Many thanks Whiteclone for the great header!

Due to server closure, this Platinum is now unobtainable.

Cheats Disable Trophies?: No Known Cheats

Difficulty Affect Trophies: Yes

Trophy Breakdown: 30 (B), 8 (S), 4 (G), 1 (P)

Roadmap:

NOTE: It is currently not possible to get "Extra is more than "Normal" in the EU version because of a glitch. You can, however, unlock this trophy in the US version. The developers are aware of this glitch (basically an item does not unlock) but as of yet have not provided a fix. It is unknown if they will actually do anything about this so please bear in mind if you rent this game you'll be short of a silver and the platinum. You can keep an eye on this thread for any fix details: LINK

There are three main stages to completing this game: the story mode which is found in the arcade, the career mode found in simulator and the online section. There are also a number of miscellaneous trophies to be earned. All the missable trophies are in the career so please read extra carefully if you don't want to be doing it over and over. The actual order I provide below is not the order you have to do the game in, but it will show you what trophies you should be getting when so it makes sense to follow it.

Step One:

As you will just be starting out on this game the first stage I recommend you work on is the story mode found in the arcade. There are only two trophies to earn here, The fastest player in the west and What a beautiful tree! .

Step Two:

After working through the story there are a few other trophies that need to be obtained while in the arcade area. These include all the trophies listed under the Miscellaneous Arcade Trophies section of the guide.

Step Three:

Now that you've gotten the hang of the game and hopefully the layout of the tracks, you can move on to the career mode which is found in the simulator section. It might take a little while to get used to the changes, i.e. no longer having the line on the track indicating the path you need to take and your speed. All the trophies here are found in the Career Mode Trophies section. The career needs to be done in 3 separate parts. To start with, there are a couple of trophies that have to be done in different careers:

- Go ahead against the wall

- Rest in pieces

- Your life is a failure

Continuing on from this, you will want to do your main career run. This does not mean doing all 8 seasons and earning all the components; you instead want to focus on getting through each of the teams and winning the seasons to unlock all the trophies listed as "This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt." While doing this you can also do some of the miscellaneous simulator trophies such as:

- Do you know your engineer?

- My bike is better than yours

- Yes, weekend!

The final thing to do in career mode is start from the beginning and join an STK team and stay with them for all 8 seasons. This is the only way to ensure you get the chance to fully upgrade your bike for It's a long way to the top . By the time your bike is fully upgraded you will have completed most seasons, so finishing the final 2 or 3 will net you the last career trophy of You have the right to retire.

Step Four:

There are further trophies to earn in the simulator mode, including setting a record time on all tracks and various trophies involving the quick race feature. Check out the Miscellaneous Simulator Trophies section of the guide for full details.

Step Five:

There are four online trophies which you need to do. These can be done before the career or after the miscellaneous trophies, whenever you have a boosting partner, basically. You will get through them in 30-40 minutes. You only need one other person and can put passwords on the rooms so no one else will disturb you. Winning a full championship is much simpler than it sounds as you can lower the number of races from 12 to 3.

To find a boosting partner, check here:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/sbk-x-superbike-world-championship/50626-boosting-thread.html

Step Six:

This is the final mop up. By this stage you should have all trophies but those listed in the Miscellaneous Trophies section at the end of the guide. Many of them are very straightforward: Have you ever watched them? (Watch the credits) and Think for yourself (Watch a replay). You may also need to win a couple more races with the teams to finish unlocking the extras for Extra is more than "normal," but don't forget that currently one helmet is unlockable so even with all the races out the way you won't unlock this trophy. In doing all of this you should have passed the 2000km mark for From Naples to London as well.

Trophy Guide:

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/534/01.jpg You are the best! (P)(H)

All Trophies collected!

Story Mode Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/06.jpg The fastest player in the west (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win the final three chapters of SBK Story Mode.

The Story Mode is found in the Arcade section. Start a new story and complete the chapters for each track. To unlock the chapters you need a certain amount of points and to have completed the previous chapters on the path. The chapters are set out in a tree with more than one path to the finish, so you don’t need to do all the chapters for this trophy. However, as it is required to unlock What a beautiful tree!, you might as well do them all now.

You get points by finishing with a gold/silver or bronze ranking in chapters that you had already unlocked. The chapters vary between beating someone by 6 seconds and moving up X many places in a race (normally), in the rain, with faulty breaks, with a damaged engine (slow top speed), with a damaged bike (bad handling), with worn out tires (prone to falling off on corners) and without falling off.

As mentioned earlier, the chapters are set out in a tree starting with STK, then 2 branches of WSS and finally 3 SBK branches. Once you have earned enough points to get through to the SBK chapters you can unlock the final chapters in each of the SBK branches. It is 210 for the first branch’s final chapters, 240 for the second and 280 for the last one. These last three chapters are the only ones that you must achieve gold in. Doing so in all three gets you this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/13.jpg What a beautiful tree! (Bronze Trophy (B))

Reach at least one goal in all chapters in the Story Mode.

You will have finished all but 5-10 of the chapters when going for The fastest player in the west so simply finish the ones you had not done (bronze/silver or gold, it doesn’t matter). Once you have completed all 50 chapters and achieved at least a pass this trophy is yours.

Miscellaneous Arcade Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/15.jpg Win in one breath! (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win a Quick Championship.

To start a Quick Championship go to Arcade and select it. You have to do 12 different tracks and by the end of them be first in total points. To speed things up make sure you set laps to 5% so you only have to do 1 lap for each race and keep the AI on rookie. Each track you start in pole position, so it’s just a case of holding them off for one lap. During the course of the 12 races your first victory will net you The first time was quick. Don’t worry if you don’t win all the races as it’s the total points that matter.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/16.jpg The first time was quick (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win at least one race in the Quick Championship.

This is practically impossible to miss when going for Win in one breath!. See that trophy for details.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/28.jpg It is not so difficult (Bronze Trophy (B))

Enter the Pit Lane for the first time in any game mode in Arcade or Simulation.

From the main menu select Arcade, then Quick Race (when here select race options and make sure the race length is over 10% so you do more than one lap). Start the race and complete most of the first lap but when coming towards the starting line go off into the pits instead. You don’t have to do anything once in there, just let autodrive do it’s job and the trophy comes while that goes on.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/30.jpg Step on the gas! (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win your first Quick Race in Arcade.

From the main menu select Arcade, then Quick Race (when here select race options and put the length to 5% to only have to do one lap). Race through the one lap and finish in first to unlock this trophy. By default the AI are set to rookie and you start out first so this is not a challenge. Don’t worry if you don’t get the trophy right after winning since it appears after showing you on the podium.

Career Mode Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/07.jpg Career man (Bronze Trophy (B))

In the same career, win at least one season in STK, WSS and SBK in Career Mode.

This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt. As long as you sign up with an STK, WSS and SBK team over the course of your career and then win the season at least once you will unlock this trophy. By signing up with the three teams and winning one season with each you will also unlock Congratulations 4 your marriage and It gets serious.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/08.jpg And the winner is... (Bronze Trophy (B))

Beat at least one Special Opponent in Career Mode.

This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt. Special opponents are the ones with the crowns below their name. All you need to do is finish above them to unlock this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/09.jpg Your path begins here (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win your first race in Career Mode.

This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt. All you have to do is win a race during your career to unlock this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/10.jpg Tuner time (Bronze Trophy (B))

Unlock your first bike upgrade in Career Mode.

See It’s a long way to the top.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/11.jpg Sign on the dotted line (Bronze Trophy (B))

Accept an offer by an STK team in Career Mode.

When you first start a career you will be offered contracts with 3 different teams. Accept any of these three (you have to accept one to continue) and this trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/12.jpg It gets serious (Bronze Trophy (B))

Accept an offer by a SBK team in Career Mode.

See Career Man.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/14.jpg Congratulations 4 your marriage (Bronze Trophy (B))

During the same Career sign at least three contracts.

See Career Man.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/26.jpg Go ahead against the wall (Bronze Trophy (B))

Damage a bike to retirement in Career Mode.

In Simulation, start a new career and in Race Options put on Bike Damage. Skip ahead to the race and focus on smashing your bike up by driving full speed into the barriers. Once it is wrecked the race ends and you earn this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/27.jpg Rest in pieces (Bronze Trophy (B))

Sustain enough injuries to force your rider into retirement in Career Mode.

In Simulation start a new career and in Race Options put on Rider Health. Skip to the race and drive as fast as you can into the barrier. Repeat this until you injure the driver, then the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/35.jpg Not so popular (Silver Trophy (S))

Lose at least 100 reputation points in Career Mode.

This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt. Once you have completed all the other main career trophies you will be with an SBK team who will expect you to do well each season, so last place finishes will cost you plenty of reputation. Keep doing this for races until you have lost 100 points. It should take just over 1 season. To speed through this simply skip to the race and as soon as it starts press :start: and go to Abort; you won't have to do the race and you will automatically finish last.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/36.jpg Your life is a failure (Silver Trophy (S))

Finish one entire season in Career mode without arriving first.

This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt. While going for Not so popular you will be aborting every race which means you finish last. Once you have done this for an entire season of races you will earn this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/37.jpg Now you have to keep them clean (Silver Trophy (S))

Win all the cups in Career Mode.

This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt. There is one cup for winning each track as well as one cup for winning once with each of the 3 classes (STK, WSS and SBK) and lastly the superpole cup. To win the superpole cup you firstly have to be signed up to an SBK team. What you need to do is qualify in the top 20 in both qualifying rounds to then be able to advance into the superpole rounds. These are 3 further qualifying rounds where the lowest timed riders are slowly eliminated. You need to qualify in pole position at the end of the 3rd round to get this cup.

Magny-Cours seems like a good course to do this, as the AI through both qualifying rounds and the 3 superpole rounds never got under 1:51 and my times were all sub 1:50, so you can set one sub 1:50 lap then skip the rest of the time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/41.jpg We esteem you (Gold Trophy (G))

Reach 999 reputation points in Career Mode.

This trophy is earned during your main career mode attempt. You have a total of 8 seasons to achieve this. You should make this in 3-4 seasons easily (as long as you win the season as each win is worth +100 reputation).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/42.jpg It's a long way to the top (Gold Trophy (G))

Upgrade all bike components in Career Mode.

This trophy must be earned in a new career. In order to unlock every component you must carry out each test when it comes up. In order to see if there is something to test that weekend, when inside the garage go across to session and see if there is a spanner icon next to one of the sessions. If there is it means there is a new component up for grabs, so go to the session and complete the task. The first time you do this you will earn Tuner time. As you will need to stay with the same team throughout your career to earn all the components, this will have to be done on a new career as you will not be able to get the other trophies (for joining new teams, etc).

The bike is fully upgraded when the stats are 5.0 for all 4 areas. The test will require you to use your breaks very little (just do a lap slowly), reach a high speed (flat out a straight even if you then crash), keep a perfect trajectory (hardest by a long way, try to keep behind an AI rider and follow his line) and minimum speed (complete a lap without the speedometer dropping below about 30mph on some tracks, 50mph on others, so aim for 50mph).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/43.jpg You have the right to retire (Gold Trophy (G))

Complete Career Mode at least once.

You have to get through all 8 seasons and when you complete that you will earn this trophy. This is best earned when going for It's a long way to the top since getting all the components requires almost all seasons to be played. If you do this with an STK team you will have less races in the year and only 1 race each weekend so the career takes less time.

Miscellaneous Simulator Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/03.jpg Do you know your engineer? (Bronze Trophy (B))

Use the Technical Meeting in any Simulation game mode for the first time.

This trophy can be earned during your main career mode attempt. In the garage scroll across to Engineer and then select Technical Meeting. Soon as you select it the trophy will come.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/04.jpg My bike is better than yours (Bronze Trophy (B))

Save a setting in any Simulation mode for the first time.

This trophy can be earned during your main career mode attempt. When you are in the garage screen scroll across to Bike Settings and select it. After this simply select any of the features of the bike and alter it (for example select suspension and lower the first value by one point) then scroll across to the Data option (the last option inside the Bike Settings), select that then select Save.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/17.jpg Climb towards success (Bronze Trophy (B))

Reach all podium positions at least once in Simulation in different Quick Races.

Access Quick Race from the Simulation menu and pick the track you want to play on. You will need to do this three times and for each race finish in a different position. You need to be first once, second once and third once. If you are having trouble finishing second or third, change your starting position when you set up the quick race (under Race Options) and put yourself second or third. Then just keep behind the biker in front of you.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/24.jpg Failed cheater (Bronze Trophy (B))

During a Quick Race take a disqualification in Simulation.

Start a Quick Race in Simulation mode and make sure you enable penalties in the Race Options. Take a track with plenty of corners (I used Magny-Cours) and cut as many corners as you can, eventually you will get put into autodrive and the race will end. At this point you’ll unlock the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/25.jpg Mach 0.28 (Bronze Trophy (B))

In Simulation, reach 300 km/h with any bike on any track in any game mode.

You should earn this without even trying. If you are struggling, try to do this on tracks with long straights such as Monza.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/29.jpg Fashion victim (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win a Race Weekend in Simulation dressing your rider with the Milestone helmet.

Once you have unlocked the Milestone helmet go to the Riders menu, select Edit and then Helmet. It is the 20th one on the list so scroll across to it, select it and save the changes. Now all you have to do is win a Race Weekend (found on Simulation only). If you pick the track Magny-Cours and follow the line I take in the video below you can skip qualifying and go straight to Race 1, and go from 27th to 1st with ease.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ3xT62x3IE]YouTube- SBK X Superbike World Championship Magny-Cours Shortcuts[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/31.jpg Yes, weekend! (Bronze Trophy (B))

Race all seasons in any Simulation game mode during the same weekend.

This trophy can be earned during your main career mode attempt. I’d recommend doing it during your first season with the STK team as there are less rounds to do. All you need to do is set one lap time during each of the sessions on the weekend, the 2 free runs, the 1 qualifying run and the 1 warm up run. After this you can skip the rest of the time. Upon completing the race and ending the weekend this trophy will then pop.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/534/32.jpg Worldwide time (S)

In simulation beat all the track records on dry tarmac in Time Attack mode only with SBK class.

This is one of the harder trophies on this list. You need to set a record on all 14 tracks in simulation mode. Make sure you are using an SBK team and that the weather is on Sunny. There is nothing you can do but keep trying until you make the times. Make use of the engineer if you find a recurring problem in the setup.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/33.jpg Are you a pro? (Silver Trophy (S))

Win your first quick race in Simulation with opponents at Real level.

When you select Quick Race make sure you change the Race Options so that the AI are “real”. Make sure you set yourself as pole to start with and simply hold off for one lap and win. If you are struggling then follow the route in the video under Fashion Victim to give yourself the edge.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/39.jpg We are tired of your sim! (Silver Trophy (S))

Win at least one Quick Race with 100% race length in Simulation.

Start a Quick Race in Simulation and in Race Options put the length up to 100%. This is a total of 22/23 laps (depending on the course) so pick the track you like most, the shortest track or the track you do best (I choose Magny-Cours) and get racing.

Online Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/21.jpg Rookie of the lobbies (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win your first race during an online championship in Arcade or Simulation.

No longer possible due to server closure.

See The first in a long series.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/22.jpg Burn the chronometer (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win a Time Attack online in Arcade or Simulation.

No longer possible due to server closure.

This is different from the other online trophies. From the main menu go to multiplayer, select Time Attack and then Create Match. The minimum time possible is 5 minutes so select this then make sure the lobby is private. When you get into the track you have 5 minutes to produce your fastest lap. With your boosting partner simply take it in turns (one 5 minute session each) and set a fastest lap time and wait for the 5 minutes to end then swap over. Ensure your boosting partner does not produce a faster time than you during your turn as this trophy only comes at the end.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/23.jpg Quickly online (Bronze Trophy (B))

Win your first Quick Race online in Arcade or Simulation.

No longer possible due to server closure.

From the main menu go to multiplayer, select Quick Race (not Quick Search) and then Create Match. Choose the track you want then set the laps to 1, make sure the AI is off and the lobby is private. Once you complete the race this trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/38.jpg The first in a long series (Silver Trophy (S))

Win your first online Championship or Crew Championship in Arcade or Simulation.

No longer possible due to server closure.

From the main menu go to multiplayer, select Championship and finally Create Match. In the settings put the Privacy to Private and make sure the AI are off. To save time ensure you set the number of laps to 1. After this press :select: and create a password so that only your boosting partner can join. You will then see a list of 12 tracks. Using :triangle: you can remove all but 3. Now take it in turns to race the 3 tracks (you can do the same track 3x if you want). In winning the first of the 3 races you will get the trophy Rookie of the lobbies. After winning the 3rd race this trophy will pop.

Miscellaneous Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/02.jpg Do you remember Mister Macaco? (Bronze Trophy (B))

Create a rider called Mister Macaco in Arcade or Simulation.

From the main menu select Arcade then scroll across to Riders. Select this then press :square: to create a new rider. Enter a first name of “Mister” and a surname of “Macaco”. After you do that press :start: to confirm the creation (you don’t need to change any of the other details) and the trophy will pop. You will also get Nice to meet you at the same time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/05.jpg Nice to meet you (Bronze Trophy (B))

Create your first rider in Arcade or Simulation.

See Do you remember Mister Macaco?.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/18.jpg Have you ever watched them? (Bronze Trophy (B))

Watch the credits.

From the main menu select Arcade then scroll across to Extras. Select credits and leave them rolling. You have to watch them through completely before the trophy unlocks, so don’t back out or you will have to restart from the beginning.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/19.jpg Think for yourself (Bronze Trophy (B))

Watch a replay for the first time.

From the main menu select Arcade, then Quick Race (when here select race options and put the length down to 5% to do only one lap). Race through one lap then get through to the time results page. From here pressing :square: will let you access the replay. You don’t have to watch it through to get the trophy, simply press :square: and it should pop right after.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/20.jpg Money well spent (Bronze Trophy (B))

Thanks for purchasing SBK X.

The first time you start the game up, this trophy will pop after the first loading screen without you doing anything. Yes, it really is as simple as that.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/534/34.jpg Extra is more than "normal" (S)

Unlock all the Extras.

The extras can be viewed in the Arcade or Simulation section by moving across to the Extra tab and selecting Gallery. There are a total of 48 to unlock. If you go on to each it tells you the requirement to unlock them. The first 30 all have to do with winning a certain number of races with the three teams: STK, SBK and WSS. You will unlock all the secret ones as you play through the story mode and career. The only one which will be complicated is unlocking all helmets due to a glitch which makes unlocking helmet 5 impossible.

See this thread for details: LINK

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/534/40.jpg From Naples to London (Gold Trophy (G))

Ride for at least 2000 km in any game mode, in Arcade and/or Simulation.

2000km will work out to about 400-420 laps of the tracks in total. If you don’t get this trophy by the time you’ve finished all the other trophies, then start up a Quick Race on Arcade and set it to 5-10 laps and keep racing it over and over until the trophy pops. There does not seem to be a way to check your progress for this trophy.

  • 3 weeks later...

Very nice guide, it will be of great help now that I finally bought the game. :)

Does anyone know if there's a way to change your view? I'd rather race as if I were sitting on the bike.

EDIT: Nvm, I found the way to change your view  Just press :select:

I also hope that some day they'll release a patch to fix the item that won't unlock.
