Introduction

SSX is back and bigger than ever and after 7 long years without a true SSX game, it is currently unchallenged in it's genre, a refreshing take on an Extreme Sports game. This time around in addition to Trick and Race modes, they added a new type, Survive It! which is basically "See how far you can get before dying." You can race in nine (Or ten if you have the Mt. Fuji bonus track for pre-ordering) mountain ranges across the world participating in these events, competing against friends, rivals and strangers.

Walkthrough

Before you start

I strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the badge requirements (See The Golden Campaign, Tricker, The Finish Line, and Gear Pack) before playing through World Tour, as Tricky, Race, Gear, and obviously World Tour badges can be earned during World Tour play. Your goal in World Tour is to collect as many Snowflakes and Geotags as you can find, spend as much time as you can in wingsuit, and knock down riders (This is the only mode in which you can). You can play through World Tour however you would like and come back for any Trophies and Badges you may have missed, or follow this guideline the first time around as this will reduce the amount of times you will have to replay courses, and you wont have to keep track of who you've completed what track with, but it is the player's choice.

Step 1 - Play Through World Tour: World Tour is essentially a long tutorial that you can use to earn credits and experience, free Geotags, unlock characters, and familiarize yourself with each peak. I suggest that as soon as you have enough money saved up, buy the cheapest board for Pass The Board Wax and when you unlock the ability to equip gear and use mods, buy one of each to unlock Gear Up! and I Need A Boost, respectively. You may sell these back to the store in order to recoup your money, since early game items are largely useless since they get replaced very quickly.

For each Deadly Descent, playing each without their associated Gear will unlock these trophies: Tree Hugger(The Rockies - Mount Robson), The Apple Theory(Patagonia - Fitz Roy), Do You See What I See(Africa - Mt. Kilimanjaro), Ice To See You(Siberia), It's Cold Out Here(Antarctica - Mt. Slaughter), Rocky Road(The Alps - Mont Blanc), Buried Alive(Alaska - Denali) and Caution Low Visibility(New Zealand - Aoraki). If you complete each Deadly Descent the first time without using rewinds or the specific equipments, you will only need to play each once, but it is not necessary to do this, as each individual Descent may be replayed.

Once you have completed at least Vinson - Massif in Antarctica, you may go back and beat Griff or his ghost on six tracks with six different characters (See The Golden Campaign). If you beat Griff in all six zones with each of Zoe, Elise, Mac, Tane, Kaori, and Moby, then you only need to have Alex, Psymon, and Ty ride with Yuri and Wizard (Yuri can be found in Antarctica, New Zealand, the Alps, and Himalayas - Lhotse - Death Zone, and Wizard in Africa, Patagonia, and the Rockies) to unlock Around The World.

If you did not meet any of these requirements in your first playthrough, you may replay the individual runs to clean up any trophies or badges you may have missed, upon completion of World Tour (Including badges) you should have unlocked the following trophies: That Was Easy, Grindage, I'm Flying!, I'm Alive!, Gear Up!, Pass The Board Wax, I Need a Boost, Team SSX, Around The World, Tree Hugger, The Apple Theory, Do You See What I See, Ice To See You, It's Cold Out Here, Rocky Road, Buried Alive and Caution Low Visibility.

Step 2 - Play Explore

There is no linear "Playthrough" for explore mode, as you may play any course in whatever order you wish, though some may need to be bought to unlock.

To earn all the trophies and badges in Explore mode, your goal is to absolutely seed any run you are in with Geotags, at least 25, but you will likely need to hide more, depending on if yours get collected, as some need to hang around til their expiration (See The Gold Miner for more on Geotags.).

You should focus on a single range of mountains, and get gold medals on each run, and using all nine members of team SSX (Zoe, Elise, Mac, Alex, Tane, Kaori, Psymon, Moby, and Ty) to earn at least a bronze in at least one Survive It!, Race It! and Trick It! to pop Leave No One Behind, Pass The Baton, and Tag Team. You will also need to earn at least a Bronze medal in a single Trick It! without performing any Super Über tricks (Überlesscious), and at least a Bronze in a Race It! without using any boost (Who Needs Boost).

Look for friends' ghosts to beat, at least one on each range, to earn I Ain't Afraid of Snow Ghost. You may need to wait for your friends to challenge and fail your ghosts, Geotags to expire, or beat more friends records.

Do a clean up of the remaining badges, and once that is done you will earn The Gold Miner.

Step 3 - Global Events

At the minimum you will need to compete in 150 events, 50 each of Survive It!, Race It! and Trick It! Make sure you participate in one on each peak and at least 50 Custom Events as well (Peaks are individual mountains in a range), and Peak-A-Boo will pop.

At some point you will need to spend 1,000,000 credits on a drop cost and play in a Global Event with 50,000 or more riders.

Step 4 - Clean Up

If by this point you are still missing some badges or trophies, or have already played through the game and are backtracking for completion, now is the time to check your Badge case and see what you're missing, as well as any trophies that may have been too much trouble the first time around.

Additional Notes

Global Events and Rival ghosts in Explore mode do not require an Online Pass to participate in, but you will require one in order to gain credits from online events, which means you will be able to complete the Explore Badges(The Gold Miner Trophy) because you will be able to place Geotags, (which you would not be able to do offline) but you will not receive credits for placing or collecting them, which will prevent you from earning badges such as Own The Planet(In Global Events, earn more than 1,000,000 SSX Credits lifetime).

The Bandwagon badge (Play in a Global Event with 50,000 or more Riders) has yet to be achieved on live play.

All button references in the guide are made with Standard controls in mind.

Earn All Trophies

This is the ultimate, and more than likely the reason you're reading this.

Unlock All Game Modes

Play through the mandatory tutorial and after finishing the tutorial track, the game modes will unlock, and the trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/B01.jpgGrindage (B)

Grind your first rail (not achievable in Tutorial)

During gameplay in any mode or run, excluding the mandatory tutorial track, simply steer your snowboarder close to a bright red rail and you should automatically start to grind.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/C35.jpgI'm Flying! (B)

Deploy your wingsuit for the first time (not achievable in Tutorial)

A wingsuit can be obtained by playing through to Patagonia in World Tour mode and unlocking Elise, who comes equipped with her own unique wingsuit, or by purchasing one in the GEAR slot during character select in Explore or Global Event modes. Make sure the wingsuit is equipped and during gameplay press :r1: until your character deploys their wingsuit and this trophy should pop. Pressing :r1: even off a standard on the ground jump should be enough air to unlock this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/37C.jpgI'm Alive! (B)

Rewind out of Death for the First Time (not achievable in Tutorial)

First off, dying due to losing all of your Health cannot unlock this trophy, as your run will end and you will be unable to rewind as soon as your characters Health reaches zero. You must fall into a crevasse until a message appears saying Rewind Press and hold :l1: to rewind back onto the track. Press and hold :l1: as the message says, you only have to rewind until the message disappears (until you are technically alive again) to unlock this trophy, it does not matter if you don't rewind far enough and fall back over the edge.

Unlock every member of Team SSX through World Tour (or purchase in Explore or Global Events)

You will unlock all members of Team SSX by playing through World Tour mode, or you can purchase them individually in Explore or Global Events modes. Note that Griff does not count as a member of Team SSX and does not need to be unlocked. This trophy will be unlocked once you own Zoe, Elise, Mac, Alex, Tane, Kaori, Psymon, Moby, and Ty.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/D39.jpgAround The World (B)

Ride with all three Pilots with each member of Team SSX

You need to ride with all three Pilots with each of the nine members of Team SSX. The three Pilots are Miss Dragonfly, (Uncle?) Yuri and Wizard.

Miss Dragonfly is the sole female pilot, who will take you through Himalayas (Except Lhotse - Death Zone), Alaska, and Siberia.

Yuri is the Russian-accented pilot for Antarctica, the Alps, New Zealand, for Lhotse - Death Zone in the Himalayas.

Wizard is the Australian male pilot who you may find in Africa, Patagonia, and the Rockies.

You need to participate in at least one event piloted by each of these pilots with every member of Team SSX. If you play through World Tour mode, you will use each pilot for Zoe, and you can complete the badges that require you to beat Griff or his ghost at the same time for the rest of the characters. (See The Golden Campaign)

Upload your first personal ghost

When playing in Explore mode simply compete on any track in Trick It! Race It! or Survive It! and if connected to the internet, your best score will be uploaded upon completion. Survive It! events are easiest to get this trophy with, as you can die as soon as possible and still count as a 'successful' run, while for Race It! and Trick It! you will have to complete the course alive.

Reach level 10 with any character

For this trophy you must level any character up to level 10. For fastest leveling, take your current highest leveled character, likely Zoe if you completed World Tour first, and collect the 1,000,000 credit snowflake, as at the end of each run credits earned are translated into experience for your character. For more information and a video on how to find/reach this Snowflake, see http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ssx/148809-1-million-exp-geotag-white-snowflake.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/C5D.jpgTree Hugger (S)

Survive Trees Deadly Descent without equipping armor (in World Tour)

Complete Deadly Descent: Trees in World Tour mode without equipping armor, in The Rockies - Mount Robson. If you have not completed this event before, you will be playing as Zoe.

The first Deadly Descent is basically a straight path down with flares lighting everything along it. Obviously there are a lot of trees along the sides, as well as a few downed in your path you'll have to jump over. A general rule for Deadly Descents is that since you're not usually racing anyone or anything, and there's no score to beat, you can go as slow as you'd like. For Trees, you can follow the path, pressing down on the left stick every once in a while to slow if you feel you're going too fast, and leisurely hop over trees whenever they block your way. You can also equip a wingsuit if you have an easier time flying over the obstacles. Just make sure that you do not crash while landing. Finish alive and this trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/ECE.jpgThe Apple Theory (S)

Survive Gravity Deadly Descent without equipping a wingsuit (in World Tour)

You need to survive Deadly Descent: Gravity without equipping a wingsuit. This event takes place in Patagonia in Fitz Roy - Broken Elbow. If you have not completed this event before, you will be playing as Elise.

Once again there is no opponent nor score limit to beat, so you do not have to rush, you will have to maintain a decent speed (At least 100kmph for most, for the big jump at 860 meters left, about 120kmph+) in order to safely jump over crevasses without falling so I would recommend performing enough tricks to keep your Tricky meter at least half full for when you need it. It will take a few tries for you to figure out how you need to angle your jumps. Upon successful completion without use of a wingsuit, you will be awarded this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/9EB.jpgDo You See What I See (S)

Survive Darkness Deadly Descent without equipping a headlamp or pulse goggles (in World Tour)

For this Trophy, you have to survive Deadly Descent: Darkness without equipping a headlamp or pulse goggles in World Tour mode. This event takes place in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro - Snake Bite, if you have not previously completed this run you will be playing as Mac.

This Descent will throw you straight into a subterranean cave system with almost no light, at night. It's pretty dark down there, but here's where you get tricky. Turn the Brightness on your TV all the way up to 100%, play at night, and/or turn off other light sources to reduce glare. This will pretty much negate any challenge from the dark, and make it far easier to complete. I found this run easier to complete than with using the Headlamp as the entire course being lit the same made it easier to see your surroundings instead of what is directly ahead of you. Once again you have no opponent, so feel free to stop as often as you need to and take it slow. There are lots of railings down here and you can grind almost all of the lips on the crevasses, so if you're having some trouble with falling over the edges, you can hold down :l2: and grind most edges, though you may not want to rely on this as occasionally crevasse edges may end your grind due to little bumps. I highly recommend against using the wingsuit or boosting here. Boosting will made you a bit harder to control and may send you up the side of a wall or dunk you into a crevasse.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/D06.jpgIce To See You (S)

Survive Ice Deadly Descent without equipping ice axes (in World Tour)

For Deadly Descent: Ice you have to complete Mount Belukha East - Punch Up in Siberia in World Tour mode without using Ice Axes as your gear. If you have not previously completed this event then you will be racing as Alex.

The ice makes turning and stopping much harder. Boosting while turning helps a little though it's a bit hard to time and shouldn't be relied upon. There are quite a few rails and snow-covered rails that you may grind all the way to their end and will usually put you safely on the ground and usually lead to another helpful rail. I recommend starting off by grinding the first rail, following that to the next rail on the right side, which itself leads to a snow-covered rail that will take you over the crevasse and to the other side, from there if you keep to the left be warned that the terrain has a very wavy shape to it and the crevasse will cut in and out and if you go too fast you may find yourself swallowed up by it. The wingsuit is also very helpful here if you would rather use that than grinding.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/18E.jpgRocky Road (S)

Survive Rock Deadly Descent without equipping armor (in World Tour)

Complete Deadly Descent: Rocks in the Alps, Mont Blanc - One Way Ticket without equipping armor. If you have not previously completed this event, you will be using Tane.

This is a very narrow run and although you can use a wingsuit to soar over a lot of the course with minimal risk, the wingsuit is very hard to control and most of the sides of the canyon will deal damage if you do not have enough accuracy to land on the snow. I recommend equipping a slow board and taking this very slowly, as a staggering amount of this course is able to do damage to you; landing on rocks, hitting a wall, hitting rocks on the course and this will all add up very quickly. The first major jump that Yuri warns you about you cannot take slowly, as there are a lot of rocks directly below the cliff that will do a lot of damage if you land on them. I would recommend maneuvering around rocks when possible as opposed to jumping over them to reduce risk of jumping into walls. Upon completion of this event with no armor the trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/0D6.jpgBuried Alive (S)

Survive Avalanche Deadly Descent without equipping armor (in World Tour)

Complete Deadly Descent: Avalanche in Alaska, Denali - Emergency Exit without the use of armor. If you have not previously completed this event you will be using Psymon.

For this descent your camera will be reversed and actions such as landing a jump or making a sharp turn will start snow balls rolling down the hill(Avalanche). This is one of the few descents where speed is your friend as you will need to outrun the avalanche so it is a good idea to hit Tricky/Super Tricky as soon as possible and maintain it. The snow balls gather speed as they travel down the hill and will do damage to you, and if there are enough, they can knock you over. When you start the run you'll have a few dozen meters to build up your boost without having to worry about avalanches; the snow's solid at the top. Listening to the Helicopter pilot is also useful, as she'll say things like "There's a crevasse on your left, stay to the right." These messages also appear written on the snow in huge letters, and all of these refer to the players direction, for example when they say "Stay Left", it means the left side of your screen, not in reference to which way your character is moving/facing.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/222.jpgIt's Cold Out Here (S)

Survive Cold Deadly Descent without equipping a solar panel (in World Tour)

Complete Deadly Descent: Cold in Antarctica, Mount Slaughter - Dreadnaught without equipping a Solar Panel. A poll on this site rated this the most difficult Deadly Descent. If you have not previously completed this event, you will be playing as Moby. The easiest way to complete this challenge is to equip a wingsuit and soar over a certain path. Core Temperature will not regenerate in the sun the way Health does if you do not take more damage in a certain time frame, so stopping will not help you much. Accumulate lots of boost and keep to the right of the stage.

There are videos online of people earning this trophy with Moby, without using the wingsuit, but I think this is better for guide purposes as he talks you through the run and explains things to aim for. Use this as a general guideline as far as route to take, but he goes through a lot of shadows that can be easily avoided, especially at the beginning.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/D41.jpgCaution Low Visibility (S)

Survive Whiteout Deadly Descent without equipping pulse goggles (in World Tour)

Complete Deadly Descent: Whiteout in New Zealand, Aoraki - Route Zero without equipping pulse goggles. If you have not previously completed this event you will be racing as Ty. I would not recommend using the wingsuit unless you are intimately familiar with the course. This will also be your first time competing against Griff in a descent, over three runs for me he finished 2:56:50, 3:02:91 and 3:02:90, he may do better or worse(I have seen him fall into crevasses and need to rewind out), but aim for under three minutes if you would like to beat him.

The obstacle of this descent is the fact that the blizzard does not allow you to see much further than about 40 to 45 meters in front of you. Lit flares occasionally light the path and may allow guide you, and if you are behind Griff, his ethereal trail may also be used as a guide, but as previously stated, he has been known to fall into crevasses. Surviving the run and not using Pulse Goggles are requirements for this trophy to pop. You do not have to beat Griff.

Earn a Bronze in a Trick Event with every member of Team SSX (in Explore)

It does not have to be the same Trick It! event, but you must earn at least Bronze in one Trick event in Explore mode for all Nine members of Team SSX; everyone except Griff, and Eddie(Preorder bonus from Gamestop). See The Golden Trick IT

Earn a Bronze Medal on a Trick Event in Explore without landing any Super Übers

Super Über tricks are tricks performed while in Super Tricky (When the word TRICKY is fully gold and flashing), you should avoid achieving Super Tricky mode all together, as any trick button pushes while airborne will be a Super Über. You must finish Bronze or above to pop this Trophy.

For more general tips See The Golden Trick IT

Earn your 1st Gold in a Trick Event (in Explore)

To do your best, you need good gear, using a board with high values, especially Tricks, as it will allow you to get to Tricky/Super Tricky faster to bust out Über and Signature moves. Charge up your jumps to spin/flip faster. Doing basic tricks off the ground and performing manuals will keep your meter running and your combo multiplier going. Avoid rewinding but if you're having a good run it's okay if you're gaining back more than you lose. Runs that are easier to trick off of have higher gold medal scores, and harder runs have lower scores, so choose whichever you think you'd have a better chance of winning. I recommend Serenity, it's a huge course with tons of grinds and jumps. If you need a boost, buy the best Trick mod you can. Characters with Tricky+ perks are

Mac (+15), Eddie (+15, Gamestop Preorder only), Kaori (+10), Ty (+10), Zoe (+5), and Griff (+5).

See The Golden Standard

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/28D.jpgWho Needs Boost (S)

Earn a Bronze Medal on a Race Event in Explore without using any boost

I recommend choosing a short track, with minimal unavoidable jumps and plenty of rails to grind, as all of those things will decrease your time. Hug corners, bring a wingsuit and use it to maintain a decent speed while in the air, or skip large chunks of track. Also, as performing tricks in a race are solely for the purpose of building boost, they are entirely unnecessary now. Only grinding is beneficial, as it will move you at decent speeds and keep you out of the air, usually.

For other tips, see The Golden Standard, but do not use boost.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/B4F.jpgThe Gold Standard (S)

Earn your 1st Gold in a Race Event (in Explore)

The better your gear, the better your chances, Speed adds to your rider's top speed and acceleration, Boost increases your speed when boosting and decreases the amount of boost drained per second (Though this is irrelevant while you're in Tricky/Super Tricky as you have unlimited boost), and Tricks increases your speed of rotation and makes it easier to earn Super Tricky.

If you get dropped out of a helicopter, do a basic trick possibly with a tweak or rotation in order to build up some early boost, and build up to Super Tricky as quick as you can. Flares are also a godsend because they build meter and you don't even need to jump. After that, stay on the ground as much as possible, only doing tricks once Tricky starts blinking, indicating that if you do not continue performing tricks it will fade. Note that Tricky CANNOT fade while you are in the air, if the timer runs out while you are in the air, Tricky will fade upon landing.

Jumping slows you down and you cannot boost while in the air. Grinding is something you want to do as often as you can due to the fact that you move just as fast as you do on the ground, you gain boost if you are not in Tricky, and you are able to boost while you grind. The only problem is you have no control of steering or where the rail will take you. Press :l2: to dismount from a grind before it becomes a detriment. Using a wingsuit is also an option, especially when it can be used to jump over large portions of the course, or over obstacles, however it builds no boost and you cannot boost while using it.

If you still need an edge you can buy Speed or Boost mods. Characters with Speed+ or Boost+ Perks are Alex (Speed+15), Psymon (Boost+15), Elise (Speed+10, Boost+5), Tane (Speed+10, Boost+5), Moby (Speed+5, Boost+10), Zoe (Speed+5, Boost+5), Griff (Speed+5, Boost+5), Kaori (Boost+5), and Ty (Speed+5).

Earn your 1st Gold in a Survive Event (in Explore)

If you have played through World Tour you likely have an idea of which Survive event you found the easiest, however the option to Survive It! can be unlocked on runs other than where the original Deadly Descent was held. I would recommend staying away from Antarctic and Himalayan survival events, as no matter what there is a solid limit to how far down you can go, as your Oxygen reserves will eventually deplete in the Himalayas, and no matter how good you are, touching shadows and having your core temperature lowered is unavoidable in Antarctica.

I would recommend any survival event requiring armor, as I found those the easiest if you simply avoid the obstacles, but note that for each run you complete, you will take extra damage from hazards. Distances differ, but usually no more than two full runs of a survival course are required for a gold medal.

Beat a Friend's Rival Ghost in every Range (in Explore)

In Explore mode, a Rival Ghost is a record any friend has set that is over your best for that run. If you have not completed an event, then it is the lowest record any friend holds. If none of your friends have played a run, there is no Rival. To pop this trophy you must beat a friend's ghost on each of the nine ranges. An easy way to tell if you have beaten your rival is in the Drop Bonus section of the post-race screen, you should see a PSN icon among the earned badges. If you have Mount Fuji in Japan, it does not count for this trophy.

It is possible to boost this trophy by having a friend set an extremely low record on any run, and beating their record. Survive events are perfect for this as they can be found on every range and are extremely easy to die, ensuring a low record. If you need friends who play SSX, see http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ssx/144182-co-op-partners-thread-friends-rivals-read-first-post.html

Participate in a Global Event in every Peak

You have to participate in one event in each Peak in every Range, excluding Japan, if you have it. Every mountain range has three peaks in it, except Himalayas which has four. The Ranges are the Rockies, Patagonia, Africa, Siberia, the Alps, Himalayas, Alaska, Antarctica, and New Zealand. Once again, Mount Fuji is not necessary.

Note that CUSTOM EVENTS will not count towards this achievement, you must participate in a Global Event.

For Each of the following Trophies, each of the badges has three tiers, format is 1stbadge/2nd/final.

Collect all Gear Badges

Get all 24 badges under the GEAR category:

Collect 1/50/200 Geotags or Snowflakes

To collect a Geotag or Snowflake, simply pass close enough to it and you will automatically collect it. There are 599 Snowflakes in the game, they do not respawn. Geotags are placed by users and are unlimited. Only a certain number of Geotags and Snowflakes will spawn in a certain level per run.

Place 1/10/25 Geotags

To place a Geotag equip a geotag in the Gear Select screen and during gameplay Rewind by pressing :l1: then press :cross: to place.

Get all Team SSX Members to Level 2/4/6.

Collect all World Tour Badges

Get all 30 badges under the WORLD TOUR category:

Unlock Zoe, Elise and Alex/Tane, Moby and Kaori/ Psymon, Mac, and Ty comics.

Comics are little stories about each member of Team SSX, they can be unlocked by playing through World Tour, after you unlock each character by racing the person to be unlocked with Zoe, their respective comic will be unlocked.

Finish 3/6/9 Deadly Descents.

Simply finish Deadly Descents, using any gear, rewinds or character. You must complete each range's Descent in World Tour before you may advance to the next range.

Finish 3/6/9 Deadly Descents using no rewinds.

A little bit more challenging as you must complete all nine descents with any character, as long as you do not use rewinds. You are allowed to use equipment to earn this badge.

Knockdown 1/10/25 riders.

Knocking down other riders is only possible in World Tour mode, in order to knockdown a rider, you simply snowboard through them and your character should push them over. Knocking over the same rider multiple times using rewind DOES work but note that rewind will not affect other riders, limiting the usefulness. Note that you cannot knockdown ghosts, as they are immaterial.

Format for following badges is: (Character you've already beat him with)Range - Peak - Event - Average time/score.

If a badge has multiple runs listed then any combination of the runs may be completed in order to earn the badge.

Beat Griff in Africa with 1/3/6 unique members of Team SSX.

(Mac)Africa – Mawenzi – Hush (Race It!) - 2:55:80

Collect all Explore Badges

Many of these Badges require friends to set records, if you need to find friends to play SSX with see http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ssx/144182-co-op-partners-thread-friends-rivals-read-first-post.html

Get all 15 badges under the EXPLORE category:

Earn a Bronze/Silver/Gold Medal for every drop in 1 Range.

Mount Fuji does not count for this badge. You must earn Bronze/Silver/Gold medals in all Trick, Race and Survive It! events for the 3-4 peaks in each range. I found Alaska easiest, but this 100% comes down to personal preference.

Earn a total of 1500/15,000/150,000 SSX Credits from ghost wins.

When you complete an event in Explore mode while on the PSN, you upload a ghost that your friends compete against when they do the same event. If they fail to beat your record, you gain credits. Competing in as many events on as many different ranges and peaks as you can will increase your chances of friends playing against your ghost. Of course you may boost this badge by having your friends purposely fail to break your records repeatedly. You may have to quit and restart the game in order to earn this badge.

Your records have withstood 1/25/50 challenge from your Friends.

This similar to the previous badge set, but this time the amount of Credits is not what is important, but rather how many times they fail to beat your ghost. This may be boosted in the same way as the previous badge set.

Beat 1/25/50 Friends records.

Records do not have to be set by 50 different friends, you may beat one friend's records 50 times, or two friends' records 25 times each, etc. You may boost this by having a friend set very low records on runs and doing better than they did.

Place 1/5/15 Geotag that never gets collected (earning you the max)

This one seems to have most people confused, especially about the definition of "never". Once you place a Geotag, an invisible timer starts. The length of this timer is affected by the color of the Geotag. Geotags of level 1-7 are Green and have the lowest timer, Geotags level 8 and 9 are Purple and have a medium length timer, and Geotags level 10 are Yellow and have the longest timer.

If a Geotag is collected before the timer expires, you receive a percentage of the total credits and the person who collected it gets the full amount of credits. However, if the timer reaches it's full duration, the Geotag expires and you receive the full amount of credits on the Geotag. Each Geotag that expires naturally brings you one step closer to these badges.

As for hiding the Geotags, I recommend against placing them in places you reached accidentally. It may seem out of the way, but if you got there by accident, it's likely someone else will as well. A better thing to do is place them in areas that you must aim for, like an area you must go off the track and/or boost uphill in order to reach. Also, not many people play levels in the Himalayas that require Oxygen tanks, or, to a lesser extent, ones in Antarctica that require Solar Panels. A well hid Geotag on either of those levels will have minimal risk of being found.

I hope this cleared up any confusion surrounding Geotagging.

Collect all Global Events Badges

Get all 33 badges under the GLOBAL EVENTS category:

Finish in Diamond Bracket 1/5/10 times in a Global Event (awarded after While You Were Away earnings)

Rewards in Global Events are tiered. The Diamond Bracket has the fewest amount of people, while offering the highest rewards. Finish #1 in any event 10 times in order to earn these badges. You must quit and restart the game in order to earn the badge. You can boost this by looking for Events with less than ten minutes left with no contestants, there are quite a few of these, especially on Oxygen Tank levels.

Finish in Platinum Bracket 1/5/10 times in a Global Event (awarded after While You Were Away earnings)

Platinum Bracket can have more riders in it than Diamond Bracket, but offers less of the total rewards. Finish in the Platinum bracket 10 times and this badge will pop upon quitting and restarting the game.

Finish in Gold Bracket 1/5/10 times in a Global Event (awarded after While You Were Away earnings)

Gold Bracket can have more riders in it than Platinum Bracket, but offers even less of the total rewards. Finish in the Gold bracket 10 times and this badge will pop upon quitting and restarting the game.

Finish in Silver Bracket 1/5/10 times in a Global Event (awarded after While You Were Away earnings)

Silver Bracket can have yet more riders in it than Gold Bracket, but offers even less of the total rewards. Finish in the Silver bracket 10 times and this badge will pop upon quitting and restarting the game.

Compete in a Race Event 1/10/50 times

You must participate in any Race Event 50 separate times. Two different runs in the same Event will not count twice, they must be different Global or Custom Events.

Compete in a Trick Event 1/10/50 times

You must participate in any Trick Event 50 separate times. Two different runs in the same Event will not count twice, they must be different Global or Custom Events.

Compete in a Survive Event 1/10/50 times

You must participate in any Survive Event 50 separate times. Two different runs in the same Event will not count twice, they must be different Global or Custom Events.

Compete in a Custom Event 1/10/50 times

Custom Events are Global Events that have been created by Users as opposed to the servers.

Play in a Global Event with 1,000/15,000/50,000 or more Riders

Thanks to a recent patch, this trophy now auto-pops on starting the relevant event.

Join an Event with a 10,000/100,000/1,000,000 credit Drop Cost

Some Global Events may have drop costs, which are amounts of Credits you have to pay in order to participate in them. Once a drop cost is payed for a certain event, you may play it as many times as you wish until the event ends, and you will never have to pay the drop cost again. You cannot start a custom event with a 1,000,000 credit drop cost in order to earn this badge.

In Global Events, earn more than 25,000/100,000/1,000,000 SSX Credits lifetime

You must earn over one million credits just from Global Events. This should be easy and will come quickly when you play your 50 Trick/Race/Survive events, or when you spend 1,000,000 on a drop cost, if you place anywhere, you should earn at least the million credits you spent.

Collect all Tricky Badges

Get all 12 badges under the TRICKY category:

Kept Tricky alive for 30/60/180 seconds.

After you reach Tricky, eventually the word Tricky will start blinking, which is indicative that it's going to fade soon, this can be delayed by performing tricks, including Grinding and Manualling. Tricky cannot fade while you are in the air, even if you are not doing tricks. This is not cumulative and Tricky must be maintained for three minutes, without reverting to normal, in a single run.

I recommend Serenity, as it is a very long course with a lot of grinds. You will however need to perform a lot of simple jump and spin tricks off the ground in order to keep Tricky from fading. Equipping Boards or Outfits with Perk: Longer Tricky Time will also help.

Accumulate 5/30/180 minutes spent in Tricky

You must spend a total of three hours in Tricky. This is cumulative among all characters and modes of play. Equipping Boards or Outfits with Perk: Longer Tricky Time will greatly help.

Perform a Signature Trick with 3/6/9 unique Characters

Each character has their own individual unique Signature Trick, which can only be done while in SUPER TRICKY mode. To perform a Character's Signature Trick, while in Super Tricky mode hold :l2: and :r2: and press any face button; :triangle:, :circle:, :cross: or :square:

Perform every Basic/Super/Super Über trick

For a comprehensive list of every Trick in the book (Literally) see http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ssx/147489-offical-trick-list.html. Note that Basic tricks must be done before you hit Tricky, Super tricks are done while in Tricky, but before you hit Super Tricky, and Super Über tricks can only be done while in Super Tricky.

Collect all Race Badges

Get all 15 badges under the RACE category:

Achieve a speed of over 175/200/250 km/h

You will more than likely hit 250 km/h by holding your wingsuit out and aiming at the ground or in a race event with your finger on the boost. Boards or Outfits with Perk: Boost Bonus, or boards with high Speed or Boost stats will help, as does going downhill.

Maintain 100 km/h for 5/20/40 seconds

Maintain 130 km/h for 5/20/40 seconds

The easiest way to get these badges is to find a nice stretch of flat ground where you can use boost to get your speed over 130km/h (Speed is visible on your speedometer in the upper left hand corner of your screen), and simply rewind to the beginning, making sure not to rewind to before you reached 130 km/h, and do it over. Once you have boosted for over 40 seconds you will earn these badges.

Boost for more than 3/30/120 minutes total

Use boost for two hours total time. Since you have unlimited boost while in Tricky, Boards or Outfits with Perk: Longer Tricky Time will help. This badge is cumulative over all characters and game modes.

Ride a total of 10/50/200 Kms in Race Events

You must travel a total of 200 kilometers in race events. These badges are cumulative over all characters and game modes, but only for Race It! type events.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/850/650.jpgSurvival Guide (S)

Collect all Survive Badges

Get all 12 badges under the SURVIVE category.

Use a Rewinds a total of 10/30/100 times

Press and hold :l1: to rewind, do this 100 times for these badges.

Survive 2/3/5 runs in a Survive Event

Survive your first/2/4 runs with no rewinds

Survive your first/2/4 runs with no rewinds and no survival gear

Once you reach the bottom of the run in a survive event, you are transported back to the beginning, survive five of these runs and you will earn these badges. Pick the type of survival you are most comfortable with and go slowly and carefully. Avoid Survival events that require gear like Oxygen Tanks and Cold Panels, as failure is inevitable. I recommend Trees, especially The Rockies - Extinguisher Tower - Wrecking Crew(Survive It!), as trees are very easy to avoid if you keep a slow pace, even without the survival gear or rewind. Just remember that the more consecutive runs you do, the more damage you take from falls and crashes. Eventually any impact will kill you.

This guide has a ton of info and it's accurate. Instead of saying "Just survive it" or "Practice till you do it" you actually give tips and strategies for a lot of the trophies.

The formatting needs some attention, the roadmap should go before the trophy guide for example, but the info is all there and can become a quality guide.

Nice work.

@Gekodeko

You have your Road Map in completely the wrong place and is improperly set out, there are dead Image icons all over the place and the formatting of the guide as a whole isn't right.

These issues need to be addressed ASAP before it can be submitted.

I don't see what's so wrong about the Trophy Guide I've made. All the information is there, you just added unnecessary extra information which isn't really required.

No your guide is useless, you need way more information. You need more than Practise makes perfect etc. People want tips and easy ways of getting the trophy.

Thats way your guide is rated lower than this guide and don't bother admending your guide and copying this guide you have no intention of adding more information to your guide.

Also, I'm pretty outraged about the fact you simply copied and pasted my guide and add your own information and used it as a template. I can tell how the colour tags are inputted in odd positions and the text changes from black to grey at points and how the structure of the trophies are in the order I placed them in purposely to suit my roadmap.

Blackfalc0n, if you have any concerns regarding another guide, please contact a guide team member rather than posting in the guide itself. We also don't need people saying ____ guide is better than ____ guide. The GT doesn't look at posts like that when choosing which guide to sticky, and it just clutters up threads that should be used for adding info and improving the guide.

Now, is there any need for that type of talk? A guide is a guide and can be amended at any point. Amending a guide is not copying. Guides compete on PS3T often, and considering he wouldn't even have trophy pictures without copying the structure of my original guide I don't think I'm the one 'copying' anything here.

I guess you didn't realize you're missing a trophy. In a Trophy Guide.

They are not. I put them in the order I achieved them. I am also not happy that you are accusing me of plagiarizing your work. I saw your guide and it seemed to me you were not quite aware of what you were talking about, confusing peaks with ranges, etc. I simply thought I could do it better, so I made one.

No I'm not, and I'll believe that with all the corrupt links and mixed colour tags. I'm not saying you plagiarised my work, I'm just saying you could have added the pictures and descriptions yourself. Confusing peaks with ranges was a simple mistake.

You continue your guide, I continue my one. What ever happens, happens. I would like to collab, but I think it's pretty obvious you don't want to.

I've checked, I haven't missed any?

Ok, whatever you say. Leaving feedback for your guide in this one isn't the proper thing to do. So I'll just leave it alone.

Regarding this guide, now that the formatting has been overhauled I can't find any real problems.

Sure it could use some videos or some splashy titles to spruce it up but the info is there and now it's organized.

You should go here, http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/user-generated-content/94971-image-request-thread.html and see if one of the resident artists will make you a sweet SSX Trophy Guide Picture to put at the beginning of the guide.
