Introduction

Welcome to Sonic Generations the second Trophy Supported Sonic game on the PS3. Sonic Generations brings us the best of both worlds as you play as both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic playing each stage through both of their perspectives in fan favorite stages and newer stages that some old school fans may have never encountered before. The story starts with a celebration for Modern Sonic when suddenly an unknown monster comes in and takes all of his friends, Modern Sonic follows it leading him into a weird world that looks like a blank white void where time is being disrupted, later along the lines Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic meet and join together to defeat this new unknown enemy as well as other enemies from their past times.

Trophy-wise this game can be regarded as an easy (P) especially with Omochao holding your hand the entire game however it may take a bit of time as you have to collect Red Star Rings in each stage and get an S-Rank in all of the stages, despite being a Sonic Veteran there will sure be some stages that will have unknown layouts which you won't obtain an S-Rank on the first go and will have to return to it at a later time. Finally the only trophy to give the game any sort of difficulty is Can't Touch This which involves you not taking any damage at all in the long final boss fight. Following the steps below you should easily obtain your (P) in no time !

Glitched Eradicator Trophy Information:

Eradicator is the trophy for defeating 100 enemies, this trophy is one of the easiest trophies in game and should be unlocked near the beginning of the game however some players have reported that this trophy has glitched on them and will not unlock. If that is the case for you you will have to go into your Saved Game Utility in the XMB Menu and highlight SONIC GENERATIONS and press :triangle: and from there select delete to get rid of your save which already has over 100 enemies killed and the patch. I would advise doing this fix after you have already completed everything so you do not have to redo anything. After that is been done disconnect from PSN and play the game offline (to be safe) until you obtain your trophy.

During story mode you will strictly be rushing through the main story of the game which shouldn't take too much time at all. It would be advised to try to finish each stage in a timely matter and avoid dying to knock out as many S Ranks as you can right away so you can focus purely on Red Star Rings in a later step. How the story mode works is when presented with a white colored out stage you must clear it on Act 1 and Act 2, Act 1 representing Classic Sonic and Act 2 representing Modern Sonic. After you complete each stage with both Sonics your friends frozen in time in front of the stage will be freed and you will be able to proceed to the next stage. In the game the stages are divided by Eras, each era holds three stages after you complete the three stages in one of the eras with both Sonics Challenge Acts will appear on the map and you will have to complete at least from each stage (as either Sonic) before you can proceed to the boss fight and the next era. After completing the three stages in each era you will also have Rival Battles unlock with each Hedgehog of each era which must be defeated to proceed to the final boss fight at the end. For this portion of the game you should unlock the following trophies:

(B) The Opening Act

(B) GREEN HILL Restored!

(B) CHEMICAL PLANT Restored!

(B) SKY SANCTUARY Restored!

(B) SPEED HIGHWAY Restored!

(B) CITY ESCAPE Restored!

(B) SEASIDE HILL Restored!

(B) CRISIS CITY Restored!

(B) ROOFTOP RUN Restored!

(B) PLANET WISP Restored!

(B) Sunny Side Up

(B) Perfect Punisher

(B) Boom Boom Dragoon

(B) Scrap Metal

(B) Shadow Boxing

(B) Silver Got Served

(B) Treasure Hunter

(S) All Stages Cleared

Also during this step you should unlock the following trophies easy without even thinking about it:

(B) Eradicator

(B) Action Hero

http://i.imgur.com/B8I0R8f.png

Now that you have cleared all of the Stages you should have all of the Challenge Acts available to select now. It would be very recommended to complete them all right now so you can unlock some skills that will make getting S-Ranks and obtaining hard to reach Red Star Rings easier, skills such as:

Classic Sonic

  • Flame Shield
  • Aqua Shield
  • Thunder Shield

Modern Sonic

  • Smasher Bonus
  • Ring Energy Bonus
  • Auto-Gauge

And much more, not to mention you'll have the skill for Super Sonic as well for Red Star Rings that might be difficulty to obtain due to enemies or nasty obstacles that would take patience and focus with otherwise. During this step you should unlock the following trophies:

(B) Bonds of Friendship

(S) Halfway Point

(S) Mission Accomplished!

Now that you have completed all of the Challenge Acts and have obtained better skills for your Sonics go ahead and equip them through the Skill Shop menu or through the pre-stage selection menu with :square:, remember after setting your skills hit :start: to confirm them and then select the skill slot and Equip it to make sure the skills are active. Good recommended skills to have for your Sonics would be:

Classic Sonic:

  • Thunder Shield
  • Athleticism
  • Power Brakes

Thunder Shield lets you double jump which lets you reach higher areas that bound jumping with the Aqua Shield or Air Dashing with the Flame Shield wouldn't be able to do. Athleticism makes it so you lose less speed when going uphill or in the water and Power Brakes lets you stop instantly no matter how fast you're going, this will help if you're about to far to your death which can ruin S-Rank for the stage.

Modern Sonic:

  • Athleticism
  • Power Brakes
  • Speed Up
  • Acceleration
  • Smasher Bonus

Just like Classic Sonic Athleticism and Power Brakes hold the same properties, Speed Up and Acceleration sound just as they are they speed up Sonic... Speed Up speeds up his running overall and Acceleration speeds up Sonic when he starts to run and you won't have to worry about running off any unnecessary ledges due to Power Brakes. Smasher Bonus fills up your Boost Gauge for each destroyed object and enemy allowing you to cover more ground through stages added to the other speed boost. While these are good skills don't think they are the best, use whatever suits you best or whatever you prefer personally.

This step will be a bit tedious as you'll have to check back on the Red Star Ring Locations back and forth and matching them on your screen. If you were having trouble with the S-Rank for the stage use the time you are using searching for the Red Star Rings to give you a better understanding of the layout of the stage including shortcuts and faster routes and where you could and could not possibly die. When all is said and done you should also have all your collectibles unlocked as well. During this step you will be unlocking the following trophies:

(B) Bright Star

(B) Shooting Star

(S) Blazing Meteor

(S) Blue Comet

(G) Big Bang

(G) (Hedge)Hogging It All Up!

(S) Red Ring Collector

(B) Jump for Joy!

(B) The Byway or the Highway

(B) Secret Sleuth

(B) A Quick Breather

(B) Color Power!

http://i.imgur.com/7OSu5yP.png

During this step you'll be cleaning up any leftover trophies you might have missed during the previous steps, some of them shouldn't be that hard to miss like doing a 7 trick combo or clearing a stage without dropping a ring however some of these misc. trophies such as clearing "Sky Sanctuary" without dying might not have crossed ones mind or forgetting to talk to all of Sonics friends after saving them or purchasing the rest of the skills from the shop. In any case here is a list of all the trophies you can unlock during your Single Player cleanup:

(B) Greased Lightning

(B) Trickstar

(B) Ring King

(B) Walkie Talkie

(S) Can't Touch This

(B) Walk on Water

(B) Walk on Air

(B) Demolition Derby

(B) Look Both Ways

(S) Supersonic!

(S) Mad Skillz

http://i.imgur.com/cDKcFNy.png

Finally there are 3 trophies you need to quickly obtain in Online Mode. There is nothing difficult you only need to clear all the stages again from Story Mode and after completing the game they should all be selectable for you now. Then there is a mode for simply playing 30 seconds of any 1 level. During this step you will be unlocking the following trophies:

(B) Join the Ranks

(B) A 30-Second Test

(S) Time Attacker

Note: Currently the Online Mode is buggy for a majority of the users on PSN and the only known solution is to delete your entire friends list to get into the Online Modes for your trophies. Please refer to this thread for more information.

Conclusion

Sonic Generations is by far the best Sonic game to come out to the new generation consoles pleasing its fan base with the type of Sonic game they wanted as well as throwing in fan favorite nostalgic levels, despite the game being aimed at a younger audience the game was still overall enjoyable. The (P) is definitely an easy one and can be a fast one too depending on how well you can rush through it all.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/01.jpgAll Trophies Collected! (P)

Collect all Trophies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/02.jpgThe Opening Act (B)

Race through the first stage.

The first stage in the story mode of the game will be Greenhill as Classic Sonic, after completing it you should unlock this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/19.jpgAll Stages Cleared! (S)

Clear Sonic Generations.

This trophy will be rewarded once you complete the game and defeat the final boss, Time Eater. The stages are divided by the Eras in which each stage came from and its system. The following Eras are:

  1. Classic Era
  2. Dreamcast Era
  3. Modern Era

In each Era there will be 3 stages, one from 3 different games of those Eras. Here is the list of each level and what game they came from:

Classic Era:

  • Greenhill (Sonic The Hedgehog)
  • Chemical Plant (Sonic The Hedgehog 2)
  • Sky Sanctuary (Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles)

Dreamcast Era:

  • Speed Highway (Sonic Adventure)
  • City Escape (Sonic Adventure 2)
  • Seaside Hill (Sonic Heroes)

Modern Era:

  • Crisis City (Sonic the Hedgehog (2006))
  • Rooftop Run (Sonic Unleashed)
  • Planet Wisp (Sonic Colors)

Here is how story progress will work. Once you complete a stage with Classic and Modern Sonic the next stage of the Era will unlock, after you have completed all the stages of an Era the challenge acts and rival battle will unlock. To proceed to the next era you must clear the Boss Battle of the current Era you are in however the gate to the boss battle is locked so you will have to complete at least 1 Challenge Act from each Stage to unlock the keys to play the boss battle and then you can proceed, you can do the Rival battle whenever you want however it would be advised that you clear it now. Each boss battle and rival battle will give you a Chaos Emerald needed to unlock the gate to the final boss at the end.

For tips on how to defeat the final boss, Time Eater, please refer to Can't Touch This

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/20.jpgGreased Lightning (B)

Clear GREEN HILL Act 1 within one minute.

It wouldn't be a Sonic Trophy List without the traditional "Clear GREEN HILL within one minute". There are multiple routes in doing this however here is a good recommended route step by step:

  1. At the start of the stage hold :square: and spin dash forward, once you land move forward and you'll encounter two crabs and a bee... spin jump and hit the Bee and bounce yourself to the surface above him.
  2. Spin Dash and proceed forward, once you hit your first checkpoint jump immediately and you'll be led into a secret path, here get ready to jump twice and stop at a solid platform
  3. Once you stop Spin Dash forward, you will land onto a crumbling green surface, continue to run you will have jump to another collapsing green surface and then on top the yellow spring.
  4. Once you land spin dash forward and you end up going up three red springs, after the third of the three red springs aim yourself so that you land on the rock platform in the middle, here you want to spin jump on the enemy bee and on the red spring to the surface above.
  5. Finally charge and spin dash and once you let go and launch yourself quickly jump so that you don't fall to the area below, if done correctly you should be running straight for the goal.

Please refer to Big Bang for more information.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/24.jpgBlue Comet (S)

Get Rank S in twelve Acts.

Please refer to Big Bang for more information.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/25.jpgBig Bang (G)

Get Rank S in all Acts.

For this trophy you only need to obtain in S-Rank in all of the main acts of story mode which means you do not have to S-Rank Challenge Acts or Boss/Rival Battles making this intimidating task even easier. Getting S-Rank in this Sonic Game is much easier than other games, what factors into your ranking is:

  • Stage Completion Time
  • Total Rings when you finish

To get an S-Rank you must obtain an A-Rank with a Perfect Stage Bonus which means you also cannot die during the stage. Stage Completion Time holds a much larger factor when getting an A-Rank but don't think that means you can't think of the amount of rings you have either, every bit helps. A good estimate for your A-Rank would be around 50,000 on your score and then if you got the Perfect Stage Bonus it'll bump you up to the S-Rank. If you had trouble obtaining S-Rank during first playing consider waiting to try again when you obtain the skills noted in the roadmap as they will make running through the stages much easier.

When re-selecting previously played stages to replay for your S-Rank keep in mind you don't have to run across the map, you can select any stage and then hit :r1: or :l1: to shift stages and :triangle: to switch between Sonics.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/26.jpgTrickstar (B)

Pull off a seven or more trick combo or six trick combo ending in a finishing trick.

To perform a trick combo you must launch yourself through a rainbow loop and hit the :ls: up, down, left or right as fast as you can. The earliest you can do this is in GREEN HILL Act 2 before and after you go into the cave. After you have performed your trick combo the trophy will unlock.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LcDxbxjEwg&quot]Trickster Trophy[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/27.jpgEradicator (B)

Defeat 100 enemies.

This trophy will unlock naturally as you play, the most common way of defeating an enemy is with a Spin Jump (:cross:) with Classic Sonic, keep in mind with the Spin Jump you can jump right beneath them and it will still kill them, or through Homing Shots (:cross: > :cross:) with Modern Sonic, a homing shot is when you jump with Modern Sonic and then hit :cross: while jumping when a green lock on symbol appears on any enemy... you can chain these homing shots off nearby enemies as well.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/28.jpgRing King (B)

Reach the goal without dropping any of the rings you collected in GREEN HILL Act 1.

For this trophy you basically cannot get hit throughout one runthrough of GREEN HILL Act 1. This trophy should unlock naturally when going for Greased Lightning since you need to clear the stage almost flawlessly when doing it, otherwise you could always walk through the stage slowly and patiently.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/29.jpgAction Hero (B)

Perform all of Sonic's moves in Act 2.

Unlike Classic Sonic, Modern Sonic has a variety of moves he can use at this disposal. You don't need to wait to "learn" these moves from Omochao as you progress through the story you only need to find the correct areas where you can actually use these moves, the moves are as follow:

  • Slide (:circle: when approaching a small pathway)
  • Drift (:l2: or :r2: when running through tight turns such as the ones in Speedway Highway)
  • Lightspeed Air Dash (:triangle: in front of a line of glowing rings)
  • Wall Jump (:cross: on a Wall Jump Panel)
  • Stomp (:circle: while jumping)

You don't need to perform all these moves all in one stage you can do them over the course of other stages. The earliest you can get this trophy is Speed Highway Act 2 because there is a Wall Jump Panel somewhere in Greenhill Act 2 however if you missed that panel then just wait until Seaside Hill Act 2.

For this trophy you must be connected to PSN. You must clear one stage in Ranking Attack, once you have completed it and your score is updated online the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/34.jpgA 30-Second Test (B)

Participate in a 30 Second Trial.

Get all collectibles.

For this trophy you must complete the viewable gallery to the left most part of the map, the gallery consist of:

  • Character Profiles
  • Music
  • Art
  • Movies

Everything will be unlocked as you are gradually completing other trophies such as the Challenge Acts and collecting all the Red Star Rings. Once you have completed the game and finished all of that you should have everything for this and the trophy will pop at the time regardless if you check the gallery or not.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/47.jpgTime Attacker (S)

Play Ranking Attack on all stages.

For this trophy you must be connected to PSN. Ranking Attacks are basically the same exact stages that you played in the story mode, you cannot select them until you have already completed them in story mode. Complete them again here in this mode for both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic and your trophy should unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/48.jpgRed Ring Collector (S)

Get all Red Star Rings.

Red Star Rings are in-game collectibles you must find in each stage. There is 10 per stage, 5 per Act meaning in each stage Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic both have 5 Red Star Rings they need to collect. It would be very recommended that you complete all of the Challenge Acts as noted in the roadmap before grinding out any missing Red Star Rings as the skills received through those Challenge Acts make hard to get Red Star Rings easier to obtain. Here each of these Rings will give you new items that count towards (Hedge)Hogging It All Up!. Please refer to this link for the locations of all the Red Star Rings

or under each individual Stage restored trophy where they will be embedded.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/49.jpgHalfway Point (S)

Clear half the Challenge Acts.

Please refer to Mission Accomplished! for more information.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/50.jpgMission Accomplished! (S)

Clear all the Challenge Acts.

Challenge Acts are various mini missions in each of the stages. Once you have completed the three stages to one era the Challenge Gates will become available, there are 10 per stage, 5 for both Sonics in each stage. The challenge acts are divided by types such as:

  • Speed
  • Technique
  • Doppelganger
  • Friends
  • Enemy
  • Item
  • Ring
  • Juggle
  • Rescue

The challenge acts aren't hard at all and you can take your time in most of them however the only notable one that could have players trouble are the Doppelganger Challenges as you have to race a double of Sonic in each stage.

Doppelganger Tips:

The Doppelgangers don't take the most ideal route and even miss jumps and get hit by enemies so as long as you play a clean run through each stage and avoid getting stuck or getting hit my enemies that may disrupt your run you should be fine. A good exploit with this event is the utilize checkpoints, for example of you are a large lead on the Doppelganger and then you mess up and they pass you, you can get yourself killed and it will start you back at your last checkpoint and the Doppelganger will be at the same position as he was when you reached the checkpoint.

Quick Reminders:

  • You are not required to obtain an S-Rank in Challenge Acts for Big Bang, so long as you complete them you are fine.
  • Skill Customization will not be applied during Challenge Acts

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/12.jpgSunny Side Up (B)

Defeat Death Egg Robot.

The Death Egg Robot was a boss from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. This battle is fairly easy, during the first portion wait for the Death Egg Robot to lock on to you and shot its arm at you, avoid the hit and then it will leap at you, at this point at time spin dash (:square:) under it and then spin jump (:cross:) on the green opening on its back. After two hits you will reach the top of the area, if you are stuck in the middle wait for the Death Egg Robot to jump towards you, position yourself behind its leg when it lands and it'll launch to where you need to be. Here you want to lure the Death Egg Robot to hit one of the bottoms laid out when it does its lock on attack, if it hits the bomb it'll become vulnerable for a couple seconds allowing you to jump on its arm and attack it. After two hits here you will have finished defeating the boss.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/13.jpgPerfect Punisher (B)

Defeat Perfect Chaos.

Perfect Chaos was a boss from Sonic Adventure. This boss requires you to manage your rings well (just a little) so that you can just boost when it's needed. At the start of the boss fight follow the path towards Perfect Chaos and pick up as many rings as you can, once you start to get closer to him start holding :square: to boost towards him and Sonic will boost right into him and damage him. The second time you follow another path that lead you up springs, at the right timing you have to hit :cross: when the green lock on symbol appears, after this hit you'll have to hit him one more time similar to the first attack. After the 3 hits you'll be on pieces of rubble, follow it towards Perfect Chaos and finish him off.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=646kfxc1O_8]Perfect Punisher[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/14.jpgBoom Boom Dragoon (B)

Defeat Egg Dragoon.

The Egg Dragoon was a boss from Sonic Unleashed. Just like the boss with Perfect Chaos this one required a little meter management. At the start of the battle make sure you boost (:square:) on the small ramp to the left to the rails at the top right, there will be two rails make sure you jump yourself by hitting :rightls: once your current railing is about to end and remember to jump over the spike on the second railing. After you have boosted off the ramp here you attack the Egg Dragoon with a timed :cross: when the green lock symbol appears. If you can right here try boosting to him on the ground as fast as you can avoiding any ice and fire attacks he throws at you, once you get close to its core you can jump and attack if you see the green lock on symbol, if you aren't so quick enough you can do it after the next bit.

There will be a portion where you are in a 2D view, jumping accordingly avoiding the ice attacks Egg Dragoon throws at you. At some point he'll lock you in with some wall jump panels, wall jump them to the top however don't be so hasty as he'll be throwing out ice through the middle, about two quick wall jumps should do before the ice attack and then you can finish it off with the remaining 3. Finally after enough attacks (you may have to do some of the above multiple times) you and Egg Dragoon will be sent though a skydiving sequence. Holding :square: to catch up to him and attack him, if you're quick enough you can finish the boss fight in this one skydiving sequence, if not then just hit him into the sequence again with one of the methods posted earlier and hit him one more time to finish him.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/15.jpgScrap Metal (B)

Defeat Metal Sonic.

Metal Sonic was a boss from Sonic CD. This boss fight is pretty straight forward especially with Omochao guiding you throughout the fight. Basically after each attack Metal Sonic does he will overheat and be open for attack, at that point spin jump (:cross:) to him to hit him, after about 4 hits he should be defeated. Here is the order in which his attacks will come:

  1. He will do spinning attack on the road towards you, simply jump on him as he tries to pass by.
  2. This next attack he will try to charge up at the right most part of the screen, don't run so fast let Classic Sonic lag a bit behind to avoid the attack and then go in for the attack
  3. Here he will through lamp post at you, you will see shadows of the lamp posts on the road when they are about to hit you, simply move away to avoid them and then once again attack Metal Sonic.
  4. This final attack will have him rush you with a stronger wave attack, run as fast as you can to reach the platform above and jump accordingly as he destroys bits and pieces of it, after he overheats attack him for the finish

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/16.jpgShadow Boxing (B)

Defeat Shadow.

Shadow was a boss from Sonic Adventure 2. Shadow's fight starts off as a race to see who gets two special cores first, you want to consistently hold down boost :square: pushing Shadow to the side if he tries to pass you and collect as many rings as you can to keep your boost gauge up. Once you get close to the core will be added to core count, once you hit two you'll activate a special Power Up! mode. Here you just have to run into each of the glowing meteorites on the field and then finally drag right behind him to finish him off.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/17.jpgSilver Got Served (B)

Defeat Silver.

Silver was a boss from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). During this boss fight you'll be navigating with :l1: and :r1: to avoid cars and any obstacles on the road. His first opening will be when he lifts up cars with his psychokinesis and the cars will glow light green, use a homing attack to chain off the cars and attack Silver. Now you just have to avoid random attacks he makes such as taking cars above you and dropping them on you similar to Metal Sonics lamp posts and then shooting a psychokinesis wave at you that you must jump over. Later on he will gather a group of cars and bunch them together to ram them at you, jump on top of them and boost towards silver to attack him. Next he will just do similar attacks from earlier, just avoid them accordingly and attack back. Finally he will a large amount of building pieces and cars and ball them up in a boulder to finish you, hold boost down and at some point you'll reach Silver, jump and finish him off with a homing attack.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/18.jpgTreasure Hunter (B)

Collect all the Chaos Emeralds.

Collecting all the Chaos Emeralds will happen naturally as you defeat all the above bossed and progress through the story. Once you have defeated all the Hedghogs and Egg Dragoon you should have this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/30.jpgCan't Touch This (S)

Take no damage from the final boss and clear the stage.

This is by far the most frustrating trophy in the game however with a bit of knowledge and understand of Time Eaters attack patterns then this could be much much easier than it is. What makes this so intimidating is that not only can you not get hit by one of his many attacks is that you must manage your rings properly, as Super Sonics your ring count is slowly depleting and once it reaches 0 it's game over. Here are some tips that make this trophy a lot less frustrating:

  • During his first two phases there will be debris he throws at you, launching Classic Sonic at them with :cross: will destroy them or holding :cross: will have him destroy multiple ones.
  • Always hold :square: if you want to close any gaps between you and Time Eater, of course if you see an obstacle that could get you hit to ruin your trophy you can let off it for a little bit but aside from that your hand must never let go.
  • Always stay in the Modern Sonic viewpoint never switch to Classic Sonic unless you want to avoid attacks
  • When Time Eater does move into the other time dimension side use this time to look out for Rings to help your Ring Management or if hes too far away from you look out for incoming rings (keep in mind boosting through him allows them to follow you allowing you gather more rings)
  • During the last phase DO NOT use Classic Sonics :cross: to launch him into debris, the debris will be relatively low in the final phase and if you were to launch him you can't switch to Classic View to avoid attacks which would be bad if he were to use his laser while you launch Classic Sonic
  • At the end of each of his phases or after he gets hit successfully lay off the boost and then get to collect more rings in the new dimensional wrap you appear in.

Understand Time Eaters attacks and how to avoid them will be the key to this trophy, if you are having trouble please refer to Kiid01's Can't Touch This Thread

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/35.jpgJump for Joy! (B)

Find the spring hidden in GREEN HILL Act 1 and reach the goal with a Red Star Ring.

Following the method under Greased Lightning once you reach the 3 red springs and hit yourself up through the Bee you will see another Bee and a tree behind him, behind the leaves of that tree is a yellow spring which will let you to one of the Red Star Rings. You can either hit your jump there through the enemy bee or from jumping off the top of the slope.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/36.jpgWalk on Water (B)

Clear CHEMICAL PLANT Act 2 without entering the water.

For this trophy you must clear CHEMICAL PLANT Act 2 (Modern Sonic) without making contact with the purple water. Here are the portions to keep in mind when going through the level:

  • After the first checkpoint jump immediately and boost yourself to the top portion of the map, while taking that route you will land on weak platforms, jump off those platforms to the next until you see an enemy, jump and lock on to the enemy and then dash yourself to the next checkpoint ahead.
  • After a skydiving sequence you will slide under some doors, after you are under those doors stop immediately and slow move forward and make sure you grind the rail to the other side. Boost on the ramp ahead and use a homing attack on the enemies above.
  • After you launch yourself from the cannon and into the water slide try to stop immediately or at least make sure you can make it to the otherwise after it without falling down.
  • After your next checkpoint make sure you jump and use homing attacks on the enemies in front of you to bring yourself to higher ground.

After this you should have nothing to worry about and you can finish the level, if you so happen to die after the last checkpoint you can still finish the level for your trophy. This trophy will unlock at the end of the level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/37.jpgWalk on Air (B)

Clear SKY SANCTUARY Act 1 without falling and losing a life.

For this trophy you must clear SKY SANCTUARY Act 1 (Classic Sonic) without dying. When playing this you want to look out for unsupported green panels or glowing purple platforms as they will far after you step on them. A lot of people also die at the last rush at the end of the level when you are running around the pillar, if you feel as if you aren't going to make it in time simply try jumping at the end before the platform crumbles below you. This trophy will unlock at the end of the level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/38.jpgThe Byway or the Highway (B)

Get the Red Star Ring located on the shortcut route in SPEED HIGHWAY Act 2 and reach the goal.

Soon after getting on the highway after the Rocket tosses you through a building and going through some crazy turn come to a complete stop. Slowly make your away around the corner to the right to notice a ramp there. Boost on it and make your way down the highway till you see a couple boosters and blue canisters. Focus to the left to a little lone booster and a small catwalk. At the end of the catwalk boost and jump to get the Red Star Ring for your trophy. This trophy will unlock at the end of the level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/39.jpgDemolition Derby (B)

Wreck 30 or more cars in CITY ESCAPE Act 2.

During CITY ESCAPE Act 2 as Modern Sonic you will two portions where you can destroy cars, at the beginning and at the end when you are running from the trunk. You can easily get all 30 during the beginning by not boosting yourself or trying to gain speed, you can just ride yourself into the cars and it will count so long as it shows it bouncing away. This trophy will unlock at the end of the level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/40.jpgSecret Sleuth (B)

Get the Red Star Ring located in the hidden room in SEASIDE HILL Act 1 and reach the goal.

At the beginning of his stage as you make your way forward you will notice orange platforms, you must jump on them and from them jump to the platform ahead. This may be difficult but you can make it easier using the double jump effect from the Thunder Shield. Stay on the top most surface up until you have made your way to the cannon. The Cannon will launch you to the other side. Keep going up the top surface and pass the enemy will be two pillars moving up and down, go on the left pillar and once it goes down move to the left and next to a 1-up item box will be the Red Star Ring. This trophy will unlock at the end of the level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/41.jpgLook Both Ways (B)

Reach the goal in CRISIS CITY Act 2 without being hit by a tornado-carried cars or rocks.

At the end of CRISIS CITY Act 2 as Modern Sonic there will be a running portion at the end with a Tornado at the very back which will throw cars and rocks at you. I found that if you took this portion slowly by not boosting or running as fast no rocks or cars would fly at you. Once you reach the end of the level the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/999/42.jpgA Quick Breather (B)

Later in the level of PLANET WISP Act 2 you'll reach mine carts. Stay on the top most part of the mine cart section and along the way you'll see a Rocket Wisp in the air, jump at it and land back on your mine cart. As you keep moving forward you'll see a line of rings moving upward. Jump at the middle of the line and use the Rocket Wisp with a charged :triangle:, at the correct position you should obtain the Red Star Ring. This trophy will unlock at the end of the level.

I still have many videos I have to get uploaded but aside from that the guide is complete. There are many minor grammar/spelling errors here and there but that is something I'll have to take care of later. Enjoy and feel free to relay feedback !

Great guide, many thanks. I'd like to add that I believe you need to use Drift(L2 or R2 when going around corners) as well to get "Action Hero." The trophy popped for me after I used it on one of the street levels.

Also if anyone is having trouble with "Trickstar," using the d-pad seemed to work better for doing air tricks. The stick for me sometimes didn't do anything and other times it would work but the d-pad works everytime.

very cool guide, love the look of it.

anyway while I was following your guide I noticed that you only get Demolition Derby trophy at the end of the stage, so if anyone wondering why they didn't unlock it yet after the massacre with cars, you have to finish the stage first to unlock.

Most of the trophies unlock at the end of the level so I assumed people would just know but this point, Ill add the tidbit in.

I know this may sound like a stupid question, but where do you access online mode?

Also, I assume they must patch it before I can go online, because I don't wanna erase my friend list.

In the main menu when you press :start: it'll have "Continue" above of that is "New Game" ( DONT CLICK THAT) and below it will be Online Mode. I sent an email to SEGA about the issue and am now awaiting a response myself, I REALLY don't want to delete my friends list for the sake of a trophy, some people have reported that even after deleting their friends it didn't work.

Somehow, I got the 30 Seconds trial and Join the ranking trophies without deleting my friend list. There were people in my friend list online as well. I could do online just fine.

Just wondering, in Ranking, so far only my time for Green Hills Act 1 is appearing and I did the 2 acts on the first 3 stages. Must I wait for the thing to update? When I do the last stage, do I have to wait for it to update or will I get trophy immediately on competition?

I got the ''Join the Ranking'' right after finishing 1 Ranked Stage but my score weren't added.

Since I didn't finish the story, I couldn't do the ''Ranked on all stages'' trophy.

I also had no problem with the 30 seconds Trial.

Theres another glitched trophy, only this doesn't seem to be affecting everyone.

A few people on the sonic stadium forums and myself have reported that Eradicator doesn't always unlock. You are able to fix this by deleting your save file.

I fixed it by deleting both my save file and the patch, when I started the game I didn't download the patch, then I played Green Hill as Modern Sonic over and over until I hit 100 enemies as him.

I guess we can confirm that issue doesn't affect Canada, its look like only the US has this problem.

It's not, it's all over the place.

Over at the Sonic Stadium forums, lots of PS3 owners from all over the world are reporting the issue.

I myself was able to get the first online trophy, but 30 second test kept glitching, I had to delete almost my whole friend list.
