Hi,

First of all anybody thinking of getting this game, you need to know one very important fact about it (important to me anyway) - if you hate, with a PASSION, escort or babysitting levels in games then trust me when i say this is definetly not the game for you! It is one long escort/babysitting game and i for one cannot stand it. i just wish someone else had warned me before i got it.

Anyway, my thread is basically pleading for anybody who has finished the campaign on hard or the swarms on insane. Apparently the campaign on hard is the easiest thing in the world according to the Plat Difficulty thread so i must be doing something wrong when it comes to loadout choice.

Im currently stuck at the 'Defend Database' part of level 7 Devolved. I just cant seem to cause anywhere near enough damage to the engineers or the boss type character with the long name and even longer health bars. I can have full shield on the database going into that 4th wave and it always gets destroyed. Is there anyone that could tell me which weapons/ammo combo to use? ive been using the assault rifle and shotgun but i still cant defend it.

Im a very good FPS gamer but this game has just started to really get on my nerves. Escort this, defend this, babysit that. Such a cheap way to up the difficulty.

Any help before i give up on this (in my opinion) TERRIBLE game?

You've beaten this already I believe, but to help with anyone else on this just use det packs for the bigger enemies along with the machine gun with high armor bullets. If that is the area I think it is (which I'm not 100% sure of) you just need to hide into the building when they shoot your shield off. Changing to have higher shield with your 10 points helps too. If you stay near a supply depot you can use det packs or napalm grenades the entire time as it will keep re-supplying you. While hiding in the building they will only come to the door (never from above), so having det packs at the door is helpful just in case they get too close. Have the repair tool handy as well.
