Introduction

Section 8 Prejudice is the sequel to TiimeGate’s 2009 first person shooter Section 8. It is a digital download title only, and contains more content then the original did. In the game’s campaign players are put into the shoes of Alex Corde, a member of the 8th Armored Infantry, who must deal with an intergalactic terrorist group known as the Arm of Orion. Aside from having a roughly estimated 5 hour campaign, the game offers a 4 player co-op mode called swarm where the player has to survive against never ending waves of enemies while protecting a control point. The game also offers a 32 player dedicated server multiplayer, 3 online game modes, and a ranking and unlocking system. The game offers its depth in customization not by what you can wear or what weapons you can buy, but by the ammo you choose and the weapon combinations you take advantage of.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Complete the game on Hard:

The game is not very hard at all, with the exception of a few areas where the game drastically increases it’s difficulty, you shouldn’t have too much of a problem with hard mode. A general strategy for this game, including every mode not just campaign, is to be prepared for every kind of situation. Simply using your assault rifle and its default rounds will not be enough to survive anything other than easy mode. A rule of thumb for this game is to have 1 weapon for taking out shields, 1 weapon for taking out armor, 1 weapon for taking out vehicles, and a misc weapon/item to suit your play style; could be the repair tool, sensor beacon, or even the knife for example.

One of the missable trophies that you need to be on the lookout for is in the first level where you’re on the training course. The final part of the tutorial has you completing a training course in which you are timed and have to beat it in less than 53 seconds, unlocking the trophy Cheetah.

During this playthrough you will unlock:

  • Basic Training
  • A thorne in their Side
  • Dig Two Graves
  • Mission Accomplished 2.0
  • Battle-Hardened
  • Cheetah

Step 2: Using new campaign and selecting chapters for clean up on missable and misc. trophies

Like the step says, choose new campaign and select the chapter you need to replay. The first thing I would do is replay the final level, prejudice, on easy and go for the trophy Use More Guns. More information can be found in the trophy description below, but this trophy is tricky and I couldn’t even get in normal mode, let alone hard.

Other trophies that can be gotten if missed are:

  • Knife to Meet You
  • Napalm in the morning
  • 'Til it Goes Click
  • Spice of Life
  • The Old One-Two Punch
  • Can I Take Your Pulse?
  • Demolition Man
  • Mortordom
  • Natural 20!
  • It’s A Trap!
  • Moving Violation
  • Backseat Driver
  • I’m The Juggernaut…

Step 3: Complete Multiplayer

Multiplayer in Section 8: Prejudice is both fun and more importantly easy to boost. Before you do anything, customize your loadout from the dropship for Fashionista. On your way to getting the level 50 trophy, Like a Boss, you will inevitably get some trophies while others will have to be either boosted or played offline.

You will get the level 2 trophy, Movin' On Up, within your first couple of matches and as soon as you're on the winning team at the end of a ranked match you will get Warmed Up. You will more than likely get Millennium Club in multiplayer unless you decide to play the campaign twice.

Trophies that need to be done in ranked matches are:

  • Garbage Day!
  • 32 Peices of Flair
  • Feat-tastic
  • Loud Cartographer
  • Were They Even Trying?

While multiplayer trophies that can be done offline or unranked are:

  • Money In the Banana Stand
  • Mission Possible
  • Oh the Irony
  • Get to da Choppa
  • Gotta Cap 'Em All, Conquistador
  • That's Assault Brotha
  • Face Melter
  • My Little Friend
  • Duck Hunt

Step 4: Complete Swarm Mode

Swarm mode is in my opinion the hardest part of this game. Starting swarm mode I would start playing ranked swarm maps on medium. This will get you used to the maps and gamemode, as well as earning you Against All Odds once you've won a ranked game. Playing and winning on all maps on ranked will earn you Swarmaholic, and now you're ready to start playing on hard. Remember what you've learned from medium and it shouldn't pose too hard of a challenge. Make sure to play on ranked if you haven't reached rank 50 yet and once you've beaten all maps on hard you will get Exterminator.

Now that you've beaten all maps on medium and hard, you probably have a favourite map or one you find easiest to play. Pick your map of choice and play on Insane, once you've beaten it In the Membrane is yours. Lastly, choose medium and pick your favourite map again, using the skills honed from insane, play and beat the map without dying and the Citronella Armor trophy is your reward.

Complete the Campaign on Hard difficulty

Beating the game on hard will also get you Mission Accomplished 2.0. Hard mode is not too bad compared to other games out there, but there are definitely some very difficult spots. Some general tips for hard mode are to always, always have the repair tool. In a tough spot pulling out the repair tool and healing yourself or using it to repair turrets in a defensive location is a great way to help keep you alive. For almost every situation the shotgun with incendiary ammo is probably one of the best weapons to use in the campaign, before you can unlock it however I would stick with the machine gun as it allows you fire continuously at enemies without having to stop and reload. Using a detpack on a mech or an enemy with very high defense can also be a lifesaver; it takes 2-3 detpacks to blow up a mech after the shield is gone while it takes 4-5 with the missile launcher.

Defeat the Vehicle Engineer in the Prejudice level of the Campaign before he deploys a Mech

Video in spoiler for extra clarity on the trophy.

[spoiler=umg]In the final level, Prejudice, you will start out in a tank. Get past this point and make to the part of the level where you’re objective is to clear out the enemy. After this a cutscene will occur and two Arm of Orion members will confront you and your squad. After the cutscene you will have to fight them but here’s the tricky part, you have to keep your gun pointed at them long enough to figure out which is the Vehicle Engineer and which is the Deploy Engineer. Once you’ve indentified the Vehicle Engineer take him out immediately, don’t even worry about the Deploy Engineer. My Tip for this trophy is to play the level on easy, and to have the shotgun with incendiary ammo. 4-5 shots will take out the Vehicle Engineer and the trophy is yours.

Beating the campaign on hard will earn you 24 out of 60 stars, so now all you need to do is to get the other 36 out of the way. Playing each map on hard in conquest offline, 12 in total, will earn you you’re other 36 stars. *Note* this trophy does seem to be glitched as I received my 40 stars trophy without touching conquest offline once. I actually earned my 40 stars trophy playing swarm online.

Win a complete game of Swarm without dying on Medium or harder difficulty

Can be obtained in LAN mode.

The easiest way to get his trophy would be to play on the map Whiteout on medium. You need four people for this, not bots, and up to two people can get this trophy at once. (looking at the map from inside the dropship) The person(s) going for this trophy stay behind the rightmost circular dome the entire map, while everyone else makes sure to cover the CP. Lay down a supply point behind the person(s) hiding and make sure to have an easily accessible supply point for everyone else too. Everyone needs to have a repair tool and some sort of strike for the CP. Keep striking the CP when enemies get to close and make sure to put down turrets around the supply depot so that they can heal them. If you have enough money, buying one or two mechs is highly recommended. They can clear out a group of enemies by the CP quite easily, as well as make use of their quite powerful guns. Two or three people need to stay on the ground and cover the supply drops/ request new ones; and you can’t do that in a mech.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/12.jpg Against All Odds (B)

Win a complete game of Swarm

Can be obtained in LAN mode.

Just like the description says, choose the swarm game mode and play it through until the end. You can play it on any difficulty and I actually recommend medium difficulty so you can both get used to swarm and get used to the map that you played on for higher difficulties.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/13.jpg In the Membrane (S)

Win a complete game of Swarm on Insane difficulty

Can be obtained in LAN mode.

This is by far the hardest trophy in Section 8: Prejudice, it requires a tremendous amount of teamwork and some luck wouldn’t hurt either. Playing on Whiteout is recommended as if you’ve already gotten the Citronella Armor trophy then you are aware of what enemies come in what waves and from where. Although I will not recommend anyone hide behind the circular dome, I will suggest the supply depot by turret tactic. You actually need to put four next to each other, 1 per team member, in a square. Then carefully, so that a missile turret isn’t behind a minigun turret and ends up blowing it up, place a variation of turrets around it. Also use the strike equipment, I prefer the napalm but it’s really personal preference, to use when groups start swarming at the CP. Buying a mech is also extremely encouraged, it will help you take out the 2 mechs that come at the 10 minute mark, as well as help you keep some of the things you’ve requested; as the mechs go for turrets and supply drops over individual players seeing as how they cannot capture the CP. Another thing would be towards the 1 minute mark, the enemy increases it's difficulty even more. It seems like everyone on my team, myself included, would rush for the CP and ignore the enemies. This got us killed everytime; make sure to assign one person to the CP in the last minute and everyone else mortars/fights the other enemies to take the enemies attention away from the CP capturer.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/14.jpg Exterminator (S)

Win a game on each map in Swarm on Hard or Insane difficulty

Can be obtained in LAN mode.

I highly recommend that you use hard difficulty and not insane, there are six maps that you have to beat on hard and with some teamwork and coordination they can be done. Stick with the turret & supply depot strategy and make sure to have some sort of weapon for taking out groups of enemies by the CP. In the map Prometheus the CP is actually under the platform rendering mortar strikes useless. Here I would recommend the missile launcher with frag rounds (if a high enough level) or detpacks around the CP and surrounding area. *Note* Abbadon and Sky Dock do not count towards this trophy or Swarmaholic as they are DLC maps.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/15.jpg Swarmaholic (B)

Win a ranked match on each map in Swarm

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

I recommend going for this trophy first, to both play every map and to get used to swarm. I recommend starting on medium, but it that is too hard then definitely feel free to start on easy and work your way up to being able to beat hard.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/16.jpg Cheetah (B)

Finish the obstacle course in the Answers level of the Campaign in under 53 seconds

In the first level, answers, you will be completing obstacle courses that are essentially the game’s tutorials. The final obstacle course (after weapon training, dropship training, and equipment training) combines use of the jetpack, overdrive, shooting, and lock on segments. To unlock the trophy you have to beat it under 53 seconds, if by the end of the course you are over 53 seconds just press start and restart the checkpoint. The only hard part, if you can call it hard, is towards the end it tells you to jump and use your backpack after you’ve initialized overdrive. There is also a minefield at the end, but simply overdriving through it while your jetpack refills will not provide you with any kind of hardships with this trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/17.jpg Conquistador (B)

Win a complete game in Conquest

Can be obtained in LAN mode.

Conquest is one of the game’s online multiplayer modes. Simply choose Conquest from the main menu, and either use quick start or custom to find a favorite map. Once the game is over, and you’re on the winning side, the trophy will be yours. This will also go towards your progress for the Loud Cartographer trophy if you play it ranked.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/18.jpg Loud Cartographer (B)

Win a ranked match in each map group in Conquest

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

There are only 4 map groups for conquest (out of 6 if you have the overdrive map pack) and each map group has a set amount of maps related to it. For instance, Eden has two maps related to Eden, which are Eden – East and Eden – West. So you would simply on have to win on Eden – East or Eden – West, not both to count for the trophy. The four map groups are: Zephyr, Eden, Prometheus, and Whiteout.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/19.jpg Face Melter (B)

Kill an enemy with the Siphon Tool

To get this trophy, or the tool for that matter, you must first get I’m The Juggernaut… trophy. For this trophy I would start an offline game in any mode, I actually chose trivial on the map Zephyr in swarm. Make sure you have the Siphon Tool in your inventory, and when you see an enemy you can get in close to go, go for the trophy. Make sure to completely remove the enemies shield and to get them at 50% life at most. Then just use the Siphon Tool (:r2:) and when the enemy dies the trophy is yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/20.jpg Falling with Style (B)

Kill an enemy by dropping on them

This trophy is really tough, it actually seems impossible to do it legit, but you after spawning and falling from the drop ship you have to land on an enemy. The tricky part is you actually have to see where the enemy is, and while hoping they don’t even move an inch, you must land on them. I’ve actually landed a few inches to the left of enemies and did nothing more then remove their shields. To get this trophy I suggest boosting it, in which your partner and you pick a spot and meet up there. Then, the person going for the trophy kills themselves or gets killed by their partner, while the partner moves onto the dead body. Then the person going for the trophy finds the skull icon, where they died, and chooses to drop on that. As long as you partner is on your dead body and looking forward, not crouching or spinning or anything, when you land on them and kill them the trophy should pop.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/21.jpg Napalm in the Morning (B)

Kill 2 enemies at the same time with Incendiary damage

I actually did this trophy in the campaign, in level 6 where your objective is to repair the two turrets is the perfect spot. The area has been trenched out and the two turrets are at opposite ends. Enemies never stop spawning here, and they group together often on top of the ground outside of the trenches. Call a couple of napalm mortar strikes on the enemies until they die and the trophy is yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/22.jpg 'Til It Goes Click (B)

Kill 3 enemies in a row with the Machine Gun without reloading

In level 3 you are giving access to the machine gun, which is similar to the assault rifle but carries much more ammo and does not have a scope. Once you see an enemy simply point and shoot until they die, do this two more times without reloading and the trophy is yours. I would suggest using a secondary weapon or equipment item to remove an enemy’s shield but with the machine gun you very well may not have to.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/23.jpg Spice of Life (B)

Kill an enemy with each weapon type

There are 9 types of weapons, and you have to get 1 kill with each weapon for the trophy to pop. Once you’ve gotten a kill with a weapon you get a notification at the bottom what percent you’re done with. The weapons are: assault rifle, sniper rifle, machine gun, missile launcher, pulse cannon, shotgun, pistol, knife, and grenade.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/24.jpg The Old One-Two Punch (B)

Kill an enemy with any weapon after hitting them with a Grenade

This is easiest done in the campaign, you do not have to significantly damage the enemy with grenade, you do not even have to deplete their shield; you simply have to cause some sort damage to them with the grenade. Then with your weapon of choice, kill them before their health/shield starts regenerating. Here is a video for clarity sake, this trophy can be done long before level 7 but the napalm grenade and this location are good choices if you're pretty far in the campaign.

[/ame]

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/25.jpg Can I Take Your Pulse? (B)

Kill 20 enemies with the Pulse Cannon

The Pulse Cannon is a pretty decent weapon, and is available in level 6. Every time you kill an enemy a notification at the bottom will pop up saying how many you have left, simply kill 20 enemies with the weapon and the trophy is yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/26.jpg Close-Quarters Specialist (B)

Get 20 Defenses or Denials with the Shotgun

This trophy is easiest done in swarm on trivial mode offline. If you have the incendiary rounds equip them, if not just use the normal rounds for damaging enemies. To get a defense or denial the enemy has to be by the CP or actually trying to hack it. Simply kill 20 enemies as they try to capture the CP and the trophy is yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/27.jpg That's Assault, Brotha (B)

Kill 5 enemies in a game with the Assault Rifle from over 100m away

I found this trophy is easiest to boost with another player. Simply communicate with your boosting partner where you want to meet up, and decide who goes first. Once you’ve decided who goes first have the player going for the trophy scan the other player. Once they are scanned, you can see their shield, life, and how far away they are. Once it goes over 100m simply kill the enemy over and over in the spot they died. Once it’s the other person’s turn you can just remain in your spot and can keep respawning there until they get it.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/28.jpg Demolition Man (B)

Destroy 32 Structures with the Missile Launcher

A structure counts as anything that can be blown up; whether it is a missile/minigun/AA turret, convoy, fuel tanks, barrels of toxin, or generators. This trophy is cumulative throughout all playthroughs, though it is probably the easiest to get on campaign.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/29.jpg Mortardom (B)

Destroy 5 Vehicles with Mortars

As soon as level 3 starts you will come across a building where a cut scene starts. The cut scene shows a door that blows up and two mechs come through. This part of the game is actually where mortars are unlocked, so this is a perfect farming spot. Simply shoot away the mech’s shielding, call a mortar on it, and once both are gone restart the level; after you’ve blown up the fifth mech the trophy is yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/30.jpg Knife to Meet You (B)

Fatality an enemy with the Knife

In the beginning of the second level, your partner will fatality an enemy in front of you and then tells you to do the same. An enemy will come around the corner ahead of you, all you have to do is make sure your knife is equipped, then when you get close and the screen shows R2 hold it down. If you happen to miss or mess this up, there are actually two more opportunities to get this trophy in the same level. Your partner tells you to run ahead and snipe the enemies while he disables the jammers. You will run across a log on your way to a structure where your objective will start. There is one enemy outside to the right with his back to you that you can fatality and lastly there is another enemy inside the structure with his back to you that you can fatality.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/31.jpg Natural 20! (B)

Kill 20 enemies with headshots using the Sniper Rifle

This trophy is not hard at all, just requires a little bit of patience. You can get this trophy in level 2 of the campaign where you have to clear out sections of an enemy base for your teammate. It requires two shots to kill an enemy, regardless of a headshot, so you can shoot the enemies shield away by headshot or not and then carefully aim for the head and fire. A notification at the bottom will pop up when you get a headshot and if you finish before you get 20 simply restart and you will keep all the headshots you already have.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/32.jpg It's a Trap! (B)

Destroy an enemy Detpack

I was able to get this trophy in the campaign, but I cannot say how as I never saw an enemy using detpacks but in level 6 the trophy popped. It is however an extremely easy trophy to boost online, where all you do is have your booster that’s on the other team throw a detpack on the ground. Then shoot it and the trophy is yours.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/33.jpg Garbage Day! (B)

Complete a ranked match with the highest Combat score using only the Pistol (12 or more players)

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

Either you’re an amazing Section 8: Prejudice player or you’re just extremely lucky to have not gotten this trophy by boosting. Either way this trophy is extremely easy to boost, and does not require 12 actual players, but a minimum of three real people and a combination of bots to equal 12 people. If you’re going for the trophy just make sure to use the pistol and only the pistol; it doesn’t matter if it’s your secondary weapon or what ammo type you use. You have to have the top score, not win the match, to get the trophy so having boosting partners you can keep killing will help you drastically.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/34.jpg Moving Violation (B)

Kill an enemy by colliding with them using the Bike

In the third level you will actually get an order to purchase a bike in the campaign. After you order it, just shoot at an enemy with the bike’s gun (:r1:) until their shield is gone and run them over. It doesn’t matter if you use speed boost or not, but I recommend not to as you cannot adjust your steering as well while you’re using speed boost.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/35.jpg Millennium Club (S)

Kill 1000 enemies

By the end of the campaign I had roughly around 600 of the 1000 kills needed. Playing online or in swarm, where swarm is recommended, the rest of the kills will eventually come to you in time. This trophy is not hard at all, just time consuming.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/36.jpg Duck Hunt (B)

Kill 10 enemies with the Deployable AA Turret

This trophy cannot be obtained in the campaign, but can be completed in an offline game or boosted in a private game. All you have to do is buy the AA Turret for $00 and set down next to a point of interest. Either kill 10 bots with it offline, or have your boosting partner spawn in its shooting radius 10 times to get this trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/37.jpg Backseat Driver (B)

Kill an enemy with any secondary Vehicle seat

In the last level, prejudice, you will begin the level in a tank. Simply press :right:, :left:, or  to use one of the three tank’s secondary firing modes and kill an enemy. I prefer the minigun, but any of the three will get you the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/38.jpg I'm the Juggernaut... (B)

Kill an enemy by colliding with them while Overdriving

This is actually easy to get on the first level of the game. When you start fighting enemies just click :r3: until you overdrive and collide with an enemy. You may need to hit them twice with overdrive or shoot their shields down first, but you have quite a few section 8 members helping you in the beginning of the game so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Getting this trophy will unlock the Siphon Tool.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/39.jpg Like a Boss (G)

Reach level 50 in ranked matches

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

Simply reach level 50 online in ranked matches to get this trophy. You can gain xp from swarm, assault, skirmish, or conquest. I have seen two ways to get good amounts of xp on your way to level 50; the first is legitimately playing swarm for loads of xp. The problem with that is if you’re not experienced with swarm or are on a team with randoms that don’t know how to work as a team; you may not get past the 10 minute mark. The second way is boosting with other players using the fatality method. To do a fatality online, have the knife equipped and shoot away an enemy’s shield and a little of their life away, then when prompted to hold R2 for the fatality do so. You get 12 xp per kill, which is the most amount of xp you can get at one time without use of vehicles, and before you know it your level will start increasing multiple times in a single round.

Reach level 2 in ranked matches

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

Simply play online in ranked matches and this trophy is yours. You should have this trophy by the end of your second ranked match; it is by far one of the easiest trophy on Section 8: Prejudice.

Win a ranked match while holding the enemy team to less than half your team's VP

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

This trophy is not hard at all, and actually relies more on luck then skill. The top red and blue bars at the top of the screen are your enemies and your VP (victory points) bars respectively. To earn this trophy, by the end of the round your VP amount must be at least double the number at which the enemy’s team is. Boosting this trophy is pretty easy if you just cannot seem to get it, but it really just depends on how the teams are put together and which team has the better players.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/45.jpg Gotta Cap 'Em All (S)

Capture each Control Point at least once in a game on a large map

This trophy is without a doubt easier to boost then it is to get legitimately. To get the trophy you must capture each of the 4 CPs at least once in a round on a large map, the smaller maps only have two CPs. While trying to capture a CP you have to get there before your teammates, eliminate any enemies without dying once you get there, and make sure the hack goes all the way through and that you’ve captured that CP before moving on to the next three.

Customize your armor type

From the main menu, press  and choose Drop Ship. From there choose armor, and pick a different armor skin. After you do that the trophy pops.

Survive against the Elimination DCM

Can be obtained in LAN mode.

Altogether there are 9 different types of dynamic combat missions (DCMs), and this one deals with Elimination. Elimination can be picked randomly, or if enough people choose elimination when the DCM Progress notification appears at the bottom (press :start:). Once Elimination has begun there are two parts that you will need to complete to get this trophy. First you have to actually be on the team that is getting eliminated, not the one eliminating. Secondly, you have to survive three minutes without dying; all the while having a target on your head that everyone on the other team can see you no matter where you go. If you don’t want to boost this, picking a spot far away from any other DCMs and CPs is ideal. Also having weapons that be fired from long distances (sniper rifle or assault rifle) and the repair tool will help you survive. This trophy can also be done in an offline 8 vs 8 mode, but it is not as guaranteed that you will get to be on the team being eliminated.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/48.jpg Oh, the Irony (B)

Repair a Supply Depot to full health

Supply depots are the things that allow you to change your weapons and equipment in battle or resupply you with ammo when you get next to them, you can see where a supply depot is by looking at your mini-map for a cross symbol in a blue box. Supply depots are located around CPs, so simply find a supply depot and destroy it, and with your repair tool equipped bring it back to full life. You will be deducted five points for destroying the supply depot but you will be awarded with a bronze trophy so it makes up for it :)

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/49.jpg Mission Possible (S)

Participate in each DCM successfully in ranked matches

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

There are 9 different DCM types altogether, you have to participate (you don't have to personally win it but your team does have to win) in each DCM to get this trophy. Once you have successfully participated in a DCM a notification at the bottom will pop up saying you have completed X/9 DCM. Simply participate in the following DCMs once: Airstrike, Intelligence, Convoy, Infiltrator, Jammer, Outpost, Recover, Elimination, VIP.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/50.jpg Money in the Banana Stand (B)

Purchase every Vehicle and Deployable

This trophy can only be completed in multiplayer modes, as swarm does not have the tank. Simply buy each of the items once to unlock this trophy, there are 8 altogether. The order in which they are available and the price for each are as follows: Supply Depot - $20, Sensor Array - $20, Minigun Turret - $40, Missile Turret - $40, AA Turret - $40, Bike - $100, Mech - $100, and tank - $180.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/51.jpg My Little Friend (B)(H)

Kill an enemy with a Micro Beacon

This trophy is practically identical to Face Melter, simply go into offline trivial swarm and shoot at enemy until their shield is gone and their life is just under 25%. Then with the Sensor Beacon equipped fire at the enemy; it might take two shots to kill them but if done correctly if will say you have killed them with a skull and crossbones instead of a picture of a gun or grenade and the trophy will pop. Here is a video for some extra clarity; I would like to say that your loadout can be changed in game, doesn't have to be before, and although I suggest trivial easy is fine too, displayed by this video.

Section 8: Prejudice Overdrive Map Pack

Overview:

  • Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 3/10
  • Offline: 6 (2(B), 4(S))
  • Online: 3 (3(B)) No longer possible
  • Approximate time to 100%: 1-3 hours
  • Glitched trophies: none

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/52.jpg Extra Leg Room (B)

Win a ranked match on Sky Dock. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

To earn this trophy you must simply be on the winning team while playing on the map Sky Dock. Any mode other then Swarm can be played on.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/53.jpg I Feel Like Lightning (S)

Hack a Control Point within 30 seconds in Assault. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

This trophy can be done offline in Assault, so I would recommend you do so. Pick your favorite map and make the bot difficulty trivial. As soon as the round starts drop as close to a Control Point and Overdrive the rest of the way; once it’s been completely hacked, before the first 30 seconds are over, the trophy will pop.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/54.jpg Lord of Avernus (B)

Win a ranked match on Abaddon. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

Similar to Extra Leg Room, to earn this trophy you must simply be on the winning team while playing on the map Abbadon. Any mode other then Swarm can be played on.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/55.jpg A Pinch of Assault (B)

Win a complete game in Assault. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

This is another easy trophy, simply make an offline game with trivial bots and win the match. It can be any map, just has to be the game mode Assault.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/56.jpg Full Assault (B)

Win a ranked match in each map group in Assault. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

No longer possible to be earned due to server closure.

With the Overdrive Map Pack the map amount for Section 8: Prejudice increased from 4 to 6. To get this trophy you have to win in a ranked Assault match once in every map group, not actual map. The 6 map groups are: Abbadon, Sky Dock, Prometheus, Whiteout, Zephyr, and Eden.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/57.jpg 1337 sysadmin (B)

Defuse 20 hacked Control Points in Assault. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

This trophy is easiest done in a private match in Conquest with you and 1 other person; once your boosting partner has hacked one of your Control Points, and before the virus overtakes it completely, just defuse it to get a credit towards your 20.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/58.jpg Ball Hog (S)

Capture 20 Control Points in Assault. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

This trophy is easiest done in a private match in Conquest with you and 1 other person. Just run in a circle capturing the Control Points, and then have your partner do if after you. As long as you’re playing on a large map in Conquest, the trophy should pop for the both of you in the same round.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/59.jpg Synchronize Our Watches (S)

Capture 2 Control Points within 10 seconds in Assault. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

This is by far the strangest trophy out of all the Section 8: Prejudice trophies, it is completely possible (as witnessed by myself when trying to help a friend with it) that you do not have to do a single thing to get this trophy. If two of the bots on your team, or even other real people on your team, capture 2 Control Points within 10 seconds of each other you will get the trophy. To boost this trophy with another booster, simply go in a private room with bots and both of you get to a Control Point. Decide at a certain time in which to capture 2 of the possible 4 Control Points, and once they have both been completely captured the trophy will pop.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/742/60.jpg I Am Legend (S)

Kill 5 enemies while defending during Sudden Death in Assault. Requires Overdrive Map Pack.

In assault mode, once three out of four Control Points have been captured by the opposite team sudden death happens. There is no way to reverse the sudden death status, and once you’ve been killed you cannot play until the next round starts. To get this trophy you have to kill 5 enemies without dying in sudden death. This trophy is the most difficult of the map pack, boosting or legitimately. The only good news about this trophy is the 6 people needed for this trophy can all get together and boost it in a private match.

Oh by the way, for the In The Membrane trophy, the last minute is probably the most chaotic and poses the most difficulty...When the mechs come, have 2/4 players run straight to them [each different mechs], try and get there shield off, and lead them AWAY from Control Point...You are probably going to die, but your death will significantly increase your chances of winning swarm on insane...

If you have 2 mechs guarding the CP plus all the enemy infantry and everyone keeps spawning to try and defuse it, 95% of the time you're not gonna defuse that CP and therefore lose swarm on insane...

Looks great bro, 25-35 hours is definitely off though. Getting to level 50 will take you 35-40 hours alone imo.

Thank you very much, I've had a difficult time placing this game's amount of time to (P) because it will vary greatly on what modes you play for xp and how you play for xp. Because I boosted the fatality kills method alot and have played swarm hard mode more then anything i'm level 40 in just under 25 hours. With the method(s) i've listed for getting xp I feel that 25-35 hours is an approiate amount of time to complete this game but if enough people say otherwise I will definitely update it.

Yes, the last minute of insane swarm is aptly named insane lol. Because mechs cannot hack the CP, and they have such high defenses, they automatically go for turrets or other vehicles first. Having turrets placed by the 10 min mark and even more by the 5 min mark will ensure your chances of surviving even more. It does seem like everyone throws tactics out when the CP gets hacked at the end, assigning one person to try and defuse it while everyone else mortors or attacks the mechs/enemies will significanly increase your chances of winning. I will update the trophy info with some of this information :)

well some people are skilled at shooters and may reach it faster than usual. But for casual players yes I agree with that estimate.

Nice guide mate.

thank you very much, i will go ahead & update my time to (P) from 25-35 to 25-50 hours. Depending on skill is a big factor, as well as if you boost xp.

He's missing the badge+feat guide, after that it will be worth a sticky IMO. Looks good so far though

Man swarm on Insane is just brutal.... :(

Thank you very much, I am almost finished with the badge & feat guide, as I only have a few badges left while the feat guide is finished (just going to make the whole thing 1 thread and link it to the guide). Yes insane is incredibly difficult, and truly is a breath of fresh air when finished. Good luck on beating it, and if you have any questions about insane mode don't be afraid to ask; i'm no expert but I have beaten insane on two different maps.

Got the platinum today. Damn, insane was crazy. Did it with a guy from here, meat, and I thank him and his suicidal friend. Enemy was capturing the CP near the end. There were three mechs out and the floor was filled with red triangles, but he burst in there and defused that CP like a true soldier.
