Introduction

Welcome to the Pinballistik Sector X DLC! The DLC just adds a new table to the game and it has 9 new trophies which are probably the easiest in the game to get. The game itself is fun (if you like pinball) and these trophies are only available on the sector X pinball table. Have fun and good luck on getting 100%!

Helpful tips & Controls

:r1: flick right bumper

:l1: flick left bumper

:left: nudge table left

:right: nudge table right

 nudge table up

 nudge table down

:select: change view

:start: pause

:square: use power up

:triangle: use power up

:cross: launch ball

Those are the only controls in the game, simple. Now as you know pinball is an arcade game in which you bump around a ball using flippers and knock the ball into things to score points. The main thing you will want to learn and master is the timing of hitting the pinball, this is crucial in this game and there's many tricky spots where you need to knock the ball. That's all you really need to know, there's not much else to pinball.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Classic Mode

Go straight to classic mode and get all the trophies that are associated with it, most the trophies here in this DLC are obtained through Classic Mode. You should be fairly good at the game now (if you completed the main first). Sometimes there's an option to do it in Classic Mode or Battle Mode, do as many as you can in Classic Mode. At the end of this step you'll have all trophies that are to do with Classic Mode and maybe some others to.

Step 2: Battle Mode

Battle Mode is a 2 player game in which you play either another controller or the A.I. The aim is to get a certain amount of points before your opponent or to get a higher score than them when the timer is up. Most the trophies here don't take that long but the "Sabotage" trophy is hard, its hard enough doing it once, let alone 4 times in one 5min game. Play against the A.I. on easy for most the trophies and put the score limit on 10mil. At the end of this step you should have all the trophies in this DLC.

Step 3: Clean up

Missed out on a trophy? Then now's the time to come back to it and finish it off. You should now have all the trophies.

Activate the teleporter seven times in five minutes on the Sector X battle table.

Firstly set up a 5min game on 'Battle Mode'. The teleporter is only available to you when your on the right hand side of the battle table. You will notice 2 flashing kickers on the far right side of the table. Get the pinball into either one of these and it will teleport the pinball to the other kicker. Just go through the teleporter and you will be teleported, you need to do this 7 times which isn't to bad as the flashing kickers are easy to get into. Upon entering it for the 7th time the trophy will unlock.

Activate sabotage four times in five minutes.

This description is slightly misleading. You can only get this during 'battle mode' but the feature is available on both sides. All you need to do on the Sector X battle table is hit the four rollover circles in the lanes next to the bottom two flippers. As soon as you do this a sort of kicker hole is unlocked. The hole is right beside the top left bumper, it's tricky getting into the hole but if you use the bumpers that are nearby the pinball will bounce about a lot and will regularly end up in the hidden hole. The method just described is if you're on the right hand side of the table. If your using the left hand side then here's what you need to do. There are 3 spinners near the top, you need to get the pinball behind this and into the hole and then the word "Sabotage" will appear on the screen. Repeat this 4 times in a 5min game and the trophy will pop. I found it easier getting it into the hole 4 times on the right hand side of the battle table.

Complete a Score Challenge game on the Sector X battle table with neither side breaking

down the force field.

The force field is the red barrier in the middle of the battle table. Firstly you will want to set up a game on the sector X battle table. Put the settings to "time mode" then "1min" (pick the left hand side battle table). Now just don't do anything, don't even fire the ball out the plunger. Just wait until the 1min runs out. Hopefully the force field will still be there and you will get the trophy on the scoreboard screen.

Experience the breaking down of the force field on the Sector X battle table.

The force field is the red barrier in the middle of the battle table. If you set up any game type on battle mode you should break the force field. To break it you just have to keep smacking the pinball into the force field. It's really easy to do and you will get it without even trying. Trophy will unlock as soon as the shield goes down.

Get the skill shot on the Sector X classic table.

The skill shot on this table is the launch pad just in front of the rocket. You will most certainly get this while trying to get the "we're taking this baby to the moon!" trophy. All you need to do is get in the rocket plunger. The easiest way to do that is to deliberately fall down the gutter while the "ball saved" light is flashing. This will automatically put you in the rocket plunger. Now once in it you don't want to pull the spring back to full power, more like 3/4 of the way down. If done right you will land in the gap just in front and above the rocket and you'll get fired into the air (The rocket will launch to). Trophy will pop shortly afterwards.

Complete all of the features on the Sector X classic table and both sides of the battle

table.

The same as the main game trophy. You have to complete all features on the Sector X table (both sides) for this trophy. It's not as hard to do as the main game table but it's still tricky. You can see more detail on the table features by looking at the "table rules" on the help screen in game. You need to do all the features on both the battle and classic tables. There are 13 features and here's a list of what you need to do:

  • Find Ship - For this you just have to hit the two blue rocket squares. One's on the right hand side, the other is on the left hand side. Hit one then the other one will start flashing, hit the other one then enter the lit kicker to find your ship.
  • Launch - There will be a lit kicker on the table with lights with rockets on them leading to the kicker. Go into this kicker to start the feature. All you need to do is hit all the rockets then the big rocket in the middle in the time given and then you've done the feature.
  • Supply - On the classic table you will notice a ramp with lights on it. You will want to go up this ramp until all the lights are lit up, then the table will do some things (box will light up) and then you've completed this feature.
  • Asteroids - This one is available on the classic table. You will notice a trapped pinball directly above the gutter, fire the pinball into the bumper the lone pinball is sitting on to launch it about. The lone pinball needs hit the targets at the back. Once all targets have been hit then it will count as a feature towards the trophy.
  • The Final Battle - At the very top is a kicker in a groove. Get in this and then the UFOs will spawn, bump all the UFOs with the pinball and then return back to the kicker in the same life and you will unlock a multiball power up. This completes this feature.
  • Skill Shot - See 'Nice Shot Kid (B)'
  • Teleport (Right side) - This is only available to you when you're on the right hand side of the battle table. You will notice flashing kickers on the far right side of the table. Get the pinball into either of these kickers to teleport. Just go through the teleporter and it will count towards the trophy.
  • Skirmish (Right side) - See the help section in game for this feature, it's hard to explain. It's basically when you fire pinballs at each other to knock the opponents lives away.
  • Target Practice (Right side)
  • To the armoury (Right side) - There are 2 ways of activating the armoury, go up either of the ramps 3 times. The ramps have a 'refresh' icon in front of them. Go up either one of the ramps 3 times to get into the armoury.
  • Final Battle (Right side) - Complete all features on the right/left side and then this automatically appears. The middle of the table opens up and you have to shoot your opponents targets with :cross:. Shoot all the targets first to beat your opponent.
  • Meteors (Right Side) - At the very top of the table (on the right) there's 4 lights. Roll over these 4 lights.

Here's Shogun00's list for the features if you want a different view on things:

Classic Table features:

Space Shuttle - Hit the two shuttle targets (left and right side of the table). Feature complete!

Single Rocket - Hit the right ramp five times. Feature complete!

Crate - Hit the center hole (next to the upper green spinner on the left side). Now you need to hit the seven rockets and this feature is complete.

Meteor - Hit all of the meteor targets with the captured ball.

Rockets - Automatically starts up when the four other features are complete. Just go down the lanes and then into the kicker.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1233/29.jpgWe're taking this baby to the Moon! (B).

Launch the rocket five times in a three ball game on the Sector X classic table.

Firstly make sure you select "classic mode", then set the game to "ball mode" then "3 balls". To launch the rocket you have to get into the skill shot which is in the bottom left of the table (the rocket is here too, you can't miss it). All you need to do is get in the rocket plunger and do the next steps correctly to launch it. The easiest way to do that is to deliberately fall down the gutter while the "ball saved" light is flashing. This will automatically put you in the rocket plunger, as you have 3 balls you should do this as soon as you launch as the "ball saved" option is available. Once you've launched the rocket once try to get into the plunger either the same way or by going to it normally. Launch your first ball, make it fall down the gutter on purpose when the "ball saved" light is flashing, you will automatically be put in the rocket plunger, rinse and repeat. To get into the rocket plunger without this method you have to flip the pinball over to the left of the rocket, it will roll down into the plunger. Now once in it you don't want to pull the spring back to full power, more like 3/4 of the way down, (may take some practice). If done right you will land in the gap just in front and above the rocket and you'll get fired into the air. The rocket will launch, then return a few seconds later. Upon firing the 5th rocket the trophy will unlock.

I don't think this is quite right. I am not convinced the bottom rollovers have anything to do with the sabotage hole. I hit a successful sabotage 3 times before I lit all these lanes.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of videos of this game so I thought I'd post one I made earning all the features in classic mode. I didn't post the battle mode portion, but the trophy popped after completing both sides of battle mode. One thing I would add to the guide is that completing the features in battle mode is really easy compared to classic mode because you have infinite balls and time! Simply set the goal to 10 million with 100% penalty and easy AI. The game will never end. Once you get all features on one side, quit and play the other side. You DON'T need to finish the game for the features to count. I used this strategy on all 3 tables. I would tend to disagree with the guide claiming classic mode is easier due to the above strategy.
