WALKTHROUGH

Step 1) Story

Go through the story and enjoy the madness. You can play on any difficulty, there are no difficulty related trophies.

While playing through the main story, have a look at the challenges either ingame (:select: > Saintsbook > Challenges) or in this trophy guide with extra tips (“You're My Hero!” trophy).

There's at least 1 challenge you'll need to complete before finishing all 47 story missions. Else you'll need to complete this in co-op or via thefts. Read the "You're My Hero!" trophy for more info!

Also, before completing all 47 missions, see the "Hi-Jack It" (Vehicle Thefts) trophy. There's 1 theft (the N-Forcer) that might become a bit annoying to obtain otherwise.

You might also want to upgrade your weapons and buy property in the meantime. Not only will it raise your respect and profit per hour which will help a lot, it will also count towards a few trophies. Also, do not forget to cash in every ingame hour (10 minutes real time. Cell phone :select: > Cash). You can stack a few hours, but there’s a limit. (Which can be upgraded by playing/upgrades.)

If you see any collectible, pick it up. There's no need to keep track of which one's you've collected, since the collectible upgrade will show you exactly which one's you're missing.

You can also receive random phone calls. These are Survival calls. You might want to answer a few of them, because you need to do a total of 26. You can do them whenever you want, but if you need to wait for these calls it can take up quite some time.

Simply completing the main story will unlock:

  • (B)Dead Presidents
  • (B)The Welcome Wagon
  • (B)We're Takin' Over
  • (B)Tower Defense OR (B)Kuh, Boom.
  • (B)Gotta Break Em In
  • (B)I Heart Nyte Blayde
  • (B)kill-deckers.exe
  • (S)Titanic Effort
  • (B)Once Bitten... Braaaaaaains
  • (B)Murderbrawl 31
  • (S)Too Close to the Son OR (S)Gangstas... In Space!
  • (B)Opulence, You Has It

There are a few missions that end up in you having to choose between two endings. Most of the endings you can choose whatever you prefer, however, there are 4 story related trophies which unlock after choosing one of the options, 1 of which is missable.

Before completing the ‘The Belgian Problem’ mission, make a manual save. After completing this mission, you will either unlock “Tower Defense” or “Kuh, Boom”. Check both trophies in this guide for more info. (If missed, you can also do it in co-op mode. Check the co-op part in this roadmap.)

The very last mission ‘Three Way’ will unlock the “Too Close to the Son” or “Gangstas... In Space!” trophy. However, you’ll be able to replay this mission once after completing it. You’ll only be able to select the other ending.

After completing the main story, you’ll probably also obtain a few random trophies such as:

  • (B)Shake and Bake
  • (B)Ow My Balls!
  • (S)Gellin’ Like Megellan
  • (B)A Better Person
  • (B)Haters Gonna Hate

Step 2) Replay.

If you haven’t done so already, replay the ‘The Belgian Problem’ mission on the other save you made, (Be careful not to overwrite your existing save file though!) to unlock either “Tower Defense” or “Kuh, Boom” depending on what you’ve chosen before. (If missed, you can also do it in co-op mode. Check the co-op part in this roadmap.)

Also, you’ll be able to replay the last mission ‘Three Way’ once more. This time, you’ll only be able to choose the ending you haven’t chosen before, unlocking either “Too Close to the Son” or “Gangstas... In Space!”.

Step 3) Completion & Clean Up.

Now it’s time to tackle down all the other trophies. You should aim towards the “Bright Lights, Big City” trophy, taking over every district, which will unlock quite a few trophies. Completing all activities etc will give you quite a lot of money which will help you out with buying upgrades/properties etc. You might also want to obtain all 80 collectibles, which will stack up some nice money. You can use a guide, but the collectibles upgrade showing every collectible should be enough.

Before taking over every district, take a look at the "You're My Hero!" trophy! There are a few challenges you might want to complete before taking over all the districts.

After all this, there might still be a few random trophies left. These can also be completed after taking over every district.

Co-op)

You can obtain any trophy in co-operative mode. Also, if you've missed "Tower Defense" or Kuh, Boom." and you've got a partner that's about to play this mission, if he/she chooses the ending you haven't unlocked, you'll also obtain the trophy. If you don't have a partner, click here for the Co-op Partner Thread.

Heads up! If you play activities in someone else's game, you still need to complete these activities on your own. However, if you select the activities you played it will ask you to either: 1) Replay co-op mission or; 2) Skip. If you choose to skip, it will complete the activity and it might unlock other activities if you have done a few already. Credit goes to Marty84.

Cheats)

You can buy cheats in the PSN Store and you can also enter cheats via your cell phone (extra’s > cheats). Both of these options block trophies and will disable the auto-save feature. If you activated any cheat, simply reload the last (auto-)save.

However, at a higher Respect rank (45-50), you'll be able to upgrade a few abilities to level 4, which unlocks: Unlimited ammo, sprint, damage from fire/height/explosives/bullets etc. These won’t block any trophy nor will it disable the auto-save feature.

Here’s a breakdown of the total activities. See each district trophy for more info.

You’ll act like a human ragdoll. By pressing either :r1: or :l1:, you’ll drop to the ground. You’ll earn money by doing this. Get the money required before the time runs out. The fastest way is by throwing yourself at oncoming traffic. Use your analog stick to move around when hit, to chain together multiple hits from the same, or multiple cars. Move downwards, so that you’ll keep hitting the same car or multiple cars. Try to get your adrenaline bar full so you can chain together some pretty big hits. You can almost freely fly yourself. If you move to one of the blue targets, a circle will appear on your minimap. Stay in that circle to gain adrenaline faster. The circle will disappear after a while.

See the ‘Complete all City Takeover’ trophies for all the activities per district. If you can’t find an activity, you either need to complete more of the same activity, or check the map for a blue icon with a ‘?’, which is a hidden activity.

You need to protect the dealer while he’s going to do his business. He will drive the car, so you’re goal is to shoot when you get tailed. When the dealer gets to a spot, he will leave the car and make the deal. It’s best if you also leave the car to protect him. The dealer himself has quite a lot health, so don’t worry about it. Brutes might start to appear, you can kill them if you want, or wait for the deal to be done. When the deal is done, enter the car. Don’t worry about the gang members shooting you/the dealer, the dealer will enter the car also and drive to the next deal.

During the deals a few things might happen. It can happen the buyer will run away without paying, or starts to attack your dealer. Kill him/her. While driving, you might get chased by cops. You’ll need to take out the police car marked with a red health circle. There’s no need to destroy the other cop cars.

See the ‘Complete all City Takeover’ trophies for all the activities per district. If you can’t find an activity, you either need to complete more of the same activity, or check the map for a blue icon with a ‘?’, which is a hidden activity.

22.jpg  And Boom Goes the Dynamite (B)

Complete all instances of Heli Assault.

Total instances: 6

Statistics: Page 6

Icon: Heli (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

You need to defend your contact, marked with a green health circle in a car with your heli. Your contact needs to make a few stops and you need to defend him from gang members. Enemy targets appear as a red triangle on your minimap and also have a small red triangle above them. Aim your crosshair at a target to lock on (not available on hard instance). A green rectangle will appear. Once the rectangle is red, you’re locked on and ready to fire. Use :l1: to fire a rocket. If the enemy is close to your contact, you might want to be careful with rockets, since they can damage your contact, use the minigun fire, :r1: instead. However, the damage is minimal, so just keep an eye out on his health.

See the ‘Complete all City Takeover’ trophies for all the activities per district. If you can’t find an activity, you either need to complete more of the same activity, or check the map for a blue icon with a ‘?’, which is a hidden activity.

23.jpg  Fence Killa 2011 (B)

Complete all instances of Mayhem.

Total instances: 6

Statistics: Page 6

Icon: Explosion (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

The goal of Mayhem is to earn a certain amount of money before the timer runs out, with the weapons supplied. All weapons have unlimited ammo, so go nuts with whatever you prefer. The rocket launcher would be a good choice of course (this is only available at higher difficulties). Shoot anything you see and try to blow up as many vehicles at once as possible. Keep throwing grenades, while using the other weapons you have at your disposal. Upgraded weapons will also help out a lot. Try to keep you combo going for more money. Also, shoot at fences/building etc which might add up quite nicely. Be aware though, it can get pretty insane with gang members, swats, brutes, heli’s and whatnot all over the place.

The EASIEST tactic however, is to get yourself a tank or attack heli (VTOL) and park it close to the Mayhem activity. Start the activity and enter your tank or heli and start going nuts. With the VTOL you can rack up the total amount within a minute!

See the ‘Complete all City Takeover’ trophies for all the activities per district. If you can’t find an activity, you either need to complete more of the same activity, or check the map for a blue icon with a ‘?’, which is a hidden activity.

Complete all instances of Escort.

Total instances: 6

Statistics: Page 6

Icon: Heart (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

Driving a tiger around.

When driving with the tiger next to you, you need to keep your speed up to keep the tigers anger low. Just keep driving until the courage bar is filled. Be careful though, the tiger randomly attacks you, which causes you to lose control of your car for a moment. Stay away from the animal activists (dots with circles on the minimap), else the tigers rage will increase rapidly. If the tiger is at full rage, do a 1 second powerslide (hold :cross:) to calm it.

Driving a client around.

When picking up a client, you need to keep driving until the pleasure bar is filled. Keep an eye out on the the footage bar, when it's filled, you'll fail the escort. While driving, keep away from news vans, marked with a red triangle on the minimap. When you’re in the circle of the news van, the pleasure bar will stop to fill. Sometimes, your client will also ask you to complete a few tasks, such as powersliding, killing someone, damaging other cars, going to a brothel.

See the ‘Complete all City Takeover’ trophies for all the activities per district. If you can’t find an activity, you either need to complete more of the same activity, or check the map for a blue icon with a ‘?’, which is a hidden activity.

Complete all instances of Snatch.

Total instances: 6

Statistics: Page 7

Icon: Hat (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

Picking up Ho’s.

You need to pick up a certain amount of ho’s and drop them off at Zima before the time runs out. The ho’s are marked on the map as green icons. There are a few things you need to do before you can collect them though. Sometimes they’re guarded by 3-4 gang members, kill them first. Or you need to take out the vehicle they’re in. Once you’ve completed that objective, press  to whistle and recruit them. You don’t have to leave your car. They can either enter your car, or get a car of their own. Once you’ve collected the ho’s, drive to the blue marker on your map to drop them off.

Picking up Contacts.

Drive up to the contacts and press  to recruit them. Let them enter your car and drop them off. You might have to stop a vehicle and kill the driver first or kill a few gang members. It can get pretty messy, but just press  and wait for them to enter your car. Be aware of gang members trying to pull you out of the car. It shouldn’t be a big problem, but it can become quite annoying.

See the ‘Complete all City Takeover’ trophies for all the activities per district. If you can’t find an activity, you either need to complete more of the same activity, or check the map for a blue icon with a ‘?’, which is a hidden activity.

Complete all instances of Trail Blazing.

Total instances: 6

Statistics: Page 7

Icon: Fire (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

Quad race.

You need to drive through checkpoints on a quad before the time runs out. While driving towards checkpoints, hit as many people and vehicles as possible, which add extra seconds every time you hit a checkpoint. You can also come across small trails of fires on the ground. Hit these to shoot rockets that locks onto the nearest target.

Motor race.

Tron style! Race through the blue Decker targets, while trying to avoid fire walls. You need to hit the acquired amount of targets before the time runs out. The blue tanks will add 2 seconds. If you hit a firewall, you’ll lose 2 seconds.

See the ‘Complete all City Takeover’ trophies for all the activities per district. If you can’t find an activity, you either need to complete more of the same activity, or check the map for a blue icon with a ‘?’, which is a hidden activity.

Icon: Wings (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

There are only 2 of these. This will unlock by playing the main story missions. You’ll need to protect the marked target while flying in a helicopter. Lock onto your targets and shoot rockets with :l1: or use :r1: to shoot them with your minigun. Be careful with rockets close to your target.

28.jpg  Tank You Very Much (B)

Complete all instances of Tank Mayhem.

Total instances: 6

Statistics: Page 7

Icon: Tank (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

The goal of Tank Mayhem is to earn a certain amount of money before the timer runs out. It’s pretty straightforward and easy. Control your tank with both analog stick and shoot with :r1:. Shoot anything you see. Be on the lookout for high valuable targets for extra money. These targets are marked with a red health circle above their heads. They can be either vehicles or gang members. If you keep up your combo meter, you’ll get an extra bonus. If you have the required amount of money, you can continue if you keep the combo meter up, or don’t shoot anything to stop.

Complete all instances of Professor Genki's Super Ethical Reality Climax.

Total instances: 6

Statistics: Page 6

Icon: Genki/Cat face (If the icon is grayish, it means you’ve completed that instance.)

The goal of Genki is pretty simple. Earn the money required before time runs out and get to the exit. Just kill most, if not all the mascots you see. Beware of power ups. Shoot anything but the ‘Unethical’ panda power up, it will cost you money. Once you’ve got the required amount, you can kill the remaining enemies for extra money/respect, or sprint to the exit.

30.jpg  Everything is Permitted (B)

Kill all of the hitman Assassination targets.

Total assassinations: 36 (If you can't complete any more assassinations, you need to progress further in the story.)

Bring up your cell phone, go to the ‘Saintsbook’ and choose ‘Assassinations’. Open one and select it. Read the info for clues on where/how to find your target. Once a target has been selected, follow the blue GPS marker to the right location. If you enter the blue marked area, you'll get a notification saying to follow the contacts instructions. When you follow the instructions correctly, a white crosshair marker will appear on your minimap. Get to the target and take him/her out.

Targets and how to find them:

  1. Agnes
Go to a crib/store and get rid of all your clothes. (There’s a clothes store at the set destination.) She should show up pretty soon afterwards. (You can streak by pressing  twice. There's no need to however.)
  2. Alejandro
Get yourself a Luchadore vehicle (you might have one in your garage) and go to the destination.
  3. Almonzo
    Kill Luchadore gang members.
  4. Andre
Get to the set destination and start killing every ho you see. (Shooting everyone you see is a good tactic.) Wait for the Morningstar gang to show up and start killing them.
  5. Barry
Get yourself a heli (plane doesn’t work!) and fly to the set destination and land your heli.
  6. Bernie
Call the contact via the contacts on your cell phone and go to the set destination.
  7. Blaize
Get to the set destination and rob any store. You can rob a store by zoom aiming (hold :l1:) on the employee behind the counter. (If it’s your own store, walk out and walk back in to remove the police notoriety.)
  8. Brutus
Get to the set destination and walk the park without wearing any weapons.
  9. Chandler
Get to the set destination and stage an accident by getting run over by a car. (Either jump in front of a car or shoot one and wait for it to run you over.)
  10. Clovis
Get to the set destination and go to the Rim Jobs at the bottom of the district. Enter the Rim Jobs and add/change one part of your car.
  11. Danny
Go to the set destination and call the contact via the contacts list on your cell phone.
  12. DJ Enigmus
Get to the set destination and drive around while listening to the ‘K12’ radio station.

  36. Whitney
Go to the airport and get yourself a plane. Let the target enter your plane and fly high up and jump out.

Steal and deliver all Vehicle Theft targets.

Total Vehicle Thefts: 30 (If you can't complete any more thefts, you need to progress further in the story.)

Before completing all 47 story missions, or before completing the 'Condor' theft, check if you have a STAG N-Forcer in your garage or not (you should get one automatically by playing the story though). If not, obtain one via playing the main story, one from the park in the Downtown district (can't be done after all 47 missions have been completed) or via the 'Condor' theft and save it to your garage.

There's 1 theft ('N-Forcer') that requires you to obtain the N-Forcer and if you've completed all story missions, you need to get one from your garage. A few people don't seem to have it. If you're one of the unlucky one's, you'll have to play co-op with a partner who's progressed enough in the story for STAG to spawn. Get a vehicle there and save it. (Or start a new playthrough..)

Bring up your cell phone, go to the ‘Saintsbook’, and choose ‘Vehicle Thefts’. Open one and select it. Follow the blue GPS marker to the right location. Once there, drive around till a white vehicle marker will appear on the minimap. Get to the vehicle and steal it and bring it to the marked spot. Boats and heli's are always parked. Read the Theft info on where to find them. Boats are always in the water, so drive along the coast line. Some cars are parked, but most of them drive around. You'll get an instant 3 star police notoriety if you steal it. If you're having a hard time with the police/gang, remove the notoriety with one of your 'Contacts' on your cell phone. If you don't have any, you can buy them via the 'Upgrades' page.

The more you damage your vehicle, the less the payout will be. Just make sure you don’t blow up the vehicle. If you do however, the GPS will automatically set the area where you can find a new one again, or simply reselect the theft. Sometimes you'll also get a notification in the upper left corner saying the vehicle got destroyed. Simply reselect the theft.

32.jpg  Getting the Goods (B)

Find 25% of all Collectibles.

There are a total of 80 collectibles to be found. For this trophy, you’ll need to find 20 of them.

For more info, see ‘’Life of the Party‘’.

33.jpg  Life of the Party (S)

Find 100% of all Collectibles.

All you pretty much need to collect them all, is the ‘Collectible Finder’ upgrade for $49.500 at Respect rank 20, which highlights all the collectibles on the (mini)map. They are really easy to find and even have a glowing marker floating above them.

I advise you to use the Specter (STAG Hover scooter), unlocked late in the story. It's fast and it can fly and you also don't have to get off it, except for Photo ops and a few other collectibles. If you can't find a collectible, check on top of the roofs, or if it's close to a store, enter the store and search it.

If for some reason you don't want to buy this upgrade.. No seriously, buy it! No map needed! Or need visual aid, either use a Collectibles Guide or the following

Total Collectibles: 80

  • 20 Drug packages
  • 20 Money pallets
  • 20 Sex dolls
  • 20 Photo ops

Downtown: 17

  • 4 Drug packages
  • 4 Money pallets
  • 5 Sex dolls
  • 4 Photo ops

New Colvin district: 19

  • 5 Drug packages
  • 4 Money pallets
  • 5 Sex dolls
  • 5 Photo ops

Stanfield district: 21

  • 6 Drug packages
  • 5 Money pallets
  • 5 Sex dolls
  • 5 Photo ops

Carver Island district: 19

Complete your first Challenge.

See “You’re My Hero!

35.jpg  You're My Hero! (S)

Complete ALL Challenges.

There are a total of 41 challenges to be completed. (If you can't complete any more challenges, you need to progress further in the story.) To check your challenges, bring up your cell phone by pressing :select:, navigate to your ‘Saints book’ and open the challenges. Every challenge has a counter. Completed challenges will be grayed out at the bottom of the list.

Before completing these, try to obtain every other trophy first, since you’ll easily complete most of them, or at least gain a huge progress.

  • The challenge in red should be obtained before completing every story mission.
  • The challenges in orange can still easily be obtained after completing the main story. However, you might want to complete these before taking over every district, as it might become a bit tougher to complete. If you've already taken over every district:
    • Replay activities.
    • Some of the Survival calls.
    • Some of the Assassinations.
    • Some of the Vehicle Thefts.
    • There are still a few gang members walking the streets at random places.

[*]The challenges in green you should keep till last. Most of them should unlock naturally, while others can be done whenever you want.

Complete before finishing both endings!

You finish both endings by playing the last mission (called 'Three Way') twice.

  1. Stag commandos killed: 25
Special STAGS that require a few bullets more to kill. They wear orange armor. Should easily unlock through playing the main story. The enemies in the ‘Air Steelport’ mission are STAG commandos only.
If you haven't completed this challenge before completing both endings, you need to start up co-op and get it from there. There are also 2 theft missions ('N-Forcer' & 'Condor' that spawn STAGs. Keep killing them to get your notoriety up and wait for commandos to appear.

Even though most of these will probably complete naturally, keep an eye out on these challenges. These become a bit tougher if you don't obtain these before taking over all the districts.

  2. Gang members taunted: 50
See the "Love/Hate Relationship" trophy for details.
  3. Decker specialists killed: 50
Try to find Decker’s gang members or find a Gang Operation in the Stanfield district. They are the ones in neon blue. Kill them and wait for fast moving/teleporting girls to appear (they hang behind their cars). These are Decker specialists. They appear as a dot that hasn't been colored in on the minimap. Every time you kill a specialist, the game will notify you in the upper right corner.
  4. Luchadore specialists killed: 50
Try to find Luchadore gang members or find a Gang Operation in the Carver Island district. They are the ones in green. Kill them and wait for cars to appear. The guy shooting timed explosives (red indicators) all over the place and wearing armor is the Luchadore specialist. They appear as a dot that hasn't been colored in on the minimap. Every time you kill a specialist, the game will notify you in the upper right corner.
  5. Morningstar specialists killed: 50
Try to find Morningstar gang members or find a Gang Operation in the Downtown or New Colvin district. They are the ones in red. Kill them and wait for a heli to appear. The guy in the heli pointing a sniper laser at you are Morningstar specialists. They can also be on the ground, also aiming a sniper laser at you. They appear as a dot that hasn't been colored in on the minimap. Every time you kill a specialist, the game will notify you in the upper right corner.
  6. Kill brutes: 30
See the "Who Loves Ya Baby" trophy for details.
  7. Multi-kills: 500
The easiest way to get multi-kills, is by destroying cars with gang members in them. You can also quickly kill multiple people in a row. (Tank) Mayhem is also great for this. (Can also be done with zombies.)
  8. No-weapons kill: 25
Equip your fists or only use :r3: to kill gang members. (Can also be done with zombies.)
  9. Headshots: 500
Simply aim for the head. It usually kills them in one shot. (Can also be done with zombies.)
  10. Nutshots: 25
You need to kill someone by shooting his nuts. Can only be done on men. (Can also be done with zombies.)
  11. Grenade Kills: 50
Equip your grenades (hold :circle: and press ) and throw them with :r2:. There are a few activities that give you unlimited grenades, such as Mayhem.

Complete these as last, or while playing through the game.

  1. Hostage taken: 50
Find a car with at least 2 persons in it. Hijack the vehicle and press :triangle: when it prompts you for the Hostage mini game. You don't have to actually play it. Leave the car and find another one.if you hijack the car ‘bo-du-ken’ style, make sure you jump through the front window, as jumping through the left/right window will also kick out the second person. If you take hostage a car with multiple persons, every person will count as a +1 hostage. The highway would be a good place for this. Also, if you take someone hostage, you'll get a 3 star police notoriety. If you leave the car, it will drop back to 1. With police notoriety, it might become harder to check vehicles for multiple persons, since people will drive like a headless chicken.
  2. Store robbed: 15
Enter a store (green icons), go to an employee and aim your weapon at him/her. You need to zoom in, by holding :l1: and keep it aimed at the employee till he/she reaches the blue marker and you receive the money. That’s why it’s easier to stand on the right/left of the person, instead of facing him/her. Easiest done in stores you own. Robbing stores will add police notoriety. Leave the store and re-enter to get rid of the notoriety.
  3. Streaking time: 600 seconds
Go to the nearest shop or crib and remove all your clothes. Find a street with many people walking around and press  twice to start streaking. Run past pedestrians to shock the required amount before the time runs out. You can also shock people driving in their cars. You can't shock your own Saints gang members though. Once you have the required amount, a new timer and shock count start. There are a total of 6 levels. You don't have to complete all the levels though. All you need to do is streak for a accumulative amount of 600 seconds. (You can also get this together with the 'Vehicle Surfing' challenge. Start to streak, jump on a car and start surfing!)
  4. Vehicle surfing time: 600 seconds
Jump on a vehicle. Wait for it to move and press :triangle: when it prompts you to. Try to keep your balance as long as possible by moving the pointer left/right with the left analog stick. Try to keep it in the middle. (You can also get this together with the 'Streaking' challenge. Start to streak, jump on a car and start surfing!)
  5. Windshield cannon distance: 304 meter
Grab yourself a fast car and when at full speed, crash head on into a wall. Even better if you find a low wall you can fly over for a bigger distance, such as the walls on the big bridges. Don’t use one of your customized cars, since some parts can make it a bit more difficult. If you need more speed, go to a Rim Jobs and buy nitro. Or buy the 'Skill - Nitro' upgrade which gives every car in Steelport nitro.
A very easy way is to play the Insurance Fraud activity. While playing the activity, enter a car and ram anything you can, preferable anything not higher than your 'flight path', so you can rack up some distance. Insurance Fraud makes you more vulnerable and you should easily obtain this. (Thanks solracthesin.)
  6. Car torpedo total damage: 2000
Get in a car and get some speed. Jump out and make sure your car is able to hit something, such as a building, vehicles etc. If done right, you should see a 'Car torpedo' pop up in the upper right corner with a percentage. You can also set the car to cruise controls by pressing  and jump out and let it hit stuff on its path. A great place to get this is at the airport in the New Colvin district. Damaging planes will easily give you 80-130%! (Thanks HashSlingingSlasher)
  7. Wheelie distance: 3048 meter
Grab yourself a bike and push down the right analog stick to perform a wheelie.
  8. Vehicle mod spending: $20.000
Go to a Rim Jobs and spend a total of $20.000. It’s accumulative, so no need to spent it all on one car.
  9. Human shield used: 150
Walk up to somebody and press :triangle: when close to use him/her as a human shield. You can either throw them away with :triangle:, or use :r3: to snap their neck.
  10. Basejumps nailed: 15
Get up a high building or use a heli/plane to get high up in the air. Jump and activate your parachute by pressing :triangle:. Wait for the game to prompt you about a basejump. Press :triangle: to set a basejump marker. A random marker will be placed on the ground. You need to land in the circle. When close to the mark, pull back the left analog stick so you’ll almost fall down vertical. Use the helipad at the Saints HQ Crib for easy basejumps. Jump off on the left or right, since it's easier.
  11. Stoppie distance: 305 meter
Get on a bike, get some speed and hold :l2: and push the left analog stick forward to do a stoppie.
  12. Compliments paid: 50
Walk up to a Saints member or a rival gang member and press :right: to compliment them.
  13. Survival completed: 26
You'll get random phone calls. These are Survival calls. Answer them by pressing :triangle:. A blue marker will appear on the map, go there to play survival. You either need to defend yourself from waves of enemies for a certain amount of time per wave, or you need to kill X amount to advance to the next wave. If you haven't completed all of the survivals while playing through the game or just want to get done with these, just stand idle on the streets for about 3 minutes and you should get a call. It might be possible that you'll end up replaying a survival. If so, wait for a new call and it should be a new one. If not, just keep trying. (Note: You can't complete all 26 straight away, since one of the survival missions is versus zombies on the 'zombie island'. Which can only be done after the 'Zombie Attack' story mission.)
  14. Gang ops defeated: 32
See the "Flash the Pan" trophy for details.

Should come naturally, complete these last if needed.

  15. Shortcuts found: 50
When driving around, instead of using the road, use paths between buildings and wherever you can seem to drive. You’ll also obtain quite a few shortcuts by playing all the Trail Blaze activities.
  16. Big air distance: 1524 meters
The easiest place would be to use an open bridge between the districts. All open bridges lead to the Downtown district, so look there. Another good place would be the airport. Use the solar panels as ramps.
  17. People run over: 500
Vehicle + Sidewalk = Bloody Fun?
  18. Oncoming lane distance: 30480 meter
Drive on the wrong side of the road.. (The left lane for you Englishmen!)
  19. Powerslide time: 300 seconds
Hold :cross: when at speed in a vehicle. You need to powerslide at least 1 second for it to count. You can also keep down the gas and start spinning circles. It will slowly add 1-2 seconds.
  20. Two-wheel distance: 762 meters
Grab a car and go to a tunnel near you. The sidewalk in the tunnel is pretty high. Drive 2 wheels onto it and start driving. If you're fast enough, you can also get a two-wheel bonus while powersliding (hold :cross:) through corners.
  21. Hoods explored: 18
No actual exploring needed. This will unlock through playing the story.
  22. Near misses: 500
    Drive past other cars closely.
  23. Distance traveled: 762000 meters
Any vehicle will work.. Land, water, air.
  24. Cars destroyed: 300
    Any car will do..
  25. Helicopter destroyed: 60
The easiest way is to go to your Strong hold and spawn a helicopter. Destroy it and spawn a new one.
  26. Boats destroyed: 25
Buy the Rondini's Boat Dock crib (Downtown district), spawn a boat and destroy it.
  27. Tanks destroyed: 25
Go to your garage and spawn tanks when you're able to. Keep destroying them.
  28. Emus destroyed: 50
Emus are those small little ‘smart’ cars. (See the challenge picture.) Few of the Survival missions will require you to defend off waves of mascots. A lot of them will appear in Emus cars.
Another tactic. If you find one, before you destroy it, bring it to your garage or a Rim Jobs (and customize at least 1 part). Now go to one of your cribs and press :triangle:, go to your garage and spawn it. Destroy it and spawn a new one. Repeat.
  29. Mascots killed: 200
Mascots aren’t that easy to find in Steelport. You probably obtain most of the mascots kills through survival calls. You can also play Genki’s SERC, where you have to kill mascots.
  30. Carjackings: 250
You need to steal cars from others by pressing :triangle: or :l2:+:triangle:. Parked cars, gang cars, cars without people in it or entering the same car over and over doesn’t count.

Miscellaneous

36.jpg  Ow My Balls! (B)

Do your first nutshot AND testicle assault.

A nutshot can be performed by killing someone shooting at his nuts. You’ll get a small notification at the top right corner of the screen if you nutshot someone. This should come by normal play.

A testicle assault can be done by walking up to a person and by pressing :r3:, it will automatically perform a testicle assault. However, as with the nutshot, you need to kill someone. This is easily done by shooting someone a couple of times and finishing him off with a testicle assault.

37.jpg  Gender Equality (B)

Play for at least 2 hours as a male character AND 2 hours as a female character.

At the beginning of the game, choose the gender to your liking. Play through the story, or at least 2 hours (2 hours in real time). Once played 2 hours as male or female, go to the Plastic Surgeon ‘Image as Designed’. It’s a face icon on the map. Go inside and press :triangle:. You can change your character from here and also your gender.

You’ll have to pay $500, even if you don’t make any changes. If you buy the place, you’ll get a 10% discount. Also, if you switch gender, you’ll lose your current character appearance. So either save before changing gender, or even easier, upload your character. (Which will also unlock the "Jumped In" trophy if you haven't done so already.)

You can also play as a male and female on 2 different save files. (Thanks Tw1zTiD-MaFiA21.)

38.jpg  Bo-Duke-En (B)

Hijack 50 vehicles - Dukes style.

You can hijack a vehicle in 2 ways. Either by walking towards a car and pressing :triangle:, or the Duke style: Hold :l2: to sprint and press :triangle: to jump through the window. If done right, a ‘Bo-Duke-En’ pop up will appear in the upper right corner. You can keep doing this with the same car/group of cars if you like (Thanks Wozamil). However, this should easily unlock through the course of playing.

There’s also an ingame counter that keeps track of how many vehicles you’ve hijacked Duke style. It notifies you on the right of the screen with a progress bar every 10 cars. The statistics menu doesn’t keep track of this though.

39.jpg  Love/Hate Relationship (B)

Taunt AND/OR Compliment 50 gang members.

Try to obtain this trophy (or at least the taunts, which also completes a challenge) before taking over every district. Just like with a few other trophies/challenges, it can become tough to complete this afterwards.

Walk up to a Saints member and press :right: to compliment them. You can find most Saints members at/in one of your cribs.

Taunting seems to be glitchy. You need to taunt rival gang members that are in a none hostile state.

You can taunt them by pressing :left:. They will attack you afterwards. Before you can taunt any other gang member, you need to get your notoriety down, else they will instantly attack you when they see you.

A quick way to get the 50 taunts, it to get a gang notoriety of 3-5 stars. Get to a store or crib and enter it. It will get rid of the notoriety. Now leave the store and taunt a gang member. When they start to attack, simply enter the store again and repeat. You can't taunt the same gang member every time though.

If you already took over every district, replay a snatch mission and get a notoriety of at least 3 stars. Then press :start: and quit the mission. All the rival gang members and their cars should still be there. Kill them to get your notoriety back. Now drive to the nearest crib/store you own and use the same tactic as described above. A few assassinations/theft and Survival calls will also require you to kill gang members, which causes notoriety. You can also join a co-op game where (not all) the districts have been taken over.

A different not so fast tactic, is to find gang members walking the street. Taunt them and run away until you can't see the gang members red dots on your minimap. You'll lose your notoriety. Now search for more gang members and do exactly the same. This is however, very time consuming as you can only taunt 1, of if you're lucky 2, gang members because of the notoriety. If 2 walk side by side, aim so that you can taunt both by pressing :left: once. If they taunt you, quickly taunt them back and taunt a second gang member, since it will take a few seconds for the notoriety to appear this way.

Video by Wozamil

If you obtain this trophy, please check the challenges, because there's one that requires you to taunt 50 gang members AND compliment 50, because you may obtain this trophy before actually having the required amount of taunts/compliments given. You can compliment your own Saints, but taunting requires rival gang members, which becomes harder if you take over every district.

40.jpg  Gellin' Like Magellan (S)

Explore every hood in Steelport.

There are a total of 18 hoods. This will unlock while playing through the main story, so there’s no need to actually explore every hood.

41.jpg  Who Loves Ya Baby (B)

Kill 50 brutes.

Try to obtain this trophy (which also completes the Brutes challenge) before taking over every district. Just like with a few other trophies/challenges, it can become tough to complete this afterwards.

Brutes are those big masculine guys which require quite some ammo to kill. They also have a health circle above their heads. Once you take all his health, he will drop down to the ground and a :triangle: will appear above his head. Stand next to him and press it, to finish him. You can however, keep shooting him, but this might take longer. A (upgraded) shotgun does wonders. The easiest way would be to blow up the car he’s in before he jumps out. This will instantly kill the brute. You probably want to use a rocket launcher. Be careful though, there are brutes carrying miniguns and flamethrowers. Aiming for the head is the fastest, however, when a brute with a flamethrower appears, aim for the gas tanks on his back instead.

There’s a progress bar that keeps track on the right side of the screen. The stats menu on your cell phone doesn’t keep track though. (You can open your ‘Saints book’ and go to the challenges. One of the challenges keeps track up to 30 brutes.)

42.jpg  A Better Person (B)

Buy your first Upgrade from the Upgrade Store.

Every time you rank up in respect, upgrades will unlock, which cost money. Press :select: to bring up your cell phone and choose ‘Upgrades’. Choose one of the upgrades to your liking and upgrade it.

43.jpg  Haters Gonna Hate (B)

Kill 1000 Gang Members.

This will unlock well before you complete the main story. There’s an ingame tracker which notifies you every 100 kills with a ‘Haters gonna hate’ progress bar. You can’t track it via the stats menu on your mobile phone though. Only gang members count, killing police/STAG/pedestrians don’t count.

Fully upgrade one Weapon in each slot.

To upgrade a weapon, you’ll need to go to a ‘Friendly Fire’ store. Enter the store and press :triangle:. From here you can either buy weapons/ammo, or upgrade your weapons. If you don’t want to lose that much money, save before buying all the upgrades and reload it once you’ve gotten the trophy. However, upgrades are very useful and money shouldn’t be a problem (later on in the game).

Here’s a list of all the cheapest weapons to upgrade for each category. The total amount of money needed is $392.455. (25% discount has been applied!)

Upgrade one Stronghold to its full glory.

A Stronghold, or a crib, can be found on the map as a Yellow house icon. There are only 3 cribs which can be upgraded and unlock through playing the main story. Upgrade one of these 3 cribs.

Burns Hill reactors (Stanfield District).

  • Upgrade 1: $40.000
  • Upgrade 2: $80.000
    Total: $120.000

Safeword (New Colvin District).

  • Upgrade 1: $40.000
  • Upgrade 2: $80.000
    Total: $120.000

3 count (Carver Island District).

  • Upgrade 1: $80.000
  • Upgrade 2: $160.000
    Total: $240.000

Enter the crib. Once inside, press :triangle: to access the crib. Select ‘Stronghold customization’. The price is pretty high. If you don’t want to lose your money, save before upgrading. Once all upgrades have been purchased, reload your save (However, upgrading your crib will increase your District cash per hour, which in the long run, helps you out. Not to mention, all the other benefits).

Destroy all Gang Operations in Steelport.

(Before completing these, you might want to take a look at the challenges list, either in-game (:select: > Saintsbook > Challenges) or in this trophy guide at the "You're My Hero!" trophy for extra tips, since these can make other trophies/challenges easier).

There are a total of 32 Gang Operations in Steelport. Open your map and look for an icon with a fist on it. Once there, you’ll see a group of gang members with health circles above their head. Kill all of them and you’ve destroyed their gang operation. You can easily kill them in a matter of seconds by using a rocket launcher, airstrike designator or a tank for example.

The EASIEST way would be to spawn a VTOL, hover above the Gang Operation and you can kill them in a matter of second, which will also help with the multi-kill challenge. (Not to mention, if you stick around, you can get easy Brute and Specialist kills).

Some Gang Operations won't show on the map. If you buy most properties/complete activities, the map will turn purple. In the end, there will be parts of the map that are still grey but have no properties/activities etc. Check these locations for the last Gang Operations. You might have to look on the roof tops.

For visual aid, use this guide: Gang Operation Locations.

Gang Operations might also glitch. If you get near an operation and leave the circled area and go back immediately, the red health circles might disappear. If this happens, leave the area and get some distance from the Gang Operation. Go back and if the red health circle appear again, kill them. If you kill them while the red health circles are gone, it won't count as a destroyed gang operation and the enemies will keep endlessly spawning. Leaving the area will fix this.

47.jpg  Third and 30 (G)

Spend over 30 hours in Steelport.

Nothing much you can do other than just play the game. When going for the platinum, this should come along the way. You can check how long you’ve been playing by bringing up your mobile by pressing :select:. Go to extra’s, stats. It’s at the top of the first page.

Can be spread out over different save files (Thanks Tw1zTiD-MaFiA21).

48.jpg  Jumped In (B)

Create and share a character online.

(PS3 Only)

Note: The servers were closed down in 2018, thus you have to use alternate means to get this trophy so see here for details: LINK

After your first mission, you'll be able to create your own character. When you’re done, don’t quit right away, but choose to upload your character. If you skipped this, you can always go to a clothes shop or plastic surgeon and upload it from there (You don’t need the online pass for this).

50.jpg  Stay Classy Steelport (B)

Kill 25 Gang Members each with 'the Penetrator' AND the Fart in a Jar.

The penetrator is the large purple dildo, which you will automatically obtain later in the game. If you don't have it on you, go to a crib or a Friendly Fire and select it from there. To obtain the fart in a jar, you’ll have to upgrade your flashbang 4 times. You can’t actually kill people with the fart in a jar.

You can either use these weapons during missions, activities, gang operations etc. As long as they're gang members. Throw the Fart in a Jar first and then start to kill them with the Penetrator (You don't have to use this 'combo'. You can use whatever weapon you want instead of the Penetrator).

51.jpg  The American Dream (B)

Customize 10 vehicles.

Pick up any vehicle and drive to a ‘Rim job’ garage (Green icon with a wrench). When inside, press :triangle: to start customizing your car. You can either pimp out 10 vehicles to your liking, or add/change a 1 part of the car.

The cheapest and fastest way to do this is by going to a Rim job, go inside and press :triangle:. Select colors, body colors and hit :cross: to select a color. Buy it and leave the garage. There are plenty cars outside. This will only cost $50 per car, so a total of $450. (If you don’t count the first car you had to customize at the beginning of the game.) Also, there’s a challenge that requires you to spend $20.000 on customizing vehicles, so you might want to heavily pimp your vehicles and/or don’t reload your save. You can always keep this challenge as one of the last if you would like.

Also, try not to hit any civilians. If there’s a cop nearby, you won’t be able to customize your car because of your notoriety. If you happen to get notorious, simply drive until you lose the small shield in the bottom left corner. Or, if you own the Rim Jobs, leave the car and enter the shop to get rid of the notoriety.

Technically, isn't Mr. Fury Would Be Proud & Gangstas... In Space! missables too?

No, because you don't have to start a new playthrough. When you complete the last mission, it will prompt you to replay it again whenever you like :)

I've done about 150 car jacks and Bo-Duke-En still hasn't unlocked x.x.

Do you hold :l2: to sprint and then press :triangle: to jump through the window and kick the guy out?

Oh, I heard we get different unlockables depending on the ending we choose, I assume we can get both unlockables because of that?

I got Bo-Duke using the same small group of cars around me (plus one little motorcycle). I just rotated among them. I'm fairly certain that most of them were empty, btw.

*edit* I can confirm that you can jump in the same car 50 times to get this trophy. I did it with the very first car the game asks you to drive on a second account.

I seem to be having issues with Gender Equality. I started off as a dude, played for like 45 minutes, then switched to a chick and played for about 2.5 hours and now I've been a dude again for like 3 hours and no trophy. Is there a statistic or somewhere I can check my progress for this trophy?

Also is there free roam after completing the story? I assume there is but I want to confirm.
