Shadowrider50
I don't know about you but i found the bottles really easy to find and incase i had some hard ones i would use that binocular spotter thing whenever i had it. I am just up to the last one now but i need to finish clocknotwerk to get it. Did you use a guide for the bottles? Dont worry no shame in doing so, i've used lots of guides for collectibles. Pokkit_
Nope, since the levels are all relatively short and the fact that you could look for the clanking sound and find your missing bottle makes them relatively easy. Now Sly 2 and 3 though, if there was a trophy for finding all the bottles in the cities, that would've sucked. I would've most likely referred to a guide in tat case .
redphoenix
I didn't use a guide for any of the sly cooper games since most of the items are pretty easy to find. Edited March 5, 2012 by redphoenix
ShadowAFC
I tried to find them all by myself first. On a few levels I had missed one or two, so I checked some Youtube videos. Then I facepalmed at how obvious the location was

SandeProElite
Nope. I remembered them from the PS2 game and they're pretty easy to find anyway.

Caduceus
No guide was needed for me to finding the clue bottles. I did on one of the first levels because I couldn't figure out how to climb a column. Otherwise, I found them all.

iCreazilUK
I haven't platinumed the game but I've yet to use a guide for the bottles. I've just 100% completed the first area, with the frog. And during this, I got an ability to be able to view clue bottles that are close by using the binoculars. I use that if I struggle to find any, or I simply use them to look round while I go through a level. Seems easy enough to me. But in order to get the power-up, you have to collect all the clue bottles in an earlier level.
The D Zone
Some were very tough to find so I just followed a blueprint and had no problems.
Crealkllr
I used the bottle guide for the first level after i finished the story, but when i found out there were blueprints, i didnt use it after that. I want to say no, but i was going to look at it so i guess i did. I used it for 1/4 of the first stage, so i am ashamed to say i did
Dark_Phantom_89
I found every single bottle by myself and without the aid of a guide except for two in the Flaming Temple of Flame which were cleverly hidden away in a little alcove which you needed to sneak into. EAsports24
Most of the bottles are pretty easy to find, just need to look around. I've only had to use the binocular thing once, other than that straight forward

BlueTigerCub
A bit ashamed to say I did to start with, but when I picked up the blueprint to be able to spot all bottles I soon stopped. Not much fun playing a game like this and constantly referring to a guide.
