Introduction

This is the second game from the creators of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Racoonus. When we first left Sly, he had defeated Clockwerk and the four other members of the fiendish five. Sly's adventure this time has him and his gang going after the Clockwerk parts so that they are not put together again and cause mayhem in the world again. This is a much needed improvement upon the first game, giving you the option to run with the :r1: button and having a chapter screen instead of using the van/hideout as a hub to start a mission or a chapter. This takes action/adventure to another level compared to the first one. You are in an open world game within each episode having the option to start a mission when we feel like it and leaving the bottle collecting to a single episode, not different levels within an episode. You can still collect bottles in each episode for an extra technique. This time around you are more of a thief as you can now pickpocket coins and sell items on the ThiefNet, lurk from the roof and hit thugs from the skies making this Sly game one of a kind.

Step One

The first step is to play the game as normally and hold off on buying any items from the ThiefNet until you have obtained the Loot trophy; to collect 1,500 coins. You need to have that many coins in your possession at one time. After you achieved that trophy you can proceed to buy the specific items from the ThiefNet that corresponds to the specific trophy. I would advise using this link to find the clue bottles if you want to get that out of the way during you first chapter. This time around you get to pickpocket thugs and take coins/rare items from them, so I advise to do that as often as you can so you can collect as many coins as possible. Find the valuables located around the map in each chapter to net more coins and sell them on the ThiefNet.

Note: This is a great method for purchasing power ups/gadgets. Play the game straight to the end and buying only the necessary power ups/gadgets that are required for each mission. (You will get a message on your screen when there is a gadget/power up that is required for a specific mission.) Load up an older episode (maybe episode 7). Proceed to purchase the specific item until you have no more money, then exit to the XMB (Not to the main menu of the game). Load up the game, rinse and repeat until you obtain the trophies associated with the power up/gadget. Thanks for the tip king_of_kickz.

Step Two

There shouldn’t be a step two, since most of the trophies will come from playing the story and buying the specific items from the ThiefNet. Happy hunting.

Collect 30 clue bottles

I would advise using this link to find the first 30 clue bottles in the first level. It would save a lot of time in the next chapters. The clue bottles can be found throughout the game, but with a game like this it's best to get it out the way so you don't lose track of the story. You will have to collect all bottles in one level. Here is a video to help you if you want video assistance. Credit to Neonfoxletsplays for making the video.

This is just like Bentley's standard time bomb except now you can put them to sleep, but it cannot be used while he is in the air. It's the same as his sleep darts. Bentley is completely immune to sleep gas, so he can walk through his own snooze bombs without fear. Press :select: to assign the bomb to a button.

22.jpg Artful Dodgertrophy_bronze.png

Purchase the Combat Dodge from ThiefNet

To purchase this ability, you will have to go to the hideout, move to the left to Bentley and go into the ThiefNet to purchase. This is Sly's ability. With this power up Sly can quickly jump to the left or to the right. The combat dodge power up can only be used in his combat stance, and even then it doesn't help him avoid many projectile attacks at close quarters.

23.jpg Reptilian Robbertrophy_bronze.png

Defeat Dimitri

Mission related and cannot be missed. This is a straight forward battle with Dimitri.

[spoiler=Robber]Use the green goo containers for cover to get close to Dimitri, while he is shooting at you. After you have dealt enough damage to him he will do a fast moving attack to move away from you and go to another side of location you are fighting at. He will start shooting at you again until you get close to him again.

  • Watch out for his melee attacks when you are close to him.
  • Watch his spin attack and mini uppercut moves.

Jump attacks work great when you want to attack him and they do more damage. Once the battle is over Dimitri will run to his printing press and Sly will hit him from behind.

This is where Murray comes in to save his friend. You fight Rajan as normally, while dodging his attacks and land as many hits as you can before his next move.

Stick close to Rajan, when he raises his staff punch him 2 or 3 times before running away. Avoid both the swinging attack and the overhead smash attack. Avoiding those attacks will allow Murray to punch Rajan easily.

If Rajan goes up into the air to perform a lightning attack, prepare to double jump over the water. Rajan doesn't change this attack. He will soon summon his guards into the pit. Try to hit Rajan into the electric fence surrounding the circular pit.

If you are low on health attack the guards some of them drop health packs. Continue to hit Rajan when possible.

33.jpg  Loot! (G)

Collect 1,500 coins

You must have all 1,500 coins once. So I would advise not to purchase anything until you have obtained this trophy. If you are having trouble rounding up the required coins for the moves, I suggest either finding the rare loot items hidden around each episode, or go pickpocketing for items as they sell for a decent bit of change and the enemies carry better loot for you to pickpocket as the episodes progress. You will know when a person has a rare item they pocket will shine bright. Canada is the perfect place to pickpocket for rare items and finding the rare items around the map.

Defeat Clock-La

Mission Related and cannot be missed.

Spoiler

After you have dealt enough damage she will start shooting electrical rings at you. Shoot the ring once while watching out for missiles. Shooting the rings twice will activate the electric current around the ring.

You will know when the current is still going it will be shining bright, with the electrical field around it and going through the hole.

After you have done 80% of damage to Clock-La. She will crash breaking the big floating town apart. She is not dead and she takes Bentley and Murray. Sly gets out of the Copter and goes after them. You will have to jump on the floating parts to get to Clock-La.

  • Clock-La's Head.

Once you get to Clock-La stay on her wing and keep hitting her head until she is defeated. Once you see a red ring start forming around her face move away so she can shoot the ball away from you. Press :cross: then :circle: to jump on her back.

After a while you will have to jump to the other side of the wing. A few more hits and she goes down. A cutscene comes up and you will be able to proceed to the next and hopefully last trophy; Opening Clock-La's Mouth.

Thanks Kirbydude385 for the Video.

This was my method for purchasing the upgrades needed for the trophy because I just played the game straight to the end and purchased the required ones for the specific missions so I ended the game with about 4600 coins.

So I loaded back Chapter 5 in the safe house and purchased what I needed for the trophies and if i didnt have enough coins for another upgrade I needed I would quit to the xmb and continue to purchase a different 1 till I got all the trophies for upgrades because the game doesnt save after you purchase something as long as u dont exit out to the main menu.

This works for 2 & 3

Is there any benefit to finding all the bottles in the game like with Sly 1? There doesn't seem to be a correlation between the bottles and the safes like with part 1.

look 3 threads down Jam... lol the answers no... just bang em out in the first chapter and you wont have to do them again ;)

see you on the other forum...

There is no trophy after finding the first 30 in one episode, but if you want you can collect clue bottles in each episode to get the techniques and other stuff

Jade Vase (246 coins) - On the balcony at the rear side of the discotheque, above the exterior dining area.

Episode 2

Ming Vase (249 coins) - At the back of the guest house, within the open walkways at the rear.
