Bottom Rung (B)

Enter a custom character into a tournament.

Simply create a character in career mode and start one of the six tournaments. You will get this going for the 'Taylor Made' trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/05.jpg

First Match Win (B)

Win a match.

You will get this from playing the game. Either set up a match in exhibition mode or win a first round match in a tournament for this to pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/06.jpg

Victory (B)

Win your first tournament.

In career mode, win any one of the tournaments. See 'The Champion!' trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/07.jpg

Half Way There (S)

Win three tournaments.

In career mode, win any three of the tournaments. See 'The Champion!' trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/08.jpg

The Champion! (G)

Win all tournaments.

In career mode, win all of the tournaments. The tournaments are time consuming and are where the majority of time is spent achieving this platinum. They start off short, with matches that can be won in about 20 minutes. However, the matches become longer and longer the further into the tournament you get. The finals take over an hour and the players later on in the tournament do get better, but they're still easy if you don't get too bored and lose concentration.

The tournaments required for this trophy are:

The UK Open

World Matchplay

European Championship

SkyBet World Grand Prix

Grand Slam of Darts

Ladbrokes.com World Championship

You do not need to win the Las Vegas Desert Classic tournament as it is DLC.

If you are about to lose a match in the tournament, quit to XMB, restart the game and you'll be returned as you were BEFORE the match you were just in.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/32.jpg

Taylor Made (G)

Rank number one in the Order of Merit with a custom character.

For this, you MUST create a custom character before starting career mode. DO NOT use an existing professional.

This will pop as you win all the tournaments going for 'The Champion!' trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/02.jpg

Smackeroo (B)

Score 180 in three darts.

Simply hit three treble 20s with 3 darts to score 180.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/03.jpg

Lipstick (B)

Score a treble 20.

You'll get this while going for the above trophy 'Smackeroo'.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/04.jpg

Good Darts (B)

Score over 100 in three darts.

Simply score an accumulative total of over 100 in three darts. You will get this when going for the 'Smackeroo' trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/27.jpg

Last Chance Saloon (S)

Check out with double 1.

You will get this by playing the game, so don't go out of your way to get it. To get this trophy you need to get your total down to 2 before checking out with a double 1. So for instance if I had 21, I would hit a 19, leaving me with 2 left, then I'd need to throw double 1 to check out.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/29.jpg

Unassisted (S)

Beat a pro with the assist off.

When choosing a player, click 'OFF' when asked whether you want an assist or not. This is best done in exhibition mode with the shortest leg setting. The easiest way to do this is to be Phil Taylor as he is very accurate and his shot doesn't go too far from where you aim. When picking an opponent, pick a much lower ranked professional to go against.

For assisted help see 'The Nine Dart Finish' trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/33.jpg

The Nine Dart Finish (G)

Score exactly 501 in nine darts.

This is probably the 'hardest' trophy in the game. However, when going for this trophy I found a very simple solution.

For this trophy you need to hit 180 on your first 3 darts, 180 on your next 3 darts and then a treble 20, a treble 19 and a double 12 on your last 3 darts.

SOLUTION: Start up an exhibition match and select Phil Taylor as player 1. Choose your created character as the opposition just so you know they won't beat you in this leg.

You will notice below the treble 20 has a 'crack-like' line. It has like an impact point and 3 lines coming from there - See the picture below.

http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/5179/screenshot20110420at151.png

This dot which joins the 3 lines is the perfect height for a treble 20 with Phil Taylor when performing a straight shot at full power. So keep with the line and hit one shot from each of the yellow dots on the picture below. Phil Taylor uses quite fat darts so you need to land each one with enough room or the darts will knock each other off course.

Below is the area in which to place the cursor for a treble 19. There isn't really a marking on the board like there is for the treble 20 so you'll have to guesstimate the right placement. It's about midway between the crack in the centre of the area and the double 19 area.

Lastly is the double 12 placement. You'll just have to trust me on this one - See below.

http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/6254/img00466201104201528.jpg

For these shots you NEED to hit a full powered, straight shot. Using these placements and Phil Taylor, I got it on my second go. If you miss a shot, just restart the match.

Missing in action (B)

Miss a targeted finishing double, three darts in a row.

When creating a character, you are asked to choose a preferred checkout. Choose whichever checkout you want, however you'll need to bear in mind what number it is. Simply narrow your score down so you get to your checkout double and miss it with 3 darts.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/31.jpg

Practice Makes Perfect (S)

Score 180 on the practice board in three darts.

Simply go to practice mode and score three treble 20s for this easy silver. Practice mode is a great place to get the 'Magnetised To The Lipstick' too.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/28.jpg

Maxed Out Checkout (G)

Check out with a score of 170.

For this you need to have to check out with 170 in 3 darts in a game of 501. This means you need to score two treble 20s and then finish on a bullseye.

The easiest way to do this is with Phil Taylor as he is so accurate. See 'The Nine Dart Finish' for positioning for trebles 20s. For the bullseye just aim a little bit below the bullseye and you should hit it if your position is right.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/30.jpg

Magnetised To The Lipstick (G)

Score 180 with assist off.

Best done in practice mode along side 'Practice Makes Perfect'. Simply score 180 with the assist off on the practice board for it to pop. A 180 is three treble 20s. Use 'The Nine Dart Finish' for assistance in where to place the cursor for a guaranteed treble 20 with Phil Taylor.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/09.jpg

Unrivaled (G)

Beat every professional.

Note down every professional you play during all 6 tournaments. After finishing all 6 tournaments simply play the remaining professionals you haven't played in exhibition mode. Stick to beating them with your created character.

PARTY MODE

The following trophies are done in two player mode. However you can do it all on one controller. You can be getting the trophy with either player 1 or player 2.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/14.jpg

Keeping Time (B)

Hit three consecutive numbers in three consecutive darts in one turn of around the clock

Choose a game of Around the Clock in Party Mode. Simply hit 1, 2 and 3 with player 1 for this trophy to pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/15.jpg

Doubling Up (B)

Finish a game of Black & White with a score of 20 or more.

Choose a game of Black n White in Party Mode. Player one will start on 1 and will go clockwise, player two will go anti-clockwise and start on 20. You just need to hit a treble in the first 3 whites going clockwise with player 1.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/16.jpg

Demon Bowler US (B)

Hit three consecutive numbers in three consecutive darts in US rules cricket.

Choose a game of Cricket US in Party Mode. You need to hit three consecutive numbers with the batter for this trophy to pop. They can be any consecutive numbers on the board.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/17.jpg

Demon Bowler UK (B)

Score 3 points with three darts as the bowler in UK rules cricket.

Choose a game of Cricket UK in Party Mode. For this trophy the bowler will need to hit an inner bullseye (the red circle) and an outer bullseye (the green circle) to score 3 points. The inner bullseye counts as two, the outer bullseye counts as 1. You just need to score 3 points in any variation.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/18.jpg

Five's Alive (B)

Score 36 after three darts in a game of fives.

Choose a game of Fives in Party Mode. You need to get 180. So hit 3 treble 20s. 180 divided by 5 is 36, the required number for this trophy to pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/19.jpg

Assassin! (B)

Knock an opponent out of a Killer party game in six darts or less.

Choose a game of Killer in Party Mode. With player 1 choose any number you like as your 'Life Number'. Do the same with player 2. Now as player 1 hit all 3 of your darts in your 'Life Number'. When it's player 2's turn, miss every shot. I just aimed for a double 20 and full powered it so it went off the board. Now it is player 1's go again. Land all 3 of your darts on player 2's 'Life Number' for the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/20.jpg

Survivor (B)

Beat an opponent's score of 140 or more in Knockout.

Choose a game of Knockout in Party Mode. With player one hit two treble 20s and a single 20. This is your 140 which you need to beat with player two. Three treble 20s will do nicely but anything else that is higher than 140 will do. The trophy will pop as soon as you beat the score.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/21.jpg

What are the odds? (B)

Score 177 in Odd Man In

Choose a game of Odd Man In in Party Mode. With either controller hit two treble 20s and a treble 19 to score 177 spot on. The trophy will pop once you achieve the score.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/22.jpg

Whole (S)

Complete a game of Half-it without being halved.

Choose a game of Half-It in Party Mode. You need to get a treble with at least one dart on every go with one of your players. You will see your target number at the bottom right of the screen. The game will end when you are asked to hit a bullseye. YOU MUST HIT THE INNER, RED BULLSEYE. You cannot miss a treble or the bullseye in this game. You have 3 chances so it's not hard. I advice doing this with Phil Taylor due to his accuracy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/23.jpg

Shanghai (S)

Hit the single, double and treble of the round's number in Shanghai.

Choose a game of Shanghai in Party Mode. Once the game starts simply hit a treble, double and single 1 for the trophy. If you miss, try the same with player 2. If you miss again, try the same but move onto the number 2 as it will be the second round.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/24.jpg

The Whole 9 Points (S)

Score 9 points in three darts in a game of Twenty-One.

Choose a game of Twenty-One in Party Mode. You can only score points by hitting a 10 or an 11. You get one point for a single, two for a double, three for a triple. You need to hit three trebles. Two for one of the numbers, one for the other. So either two treble 11s and one treble 10 or two treble 10s and one treble 11. Use Phil Taylor if you find it tricky to hit those numbers, his accuracy makes it almost unmissable.

Taylor Made (G)

Rank number one in the Order of Merit with a custom character.

For this, you MUST create a custom character before starting career mode. DO NOT use an existing professional.

This will pop as you win all the tournaments going for 'The Champion!' trophy.

This is wrong. There is no way that you will get 'Taylor Made' at the same time as 'The Champion'

I won EVERY tournament in the season which got me 'The Champion' trophy but my prize money in the order of merit was nowhere near Taylor's. I had to do all of season 1 and half of season 2 before I had won more money than Taylor which eventually got me 'Taylor Made'

Nice guide yokimoto the pictures for T20 T19 & D12 were very helpful indeed good work.

EDIT: If you wish to marginly reduce the time assuming your aim is good, when you are in career mode and the opponent throws 1st press pause, choose option suspend then option continue and is if by magic you get to throw 1st upon resumption of the match. The reason it helps is so that you get to have a go at the 501 finish without worrying if the opponent will beat you.

Hey Yokimoto, thanks for the guide! One small error I noticed. I believe the following:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/802/16.jpg

Demon Bowler US (B)

Hit three consecutive numbers in three consecutive darts in US rules cricket.

Choose a game of Cricket US in Party Mode. You need to hit three consecutive numbers with the batter for this trophy to pop. They can be any consecutive numbers on the board.

Should be:

You need to hit three consecutive numbers with the BOWLER for this trophy to pop.

Easy enough to figure out, but I thought I'd mention it. ;)

Thanks again!

The forum promoting is very much useful to many of the members visiting the site. The PDC World Champion ship is very exiting and the wiling of many of the audience. The number of the tournaments is more and the trophies also huge amount to handle by the conductors. This is a good career tournament. I would like to thank the members of the site for promoting it.

Cheers for the guide,i feel this is MUCH easier to play without the move.

Just a quick note to say that i found it much easier to have my favourite double set to double twenty.Once you start getting used to the controls you will soon be hitting 9 darters for fun,in the end to speed things up i was mainly just finishing on double top.

Finally it is worth mentioning that pressing :cross: straight after you (and your opponent) has throw will speed the game up quite a bit.

I have actually enjoyed the game but it is far too easy with the assist set to max.

how is this considered a roadmap?

very hard to follow trophy guide.

needs to be revised, in much better step by step process for fastest way for Platinum.

it's not the best but it's a guide,

if you can do better go for it, then this will get un-pinned and your guide can be the "official" one

I only need the rank number 1 in the order of merit for a gold and my platinum trophy. I didn't create my own player until a few months after i started playing.

My problem is, that Taylor is still number 1 after 7 tournaments played and im number 2. Before i won the World Grand Prix, Taylor was 70K ahead in prize money (i had 450K and he had 520K). I beat him in the final and the game increased his lead with his runners up money, but gave me NO extra money for winning.

As a result he is now further ahead of me, despite me winning.

Ive put in many many hours and this is doing my head in. Im worried if i win another tournament that it will give me no prize money.

Has this happened anyone else?

It definately takes way way longer than the 20-25 hours stated on the guide to achieve platinum.
