Road Map

Introduction: Welcome to Star Wars: TCWRH. If you’re playing this game, you either love the Star Wars universe or mindless button mashing or easy trophies. No matter what the reason. You’re looking at fairly quick and only mildly painful platinum. Most of this pain comes from shoddy controls and pretty poor graphics not to mention a sub par plot and lackluster game play. Now, let’s get to mapping out a quick route to the platinum.

Step 1: Finish the story on Master difficulty. Master difficulty is not challenging at all. So, just choose this from the get go. (However, MoEbeWan confirms that it is possible to play-through on Apprentice difficulty and then get all the Master difficulty trophies via level select.) While completing the game, you should try to destroy everything that moves to get yourself force points which determine what medal you get for the level. Your aim is to get at least a gold medal for each level. Each non-boss level has challenges you can play over and over again to increase your point total. Also, you should read over the “Destroy Trophies” section of this guide to get an idea of some of the trophies that you can work towards during your first play-through.

Once you get to Mission 7 on Ryloth (it’s the short level where you're on AT-STs), you should play the challenge over and over again to farm force points to unlock some nice cheats. The best strategy for this challenge is to just fire constantly at the enemies that appear on the right-hand-side of the screen. Once you’ve unlocked enough points to purchase the extra damage cheat, unlock it and continue the process. Now, you’ll get twice as many points, about 8000 points per 30 second round. Continue to farm force points until you have enough to unlock the invulnerability cheat, then continue playing the game through. It should be noted that you don’t need to unlock anything to advance the game, but you will eventually want to unlock all the non-cheat unlockables because they are tied to trophies. But since these aren’t required to beat the game you don’t really want to farm the above spot unless you have to.

Step 2: Ahsoka & Anakin/Cad/Time trial run via level select. Here you’re working towards the “Republic Heroes”, “Girl Power”, “Dynamic Duo”, “Nobody messes with…” and “Time to kill” trophies. See the various specific trophy guides for more details.

Step 3: Mop-up. Here you will clean up any stragglers that you haven’t gotten yet by going an replaying levels as appropriate.

Co-op Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/04.jpg Double Trouble (B)

Perform a Droid-Jak at the same time as your partner

You will need two controllers for this trophy. To perform a Droid-Jak, simply double jump (push X twice) onto the droid you wish to jak, then press Square. Depending on the droid, you may need to hold the Square button. After you droid-jak, you take control of the droid. To unlock this trophy, both players just need to be controlling a droid at the same time. In particular, you do not have to execute the droid-jak at the exact same time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/15.jpg Heroic Alliance (B)

Finish a mission in co-op with a combined score of over 10000 points

You will need two controllers for this trophy. This is really easy to get, as there are plenty of levels in which one player can get over 10000 points, let alone two players. If you don’t have someone to play with you, just play a level that you can get 10000 points on as a single player (Ryloth, Mission 7 is great choice) and then drop in as the second player just before the mission ends.

Finish all missions with another Player

While you do need two controllers for this trophy, it’s not all that bad to get. All you need to do is have the second player join just before the mission ends in order for the game to register that you’ve played that mission with two players. Since you have to replay every mission at least twice, I recommend holding off on getting this trophy until you go to replay the levels. This way, you’ll know (or at least have an idea of) when the level is going to end and you can have the second player join accordingly. I also highly recommend using the check list provided to mark off which level you’ve completed cooperatively because this stat is not displayed in the stat menu. Here is a link: Mission Checklist.

There are up to 2 artifacts per level although some have none. All but one or two are in plain sight and the few that are not are easy to find and not really out of the way. You can see if you need an artifact for a level by going to replay and seeing if the icons are filled or not before starting the level.

Buy every Hat & Mask

You can purchase things from the Shop menu in the pause screen. You purchase items by getting force points. I found the best way to get a lot of force points is to first buy the Extra Damage Cheat, equip it, and constantly reply the challenge in Mission 7 of Ryloth shooting only the enemies that appear on your right. If you’re doing it properly you can get over 8000 force points per round which only last 30 seconds. Remember to complete the level so that your stats save, otherwise you’ll loose all the force points you just farmed.

Here is some extra info provided by rob69 about the number of force points you need:

  • Hats/Heads: 26000
  • Upgrades: 34000
  • Droid Jacks: 35000
  • Droid Dances: 20000
  • TOTAL: 115,500

And another tip from RedEye420:

...One more thing. You recommend to save up for the extra damage cheat first. I think you mean the Combo Bar. Combo bar keeps your combo bar filled continuously and multiplies your score by three. This makes it very easy to get Gold/Platinum medals on levels and challenges. In fact, I never used the Invincible cheat. Combo Bar and Big Head are what I used. However, you can't use Combo Bar on Clone missions because they don't have combos so I used Extra Damage on those...

Destroy Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/08.jpg Droid Hopper (B)

Destroy 25 Droids by Jumping from Droid to Droid

When you see a mop of standard droids, just hop on to one and then hop to another. You can “leap frog” until the mob is gone. Do this 25 times and the trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/12.jpg Dance of Death (B)

Destroy 25 droids while they are dancing

To make a droid dance, you just need mount it by double jumping on to its back, then press Circle. Note that all other droids in proximity of the one you mounted will also dance. Once the droids start dancing, destroy them. Repeat as necessary.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/33.jpg Demolition Derby (B)

Destroy over 100 droids with Droid-Jaks

To perform a Droid-Jak, simply double jump (push X twice) onto the droid you wish to jak, then press Square. Depending on the droid, you may need to hold the Square button.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/40.jpg Bowling Master (B)

Destroy 10 Droids with a rolling Destroyer

When you droid-jak a Destroyer, the move you perform sends the destroyer hurling forward. If you have any enemies in the way, you’ll destroy them. Destroy 10 enemies this way and the trophy will pop. There is a progress bar in the Feats submenu of the Status Menu under “Bowling Battle”. There are plenty of Destroyers throughout the game, especially in later levels. So, just farm as you play.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/41.jpg My Hero (B)

Destroy 10 Droids attacking your partner

This will come naturally very quickly provided you destroy all enemies you encounter. There is a progress bar in the Feats submenu of the Status menu under “Got your back”.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/42.jpg Force Crusher (B)

Destroy 50 Droids with a mounted Force Kill

To perform a mounted force kill, double jump on to an enemy’s back and then press Triangle. Repeat 50 times.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/43.jpg Watch your step (B)

Push 50 enemies off an edge to their doom

As far as I could tell, force pushing an enemy to it’s doom did not count towards this trophy, but maybe I’m just crazy. Anyhow, I had better luck pushing enemies by having the shock wave from my high jump attack knock enemies off. To perform this move you either have to be on a high ledge or double jump off an enemy to get to the necessary height, and then you need to push Square at the peak of your jump. How ever you decide to do this, you can check your progress by looking at the “Mind the Edge” bar in the Feats submenu of the Status menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/44.jpg Grand Slam (B)

Destroy 25 Droids by doing a jump attack off another character

This is trickier than it reads. You have to “high jump” attack from another character. That means, you have to double jump on to an enemy. After you get on an enemy, you have to double jump off the enemy and press the Square button at the peak of you jump to do the proper attack. I farmed this when working towards the “Watch your step” trophy. You can check your progress by looking at the “Death from above” bar in the Feats submenu of the Status menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/45.jpg Up close and personal (B)

Destroy 50 droids with a clone melee attack

When in a clone mission, use melee (Square) to kill enemies instead of shooting. Repeat 50 times. You can check your progress by looking at the “Up close &…” bar in the Feats submenu of the Status menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/46.jpg Tag Team (B)

Destroy 100 droids your partner has stunned

This will take a very long time to do if you do not have another person to help you. However, if you do have another player, just pick any clone mission in which you are not controlling any AT-STs. The first clone mission will work. Now, just have player two only throw stun grenades while you kill the enemies. If you have purchased the infinite thermal detonators, then this is even easier to coordinate. Just have player two line up the stun grenade and player one lines up the thermal detonator in the same spot. Player two throws their grenade first, then player one follows suit. You can check your progress by looking at the “Alley-Oop” bar in the Feats submenu of the Status menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/47.jpg Handle with care (B)

Destroy 20 droids with explosive props

This may take a while to get naturally, since enemies aren’t always standing next to explosive props. However, you should get this by the time you complete the game. Unfortunately, there is no clear way of knowing what props are explosive. Fortunately, there a lot of explosive props. You can check your progress by looking at the “Boom” bar in the Feats submenu of the Status menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/48.jpg I got one! (B)

Destroy a Gold Droid

It would take a real effort to miss this trophy in the natural course of play, but I guess it’s technically possible. Anyhow, all you need to do is kill on gold droid and if you’re going for the platinum, then you’ll get this trophy on your way for “Gold Leader”.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/49.jpg Gold Leader (B)

Force Kill one of each type of Gold Droid

This is somewhat ambiguously stated, but only kills in which mount a gold droid and then press Triangle count. Unfortunately, your progress for this trophy is not made available to you. Use the following list to keep track of which ones you’ve force killed:

  • Gold Droid: These are the standard droids, except they’re gold plated.
  • Super Gold Droid: These are the slightly larger droids whose droid-jak is that you shoot their turrets.
  • Destoryer Gold Droid: These are the shielded rolling droids whose droid-jak is to send them hurling
  • Spider Gold Droid: These are the wall climbing droids whose droid-jak is to shoot a chargeable beam.
  • Crab Gold Droid: These are the crab-like (duh) droids whose droid-jak is to send a shock wave.
  • Chameleon Gold Droid: These are the mine-laying droids whose droid-jak is to lay mines.
  • Sabotage Gold Droid: These are the floating droids that phase in and out of view whose droid-jak is to break barriers.
  • Magna Gold Droid: These are the shock-bow wielding droids whose droid-jak is to have them flail their shock-bows wildly.

Note that all of these gold droids appear throughout the various jedi missions in Behpour except the Sabotage Gold droid. That one can be found various levels of Alzoc III. In particular, it is on the first one.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/50.jpg No Favorites (B)

Destroy at least one droid with each Droid-Jak

Use the list above, if you’re confused about which droid is which. Your progress is tracked in the Statistics submenu of the Status menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/38.jpg Scrap Lord (S)

Destroy 5000 droids

This may sound like a lot, but it unlocked for me around half way through the game. Granted I did some farming for other trophies along the way and this may have made the waiting time shorter. Still, you should hold off farming this trophy until you absolutely need to, since you’ll most likely get it in the natural course of things. Your progress is tracked in the Statistics submenu of the Status menu.

Miscellaneous Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/35.jpg Dynamic Duo (B)

Finish all Jedi missions as Anakin & Ahsoka

You will have to do this via level select and you will have replay every mission from the story that does not regularly have both Anakin and Ahsoka. You do not need to do this trophy in co-op. I highly recommend going for this when you work towards the “Girls Power” and “Time to kill” trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/03.jpg Girl Power (B)

Finish all Jedi Missions as Ahsoka

You will have to do this via level select. You have to choose Ahsoka as your primary character for the jedi levels. Since the “Dynamic Duo” trophy requires you to finish all jedi levels using the Anakin and Ahsoka team, you should make sure to select Anakin as your second character. I recommend you hold off on this until after you’ve completed the game. This way you have an idea of what the level is like and you can fly through the level getting a decent finishing time working towards the “Time to kill” trophy. Unfortunately, the game does not display which levels you’ve completed with Ahsoka. So, you’ll have to keep track of those levels on your own. On the bright side, I’ve included a checklist that you can use to mark off which ones have been completed. Here is a link: Mission Checklist.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/07.jpg Nobody messes with... (S)

Finish all Clone Missions as Cad Bane

You will have to do this via level select. You have to choose Cad as your primary character for the clone levels. It does not matter who you choose for your second character. I recommend you hold off on this until after you’ve completed the game. This way you have an idea of what the level is like and you can fly through the level getting a decent finishing time working towards the “Time to kill” trophy. Unfortunately, the game does not display which levels you’ve completed with Cad. So, you’ll have to keep track of those levels on your own. On the bright side, I’ve included a checklist that you can use to mark off which ones have been completed. Here is a link: Mission Checklist.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/16.jpg Youngling Award (B)

Get at least a Bronze Medal for every challenge

See the “Master Award” trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/18.jpg Master Award (S)

Get a Gold Medal for every challenge

Challenges appear at set points in a level and are not at all hidden, although you may have to clear the area of all enemies in order for the challenge to appear. As far as I can tell, medals are awarded depending on how many force points you get for the challenge. The game does not tell you what the benchmarks are, but you will often get gold (or even platinum) medals without any effort. If you fail to get at least a gold on a challenge, don’t worry you can replay it as many times as you like. The medal you got for a particular challenge is shown at the level select screen when you go to replay.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/26.jpg Can't Touch Me (B)

Defeat Kul Teska on Behpour without either player dying

This one is actually mildly challenging, but it should be noted that I did this on Master difficulty and have no idea how difficult it would be on Apprentice difficulty. Since the computer AI is so unintelligent, it is best if you just enter in a second player, move them out of the way and take Kul Teska on your own. If you have purchased the invulnerability cheat (which you should have), then this battle is pretty darn easy. For the last part of the battle, take over the second controller and let the first character stand still. Provided that you’ve activated the invulnerability cheat for the first player, you just have to make sure the character you’re controlling doesn’t get hit.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/32.jpg Droid Disruptor (B)

Get over 250 points while controlling a single droid

After you’ve droid-jaked a droid, use the jak power to destroy other droids to get points. Get 250 points on a single droid and the trophy will pop. I found the Super Droids the best to control since you can use their blasters for some time. Just be sure that there are other droids to destroy when you jak it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/34.jpg Droid Dynamo (B)

Get over 100 points while controlling each type of Droid

This is a cumulative total. So, you can build up your totals as you progress. If you haven’t gotten this after the game, just farm it out via level select. You can keep track of how many points you have while controlling each droid by checking out the Statistic submenu of the Status menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/30.jpg Jedi Master (S)

Get a Platinum Medal on a Jedi Mission

Getting a platinum medal is only slightly more difficult than getting gold and even then it’s not hard at all. I got a platinum on the prologue mission (Ryloth, Mission 1) the very first time I played the game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/31.jpg Clone Commander (S)

Get a Platinum Medal on a Clone Mission

Getting a platinum medal is only slightly more difficult than getting gold and even then it’s not hard at all. If you use Mission 7 on Ryloth to farm force points as I suggest, then you’ll definitely get this by that point.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/36.jpg High Achiever (S)

Get a total score of over 200,000 points

This is a cumulative score and it is not affected if you spend them on upgrades. Your progress can be tracked in the Mission Status submenu of the Status menu. See the “Dressed for Success” trophy for a good way to get a ton of force points.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/37.jpg Time to kill (S)

Get a combined best time for all missions under 200 minutes

There is nowhere in the game that displays your best time for a level or the sum of your best times. So, if you really want to keep track of this, you’ll have to do it on your own. You should do this via level select while you’re working towards the “Girl Power” and “Nobody messes with…” trophies. Just fly through the given mission as fast as you can killing only what needs to be killed and not doing any of the challenges. If you have the invulnerability cheat purchased (which you should), activate it so to make life a little easier. You can use the checklist I’ve provided to mark you best times, if you so desire. Here is a link: Mission Checklist.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/28.jpg Jedi Knight (B)

Get a Gold Medal on a Jedi Mission

See the “Campaign Veteran” trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/29.jpg Clone Captain (B)

Get a Gold Medal on a Clone Mission

See the “Campaign Veteran” trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/246/39.jpg Campaign Veteran (G)

Get a Gold Medal for every mission

Like the challenges, the number of force points you get for a level influences what medal you will get. However, time does play a role in determining your medal. This is certainly the case when playing boss battles, since you can’t get points in most of these. Also like the challenges, getting gold or even platinum medals is pretty easy. If you don’t get the desired medal, just go and replay the mission. The highest medal you’ve been awarded is displayed in the level select screen when you go to replay.

HAHA. Man I wanted to write a guide for this game, but I didn't know where to start. Way to go Cauchy! I have some info that might be helpful as well.

1) in case anyone cares, the store item totals are as follows:

Hats/Heads: 26000

Upgrades: 34000

Droid Jacks: 35000

Droid Dances: 20000

--------------------

TOTAL: 115,500

Also I think you only have to by HATS for the trophy, not heads, but I can't remember if I was dreaming that or not (in which case it is much less).

2) The best boost spot (IMO) is on Ryloth, Mission 7: (Out on Patrol). There is a challenge in the middle of the level that you can keep re-playing. You are in the mini-walkers and you can rack up TONs of points just shooting towards the right side of the screen.

3) I wrote down most of the Gold Droid Locations, but I forgot the official names:

The best is in:

In this level there is almost one of everything

Behpour, mission 7: A Skywalker Plan

-Gold Battle Droid,

-Larger Gold Battle Droid,

-Gold Crab,

-Gold Long Nose Robot,

-Gold Destroyer Roller,

-Gold Staff Guy

So the only ones your missing are the:

Alzoc III, Mission 1: Cliff Top, and Mission 3: Eye of The Storm

-Gold Spinning Hover Droid

and

Juma-09, Mission 3: Hazardous Infestation (other places too, but I forgot)

-Gold Mine Laying Droid

BTW, this is Brilliant:

I saw some guys on the Xbox360 site talking about buying the invulnerability cheat for both players...which is totally not needed. But it would help I suppose.

yo man, does anyone know how to get the gold or hell even platinum medals for the first and last kul teska fight and the at st mission on behpour, i cant manage to do it.

Follow the strategy outlined in the "Can't Touch Me" trophy. It may take several tries, but you should get it. If you still can't get it, then you can use the advice given from robg69 and farm Ryloth Mission 7 for force points for player 2 until you can unlock invulnerability for him as well.

Droid Jacks: 35000

Droid Dances: 20000

--------------------

TOTAL: 115,500

Also I think you only have to by HATS for the tropy, not heads, but I can't remember if I was dreaming that or not (in which case it is much less).

2) The best boost spot (IMO) is on Ryloth, Mission 7: (Out on Patrol).

Thanks for the extra info. I'll try to incoporate what I haven't already included.

Follow the strategy outlined in the "Can't Touch Me" trophy. It may take several tries, but you should get it. If you still can't get it, then you can use the advice given from robg69 and farm Ryloth Mission 7 for force points for player 2 until you can unlock invulnerability for him as well.

I was curious about this too. I'm currently going for the golds, and I think its only the Kul Teska fights that I missed the golds on. Is it just me, or does the Invulnerability cheat lower your chances of getting gold??? It could be that I just suck, LOL. I assume if you die, it affects the ranking as well?

On a side note, I also noticed that sometimes when playing certain levels, I would get less than gold. BUT if I killed everyone and then did a challenge (and got gold or platinum) that it would increase my chances of getting at least gold on the level. Could be coincidence, but thought I'd mention it.

I'm pretty sure the only thing that affects the medal that you are awarded in boss battles is how fast you complete them.

I think you're right. I beat the Kul Teska fight in Behpour (without dying) in 4:34 and I only got silver... I guess I'll keep trying.

EDIT:

Ok so I tried something different. I was using the Inv (invulnerability) cheat and it was just taking me to long. So I sacrificed the Inv cheat for the Extra Damage cheat (you can't use both at the same time). I died several times, but I ended up beating him in 3:23 and I got a platinum. So I think Cauchy is right and the time is the MOST important factor, but not necessarily the deciding factor.

it is beat the first kul teska fight under 5 minutes and you will get gold. the last part of the fight is the hardest to do fast but yea. got platinum. that was the last gold i needed. the other kul teska fights are easy to get gold

Co-op Trophies

Republic Heroes(S)

Finish all missions with another Player

While you do need two controllers for this trophy, it’s not all that bad to get. All you need to do is have the second player join just before the mission ends in order for the game to register that you’ve played that mission with two players. Since you have to replay every mission at least twice, I recommend holding off on getting this trophy until you go to replay the levels. This way, you’ll know (or at least have an idea of) when the level is going to end and you can have the second player join accordingly. I also highly recommend using the check list provided to mark of which level you’ve completed cooperatively because this stat is not displayed in the stat menu. Here is a link: Mission Checklist.

Has anyone else been successful with the joining towards the end of the levels? I went through every level last night and I joined each level near the end and finished with both controllers and I never got the trophy. I REALLY don't feel like going through this damn game another time playing both players. Any ideas (besides the obvious, and replay the whole game with both controllers on)?

Yea man I did. I made a spreadsheet and marked off all kinds of stuff including co-op plays (I'm a nerd). I'm just concerned that if I play through again with just joining at the end, that I won't get the trophy again. I guess I'll just make sure to play with both players on the entire game, one more time. Sigh, did I mention I hate this game?

There are definitely some bad Star Wars games out there (I used to play Rebel Assault, and I thought it was good at the time, though and it was on the list). As are the new trilogy movies. I suppose, now that I've finished it, it's not THE worst, but the controls are some of the worst I've ever seen.

BTW, I finally got the co-op trophy and my platinum. I played through the entire 1st planet with both controllers on, started the 2nd planet, and after the first level, it popped. I know for a fact I had already done those levels, so it either 1) didn't register for that level for some reason, or 2) it's glitched. Anyway's thank GOD, I'm finished, whoo hoo! :D
