Introduction:

Welcome to the world of Resistance. This alternate version of the 1950s sees humanity on its last legs, on the brink of extinction thanks to an alien virus which turned the majority of humans into blood-thirsty mutated creatures known as the Chimera. The Chimera's sole purpose is to wipe the humans from the planet and claim it as their own. You step in to the shoes of Joseph Capelli, a dishonorably discharged former Sentinel and squad mate of Nathan Hale. Capelli has started a new life living in relative safety with his wife and child, until one day, a strange visitor arrives... This game has a wide variety of trophies ranging from combat-related, to mission-related, which makes up the majority of the list. For the most part, they aren't too hard, but can take some time. Your best path towards obtaining the platinum is split up into three steps:

Step 1: Normal Playthrough, Collecting Intel, Working Towards Combat Trophies, and Taking Down The Chapter Specific Trophies.

This step is relatively simple. Your main objective here is to complete the game on Normal difficulty, to unlock Superhuman. While playing through the game, be sure to get the "Archivalist"

(S) trophy for collecting all of the intel, and get as many of the combat related trophies as you can, such as "Access Denied" (B), "Warp Speed" (B), "Feeling Lucky, Punk (B), ect..... Don't worry if you don't get all of the combat trophies in this play through, because progress towards each combat trophy carries over through multiple playthroughs. During this step you are also going to want to go for the chapter specific trophies:

  • Short-Out (B)
  • Zookeeper

    (B)

  • Slaybells

    (B)

  • Bouncer

    (B)

  • Calm Under Pressure

    (B)

  • Snipe Hunt

    (B)

  • Roops!

    (B)

  • Frickin' Laser Beams

    (B)

  • Vehicular Manslaughter

    (B)

  • Hello Driver

    (B)

  • BARF!

    (B)

  • One Eyed Jack

    (B)

  • No Escape

    (B)

  • In This Together

    (B)

  • Good Fences

    (B)

  • Nothing But Net

    (B)

Do not worry if you miss one, as it can be done through Chapter Select.

Step 2: Superhuman Playthrough.

Your only objective for this step is to start a new game on Superhuman difficulty, and complete it to unlock the "Brutal"

(G) trophy. Don't worry about any combat trophies you may still need, just focus on getting through the game. Please refer to "Brutal" within the trophy guide itself for tips on surviving Superhuman if you need them. Once this is done, proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Clean-Up Via Chapter Select

Your goal here is to just clean up any trophy you may have missed throughout your 2 playthroughs. The 2 co-op trophies can be done here if you did your first 2 playthroughs in single player as well. Each trophy can be done through Chapter Select, so here all you need to do is go down the list and knock out any trophies you don't have. Upon completion of this step, the platinum trophy will unlock.

*NOTE* Cheat codes are available for unlocking through the Extras menu. Cheats such as "Infinite Ammo", "Health Regen", and "All Weapons" will disable the Brutal trophy, but not the other trophies. So if you are having a difficult time with any of the other trophies, you can turn on some of these cheats and make your life a bit easier.

Obtain all Gold, Silver, and Bronze Trophies for Resistance 3

Complete Campaign Mode on Superhuman

This is the most difficult trophy in the game. Superhuman difficulty is unlocked for you by beating the game on Normal, or Difficult. After you have it unlocked, simply complete the game to unlock the trophy. Superhuman mode is not terribly difficult, however here are a few tips to make your life a bit easier:

  • Weapon upgrades carry over through your playthroughs, so it may be a good idea to farm upgrades in your first playthrough, to make this playthrough a bit easier.
  • Make use of weapon's secondary fires. Each weapon has a secondary form of fire available by using the :r2: button. Although the ammunition for this may be a bit hard to come by, it is leaps and bounds more powerful than the standard fire.
  • Don't underestimate the Auger. This weapon can be a life saver. Its primary fire allows you to shoot through any form of solid matter, to hit your target. Its scope comes equipped with heat sensing technology, allowing you to see any enemies in the immediate area, regardless of what cover they are using. Its secondary fire disperses an energy shield that blocks any incoming fire (other than Auger bullets). This combination of abilities makes this one of your most valuable weapons when trying to survive Superhuman.
  • If you are ever surrounded by enemies, fire out a secondary fire shot (:r2:) from the Atomizer. This creates a black hole effect that shocks enemies and drags them towards it, which not only gives you the necessary breathing room, but also will more than likely kill whatever was mobbing you. This is easily the most effective method of taking out a horde of Grims that may be giving you trouble.
  • Shoot for the cooling unit. The yellow rods on the back of the standard military chimera (Hybrids, Longlegs) are highly explosive. One shot to the cooling rod and it will explode, killing the Chimera, and damaging any nearby enemies as well. If the heat stack is obstructed by some sort of cover, aim for the head. Some weapons inflict one-shot kills to the head, regardless of difficulty, so make use of that as well.
  • Don't waste your health packs. In this game, your health does not regenerate like most FPS games. Instead, to get your health back you must walk over a health pack, which takes the form of a small green vial. Health packs typically restore around 40% of your health, so picking one up when you only have 5% of health gone may become a problem if you end up needing the health later.
  • Whenever you have the chance, stay far away from the action. Use the Deadeye and the Marksman to take down enemies from afar, which puts you in far less danger.
  • Know what is necessary, and what isn't. Sometimes the game will simply want you to continue, whether you have killed all of the enemies in the area or not. If your next checkpoint or objective is open, don't waste time and energy killing Chimera that don't need to be killed.
  • Don't try to be Rambo. Stay behind cover and play carefully. Your health doesn't regenerate, so you can't afford to play recklessly.
  • Allow your allies to do as much work as they can. Whenever you have some other survivors in battle with you, chances are, they are invincible. They may not be the most effective when it comes to killing the Chimera, but they sure do a lot of work over time, and can greatly thin down the enemy forces. There is no shame in finding cover and allowing your team to kill off as many of the enemies as they can. They are here for a reason right?
  • Cheats such as "Infinite Ammo" and "All Weapons" disable this trophy, so be sure to turn those off before attempting this.
  • Make use of your environment. Setting off a chain of blast root explosions will kill off a group of enemies much faster than your gunfire can, so using blast roots as much as possible can save you a lot of time and trouble.
  • This can be done using Chapter Select. It is currently unknown whether the chapters need to be done in order, but the trophy can still be obtained by using the Chapter Select feature.
  • This can be done in Co-Op. If you are having trouble getting through the game solo, try playing it with a friend! However, inviting a friend while you are on the last chapter will not get them the trophy, they would still need to finish all of the chapters on Superhuman. You can see which chapters you have beaten on Superhuman through Chapter Select as well. Once a chapter is beaten, it will have a skull next to it.

Complete Campaign Mode on any difficulty

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. It will unlock upon completion of the 20th chapter. I would recommend starting on Normal, so that Superhuman mode is unlocked. If you are having a difficult time, please refer to "Brutal" for tips.

04.jpg  Master Mechanic trophy_silver.png

Fully upgrade all weapons in Campaign Mode

This trophy is fairly straightforward. Aside from the Sledgehammer, every weapon in the game can be upgraded. Upgrades are obtained by simply doing damage with the weapon. A weapon can be upgraded twice, and each time it gains a new ability or attribute. To make upgrading all of your weapons easier, there are a few things you should know.

  • Weapon upgrades carry over through playthroughs, so if you don't think you will be able to upgrade them all by the time you beat the game, don't worry, you can finish them on the next playthrough.
  • Like many trophies in this game, upgrades can be farmed at checkpoints. What this means, is that you can find an area with a lot of enemies, kill them all to increase your weapon's level progress, then die. Dying will respawn all of the enemies, but your weapon's experience will be kept intact, and the process can be repeated. By utilizing this trick you can easily and quickly upgrade all of your weapons.
  • Since a weapon's level is tracked by damage dealt, aim for headshots and utilize the secondary fire, because these do more damage than the standard fire.
  • In order to make this go as fast as possible, once you have a weapon maxed out, don't use it anymore unless it is desperately needed. Getting a bunch of kills with a level 3 weapon wastes a lot of potential experience that could be going to other weapons.
  • If you wish to grind this out, go to the Subway in New York. Several Ravagers and Grims here make for quick leveling.
  • Too see which guns have been, or need to be upgraded, simply hold :triangle: to open up the weapon wheel and hover over each gun. Its level and experience bar will be displayed in the center of the wheel.

Collect all journals

Journals are this game's form of collectables. There are 42 total which you must collect, and it can be tracked from the pause menu, or the extra's menu, under the "Journals" tab. They are hidden all throughout each level and provide bits of back story and information. The journals are split in to three types: Text, Audio, and Malikov. Any journals you may have missed can be found on subsequent playthroughs, or cleaned up via Chapter Select. Journals automatically save after picking one up, so feel free to quit to the menu after grabbing one. While playing Co-op, the host gets credit for journals found, the other player might not. The amount of journals in each region are:

Hey...Just a heads up for this trophy. I played the whole game co-op (online) and myself and my partner both received the trophy at the same time for collecting all journals. My partner was the host so I let him collect all the intel, never once did I pick one up.

Damage the same enemy in Cooperative Mode for 100 kills

This trophy must be done in either online or local co-op. While the description of this trophy may be a bit confusing, all this means is that both you and your partner must damage the same enemy before they die. It doesn't matter who deals the final blow, as long as both of you got a shot off on the enemy. Do this 100 times, and the trophy is yours. Like the other trophies, this can be farmed at checkpoints, or simply gotten by playing through the game. If done properly, this trophy should only take about 3 or 4 chapters worth of killing to unlock.

A very easy way to farm this is to load up Graterford, PA: The Pit, and work your way towards the Grim chamber. Once there, player 1 should stay up on the ledge, while player 2 goes down and spawns as many Grims and Leapers as possible. Once several enemies are on player 2, back him into a corner and spray with the cryogun's secondary fire. Now player 1 should use any weapon of their choice to shatter the frozen enemies, thus killing them. Now simply let player 2 die and repeat the process. It should only take a matter of minutes to get the trophy here.

Defeat the Stalker in under 60 seconds

Replay Chapter: Haven, OK: Death Squad.

Near the beginning of the game the Chimera will mount an assault on your town. After meeting with a few more soldiers at the bowling alley, you will go outside, kill a dozen or so Hybrids, and then the Stalker will arrive. To kill it you must first throw an EMP grenade to take down its shield, then hit it with all you have.

Try to tag it in the back with your Bullseye and shoot it from safety, or lodge all of your magnum rounds into its back and detonate them. After doing enough damage, it will put it's shield back up and you must hit it with another EMP grenade. There is more ammo and grenades on top of the building near the Stalker if you need it. After a little while longer, the Stalker will go down. This must all be done in under 60 seconds. I recommend doing this on easy mode to make this as simple as possible.

08.jpg  Zookeeper trophy_bronze.png

Kill the Brawler in Haven without taking any damage

Replay Chapter: Haven, OK: Main Street Defense

Once you hit Main Street, you will need to fight off a few waves of Longlegs, Hybrids, and Steelhead. After finishing them off, a Brawler will show up. The Brawler is a large Chimera who deals in primarily physical attacks, however he does launch air few grenades from a distance, and may throw vehicles. To ensure you don't get hit, stay far away from him and shoot him with long distance guns, such as the Marksman. Alternatively, you can get on the opposite side of the central building and shoot through it with the Auger for a fair amount of safety.

In order to damage this beast you need to shoot off his various pieces of armor. The armor which needs shot off will glow orange. Starting with his shoulder guards, to his gauntlets, then chest plates. Tagging these armor sections and shooting them with the bullseye will make short work of them. Shoot these off in that order and the Brawler will go down. If you did this without taking damage, the trophy will unlock. If you took damage, simply reload the checkpoint.

Destroy 100 blast roots

This trophy will likely unlock without even trying. Starting in Chapter 3, you will start to see yellow, glowing, bulbous plants that look like this:

eG5KxEZ.jpg

Credit to Combatting for this

These roots explode when shot, and cause chain reactions setting off any other blast roots within the area, which make these perfect for getting the "Opportunity Knocks" trophy. These will be found throughout the entire game, so don't worry if you miss a few. If you shoot every one of these that you come across, you will most likely have this trophy by the time you reach Mt. Pleasant. You can track your progress on this trophy from the Extras menu, under "Rewards".

Make Santa and his reindeer fly

Replay Chapter: Haven, OK: Escape to St. Louis

Near the end of the segment where you defend the boat while Malikov runs from the Goliath, Malikov will yell "Rockets incoming!!! Behind us!!". After hearing that, there will be a house off to the left side with Santa's sleigh and reindeer on the roof. Either shoot the blast roots near it, toss a grenade, or hit it with the shotgun's secondary fire, and it will fly into the air. After a few brief seconds, as long as the decorations are no longer still standing, the trophy will unlock.

If you are having trouble getting this, refer to the video below, courtesy of sunnygrg:

Keep Chimeran forces from entering the Brewpub

Replay Chapter: St. Louis, MO: Destroyed City

After working your way through St. Louis, you will come to a few survivors protecting their VTOL aircraft. Help defeat the Chimera around there, then go down and talk to them. Seconds later a group of enemies will ambush you and you will be introduced to a new enemy, the Ravager. Kill this wave of enemies, then head inside the pub. Now you must head up stairs and prevent and enemies from entering the doors. The first set of enemies will approach via dropship from the south. After killing them all, more enemies will come from the west. Kill them also, and the assault will stop. Provided no Chimera entered the pub, your trophy will unlock here. There are a few tips that are sure to make this easier:

  • Attempt this on Casual to give yourself the highest chance of success. No need to make it harder than it needs to be.
  • There is plenty of sniper ammo on the second floor, meaning you should be using it almost exclusively. The secondary fire should be saved for when the ravagers begin charging, because the rest of the enemies will go down from a single headshot of regular fire, but the ravagers won't.
  • Shoot a Marksman turret :r2:, down near the doors. This will shred any approaching Chimera with ease.
  • Should too many Chimera get close to your doors, shoot out the secondary fire of the Atomizer near the entrance. This will suck in all of the surrounding Chimera, and keep you safe for a little while longer.

12.jpg  Calm Under Pressure trophy_bronze.png

Defeat the Brawler in the Post Office in under 2 minutes

Replay Chapter: St. Louis, MO: Sewers

After defending Brewpub, you will follow your alleys down in to the sewer, then you will emerge inside a wide open area in the Post Office. Here a Brawler will spawn and begin attacking you, and some hybrids will show up on the second floor. It's up to your whether you want to take out the hybrids or not. They shouldn't cause too much of a hassle, but it will eat up your time, so I'd suggest leaving them.

The strategy for the Brawler is the same as before, simply shoot the parts of its armor that are glowing orange. It's best to do this on Casual, so that it dies easier, and deals less damage to you. Use all of your grenades to make him go down as quickly as possible. The Deadeye, Marksman turrets, and Atomizer will do a lot of damage as well. Once the Brawler is dead, if done in under 2 minutes, the trophy will unlock. If not, reload the chapter and try again.

Collect all Deadeye rifles without dying while fighting the Widowmaker in St. Louis

Replay Chapter: St. Louis, MO: Widowmaker

After dropping down from the gondalla to fight the Widowmaker, there will be 3 sniper rifle hidden around the area that you must pick up without dying. In order to pick up the Deadeyes, you cannot have full ammo, that means the infinite ammo cheat will prevent you from getting this. If you have full ammo without the cheat, simply fire off a shot or two, reload, then pick up the rifle. They are found as follows:

  • As soon as you regain control of Capelli, take the bridge to the left, and follow this path until you see a dead body. Near there is a refrigerator and the body of an elderly woman. The first sniper will be near her body, up against a wall.
  • Beneath this room is a basement area that is filled with Leapers. Kill the Leapers and the Deadeye will be there on the ground.
  • Head north up the stairs, and across the bridge, up some more stairs, and follow the path until you reach an open rooftop. Once in this area, there will be a platform in front of you. Head on up to the platform and use the zipline. This will take you to a small platform above where you began, with the final Deadeye and some health on it.

This must be done without dying. If you die before grabbing all 3 snipers, you will need to restart the chapter. Please see the video below by sunnygrg, for more help:

Knock a Hybrid off the cliffs in Mt. Pleasant, PA

Replay Chapter: Mt. Pleasant, PA: Cliffs

After clearing the first set of caves/mines, you will reach another outside area with more snipers. The entire left side of the area is a sheer cliff. First you need to lure a chimera over there, then use either a melee, or a shotgun blast to send him flying over the edge. Should that fail, and the dead Chimera doesn't go over the edge, simply melee the dead Chimera's body over the cliff edge and that will count as well.

Get to the first mineshaft without being hit by sniper fire in Mt. Pleasant, PA

Replay Chapter: Mt. Pleasant, PA: Forest

After defeating your first Widowmaker, you will arrive in a forest area of Mt. Pleasant. A small cutscene will take place showing you several Chimera with cloaks and laser-sighted Deadeyes. Your goal is to get past this entire area, without taking a single shot from one of the snipers.

As mentioned before, the snipers all have laser sights on them, so not only can you tell where they are by tracing the lasers back to their point of origin, but also you can tell whether or not a Chimera has you in his sights, which will be a signal to you letting you know to get to cover. You can use any combinations of weaponry to take out the snipers, but the most effective method is to either snipe them yourself, or to pull out the Auger and shoot them from cover.

A few tips to keep you from getting shot:

  • Never walk through the center of an area, always keep to one side. This makes it so you only need to watch one direction and don't need to worry about getting shot from both sides.
  • Once you are in an area that is fairly safe, pull out the Auger and scope out the area. The heat-sensing from the Auger allows you to see the Chimera even though they are cloaked, which gives you the advantage of knowing where they are beforehand.
  • Stay out of the water. Your footsteps make noise walking through water and draw attention to you.
  • It isn't wise to try and sneak through the area. You're much better off killing the snipers before they can kill you.

There are 8 snipers in this entire area. Here is the path I took for this trophy:

  1. Follow the right side of the wall until Malikov mentions something about scolding you for your senseless action. There will be a large rock in front of you. Use the Auger to kill 2 snipers perched on top of it.
  2. Walk around the rock, keeping close to the edge so you don't touch the creek. There will be a tiny waterfall on the creek just past where you are walking. Cross the creek right on the top of the waterfall and press up against the rock on the side. Using the Auger, look Southeast, and you will see a Chimera. Use the Auger to take him down.
  3. Look southwest and you will see a small bridge going over the creek. Walk over and stand on top of the bridge. Look to the west with your Auger and you should see another Chimera's heat signature. Kill him with a few shots from the Auger.
  4. Head south, up a small hill, and into a small cabin. Go in to the top right corner of the cabin, between two windows, and crouch down. Pull out your Deadeye and kill the Chimera directly southwest from your position. After he is dead, aim slightly more to the left and you should barely be able to make out another sniper. Kill him as well.
  5. Un-zoom and back up along the left wall of the cabin, until you are next to a closed door. Zoom back in and look directly west and you will see another sniper waiting to be picked off. This sniper moves back and forth between places, so if he isn't there, wait a moment and he will come back. Kill him.
  6. Now you will want to leave this cabin via the door on the right side, and run to the next cabin, which is in the west direction. Be careful to avoid dropship fire. Walk up to the top-right window inside this cabin and you should be able to see the final sniper while looking northwest.
  7. Once he is dead, now you can make a dash for the cave entrance. No more snipers can hit you. Once you enter the cave and drop down to the floor below, a checkpoint will trigger and your trophy will pop, provided you didn't get hit by a sniper.

Destroy 10 Warden vehicles while on the train

Replay Chapter: Mt. Pleasant, PA: Train Defense

After defeating the giant Chimera in the coal mines, you will gain access to a train. Once the scene ends you will be given the task of protecting the train from hijackers driving jeeps. You can use any method you want to take out the jeeps. The most effective methods are:

  • The Wildfire; lock on to them then fire the missile for an instant kill.
  • Secondary fire of the Deadeye. While you do need to aim this one yourself, it is almost always a 1-shot kill on the vehicles.
  • Secondary fire of the Rossmore or Carbine. Both of these shoot out grenades, so 1 or 2 of these on the vehicle, and it is toast. Alternatively, you can use a full clip of the carbine's primary fire on one vehicle and it will destroy it as well.

It is important to know that these 10 vehicles destroyed does not need to be in a single run. You can kill 5 in one playthrough and comeback on the next playthrough, or through chapter select, and clean up the remaining ones. Alternatively, they can be farmed. Blow up 2 or 3 of them, then let them kill you. The progress towards the trophy will be saved, and the vehicles will respawn. Whichever way you choose to do it, the trophy will unlock once 10 vehicles have been destroyed. The progress towards this trophy can be tracked via the Extras menu, under the tab: "Rewards".

Kill 5 drivers without destroying their vehicle

Replay Chapter: Mt. Pleasant, PA: Train Defense

After defeating the giant Chimera in the coal mines, you will gain access to a train. Once the scene ends you will be given the task of protecting the train from hijackers driving jeeps. Now, instead of destroying the vehicles, you should use the Carbine, Deadeye, or Marksman to shoot the driver, not the vehicle. Simply wait for the vehicle to come into range, headshot the driver, and the vehicle will crash itself. Rinse and repeat until you have 5.

You don't need to get all 5 in one session. You could get 3 on your first play through, then 2 more on another playthrough or through chapter select, or any combination. It won't have any effect on the trophy. You can also farm this at checkpoints. Kill 2 or 3 drivers, then allow them to kill you. Your progress towards the trophy will be retained, but the drivers will respawn. Either way, once you have killed 5 drivers, the trophy will unlock. You can track your progress through the Rewards tab of the Extras menu.

Make 6 Wardens puke at the same time in the prison

Replay Chapter: Graterford, PA: Cellblock A

Right after you obtain the mutator and are released, you will kill 3 guards, and enter a room where your new friend will tell you about the mutator's secondary fire, and you will pick up 2 of them. Head in to the next area, where 4 men are on the ground floor talking to eachother. Walk a little further and 2 more will come out of the door on the floor above them.

Now what you need to do is shoot your Mutator's secondary fire ( :r2: ), at the pillar holding up the second level. You need to shoot it so that it hits the middle of the pillar so the cloud infects all 6 of the Wardens. If you shoot it too high, only 2 will puke, and too low, only 4. So make sure you practice the heighth a few times. If you shoot the cloud and you don't get all six, then let them kill you and you can try again. After a few tries to perfect your aim, this trophy will unlock. This will be easier to do if you have a level 3 mutator, as the poison cloud's radius is larger, but it can still be done with a level 2.

It can also be done using two shots from the secondary fire, as long as you fire the second as quickly as possible so that the barfing is still simultaneous. Shoot one at the group of four, then the second one at the group of two. This should make it easier if you are having trouble hitting all six with one. Alternatively, this can be done in the Cafeteria area in Graterford as well, as soon as you enter the area, launch the secondary fire to the far side of the room, through the door and you will easily hit 10+.

Find and kill 'Jack' in Graterford Prison

Replay Chapter: Graterford, PA: The Pit

After dropping down in to the pit you will need to progress through it a bit. Once you are near the exit (before picking up the cryogun, after killing some Grims and Leeches.), there will be a small dead-end path on the left side. Go down this short path and look left again to see a small jack-in-the-box, with an eyepatch on it. This is one-eyed Jack. Shoot it a couple of times and the trophy will unlock. For a more direction, see the video below:

Destroy all Warden vehicles in the Motorpool

Replay Chapter: Graterford, PA: Motorpool

Near the end of the prison level, you will find yourself in the Motorpool, where the Chimera and the Wadens are fighting each other. You need to take this opportunity to do a little sabotage. The buildings in this area will have the Warden's vehicles just sitting there waiting for a little destruction. The area contains 5 vehicles. 3 jeeps, and 2 armored trucks.

The first building on the right contains 1 jeep. Destroy it with whatever type of firepower you please. The building in the northwest corner houses 2 more jeeps. Head east from there, in to the next building, where 1 armored truck sits raised above the ground. This one will take quite a bit more damage, so I suggest shooting the Wildfire, using grenades, or the secondary fire from the Carbine. From this building head southeast into another small building housing another armored truck. Take this one out just like the others. Upon destroying this last vehicle, the trophy will pop.

Defeat the Widowmaker in Times Square without killing a single Hybrid

Replay Chapter: New York, NY: Times Square

Here in Times Square, you will encounter your second Widowmaker fight. Fortunately, this Widowmaker is feral. That means its tries to kill everything in the area, including other Chimera. The other Chimera will focus fire on the Widowmaker, unless you get to close to them, then they may turn on you. In order to unlock this trophy, you need to kill the Widowmaker without killing any of the "allied" hybrids. Aside from that, this battle is identical to the previous Widowmaker battle. Shoot it in its weak spots, which will glow orange. After you destroy the first two weak spots on the top of its head, two more will appear on its neck. Use weapons like the Deadeye, Marksman, and Bullseye to take them down quickly.

Finally, one more weak spot will spawn on its underside. Again, use precision based weapons to stay out of the fray and take it down from afar. After this final spot is destroyed, the Widowmaker will die. Be careful not to use any area of effect weapons, like the secondary fires of the Atomizer, Marksman, Rossmore, or Wildfire. Even if it isn't intended, any of these secondary fires may have a chance of killing one of the hybrids, thus locking you out of the trophy.

Don't allow any counter-attackers into the Washington Square base

Replay Chapter: New York, NY: Washington Square

Once you get to Washington Square you will need to battle your way into a small Chimeran base structure. Once you have cleaned out the base and successfully infiltrated, the Chimera will launch a counter-attack to try and reclaim it. You cannot let a single Chimera re-enter the base. If a drone flies over the top of the walls and gets inside, it will not negate the trophy, it only applies to the ground forces. First, one wave of enemies will attack the northern side. Dispatch them without letting them break down the wall, then another force will attack the west side. Take them down also, and as long as no Chimera stepped foot in to your base, you will unlock this trophy. Here are a few tips that may make it easier.

  • As soon as the Chimera arrive, hit them hard with your long distance weapons, the Deadeye and Marksman. A single headshot with the Deadeye will take down a Hybrid or Steelhead, so only use the secondary fire when the Ravagers show up. Try to take as many of them out from a distance as you can.
  • If enemies get close to your base, shoot down a Marksman turret or two. These will shred through opposition with ease and keep your gate safe. However they have a fairly small lifespan, so don't rely on them to heavily. Alternatively, you can send out a secondary fire shot from the Atomizer, which will create a black hole effect sucking in any nearby enemies. Both of these will effectively take out any Chimera getting too close to your base.
  • Should your gate get breached, don't worry! As long as no Chimera have entered, you can jump down to the breach, step on through and create a makeshift last line of defense. Using weapons like the shotgun to know the enemies down, or the cryogun to freeze them in place, you can safely continue to protect your base from the outside.
  • Although drones do not count as enemies getting in to the base, don't ignore them. They will deal constant damage and interruption to you while you are trying to stall the forces on the outside. It is best to kill the drones quickly before they can become a hassle.
  • ALWAYS place priority on the Ravagers. These guys no nothing other than "charge" and will tear down your defenses in seconds if you ignore them. Use the secondary fire of the Deadeye to make short work of them.
  • Attempt this on Casual difficulty, so that it isn't harder than it needs to be.

Get a kill with every weapon in your arsenal

This will almost unlock automatically. Simply get a kill with each of the 12 weapons in the game. The final one for this trophy will be the Mutator, so this will unlock in the early stages of Graterford, PA. This will unlock without a doubt on your way to "Master Mechanic". If you would like to see which weapons you may not have gotten a kill with, from the main menu select "Extras" then Rewards. Press :r1: or :l1: until you come to the campaign menu. This will show how many kills you have with each weapon.

24.jpg  Overload trophy_bronze.png

Use the EMP to take down 10 Steelhead Auger shields

The EMP grenade will be the first grenade you receive. All you need to do is play through the game until you find some Steelheads (Auger wielding Chimera), wait for them to put a shield up, and toss an EMP grenade at them, and their shield will go down. If you have more EMP grenades, you can wait for them to put up another shield and do it again. This trophy can be done at any time throughout the game, as it carries over across all playthroughs and chapter selection. Alternatively, like all combat trophies, this can be farmed at a checkpoint. The best place to do so is the chapter: Haven, OK: Run! Wait until the game first introduces the Steelheads. 2 of them will come out of a building, and likely both put up shields. Toss an EMP at them to take out both shields, then let them kill you.

Your trophy progress will be retained, and the enemies will respawn, allowing you to repeat the process until you have unlocked the trophy. The progress towards this trophy can be track through the Extras menu, under the tab for Rewards.

25.jpg  Cheap Shots trophy_bronze.png

Kill 25 enemies firing the Auger through an object

This trophy will come naturally by playing through the game normally, as long as you make regular usage of the Auger. The Auger, which is first received in Chapter 3, has the special ability to tunnel through solid matter and hit your target through any form of cover. All you need to do is kill 35 enemies by shooting through any type of object (wall, shield, ect...). This trophy can be done at any time throughout your playthroughs, as it will carry over between everything campaign related, so you don't need to rush this. Or it can be farmed at any checkpoint. Simply pull out your Auger, kill a few enemies by firing through a wall or your shield, then let them kill you. Your trophy progress will save, but the enemies will respawn, allowing you to repeat the process until the trophy unlocks.

You can track your progress for this trophy through the Extras menu, under the Rewards section.

26.jpg  Grenadier trophy_bronze.png

Kill 3 or more Military Chimera with a single Grenade

This will likely be the first trophy you get. The first place you can get this trophy is right at the start of Chapter 3: Haven Outskirts, you will be in a building without walls, and a dropship will come and drop off 7 or 8 Chimera. Simply throw a shrapnel grenade into the mob, which will more than likely kill 5 or 6 of them. After that, your trophy will unlock. There will be untold amounts of opportunities to get this trophy, so don't worry if you miss it here.

Note that this says "Military" chimera, meaning it will not work if you kill 3 Grims, or Leapers. The must be Hybrids, Longlegs, Steelheads, or Ravagers.

27.jpg Raining Limbs trophy_bronze.png

Kill 25 Grims using only grenades

Grims are first introduced in the chapter: Haven, OK: Flooded Town. This trophy is very simple, just kill Grims, using only your grenades. This will come naturally as you play the game, since grims appear in so many places. This also carries over through chapter select, and any subsequent playthroughs. The best checkpoint to farm this trophy would be Graterford, PA: The Pit. After progressing through the pit a bit, you will pick up your cryogun. A little further down the path and you will drop in to a circular chamber that will spawn a large quantity of Grims and Leapers. Simply wait for the Grims to spawn, bunch them up, and throw a grenade in to the crowd. This will likely kill 5 or 6 at once. Another wave of Grims will rush in next and you can bunch them up and grenade them again. Now allow the remaining Leapers and Grims to kill you. Your progress will be saved, but all of the Grims will respawn and you can repeat the process.

You can track your progress towards this trophy through the Rewards tab under the Extras menu.

Detonate fallen Leeches to kill 25 enemies

Leeches are essentially Grims that glow a neon green color. Shoot them in the legs and they will fall over and swell up. Now you need to wait until enemies come near the fallen leech, and shoot it to detonate it. Leeches are first introduced in Mt. Pleasent, after agreeing to go find Johnathan, in the chapter Mt. Pleasant, PA: Meet Jane Rose. Your progress towards this trophy will carry over through all playthroughs, and chapter select. It can also be farmed at checkpoints.

The best checkpoint to farm this trophy would be Graterford, PA: The Pit. After progressing through the pit a bit, you will pick up your cryogun. A little further down the path and you will drop in to a circular chamber that will spawn a large quantity of Grims, Leeches, and Leapers. Jump down in to the area and wait until the first set of Leeches to show up. Shoot one of them in the legs a few times to knock it over, and bring your large horde of Grims near the corpse. Once they are bunched up around the fallen Leech, shoot it to detonate it and kill all of the Grims around it. This will typically rack you up 4 or 5 kills. Wait a brief moment and another wave of Grims and Leeches will arrive, and you can repeat the process. After that wave, simply let the remaining enemies kill you. Your trophy progress will be saved, and all the enemies will respawn, so you can do it again.

You can track your progress towards this trophy through the Rewards tab under the Extras menu.

29.jpg  Bloodborne trophy_bronze.png

Kill 3 enemies simultaneously using a single mutated body

This must be done using the primary fire of the Mutator, which is first found in Graterford, PA. Using the primary fire of the Mutator causes a single enemy to mutate, and eventually explode, causing damage to any enemies near by. To unlock this trophy, you need to kill 3 enemies at the same time with the explosion.

A good place to get this trophy is at the Graterford PA: The Pit checkpoint. Soon after picking up your Cryogun again, you will drop in to a circular chamber that will fill up with Grims and Leeches. Shoot the first Grim you see, and with a little luck, he will run in to the crowd and kill 3 other Grims with his explosion. Soon after that, your trophy will unlock.

It is important to note that the explosion must be natural. Do not shoot the body to make it explode, and try not to let the enemies shoot them either. For that reason, it may be a good idea to try it on Grims, as they cannot shoot them down.

30.jpg  Grasshopper Unit trophy_bronze.png

Kill 5 Longlegs in mid-jump

This will be one of the first trophies you unlock. At the chapter Haven, OK: Junkyard Defense, you will first be introduced to Longlegs. The best way to do this is to tag a Longlegs when he lands using the Bullseye, wait for him to launch back up into the air, then begin to fire. Because the tag is still on him, all of your shots will go to him and he will die while in the middle of his jump.

Alternatively, you can shoot one with your Magnum, wait for him to launch back in to the air, then detonate the round. Simply do this for 5 Longlegs. Longlegs will continue to show up throughout the entire game, so you don't need to worry about farming this. You can track your progress through the Rewards section under the Extras menu.

31.jpg  Sandman trophy_bronze.png

Kill 5 Grims in a row using only headshots

This trophy is most readily available in the Trainyard of St. Louis, MO. Once you enter the warehouses, there will be dozens of Grims. To get this trophy, all you need to do is kill 5 grims in a row with only headshots. It is best to use the Marksman for this, because it is accurate, and a single burst to the head will instantly kill a grim.

This needs to be in a row, so if you kill 4 in a row with headshots, then kill one from a shot to the torso, your counter resets. Because of that, it may take a few tries to execute. If you miss it here, you can either come back on another playthrough, or through chapter select. It can also be done with relative ease in Mt. Pleasant, PA, and Graterford, PA, because they also have large quantities of Grims.

32.jpg  Body Count trophy_bronze.png

Kill 1000 enemies

This will definitely come by just playing the game like normal. There are well over 1000 enemies in the game, so this trophy will likely unlock late into Graterford, or early in New York. If for some strange reason this doesn't unlock by the time you beat the game, you can continue your kills on a new game, since they carry over. You can monitor your progress from the Rewards section of the Extras menu.

33.jpg Juggler trophy_bronze.png

Simultaneously burn, freeze and poison 4 separate enemies

This trophy is a bit of a hassle. It sounds simple enough, but has been causing people problems. Simply put, you need to burn enemies using either the upgraded Rossmore or molotovs, followed immediately by freezing them with the Cryogun, and then poisoned with the secondary fire of the Mutator. The effects do not need to be done in this order however.

The best area to attempt farming this trophy is Graterford, PA: The Pit. After progressing through the pit a bit, you will pick up your cryogun. A little further down the path and you will drop in to a circular chamber that will spawn a large quantity of Grims, Leeches, and Leapers. As soon as the Grims spawn, freeze them with the cryogun, instantly pull out your Mutator and shoot its secondary fire into the group, then either throw a Molotov or switch to the upgraded Rossmore and use its Incendiary Grenade. If done properly, it may register. Now let the enemies kill you and try again. It will take several attempts to get this trophy. You can track your progress through the Extras menu, in the Rewards section.

If you'd like to try an alternate method, load up New York, NY: Subway. You will come to a room with several Grims and 4 Ravagers. Ravagers have a large amount of health so they are sure not to die mid-punishment. So walk up to the Ravager, freeze him with the Cryogun, let him unfreeze a bit then hit him with the secondary fire of the mutator, and finally, molotov or shotgun fire until he is dead. This should count as 1 towards your trophy. Now, if you are out of ammo you can either use the Infinite Ammo cheat, or let the enemies kill you and try again.

For another alternative method, see this video, courtesy of sunnygrg:

34.jpg Nothing But Net trophy_bronze.png

Score a basket by lobbing a grenade through a basketball hoop

Replay Chapter: St. Louis, MO: Widowmaker, or Graterford, PA: Motorpool.

This trophy can be gotten in 2 different locations. The first is during the Widowmaker fight in St. Louis. As soon as the battle starts, simply jump down on to the ground and venture out in to the open area. There will be a clearly visible basketball hoop on one of the walls, although you will need to avoid the Widowmaker to get it, as once you kill it the area ends and you won't have a chance again.

The second choice is in the Motorpool area of Graterford. Near the end of the area, you will be outside of a dome-shaped building, with Chimera shooting from outside, and Wardens shooting from the inside. As you look at this building straight on, take a left, down to a wall, then another left in to a small alleyway with a hoop on the end wall. Here won't have to worry about a rampaging Widowmaker, but will have hybrids and Wardens to deal with.

Whichever location you choose, simply walk up to the hoop, and lob a grenade onto the backboard, which will the fall in to the hoop. A few seconds later, the trophy will unlock.

Freeze 5 enemies at once and destroy them with a blast of the Cryogun's secondary fire

The Cryogun is first obtained after finding Johnathan, in Mt. Pleasant, PA. The primary fire of the Cryogun freezes enemies in their tracks, and the secondary fire releases a pulse wave that shatters any frozen enemies. The best place to get this trophy is moments after receiving the Cryogun. Johnathan and Capelli will find an elevator, which turns out to be broken. You will follow Johnathan to 2 different locations as he makes the necesary repairs. While he does this, you will be ambushed by a large number of Grims. You need to get 5 of them all frozen at the same time, then use the alternate fire to shatter all 5 at once.

If this spot is causing too much of a struggle for this trophy, try to get this trophy at the checkpoint: Graterford, PA: The Pit. After progressing through the pit a bit, you will pick up your cryogun again. A little further down the path and you will drop in to a circular chamber that will spawn a large quantity of Grims, Leeches, and Leapers. Let the first wave of Grims and Leeches spawn, horde them up, and the freeze them all with the Cryogun. Once frozen, hit them with the alternate fire. If you missed hitting all 6 of them, more will spawn instantly and you will have another chance. Try again with this second wave, and if you still miss it, let the remaining enemies kill you, so that you can try again.

Freeze and melee kill 3 Ravagers

Ravagers are the hulking chimera equiped with Atomizers and Auger type shields. They are bigger than all other standard Chimera and always charge directly towards you. You will be able to start working towards this once you get to New York.

The best way to get this is selecting the chapter: New York, NY: Subway. There will be a tone of Grims fighting 4 Ravagers. Simply walk up to them and freeze them with the Cryogun's primary fire, then proceed to melee ( :r3: ) it. After that, move on to the next Ravager. There are 4 here, so you should ba able to get your 3 kills in just one runthrough, but it the Grims manage to take down two of the Ravagers before you do, simply let the kill you, and try again. You can track your progress via the Extras menu, under the Rewards tab.

39.jpg Backstabber trophy_bronze.png

Kill 20 enemies with melee while they are idle

This is another picky trophy. In order for the backstab to be counted, the enemy needs to be standing completely still. No movement whatsoever. There are several opportunities for backstabs throughout the game, and your progress towards this trophy carries over across multiple playthroughs, and chapter select, so don't worry if you don't have 20 by the time the game finishes.

The easiest and fastest way to get this trophy is to farm it at a checkpoint. I found Graterford, PA: Cellblock A to be the best spot. After getting the Mutator, your cell will open, and a guard will be standing in the center of the block with his back turned to you. Simply walk up to him and melee ( :r3: ) him in the back. Now head over to the stairs and allow the other guard to kill you. Repeat the process until you have 20.

Another location:

IngoBlaze said:
I myself have found that the level Graterford, Cellblock B is better for idle kills than Cellblock A. In Cellblock B there are 5 guards who you can kill from behind, two on your left and three on your right as soon as you start that chapter. Use the Auger to see exactly where they are. But it appears the two standing guards going the toilet do not count as 'idle.' Once you have killed all five let the guards at the bottom next to the pool table kill you and keep continuing over and over until you get the trophy.

Like all other combat trophies, your progress can be monitored through the Extras menu, under the Rewards section.

40.jpg Toast trophy_bronze.png

Use the upgraded Deadeye secondary fire to kill 2+ enemies, 5 times

The Deadeye is first obtained in St. Louis, MO. It's secondary fire shoots out a supercharged bullet that shoots through enemies and walls. In order to unlock this trophy, you need to use the secondary fire to kill 2 enemies with one shot. This must be done 5 separate times. There will be plenty of opportunities to get this throughout the game, simply wait for 2 enemies to get line up, zoom in, and press :r2:. Progress towards this trophy carries over between multiple playthroughs and chapter select, so don't worry if you don't think you will get it before the end of the game. Like the other combat trophies, this can be farmed at a checkpoint.

The best place to rack up these kills is in Mt. Pleasant, PA, after agreeing to go find Johnathan. This area has a lot of Grims, and Grims, by nature, like to file in a straight line and head towards you. Simply get a few Grims to chase you, sprint away, turn around and zoom in, and fire. As long as you had a few Grims following you, you will get at least to kills. Now you can either continue on to the next set of Grims, or allow the rest of the enemies to kill you, and farm the trophy there.

Either way, progress towards this trophy can be checked through the Rewards tab under the Extras menu. Note that your Deadeye must be upgraded for these kills to count, so be sure to have it at least level 2.

41.jpg Counter-Sniper trophy_bronze.png

Use the Deadeye to kill 20 snipers

This trophy will more than likely come by just playing the game. Enemy snipers will have laser sights on their weapons, which makes them easy to notice. Whenever you see a laser-sight, switch to your Deadeye and kill them. You can get about 11 of these kills in Mt. Pleasant, and at least 15 more in Graterford and New York, and the kills all carry over, so you don't need to worry about missing this.

If you wish to farm this trophy, you should do it at the checkpoint: Mt. Pleasant, PA: Forest. Here you can kill the first 8 snipers before the first cave entrance, then let the dropship kill you. Your kills will remain, and all of the snipers will respawn, allowing you to go kill them again. After 20 snipers have been successfully sniped, this trophy will unlock. You can track your progress through the Extras menu, Rewards section.

Use the EMP to take down 25 drones

The EMP grenade will be the first grenade you unlock, however you won't be able to start using it on Drones until you are protecting the boat that Malikov is driving (Checkpoint: Haven, OK: Docks). Drones will get close to your boat and begin sapping the electricity from the engine. Once they are close enough, hit them with the EMP grenade and they will lose all power and die. The trophy can be farmed here by letting the next set of enemies kill you, and repeating the process. There will be several more opportunities, so if you choose to, you can just move on, but it can easily be done here in minutes.

Your progress on this trophy is retained through multiple playthroughs and chapter select, so you needn't worry about missing it. As with all other combat trophies, you can check the progress via the Rewards section in the Extras menu.

43.jpg Warp Speed trophy_bronze.png

Use the Atomizer secondary fire to kill 30 enemies

The Atomizer is first obtained in the Trainyard in St. Louis, MO. It's secondary fire produces a makeshift black hole that shocks enemies, and sucks them towards the center. Immediately upon receiving this weapon, you will be inside a warehouse loaded with Grims. The best way to get this trophy is to get as many Grims on you as you can, then press :r2: to shoot out the black hole. All of the enemies in the immediate area will be killed almost instantly. You simply need to get 30 kills using this.

The trophy can either be farmed here, done throughout the game. The progress towards this trophy carries over throughout multiple playthroughs and chapter select, so you don't need to worry about missing it. You can check how you are doing towards this trophy through the Extras menu, in the Rewards section.

44.jpg Feeling Lucky, Punk trophy_bronze.png

Detonate multiple Magnum rounds to kill 2+ enemies at once, 5 times

The Magnum is available right from the beginning of the game. Its primary fire shoots explosive rounds that can be detonated by pressing :r2:. All you need to do is kill 2 enemies at once with once explosion. This must be done 5 times. There is no shortage of places to get this trophy, but the earliest is Haven, Ok: Haven Outskirts. You will be on inside a building with no wall on 2 sides. Within a few seconds, a Chimeran dropship will arrive and drop several Chimera. Simply send a few rounds into the group, then detonate them, which will typically kill most of them.

The trophy can also be done easily against Leapers. In Mt. Pleasant, after agreeing to find Johnathan, you will eventually come to a few rooms full of Leapers. 1 shot and explosion will easily kill several Leapers, provided they are bunched up. Blow up a few of the Leapers at once, then let the rest kill you. Your progress will be retained, and all of the Leapers will respawn, allowing you to continue to working towards this trophy.

The kills towards this trophy carries over throughout any playthroughs and chapter select, so you don't need to worry about missing it. As usual, you can guage your progress from the Extras menu, under the Rewards section.

45.jpg  Fireworks trophy_bronze.png

Use the Wildfire secondary fire to kill 6 enemies in one shot

The Wildfire is first obtained in Mt. Pleasant, PA, after the Cliffs section. Its primary fire shoots out a rocket that can lock on to enemies or vehicles. Its secondary fire shoots out a form of a rocket that splits in to smaller pieces, and creates a sort of firework display when it hits something.

The best place to get this trophy is in Mt. Pleasant, PA after agreeing to find Johnathan. You will come to a fairly open area with well over 6 Grims. Try to horde them up, then press :r2: with the Wildfire out to kill them all. As long as the group had more than 6 Grims in it, the trophy will unlock. If not, let the enemies kill you and try it again.

Another easy location is during the Widowmaker fight in New York opposite from where you enter the battlefield, several Chimera will bunch up together. This makes them easy targets to take down with the secondary fire. Damage the Widowmaker a bit first (two weak spots destroyed) and even more Chimera will arrive and group up, allowing you to easily get 10+ kills with one shot.

46.jpg Boomstick trophy_bronze.png

Use the upgraded Rossmore secondary fire to set 6 enemies on fire at once

Once you have the Rossmore fully upgraded, its alternate fire turns into an Incendiary Grenade, which sets fire to any enemies near where the grenade hit. Once you have the Rossmore upgraded, load up the checkpoint Graterford, PA: The Pit, and continue past where you pick up the cryogun. You will drop down in to a circular chamber where several Grims and Leapers will spawn.

Allow the first six enemies to spawn, wait until they are close together, then use the Rossmore's secondary fire by pressing :r2:. This will set anything nearby on fire. If 6 enemies were set on fire, your trophy will unlock. If you didn't get all 6, simply let them kill you and try again. This can be gotten almost anywhere, but this is one of the easiest spots to do it.

Another easy location is during the Widowmaker fight in New York opposite from where you enter the battlefield, several Chimera will bunch up together. Simply sneak up behind them by walking along the left wall of the area, then hit them with the secondary fire.

47.jpg Tag, You're It trophy_bronze.png

Kill 40 Bullseye tagged enemies

This will come naturally in the campaign by playing normally. The Bullseye's secondary fire creates a homing beacon, or "tag", on whichever enemy was hit. Any subsequent bullets fired from it will head straight for the tagged target. The Bullseye will be the first weapon you have access to, so you have the entire game to work towards this trophy. Simply tag 40 enemies with :r2:, then kill them with the primary fire.

If you, for some reason, don't get 40 kills before the end of the game, you can continue the progress on another playthrough, or through chapter select. Like all other combat trophies, it can also be farmed at a checkpoint, but it won't be needed. You can monitor your progress through the Rewards section of the Extras menu.

48.jpg Opportunity Knocks trophy_bronze.png

Kill 20 enemies with environmental objects

"Environmental Objects" simply means blast roots. The easiest way to rack up kills for this trophy is to shoot blast roots when an enemy is near them. This will always kill the enemy and count towards this trophy. This can be done throughout the whole game, as blast roots will appear in almost every level. The best place to farm this trophy is at the checkpoint: Haven, OK: Flooded Town. There will be a large amount of Grims on the rooftops, accompanied by a fair amount of blast roots. Shoot the roots, not the Grims, and the explosions caused will chalk up several environment kills.

Quit to the menu, reload the chapter, and repeat this process. Kills carry over across multiple playthroughs, and your progress can be tracked via the Extras menu, under the Rewards section.

Get 50 headshot kills in Campaign Mode

This trophy is self explanatory, and will likely unlock naturally as you play through the game. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, you should always try for headshots, as they kill enemies much easier and faster. As long as you try for headshots, this trophy will unlock very early in the game. The best weapons to get headshots with are the Deadeye (upgraded version shows headshot hitbox), and the Marksman, because they can zoom in and provide increased accuracy.

If you, for some reason, don't get 50 headshot kills before the end of the game, you can continue the progress on another playthrough, or through chapter select. Like all other combat trophies, it can also be farmed at a checkpoint, but it won't be needed. You can monitor your progress through the Rewards section of the Extras menu.

Get 5 headshot kills with one Deadeye clip

This trophy is self explanatory. The Deadeye is first obtained early in St. Louis, MO, while tracking down the VTOL. Using :l1: to zoom in, you need to get 5 headshot kills with one clip. That means no reloading can be done! Anywhere that has a large amount of Hybrids is a good place to do this, as Hybrids have a fairly large headshot region, and die from a single bullet. Your Deadeye only has 5 shots in one clip, so you need to make every shot count, and don't be wasteful.

Tip: If you wait until your Deadeye is upgraded, you will be able to see enemies headshot hitboxes, thus making this trophy a breeze.

Travel 30 km on foot

This trophy will unlock by just playing through the game. All it requires you to do is walk. Depending on how much exploration you do, you will most likely get this between Mt. Pleasant, PA and Graterford, PA.

Travel in 3 different vehicles on your journey

This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. It will unlock as soon as the Train Defense section ends.

55.jpg  Buckshot trophy_bronze.png

Kill 2+ enemies with one Rossmore blast

This trophy will likely unlock by simply playing through the game. The shotgun is first obtained on the mission where you must protect the boat that you and Malikov are on. You need to kill 2 enemies in one shot from the shotguns primary fire, :r1:. Right after receiving the shotgun, there is a good place to get this trophy.

Grims will begin boarding your boat and you will be tasked with killing them. Simply let 2 Grims board, and once they are right next to each other, get up close, and fire the shotgun, killing both of them. Alternatively, you can wait until Mt. Pleasant, PA: Meet Jane Rose, and continue forward until you enter the room with the Leapers.

Leapers have very little health and will die from one shot of almost anything, so that makes them the perfect target for this. Leapers will usually group up, then lunge at you, so once they group up, send a shotgun blast in to the group, instantly killing them all.

Tip: If you are still having troubles getting this trophy, you can wait until the Rossmore is fully upgraded. This turns the Rossmore's primary rounds into incendiary rounds that set your enemies on fire. This will easily kill enemies from a greater distance, meaning your weapon will have a larger bullet spread. That will make it much easier to kill 2 enemies with one blast.

56.jpg  Access Denied trophy_bronze.png

Absorb 1000 damage with Auger Shields

Depending on how much you use the Auger, this may of may not come by playing the game naturally. The Auger is first received in Chapter 3, and its secondary fire releases an energy shield that block almost all incoming projectiles. Whenever you are in an area with a lot of Chimera shooting at you, simply pull out the Auger and shoot out a shield. Any bullets that hit the shield will count towards damage absorbed.

If you didn't unlock this by playing through the game, you can continue your progress towards it across multiple playthroughs, and chapter select. If you would like to farm this trophy, load up the checkpoint: New York, NY: C130 Crash. As soon as you gain control of your character, switch to the Auger and walk southwest down in to the rubble.

As soon as enemies begin firing on you, press :r2: to fire a shield out, and rack up the damage absorbed. Once your shield dies out, send out another one and keep racking up progress. By loading this checkpoint, your Auger should have 3 shields to start with, so once your second one fades, shoot out your final shield. After this one fades as well, simply let the enemies kill you. Your progress towards this trophy will be retained, and the enemies, and your ammunition, will have respawned, allowing you to repeat the process. Do this a few times, and your trophy will unlock.

As with all combat related trophies, you can monitor your progress via the Rewards section, under the Extras menu.

I have a good place to farm this trophy. Replay Checkpoint: Haven, OK: Docks. Just wait for the drones and whip out your Auger shield :r2: This is the quickest way by far to get this trophy. I had only about 300/1000 damage absorbed, I replayed the checkpoint twice and got the trophy :) You can also farm the "Electric Avenue" (B) here as the guide says so.

57.jpg From the Hip trophy_bronze.png

Kill 50 enemies with the Bullseye or Marksman while moving, without using zoom

This will most likely come by just playing the game naturally, and probably be one of the first trophies you get. It is self-explanatory, all that needs to be done is use the Bullseye or the Marksman, to get 50 moving, hipfire kills. That means no pressing :l1: for increased accuracy. This can be any type of enemies, not just Hybrids, meaning your prime targets will be Grims and Leapers, because they have the least health. Simply get 50 kills from the hip and this trophy is yours.

If you, for some reason, don't get 50 moving hipfire kills before the end of the game, you can continue the progress on another playthrough, or through chapter select. Like all other combat trophies, it can also be farmed at a checkpoint, but it won't be needed. You can monitor your progress through the Rewards section of the Extras menu.

58.jpg Chamber Full of Death trophy_bronze.png

Kill 5+ Hybrids at once by using the HE .44 Magnum secondary fire

The HE .44 Magnum is available to you right from the start. Its primary fire shoots explosive rounds in to enemies, or the environment, which can then be detonated by pressing :r2:. Simply kill 5 Hybrids with one detonation (the detonation can be of multiple rounds, its doesn't just need to be a single shot), and the trophy will unlock. Keep in mind that the trophy specifies that it must by Hybrids. Grims, Leapers, or any other form of Chimera will not count.

Getting this trophy properly set up, finding 5 Hybrids close enough to each other, can be a bit difficult, as Hybrids like to move around. The best place I have found to get this trophy is through the checkpoint St. Louis, MO: Sewers. After entering the post office, a Brawler will arrive, as well as a large amount of hybrids on the second floor. Kill the Brawler, but be sure not to kill any of the hybrids that a shooting at you. The longer you stall the Brawler before killing it, the more Hybrids will show up. Once the brawlers is dead, all of the Chimera from the second floor will rush down the stairs towards you. There will be about 10 of them all running straight for you. This is the perfect place to kill 5 of them with one blast. Shoot a few magnum rounds into the floor or the group, then once you have 5 or 6 rounds lodged in to the area surrounding the Hybrids, press :r2: to detonate them. This will almost always kill 5 or more. If not, allow them to kill you and try again. It is best to do this on easy, so the Hyrbids don't kill you while you take out the Brawler, and so that the Hybrids go down easier.

Another good place to do this is at the checkpoint: New York, NY: Times Square. I'd recommend doing this on Casual difficulty. Here will be a large battle between several Hybrids and a Widowmaker. In the northwest corner of this are, all of the Hybrids will amass in one group and will all be shooting the Widowmaker. Follow the left wall and sneak up behind them. Wait a moment until there are 6 or 7 Hybrids in the group. They will be occupied with killing the Widowmaker, so you can carefully place your 6 explosive rounds before detonating them. Preferably, one round in each Hybrid. Once you have your full clip shot into, or near, the Hyrbids, press :r2: to detonate the rounds, killing all of the Hybrids. Note: Do not try doing this while going for "In This Together", as killing these Hybrids will negate that trophy.

Another good place to get this trophy is right at the end of the game. You will reach a point where you will be dangling from a rope and you will have the Magnum with infinite ammo. Simply shoot 6 bullets in to the crowds of Hybrids, then use :r2: to detonate.

If you are still finding this trophy troublesome, try coming back to these areas later after your Magnum is fully upgraded, because it will do more damage.

Revive a Co-op partner 20 times

This must be done in offline co-op, and does not need to be done in one session. The revives will carry over across any co-op playing that you do. While playing co-op, when your partner loses all of his/her health, they will go down to the ground and will have a "bleed out" counter above their heads. This counter starts and 30 seconds and counts down to 0. If your partners body is getting hurt while downed, the counter will go faster. If the counter reaches 0, your partner dies and you both go back to the last checkpoint. For this trophy, what you need to do is wait until your partner is downed, run over to them and hold :square: to revive them before the counter reaches 0. If your revive is successful, your partner will get back up with 50% health and one revive will be counted towards this trophy.

The fastest and easiest way to unlock this trophy is in offline co-op. Grab a second controller, if one is available to you, log in your second player and load up the checkpoint: Haven, OK: Main Street Defense, on Superhuman. Once the level begins and the door opens, your team will leave the room you are in and begin to fight the Chimera. Now you should place your partner directly in the doorway, while you stay inside the safe room, just to the side of your partner.

If you are playing on Superhuman, within seconds, your partner will die. Now simply look at your partner, and hold :square: to revive him. He will get up and have 50% health, then within seconds, he will die again, allowing you to revive him once more. Simply repeat this process until 20 revives has been reached. If playing online, then switch roles and let your partner revive you. After this has been done, the trophy will unlock.

Your progress towards this trophy can be tracked through the Extras menu, under the Rewards section.

Can you chapter select Superhuman after you beat the game instead of starting fresh? Nice guide as always by the way Timbs, sunny comes through with the videos too good work.

We aren't positive on Co-op for superhuman, or whether chapter select works yet. I'm pretty sure Chapter Select will work as long as you do every chapter, not just the last one. I'll get back to you with solid info once Andrew and I test some things.

Will using cheats to beat the game on difficult unlock superhuman? thanks

According to the in-game cheat screen, it only locks out the Brutal trophy, so it should be ok for unlocking Superhuman. I havent tested it though, so don't quote me on that.
