Road map:

Introduction:

This is the latest addition to singstar which enables you to use any PS3 Guitar controller with it. The gameplay is very similar to rock band/guitar hero. Most original Singstar trophies can be earnt while playing with the guitar.

Step 1: Basics

Connect two guitars and a camera and go play any song on any difficulty. Remember to tilt the guitar during the song to unlock Guitar starter, Duelling...banjos? and Tip the balance.

Step 2: Practice

Now go and play every song you have and see what song you did the best in, then go and practice it to death to try and get 9744 points to unlock A place where deals are made. While practicing, you will most likely get Hold the line for playing held notes for 300 notes - for every held note you see you will want to hold your whammy bar down on them.

Step 3: Mop up

For any trophies you are missing, just go play some of your favourite songs and do what you need to do to get the trophy.

Play your first guitar song

Just play a song with guitar.

Play any song with two guitars

Have two guitars connected and play a song until the end. You don't need to play the other guitar, just have it connected and play a multiplayer mode.

Play held notes for a total of 300 seconds

Will come while going for Shake the house down. The best song I have found for this trophy is "I predict a riot" by Kaiser Chiefs.

Use the whammy bar on held notes for a total of 300 seconds

Just use the whammy bar down when playing the long notes and this will pop up in no time, a good song to do this with is "I predict a riot" by the Kaiser Chiefs.

Use the guitar tilt to take a snapshot

Plug a compatible camera in and while playing a song, tilt the guitar anytime during the song and the trophy should pop up shortly after.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/129/38.jpgDrop the hammerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Play 1000 hammer-on or pull-off notes

Hammer-on and pull-off notes are the notes where you only need to strum the first note and after that you only need to tap the correct button (hammer-on) or remove your finger from the button to expose another (pull-off).

Defeat our resident guitarist! Achieve over 9744 points on hard mode on any 'normal' length song

This trophy is easily the hardest trophy on the list, this requires a fair amount of skill. You have to hit over 95% of the notes. Find a song you are good at on Medium and keep practicing on Hard until you can hit over 95% of the notes. I would recommend "Elbow - Grounds For Divorce".

A place where deals are madehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

I wouldn't recommend people choose a song they're good at on medium because the note charts are completely different. You really do have to just jump into the deep end and choose a song on Hard.

That said, there are a few easy songs... I got it on "Song 2", and I made quite a few mistakes too. The important thing is to nail the bonus phrases.

Ok, now I know what Hamme-on/Pull-off Notes are :D, I didn't know that there is a tutorial on the disc...

But I seem to miss these notes or I play songs where there aren't any Hammer-on/Pull-off notes, where are the most "H-o/P-o" notes?

There are loads of Hammer and pull off notes in :

- Tina Turner Steamy windows (around 100 notes to hit in normal length)

You have to play on HARD to see hammer-on or pull-off notes

Are the Guitar Hero Guitar bundles working for Singstar or do I have to buy an extra guitar ? Where to find it as well :)

The guitar is compatible mate, no need to buy another guitar.

Also can I just say the trophies for this game is heck easy. I would rate the difficulty to be closer to 3.

Another FYI, a good song to do to get the 'Hammer Drop' trophy is Stereophonics - I'm just looking. It only took me about 30 mins or slightly more to get the trophy.

Are there hammer on or pull off notes in Stop and Stare? If yes, where? I can't see them. Thanks

Yeah man, they're there but there's not very many. The first note in the long strings of single notes are mostly HOPO's, the single yellow hold note is a HO and there's a quick Green-Green-Red every once in a while, where the Red is a HO. I think there are more but just look out for the faint white glow on the base of the notes and you'll start recognizing them.

As was stated before, make sure you're playing on hard or they won't show.;)

Thanks. If I play them like normal note, they will be counted as HOPO? I hate this game because it hasn't a stats counter!

Do you know if you need to buy the Disc for the trophies? Or can you just buy a Guitar DLC Song in the SingStore and get the trophies?

there's a free guitar gameplay type on the store and then you have to buy the guitar upgrades for dlc songs. this works without the disc, as i am able to play guitar mode on my vol. 1 disc.

For me the easiest songs for gold trophy are "Hoobastank - The Reason (DLC)" and "The Cure - Lovecats". BTW in these songs there are many of HOPO's.

For held notes I used the song "Blondie - Call Me (DLC)"

And I have get all three trophies from original game trophylist for scoring over 9000 with guitar. I'm not a good singer, so playing quitar helps me alot to get them :)
