Trophy Breakdown: 42(B) 5(S) 3(G) 1(P)

Introduction:

Story Mode:

The game plays out in an open world representing a terraformed area of Mars' surface. The world is broken into six distinct areas: Parker, Dust, Free fire zone, Oasis, the Badlands, and Eos. The player must successfully free each area from EDF control before moving onto the next.

In order to liberate an area of EDF control, the player must complete a number of specific 'story missions', as well as completing other actions, typically the destruction of key EDF targets, that reduce the EDF's presence in the area. At the same time, the player can complete various side missions, which range from rescuing hostages, retrieving new vehicles, to preventing raids on Red Faction bases, and the like, to increase the morale of civilians in the area.

Multiplayer:

Red Faction: Guerrilla's multiplayer mode uses similar role-playing elements as introduced in Battlefield 2. As the player engages in more matches, they gain experience points that will grant them bonuses; most of which take the form of superficial bonuses such as the option to add more features to character models or altering aspects of their player emblem, and have no impact on the game. Other bonuses grant players access to additional gameplay modes.

There are six game modes, including typical multiplayer modes such as individual and team deathmatches and Capture the flag. Other modes focus on teams attempting to destroy or preventing the destruction of structures; for example, "Siege" requires one team to try to destroy a set of buildings controlled by the other as fast as possible. After a set period of time, or once all targets are destroyed, the roles are reverses, and the attacking team becomes the defender. The team that manages to destroy all targets the fastest during their time as attackers wins the round.

Wrecking Crew:

Wrecking Crew features several different modes, all of which are based around causing as much damage by oneself with a set amount of resources (such as ammo, time, or both). In each round, the leading player selects one weapon and one backpack to be used, with which each other player then also uses to compete in that round.

(P)Road To Platinum(P)

If your planning to get the Platinum in this game, Then your looking at a 100 Hours+ of game playing.

Step: 1 Finish the Story Mode

There is 3 parts in the Story Mode:

- The main Story

- The Guerrilla Actions

- Collecting every thing

What you gotta do is complete each sector 100% before moving to the next one to prevent the Revolutionary Glitch. Do all guerrilla actions, collect everything in the sector you are in then focus on the main Story.

Step: 2 Wrecking Crew

Wrecking Crew Trophies are very Easy, Just a bit time consuming.

Everyday play this mode for a few hours then go to Online.

Step: 3 Multiplayer

The Multiplayer trophies are very easy, Just time consuming.

You can either get all the trophies normally playing OR Boosting them.

NOTE: There are 2 trophies that can not be boosted.

- A Winner is You! Trophy: Win 250 matchmaking games.

- Topher Would Be Proud Trophy: Play 250 matchmaking games.

If your planning to boost the other Trophies, then get A Winner is You! Trophy first because you will get most of the other Trophies while getting 250 win.

NOTE: You can check your Trophy Progress in the Statistics section of the Pause menu.

The Red Guerrilla Actions are the ones that come through Radio Calls.

The Dots represent where the missions START. They are not where you should be.

Glitch: A lot of people had problems with the Radio Calls Actions.

How does the Glitch happen: If you finish the game and then did the Guerrilla actions, there will be a huge chance that few of the Radio Calls actions wont appear, ever!.

Fix: Complete all Guerrilla actions and Radio Calls actions in the sector before moving to the next one to prevent this glitch.

It's OK if a sector was 100% then became 90% or lower, It will count as 100% because you made it 100%, You don't have to keep it 100% while rising the Morale of the other sectors.

Another thing you might want to add in the guide is...well i'll just say it:

It's best to do the 'Accumilative' Online trophies in this order:

1) Play 250 games (matchmaking)

2) Win 250 games (matchmaking)

3) Score 5000 kills

-After you unlock all the bonus events you can get alot of bonus exp for doing nothing. My fastest and most effecient way to earn kills is this:

Set the map to Quarantine, mode to Anarachy (make sure your Free-For-All character is not EDF as it is harder to get headshots on them) time to 10 minutes, kill limit to whatever (I use 25), respawn limit to 0:03, health and regeneration to 50 (not 100), starting backpack to stealth, starting weapon to rail driver. All backpack spawns should be off and weapon spawns off too.

Way to play: When spawned the target (person who dies) should press L1 to turn their spawn sheild off and then turn on their stealth backpack. The killer should find a spot in the middle of the map between the walls and look into his scope. Try for a headshot (always). When the target spawns everything should repeat (except the killer is already in his spot) Do this until the killer [obviously] has 25 kills and the match ends. Each kill should earn the killer about 14 exp (you also earn 10 exp for completing a match and 20 exp for winning it). The events (if you have unlocked them all) are:

+3 Kill, +5 Anarchy kill, +1 X-ray, +1 Ghost kill, +1 Camper, +1 No problem, +1 Unstoppable(after 5 kills), +1 Headshot

After the game has ended, start a new one and simply switch places.

4) Earn 100,000 exp total

-By now you should have quite alot of exp and will only need to flag boost (see War Veteran trophy) for a little bit

By doing it this way you will not waste any time/exp (well almost)

The best way to do the Online is getting 250 win first becouse you will get

1- Play 250 Match

2- Kill 5000

3- 14 hidden challenges

4- 70,000 XP

So whats left is boosting the 2 Hidden challenges and 30,000 XP.

I have the Platinum and i know the best way for this game

I don't see how, compared to this, anything i said was wrong? And you won't always get 5k kills with 250 wins

I don't understand, there is already a trophy guide for this game and it has all of the same information (plus more) contained within. Why did you create this thread?

And you don't have to boost any of the trophies, you can get all of them from playing. Boosting makes it go by faster, but is not required. I haven't boosted anything for this game yet and I'm well on my way towards the platinum.

And as far as the best way to get the trophies, just play and they will come. I'm probably going to get the 5,000 kills and 250 wins at roughly the same time, with 100,000 XP soon to follow. Even the hidden challenges aren't that hard if you focus on what you want to get.

(Okay, 'Crush' bonus XP is a little difficult to grab, but play Siege enough and you'll probably get it.)

First, The guy who made the first guide stooped editing it and its a mess in it and we don't want guides that not 100% complete in this forum.

Second, On your way to 250 win you will get only 60,000+ XP, and i don't think anyone wants to wait any longer to get the platinum, 30,000 XP takes a whole week to get alone but few hours with Boosting.

Third, Is BBQ Bouns XP easy?

Is Lined Up Bouns XP easy?

NO THEY ARE NOT, Not everybody will get these so they need to be boosted !

Chill duck, the dudes right, nothing NEEDS to be boosted. Its just really really hard in some cases, lol. And you didn't answer my post =|

You didn't say anything wrong in the old post, It just you will get 5,000 kill on your way to 250 win, I had 6,000 kills when i reached 250 win.

And about the boosting thing, You Can Get All The Trophies With Out Boosting, All I'm saying is its Best to boost because its way faster then normal playing

Actually, BBQ is pretty easy to get. Jetpack + Arc Welder + Enemy is Organized = Easy BBQ. I've gotten quite a few of them.

Lined Up is a little trickier, but if you learn where the Rail Driver is on each map and dedicate yourself to using it, you'll get it.

I didn't boost either and I have the plat. I tried to get people to boost here on this site for bbq and lined up its all listed in the posts here. BBQ is just a jet pack and arc welder thanks to Hobbez for info on that. Just couldn't get anybody. When I got my second lined up by mistake I didn't kill anybody apparantly you just have to shoot thru two players. That made it a lot easier and how I got mine. Then I just started plugging away at the 100000 XP and got everything on my way to the 100000 XP. Had to continue to 120000 because I wanted the Ostrich hammer.

I figured out how to plat the game when the guerrilla missions where giving everybody headaches. Now that it is fixed I see a lot more plats. Everything will come before you get the 100000 XP so just plug away at that.

Sorry for the double post.

If you are re-doing the guide and want to get it right.

You need to make some changes, run a spell checker and proof it again.

75 hours can only be down by boosting. Not everybody will have the same luxury as you did. On an average you will get approximately 100 to 150XP per online game. Matches are approximately 10 mins. each.

If you are lucky you can play 6 matches in an hour most likey 4-5. That alone is way over 100 hours

and the campaign collecting all the ores and what not will take approx. 30 hrs. I should know, I did it the old fashioned way I earned it. So doing the online in 45 hours that's miraculous. Many other games here are listed at 100+ so should this one.

The Martian Tea Party Trophy is not earned by completeing the first two missions. You get the trophy by completeing the first two liberation missions, which technically are the 5 and 6th missions. You have 4 missions that you have to complete before the Yellow icons appear. You have two house arrests and two EDF assualts that you have to do first.

Missing radio calls will not cause a 2nd play through.

Patch 1.01 on 8/9/09 fixed many problems.

So anybody that loads the game now will automatically have the patch installed. So most of your comments concerning the guerrilla missions are moot.

Working the Land Trophy many times I only got one red crystal and is was worth 12 points. So do not tell everyone that they have to stay there until they get two red crystals. You can tell them they need to get 12 salvage points either by a single 12 (10 if they didn't by the ore upgrade) or two 6(5)'s.

Revolutionary trophy is no longer missable or difficult. All radio calls come back to you after the campaign in the order you missed them. I know I have helped many players with this trophy before and after the fix. I have seen a couple of players who were in the middle of a campaign, when thye installed that patch, still have problems.

You are missing a new wrecking crew mode and 4 new wrecking crew maps

Wrecking Crew Trophy can be accomplished on the same mode and map you suggested but play first to 5 with 5 players and make sure a different player wins each time since you are playing all players. Each players time last 60 seconds so each round last approximately 6-7 minutes. A whole match will take about 2 hours. You will accumulate approx. 12-15 million. So this can be done in about 4 hours.

Wow tripledt, Thats a good speech :p and Thanks, I'll edit the guide soon

But there is 2 things im not sure about :

Martian Tea Party :

liberation missions, You mean the main mission ? The Yellow ones ?

If " YES " then i didn't say anything wrong.

And about the new Wrecking Crew, Do they need to play the new maps and mode to get the Trophy ?

When writing and making corrections you need to put your ego aside.

Your statement below is missleading.

"Just finish the first 2 mission in Parker Sector." (mission needs an s (proofing))!

Make it "2 storyline missions" or add "2 liberation missions" this would clarify the statement a little better. Plus this will distinguish them from the guerrilla missions.

Remember when you are making a guide it is for someone who has never played or looked at the game.

I know you know what you are saying, but are you re-laying the information without confusing someone? That is one of the biggest problems with guides. They are not for pros like you, sure they help you out.

Mainly they are for peolpe who need the help. Your job as a writer is to help them, not confuse them. When you finish a guide, take a step back. Re-read it as someone who has never played the game. Are you clear on your descriptions? I have read your guide and know exactly what you are taking about, becuase I have played the game. But when I read it as if I have never played the game. It is quite confusing. Just trying to help.

Here is an example: Working the Land Trophy

NOTE: If 1 Red Crystal came out, It will not count as you destroyed the Ore, Keep Destroying it to get the 2nd Red Crystal (Needs proofing.)

This statement is not true and is missleading.

Many times I used L1(overhead swing) to bust up the ore and would get 12 salvage points in one swing. Now if someone new comes along and busts one up and get 10/12 right off the bat, they are going to keep it up until a second comes out and get frustrated because it never happens and the guide said to. This is what I mean.

I know what you are talking about and you know what you are talking about.(you are warning them to be careful, that sometimes one small crystal will come out worth 6 salvage points and may need get another.)

But will someone else figure out what you trying to say, before they get frustrated and complain about your guide. I am sure that is not your intent.

Wrecking Crew

I was told by one player he had to. But have not verified that with anybody else. I will post a thread to verify?

Umm umm umm umm umm. Might want to throw in to the wrecking crew 25 mill trophy that you earn more points when the building destroys itself by collapsing than by a missle hitting it. Also, i know you do get the most points on complex, but does anyone know if any of the new maps offer more points per round?

Looks like they do not need them. But to be a good guide you should list the others mark them that they are not required. Otherwise somebody is going to look at the list and do them anyway or get confused that they are there and wonder. You can add them put an * and say patch related not required for trophy. Then your readers would be happy.
