Introduction:

StarDrone Extreme is a space game where you have to guide your drone through 60 levels. Each level has a certain goal like lighting up all stars, destroying all enemies or sometimes just reaching the end of the level.

StarDrone Extreme is the vita version of the StarDrone game that was first released on PS3 and an update made it possible to use cloud save to transfer your save between the Vita and the PS3 version. The game also has cross-trophies, when you unlock a trophy in one version and save your save to the cloud, you'll unlock the trophy in the other version when you load your save from the cloud. This works perfect when completing the game on the Vita and then loading it on PS3 but loash mentioned that 2 hidden trophies don't unlock on the Vita when you load your PS3 save file from the Cloud. Luckily the hidden trophies are very easy!

You can buy StarDrone Extreme and StarDrone separate from each other but there's also a bundel that includes both!

Step - 1 Complete the story without skipping and getting a medal in each level:

Simply complete all 60 levels without skipping a level and getting at least a bronze medal in each level. You'll automatically earn a lot of other trophies that are not related to completing a certain number of levels. Feel free to play on easy since it doesn't affect the trophies.

Note: Don't skip levels! If you skip a level any medals you earn in subsequent levels won't count and you'll have to redo after completing the skipped level. Luckily the skip button only works after you downloaded the free skip DLC, so I suggest you don't download that DLC!

Finishing this step should earn you:

Trophy Guide

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/098.jpgMedalist (B)

Got awarded with at least one medal on every level.

For this trophy you need to earn at least a bronze medal in each level. To check if you have a medal for a certain level, go to level select and tap on the icon of the level you want to check. At the bottom it'll show which medal you have for the level. If it says "No medal" it means that you don't have a medal for this level and that you'll need to play it again and earn a medal if you want this trophy.

At the scoreboard after you complete a level you'll see if you earned a medal in that run and you can find the reference time for the next medal you can earn. If you have no medal the reference time will be for the bronze medal. If you have the bronze medal the reference time will be for the silver medal and so on. It's possible to get a least a bronze medal in almost all levels when playing with a speed of 1. Only the last 3 levels need a higher speed and only level 5.10 needed speed 10 to complete it with a bronze medal. You can change the speed in the options menu on the start screen or in the pause menu when in-game.

Note: Don't skip levels! If you skip a level any medals you earn in subsequent levels won't count and you'll have to redo after completing the skipped level. Luckily the skip button only works after you downloaded the free skip DLC, so I suggest you don't download that DLC!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/359.jpgFirst blood! (B)

Destroyed an enemy Creeper for the first time.

An enemy Creeper looks like a black smiley with red eyes and a red mouth. You'll encounter a lot of them if you go through all levels so you should have no problem getting this trophy. To destroy an enemy creeper you first need to light up stars until the progress bar at the top is full. Once this bar is full your drone will get spikes on it and it'll be able to destroy an enemy creeper in one hit. Don't try to destroy it if you don't have spikes on you, you will only damage your own drone. It's also possible to kill them with a rocket. See Rocket Kill! for more information on that.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/A9E.jpgVibemaster destroyer (B)

Destroyed the Vibemaster boss.

You'll encounter this enemy the first time in level 5.05. The enemy looks like a metal colored smiley with yellow/orange eyes and mouth. To destroy the enemy you first need to light up start nearby so it'll try to suck up those stars to un-light them. To suck up the stars the enemy will have to open itself and expose his core. Hit the core with your drone to kill it, you will need spikes on your drone to be able to one hit kill it. Once hit the enemy will float away and as soon as it hits something it'll vanish.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/096.jpgRocket Kill! (B)

Destroyed any enemy with a rocket.

In a lot of levels G-noid's turrets will fire rockets to you. Those rockets follow you quite some time and the idea is to go towards an enemy and avoiding it at the very last moment so the rocket hits the enemy instead of you. If you go through all the levels you should have no problem unlocking the trophy since it's impossible to not kill an enemy with rockets in a few levels.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/3F4.jpgTurret destroyer (B)

Destroyed a G-noid's turret.

G-noid's turrets look like red snails and they fire rockets towards you. To destroy a turret you'll need to hit it 6-8 times if you don't have spikes on your drone and 2 times if you have spikes on your drone. It's also possible to destroy the turret with rockets. If you go through all the levels you should have no problem unlocking the trophy, since it's impossible to progress without destroying turrets in some levels.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/46D.jpgRaging drone! (B)

Wiped out 10 enemies in Comet Rush mode.

Comet Rush mode are the levels in which you need to destroy the enemies as fast as possible. You need to kill 10 enemies in total in those modes. If you go through all the levels you should have no problem unlocking the trophy since there are multiple levels with this mode and you'll have to kill more than 10 enemies in total. The first level with this mode is 2.07 and you'll have to kill 7 enemies in this level. If you play it a second time the trophy will unlock.

Passed 10 levels!

For this trophy you need to pass 10 levels. See Game Finished! for more information.

Glitch: If you played the demo and you passes at least 10 levels you can miss this trophy if you upgrade to the full game.

Possible solutions:

  • Save your save file to the Cloud and afterwards load your save from the cloud and the trophy might unlock. (I couldn't test it myself)
  • Delete the game/demo after upgrading, install it again and do the first 10 levels again. (This works, confirmed by Melia)
  • Complete the game and all other trophies first and upload your save to the Cloud. Then delete your game and install it again. Load your save from the cloud and it might unlock. (I couldn't test it myself)

Thank you to Melia for reporting this problem and giving a solution.

Passed all game levels!

For this trophy you need to pass all 60 levels. You only need to meet the requirement of the level to pass it. For example lighting up all stars or destroying all enemies. You don't need to earn a medal to pass a level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/13A.jpgLost in space.. (B)(H)

Lost in space 3 times...

For this trophy you need to be "Lost In Space" 3 times in the same level. Lost In Space means that you're too far away from the level and unable to return to the level and that a black hole will suck you up. You need to be sucked up by a black hole 3 times for this trophy. If you don't have it by the time you completed all levels I suggest that you start the first level and just launch your drone into space instead of launching it towards the stars.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/24E.jpgI got the powah! (B)(H)

Used every power-up: Berserk, Magnet and Invisibility.

There are 3 power-ups in the game and you need to use all 3 of them at least once. You use a power-up by flying through the icon of the power-up. For an image of the power-up icons, check the trophy icon of this trophy. If you go through all the levels you should have no problem unlocking the trophy since you'll automatically pick up all power-ups at least once because they're on the route and you can't evade them.

The 3 power-ups are:

[spoiler=power-up]

  • Berserk - Your drone will go berserk when you pick it up, destroying everything nearby.
  • Magnet - Your drone will become a magnet that lights-up stars and picks-up gems that are normally out of reach.
  • Invisibility - Your drone will be invisible for enemies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1504/BD0.jpgEpic fail! (B)(H)

Failed to complete a level in 20 attempts.

For this trophy you need to die or be sucked up by a black hole 20 times in a single level. It's recommended to do this 20 times in a row in one session without completing the level in between! Some people experienced difficulties with the trophy unlocking and it's probably because they didn't finish it in a row. You might get this trophy while trying to complete all levels, else pick a level and die 20 times in a row. I recommend the last levels since it's very easy to die very quickly.

Let's rock!

I got this trophy after completing the first level with a medal. I don't know if the medal is required for this trophy or not because I got a medal the first time I completed it.
