JulzK_nz
Quick question.. are the hats discovered stored on the portal ? Cause I have both games, but the new portal for giants seems to not show the hats we found under the Spyro game ? I'm guessing we probably need to use the new portal on the old game to discover the hats perhaps ? Or is there some way of sharing the hat info between portals ? CEOIII
The portal doesn't store anything. Think of it like this: Your figures are memory cards, the portal is the port you plug the cards into.
Pierce
The hats unlocked are saved in your saved game. If you have multiple saves for the same game (eg. after completing Giants on normal difficulty, you started Nightmare difficulty playthrough, in a separate save slot), each will have different hats available depending on what you have unlocked during the playthrough in that saved game. Each figure does store the current hat that the character is wearing. The figure may still be wearing that hat in-game even if it is not unlocked in the saved game being played. For example, in Giants, when you complete Nightmare difficulty playthru, you unlock a certain unique hat. If you equip the figure/character with that hat, then go back to the normal difficulty saved game, the character will still be wearing that new hat even though it has not been (and will never be) unlocked in normal difficulty. However if you use that figure in Spyro's Adventure, the character will not be wearing that hat, probably cos the first game does not have it at all. Furthermore, each figure/character has a set of bronze, silver and gold hats. These are not stored in the saved game. The characters have their own sets of side objectives (kill xx number of this enemy, etc., varies by char). By completing these objectives, you will unlock those hats. These unlocked hats are stored in the figure. Nothing is stored on the portal. Edited December 29, 2012 by Pierce
