Malak101
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory HD Trophy Guide and Roadmap Overview -Estimated trophy difficulty: 7/10 -Offline: 37 ((B)21 ,(S)11 ,(G)4 , (P)1) -Online: 0 -Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 15-20 hours -Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 3 -Number of missable trophies: 3 – Makes you feel alive, Greater Good, Immune -Glitched trophies: None -Does Difficulty affect trophies: Yes – BlackOps Specialist, Makes you feel alive, Sentinel Welcome to the third installment of the Splinter Cell series HD. You will be required to do 3 playthroughs due to difficulty trophies not stacking. I recommend starting out on Normal so you can have a easier time learning the maps, enemy positions and going for all the misc trophies. If you want a guide to follow or something easy to reference when searching for trophy-related locations, I highly recommend this Walkthrough. Step 1 - Playthrough 1: Normal Difficulty For this playthrough you will want to get the following trophies: Greater Good, Immune & Sentinel. Step 2 - Playthrough 2 & 3: Hard/Expert Difficulty Depending on your choice you can either go straight onto Expert to get BlackOps Specialist or you can play Hard, but be warned the Makes you feel alive trophy can be very frustrating so I would leave it for last. Step 3 – Clean up Providing you have not started a new game, you can use mission select to go back and get any missing trophies (except difficulty trophies). Youtube videos in the guide below are my own so I hope they will be some help. Thanks for reading! Trophy Guide http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/865/01.jpghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_platinum.pngSplinter Cell Unlock all trophies This is your reward for obtaining all the other trophies. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/865/02.jpghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngBlackOps Specialist Complete the game in Expert difficulty Start a new game on Expert and complete it. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/865/03.jpghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngMakes you feel alive Complete the game in Hard difficulty without being killed more than 5 times When you die the game will save your death so reloading a earlier checkpoint won't work. At the start of each mission, save your game and copy your save over to a memory stick and if you die, you've got a backup in place. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/865/04.jpghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngGreater Good Achieve above 80% success rate in all missions. Refer to the road map for a walkthrough if you're struggling with any missions. Below are my top tips to help your score. After completing the game and receiving your final score, the trophy should unlock but I believe your final score has to be higher than 80%. Watch the training videos at the main menu (they really do help). At the start of each mission, pick the Stealth load out (or Redding's if you prefer flash bangs). Complete secondary objectives. Avoid being detected as an intruder and setting off alarms. Use to knock out guards and hide their bodies where no one will find them. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/865/05.jpghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngImmune Complete the game without using a medkit Playing on Normal will make this trophy very easy; simply complete the game without using any medkits. PKopetzky
You might want to add that sometimes mission trophies don't pop after you've finished the mission - weird glitch, but it's happened to me on the Cargo Ship mission already. The solution is to just load up the last save and finish the mission again.

That may off been a one time glitch, I personally have not come across this but if it becomes more widespread then I will add it to the guide. I will be adding the last 2 trophy images when they get uploaded to the site. Edited August 27, 2011 by Malak101

I'm starting out on normal and already completed the first mission twice and highest I've gotten is 75% (second time) which was an improvement over 58% first time as I didn't scan all the crates. You have to complete the secondary and optional objectives as well as not kill anyone (and not set off any alarms or be spotted, naturally) in order to get to 100%. I don't think you can get above 75% on the first mission if you don't scan every crate since there are only a few objectives. I used a walkthrough to make sure that I got every single objective. Well even scanning every crate, I got 75%. The reason for not getting 80+ must because I've killed people, or Morgenholt can be saved and I'm just not able to do it as I've been letting him get fried. No, saving Morgenholt isn't possible AFAIK. Killing enemies on the other hand will lower your score quite significantly.

What was your overall score? I'm guessing it has to be higher than 80% or the trophy might not unlock. Since the trophy is supposed to unlock after your final score is shown I'm also guessing using mission select should not matter. I've updated the Greater Good trophy description. SaberBlade
Great guide. Got platinum last night and followed the normal/80%/no medkit route like you suggested, followed by Expert then Hard/under 5 deaths. After my first play, I had all but two bronze (thermal sniping/shotgun) and the other two difficulties so I was able to blast through the rest of the trophies. If I had to make any suggestions, I'd add for 80% (or better) that you add avoiding all contact if you can. It took me to do the first mission three times before I realised that beating up everyone I came across didn't work that well. Works great on Expert or Hard, but not when you're looking to score high.

That's called ghosting, while its great for looking like a stealth pro it can hinder your progress through a mission if you're trying to avoid guards at all cost. As long as you knock them out from behind without being detected and hide there bodies then your score won't be effected. Sometimes knocking a guard from the front can count as being detected if they scream.

Sometimes knocking a guard from the front can count as being detected if they scream. I didn't find it hindering at all. The stupid thing is if you draw your gun, you can stand up and walk past guards at full speed without making a noise (making sure it's dark enough). Need to cross a room to access a computer, aim your gun. Want to sneak past someone, draw your gun. Want to follow someone, draw your gun. Even during missions when I had to back track, there 99% of the time you can easily avoid everyone you've left alive. I always found that missions where I could walk past everyone resulted in 90+ percent, but any time I had to stun to get past, I could drop to low 80s. Even then, I still had to replay two or three missions to better avoid even when I wasn't getting caught or bodies found. Slow may of been a better word in this case but how exactly do you "stun" guards? As far as i'm aware knocking guards out should not effect your score providing there bodies aren't found. Everything else on the stats screen has to be a zero though.
Aleff Correa
Just got platinum today The Makes you feel alive trophy was easier than I though, unlike the other two HD releases. It was pretty fun to get it, but I don't want to play Kokubo Sosho again, and don't even say the name Bathhouse in front of me again. Just did two complete playthroughs today (Makes you feel alive & Sentinel - last 2 trophies). I won't even touch the other two games, those pieces of s***, it's clear that the game which was better worked on was Chaos Theory, the others are just rushed ports. Good luck for everyone aiming for the trophy!
