Synopsis

Peggle has to be one of the hardest games I have played on the playstation without ending up with a platinum trophy. In fact, it will feel like you deserve two platinums when you're done. Great fun game, and the trophies you earn from this game will be well deserved, if not a little light on the quality of metal you end up with in your trophy case.

Cure your need for fever with Extreme Fever.

This will come when you clear your first level. It is achieved by clearing out all orange pegs.

Clear all the pegs in a level. It's pretty extreme, but you look up to it.

Hit the last orange then the last blue to rack up a Cool Clear.

This will probably come naturally during the course of the Doctor of the Peggle Arts Gold Trophy, however if you want to get it quicker use Bjorn on the first level, clear out as much of the board as you can without hitting the green pegs (helps if you get a start with them near the top). Once you're down to the last few pegs, take out the green to get the guide, clear out the last of the pegs so that only one blue and one orange remain, then use the guide to bounce from the orange to the blue peg.

Rack up the score or hit the bucket for 3 free balls in one shot.

You just need to gain 3 extra balls in one shot for this one. You should get this while you're going for the 750k challenge. There are a couple of shots that can net you 3 balls without getting in the bucket, but follow my bucket catching tips to make it a little easier so you only need to get 2 free balls from the score.

Win a 4-player Peg Party by a whoppin' 100,000 points to acquire everlasting coolness.

You'll need to bost this trophy due to the lack of players online. Once you have your 4 players, take it in turns to have one person get a good score, and the others do as much missing as possible. To be sure there are no accidents, have the winner use a character with a special skill and the other 3 use Bjorn Unicorn since his special will not accidentally gain extra points.

Bust out all your Skillz, Bounces, and Slides for 1 million style points!

This score is cumulative from all style bonus points throughout all of your game playing. You'll most likely get this during the adventure, or if not it'll definitely appear when you start the challenges for the Peggle Professor trophy.

In a peg defying feat, score 20 million points in a single play-through of Adventure mode.

To get this trophy you need to score 20 million within the 55 levels of the adventure. This requires an average score of 363637 points per level. I recommend you use a spreadsheet, or draw up a table on a piece of paper to keep a tally of your score for each level to ensure that the average is kept will above this score. For the majority of the game you should be able to get above 400k per level, however there are a few select levels near the end of the adventure where it will be almost impossible to get more than 300k. To compensate for these it is very important to get high scores early on. Make sure in the early rounds that you get lots of style points with long shots, and make sure as many levels as you can are cleared on the first try which gives 100k bonus.

The game remembers how many times you have tried a level when you start, so you can't just reset or you'll automatically forfiet the 100k bonus.

However, if you've done very badly on a level and hit the last orange, make sure you pause and restart before you get the final score, as you will be forced to move on and the score will be recorded.

To do this on your first playthrough will require a lot of luck since you are forced to use the character you are given. I did it on my second playthrough, generally favouring Hsu the zen master. Using Hsu will get you much bigger bonus shots which count a lot on this play through.

If you can clear a level to guarantee the 100k bucket bonus, go for it, but don't forget that if you don't quite make it you'll miss out on the 100k 1st try bonus.

Complete all of the challenges in Peggle Nights Challenge mode.

Just clear all of the challenges in nights mode. Some of the challenges here can be a little tricky but there's nothing more demanging than the normal challenges, and most of them are the same as, or similar enough to the regular challenge that you can just repeat what you previously did.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/images/trophies/286/own.jpg http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/286/own.jpg Purple Necklace (Silver) (S) (Peggle Nights)

Using Marina from Peggle Nights, hit 13 purple pegs during a single level in Adventure or Quick Play modes. Pretty!

Choose a level with pegs only (not blocks) that are reasonably well spread out and just keep aiming for the purple peg. Where possible, richochet off the peg into the bucket, as you need more balls than you start with, and you'll likely miss a couple of the shots when the peg is out of reach.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/286/own.jpg Doctor of the Peggle Arts (Gold) (G)

Clear all pegs and bricks in every level in Quick Play or Adventure mode and gain explodious fame!

To get this trophy you need to clear out everything on each level from the main game. You do not need to do the Peggle Nights levels if you have that installed, just the main game levels from 1-1 (peggleland) to 11-5 (beyond reason)

This trophy will do your head in with frustration, but hang on in there and the gold will eventually be yours.

The most important thing to remember while you work through this trophy is to keep one of the orange pegs safe somewhere. It's nothing but a world of frustration when you've spent several hours trying to clear a level to finally have only a few pegs left and forget that you're aiming at the final orange and still have one or two lingering blues. Once you've hit the last orange that's the end of the level and you cannot clear anything that is left over, so you need to retry.

Most of the levels are actually fairly easy to 100% if you've played through the adventure and challenges as you'll have picked up some skills on where to hit the pegs to get in-offs, long shots and multiple peg cleanups.

For most of the levels I use either Hsu or Bjorn. Hsu is handy no levels that have long brick walls and will often clean them up if there are enough orange bricks, or a purple brick among them. For the mainly peg levels, and the easy to reach slide levels I found Bjorn sometimes preferable, by leaving the green pegs to near the end to clean up the remaining pegs. The problem with Hsu is that he'll always try to get a good score and will hit the last orange but not try to clean out the blues, even if there's only a couple left that would be easy to reach.

When you use Hsu, try to get the multiplier up to 3x or right on 5x before deplying him so that you get multiple free balls.

WIth Bjorn, you'll get 3 super guide shots per green. Where possible, wait until you're down to your last 10-15 pegs before activating his super, then just mop up with the guide remembering that orange must be in the final shot.

Once you're past the easy to beat levels you'll start having some trouble mopping up the last set of pegs, often due to 'brick shields' keeping you away from the pegs underneath or inside. This is where you'll need to grab a laptop or pen/paper and start taking notes.

At the start of a level, pick a good shot, either centre (don't move the stick at all), full left or full right. Now watch the bucket and fire the ball. Note down where you shot from (left, centre, right) and where the bucket was when you took the shot. If the ball misses the bucket, guess where it should have been to start with, and note that down with a ? beside it. Keep doing this until there's nothing more to hit, then change to the next start shot position.

This process is usually best done with Bjorn, because the shots won't change when some special ability takes out some pegs.

Repeat this processes several times until you have each of the shots worked out. On the easier levels, you'll usually find that after 5-7 of these noted shots you'll be able to simply finish the level because you'll have 10 balls and not too many pegs.

Once you've got a good set of coordinates noted, 5-10 depending on the peg count, change the character to something appropriate to the level (usually Hsu) and fire off as many guaranteed shots as you can until you run out, or get a green peg. At this point the board should be sufficiently low on pegs and you'll have enough balls to clean up the leftovers.

This method works well until you hit the levels with moving pegs. For these levels, you'll sometimes be able to get a few targeted shots in, but then it's up to you from there.

Tricky Level Guide

This section is dedicated to helping get through some of the tougher challenges you'll come across in your play through.

Death defying

Bjorn. You need to get the swings clear asap as these will throw your shots off. Once that's done,

just aim to get clusters of as many as possible each shot and keep the super guide until the end.

Shadowshine

Bjorn. You need bjorn on this one to clear out the last pegs that will end up under the shields.

Tulas ride

I used Hsu for this one, as he gets some amazing slide shots in that clear out the pegs underneath.

Spin cycle

Hsu. Clear out the wheels as soon as you can, then use the special fairly early.

Zen frog

Use Claude for this one. It will seem odd if you haven't used him much, but there is simply no

other way to beat this level. Fire your ball over the side and get a green peg on the way. Use the

flipper to keep the ball to the edge of the screen and keep it in play as long as you can. If you

haven't cleared out 80% of the column then you might as well restart. Then (you'll still have flippers)

do the other side. If you've cleared a good 80+% of each side you should be able to finish off the

rest fairly easily.

Paw reader

Bjorn. Clear some of th centre, then the tallest slide, then work through with the special to get

as many ricochet slides as you can.

End of Time

Hsu. Fire over the top to get slides

Billions & billions

Splork. This was my hardest level. Eventually you'll catch a break and have just enough balls

to finish the level. The bucket and ufo have a pattern, and at one point in that pattern if you

fire the ball through the portal it will land in the bucket guaranteed. Use this fact to clean

up the last balls below the line safely so that when you miss you get a free ball.

Don't panic

Bjorn. This one takes a few goes, but you'll catch a break and clean up fairly easily

Beyond reason

Bjorn. First shot start by taking out some of the pegs on one side, being careful not to hit

the spiral too much in any one place. Then get a shot in that clears out a section of the bottom.

You'll get this by bouncing up into the spiral. The closer to the bottom the better. Third shot,

get the ball into the hole made from shot 2 and you'll ride the column all the way up, get massive

points and a bunch of free balls. Then just clean up the stragglers.

Beating the Challenges

This section provides assistance for challenges that are likely to cause some grief

Peg challenges: Clear 35 / 45 / 55 pegs

Do these with Hsu. His talent is to get as many points as possible, and clearing out oranges is the best way for him to do it. Get as many oranges as quickly as you can before targeting his special. This will get you the hard to reach pegs, and extra balls for the higher score multiplier. Make sure when you fire off the zen shot that it's already a fairly good shot so that you get the biggest benefit.

Score challenges: 300k / 350k / 400k

Do these with Hsu also. Same as the peg challenges, keep his skill until later. Early on, try to get any long shots or slides that are possible to help the score along. Also if you can save and fire off both green pegs in the same shot you'll get a decent bonus too.

Clear the pegs

You can do these here, or during the Doctor of the Peggle Arts trophy. Any full clears are valid either way they are done and will be marked off wherever you clear them.

Duelling

Not much to tell you here other than to do what you did for the score challenge. The harder duelists will try to entrap you at the end of the level by leaving a couple of hard to target pegs so that they can take the end of level bonus. Try to avoid this. Depending on your opponent, whether to get the 1st or 2nd green will depend on how many bonus points their skill will get them. You usually want to get the second one when the multiplier has increased, unless you can get both - then do that.

Multi-level / The decathlon

Just clear the orange pegs for the number of levels thrown at you. They are random, so there's no way to know what will be coming.

Three level duel

Follow the advice for the score challenges

Multilevel score

Follow the advice for the score challenges

2 balls left / last ball

Follow the bucket targeting advice from the Doctor of the Peggle Arts info to get these ones

Ten ball trial

Just be careful and complete the 3 levels as quickly as possible. Get bucket shots and extra balls wherever you see an opportunity. If you've written down the bucket targets for the levels, they will help you through this.

750,000 points

I did this with the Peggle Nights level 'Seasick' (3-2) with Warren (the rabbit). This will take a LOT of retries until you get it, but keep going and it will happen.

On the top curve, aim about 2/3 down the first brick. Take a close look at the contact point on the screen and get used to where to target it, it needs to be very precise. I used a spot in the background for reference each time. Take the shot and keep doing it until you can reliably get 2 super slides. The best shot should end up clearing both the top and bottom brick curves and end up in the bucket.

Hopefully this will happen while you're practicing that shot, but what you will need is to hit a green

to get the triple score, preferably get an orange attack and also a pink peg for the score multiplier.

That combination will bring your score up in the 500-600k range. From there you should be able to get the last 150-250k without too much problem. Remember that after the slide you'll still have the triple score so make the most of it.

Peggle Nights challenges

Most of these are fairly easy, and similar to the regular challenges so I won't go into too much

detail. I'll just offer up some advice on the ones that were a little bothersome.

150,000 pyramid

There are a couple of mini-slides you can get down the pyramid sides here. Aim these at the bucket

to get good bonuses. Also try to get all types of bucket bonuses here - in-offs, bounce off the bucket back into itself, off the wall etc.

Zapped!

Make sure you get free balls on this one. Every ball is an electobolt, including the free ones. Once

you've got a couple of free balls it clears up pretty quickly.

Peggle lifestyle

The 6 shots must all be different for this one. Use Bjorn to get the slide, long shot, super long

shot, wall bounce and kick the bucket should do it. Also if the 2 greens can be hit, that's a nice

easy style shot.

1,000,000 points

This one took me a while and I ended up with 1,000,180. You need to score as many points as you can in the first 2 levels to even think about doing the 3rd. Just keep trying until you get there. I used different characters for each level to maximise the score. First level was done with Bjorn to get the long shots, second with Hsu, and I recall using Bjorn for the final level, but will update if I remember differently.

Flipper Magic

This one seems impossible the first couple of tries. Keep going and you'll see a pattern emerge that makes it reasonably easy.

Undercover

Use Bjorn so that you don't accidentally get bonus points, and just hit the orange pegs. The higher the multipler gets, the less you want to hit to ensure you don't get the 25k bonus. Try to get low bucket shots that don't get bonuses.

This is a misleading tip. you can´t choose which player to use. you HAVE to use the pharao character...which makes its WAY harder to do than with bjorn (super guide power-up) you are not likely to get as many skill shots with him, besides the bucket skill-shot, you have to keep getting the bucket to earn 10k and some odd skillshots....

For the 20 million adventure score trophy, you get an efficiency bonus at the end of the campaign based on how many retries you had. I had something like 15-20 retries on my second playthrough and got a nice 4,000,000 point bonus. So I wouldn't recommend restarting because of the bonus, if you're decent at clearing the oranges, you shouldn't have any problems.

For instance, if you think you're only going to retry 20 times, you really only need ~16 million, which is less than 300k per level. And since you'll probably get 100k for the first try clear on most levels, you should be good.

I'm not sure what the numbers are exactly though, it's been three or four weeks since I got the trophy.

I quote from the guide:

"Tenured (Silver) (Peggle Nights)

Utter rubbish, the Peggle Nights Challenges are way WAY harder than the normal ones and include things like get 6 unique skill style shots or get 200,000 in skill style points...I breezed past the normal challenges but the Nights ones seem very VERY hard to do...

I'm not one to criticize someones hard work but this guide is just about completely useless to someone with even just a quarter of a brain in their head. are you telling me i should try and get free balls? really? how about offering some tangible advice? telling me to use triple score to get, hold on, wait, a high score? is this written for idiots? you don't offer any advice on getting 200,000 style points or any other of the fairly unique challenges. this guide should be deleted!

Considering that this has never been submitted to the site, doesn't seem that helpful based on the comments and is about 18 months old, I think it's safe to close this, as we don't leave unsubmitted guide threads open.

OP, if you wish for the guide to be reopened so you can update it to current site standards, please let a member of the Guide Team know.
