xX_shoemaker_Xx
Thanks to Jflinchy for the image! If you have found this, or any other threads that I maintain useful, and are compelled to join this forum as a result, please give me a referal upon signing up. Thanks! Road Map Overview -Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 3/10 (Platinum Difficulty Poll) -Trophy Breakdown: 7 , 4 , 1 -Offline: 12 -Online: 0 -Approximate Amount Of Time To 100%: 15+ hours -Minimum Number Of Playthroughs Needed: 1 -Number Of Missable Trophies: 0 (See notes in Step 1: Adventure Mode) -Glitched Trophies: No -Does Difficulty Affect Trophies: No -Do Cheat Codes Affect Trophies: No Introduction Get ready to soil your plants! A mob of fun-loving zombies is about to invade your home, and your only defense is an arsenal of zombie-zapping plants. Use peashooters, wall-nuts, cherry bombs and more to mulchify zombies before they reach your front door. The fun never dies! Step 1: Adventure Mode Play through Adventure Mode to unlock the majority of the game features and other modes. This will unlock 'Soil Your Plants', 'Crash Of The Titan', and 'Home Lawn Security'. Remember to also go for 'Close Shave' once you have all 5 lawn strips available and 'Nom Nom Nom' when you first unlock the Chomper. Note: Since there is no level select in the adventure mode, be sure to pick these up as soon as possible to avoid an unnecessary playthrough. While the trophies are not missable and can be picked up in other modes and levels, I have given the recommended level in Adventure Mode that is easiest to obtain the trophies on. Step 2: Versus Mode You will need a second controller for this step. See the 'Versus vs Versus' and 'BFF's 4 Evr' trophy descriptions for more help. Step 3: Survival Mode You will need to complete all of the Survival challenges to unlock the Endless Survival Mode. Once you have unlocked the Endless Survival Mode, simply survive 40 waves. All you have to do then is die during wave 41 to unlock the trophy. Step 4: Farming Money As you need quite a bit of money to buy all the plants and food for the Tree of Wisdom, you will need to farm some coins. See the 'Master Of Morticulture' trophy for a video guide on farming money. Note: Thank you to NalaCin, for confirming that you can earn all trophies while in co-op mode! Trophy Guide http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/03.jpg Smarty Branches Grow the Tree of Wisdom to at least 100 feet Once you complete Adventure Mode, the Tree of Wisdom can be purchased from Crazy Dave for $10,000. Once you have purchased the Tree of Wisdom it will be placed into your Zen Garden. You will need to feed the Tree of Wisdom for it to grow by buying packets of food, each pack of food will grow the tree 1 foot. You start with 5 packs, so will need to purchase 95 more packets at a total of $237,500 (or $2,500 each). At 50 feet tall you will get a ticker at the base of the tree to tell you how tall the tree is or how many more bags of fertilizer you need to buy to get to 100 feet. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/04.jpg Crash of the Titan Defeat your first Gargantuar This is story related and cannot be missed. You will encounter the Gargantuar during the roof stage on level 5-8. Simply defeat him to obtain this trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/05.jpg ZFF's 4 Evr Bowl a winner with a friend in Co-op Wall-Nut Bowling Once you have finished Adventure Mode Wall-Nut Bowling will become available in Co-op Mode. Bowling a "winner" means winning the round. To bowl a Wall-Nut press to send the Wall-nut down the row you placed it on. Simply play through the Wall-Nut Bowling with two controllers ensuring that you use the first controller to kill the last zombie. PLEASE NOTE: Some people have reported needing to complete the bowling mini game in solo, before it will show up in co-op. So, if you finish your adventure mode playthrough and do not have the co-op bowling available, simply complete the solo bowling first. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/07.jpg Soil Your Plants Plant your first 10 peashooters This is story related and cannot be missed. This trophy is cumulative and will most likely be the first trophy you achieve. It will be obtained after you plant your 10th peashooter. Peashooters are your basic shooting plant to defend against the zombies. Press or to cycle through your plants and find the Peashooter, then press to plant the Peashooter in the desired position. The Peashooter looks like this: http://cheatspulse.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/pvz-Peashooter.png http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/09.jpg Explodonator Blast 10 zombies at once with a Cherry Bomb! I actually had a hard time doing this during Adventure Mode but was able to do it in Versus Mode. Using two controllers, set one controller to plants and the other to zombies, then select random battle, ensure that the wall-nut and cherry bomb are in your plant cards. On the far left column plant all sunflowers, then plant two columns of wall-nuts one column away from the red line, then let controller two collect brains. You are building walls to block up the zombies until they are in a group of 10+, the zombies will not start coming automatically until controller two places the first zombie. When you have your two walls of wall-nuts, start placing zombies. Once you have a group of 10, drop a cherry bomb and watch the trophy pop. If it doesn't work, plant more wall-nuts and try again. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/10.jpg Close Shave Survive the zombie onslaught after all lawnmowers have been used Surviving the "zombie onslaught" simply means to win the round. This trophy first becomes available during Level 1-4 when you have all 5 lanes of grass. The lawnmowers are free and are automatically in place so don't worry about needing to buy them or equip them in any manner. Once a zombie has made it through your defenses and reaches a lawnmower, the lawnmower will activate automatically and run over everything in the row. Simply let the zombies activate all five lawn mowers, then defend your house and win the level. Here are some other tips for obtaining this trophy: - Just a tip for the Close Shave trophy. It can also be done much easier on versus mode using 2 controllers. Just have player 2 take out all the mowers, this way is easier in my opinion. Thanks to alex814 for this tip. - For 'Close Shave', I think the method I used could be the easiest yet. Once mini-games are enabled, play Wallnut Bowling. Play as normal until the Final Wave notice, then stop playing, don't bowl anything. Lots of zombies will walk across only to be annihilated by the mowers, game over and up popped the trophy. Thanks to thomas248 for this tip. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/11.jpg Shopaholic Go trunk diving and spend at least $25,000 on Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies Trunk diving simply means spending cois to buy items from the shop. This will be obtained while going for the 'Master Of Morticulture' trophy as there are 9 plants that you need to buy from Crazy Dave to obtain all 49 plants. To spend coins you will first need to have collected some. Coins can be collected in a few different ways: 1 - Coins will randomly drop from killed zombies 2 - Planting Marigolds 3 - They can be obtained from plants you are growing in your Zen Garden, by either watering them, fertilizing them or selling them You can access Crazy Dave's shop a few different ways: 1 - From the main screen scroll right and press on Shop 2 - When in the Zen Garden or with The Tree Of Wisdom press to enter the Shop 3 - Between rounds you can press to enter the Shop Edited September 13, 2017 by TheManUtdFan Guide Revision by Terminator 15/08/2013
xX_shoemaker_Xx
http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/02.jpg Master Of Morticulture Collect all 49 plants in the game There are 40 plants that will be obtained simply by playing the Adventure Mode, the other 9 plants must be bought from Crazy Dave. It will cost you $98,000 to buy the 9 plants. The best way to earn this money is to farm it. The video provided below is by far the easiest method to earn this money. Along with getting coins, you will also get plants for your Zen Garden. After a few rounds of Last Stand, go in and take care of all your plants. Once you give them the first fertilizer, simply sell them to Crazy Dave for $3,000 each. The 9 extra plants that have to be purchased are: - Gatling Pea ($5,000) - Twin Sunflower ($5,000) - Gloom-Shroom ($7,500) - Cattail ($10,000) - Winter Melon ($10,000) - Gold Magnet ($3,000) - Spikerock ($7,500) - Cob Cannon ($20,000) - Imitator ($30,000). Here is the video with the strategy for farming money: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjAhk8Viyds]YouTube - How to easily earn $8000+ in Plants vs Zombies!!! (no luck involved!)[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/06.jpg Alive And Planting Survive 40 waves of pure zombie ferocity To obtain this trophy you need to play the Endless Survival mode. To unlock the Endless Survival mode you need to: - Finish the games Adventure Mode to unlock the survival challenges - Complete all of the survival challenges From the main menu go to More Ways To Play and then go to Survival to find the survival challenges. Once you have unlocked Endless Survival Mode, simply survive 40 waves of zombies. Just die during wave 41 to unlock the trophy. Here is a picture of the setup that I used. Made it to Flag 41 with no issues or close calls. http://s1.hubimg.com/u/1428272_f520.jpg Here is a video by exitmusic123, on how to set up for Endless Survival Mode: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvkXb90D9uA&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Plants vs zombies Survival endless setup tutorial[/ame] http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/08.jpg Versus vs Versus Go on a 5 game winning streak in VS. mode Go to Versus Mode, set the first controller to plants and the second controller to zombies, then select Quick Play. Once the match has started, hit start with the second controller and select Concede Match. Once controller two has conceded, select Play Again. Rinse and repeat 5 times. MAKE SURE TO SELECT PLAY AGAIN, OR YOUR WIN COUNTER WILL BE RESET. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/12.jpg Nom Nom Nom Stop the horde using only the Sunflower, Wall-Nut, and Chomper on any level Stopping the horde simply means defeating all the zombies during a level. This trophy first becomes available during Level 1-8, when you unlock the Chomper. This is easiest to complete during this level, as the level and zombies are still very easy at this point. The three plants that you are allowed to use are: Sunflowers - These are used to produce more sun. The sunflowers will randomly pop out sun allowing you to plant more plants during a match. Wall-Nuts - These are used to block the zombies. With a Wall-Nut in place, zombies must eat through the Wall-Nut before they can get any further. Chompers - These are used to eat zombies. Once a chomper has eaten a zombie it can't do anything else until it has swallowed that zombie. Here is the method I used to achieve this trophy: - I placed Wall-nuts in the middle column to block the zombies from moving any further, and to also protect my Chompers - I then placed two columns of Chompers behind the Wall-nuts with two columns of Sunflowers in the first two columns. The Sunflowers should provide more than enough sun to get through this. If the Chompers are eating too slowly, simply dig them up and put another one in their place. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/901/01.jpg Home Lawn Security Complete adventure mode This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. As the description says this trophy is obtained by completing the adventure mode. Adventure mode is broken down into 5 "stages": 1 - Garden-day 2 - Garden-night 3 - Pool-day 4 - Pool-night 5 - Roof-day Simply complete all of the stages and the gold is yours. This can also be done with two players if you find yourself having difficulties. Edited March 1, 2011 by xX_shoemaker_Xx Editorial Sweep

Alex Fly
Nice guide so far ! But for the co-op trophy, is there only a local co-op or is there an online co-op included to the game too ? There's no way I'd have this trophy for me then otherwise as I don't have two controllers. =/
ShouKobayashi
Concerning the Close Shave Trophy. When there is no 2nd Controller available, the best and safest way to get it is the first chapter, when you have finally all 5 rows available. There are so less Zombies, I just gathered SUN, while it was dropping from the sky and just planted my plants in the row when a lawnmower had been removed from the game. It's quite simple and nothing to worry about
Tuffinz
anyone know how i can change the thread title, to get rid of the "(WIP)" at the end? thanks! Title is fixed. For the trophies you don't have tiles for, put this in there for now: http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/827/ock.jpg You also want to put the official tiles in when they're loaded to the site, rather than the ones you're using. yewjhin
Err try to make the guide a bit more distinct than the one on X360A. And the coin farming video is useful almost-handsfree method [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjAhk8Viyds]YouTube - How to easily earn $8000+ in Plants vs Zombies!!! (no luck involved!)[/ame] 1. Play the Last Stand minigame (you have to complete some of the earlier minigames first to unlock more) 2. Select the plants as shown in the video 3. You're given 5000, build the plants as shown 4. Press to start each wave 5. Sit back until the end of the wave. Rebuilt garlics and walls if you have too and start the next wave and repeat.
