Introduction:

Welcome to Soul Sacrifice! An action RPG developed by Keiji Inafune and his new company Comcept.

Trophy wise, the list is pretty straight forward. You'll be receiving most of the trophies just by playing and progressing through the game. While you can follow the roadmap step-by-step, feel free to mix it up a bit and play a few quests online if you get stuck in some parts of the story, or just want to play with others and get better gear.

There are 3 trophies that require you to play a total of 100 quests in multiplayer. All 3 can be earned offline via ad-hoc. You won't even need to play with other people or use another Vita as playing solo will count as well. That also means that no Online Pass is required! So, to those who wonder, yes, you can obtain the platinum twice if you can put your hands on a Japanese copy of the game. For more details, please see this thread by Trellgoth who confirmed it's possible!

As for the glitched trophy, fear not as there is a simple method to obtain it still. See From Cover to Cover(B) for more details.

Glossary:

Saving/Sacrificing:

Whenever you defeat an enemy, or when an alley falls, you have the power to either Save or Sacrifice them. Saving them will boost your Life level which increases your DEF and the amount of HP you can heal. Sacrificing them will boost your Magic level which increases your ATK.

But that is not all. During battle, saving enemies restores a portion of your HP, while sacrificing them renews your offerings. Saving allies drains half of your current HP but keeps you teammates alive to continue fighting, while sacrificing them casts a powerful spell, but at the cost of their lives.

Knowing when to save and when to sacrifice in battle could be the difference between life or death, literally.

Life and Soul Essence:

You receive Life Essence(LE) when you save enemies and allies, and you receive Soul Essence(SE) when you sacrifice them. They are used to equip sigils.

Every enemy and ally type (allies are categorized by their arm level) has its own Life and Soul essence, and you are always guaranteed to receive one. However, the rarity of the essence you get is completely random. There are 3 rarities:

LE/SE - common

LE+/SE+ - rare

LE++/SE++ - very rare

The only confirmed way to boost the chance of a rare essence drop is to use the Holy Supper Sigil(for LE) and the Devil's Feast Sigil(for SE). Other than that, the consensus is that stronger versions of enemies and high level allies have a better chance for a rare drop.

Sigils:

Sigils are basically your buffs. You may think of them as your equipment, if you want. You can carve (or "equip") up to 5 sigils on your arm: The Upper Arm sigils boost your element damage and/or resistance, the Forearm sigils boost your offerings, and the Palm sigil boosts your stats.

There are many sigils and they can are found automatically by completing quests, defeating bosses, levelling up, and obtaining/using offerings. However, in order to actually use them, you must collect a certain number of specific Life and/or Soul essences. The stronger the sigil is the more rare essences you will need.

Elements:

There are 5 elements in the game and each is weak to another: Heat< Frost< Volt< Stone< Venom< Heat (i.e Heat is weak to Frost, Frost is weak to Volt and so on).

Hit an enemy enough times with the same element attack, and you will inflict a status ailment on it which will lock it in place. Hit the enemy while in this state with the stronger element to do a Skilful attack - a critical hit that will deal massive damage - and stun the enemy for even longer.

Taking advantage of archfiend elemental weaknesses is key to defeating them.

List of archfiends sorted by weakness:

Weak to Heat:

Harpy

Elven Queen

Hydra

Weak To Frost:

Jack-o'-Lantern

Centaur

Phoenix

Werewolf

Weak to Stone:

Cerberus

Valkyrie

Weak to Volt:

Jack Frost

Minotaur(While she herself has no weakness, her axe is weak to Volt)

Unicorn

Kraken

Siren

Pegasus

Leviathan

Weak to Venom:

Gargoyle

No Weakness:

Aravicious Slime

Carnivorous Slime

Wyvern

Illecebra

Cyclops

Griffon

Lacrima:

Librom's tears. After completing a quest, you can back out to the menu and collect lacrima by wiping the tears from Librom's eyes. Lacrima is used to fix broken offerings and rites, de-level, and to undo certain actions in the main story. The harder the quest you complete, the more lacrima you will get.

Black Rite:

Black Rites are extremely powerful spells you can cast once per battle. However, they don't come cheap, and you must sacrifice a body part in order to do so. Once you've casted a Black Rite, you now must suffer a penalty until you repair it(outside of battle) using lacrima.

The Black Rites are:

  • Infernus - Offer you skin to unleash a powerful fire attack. Penalty: DEF stat is reduced by half.
  • Vulcan - Offer your heart to form magic swords which you allies can drow from your body. Penalty: Max health is reduced by half.
  • Excalibur - Offer your heart to unleash a powerful sword attack. Penalty: Your health is slowly draining.
  • Gleipnir - Offer you right arm to bind Archfiends. Penalty: lose the sigil buffs.
  • Gorgon - Offer your eye to fire magic missiles that petrify enemies. Penalty: impaired vision.
  • Berserker (DLC) - Offer your brain to unleash a powerful AoE attack that draws enemies in. Penalty: redacted info on equipped offerings.
  • Angelus (DLC) - Lets you pierce enemies and heal allies but at the cost of reduced speed and lower evasion chance.

To use a Black Rite you must equip it first. When your max HP drops below 20% in battle, a red flaming icon will appear at the bottom left corner of the screen. Simply press and hold it until your equipped Black Rite activates.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the story mode up to the big final boss fight

Play through and enjoy the story. Don't worry about the trophies as none are missable.

All chapters and battles can be replayed as many times as you like, so don't be afraid to sacrifice or save a boss as you see fit. You can also de-level and change your character build whenever you want(at the cost of lacrima), so you're truly free to play as you wish.

It is recommended you download patch 1.01 and the free DLC keys to receive the Berserker Black Rite. Doing so will make unlocking Last Resort, Secret Technique(B) easier as you will only need to raise either of your Life or Magic to level 40, instead of both.

At any point after completing the prologue, you can choose to fight The Final Boss by talking to Librom. Feel free to try. When (not if) you die, you can skip the credits and save your game safely. There is no penalty.

Step 2: Complete the side stories (Fellow Sorcerers)

There are 4 short side stories that unlock as you progress through the main story. You will earn a trophy upon completing each one. You will find them under Mad Chronicle -> Inside Avalon -> Fellow Sorcerers.

Please note that to access them all you will need to have your Life and/or Magic levels to be at least 15.

Step 3: Avalon Pacts, multiplayer and Magusar

There are a total of 10 Avalon pacts you need to complete for Commanding Awe(G). You do not need to complete any of the Forgotten Pacts for this trophy. Every Avalon pact consists of 7-14 quests and while every single one of them could be done offline, you will need to play a total of 100 quests online with other players or via ad-hoc to unlock The Path of Cooperation(B), What it Means to Fight Together(B) and Sorcerer with a Swift Arm(B).

Avalon Pacts I-V unlock as you progress through the story.

Avalon Pacts VI-vII unlock as you complete the side stories.

Avalon Pacts VIII-X unlock after you defeat Magusar.

After you complete pacts I-VII, and are around level 70+, you should be strong enough to defeat Magusar and unlock the rest of the pacts. In case you fail, try leveling up some more and/or farm better spells and sigils.

Step 4: Clean-up and grinding

At this point, you should have the majority of the trophies. All that is left is to get the few remaining combat-related and miscellaneous trophies, and most likely grind your Life or Magic level to 99.

Boss Tips and Strategies

Magusar tips and strategy:

[spoiler=fbf]To fight Magusar, speak to Librom. It is recommended not to fight him before you reach level 60-70(Life and Magic combined). So if you have finished all of the story chapters and still not there, you may want to start completing Avalon pacts to level up some more and get better offerings.

There are all kinds of strategies for this fight and while there are some variations, the basic one is the same no matter what is your build. With that being said, Dark Arm players may want to bring armor or an extra healing spell. Divine Arm players may want to bring less support and more damage dealing offerings. And Neutral Arm players, bring whatever suits your play-style.

Set up:

Magusar doesn't have an elemental weakness, so you should bring your strongest offerings. Make sure they have a decent amount of casts, because there isn't really a good way to renew them during the battle. For sigils, the Cause and Effect Sigil(upper arm) which boosts ATK and DEF against dragons is a must. As for the rest, equip the ones that boost your offerings and stats the most.

Recommended Offerings:

Armor - Highly recommended if your Life level is less than 25. Tier 3 will make this fight pretty easy.

Golem - Bring your most powerful summon offering. Make sure it has a decent amount of casts.

Weapon - Bring your strongest weapon. Make sure it does a decent amount of damage.

Eggs - Eggs can deal a lot of damage, have a high number of casts and let's face it, you probably have a ton of them.

Falcon Feather - Makes dodging easy and saves precious time closing in on your target.

Healing - Try to get Healing Seed (L) with at least 2 stars.

(Note: This isn't a full set-up recommendation, just a list of useful offerings you may want to bring to the battle)

The battle:

1st form:

When the battle starts, Magusar will be inside his magic shield bubble.

Run towards and attack him with your weapon offering until he teleports away.

Quickly run after him, and summon your golem when you reach him.

While your golem is being summoned, hit him some more with your weapon until his golems appear.

Run away as far as you can. You should be safe as long as you keep moving and avoiding his lightnings.

Eventually his golems will disappear, run to him again (his shield will be back up), summon your golem and hit him with your weapon.

Repeat until the cut-scene starts.

2nd form:

Your offerings will get refilled at the start of this part. Although it may seems scary, try to outflank and get under him. He can be quite tough to fight from long range but is surprisingly easy up close.

When you get under him, use your armor offering(if you equipped one) and start hitting his right leg(the bony one) with everything you got. When he is about to stomp you, simply roll away to dodge. Heal as necessary. After you deal enough damage to his leg, he will fall down for a few seconds, summon your golem and continue to attack him.

Occasionally he will fly away. Don't lose sight of him and dodge when he swoops down at you. If he lands on little floating platform, be careful as he will summon a few bombs and a fire golem or a time-slowing field. Try to stay away from the danger zone until they disappear. When he lands, continue to attack his leg. Eventually he will go down for good.

If you take to long too defeat him he will fly up to his platform and spit a creepy human-like figure which you can either save for a life refill of sacrifice for an offerings renewal.

Post-battle:

When you beat the dragon it will revert back to Magusar's original form. Either save or sacrifice him, the choice is all yours. Note there is a different ending for each. After the cutscenes the credits will roll. Do NOT skip them!. The trophy will pop right when they end.

If you saved Magusar you will receive the Sanguine Angelshot and Sanguine Demonshot if you sacrificed him.

You can fight him again as many times as you want.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/6D6.jpgCommanding Awe(G)

Completed all Avalon Pacts.

You will unlock this trophy after you complete all of the 10 Avalon pacts (the Forgotten pacts aren't needed).

Each Pact consists of 7-14 quests which are divided into 2 categories:

  • Extermination - the majority of the quests. Your goal is simply to exterminate the monsters.
  • Exploration - Your goal is to collect a certain number of Soul Shards that are scattered around the area. Press  to activate your Mind's Eye, locate a blue smoke, approach it and press and hold :cross: to pick the shard up.

There are also a few nameless, description-less quests where you will have to use your Mind's Eye to find scattered Memories within an area. These quests can only be done once and will be replaced by a different quest upon completion.

Some quests are linked together and won't unlock until you've completed the first in the chain. They are connected by arrows that usually split into 2 routes: Save and Sacrifice, meaning you will have to redo some quests and overwrite the outcome in order to unlock the other route (i.e if you saved the archfiend the first time, you must sacrifice it the second). Do note that by overwriting the outcome and unlocking the other route, the first one will get locked again so it's highly recommended to fully complete one route before moving on to the other.

Unfortunately, not everything is that easy and a few quests are linked to ones in previous pacts. They won't unlock until you save or sacrifice a specific archfiend, which is a bit problematic when the game doesn't tell you which. However, even if a quest is not available, you can still do it online with a host who does. Upon completion, the progress will be saved and you won't have to redo the quest if you don't want to. It will remain unlocked though.

Check the Co-op Partners Thread if you're looking for people to play with or to complete specific quests.

You will unlock this trophy once you've beaten 20 different (stronger versions don't count) archfiends. You will get this trophy naturally as you're fulfilling Avalon pacts. See Boss Tips and Strategies for boss tips and strategies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/462.jpgElementary Sorcerer(B)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/DA6.jpgTo be Known for Greatness(B)

Acquired 1000 Offerings.

Offerings are basically your spells. You get them as rewards for completing quests - single and multi player. The higher your rank is at the end, the more offerings you'll receive (up to 5). If you achieve the highest rank (Legendary Sorcerer), you will receive one extra offering. Breaking an archfiend's cursed points will also reward you with even more offerings - one for each.

Martyr's Rewards - powerful offerings you can only receive if you have sacrificed something valuable during the battle. To receive a Martyr's reward you must either:

- Use a black Rite

- Sacrifice another player

- Get Sacrificed by another player

You can only receive one Martyr's reward per battle

You will unlock this trophy naturally as you are fulfilling Avalon pacts.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/439.jpgCaring for your Wares(B)

Repaired 50 Offerings.

While in battle, every offering has a limit number of casts. If you go over that limit, the offering breaks and you will be required to repair it to use it again. To repair, go to the Select Offering page, select the broken offering and press :triangle:. Do this 50 more times and the trophy is yours.

It is more than likely that you will naturally unlock this trophy while fulfilling the Avalon pacts so unless you wish to get this trophy very early on, don't go break your offerings on purpose.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/F65.jpgHumble Beginnings(B)

Acquired one select-able raiment.

See "Stylish Sorcerer".

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/235.jpgStylish Sorcerer(B)

Out of those 108 (135 with the DLC) raiments, you will need to acquire 60 for this trophy. You unlock the "basic" colors by progressing through the main story, completing the side-stories and by fulfilling Avalon and Forgotten pacts. You will get this trophy naturally as you advance through the game.

Costume List (and how to unlock the first color of each set):

Noble - You start the game with it

Intellectual - You start the game with it

Sand Dweller - You start the game with it

Learned a new Black Rite.

See "Last Resort, Secret Technique".

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/CF9.jpgLast Resort, Secret Technique(B)

Learned 5 Black Rites.

There are a total of 7 (2 being free DLCs) Black Rites in the game and in order to unlock this trophy you must learn 5. This is how:

  • Infernus - You can use it right from the start of the game
  • Gleipnir - You learn this Rite when you reach Magic level 20
  • Excalibur - You learn this Rite when you reach Magic level 40
  • Gorgon - You learn this Rite when you reach Life level 20
  • Vulcan - You learn this Rite when you reach Life level 40
  • Berserker (DLC)
  • Angelus (DLC)

If you don't have access to the DLCs then you might want to work on this trophy right from the start of the game, as you will need to raise both of your Life and Magic levels to 40 each. Doing so right from the get-go will prevent unnecessary de-leveling and grinding later on. For a quick XP farming method see "Thy Strength Runneth Over".

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/0F3.jpgThoughts Flow in the Arm(B)

Acquired 100 soul/life essences.

See Emotions Swirl in the Arm.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/F8B.jpgEmotions Swirl in the Arm(B)

Acquired 1000 soul/life essences.

Whenever you beat an enemy or when an alley falls, you have the power to either Save or Sacrifice them. Saving them will give you their Life Essence and Sacrificing them will give you their Soul Essence. So it's simple, save/sacrifice a total of 1000 enemies and allies. You will unlock this trophy naturally as you are fulfilling Avalon pacts.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/AEB.jpgElementary Offering Fusing(B)

Fused Offerings.

See "To be a Better Sorcerer".

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/441.jpgTo be a Better Sorcerer(B)

Acquired 50 Offerings by fusing.

You can fuse offerings together to create new powerful offerings which may not be easy to obtain or even available until later parts of the game. Not to be confused with boosting, in order to fuse Offerings, you press :vital: in the Select Offerings page and choose the one you want from the list. The list grows as you progress through the game and acquire new offerings. You will need to fuse a total of 50 in order to unlock the trophy. They don't have to be different.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/055.jpgWithout a Scratch(B)

Earn the "Unscathed Kill" award in an Avalon pact.

To unlock this trophy, you must defeat an archfiend in an Avalon pact offline without getting hit. It is recommended not to try it early on as it will be that much easier to accomplish once you are strong enough. You can bring NPC's to help you, however the more allies you bring, the more health the archfiend will have. Take it into consideration.

For this trophy, Avalon Pact I. Innocence - Desert Drag is probably the easiest quest. You will fight the Centaur which is weak to Frost.

  • Equip a few Icetree Roots(Tri), regular Icetree Roots, and at least 1 Volt element offering.
  • Equip the Freeze Amp, Frost Surge, Homing Magic Amp and/or every other attack/frost buff Sigil that fits your set up.
  • As the quest starts, quickly run forward towards the archfiend.
  • While he transforms, fully charge your Icetree Root(Tri) and unleash it on the boss. Continue to attack him quickly until he freezes.
  • Once he does, use your volt element to chain attack and stun him for even longer.
  • While he is stunned, check your surrounding for any goblins that may pose a threat and if the cost is clear charge your Icetree Root(Tri) and do it all over again until he is defeated.
  • Save him, sacrifice him, it doesn't matter. You will unlock the trophy once you complete the quest.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/09F.jpgBoundless Strength(S)

Score 450 points or more in one pact.

450 points might seem impossible at the beginning, but it's really easy to pull-off in later parts of the game. Chances are you will be achieving it many times while playing through the game without even paying any special attention to it.

Actions you preform during a battle, along with all kinds of performance bonuses are what make up you score at the end. Some of them are:

http://i.imgur.com/pf5Dmuw.jpg

As you can see, not getting hit at all rewards you with 150 points, and should be your first priority. Finishing the quest fast will net you another 100 points and should be your second priority. Landing your first strike and the sacrificing/saving of the archfiends are pretty much impossible to not-do and you're already at 300. Now it's just a matter of taking advantage of the enemies' vulnerabilities and destroying cursed parts. It really sounds more complicated than it actually is.

This trophy can be unlocked while playing through any quest whether it's a story or an Avalon quest, online or offline, solo or with other NPC's/players.

For a step-by-step guide for an easy way to achieve this, please check the XP farming method in "Thy Strength Runneth Over" details.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/9DC.jpgBoil, Torch, and Torment(B)

Inflict 5 ailments on an archfiend.

Once you hit an enemy enough times with the same type of element, you will inflict a status ailment on it which will leave it stunned and open for a few free attacks.

For this trophy you will need to inflict 5 ailments on a single archfiend. Luckily for us, they don't have to be different and you can actually inflict the same one five times. A recommended offering to use would be any of the Root (Tri) offerings. A fully charged attacked followed quickly by another 4-5 normal ones should easily stun most archfiends.

It doesn't matter which archfiend you choose, the basic strategy is the same:

  • Equip a sigil that boosts your ailment status inflicting chance(e.g Burn Amp, Freeze Amp, etc.).
  • Equip the offerings with the element you are buffing. Root(Tri)'s and Throw-type offerings are highly recommended.
  • Pick a quest with a single archfiend. Preferably someone slow and big(e.g Hydra or Cyclops).
  • Quickly shoot/cast/throw whatever you have on the archfiend until you have inflicted an ailment.
  • While the archfiend is stunned do not continue to attack it. Instead, try to find smaller enemies you can sacrifice to renew your offerings.
  • Repeat the last 2 steps when the enemy recovers.
  • You will unlock the trophy as soon as you inflict the 5th ailment. You don't have to finish the quest.

One thing to be mindful of is the archfiend's HP. If you accidentally kill it before you get the trophy, you must either fight a stronger version of it in a different quest or reduce your attack stat with sigils.

Another good method to obtain this trophy is to use Hourglasses. They are Irregular-type offerings that instantly inflict status ailments on both you and your enemy. To obtain Hourglass ( S ) you will need to fuse:

1 Timesand - Can be obtained in the story quest Several Years Later Ch .5.

1 Swamp Muck ( S ) - Can be obtained in quest #1 in Avalon pact III. Reparation - Combing the Pasture.

1 Slime Ooze ( S ) - Can be obtained by breaking Slimes' cursed parts. Story quest Several Years Later Ch .2 is a good place to farm those.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/1EA.jpgLight-footed Sorcerer(S)

Killed archfiend in single player mode with 1 Offering.

To unlock this trophy you must defeat an archfiend in a story chapter with only 1 offering equipped(the other 5 slots have to be empty). It is recommended you will attempt this after you've leveled up enough and acquired, at the very least, mid-tier offerings.

The weakest archfiend in the story is Jack-o'-Lantern in Sorcerer's Ordeal Ch. 3. He is weak to Frost:

  • Un-equip all of your offerings by either selecting them and double tapping :square: or by dragging and dropping using the touch screen.
  • Now equip a single Frost offering. Preferably one with stars. Icetree Root and Glaciertree Root are highly recommended as they do decent damage and they have a high amount of casts.
  • Equip every Frost buffing sigil you have.
  • Start the quest and run towards the boss.
  • Attack it. Make sure not to miss. He should go down pretty quickly.
  • If your offering is about to run out, you will be able to find 4 offering renewal spots around the area. Don't waste casts on the goblins.
  • The trophy should unlock as you complete the quest.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/8F4.jpgSpinner of Legends(S)

Achieve the rank of “Legendary Sorcerer” 50 times.

The Legendary Sorcerer rank is the highest rank you can achieve in a quest, and to unlock this trophy you must achieve it 50 times. While there are a few exceptions, to achieve Legendary Sorcerer in archfiend's quests you will need to score over 400 points and over 300 in quests with regular monsters. Every story and side-story chapters, Avalon and Forgotten pact quests count. You can even replay the same quest 50 times if you want.

You will undoubtedly unlock this trophy naturally as you progress through the game.

For info and tips on how to achieve higher ranks see "Boundless Strength".

Relived a pact in multiplayer.

See "Sorcerer with a Swift Arm".

Relived 20 pacts in multiplayer.

See "Sorcerer with a Swift Arm".

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/922.jpgSorcerer with a Swift Arm(B)

Relived 100 pacts in multiplayer.

You can complete Avalon pacts online with up to 3 other players. For how to unlock Avalon Pacts see "Commanding Awe".

Go to the Menu -> Network -> Multiplayer - > Play Online. Create/search a room or quick join a game, you must complete 100 pacts with other players to unlock the trophy. They don't have to be 100 different ones, you can even play the same quest 100 times.

Alternatively, you can use ad-hoc and play 100 quests through that. You don't need to have other people playing with you as playing solo will count as well. No other Vita is required. Thanks to Trellgoth for this tip!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/D23.jpgMagical Milestones(B)

Visited many places on pacts.

The trophy will unlock once you've been in every area in the game. All areas are available in Avalon pacts except for one: Valhalla Abbey Cloisters. This area can only be found in the Forgotten Pacts.

Dance of the Swift Maiden, quest #4 in the Hour of Auburn is the easiest quest that takes place in this location.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/313.jpgTaboos should be Challenged(B)

Used a Black Rite.

Black Rites are very powerful spells you can preform once per battle. To use a Black Rite, you must equip it first. When your max HP drops below 20% in battle (either by getting hit a lot, excessive use of blood magic or sigils; doesn't matter how), a red flaming icon will appear at the bottom left corner of the screen. Simply touch and hold it until it activates.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/D23.jpgI Decide Who Lives and Who Dies(B)

Life level or magic level reached 20.

See "Thy Strength Runneth Over"

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/D75.jpgThy Strength Runneth Over(S)

Life level or magic level reached 99.

To unlock this trophy you must max out your Life level or your Magic level. Unless you exclusively saved or sacrificed from the very beginning you will probably need to de-level.

To de-level go to Portraiture -> Right Arm -> Rewrite Lv. Every level you lower, Life or Magic, will cost 20 lacrima and will be lost. It's recommended not to de-level all at once as you could use the extra DEF or ATK while grinding.

A good quest to farm XP in is The Memories Remain Ch. 6 in the Magusar part of the story. You will fight the hydra which is weak to Heat:

  • Equip your most powerful heat offering. Root(Tri) and Flamefiend Blood(fire golem) are highly recommended. Equip one Frost spell as well.
  • Start the quest and run left towards the boss.
  • While he transforms, summon your golem or charge your Root(Tri).
  • Unleash every heat offering you have on him. Once you inflict Infernal Hell, hit him with your Frost offering to stun him even more.
  • Repeat the last step until he's defeated.
  • By now, 2 Orcs and 3 Birds should gather around you. Quickly kill them as well.
  • Save or Sacrifice everything and you should receive around 120XP per run which shouldn't take more than 2 minutes.

Note: This is also a quick, almost guaranteed way to get Boundless Strength(S). As long as you don't get hit and use a heat attack on the poison Orcs(their vulnerability), you should easily score more than 450 points.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/4C0.jpgMore Power, More Courage(B)(H)

Held 30 of one Offering.

All you need to do for this trophy is wait until you have stacked 30 of the same offering. There is no doubt you will get it naturally as you progress through the game but if you wish to get it as early as possible just redo the first story chapter - Sorcerer's Ordeal Ch. 1 - about 15 times. Obviously, don't fuse or boost the offering you are trying to stack until it you have accumulated 30.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/CCE.jpgSorrow of Solitude (B)(H)

Teased Librom in 3 different ways.

While in the cage press :cross: to bring up the menu. Simply tap Librom with your finger to make him fall backwards. Listen to his amusing rant and tap him again, but this time from behind using the rear touch pad. Once more let him finish complaining and swiftly move your finger from one side of the screen to the other in order to make him spin and unlock the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/830.jpgFrom Cover to Cover(B)(H)

Opened all pages of Librom.

You can unlock this trophy early on as viewing blank pages counts as well.

After you complete Sorcerer's Ordeal, you will be able to flip pages freely in the book. Go the beginning of it(the Contents page) and push the right analogue stick to the left to start flipping the pages. Simply hold it there until you reach the end. It will take a while.

Now go back to the menu and go to Network -> Peddler -> Leave Gift, Claim gift and Hear Whispers.

Back out and go to Network -> Multiplayer - > Sorcerer's Stats, Ad Hoc Play and Play Online.

That's it. The trophy should pop.

Glitch: Some people(including myself) have had trouble unlocking this trophy. If you followed the instructions above and still did not receive the trophy, simply start a new game and try it again. Note that you will need to finish Sorcerer's Ordeal before you'd be able to(If you've played and completed the demo you can load the save file and skip this part).

Thanks to BlackGhostrider for the work-around!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/808.jpgPure and Straight(B)(H)

Started pact with 6 identical Offerings.

Very simple. Wait until you have stacked at least 6 of an offering and just equip one to every slot. Start an Avalon pact and you will unlock the trophy right as it begins. You don't have to finish it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/B21.jpgUse What You Can(B)(H)

Unleashed 4 spells with no offerings equipped in one pact.

To unlock this trophy you will have to cast all of the following spells during one quest while having all of your offerings slots empty:

  • Create weapon/shield/armour
  • Renew offering
  • Sacrifice an ally or be sacrificed
  • Activate Black Rite

Once you preform the 4th spell the trophy will unlock. You don't have to finish the quest.

You can easily boost this trophy online or if you want or you can do it solo. Here's a step-by-step guide to how I did it:

  • Un-equip all of your offerings by either selecting them and double tapping :square: or dragging and dropping using the touch screen.
  • Select quest #4 in Avalon pact VIII.Remorse - Desert Hydration.
  • Bring an NPC with you, one with a high dark arm level - they have the least health. I used a Dark Arm IV.
  • Activate your Mind's Eye when the quest and run forward to the path on the right.
  • You should see a white glow behind 2 rocks. Get close and create the Stone Axe.
  • Now go back towards the boss. Before you reach it you should see an open chest. Get near it and "renew your offerings".
  • Go "awake" the boss. Keep your distance and let your alley fight him. He/she should die very quickly.
  • Lure the boss away from your alley's body and quickly run to it and sacrifice.
  • Now for the tricky part, get yourself hit and take damage until you can activate your Black Rite. Be careful not to die.

Feel free to pick an easier quest if you want. As long as you use the same basic strategy you will unlock the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/FD2.jpgThe Offering Offers Power(B)(H)

Used a Chest of Fortune in pact.

Chest of Fortune is a unique offering that randomly refills one of your other spells upon use during battle. They can obtained by completing the special memory-collecting quests in Avalon pacts or by achieving Legendary Sorcerer rank in the following main story quests:

Destinies Past Ch. 3

Fading Humanity Ch. 3

Beginning of the End Ch. 2

Only Memories Remain Ch. 5

Once you have received this offering, equip it and start any quest. Use it like you use any other offering and the trophy is yours. You don't have to finish the quest.

thx for the guide

too bad I get the cover to cover glitch too

anyway as for does it need to be 50 different offering ? & what if I already have them will it still count ?

No, it doesnt need 2 b different. They can all b the same. U can fuse the same ones as long as u the offerings needed 2 fuse them. As 4 having them no, those wont count. It will only count the ones u got from the fusion.

Great that you dared to make the guide!

Just one thing I saw when quickly scanning the guide:

Illecebra does have a weakness, in fact she has 3: stone, ice and volt, depending on her attack element

/edit: another thing:

Chests of fortune are rewarded in some pacts (other than the memory ones) so they aren't limited.

I want to say no, but I'm not 100% sure of it(haven't really payed attention when my trophy popped >.>). I'm still trying to confirm it.

Illecebra cycles through all 5 elements I believe, meaning she is weak to all of them at some points but is also strong at others. See where I'm getting at? It kinda balances out.

Perosnally, I find it less effective and even more dangerous at times trying to match elements against her mid battle. I think it's better to stick to 1 or 2 elements - your strongest - and just avoid attacking her while she is strong against them.

As for the chests, any chance you remember where to get them other than those memories-collecting quests? And thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for the guide, some info will be handfull after I finish story mode.

One thing to note is while you mentioned that some mix of save/sacrifice is needed in certain avalon pacts to open different pacts, you may aswell describe which ones exactly, to be complete.

For Boil, Torch, and Torment: You should mention the Hourglasses. They inflict you and an enemy in front of you with an ailment. By the time I did a LOT in the game, I was able to make at least two of them. Each had two uses, so I used my frost sigils and some frost offerings to freeze Jack-O-Lantern. Then used my hourglasses up.

Super easy. So, it could be worth just waiting until you do a lot of the rest of the trophies and seeing if you can Fuse some hourglasses.

It doesn't matter if they're the same. I just went through the list doing as many as possible until it popped. Then closed out of my game to avoid saving, since I didn't want some of the fused spells I had done. :p Also failed the first time going through fusing as much as possible too, since I didn't have enough to work with.

As for Illecebra, I'd have to agree, but for me personally knowing the weakness is also important for getting a legendary award more easily.

As for the chests of fortune, according to this link, they can be found at:

Destinies Past #3

Fading Humanity #3

Beginning of the End #2

Only Memories Remain #5

All of which require a legendary ranking.

Yes, it's on the to-add list. But it might be a while before a full list will be available.

Thanks for the tip. Will add.

quick question, does what i do in Multiplayer affect single player. I use black rite in multiplayer but will the affects carry to single player?,

Everything you do/collect in sp carries over to mp and vice versa.

Also should we be worried about item collection? I just want to play around fusing stuff but I'm not sure If it'd be wise,

The rewards and the offerings bosses drop are fixed. It's all a matter of farming the right quest and how much time are you willing to spend on it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1538/FD2.jpgThe Offering Offers Power(B)

Used a Chest of Fortune in pact.

Chest of Fortune is a unique offering that randomly refills one of your other spells upon use during battle. They can obtained by completing the special memory-collecting quests in Avalon pacts or by achieving First-rate Sorcerer(Legendary Sorcerer in the NA version of the game) rank in the following main story quests:

Destinies Past Ch. 3

Fading Humanity Ch. 3

Beginning of the End Ch. 2

Only Memories Remain Ch. 5

Once you have received this offering, equip it and start any quest. Use it like you use any other offering and the trophy is yours. You don't have to finish the quest.

One more thing :p

The best rank in the US is Divine, it requires Legendary for the rest of the world.

True, but in order to get the item you can achieve one rank below the highest: First-rate for EU, Legendary for NA.

That's incorrect I'm afraid.

Order goes as follows:

Legendary Sorcerer - All 3 offerings (5 total)

First-rate Sorcerer - All of the first 2 offerings (4 total)

Second-rate Sorcerer - All of the 1st offering and 1 of the 2nd offering (3 total)

Third-rate Sorcerer - All of the 1st offering (2 total)

Sorcerer in Training - one of the 1st offering (1 total)

This is besides the bonus offerings collected from broken cursed parts and black rites/sacrificed allies.
