Introduction

The long awaited Resident Evil 6 features 4 inter-crossing campaigns, brilliant graphics and a gripping story-line. The game will take you some time to complete, roughly 20 - 25 in game hours to complete all 4 campaigns on normal difficulty. You also need to complete the game on the hardest difficultly, professional. That is the hardest trophy in the game but most of it is straightforward enough. There is 80 collectibles, called serpent emblems. They are very well hidden so I highly recommend using a guide to get those. There isn't any glitched trophies luckily, except a few have reported that the coup de grace trophy and the counter trophy unlock on random numbers higher than the set amount, this is because these have to kill the enemy for it to count.

Luckily there is infinite ammo available for you to buy for your professional play through so you shouldn't have too much difficulty with it if your using those skills. Infinite ammo comes at a hefty point cost though and you have to buy them for select guns. I recommend buying it for the magnum and assault rifle only, as they are very useful against all types of enemies. Overall the platinum is easy, but it's time consuming.

Skill Point Farming

There's a few places where you can farm skill points and this will be the most time consuming thing in the game. You need 955,000 to buy all the level skills needed for the Mad Skillz trophy. Here's a few farming tips, provided on behalf of the community and some of my preferred methods of farming:

Minimal spoilers, but spoilers none the less

[spoiler=SKILLPOINTFARMING]

Hi guys, my friend skin_it_up found a way to do 20k in 5 mins on a sister site. The method is to do Chris' chapter 5 and speed run until you need to wait 3 mins for the tube. Pull down all the levers or wait for the enemy to do it but the 1st method is quicker. Kill all the enemies that come from the chrysalinds and collect the points, you should get around 20k. After simply hit the door and wait for the saving point then quit and repeat.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9BH9jn9LxY]Resident Evil 6 - B.O.Ws Are Ugly Trophy / Achievement Guide and Skill Point Farming - YouTube[/ame]

First while on the plane there is a chest worth 5,000 skill points all the way in

the back.

After that you'll come across some enemies. I don't know what they're called but when you shoot them they'll split in half at the torso and if you shoot their hands they will sever as well and all the pieces will come after you. If you can sever both hands and torso and legs then when the last piece "dies" they'll drop 3,000 skill points per creature. Only once per creature unfortunately but there will be three of these things so you can get 9,000 from them.

After that you'll come to a long hallway to an elevator at the end with lasers that you have to slide under. Stay close to the right wall, Run as fast as you can and when you near the end slide, lie on the ground and quickly shoot the lights on either side of the door, stand back up and book it to the elevator. If you get there first then there will be two chests when the elevator reaches the top, each with 2,000 skill points inside

After that there will be a room with mines bouncing around the room and Helena has to hack the door. Leon will have to protect her from the mines. Again, you'll need to be fast here. If you get through it quickly enough then there will be three chests outside the room. Two with 5,000 skill points each and one with 4,000. If you don't make it these chests will be empty. If you think you've wasted too much time in either the hallway or the room with the mines, reload the checkpoint and try again. If you fail you'll instantly get a checkpoint but you can quit to the main menu and continue from the save point to get another try but you will have to do the laser hallway again.

If you successfully get all these skill points then it will be worth a total of 32,000 skill points per run :)

In my opinion though, playing mercenaries is the best way to go about doing it. You can get lots of point pick ups here, some as high as 6000. I suggest going for all the time bonuses first, that way you can just focus on killing the enemies and keeping the combo high. Some people though either don't like mercenaries, or just aren't very good at it. If that's you then just use the above methods instead and you'll easily be able to get enough points for all the skill points needed for Mad Skillz. What I did was choose the map "Urban Chaos, as I found it the best to keep your combo up. Firstly you want to smash all the time bonuses and ignore the zombies, you should have about 8 minutes on the clock. I then used the assault rifle and fired 3 shots at a zombie then pressed :r1: to melee them. This gives you a 5 second bonus. Make sure to pick up the skill points that some enemies drop, it's the only way to get points.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Complete the game on amateur, collect most of the serpent emblems and get misc trophies.

The first step is to just enjoy the game by completing it on amateur. You need to complete all 4 of the campaigns in order to get the difficulty trophies. The main focus of this play-through is to collect the serpent emblems. There is 80 in total, 20 in each campaign and 4 in each chapter. The emblems are very well hidden in some chapters so following a text/video guide is highly recommended. Some require you to use different characters to get them, so get all the ones you can here and leave the rest for your professional play-through. The other thing to focus on is the misc trophies, such as the hidden ones for each campaign and the ones for killing enemies with a certain move etc. See the guide for more info on how to get those. If you'd like to leave that to clean up then that's fine, just as long as you get all but 4 of the serpent emblems out the way in this play-through you'll be all set. Make sure to also play as the main characters and get 10 kills with each of their weapons, that will count for the Weapons Master Trophy. For the serpent emblems, here's the ones which need a specific character to get them.

Chris' Campaign

  • Chapter 2 - Emblem #2 can only be obtained with Piers.
  • Chapter 4 - Emblem #4 can only be obtained with Piers.

Jake's Campaign

  • Chapter 1 - Emblem #3 can only be obtained with Sherry
  • Chapter 3 - Emblem #1 can only be obtained with Jake.
  • Chapter 4 - Emblem #1 can only be obtained with Sherry.

Step 2: Skill Point Farming through chapter select.

Why this step you ask? Well if you get the infinite ammo skills and also the fire arm ones you'll easily be able to finish professional without any trouble. If you think you can do professional without the aid of these skills then you can do this step after completing professional, but it will make your life harder. Included in the sub heading above are all the methods for skill point farming, you want to get about a million skill points as that leaves leeway to buy some infinite ammo skills after you've completed the requirements for Mad Skillz which requires 847,000. At the end of this step you should have the following trophy:

Mad Skillz (G)

Step 3: Professional Playthrough and remaining Serpent Emblems with alternative character.

Note: Remember to play as the other character (E.g. If you used Leon in step 1, use Helena). This way you'll be able to get the last 4 serpent emblems and also get 10 kills with the last weapons you need.

The next step is playing through professional with the skills you have just unlocked. You can get the trophy through chapter select and do the chapters in any order you want. Professional isn't very difficult, it's about hard difficulty on Uncharted. I have included extensive tips on getting this trophy under the trophy Leave It To The Pro so please refer to that if your struggling. After you have completed all 4 campaigns on professional you will have unlocked all the difficulty trophies. Now all that is left is medal collecting and clean up. You will also want to play as the alternative character for this step because you need to get 10 kills with each of their weapons for the Weapons Master trophy. You also need to collect the reaming serpent emblems from before which you couldn't get with that character, which should only be a few. The final thing you want to do in this step is kill all the B.O.Ws you come across, this will count towards the B.O.Ws Are Ugly Trophy. A B.O.W is the strong enemies, such as Napads. Pretty much any enemy that isn't a j'avo or a zombie is a B.O.Wt. If you haven't killed 100 of them by the end of this step you can grind it in chapter 5 of Chris' campaign, see the guide for more info. You should have the following trophies after this step:

Normal Is Good (S)

Back in My Day (S)

Leave It to the Pro (G)

B.O.Ws Are Ugly (S)

Heirlooms (S)

Weapons Master (S)

Step 4: Medals from Agent Hunt and Mercenaries, also a Clean Up

The final step is playing mercenaries and agent hunt until you get Covered in Brass. You may already have this though, if that's the case just skip this part. For a complete medal list you can see this thread here:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/resident-evil-6/174565-medal-list.html

The medals aren't difficult to get and you can check your progress on the titless screen of the dog tags menu. On the last few pages are the titles for the medals (See Covered In Brass for more inifo. The final part of this step is the clean up, you may have missed out on a chapter specific trophy or your might not have gotten a specific kill with weapon. If you missed any serpent emblems then you can go back and get them in this step. You should now have all the trophies and your platinum, congrats!

As soon as you start Resident Evil for the first time and select campaign you have to complete the Prelude. This is future events in Leon's campaign. The level is short, and will only take you about half an hour. You have to carry Helena through a broken building and give her a green herb so she can walk by herself. For the rest of the chapter you will be killing some zombies, until the plane falls onto the road. It will explode and you have to run (Use :l3; and move :ls: in the direction you want to go, hold :cross: to auto jump/climb things. Trophy will unlock on the score screen.

Leon's campaign is the longest campaign in the game and is the only one not to have J'avo in it. You can play as either Leon or Helena. This chapter is straight forward, but long. The task is to get to the cathedral, and you will have to travel through the university and the sewers to get there. You will be fighting against normal zombies and some army zombies with guns. The level ends when you get on the bus at the end, after defending the store with the help of survivors. At the end, ignore all the zombies and just get on the bus by going through the gate.

Leon's campaign is the longest campaign in the game and is the only one not to have J'avo in it. You can play as either Leon or Helena. This chapter has a quite a few puzzles in it (Guides are included in the spoiler below), but other than that it's a straight forward chapter. There is a boss at the end of this chapter too, refer to the spoiler for for more on that.

Puzzle and Boss Walkthrough

[spoiler=CHAPTER2LEON]#1 Bow and Arrow statues, bells and light plates.

For this you simply need to press the button on the front of the statue to turn it off. To avoid the arrows just keep sprinting and the arrow will miss you. The light plates come up next, which are very simple. All you need to do is point you gun using :l1: at the plate and the laser sight will act as a light, thus opening the. The next few the plates are hidden away, the 2nd one you have to look down the stairs to see it and the 3rd one you have to look up at the ceiling.

The final bit in the church is the bells, also straight forward. There's 2 on wind wines up on top of the towers and the rest are in the towers. Simply use the sniper to shoot each one once and the door will open.

The first door code is 210:

and the final one is 201:

Boss: Mutated Deborah

Near the end you have to fight Deborah, she is Helena's sister who mutated as a result of the C-Virus. She has tentacles that come out of her back that have yellow blobs on the end of them, aim for these to take more health off. You can just keep shooting her though and it will kill her eventually. She only has a few attacks, the tentacle slam and tentacle swipe. You can avoid both by diving in any direction away from her, but it's not vital to avoid them as it doesn't take much health off of you. The fight ends when you have to protect Helena after the train cart sequence.

There is a B.O.W boss in this but it's very easy to kill and simple to work out what to do, but refer to the spoiler if you'd like to know more about it.

Boss Info, Spoilers!

[spoiler=CHAPTER3LEON]The boss in this chapter is a giant fish kind of thing, that will be pursuing you throughout most of the chapter. At the end your sliding down a water pipe kind of thing and you have to just shoot the fish in the face to kill it, and press the QTEs when you get the prompt to avoid dieing. At one point you have to shoot some TNT, shoot it and the boss will die.

Boss Walkthrough, Spoiler!

[spoiler=CHAPTER4LEON]B.O.W Fight, with Sherry and Jake

To kill this boss quickly make use of the cages of barrels. There is about 10 scattered around the place. First you have to climb up to get them, you can use the ladder for the first part then you need to press the button on the forklift to reach the others. When they are on the floor wait until the boss is near them and then shoot the barrels, it will take a lot of health off of it. When you run out of ammo simply keep shooting him until the cut-scene appears.

The next part, after Helena/Sherry drives the bus through the wall is the last part. Do the same thing again with the barrels to damage it. When you have run out of barrels simply keep shooting it and then another cut-scene will appear showing a pylon falling onto the boss and making it disappear, presumed dead.

Chapter 3 is a continuation of chapter 2 and is in the same setting, it is also the shortest chapter in Leon's campaign. The final chapter is basically the prelude and a boss fight, so it's pretty simple. The boss is a real pain as it just doesn't die, you have to fight it about 4 times. Refer to the spoiler below for a walkthrough.

Boss Walkthrough, Spoilers!

[spoiler=CHAPTER5LEON]Form 1: T-Rex

The first form is straightforward enough, it's just a case of shooting it until it dies. Take advanatage of the red barrels scattered about the place, when Derek walks near one shoot it and it will do a lot of damage. When he returns to human form quickly run up to him and perform the QTE. You need to repeat this about 5 times until you can advance to the next part.

Form 2: 4 legged, dog like thing

Ada will do most of this, you just need to climb the rope. When climbing the rope make sure to get a good rhythm going, and never take your finger off one of the buttons without your finger on the other button. When you reach the top you'll have to help Ada defeat Derek. What you have to do is just keep shooting him, slide down the side of it when it's charging to avoid his attacks. You will eventually roll off the edge and Derek will try and push you off by standing on your hands. Just wait and Ada will stab an arrow into Derek's side, where he then goes to fall into the fire below. Surely he's dead by now?

Form 3: Giant Bee

Well, turns out he isn't dead. He is now a massive bee that can fly, and has dangerous attacks which do a lot of damage. For the first part you just have to keep shooting Derek and avoiding his arm, he'll then get surrounded by zombies and you can safely advance. When you have clambered across the rooftops you'll have to fight him in bee form, which is bigger than your average bee. There is only one way you can kill it though, bullets don't hurt it. You will see a zombie with a spike in it in the center of the roof, this is what will kill it. What you want to do is shoot one of the glowing spots on Derek's underside to make one of his arms fall off. When one has fallen off quickly kill all the zombies but leave the spike zombie. Derek will send a tentacle out to grab the spiked zombie, which will then cause lighting to strike Derek. The spike will fall out of him and you now have to pick it up and stab it into a new zombie, rinse and repeat until it dies.

For the final part simply pick up the RPG and fire it at the bees eyes, it will cause Derek to fall and turn back into human form. He will then get impaled on the monument below, which has killed him this time. That's the end of the boss fight.

The trophy will unlock after completing this specific chapter on any difficulty. Similar to chapter 1, but just a different objective. There is no puzzles or no parts where you can get stuck, but there is a boss glitch.

When you fight the B.O.W in the pig room you have to make sure you keep at least 5 shotgun ammo, don't use it on the B.O.W. Reason being is you have to go through a vent after it and if you have no ammo (Like I did on my first playthrough) you cannot complete the chapter. The B.O.W will just keep grabbing you and pulling you away, knife doesn't work. So just make sure to keep ammo, I say shotgun as its ye most effective. If your reading this and your in this situation, quit to the main menu. It will set you back half an hour or so but it's all you can do.

Boss Walkthrough, Spoilers!

[spoiler=CHAPTER5CHRIS]The final boss is a giant queen mutant thing, it's huge at first and you just need to keep climbing and running to get out if the complex. When your out you have to do the sequences with the sliding under doors, which is fairly easy to do. While running press :l1: to slide, this will get you under the closing doors.

Now, for the actual fight. Just keep shooting him until he goes into a cocoon. When he does keep punching him and Piers will electrify him, you now have to complete the short QTE to damage it. Repeat 3 times and it will die. You will most likely run out of ammo, if you do just keep knifing the boss from behind. You will hardly ever get hurt if you do this.

Stealth Area Walkthrough

[spoiler=CHAPTER2JAKE]In the stealthy area you have to avoid the bugs, the big guy won't spot you without the help of them. To kill the bugs go up behind them and press :r1: to kill them. If you get spotted by a bug you have to quickly climb into the metal container to avoid the big guy. You have 3 chances to run to the container, he will find you if you do it a 4th time.

When you have to get the key card go to the gun symbols on the map to pick up the remote bombs. Place a remote bomb here then run over to the bit you helped Sherry up. Detonate it and Sherry will get the card safely. The big guy will begin walking back to his original spot, just avoid him and don't step on the ice. Swipe the key to continue. The rest of the level is easy enough and straightforward.

Perform the QTEs correctly and avoid cars etc and you'll get through it fine, the rest of the level is the usual J'avo killing. It shouldn't take you too long and there isn't that many enemies. This chapter also has the Hard Choice hidden trophy in it, refer to the guide for more info on how to get that.

Jake's Campaign features Jake, a mercenary with C-Virus immunity and an adult Sherry Berkin who was in Raccoon City. This campaign can be played from the very start if you want to. The trophy will unlock on the score screen after completing this chapter on any difficulty. This is the final chapter for this campaign, it's also pretty short. You basically just have to restore power, then fight some J'avo, then the final boss fight. The boss fight is straight forward enough, just keep shooting it.

The trophy will unlock on the score screen after completing chapter 2. Chapter 2 has a couple of puzzles, which i'll explain below. The chapter is long, but it depends on how long things take you. There is a boss on this level, refer to the spoiler below for more info.

Boss and Puzzle Walkthrough

[spoiler=ADA2]

Mutated Deborah

The boss is mutated Deborah. She has 3 arm like structures that emit from her back, each has a yellow weak spot. Simply shoot those until they go out. To dodge the swipe and smash attacks you want to dive to the right, left, back etc. It's not difficult as you have Leon and Helena helping you. When your in the cart, just keep shooting her and she will switch sides.

Puzzles

#1

The first one in the sort of hanging area is simple. You have to move the lever to the right from where it starts so that it's directly under one of the people who is hanging above. When it is there you want to shoot the lock above the persons noose and they will fall and hit the lever.

#2

The area where if you jump to the floor it opens up and you fall through is the next and final puzzle. What you want to do is shoot the 3 zombies with the crossbow until they stick to the walls. Once all 3 are stuck on the walls with arrows, it's safe to jump over.

Professional is the hardest difficulty in the game, but compared to some games it isn't that bad. The difficulty increases the amount of damage you take and the the amount of bullets it takes to kill enemies. I would say Leon's is the easiest and Chris's the hardest. Reason being is Leon has zombies and they can only hurt you if they get near you, but as for Chris' and the others, they have J'avo which have guns. The only thing that may cause a problem in the campaigns is ammo and the B.O.W bosses. I have included an extensive guide to survival below to help you through professional difficulty:

Health Tablets

These are your health source, one green herb can be converted into one green tablet. There is a few different recipes, they are:

  • Green Herb = 1 Health Tabet / 1 health blocks
  • Green Herb + Green Herb = 3 Health Tablets / 3 health blocks
  • Green Herb + Red Herb = 6 Health Tablets / 6 health blocks
  • 3 Green Herbs + Green Herb + 6 Health Tablets / 6 health blocks
  • First Aid Spray = 6 Health Blocks

There is more than that but you get where i'm going with it. Basically you want to wait until you have a few in your inventory instead of just converting one to one. Also, if your in the middle of combat and need a quick tablet but your case is empty, simply press :r2: and :square: together and the game will make some for you using ingredients in your inventory. Save as many tablets as you can for boss fights, you need them in case you die as you'll go all the way back to the start of the boss fight (Unless it has checkpoints).

Cover System

The cover system in RE6 may seem confusing at first, but using it effectively will save your life plenty of times. To enter cover press :l1: and :cross: next to an object/wall you want to take cover by. To look out of cover hold the :ls: in the direction you want to look. It will take a while to get used to, but once you've mastered it you'll fly through professional difficulty.

Conserving Ammo!

This is one of the most important things when it comes to this game, mainly because there's hardly any of it. All characters have a melee weapon, except Jake who has hand-to-hand. These all have unlimited uses, but take some stamina off your bar for each swing (stamina can be recovered by waiting around or taking a health tablet). Save ammo for good guns, such as the shotgun and magnum. Don't go using good weapons on weak enemies, as good ammo is usually rare and you might really need it later. My main tip would be to use the handgun against the weaker enemies and the shotgun against mutated J'avo and stronger zombies. Shoot a zombie a couple of times then finish them off with melee attack, for best results. As you will more than likely have infinite ammo at this stage, you don't need to worry about this.

AI Partner

If you play solo, your AI partner will have infinite health and they actually manage to kill enemies unlike most games. If your low on health, retreat back and let the AI handle it. The only thing they aren't so good at is boss fights, they don't seem to deal much damage in those situations. If your doing it only co-op, you won't have this advantage. If your partner is good you shouldn't have much trouble anyway.

Countering

A good way to one hit kill enemies is to counter them. Enemies with weapons you can OHK them by countering them, as you use their weapon against them. This is very useful for J'avo as when they mutate it can be a pain to kill them as it wastes bullets. To counter, press :r1: when an enemy lunges at you.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/7C6.jpgCheck Out My Dogs (B)

Customize your dog tags.

Complete at least one chapter and you will get a message on the score screen "You have earned a dog tag". Simply go to the dog tag settings on the campaign menu and then edit it. To get the trophy you have to change:

  • Template
  • Title
  • Emblem

The trophy will unlock once you have finished editing it and save it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/DF5.jpgTitular Achievement (B)

Earn 10 different titles.

Note: The trophy will only on the titles page, you must view it once you think you have earned 10 titles.

Titles are what you use on your dog tag, there is hundreds of them so getting 10 is very easy. What you want to do is complete a few chapters of any of the campaigns then go to dog tag customization, click titles and you should have more than 10 here. There's lot's of easy ones for walking, running, crawling, dieing etc. The trophy will unlock almost instantaneously.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/E8B.jpg One Is Better Than None (B)

Purchase one skill.

There is a few ways to access the skill menu, but as this only requires one we'll go with the fastest option. Firstly load up the campaign and you have to complete the Prelude, which is a short tutorial chapter. As soon as you finish and advance from the score screen you will be on the skill menu. Simply go to any of the skills and press :cross: on it then confirm by pressing yes. The cheapest skill is "Lone Wolf" and it costs 100 points, but it is useless so I recommend buying firearms lvl 1 or something similar. The trophy will unlock shortly after buying your first skill.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/498.jpg Mad Skillz (G)

Max out all the skills that allow you to level up.

Note: You only need to buy the skills that allow you to level them up, you know if you can level them up as you can buy the same skill again but at a higher price and higher level. For skill point grinding, please refer to the roadmap section "Skill Point Farming".

Here are all the skills you need to buy for the trophy, none of the others count. The total cost of all of these is 955,000 which is a hell of a lot and needs lot's of grinding to be able to get it that many skill points. Mercenaries is a good way to get skill points, as the pick ups can give you between 500 and 6,000 points, should get about 30K per game if your lucky. A game on Urban Chaos only takes around 8 minutes, so it's no doubt the best method to farm them. The skills you need to buy are:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/13C.jpg Silent Killer (B)

Use a stealth attack to take down five enemies.

A stealth attack is when you go up behind an unaware enemy as press :r1: to instantly kill them. You can only do a stealth attack if the enemy hasn't noticed you, or ha lost sight of you. The easiest way to get this is to wait until you unlock Ada's campaign and then play the first chapter being stealthy. There is a lot more than 5 Neo-umbrella J'avo that you can do this to, simply walk up behind them and press :r1: when prompted. A short scene will play where they are having there neck broken or something along those lines. The trophy will pop after you have executed 10 stealth attacks throughout all of the campaigns. To check how many you have done go to "Records" then scroll over to weapons. Scroll all the way down until you see the "Stealth Attacks" stat. You need to get this up to 5 for the trophy to unlock.

If you don't want to wait that long you can do it right at the end of Chapter 2 in Leon's campaign.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/8F5.jpg Finish What You Start (B)

Perform a coup de grâce on ten enemies.

A coup de grace is a sort of round house kick performed on enemies that are kneeling over. Whenever you see an enemy fall to it's knees (Usually B.O.Ws, but it works on regular enemies too) go up to them and press :r1: and you will spin around and kick them. I'm not sure if the attack has to kill them, but i'm pretty sure it does.

You will most likely get this naturally by playing the game, but if you don't you can keep replaying chapter 4 in Leon's campaign. At the start the pilot turns into one of those gas zombies, simply keep attacking it until it kneels down and then do the Coup de grace move on them. It will most likely kill it if your playing on amateur (You may need the melee skill equipped). Once you kill it and it jumps out the plane restart and do it over again. you can check your progress in Records > Weapons > Coup de Grace. Here is a video guide by PowerPyx.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWV4j5LL4UE]Resident Evil 6 - Finish What You Start Trophy / Achievement Guide - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/552.jpg Bob and Weave (B)

Counter an enemy's attack three times in row.

Note: THE COUNTER HAS TO KILL THE ZOMBIE! It will only kill them if the zombie has a weapon or the zombie has been previously damaged, or it's a bloodshot. If you have melee level 3 equipped though you don't have to worry about any of this as the counter will always kill a zombie. You can get the trophy against J'avo but it's much harder because they mutate.

This sounds tricky, but it really isn't. You just have to time it right. Load up any chapter in Leon's (Or one of Ada's which has zombies) campaign and find a small group of zombies (Chapter 2 on Leon's is the best as there's quite a few zombies from the get go). What you want to do is stand in front of a weapon zombie and as soon as you see it go for you you will get an :r1: prompt. If done right you will here a ting sound to notify you of the successful counter. There will be an animation when you successfully counter them, if they have a weapon you will use that against them or if they don't then you will just kick them in the face. If you fail on any of the counters and punch the zombie then the counter will restart, same goes if you get grabbed and fail. The best thing to do is watch the zombies arms or weapon, as soon as you see them going for you press :r1: and 90% of the time you will counter the zombie successfully.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im0jUB2hzc0]Resident Evil 6: Bob and Weave - Trophy / Achievement Guide - YouTube[/ame]

Another good method is to load up "Urban Chaos" in Mercenaries and wait until the bloodshot's come (The hard to kill demon looking things). They will lunge at you and it's very easy to counter it, the counter is always a one hit kill too.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/1EB.jpg Down, Not Out (B)

Defeat an enemy while dying, then recover without any help.

First things first, you cannot have your partner come and revive you or you will not get the trophy. Here are a few options for getting the trophy:

  • Lone Wolf: Buy and equip the lone wolf skill before starting a campaign chapter. This skill makes it so your partner will not come and revive you when your down. So if you ever go into man down state, just aim at the enemy that knocked you down and spam bullets in it's direction (having the shotgun out is your best bet). If you kill the zombie and get back up again after the red bar fills all the way up the trophy will unlock.
  • Sections where you are on your own: Some parts of the game you will be split up from your partner (An example would be Jake's chapter 4 or Leon's Chapter 3). During these parts your partner cannot come to your aid so you can get the trophy without the use of Lone Wolf. To get the trophy, aim at the enemy that knocked you down and spam bullets in it's direction (having the shotgun out is your best bet). If you kill the zombie and get back up again after the red bar fills all the way up you will unlock the trophy.
  • Online/Local Co-op: In Co-op your partner has to come to your aid, so you can boost it with somebody. Simply go into man down and tell your partner to not revive you. To get the trophy, aim at the enemy that knocked you down and spam bullets in it's direction (having the shotgun out is your best bet). If you kill the zombie and get back up again after the red bar fills all the way up you will unlock the trophy.
  • Ada's Campaign: You are by yourself in this campaign, so if you ever go into man down state you have to get back up yourself or you'll die. This is by far the easiest method of getting the trophy as you'll most likely get it without even trying to get it. To get the trophy, aim at the enemy that knocked you down and spam bullets in it's direction (having the shotgun out is your best bet). If you kill the zombie and get back up again after the red bar fills all the way up you will unlock the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/D47.jpg Lifesaver (B)

Help or rescue your partner ten times.

Note: When your partner says "Help me" or something alon gthose lines quickly shoot the enemy that is grabbing him/her, or the enemies that are hurting him/her/

The term help means, say a lot of zombies where closing in on your partner and their circle above their head is flashing red. If you kill the enemies around them this would be classed as helping them and your partner (If it's AI) should say "Thanks!", "Appreciate It!". To rescue your partner you have to kill whatever is grappling onto them. Usually a zombie has grabbed them, simply shoot the zombie as it is grappling your partner to rescue them.

I got this without even trying and it unlocked during my third campaign, which was Jake's. If you don't have it by the time you have completed it on professional etc then load up any chapter and don't kill any enemies. Instead, just watch your partner and kill any enemies that are trying to hurt/kill them. The trophy will unlock after you have rescued them 10 times across all campaigns. You can check your stat by going into the dog tag page and looking at your titles. Find the one called "Hero", once that reaches 10 the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/8DE.jpg Weapons Master (B)

Use all the weapons in the game and kill ten enemies with each of them.

There is a total of 22 weapons in the game, each character has a different weapon load-out. You need to play as all characters in the game to unlock this trophy, so I recommend playing through the whole game on amateur with the main character and when you do your professional play-through to move onto the other characters. Here is a list of all the weapons and who uses them, you can check your stats in Records -> Weapons. Some weapons you need to find, so whenever you see a gun symbol on the screen make sure you go and collect. None of them are really out of your way except the assault shotgun in Chris's campaign, chapter 2. Just make sure to go to the icons when you see them. You can also check your stats on http://www.residentevil.net. Go to "Records -> "Weapon Stats". It's much easier to track here:

Here's a view graphs of the weapons you need 10 kills with, these are the only ones that count towards the trophy:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/FCA.jpg Give a Little Push (B)

Knock ten enemies off a high place.

To knock an enemy off a high place they have to be standing by a railing or such, you then do a short animation where you push them off the edge. An easy place to get this is during the first chapter of Chris' campaign. You will come out of a building and have to go up some metal stairs, leaning on the railing at the top of the first set of metal stairs is a unaware J'avo. Simply walk up behind him and then press :r1: when prompt. You will push him off the edge and he will fall. Now just press :select: then "Restart from last checkpoint", rinse and repeat. Doing this method will also unlock the Silent Killer trophy.

You can also get them both near the end of Leon's Chapter 2, after you find Debra. You will walk a wooden walkway and onto a rope bridge, on that bridge is a zombie looking over the edge. Just go up behind him and push him off with :r1:. Then restart checkpoint, same as the above method.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/A39.jpg Rising Up (S)

Earn a level-four title

A 4 star title is the highest grade for a title. A title starts off with 1 star, then progresses up the more of that stat you do. Say for example "Enjoying the scenery", that just requires you to walk a certain number of metres. It's the same for running and so on. After you have completed about 2 of the campaigns you should have earned a 4 star title without even trying. To check your title progress go to the dog tag customization page and then click titles. Here is all the titles you have earned and you can check when a title is going to reach it's next stage. For example, the "Hero" title will unlock when you rescue your partner 10 times, it will upgrade to a 2 star when you rescue your partner 30 times. It might sound confusing at first but don't worry about it.

When you have completed at least 2 campaigns just go and check your dog tags, if there is a 4 star title there the trophy will unlock pretty much as soon as you load it up. The trophy will only unlock if you view the title page, you have to view it for the game to know you have earned a 4 star title.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/6B6.jpg They're ACTION Figures! (B)

Collect 3 figures.

See Heirlooms for a serpent emblems guide.

Go to "Special features" tab on the main menu and then click "Collections". This menu will bring you to an area with all your serpent emblems. There is 4 arcade machine kind of things which each represent the campaigns (Leon's, Chris', Jake's and Ada's). To get this trophy you have to fill a row or a column up with the fact files. Its 6 across for a row, and 5 down for a column. To unlock an action figure you have to fill up either a row or a column. To fill a row you have to shoot all the serpent emblems in any given chapter, to fill a column you have to shoot the first emblem in each chapter of that campaign. It all sounds rather confusing but there is no need to worry about this trophy as you will get it as you go for the Heirlooms trophy. The earliest you can unlock this trophy is if you have shot all the serpent emblems in the first 3 chapters you do (or any 3 chapters).

As I said, don't worry about this trophy. Once you have collected all 80 of the emblems go to the menu mentioned above and the trophy will unlock. Like the title trophies, you have to view the action figures in collections for the trophy to unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/EF5.jpg Stuntman (B)

Defeat 20 enemies with the Hydra using a quick shot

Note: Only Helena can use this gun, so you have to be playing as her to get the trophy.

To perform a quick shot you have to press :l1: and :r1: at the same time. This will make Helena roll and shoot a zombie that is near by. The shot has to kill the zombie and it usually will, if it's a regular zombie and your close. This trophy is easy to get if you do the quick shots with the hydra all the time and don't use the ammo for regular shots. You get 5 shotgun ammo per clip, so that's 5 zombie kills. You can do more than 20 in a single chapter if you have enough ammo. If you don't have this by the time you complete Leon's campaign then load up any chapter where zombies are available from the very start (Such as chapter 2). The trophy will unlock in game after the 20th successful hydra quick shot kill.

Take down an enemy from 50 meters away with a headshot using the thermal scope.

Note: Only Piers has the Anti-Material rifle, so you have to choose him in order to get the trophy.

Load up chapter 2 in chris' campaign, make sure you choose Piers. At the very start you team gets attacked and you crawl out of the flipped Humvee. What you want to do is switch to the anti-material rifle and go back behind the Humvee. If you want to steady your sight then press :l1:, back on the :ls: and :cross: to lie down. Now, look over at the balcony on the far side. You should see a couple of enemies over here who aren't moving. Simply press :l1: to put your scope up and then press :triangle: to switch to thermal. Aim for a headshot and fire. The trophy will unlock shortly afterwards.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/DE3.jpg High Voltage (B)

Defeat ten enemies with a stun rod charge attack.

Note: Only Sherry has access to the stun rod, so you need to make sure you are playing as her.

To execute a stun rod attack you need to hold :r1: and :l1: at the same time. Sherry will pull back and the rod will begin emitting electricity (This means it's charged and ready for the attack). Once your ready, release both buttons by an enemy and you will electrify them. You have to make sure it's a regular J'avo or the attack might not kill them, if that's the case then just use the rod charge again on the same enemy. After you have defeated 10 enemies with this attack the trophy will unlock. Play on amateur to make things easier.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/9CE.jpg Zombie Massacre (B)

Defeat 500 zombies.

Note: Zombies can only be found in Leon's campaign and a few chapters of Ada's.

You will unlock this near the end of Leon's campaign if you are killing the zombies and not running past them. If however you did run past most of them and didn't unlock the trophy don't worry. You will need to replay Leon's campaign anyway on professional difficulty and get kills with your partners weapons. So you will most certainly unlock it then. Zombies in mercenaries count too.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/9CF.jpg J'avo Genocide (B)

Defeat 500 J'avo.

Note: J'avo can only be found in Chris's, Jake's and Ada's campaign.

You will unlock this during either Chris's or Jake's campaign, depending on which one you played first. You will not kill 500 J'avo in a single campaign playthrough as i don't think there is even 500 J'avo in a single campaign. I unlocked the trophy during chapter 2 pf Jake's campaign, having completed Chris's first. If however you did run past most of them and didn't unlock the trophy don't worry. You will need to replay the campaigns anyway on professional difficulty and get kills with your partners weapons. So you will most certainly unlock it then. J'avo in mercenaries count too.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/976.jpg B.O.W.s Are Ugly (S)

Defeat 100 enemies that have come out of a chrysalid.

Note: Pretty much any B.O.W counts towards this, the description is a little misleading.

First off, a chrysalid is a cocoon sort of thing that some enemies will go into after you have killed them (You will find a few sitting around too). These cocoons eventually hatch and a strong enemy will come out of it. Once you have defeated 100 the trophy will unlock. You can look up your progress by adding up the names of the creatures below found in the records section, under enemies. Also, final bosses and such count towards this too. An enemy that has come out of a chrysalid are the following:

Strelats

A Strelat looks sort of like a lion/lizard kind of thing. It can run fast and has two types of attacks. If it's standing on its back legs it's getting ready to fire shards at you, so watch out for those. If your near it and it stands up then it's getting ready to spay poison on you, which will daze and knock you down. It doesn't have many weaknesses, just keep shooting it.

Napad

http://i45.tinypic.com/dfhxmv.png

A Napad is a big brute, sort of like a gorilla. It will charge at you and will also punch/slam it's arms into you. Your best bet is to get up behind it and keep shooting the white part on it's back. Grenades are very effective against these and so is the shotgun.

Mesets

http://i47.tinypic.com/2n1ysf4.png

These are somewhat rare and I only remember encountering them in chapter 2 of Jake's campaign. They are giant, raven like birds that fly and swoop down to attack you. The only way to kill them is simply by shooting them repeatedly. The sniper rifle is a good choice as it's long range.

Rasklapanje

http://i48.tinypic.com/1ep1qw.png

These are the purple regenerating zombies that only appear a few times throughout the game. They make strange noises and wobble around the place. If you shoot them they will eventually split in two, or even 4. Shoot the legs until they turn white, then the hands, the the torso. It will die then. They infinitely spawn in Chris's chapter 4, Jake's chapter 5 and Ada's chapter 4.

Gnezdo

These are probably the easiest to kill out of them all. They are basiaclly made up of bees to form a, human like form. All you need to do keep shooting the form until a wasp fly's out of it. Keep shooting the wasp and that will kill the whole thing. It only takes 3-4 shots with the shotgun to kill the wasp.

http://i46.tinypic.com/2urt9q8.png

Ogroman

These are giant B.O.Ws which you encounter in europe, chapter 2 of Chris' campaign and chapter 1 of Jake's campaign. They only appear a few times, and you must kill them to continue with the story. Simply keep shooting it (while in a building) and it will fall over. Once it's fallen climb on it with :r1: and spam :cross: to pull a spike out of it and stab it into it's organs, repeat twice to kill it for good.

http://i49.tinypic.com/2qukw9w.png

To check your progress go to the titles page and look up the desired enemies above in records -> enemies or dog tag customization -> titles. Furthermore you can grind this in chapter 5 of chrs' campaign:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/A59.jpg Covered in Brass (S)

Earn 150 different medals.

For a complete medal list, see this thread:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/resident-evil-6/174565-medal-list.html

There is 264 different medals in the game, 150 of those are campaign medals and the rest are spread between mercenaries and agent hunt. What you want to do is complete all 4 campaigns and then look at your medal stat in the title section of the dog tags menu. It will say x/150 (It should be around 120). You will want to earn the rest of the medals in both agent hunt and mercenaries.

Mercenaries

This is a survival type game mode where you have to kill as many zombies as you can in the given time limit, or kill limit. It's a fun game mode to play with friends and it's also a brilliant way to rack up points needed to buy the skills in campaign. There is about 50 titles to be earned here and you shouldn't need to play the mode for more than an hour.

Agent Hunt

In this mode you play as either a zombie or a j'avo, depending on the players campaign you join. There's a lot of easy medals to be earned here such as playing as a certain mutation, enemy etc. You only need to play it for about an hour to get most of the medals. It might be difficult at times to get connected as not many people allow agent hunt join as it's harder on them/ Keeping trying though and you'll eventually get into a game.

Here is a the titles you want to check to see your progress, just add the total of all 3 of them up:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/698.jpgHeirlooms (S)

Collect all the serpent emblems.

Note: At points only a specific player can get an emblem. These specific ones are:

Leon's Campaign

  • All 20 emblems can be obtained with either Leon or Helena,

Chris' Campaign

  • Chapter 2 - Emblem #2 can only be obtained with Piers.
  • Chapter 4 - Emblem #4 can only be obtained with Piers.

Jake's Campaign

  • Chapter 1 - Emblem #3 can only be obtained with Sherry
  • Chapter 3 - Emblem #1 can only be obtained with Jake.
  • Chapter 4 - Emblem #1 can only be obtained with Sherry.

Ada's Campaign

  • All 20 emblems can be obtained with Ada, as you don't have a partner

There's 80 serpent emblems in the game, 20 in each campaign, 4 in each chapter. I highly recommend using a guide as most of them are hidden away very well and are difficult to spot. Below is a video guide by PowerPyx and a text guide by VGMMDI. Once you have collected all 80 the trophy will unlock in game. You can check how many you have by going to records, profile. You can also check which specific chapters you are missing, by going to "Special Features" -> "Collectibles" then looking at which ones you are missing.

Chapter Specific Hidden Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/F54.jpg I Prefer Them Alive (B) (H)

Rescue two female survivors at the cathedral.

Note: If you are playing in co-op you will both unlock the trophy.

During chapter 2 you will reach a cathedral. After you have completed all the puzzles to open up the alter a gas B.O.W will emerge and start infecting all the survivors. I managed to do this on my first play through on normal, maybe by shear luck as the only two survivors left where 2 females. What I did was equip the semi auto sniper and keep shooting it in the head. When I ran out of ammo I used the shotgun. At one point it ran up to the balcony above and infected most of the survivors up there, so it can go up there and you can still get the trophy. You best bet is to try when you have the magnum, or you have firearms lvl 3. That way you can kill it almost instantly when it first appears. Here's a video guide by PowerPyx

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qPZG3MYccE]Resident Evil 6 - I Prefer Them Alive Trophy / Achievement Guide - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/06B.jpg Flying Ace (B) (H)

Pilot the VTOL without getting a scratch on it.

Note: You can either be Chris or Piers, the trophy will unlock either way. If you are playing in co-op you will both unlock the trophy.

At the very end of chapter 4 you will pilot a VTOL, which is basically a modern day jet. What you want to do is press :r2: whenever prompted on the screen to do a barrel roll and avoid the heat seeker missiles. You also cannot crash into anything, or you will also fail. Just keep an eye on the health gauge, if that ever starts flashing then you will need to restart the checkpoint. Just watch out for everything and keep an eye out on your health gauge. The trophy will unlock after the cutscene at the very end. Here's a video guide by PowerPyx:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpqCrimfPnQ]Resident Evil 6 - Flying Ace Trophy / Achievement Guide - YouTube[/ame]

The easiest way to get the trophy however is to use Piers. You only have to lock onto the AA guns and shoot for them to get destroyed. Work from the top right of the carrier, then go all the way around and finish at the top left and 95% of the time you won't get hit at all if your quick enough. This method also means you can see when you get hit better, as the screen goes fuzzy. Once you leap back into the VTOL the trophy will unlock.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDv7AI39El4]Resident Evil 6 - Flying Ace Trophy / Achievement Guide - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/500.jpg Hard Choice (B) (H)

Shoot the helicopter pilot with a Magnum at point-blank range.

Note: You don't even need the magnum, or have even found it. You just need to climb up the helicopter rope and shoot when you get the option. Also you have to be playing as Jake as Sherry can't climb to the top. If you are playing in co-op you will both unlock the trophy.

During chapter 4 of Jake's campaign you will be on a motorbike trying to outrun a helicopter gunship. Simply complete that, and the bit with the BSSA. You will then be tasked to go through a door and there will be some grasshopper J'avo, kill them or allow Sherry to kill them. When your ready climb to the top of the complex (either side will do, but I used the far side of where you cam in). The helicopter will eventually swoop down to drop more enemies from a rope. You now want to press :cross: to jump onto the rope. Keep mashing :square: to climb all the way up to the top, then aim at the pilot and shoot him. The trophy will unlock during the cut scene of it crashing.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1061/595.jpg Sneaking Around (B) (H)

Get through the aircraft carrier's bridge area without being noticed.

Note: Make sure you save some ammo for the crossbow for this bit, at least 5 non explosive bolts.

During chapter 4, after the confrontation with Chris and Piers coming up the elevator is when the trophy begins. You just want to stay out of the spotlights view and kill any of the enemies that are in your way, especially the J'avo in the vents as you cannot avoid them no matter what you try. Some of the things to be worried about, enemy wise:

  • Gnezdo: This is the bee structure in the sort of control room area, don't go too close or it will see you. Open the door when it is walking away and isn't close to you. If you here the sound of angry bees when you are leaving you have been spotted.
  • Cockroach J'avo: There are two of these in the vents, when you enter the vent stay put and shoot both of them. They won't notice you this way.
  • Enemies after 2nd spotlight: There's a wall with a window, inside are two enemies. Make sure you lean against the window and press :l3: to avoid being spotted by them.

When you climb out the window about halfway through and Ada says " More searchlights huh" you have to quickly run and jump over the box then slide and stay down. If you don't slide and stay down you will be spotted and have to restart. Take your time here and don't rush, it can get fiddly with the controls because of the camera angles If at any point an enemy is alerted by you or the alarm goes off you have to quit out the game, then press continue on campaign. It will bring you back to the start of the trophy. That is the safest option as if you press restart checkpoint it will put you back to the previous checkpoint. If somebody saw you in an earlier checkpoint it will mess the whole trophy up. The trophy will unlock on the loading screen after the cut-scene with Carla. Here's a video guide by PowerPyx

The guide is 90% done, I just need to add story descriptions for the story trophies and add trophies etc to the roadmap which will all be done by tomorrow night I will be adding puzzle guides for the levels that have puzzles as well and I need to take screenshots of those B.O.Ws too.

Feedback is appreciated.

For B.O.W.s are Ugly, you can add Ogroman (the giant enemies in Edonia), you get to kill only 5 per playthrough but they count. My 100th enemy was Ogroman.

Give a Little Push, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be with animation. You can use R1 prompt when they are dazed and if they fall from a high place, it counts.

Silent Killer, you need 5 stealth kills, you wrote 10 in description.

Bob and Weave, they don't need to have a weapon stuck on them, or be holding any weapons. With Melee Level 3 skill equipped you can kill a zombie with counter attack on Amateur, it's even better if you switch to your own melee weapon. It also counts if you get multiple kills when you perform the counter attack.

Good guide overall.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't sure about those B.O.Ws. Maybe the chainsaw guys and the final bosses count too? I will check. Thanks again, will correct those now :)

I've got screenshots taken of a lot of things and a few videos rendering, I'll update tonight.

I was going to mentioned them, they are technically B.O.W.s and there is Dog Tag Titles for how many times you've killed the bosses (not just final boss fight, but each encounter), but I've killed far too many Napads and Gnezdo while farming for Skill Points, so I can't confirm.

nice work, only thing i can see, is with all the controversy over coop play and what not, do all chapters need to be completed by the same character straight through or can they be mixed up? i.e. complete all chapters 1,2,3,4,5 as one character or 1,2,3 as one and 4 and 5 as another, just an example..

or does it just matter if u complete a campaign.. curious about that if it matters for difficulty trophies..

reason i ask is personally i have in chris campaign, 1 and 5 as chris and 2,3,4, as piers. all on professional
