tima_13
Overview: - Estimated trophy difficulty: 3.1 (Platinum Difficulty Rating - PlaystationTrophies.org) - Total Trophies (breakdown): 23 (1 , 7 , 7 , 8 , 4(H)) - Offline Trophies (breakdown): 19 (7 , 7 , 5 ) - Online Trophies (breakdown): 3 (3 ) - Approximate amount of time for platinum: 10-12 hours (Estimated Time to Platinum - PlaystationTrophies.org) Personal estimate: 15+ hours - Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 - Number of missable trophies: No missable trophies - Glitched trophies: No glitched trophies - Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No, see Road Map Road Map This trophy guide is focused on earning all the trophies by yourself because there is only one online trophy which requires another player. With that said, some trophies are made a lot easier if you have a co-op partner, so if you want to play with someone, please use this Co-Op Partners Thread (Read First Post!) - PlaystationTrophies.org thread. Cheats: There is only one cheat in the game that is helpful, which is the infinite ammo cheat. However, to unlock it you need to earn 105 skill points. You can earn them if you want but that would just double your platinum time. It is recommended that you ignore skill points unless you want to get them for fun. Step 1: Complete the game In this step, enjoy this game! There are only 5 levels so this shouldn't take that long. During this step, you'll earn the following trophies: Let's Set up Camp Zurgo's Revenge Back to the Basement Step 2: Online There are three trophies that require you to be signed into PSN, but only one of these trophies requires another player. There is a chance that you'll find someone online to play with, but if you don't, use this Co-Op Partners Thread (Read First Post!) - PlaystationTrophies.org thread to find a co-op partner and set up the match together. During this step, you'll earn the following trophies: Hero Academy Custom Job Fear Does Not Exist… Step 3: Miscellaneous In this step, get all the missing trophies you might have missed in the above steps. tima_13
Trophies The Collector Collect all trophies. Awarded when you earn the other 22 trophies. Congratulations! Smorgasbord of Destruction Buy one of each available turret type in any level. (Any mode) There are 4 different turrets in the game. They are: Pyro Turret: Available from level 1, "Korgon Refinery", for 1,250 bolts Fusion Turret: Available from level 2, "Hidden City of Balkai", for 2,000 bolts Warmonger Turret: Available from level 3, "GrummelNet Plasma Harvester", for 3,000 bolts Cryo Turret: Available from level 4, "Hidden City of Balkai, Snow Storm", for 3,500 bolts Once you pass a level where the turret first appears you'll be able to use that turret on any other level. For example, once you pass level 4, you'll be able to use all 4 turrets on any level. Load up any level and collect 9,750 bolts to get all the turrets. Refer to the video for more information: Hoverboot Madness Cross the gap leading to the Major Weapon Node in Korgon Refinery without touching the moving platforms. (Campaign) Korgon Refinery is the first level in the game, and the major weapon node looks like this on the map. To get this trophy, you have to cross the gaps to this weapon node without touching the moving platforms. You can however touch the static platforms. To cross the gaps you can jump in the air with and then hold to glide across, or you can hold to start hover boosting, and then press to jump across the gaps. Refer to the video for more information: Variety is the Spice of Life Use every weapon in the game at least once. There are 11 different weapons in the game. They are: Combuster Buzz Blades Doppelbanger Pyro Blaster Cryoshot Plasmabomb Launcher Mr. Zurkon Sonic Eruptor Thundersmack Groovitron Warmonger In this game, you get weapons from weapon pods that are marked as this and this on the world map. There is a simple mini game to open a weapon pod and you can only choose one weapon from each pod. Note: Most weapon pod contents are randomized so there isn't a specific place where you can find a particular weapon. QForce, Activate! Play Co-Op in split screen or online. You can get this trophy offline if you have a second controller. Go to: Main Menu => Campaign => Local => Launch. Trophy unlocks at the next loading screen when you are flying to the Starship Phoenix II You can also go online and invite a friend to join you. Go to: Main Menu => Campaign => Online, and then either accept an invite from a friend, or send an invite to a friend. If you want to find someone to join you, please use this http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ratchet-clank-full-frontal-assault/181057-co-op-partners-thread-read-first-post.html thread. Hero Academy Play a ranked match. Main Menu => Competitive => Online => Ranked At this screen, on the bottom right, you'll see how many players are online in 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 matches. If you see something other than 0 in 1 vs 1 matches then choose that from the menu and hopefully you'll get connected to other players. If you can't find anyone to play that way, please use this http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ratchet-clank-full-frontal-assault/181057-co-op-partners-thread-read-first-post.html thread to find a partner. Then, both of you can search for each other and get a match. Note: This match counts towards the Fear Does Not Exist… trophy, and you must finish the whole match to get this trophy. Custom Job Play a custom match. See Fear Does Not Exist… Fear Does Not Exist… Play 5 pvp matches. The fastest way to get this and Custom Job trophies is to play against yourself not against other players. Go to: Main Menu => Competitive => Online => Host Custom, to host your own custom match with the following settings: Location: any, recommended Markazia Joinable: Friends Recon Time: 30 seconds Ignore all other settings Start the match and proceed to the closest weapon node to waste some time. After you get an extra weapon, proceed to the opponent's base and wait for the Assault Stage to start, then simply destroy all the generators at the base to win the match. Hit to restart the match, and repeat the same thing 4 more times. Refer to the video for more information: No Tank You Defeat a Grungarian tank before it reaches your base in any level. (Any Mode) Grungarian tanks first show up in level 3, "GrummelNet Plasma Harvester". There will be a cutscene for the first couple of tanks so you can't miss them. These tanks move really slow towards your base so as soon as one shows up find it and start attacking it. On the back there is a green weak point that you can shoot for extra damage, plus they don't attack you until they get to your base. If you are having trouble with this trophy, you can get it later after your weapons are leveled up, or use the Groovitron to stop the tank from moving all together. For the Peace through Ridiculous Firepower trophy you have to destroy 10 of these tanks. I recommend playing by yourself so that there is no chance that your co-op partner gets the kill. And, if you need more tanks, replay level 3, "GrummelNet Plasma Harvester". Note: Make sure your base is not being attacked by other enemies while you are fighting the tank. Rack 'em and Hack 'em Successfully trigger all bonuses on 5 hackler puzzles in a row. Hackler puzzles are the mini games that you have to play to open weapon pods. To open a pod you have to press or when the moving reticle is over the blue parts of the ring. For this trophy you have to press or when the moving reticle is over the bonus targets that are white in color. The bonus target will change color, to green, once hit and if you hit all of them, you will receive a bolt bonus. Then, you have to repeat the same thing on the next 4 weapon pods that you open. If you mess one up, you have to start again. Note: This doesn't have to be done on the same level or even in the same session. For example, you can trigger all bonuses on 3 weapon pods on level 2, quit the game, come back later and trigger all bonuses on 2 weapon pods on level 3. As long as you don't mess up in between the weapon pods, then you will get the trophy. tima_13
Intergalactic Dance Party Get at least 1 of every enemy in the game to dance by using the Groovitron. (Any Mode) To get the enemies to dance, you must get the Groovitron weapon from a weapon pod, or use the Groovitron mine at your base. Keep opening weapon pods in each level until you find a Groovitron or plant the Groovitron mines for 500 bolts. These are the available enemies in the game: Grungarian Brawlers: Bigger enemies that try to hit you with their fists. First appearance is on level 1. Grungarian Demolitionists: Enemies that launch bombs at you, usually located at key nodes and on top of something. First appearance is on level 2. Grungarian Bombers: These are the flying jet-like enemies that appear as the last defense on key nodes and at later stages of attacks on your base. First appearance is on level 2. Grungarian Soldiers: Enemies that carry guns. Some of them have the ability to fly. First appearance is on level 2. Grungoids: Small enemies that have a bouncing ball above their heads that they use to attack you. First appearance is on level 1. Grungoid Turrets: Turrets that pop out of the ground when you come near them. First appearance is on level 1. Elite Forms: These are the tougher versions of the above enemies. First appearance is on level 4 Grungarian Tanks: See No Tank You Grungoths: Gorilla-like enemies. First appearance is on level 4. Missile Minions: Flying enemies. First appearance is on level 1. Anthropods: Crab like enemies. First appearance is on level 1 Grungarian Wrecking Drones: Enemies that carry bombs to your base and have a red circle around them. You'll get a warning every time they appear. First appearance is on level 3 Final Boss Bunnies: Bunnies are not really your enemies. See Night at the Mansion This is not as hard as it sounds because the Groovitron should be one of your most used weapons since it is very useful. Note: Cleaner Bots on Starship Phoenix don't count for this trophy A Night at the Mansion Get 8 transmorphed bunnies to dance on screen at once. The bunnies are a special type of "character" in this game. There is only one way to make them appear: plant a Transformer mine at your base and let the enemies trigger it. The enemies will transform into bunnies and help you defend your base. There are two ways to get the bunnies to dance. One is to have the Groovitron weapon, and the other is to use the Groovitron mine at your base. You can randomly find the Groovitron weapon at weapon pods, but I recommend using the mine because it is easier and faster. After you complete level 4, load level 1 and collect around 2,000 bolts. Go to the right side of your base and plant a Groovitron mine in the middle space. Do this fast, because the first enemies appear very quickly. The first enemies will be the small Grungoid enemies and they will come in two packs of 5 or 6 per pack. Once, both packs hit your Groovitron mine, quickly plant a Transformer mine in the middle of the dancing enemies. If you do it right, at least 8 enemies will turn into bunnies. The next step, is to plant another Groovitron mine in the middle of where the bunnies are. Then, go find and lure a Grungarian Brawler towards this mine. The bunnies will not be quick enough to kill the enemy, so the Groovitron mine will be triggered and there will be a bunny party. Note: The Transformer mine first appears in level 4, and will be unlocked for use in other levels after you complete level 4. Refer to the video for more information: Crushed Ice Shatter 25 frozen enemies. For this trophy you need to use the Cryo Gun which is available from the first level. When you shoot enemies with this weapon, you have a chance to freeze them. Once an enemy is frozen, simply hit it with your wrench to shatter it. The best enemies for this are the weak, small enemies and turrets that pop out of the ground because they freeze in one shot. Also, remember that you can throw your wrench, by holding and pressing , to shatter frozen enemies. Ironmadman Hoverboot 112 Miles, Run 26.2 Miles and Hoverboot Glide for 2.4 miles across all game modes. This might be the last trophy that you will get before the platinum. You can't check the exact progress for this trophy but some of the skill points will help you figure out how close you are. => Profile => Skill Points [page 1] Beats Walking v3: Unlocks after hoverbooting for 100 miles. Hoverboot an extra 12 miles for this trophy The Marathon: Unlocks after running for 26.2 miles. Nothing extra required Hang Time v3: Unlocks after gliding for 1 mile. Glide an extra 1.4 miles for this trophy After you get these skill points, I recommend getting every other trophy before grinding this. Then, hoverboot around any level while jumping and gliding to get the necessary stats left for this trophy. QForce Master Unlocked for earning the rank of Master. To unlock the rank of Master you have to earn all 13 medals available in the game. Levels 1 through 4 have 3 medals each, awarded for: Beating the level Beating the level with all generators intact Beating the level under certain time (not "Dev" time) Level 1, Korgon Refinery: Time Limit: 21:00 Key Nodes: 1 See Defenseless for a video guide Level 2, Hidden City of Balkai: Time Limit: 28:00 Key Nodes: 2 Level 3, GrummelNet Plasma Harvester: Time Limit: 41:00 Key Nodes: 2 Special: Swingshot required. Open your world map to see where this weapon node with the Swingshot is located. Level 4, Hidden City of Balkai, Snow Storm: Time Limit: 36:00 Weather Beacons: 10 Special: Swingshot required. Open your world map to see where this weapon node with the Swingshot is located. Level 5: This level has only one medal, awarded for completion. You can view the medals you've earned by pressing => Profile => Hero Profile => Campaign, or you can view your medals on the galaxy map at Starship Phoenix II General Tips: Always be moving and use the Hoverboots Focus on taking out the key nodes, ignore everything else Always come back to protect your base Plant turrets on one side of the base while defending the other side yourself Warmonger turrets are the best Always try to get the Buzz Blades and the Groovitron weapons first Repair your generators if they get damaged If you are having trouble getting these medals, you can find a partner using http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ratchet-clank-full-frontal-assault/181057-co-op-partners-thread-read-first-post.html thread, to help you out. Note: To get this trophy, after getting the 13 medals, go back to the Starship Phoenix II and accept your promotion behind your ship, by pressing Defenseless Complete a level other than Zurgo's Lair of Doom without purchasing any base defenses. (Campaign) The easiest level to get this trophy is level 1, "Korgon Refinery". Just don't plant any turrets or mines and focus on finishing the level as fast as possible. Since your base will be defenseless, make sure you are always coming back to it whenever it's being attacked. Refer to the video for more information: Peace through Ridiculous Firepower Land the killing blow on 10 Grungarian tanks. See No Tank You Save Ammo, Smack a Fool Defeat 50 Grungarian Brawlers using your melee weapon. Grungarian Brawlers are the bigger enemies that first appear on level 1, and try to hit you with their fists. You can kill these enemies with two overhead, wrench hits: , Note: For a kill to count you have to deal the final blow with your wrench, which means that you can soften them up with other weapons and then kill them with your wrench. tima_13
Ready for Armageddon Upgrade all weapons to level 3. (Campaign) See Variety is the Spice of Life for a list of available weapons. Just like every other Ratchet and Clank game, weapons level up when you use them on enemies, so get out there and start shooting! Try not to use the same gun over and over again. You can check what level your weapons are on the Starship Phoenix, or on the Mission Completion screen, page 2. Note: Level 3 is not the highest level the weapons can reach. Let's Set up Camp The QForce has been re-established, now go save the Galaxy! (Campaign) Story related and unmissable. Spoiler You'll get this trophy after the first few cutscenes in the game. Zurgo's Revenge Restore all Planetary Defense Centers and discover Zurgo's intentions. (Campaign) Story related and unmissable. Spoiler You'll get this trophy after the completing the first 3 levels and some cutscenes. Back to the Basement Complete the campaign. Story related and unmissable. Spoiler You'll get this trophy after completing the main story. Over the Top Beat 3 or more of the Insomniac Challenge Times. (Any Campaign Levels) This is the hardest trophy in the game but with some practice you can get this trophy by yourself. If you don't want a challenge then you can find a co-op partner using this http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/ratchet-clank-full-frontal-assault/181057-co-op-partners-thread-read-first-post.html thread. Press when in a level to see the Dev time at the bottom of the screen. You have to beat the Dev time on any 3 levels in the game to get this trophy. Recommended Levels: Level 1, Korgon Refinery This level is the easiest. Get the first weapon, and go straight to the Key Node. From the Key Node, destroy the enemies that will probably start appearing and moving towards your base, then attack the Defense Center and finish the level. Dev Time: 7:43 My Time: 6:40 Level 2, Hidden City of Balkai This is the hardest level out of the three recommended levels because there are two Key Nodes. However, doing this by yourself is still possible. Just make sure that you know the fastest way to get to the Key Nodes and the Defense Center. Get the first weapon, and go straight to one of the Key Nodes. From the Key Node, teleport to your base and destroy the enemies that will probably start appearing and moving towards your base. Then, go to the other Key Node. From the second Key node, proceed straight to the Defense Center and finish the level. Dev Time: 12:54 My Time: 12:42 Level 5, Zurgo's Lair This level just has to be completed as fast as possible. Grab a weapon from the first weapon pod and ignore everything else. Just focus on killing all enemies as fast as possible, so that you can move on from area to area. Dev Time: 8:26 My Time: 6:46 General Tips In all three levels, you only need 1 gun and 1 gun only: level 5 Buzz Blades Don't bother with extra enemies, extra weapons or extra bolts. In level 2, plant Warmonger turrets on one side while you defend the other. , glue your finger to it If all else fails, get a co-op partner Edited February 4, 2023 by Viper Removed signature. DragonSpear2462
Anyone know how trophy works in this Cross-buy title? Is it like Sly 4 where you can get 2 platinums by moving saves for PS3 to Vita and vice versa or is it like Guacamelee where it's only one for both? Akari
By the time I finished all other trophies, I had only the first skillpoint tier for hoverbooting and gliding unlocked, but I had running completely done. mattigummi
By the time I finished all other trophies, I had only the first skillpoint tier for hoverbooting and gliding unlocked, but I had running completely done. Is that normal? This is a HELL of a lot of hoverbooting left to do... =/ I took it slow, played 2 playthroughs + 3 levels beating the dev time + a few more for miscellaneous trophies. By the time I started my 2 playthrough in co-op I think I had the same skill points you'd gotten, so I'm guessing you were rather fast at obtaining the trophies, then I'd think that is normal. I tried to hoverboot the entirety of my second playthrough and hover a lot inbetween, and after it, I spent many minutes just going in circles through the snowstorm planet. So yeah, basically it's going to be a hell of a grind. A good spot for hovering is on the snowstorm planet, Balkaii or something like that, before the snowstorm I think. There's a place close to the enemy base where you can slingshot upwards to a platform high up. I used to hover as far as I could from there, then hoverboot back to it, use slingshot and hover back again, and rinse and repeat. It's much better than jumping and hovering a very small distance multiple times I think, and I got the hover skill point rather fast using this method. chrisheadshot
If anyone has trouble keeping all their generators alive or accidentally loses one you can quit the game and re-join the planet you were on and you will restart at your last checkpoint (with all generators intact assuming they were all intact the moment the checkpoint popped). Apologies if this is common sense, I had no idea I could do this on my first playthrough and only discovered I could do it now:o.
