This guide will show you where and how to complete the challenges to make your life that much easier when going for your Redeemed trophy.

Master Hunter

To be able to even start this challenge you must kill and skin a coyote.

-Master Hunter 1

-Collect 5 coyote pelts

Coyotes can be found in many different places around the world but the best place to find them is on the outskirts of the MacFarlane. South of Armadillo is where your map says they can be found but they're also in abundance around the MacFarlane Ranch. Coyotes are smaller than wolves so you can tell the difference. Coyotes will also make a sound when they're in the area. Try to find them at night or dusk as that's when I found them the easiest. If you're still having trouble finding them then use bait in the area to attract them to you. Coyotes normally travel in small packs of 2 or 3 so if you kill one quickly look around to see if the others are in the area. Once you kill a coyote go up to it and press :triangle: to skin it. Do that for 5 of them and you will have gained a hunter rank.

-Master Hunter 2

-Collect 5 deer pelts

Once again deer can be found almost anywhere. Deer are quick and on site they will run away so you need to be quick. Ride your horse and run around Armadillo again looking for deer. Make sure that they don't have antlers as those are bucks and they don't count. They can be easily found around Armadillo but there are better places later in the game. If you've reached West Elizabeth then the Tall Trees is easily the best spot for deer. They will go down in 1 or 2 hits. If you don't even worry about this hunt you will come across enough deer in your travels to do this challenge 30 times over. Once you kill the deer skin is to get its pelt. Repeat this 4 more times and you will gain a hunter rank.

-Master Hunter 3

-Kill 5 wolves with your melee knife and collect their pelts

This will be your most challenging hunt yet, though that isn't saying much. The only reason this one can be difficult is because wolves travel in pretty large packs of 5 or 6. This can prove difficult especially when you need to have them close enough to knife. Wolves are found in a number of locations the most prominent being the Tall Trees. They are everywhere there and I think you could safely say that it's harder to not find them there then it is to actually find them there. If you don't want to have to wait to unlock West Elizabeth though you can find them south of Armadillo and on the western side of map near Gaptooth Ridge. Look for them at night as that's when you will find them the easiest. You will know they are around because you will hear them howl when they're close. Bait works great for this challenge. Once you find the wolf pack take out your knife and wait for them to run at you. Once they are close quickly knife them. It will take 1 or 2 knife hits to kill it. Once it's dead skin it and repeat the process 4 more times to gain a rank.

-Master Hunter 4

-Collect 5 boar tusks and 3 armadillo carapaces

Remember how I said the last one was your hardest one yet? Yea this one is harder because of the fact that boars are tough to find. We'll start off with the easy one, armadillos. They can be found on the outskirts of the town of Armadillo, yea who would've thought. If you're looking around there look to the west of the town in the fields and you will find them. They are much easier to find south of the border in Mexico however. They are found all over the Perdido area. Look for them at night because that's when they come out of hiding. You will hear a quiet pig noise they they are around so keep an ear out. They'll go down in one shot no problem so when they are dead skin them to get the carapaces. Repeat that 2 more times and you'll be half way done the rank.

Boars are not as easy as the armadillos. Boars can be found near Bearclaw camp, Thieve's Landing and the Tall Trees. These 3 areas are the best locations we have for hunting boar. Boar are pretty easy to spot and come out much more during the day. They'll go down in about 2 or 3 shots and then you will simply need to skin them to get their tusks. Kill and skin 5 boar and you will have the gained a rank. Good luck finding them.

-Master Hunter 5

-Kill 2 cougars with your melee knife and collect their pelts

The best place to find cougars is just north of the buffalo symbol on the Great Plains. Look for them during the day. They tend to be around the cliff edges in that area. Definitely use bait to attract them to you. Once you find one take out your knife and wait for it. This is much harder than killing a wolf with your knife as the cougar knocks you down with one hit as well as almost kills you. You are going to want to sprint up to it when it's crouched down in the grass and get knife hits in. After 1 or 2 knife hits it may start to run away. Chase it down on your horse and finish it off as it will take 3 or 4 hits to kill. Skin it and repeat the process again to beat the rank challenge.

-Master Hunter 6

-Collect 5 raccoon pelts, 5 skunk pelts, and 5 fox pelts

Foxes are easy to find so start with them. There are a ton of them in the Tall Trees area. Look for them in the greener parts of Tall Trees and search for them at dusk. They only take one hit so it should prove to be no problem. They normally travel in small packs of about 3 or 4 so take one out and move onto the next. You should get your 5 pelts in no time.

Raccoons are found in the Tall Trees area and the area surrounding the MacFarlane ranch. Look at night as that's the only time you can find them. They are tough to find since they are a dark color and you can only see them at night but just keep looking on the ground and you'll see them. Kill and skin 5 of them to meet one of the requirements.

Skunks are the biggest pain of the 3 to hunt. Go to the MacFarlane ranch and look around the surrounding area. Make sure you're searching at night as they are much easier to find then. These guys are really hard to find because they blend in well with everything especially if your brightness is turned down. They do travel in small packs of 2 or 3 so keep your eyes out. Kill and skin 5 of them to finish up this rank challenge.

-Master Hunter 7

-Collect 5 elk meat and 5 bighorn skins

Both are found in the Tall Trees area. They are normally found near each other actually. I start by looking around the word "Tree" on your map as that's where I find them most of the time. Both are very scared and will run when they spot you so make sure to kill them quick. Kill 5 bighorn sheep and 5 elk then skin them and you will have beaten the rank challenge.

-Master Hunter 8

-Kill a bear with your melee knife and collect its pelt

Bears are found in the Tall Trees area. They are found north and north east of Bearclaw camp and I always find them near the very north. Bears aren't that hard to find and you shouldn't have much trouble. The trouble you will really have is actually killing one with your knife. Bears will charge at you and they can take you down in 2 hits. Also when they hit you they knock you down leaving you vulnerable for a second hit. You don't need to only hurt it with a knife just make sure you finish it with a knife. Shoot the bear until it starts to run away from you and then chase it down and knife it. If it turns around you should fall back to a safer spot and regroup. Do that process until the bear is dead. Once the bear is dead skin it and you will have gained a hunter rank.

-Master Hunter 9

-Search Ojo Del Diablo for “Khan” the legendary jaguar and collect its pelt

He is found near a big circular rock formation in Ojo Del Diablo. He will be on top of the mountain there. Bait is very useful on this hunt. Once you see him he will become a red blip on your map. Don't worry he's not much harder than a normal cougar but he's much faster. Take him down with your rifles and shotguns and you should be fine. Skin him after he's dead and you will gain a rank.

-Master Hunter 10

-Search Aurora Basin, Stillwater Creek, and Nekoti Rock for “Lobo” the legendary wolf, “Gordo” the legendary boar, and “Brumas” the legendary bear and collect their pelts

Lobo is pretty easy to find actually. He's found in the Aurora Basin area next to the lake that is there. Once you see him he will appear as a red blip on your map. You may need to use bait to get him out of hiding. He's not much different from normal wolves so a few shots with a rifle shout do it. Once you kill it skin him and you're a third of the way done this challenge.

Gordo is in Stillwater Creek near Thieve's Landing. He's in a open field area there. He's almost right on the words Stillwater Creek on your map. He will turn up as a red blip on your map when you've spotted him. This one is the easiest of the 3 to kill. Kill him with a few rifle shots, skin him and you're that much closer to being a master hunter.

Brumas is located at the very top of Nekoti Rock above the Tall Trees area. He will come up as a red blip on your map when you see him. This is the hardest of the 3 to kill but it's still just like a normal bear. Kill him and skin him along with the other 2 and you will have completed the challenge and become a master hunter.

Survivalist

To start this challenge you will need to pick a Wild Feverlew. I highly suggest that for these challenges you use a Survivalist map as they help you locate any flowers in the area. It prevents you from having to be right next to the flower for it to come on up on your map. These maps last for 20 real time minutes until you get to rank 5 and then they will last longer. They can be bought at any general store.

-Suvivalist 1

-Collect 6 Wild Feverfew

These flowers are found just about everywhere in the world but you can find them easily in Hennigan’s Stead and Cholla Springs. They are are small bush of white flowers. Collect 6 of this very abundant flower and you will gain a rank.

-Survivalist 2

-Collect 6 Desert Sages

Desert Sages are found in and around Gaptooth Ridge. They are a bush of purple flowers. Collect 6 of them to gain a rank.

-Survivalist 3

-Collect 4 Red Sage Plants

Found in and around Rio Bravo; the Red Sage is a red cluster of flowers. They are hard to see because they blend in with the desert sand well but using a survivalist map will get you past this rank in no time. Once you find and pick 4 of them you will gain a rank.

-Survivalist 4

-Collect 8 Prickly Pears

The Prickly Pear can be found in and around Punto Orgullo but can also be found just about everywhere in Mexico. They look like a cluster of small cactus' with red and orange flowers. Collect 8 of them and you will gain a rank.

-Survivalist 5

-Collect 7 Wooly Blue Curls

Wooly Blue Curls can be found in and around Perdido. It is a bush with blue and purple flowers that stick out of it. Collect 7 of them to gain a rank.

-Survivalist 6

-Collect 8 Butterfly Weeds

They can be found in and around Diez Coronas. They are not only located in the grass in this area but also on the rocks that completely surround the area. It is a bright yellow flower and it's pretty tough to find. Unlike the other plants that are in big clusters or in a bush this one has one or two flowers and that's it. I highly suggest a Survivalist map for this one because even with one on these things can still be tough to find. After you find and collect 8 of them you will gain a rank.

-Survivalist 7

-Collect 10 Hummingbird Sage Plants

These can be found in and around Tall Trees area. They are found in the grassier areas and you can find most of them near the trading post in the Tall Trees. They are a cluster of white flowers and they're really easy to spot since they are in a grassy area. Collect 10 and you will rank up.

-Survivalist 8

-Collect 12 Prairie Popies

These are found in and around the Great Plains. Go to your map and set a waypoint at the buffalo symbol on your map. Travel there look at your Survivalist map. Once used ride around that area and be amazed at how many of these things there are in this area. They are patches of yellow flowers and are tough to miss. Collect 10 to gain the rank.

-Survivalist 9

-Collect 15 Golden Currants

Golden Currants are found in and around the Great Plains also. They are around the outside edges of the Great Plains. The Prairie Popies are on the inside and the Golden Currants form a circular wall around them. They are tall green bushes are are hard to miss. Collect 15 and you will rank up.

-Survivalist 10

-Collect 10 Violet Snowdrops and collect 2 more of every herb available

These are found in and around the snow-covered parts of Tall Trees. You NEED a Survivalist map for this one. These things blend in with the small pieces of grass in the snowy areas and I don't know how you could find them without one. They are very small clusters of violet flowers. Once you collect these go back and collect 2 of every other herb and you have completed the challenge.

Sharpshooter

To start this challenge you need to shoot a flying bird. Just look up into the sky and shoot one down.

-Sharpshooter 1

-Shoot and Kill 5 Flying Birds

Birds are found everywhere in the world. Just look up in the sky and you will see birds flying above you. Take out your rifle as it's longer range and more accurate and shoot down 5 of them to you'll rank up.

-Sharpshooter 2

-Shoot and Kill 5 Rabbits

I suggest you look for Rabbits either south of Armadillo or the surrounding area of the MacFarlane ranch. Search for them at night as they are more prevalent then. They are quick so either aim fast or use dead eye. Kill 5 of them and you'll rank up.

-Sharpshooter 3

-Kill 5 Coyotes without taking any Coyote damage

Look for Coyotes south of Armadillo or the surrounding area of the MacFarlane ranch. Search for them at night as that is when they are out the most. Get on your horse and ride around the area. Make sure to listen for their howls. Once you hear them look for them around you and kill them before they can reach you. Do this with 5 Coyotes and you will rank up.

-Sharpshooter 4

-Kill 5 flying birds from a moving train

Look on your map for the train. There is a red icon for the western half of the of the map and a blue icon for the eastern half. Travel to the icon by horse as you should be able to catch it on horseback. You can either ride along side the train on your horse and press :square: on one of its open parts to jump onto it or you could wait for it to enter a station. Get on top of the train and climb one of the ladders on the train cars so that you're on top of it. Then ride on the train and look in the sky for birds and shoot them down. Once you shoot your 5th bird you will rank up.

-Sharpshooter 5

-Kill any 2 different types of animals in 1 Dead Eye Meter

This one is really easy. Go into any place on the map and look for a species of animal. Then once you find one try to see if there are any birds or other animals in the area. Enter dead eye mode and mark the 2 different species of animal and shoot. Once you kill them you will rank up.

-Sharpshooter 6

-Shoot the hat's off 2 different people's heads

First you're going to want to enter a town such as Armadillo or Blackwater and look in the saloons; You will find a lot of people wearing cowboys hats inside. For this you must shoot off their hats without them dieing. Get right next to the guy wearing the hat and enter dead eye mode to ensure your aim is hitting the person's hat and not his head. Aim for either the brim or the very, very top of the hat. Once you shoot off 2 hats you will get the rank.

-Sharpshooter 7

-Kill 3 Bears with a single head shot each

Well first thing is first you need to find the bears. They can easily be found in the northern snowy areas of the Tall Trees. Once you find a bear allow it to get close to you and enter dead eye. Make sure you have either your shotgun or sniper out and shoot it in the head. It should go down in one hit easily. Do this 2 more times and you will rank up.

-Sharpshooter 8

-Shoot the hats off two people's heads AND disarm 2 people

Look above for how to shoot off hats. To disarm a person aim for their gun and shoot. This is MUCH easier in dead eye. I suggest you start trouble in a saloon because you can get close to people without them shooting at you. Pull out your gun and aim for their gun. As long as you don't shoot the person you will not lose honor or gain bounty. This has to be done on 4 different people. So you can't shoot the hat off and disarm the same person.

-Sharpshooter 9

-Kill any 6 wild animals including birds, without reloading or changing weapons

This one is really easy. Get out a rifle with a high amount of ammo in its clip such as the Evan's Repeater and go out into the wild looking for animals. It can be the same kind of animal 6 times it doesn't matter as long as you kill 6 of them without reloading or changing weapons.

-Sharpshooter 10

-Disarm 6 enemies without reloading or changing weapons

Well use your knowledge of disarming and your knowledge of shooting and not reloading and put them together. Use a pistol as they are less powerful and have less of a chance of killing the target. Go into a saloon and take out your weapon. Aim at someone at a poker table or at the bar and the whole saloon will break out into chaos. Go into dead eye mode and set markers on all of their guns. Once you disarm the 6 people you will have completed the challenge.

two things i can say to help

skunks can be found in the bacaneras area of mexico...i believe it is east of chuparosa, and is a very small area, but i found all 5 skunks in one game nighttime there, the area is teeming with skunks

also, to kill bears with the knife, do as follows

shoot it twice in the body with a bolt action rifle, then it should take 3 swipes to kill...if you run around its initial charge just chase it with the knife

MAKE SURE TO CLEAR THE SURROUNDING AREA OF WOLVES THEY SMELL WHEN THE BEAR IS WEAK

Yea I know I'm in the process of finishing that last bit now. I was paranoid I would accidently close the tab or something so I wanted to get it up ASAP.

Damn i think my game is glitched or something. I can't pick up the 6th treasure. I'm standing over it spamming triangle but nothing. The prompt wont show. Tried saving and returning and reseting with no luck.

Thanks for the guide though. I was hoping someone would make one for the challenges.

Great guide! Sure this will help me a lot, thanks! :D

As for Boars, I thought it would pretty hard to find at first, but turns out that I found'em easily by going up north from MacFarlane's Ranch (cause I saw Boar's mark on the map there, just on top of the railroad's tri-junction :)) and there're like 7 - 8 Boars on the downslope of the hill. Oh, I found'em at night time...

Hope this info helps :)
