Contemno Hominum
Gave it a 3. It seemed a lot harder than I remember it from the megadrive. There are a few precision jumps and the later level throw a fair amount of eneimes at you. A couple of the bosses can also be a little tricky. Without the save function it would be around a 9, but with it, the game is as easy or as hard as you want to make it.
blake307
I gave this a 4, it wasn't really that difficult if you used the save function.
MutableNando
I'm giving this a 2. It's a pretty simple, short game, and the ability to save whenever you want nullifies the challenge. It brought back some great memories for me though, this was one of the first 16-bit games I ever played!
Nickotin
Sweet game this, hope the original Shinobi makes it to the PS 3 also !
Gunnerkrazy
Voted a 2. They should have just let u save between levels. It's way to easy with this save anytime function, and it doesn't do the these classics justice.
mike20036
I gave It 2 because of the save state feature. And not to hard as well. But enjoyed playing this classic game again
homeslicer
3/10 abusing the game save plus the unlimted shurikans and lifes made it cake. the boss was simple with a pow and 2 magics.
BoBo_Thee_Clown
Gave it a 4 due to the save function though last boss can be a pain in the ass
superpj
I rate 1. With the ability to save anywhere, anyone can 100% this game without any trouble I can't believe this game was originally supposed to be played without save states because it's really really difficult ! I would've rated it 10/10 without a doubt. The games of the early nineties were a challenge, thanks god difficulty has been toned down since then. Francofone
Gave it a 3. Mostly easy other than a few bosses and I kind of messed myself up a bit because I didn't know that one of the Ninjitsus? takes lives away. I'm sure people that played it on the Sega and are familiar with this game shouldn't have any problems with it. loveaya
Gave it a 2/10. With Save/Load, everything gonna be easy.
Akari
I wanted to give it a 4 or 5 because there were a couple spots that annoyed me, especially because I could not double jump with any consistency, but I guess I really can't. 100 tries means nothing when each try is only 5 seconds. Voting 3.
Arturia
I gave it a 3, some parts were just a big pain in the arse like the final boss.
TheRealClayman
I found it to be a pain in the ass even with unlimited saving. And I screwed up and accidentally used my magic right be fore the last boss and saved instead of loaded like I meant to. 5 from me.
devlinholic
love this game when i was a kid I gave this a 2 if we are playing in our genesis days we just need a bit of warm up 4 if u guys/gals playing new this is the early days of ninja game n the beginning theme music never fails to get out of my head when i am hearing it
TmF1979
3. There are a lot of tricky spots, but the game really isn't that hard if you watch what you're doing and being able to save whenever you want is pretty much cheating. Having said that... I just got my 100% and this game is going in the "never fucking playing it again" pile.
nimrod
3/10 Some parts can be tricky, but if you use the save function at the start of each level and practice some, you can get trough the whole game without loosing a single life. They still require a lot of pratice tho, as there are many tricky parts where you have to time you're jumps and attacks and what not.
DonChipotle
il say a 3. the auto function is a relief, but even with that its not a relative easy game, you need to be careful in some spots and saving makoto without pow and ninjitsus is just brutal
Diamondbacker381
Game is pretty damn hard
SandeProElite
I gave this a 4. The hard part is the gold trophy for the final boss. You need to make it through the previous stage with a POW or else it'll be insanely difficult.
DPatriot
Rated it a 3. The save anytime makes it easy. Wonder how it would have been without it for completing the game without a continue
Joooooink
Gave this 3, since you can use save states it's more about patience then skill. Without this function I'd have to stick with 8-9:ish
GaF
3.5/10, I'll say a 4/10. A tricky one, you need to be careful everytime but quicksave helps a lot.
Kitsuna
Gave it a 3. It's definitely a difficult side-scroller with some fairly tight jumps and nasty enemy placements, but the quick-save function and the unlimited shuriken trick really mitigate the difficulty
