Rayman_Overview.png

This is the latest in the Rayman series, and the follow up to the hit platformer Rayman Origins. Run, jump and punch your way through the levels and save the Teensies along the way. Just look out for toads in wetsuits, flaming eyeballs and massive killer luchadors!

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/rayman-legends/209331-platinum-difficulty-rating.html (6/10)
  • Offline trophies: 43 (33(B), 8(S), 2(G))
  • Online trophies: 8 (5 (B), 2 (S), 1(P))
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum: 30-40 hours (1-6 months of daily challenges to get the final rank of awesomeness depending on skill)
  • Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 (plus the daily/weekly challenges)
  • Number of missable trophies: 0
  • Glitched trophies: 1 (Truly Awesome!) This does not glitch for everyone, but with server issues it is better to be safe than sorry so pay attention to the workarounds given in the trophy description and roadmap.
  • Do cheat codes disable trophies? No Cheats
  • Accessories Required? 2 controllers needed for Just kick it!

Glitched Trophy Warning

Truly Awesome! is currently glitched for some due to Ubisoft's servers having issues meaning that you could hit the 6000 points required (see individual trophy description) but not get the trophy. To workaround this there are a couple of ways you can go. The easiest way is to leave a few single player levels in each world painting unplayed so that when you reach around 5900 points you can play these single player levels which will give you gold cups, and also Diamond cups for saving all the Teensies in those world paintings taking you over the 6000 mark and giving you the trophy. If you've already completed all single player levels then it's advised to backup your save on a USB, or using the cloud, when you're nearing 6000 points then continue the online challenges and if the trophy doesn't pop overwrite the save with the backup and try again until it does.

Rayman_Walkthrough.png

Step 1: Play through all 5 Main World Paintings, saving all Teensies and getting gold Lum cups in each level

This is the main step of the game, working your way through the levels one by one. They get progressively harder as you go, but those familiar with Rayman Origins should get through most of the levels easily enough. There are lots of checkpoints well spread out through the levels, and no lives restricting you, so even if you're struggling you'll get through them eventually!

Teensies are small blue folk that you'll have to rescue throughout the levels, they'll usually be caged, but some can be tied to poles or even hidden underground. You can usually hear that they are nearby as they let out a cry when you get close enough. In each level every Teensy you find gets added into a slot, the amount of slots are the amount of Teensies that are available in that level. You can see how many you can currently get in each world painting above the entrance to it.

Lums are the small yellow floating creatures that you need to collect a certain amount of per level. Usually they come in bunches and the first will be purple, if you grab that it counts as 2 lums instead of 1 and then turns the next lum in line to purple as well. This is the key to getting the amount of lums you need. You can see the amount of lums you have per level in the top corner of the screen.

Make sure to keep your eye on the misc trophies, several will come through normal play, but you should focus on the level specific ones (Let him do the job, Bouncing Island, Splinter Ray)and picking every sprout you see out of the ground to help with Gardener.

To help find every Teensy please use this guide from ShadowStrife;

Step 2: Complete all Invasion Levels

As long as you've saved all Teensies in every level you've played then after you've beaten the final boss in the last world painting you'll have access to all the Invasion levels. These are short levels that you need to complete in under 40 seconds in order to save all 3 Teensies. Make sure to hold down :r2: to make you sprint.

Here's a fantastic guide by Wozamil to help you through them;

Invasion Levels Walkthroughs

In this step you will earn;

That was fast! (B)

Swiped clean! (B)

Step 3: Complete the Living Dead Party paintings

Now you should have enough Teensies to unlock the Living Dead Party world painting. Inside here are 7 levels, the majority of which are 8 bit remixes of the musical levels you'll have already played! There are a multitude of different screen effects going on within these levels to try and make you fail, and you must complete each level in one run. This is the hardest test in the game, but the levels do play exactly like their originals. If you need to, go back and play the original level and learn it, come back and play the 8 bit version trying to remember the path.

Good luck!

In this step you will earn;

World Tour! (G)

Step 4: Scratch all Lucky Tickets and play through Back To Origins

You receive lucky tickets if you get a certain amount of lums within a level, and by scratching these tickets you can get Lums, Creatures, Teensies and Back To Origins levels. These are exact replicas of the levels from Rayman Origins, but with Teensies hidden within them to find. Access it through the Back to Origins world painting and then play through them all, scratching the Lucky Tickets as you receive them for completing these levels.

In this step you will earn;

The chosen one (G)

Lucky! (B)

Scratch me! (S)

They're so cute! (B)

I just love them! (S)

Master of the locks (B)

Bronze Addict (B)

Silver Addict (B)

Gold Addict (B)

Diamond Addict (S)

Nostalgia (B)

Old school (S)

Step 5: Play a round of Kung Foot, take part in the Daily and Weekly Challenges and grind out Lums

*If you need to find someone with this game to add to your friends list please use the Boosting Thread*

Kung Foot is a small mini game that involves slapping the ball into the opposition's net. You'll need 2 controllers to play this and get the trophy. Once this is done go and play the Daily and weekly challenges available and make sure to come back on a daily basis and play any new ones that are there. You'll also need to beat a friend's score in the challenges 30 times (not 30 different scores, you can beat the same score 30 separate times). It will potentially take a few months until you reach the 11th and final level of Awesomeness!

You also need to get to 1 million lums. This should come as you go for the final level of Awesomeness, winning cups from the challenges give you several thousand lums, but if you like you could grind out the lums by replaying your favourite levels.

In this step you will earn;

Just kick it! (B)

Everywhere! (B)

First steps (B)

On the way to the top! (B)

A true champion (B)

I'm ahead! (B)

The competitor (S)

Sooo rich! (S)

Truly awesome! (S)

Legendary (P)

Once you've got over 400 Teensies you will unlock the Living Dead Party painting. Inside are 7 levels, which are 8 bit remixes of the other musical levels you've already played, but this time with a lot of strange screen effects to put you off! The routes are exactly the same as before, so if you need to refresh your memory you can go back and play the originals. Good luck.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/664.jpg The chosen one (G)

Rescue all the kidnapped Teensies

You rescue teensies either by freeing them within levels or winning them from Lucky Ticket scratch cards. You will need to find each and every one of them to get this trophy. Most of them are in plain sight, but others are hidden away and require a bit more exploring to find. Keep your ears open for their cry of "Help!" and try to check every nook and cranny. When you find a Teensie it will fill a slot in the gold meter shown at the top of your screen that shows how many there are to find. In the levels with 10 of them to find they go into the slots in the order that you should find them in the level. So if you collect a Teensy and it leaves a gap between it and the others you've collected, it means you've missed one.

Here's a series of fantastic videos from ShadowStrife showing the locations of all the Teensies in every level;

Scratch 10 lucky tickets

See Scratch me!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/D13.jpg Scratch me! (S)

Win and scratch all the lucky tickets

Lucky Tickets are given when you collect a certain amount of lums in a level. You'll need to get one from every level and then scratch them all (moving the analog sticks to control the hands across the screen), you can find them in the menu (press :triangle: to open the menu).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/EF1.jpg We could be heroes (B)

Collect enough lums to unlock 10 Heroes paintings in the Heroes Gallery

You unlock hero paintings (playable characters) once you've hit a certain amount of lums. To unlock 10 you'll need 100,000 lums.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/A13.jpg Sooo rich! (S)

Gather 1 million lums and unlock the final Hero

This will take some time and a fair bit of grinding. After completing the game fully you should have around 500,000 lums! You do receive bonuses for completing daily challenges, and make sure to visit the creatures painting daily as the creatures you found in the Lucky Tickets give you a set amount of lums per day. If you have them all they give you 1000 lums. You may get this naturally whilst going for Truly awesome!

If you'd like you can play through your favourite levels repeatedly until you reach your target. A good level for that is the last level in Olympus Maximus, A Cloud of Darkness. This level includes the credits, and by smashing those you can get 999 lums very quickly. Sadly 999 lums is the most you can get in one level so you'd need to then skip the credits and replay the level again.

Win 30 creatures

See I just love them!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/D0F.jpg I just love them! (S)

Win all the creatures

Creatures can only be won through using the scratch cards you unlock for receiving a certain amount of lums in a level. There are 60 creatures in all and you won't get this until you've completed almost every level in the game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/827.jpg Master of the locks (B)

Break all the locks on the worlds' and levels' paintings

Most levels are unlocked after you reach a certain amount of Teensies saved, but to get this trophy you also need to unlock all the Back to Origins levels that can only be unlocked through Lucky Tickets.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/B5A.jpg Invaders! (B)

Save enough Teensies and get rid of the Dark Teensies to make all the Invasion paintings appear

The Dark Teensies are the masterminds behind all the nastiness that's going on. After defeating the boss in a world painting you'll chase after the Dark Teensy and eventually he'll get stuck allowing you to give him a mighty punch! If you're saving every Teensy from every level as you go (which you should be trying to do) then you will unlock this after punching the fifth and final Dark Teensy into space.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/4DF.jpg That was fast! (B)

Go fast enough to save 3 Teensies in an Invasion painting

Invasion paintings are unlocked after you've saved enough Teensies and are speed runs that will put your skills to the test. Simply complete one of these in under 40 seconds to save all 3 Teensies and get the trophy.

See this fantastic Invasion Paintings Guide by Wozamil :)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/858.jpg Perfect! (B)

Get the 3 lums cups and the 3 Teensy cups of a painting

To get this you need to find all Teensies within a level and get a certain amount of lums. You should do this on the very first level, search thoroughly for the Teensies and get more than 600 lums before the finish - this will net you the trophy!

To get a Diamond Cup in a world painting you will need to get Gold Cups in every level within that world painting. To do this you need to rescue every Teensy from every level, either by finding them locked away or by beating the Invasion levels in under 40 seconds. There's 691 Teensies to find to get this trophy. You can see how many Teensies you have in a world painting above its entrance.

NOTE: For the Bronze, Silver and Gold Addict trophies the lum cups also count towards it. Make sure to get the Gold lum cup in each level as you go.

In one run of "Lucha Libre Get Away", let the Luchador kill 10 enemies for you

This is a level in the Fiesta De Los Muertos world painting, in it you're being chased by a giant luchador. The aim here is to not kill any of the enemies that are in your way, just jump over them and let the Luchador run through them. If you die in the middle of the level it seems to reset the count, but if you get a few kills in the final section of the level these carry over. I had the Luchador kill 2 enemies in the final section, then replayed the level and made him kill the first 8 which made the trophy pop.

In several levels in the first few world paintings you will find toads in wetsuits that shoot electrified balls at you. These balls reflect off walls and can kill them, and this is what you need to do. There are many occasions where this can be done easily, just keep your eyes open for these opportunites and don't kill the toads straight away!

Here's an easy spot to farm this courtesy of Wozamil;

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1526/8E8.jpg Splinter Ray (B)

Go through "Mansion of the Deep" without crossing any light from a Dark Sentry or touching any laser

Mansion of the Deep can be found in 20,000 Lums Under the Sea. You'll need to be careful making your way through the level dodging all sentry lights and lasers. If the lights turn red for even a fraction of a second you'll need to completely exit the level and try again, for some reason selecting to restart the level after setting off an alarm or touching a laser can void the trophy.

If you've completed the level and the trophy hasn't popped, this might be your problem:

In the room on the left of the lift, continue on as normal and after turning off the electricity further in you need to head back towards the lift area. In the part where you need to jump up to the higher level to avoid the sentry lights, make sure not to touch the lightbulb that is up there. Even if you smashed it on your first run through that room, if you step on it it will sometimes set off an alarm for a split second (the sentry light below you quickly flashes red) and nulls this trophy. Jump over it and continue on your way.

Also be careful not to fall into the fish tank in that area too, if you fall in here it counts as an alarm so be wary!

Unlock all the Challenge paintings

You will unlock all Challenge paintings when you reach Awesomeness level 7. You receive awesomeness points for getting cups in levels and daily/weekly challenges. You will reach this through normal play of the game if you get a gold cup in every level as you go.

Take part at least once in the 4 different Challenges

There are always 4 challenges available so once you reach Awesomeness level 7 just set a score in all 4 to get this.

Win a Bronze cup at the end of a Challenge

*These trophies pop after the challenges have finished and you receive the message confirming where you placed*

When you set a score in a challenge you will be put in a bracket in comparison to everyone else in the world that has played that level. You can see where you are on the large scoreboard shown before entering the challenge. What cup you get is determined by where you finish in regards to everyone else who's taken the challenge. Here is how it works if 1000 took the challenge (thanks to Arkafazin for this example);

Rank 901-1,000 would get no cup (90-100%)

Rank 501-900 would get a bronze (50-90%)

Rank 201-500 would get a silver (20-50%)

Rank 11-200 would get a gold (1-20%)

Rank 1-10 would get a diamond (1%)

Of course if more than 1000 people take the challenge the range of positions you could finish in would change, but the percentage stays the same. To get this you would need to finish in the Bronze (50-90%) bracket when the challenge ends.

Challenges can be replayed as many times as you like before the time runs out if you wish to improve your score, or if you're not in the cup bracket that you require.

In the Main Gallery you will see a painting that says "Challenges", in here are the daily and weekly challenges that you can take part in against people from all over the world. You'll need someone on your friends list to have the game and to set a time/score in a certain challenge. Then all you need to do is beat that time/score 30 times. You do not need to beat 30 different times/scores, you can just replay one challenge and beat a friend's score repeatedly to get this.

Reach the final level of Awesomeness

Warning: Glitched for some, see the Roadmap for workarounds

You gain Awesomeness from collecting cups from levels, Diamond cups are worth 50 points, Gold are 10, Silver are 5, and Bronze are 1. You should reach Awesomeness level 10 just by finishing the game and collecting all the Teensies. To reach the 11th and final level you'll need to play the Daily and Weekly challenges to get the remaining awesomeness points you require (should be around 2000).

Daily and Weekly challenges are timed challenges that last either a day or a week that you can win cups in. For getting a cup in these challenges you receive Awesomeness points. You can see how many you have in the "My Stuff" section of the menu. Depending on your skill level this could take anywhere from 20 days if you get a Diamond cup every day to around 2000 days if you can only get bronze. It's also possible that you can go away without a cup if you really struggle with the challenges, and then this will take a lot longer.

To put it bluntly, this will take a lot of dedication.

You don't need to re-enter the challenge painting for the message to pop up. It can pop after completing a level etc..

Oh, and you forgot to say to add Kahuna for easy friend challenge trophies! :whistle:

:rofl: Should I add a section called "People to add as friends who are a bit rubbish at daily challenges?"

I didn't realise that about when challenges pop up as I'm usually just hanging around the challenge are now!

Hey just letting you know when you do the turnip combo where you ground pound the turnip, and kick it out of the air, you don't need to press square and up, you can just press square in the air, direction doesn't matter!

Also, are the cup challenges stackable? For instance, if I were to get a gold or diamond cup on a challenge, would it also give me the silver and bronze ones?

No. You'd only get multiple trophies in one day if you get different values on other challenges.

I'm going to play the game in the very near future, btw do you know if the Vita version has another separate trophy list?

The Vita list is completely different mate. See here.

Great guide!

I did have a couple questions that I hope you can answer though.

1) Are there any speed trophies similar to Rayman Origins (those were the time trial modes in Origins which required you to beat the level within a certain time limit) in this game? If not, are there any reasons to replay a level if I rescued all the Teensies and got the gold trophy on my first run?

2) Will you have a guide up for the Teensies locations in every level (video or written) anytime soon? I'm just starting the game myself and I'd like to have a guide to all of them to cut down on the time spent on having to replay stages to look for all the ones I missed.

3) As far as difficulty goes, is this game harder or easier to get the platinum compared to Rayman Origins?

Thanks :D And I'll try to answer for you;

1) There are several Invasion levels that you need to complete in under 40 seconds, but other than that and the challenges no speed runs! Once you've got all the Teensies and the gold cup for the lums there is no need to replay a level again (unless you've missed one of the few misc trophies).

2) Most are easy enough to find, and they do appear in the gold belt (can't think of a better word for it!) in the order you should find them in the level. I'll be honest, I don't really have the motivation atm to play through the entire game again to write up that specific guide, but never say never!

3) I'd say it's probably easier as there aren't speed runs for every level, and I know a lot of people struggled with those. Not a lot easier, but a little bit.

You do have the 8 bit levels with no checkpoints and bullshit effects though..:scared:

The only one that gave me trouble was the orchestra one because it's hard to time the jump where you get most of the lums. (Trying not to spoil anything, but the effects on that one pissed me off!)

Not even the Granny one with all the different views and multiple screens? :eek:

I'm working on videos for the Teensie locations at the moment. It'll take some time to fully upload because my laptop is so shit, but they'll be

.

I'm glad you are. I didn't want to have to do those, lol.

Haven't actually played the last 2 yet. I haven't even started the last world yet lol, so I didn't want to play the 8-bit dragon slayer before playing the actual one!

I was thinking that because I found the living dead level really easy already, I assumed the 8bit one would be just as easy.

EDIT: So I just finished all the 8-bit levels, I will say the orchestra one is still the most annoying for me! I thought the effects on the last level were cool!
