Knight21
Am I the only person that had such problems defeating this boss fight? I cannot seem to register some of the notes thrown at me even though I pressed the right button (thus I die in this level even though I have two health charms). I've also heard there is a glitch in the PS3 Collection version of this boss where the beats aren't in sync with the commands. If that is true, how can I overcome this without waiting for a patch to fix this issue?
paultsmith1980
I can confirm that there is not a glitch for this boss fight... I completed last night..... The problem is timing of when you press the butttons... The only tip I can give you is to press the buttons just before the magic hits you.... dmmx32
Its not glitched, its actually the easiest boss fight to me. just have to have good timing.
Pokkit_
I've also heard there is a glitch in the PS3 Collection version of this boss where the beats aren't in sync with the commands. If that is true, how can I overcome this without waiting for a patch to fix this issue? That happened to me as well. The beat is on track when you first encounter Ruby, but as soon as you die and respawn, everthing gets outta synced. You could though, just mash the buttons if you want to get this fight over and done with.
Eric-B14
This didn't glitch on mine.
SandeProElite
For some reason the music doesn't sometimes sync with her attacks so you can have trouble finding the rhythm. It's pretty much solved by following the rhythm that comes from the attacks instead of listening to the music. Just tap your feet on the ground to keep yourself in beat. ezkimo00
You can just press repeatly the coming notes. Like if there is comin triangle, triangle, square just keep pressing rapidly tringle, until you have avoided both and then keep pressing square.. I had a bit problems too, I remembered that is was a lot easier, but I dont know is there is any differences..
Renegade
I had a few problems with out of sync notes but it seemed to sort itself out after a while.
Bryc10
I had a lot of trouble with this one, my button presses did not seem to register, but I tried repeatly pressing the button of the uncoming notes and that worked like a charm!
Captain F22
I to had some trouble with the notes un syncing in the middle of the fight, but I just started spamming the incoming button and I FINALLY got that fat croc!
spawnvader
It really sucks how bad Sanzaru screwed up this particular port. This battle was my favorite in the game. While still playable, the fun of it has been lost due to the poor synching. I've noticed nearly all the audio is messed up, as opposed to the PS2 version, with the exception of now you can actually hear the dialogue between Sly & the bosses. The music has been messed up, the aforementioned Ruby fight just sucks now, and the sound effects are jacked. Anyone else hear the tiptoe sound ALL THE TIME while playing? Was cool when it showed up occasionally, but now it's just grating. /rant
Knight21
Well, you could ask yourself: What is a 7th generation game without some irritating glitch haunting your fun? I have expected a stable game but I forgot the fact we are in a generation of irritating glitches, so we better expect them from now on when buying a game. Thanks guys for the help though. I'll just rebel against the glitch and do a cheap cop out by rapidly tap the command buttons.

icedearth665
I found this super hard, but eventually the game gives you golden horseshoes and extra lives.
proskatercam
I found this super hard, but eventually the game gives you golden horseshoes and extra lives. Yeah, I also found it difficult since it lost sync or some sh**...
jsma516
I had to do this more by sight than sound. I just pushed the button when it looked like the note was getting close.
stegz17
I was having trouble with this boss fight too, until I spammed each button, then it was very very easy!

Oo Ion oO
I think this was the easiest of all the bosses. Maybe I got lucky the sound was in sync? But it's an easy beat though.
lucifermoloch
I've encountered this problem as well. I solved it by muting my television during the fight and keeping time by sight.
cpnneeda
After about the 10th time I was finally able to beat this. All I can say is FFFUUUU.
tc31wizard
I'm so damn frustrated with this boss, its not even funny. I'll give some of your guys ideas a go and see if I can finally trash her.
Oo Ion oO
I can't understand how Mz. Ruby can be so difficult for so many people? Either the sound syncronization is totally messed up, or .... dunno. Just press the correct button JUST A LITTLE BEFORE THE SOUND HITS YOU. It helps to have some sort of rythm sense though.
tc31wizard
I've encountered this problem as well. I solved it by muting my television during the fight and keeping time by sight. I finally took this advice and beat it easily.
Satnamji
I can't believe how many people vote this game a 1 or 2. The boss fights, limited lives, no check points in boss fights or mini-game stages, alone make it a 3-4, especially for those that have never played a Sly game before. With that said, the only way I could beat Ruby was spamming buttons, especially during the last sequence when she starts throwing X. The timing was very unforgiving in this and niether the rhythm method nor muting the sound if the synch was off (I couldn't tell) helped me one bit.
