Introduction

You start off as Travis Touchdown, an otaku that resides in Santa Destroy. One evening he meets an alluring woman and buys her a drink. He ends up being broke, so the lovely woman offers him a job: assassination. After completing the job he’s stuck at rank 11 of the UAA. His goal is reaching number one. To reach this however, he will have to defeat the 10 other assassins. All of these assassins are unique characters with unique fighting styles.

This version of the game supports the playstation move and having used it myself, I can say that it works fine for the most part. Though sometimes the motion controller can be unresponsive. While this doesn't happen a lot, it can put you off when it does. I did however feel that doing boss battles and some side-jobs with the motion controller are harder than with the controller.

No more heroes: heroes’ paradise was released in Japan over a year ago. The Japanese and EU/NA versions are similar, but there are some differences:

 • 100% uncut – In the EU/NA release the blood and guts aren’t censored.
 • High-definition graphics – The japanese version had this as well, but this version looks a lot better.
 • English subtitles.
 • 5 Additional bosses – These bosses are from the sequel that has only been released for the Wii so far.
 • Score attack – You will unlock this mode after beating the game once. You can select a boss to fight and you will earn a score depending on how fast you kill the boss and how little damage you take.
 • A slightly different trophylist.

Controls

High attack - :triangle: / hold the motion controller medium-high + :move:

Low attack - :square: / hold the motion controller low + :move:

Recharging - :r1: / square on the motion controller

High melee attack - :circle: / hold the motion controller medium-high + :trigger:

Low melee attack - :cross: / hold the motion controller low + :trigger:

Charged attacks - Hold any of the attack buttons

Locking on - Hold :l2:

Dodging - While locked on tilt the right analog stick / tilt the motion controller into the direction you wish to control twice

Circling around - While blocking the enemy's attacks tilt the left analog left / right twice

Grab - Press :r2: when you're near a groggy enemy/boss

Camera controls - Right analog stick / :cross: or :circle: on the motion controller

Roadmap

Step one: Play through the game once on either Sweet (Easy) or Mild (Medium)

The main thing that you should focus on in this playthrough is to enjoy yourself. You will unlock the "Very sweet" and "Bitter" difficulty after your first playthrough regardless of which difficulty you have picked.

As you go through the boss stages make sure that you pick up the 5 cards in each stage. Refer to the card locations guide if you’re having problems with this. Missing some of the cards during your first playthrough is fine, they will still be there in new game+.

Before boss fights you will see save points and occasionally a wrestling mask lying on the floor. The boss stages that contain a wrestling mask are:

 • Rank 10
 • Rank 9
 • Rank 8
 • Rank 7
 • Rank 6
 • Rank 4
 • Rank 2

Refer to (B) Travis! Your throws are the best! for more information.

After ranking up you will get the option to “catch some z’s” from time to time, do this and you will find yourself fighting one of the newly added bosses. Defeat all 5 of them for their respective trophies.

After becoming rank 1, do not watch the ending yet, choose to return to Santa Destroy instead. What you want to do now is to collect all the Lokilov balls for some handy abilities that will help out a lot with the side-jobs, assassination gigs and bitter mode in general.

Clear all the side-jobs, assassination gigs and free fights. After having completed all these you should have more than enough money to buy all katanas and their respective upgrades. After buying all the katanas you will be eligible to watch the real ending.

Step two: Bitter playthrough

After the credits end, you will be allowed to create a “clear save data”. Loading up a clear save data will let you start a new game on any difficulty, while carrying over everything from your previous playthrough. This is often referred to as NG+ (new game+)

In this playthrough you should focus on completing the boss stages, but also collecting the newly spawned cards in them. Each stage has 3-6 new cards in NG+, refer to the card location guide if you want to make sure that you won’t miss any. If you missed a card in your first playthrough, try to pick it up in this playthrough instead.

If you’re having problems getting through bitter mode, refer to (B) Sweeter than you thought? Just like Sylvia! for tips.

Step three: Very sweet playthrough + mop up

After finishing your bitter playthrough, make a new clear save data. Load it up and start a new game on “very sweet”. Very sweet can be seen as very easy, enemies do little damage, but have the same amount of health as sweet.

This playthrough will be your speedrun. Your goal is to attain S rank in each boss stage, refer to (S) The S stands for Sylvia. Did you know that? for more information.

Make sure to not skip the cutscenes for the female bosses. They will have new outfits. This isn’t just for eyecandy purposes, but to ensure that (B) You’re blushing will pop after you watch the real ending again.

After becoming rank 1 again, do not watch the ending yet, it’s time to mop up first!

Start off with getting your 5100 kills out of the way, for more information on this refer to (G) What a massacre! You're awesome, Travis! .

After you’re done with the 5100 kills you will have enough money to buy everything from the clothing store (AREA 51). Do this to obtain (B) I’m closing up the shop, bro.

Now it’s time to cruise around Santa Destroy on your on motorcycle (named the Schpeltiger) and pick up the remaining cards and t-shirts. Refer to (S) Why do nerds always have to find EVERYTHING!? and (B) I wish I had all of this season’s new items too for the locations of the items.

Go back to your home and fight Dr. Peace, Destroyman and Badgirl through your armchair and focus on getting:

 • (B) The Destroy Warriors are nominating your for first place
 • (B) You’re ready for your Hollywood Debut
 • (B) So you like to play ball, huh?

Finally, go to your toilet and watch either ending again. (B) You’re blushing should pop right after the credits.

Step four: Score attack

Score attack is a new mode in which you can fight all the bosses of the game. After beating a boss score attack mode will unlock. You can find it under "extras" on the title screen.

You will be awarded with points for beating a boss. The score mostly depends on how fast you kill the boss and how little damage you take. For more information on this, and tips for getting high scores on bosses, refer to (G) Did you find someone stronger than you?

Earned 14 Gold Medals on part-time jobs

The part-time jobs are available through Job centre. You won’t have access to all of them from the start, you have to unlock them by ranking up on the assassin leaderboard.

**I've added video guides to all the part-time jobs using the playstation move in the spoiler tags**

1 – Coconut collector

Look for a tree that gives you the circle prompt. Hit the tree a few times with :circle:/:move: and 1 or 2 coconuts will fall on the floor. Grab these with :cross:/:move: and bring them to the guy standing behind the stand as fast as you can. To make this easier, make sure to carry atleast 2 coconuts during each trip. This saves you a lot of time.

Gold medal: 8 Coconuts

2 - Lawn mowing

Move your lawnmower over the patches of grass and clear out the field. You can make sharp turns using the :l2: button.

Gold medal: 95 Acres

3 – Signaling

In this new minigame you complete a series of quicktime events in order to send the right signals to the ships. If you send the wrong signal or don’t make the signal in time, you will eat a missile.

For the people attempting it with the motion controller:

The left arrow is controlled by the analog stick on your navigation controller / dualshock controller while the right arrow is controlled by tilting your Playstation move controller into the respective direction.

Gold medal: 20 signals
4 – Garbage Collection

Walk up to a piece of garbage and press :circle:/:move: followed up by tilting your right stick/motion controller up.

Gold medal: 30 pieces of garbage

5 – Sign spinning

As soon as the job starts tilt your dualshock/motion controller up and down (the same motion you make when recharging your beam katana) as soon as possible and keep the bar in the red area, don't fill the red area up completely as this will make everything explode. Keep this up for a minute and the customers will start to visit the store.

Gold medal: 20 customers.
6 – Gas Station

Your job is to fill the cars with petrol. To the right of the screen you see an empty gauge that looked similar to your beam katana gauge. Once a car has stopped infront of you, hold :r2:/:trigger: to fill up the tank. A yellow arrow will mark to what point you will have to fill up the gauge. Once you reach that yellow mark let go of the :r2:/trigger: button. If you put in too much gas you will be set on fire.

Gold medal: 15 cars filled

7- Mine Sweeping

In this minigame you will be walking over the beach with a metal detector. If you get close to a mine it will emit 4 small beeps. Walk slowly into the direction of the beeps until you get the prompt to press :circle:/:move:.

Gold medal: 10 mines.
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efek1eZTFoI]No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise - Mine Sweeping (PS Move) - YouTube[/ame]

8 - Kitty Race

In this new minigame you want to lure your cat towards you as fast as possible with some tools. If you use one of the tools multiple times in a row Jeane will lose interest and stop moving. This minigame seemed a bit random, the order that worked best for me was: milk-foxtail-food.

Gold medal: Finish 1st
9 - Graffiti Cleaning

Wait with this minigame until you’ve gotten the Memory of Child ability from Lokilov. You can obtain this ability by handing in 7 of his balls. This ability will allow you to run by holding :cross:/:trigger:. Without the ability you won’t make the requirements for gold in time.

Gold medal: 10 graffiti drawings cleaned
10 - Meow Meow

In this minigame you distract cats with a foxtail so you can catch them. As you approach a cat press the circle button to initiate the quick-time-event, complete this and you will catch the cat.

Gold medal: caught 10 cats.

11 – Bust a Coconut

In this minigame coconuts will come flying at you. You have to swing your bat at the right time in order to send them to your boss behind the stand. If you miss the coconut you’ll go through hellish pain.

Gold medal: 15 coconuts
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXbewvR9Z7I]No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise - Bust a Coconut (PS Move) - YouTube[/ame]

12 – Scorpion Extermination

In this minigame you’ll be catching scorpions in the outskirts of the town. If you happen to get stung by a scorpion you have 20 seconds to get back to your boss so that he can give you an antidote. I recommend not entering the grass and just stay in the open fields. There will be plenty of scorpions here and you won’t get stung so easily this way.

Gold medal : 15 scorpions
13 – Bike jump.

Follow the mission marker to the ramp that overlooks the sea. Boost up to max speed and tilt the left trigger/motion controller up just before you hit the ramp. The better your timing, the higher the jumping distance. Gold medal: 2000+ yards

14 – People Bowling.

Hop onto your bike and mow down 70 masochists. You can aim for strikes by holding :l2:/:trigger: at max spin for a slide. Gold medal: knocked over 70 masochists.

Earned 25 Gold Medals on Assassination Missions

You can start assassination missions at K-entertainment, which is marked as a skull on the map. In order to unlock all assassination missions you will have to attain a silver or gold medal on side-jobs. Refer to You’ve made it into the Hall of Fame of my heart! for more information on the side-jobs.

There are 25 assassination missions:

Assassination Gig 01 – Pizza Butt ( Gold medal: Finished in 15 seconds or less)

Assassination Gig 02 – Snake Hall ( Gold medal: Finished in 1 minute or less)

Assassination Gig 03 – Hooligans Parade (Gold medal: Killed all 15 enemies)

Assassination Gig 04 – Baseball battle (Gold medal: Killed all 9 enemies)

Assassination Gig 05 – Guard break (Gold medal: 20 kills)

Assassination Gig 23 – Single Strike (Gold medal: Killed 7 enemies)

Assassination Gig 24 – Batting Killing Centre (Gold medal: Finished in 1 minute and 30 seconds or less)

Assassination Gig 25 – Crowded Train Carnage (Gold medal: Finished in 30 seconds or less)

Credits go to BreadSkin for supplying the requirements for the 20 original Assassination Gigs. I have verified these requirements in the EU version of the game and they are spot on.

The missions are pretty straight-forward and do not need further explanation.

Assassination gig 03 and 15 however, require you to kill your enemies by only using wrestling moves. The best way to do this is to hold the :circle: or :cross: / :trigger: button for a charged melee attack which is 100% sure to stun your enemies.

Earned 10 Gold medals on Free Fight Missions

Free Fight Missions are marked as a blue circle containing a white M. There are 10 Free Fight Missions. To unlock the Free Fight Missions you will have to attain Gold medals on assassination gigs. Refer to Keep climbing those ranks for more information.

The Free Fight Missions are pretty straightforward; defeat all the enemies without taking a single hit. As hard as this may sound, it isn’t actually that bad. Beating a Free Fight Mission will award you with a gold medal.

General tips:

Don’t rush

Getting hit once will make you fail the missions. Observe the locations of the enemies and try to take them out one at a time.

Tsubaki MK-III

This katana has an amazing charge up attack which makes quick work of these enemies. Charge up the katana with :square: and release when you’re close to the enemies. In addition to the first strike you can press :square: two more times for 2 extra charged attacks.

Trial and error

Failed the mission? Think of why you have failed it and how you can avoid it in your next attempt. Eventually you will pass it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/709/22.jpg The S stands for Sylvia. Did you know that? (S) *missable*

Earned an S Rank on all Ranking Battles

After a ranked fight you will be ranked on two things:

Time – How fast you managed to clear the whole stage. (varies per stage)

Damage – How little damage you’ve taken over the course of the whole stage. This only counts the damage taken to your original red-shaped heart health (<25% damage for S rank)

In order to obtain this trophy you will have to S rank both of them in every ranked boss fight. You can only get this during Story mode. I recommend doing this on a very sweet playthrough in which you have the Tsubaki MK-III fully upgraded.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/709/25.jpg What a massacre! You're awesome, Travis! (G)

Used whatever means to beat 5100 regular enemies

The easiest way of obtaining this is by repeating Assassination gig 14 – Big Bang Anarchy over and over. In this mission you will get 2 minutes to kill as many enemies as possible. For every 5 enemies that you kill you will get 1 “dark side mode” charge. Consuming a Dark Side Mode charge ( :r2:+:circle: ) causes all the enemies around you to die instantly. You can easily get around 150 kills each time you clear this mission.

Obtained all Beam Katanas and parts

Naomi’s lab unlocks after ranking 9th and is displayed as a blue-white sword icon on the map. After buying a katana you will have to exit and re-enter the lab in order for the respective parts to be available for purchase. There are three kind of upgrades:

Accelerator – A sensor that can locate buried treasure when attached to the handle of the beam katana. (You only have to buy this upgrade once)

Power up – Makes your attacks more powerfull

Energy Saving – Increases energy efficiency. (in Tsubaki MK-III’s case, you will have an infinite amount of energy and you will never have to recharge your katana.)

The katana’s and their respective parts:

Blood berry – You start off with this and it has no upgrades.

Tsubaki – LB$ 98,000 (available after ranking 9th in the UAA)

 • Power Up I – LB$ 29,800
 • Energy Saving I – LB$ 29,800
 • Accelerator – LBS$ 29,800 (available after ranking 9th in the UAA)

Tsubaki MK-II (Available after ranking 6th in the UAA)*

 • Power Up II – LB$ 29,800
 • Energy Saving II – LB$ 49,800

Tsubaki MK-III (Available after ranking 3rd in the UAA)*

 • Power Up III – LB$ 99,800
 • Energy Saving III – LB$ 999,999

* Some people have reported not being able to buy the katanas during the abovementioned ranks. mccrash has found a solution for this:

I can confirm that you can obtain Mark II and III the same time you bring the new parts to Naomi. Just bring them to her, then do anyting else for at least 15-20 minutes except travel randomly through the city or go back and forth from Naomi's Lab. The key is to let the game "reload" the main map a variable number of times (for example, by doing some jobs or missions), as like it does anytime you rank up. By doing this for 20 min or less, you can go back to Naomi's Lab and buy your brand new sword.

Having all of the katana’s will allow you to view the real ending after ranking 1st, the parts however are not required for this matter.

Purchase all the merchandise at AREA 51

AREA 51 is the clothing store in No more heroes. It is marked on the map as a white T-shirt.

As you rank up you will unlock more and more clothing that you can buy at this store. Your goal is to buy all the:

 • Sunglasses
 • Jackets
 • T-shirts
 • Jeans
 • Belts

Collected all Trading cards

There are 150 cards in the game, and it is your duty to collect them all. The cards contain pictures from wrestling masks and concept art of the characters and weapons.

Cards 01-50 can be found during your first playthrough. Each of the 10 boss stages contain 5 cards each.

Cards 51-90 and 136-147 can be found during NG+. Each boss stage has 3-7 new cards in NG+.

The cards in story mode aren't hard to find but to make it easier I’ve written down all the locations of the cards. Refer to the card location guide for this.

Cards 91-135 and 148-150 can be found by digging around Santa Destroy during NG+. The locations of these cards are indicated by small pink squares on your map. Some of these pink squares contain money. Keep digging around until your whole map is cleared of the pink squares.

Completed the game on “BITTER” difficulty

Bitter difficulty unlocks upon beating the game once. You can see this difficulty as a hard playthrough.

Before you enter this playthrough through new game+, it is highly recommended to obtain the following in your first playthrough:

• Tsubaki MK-II or Tsubaki MK-III (Buy it at Naomi’s Lab)

• Memory of Demon – Technique of Love (Handing in 7 balls to Lokilov)

• Combo extension, health & strength upgrades (Aqcuired by training at Thunder Ryu bldg.)

Having the things mentioned above will make this hard playthrough a lot easier. If you end up having problems beating certain bosses, please refer to the boss guide down below.

Something that will make your life easier here is the use of the "Power Death Blow". Credits go to mccrash3000 for this information.

-Power Death Blow: This is a secret move not mentioned in the game's manual, like the sidestep/darkstep technique. Basically, anytime you can Death Blow an enemy, press R3 and tilt the right stick to follow the arrow direction as normally. then quickly tilt it again in the same direction 3-4 times in a row (ie if the arrow points on left, tilt the stick once on the left to start the animation, and then quickly tilt it again on the left 3-4 times).

If performed correctly, Travis will shine for a second before striking the enemy, and you should hear a "charge" noise. The resulting Death Blow will be slightly more powerful than usual, and most important, it will have a bigger radius, killing all the enemies in the nearby (even 3-4 enemies at once). This is really useful in any stage/mission crowded with enemies, and will save you lots of time if you are against the clock.

Admired all the slightly saucy costumes

During your Very Sweet playthrough you will notice that the female characters are wearing different outfits. Your goal is to have seen them all. The trophy will unlock after the credits of either ending of the game.

Reflected Dr. Peace’s unblockable Quick Shot with your Beam Katana

This trophy is easily obtain by staying at a very large distance from Dr. Peace. (outside targeting range) Wait for him to do his glowing quickdraw shot, and press :triangle: the moment he draws his gun. If you stand too close to him you won’t be able to reflect it at all.

Reflected Bad Girl’s human clones with your Beam Katana

After losing a decent amount of health Bad Girl will move to the conveyer belt, and swing masochists towards you. Press :square: or :triangle: just as the masochist is about to hit you. If you timed it well enough you will be prompted to spin your stick around fast. Once you’ve done this you will swing the masochist back at Bad Girl and the trophy should unlock.

Defeated 30 enemies in a row without taking any damage

The easiest way of getting this is during Assassination gig 14 – Big Bang Anarchy. You will have access to many dark side mode attacks during this mission. Using 1 dark side attack ( :r2:+:circle: ) will cause all the enemies around you to die. You can see how many enemies you’ve killed in a row without taking any damage by looking at the number that’s shown behind “chain” after killing an enemy. I managed to get a chain of 152 kills during this Assassination gig, so 30 shouldn’t be a problem at all.

Obtained a total score of 15.000.000 points in Score Attack

Score attack will be unlocked after beating the game once. You can select a boss to fight and you will earn a score depending on how fast you kill the boss and how little damage you take. Your goal is to get 15.000.000 points in total. There are 14 bosses in total so in theory you’d have to get just a little over 1.000.000 for each boss. Thankfully it’s easy enough to score 1.500.000+ on most of them. If you are having problems with this however, refer to the boss guide down below for some strategies and tips.

There are some additional ways of gaining points during the fights in this mode:

 • First strike - Be the first one to land a blow. (30000 points)
 • Nice throw! - Use a wrestling technique. (5000 points)
 • Full charge finish - Finish the boss off with a charged attack. (50000 points)
 • Katana multipliers - Using weaker katanas will net you a small multiplier bonus. The strenght of Tsubaki MK-III will outvalue these small multipliers however. It's best to ignore these mutlipliers.

Boss guide

This boss guide contains: A description of the fighting styles of all the bosses, their weak points, how to fight them normally and how to fight them in score attack (to obtain a lot of points which are needed for the related trophies).

A small note about the Tsubaki MK-III: This weapon has an amazing charged attack. First, charge up your attack with :square:, then after releasing the initial attack press :square: an additional two times to perform three charged attacks in a row. These attacks do massive damage on bosses and should be used to kill bosses fast during score attack.

Please bear in mind that most of these attacks have no name. I named them myself to make it easier to explain.

Death Metal

Death Metal, also known as the Holy Sword, is the first boss you’ll face. He has a very flashy combo with an unblockable strike at the end. After losing 50% of his life he will summon 2 clones of himself. Once you defeat these clones you can continue the fight with him.

Fighting him normally

 • Sidestep during his flashy combo to slow time and get a lot of quick hits in on him.
 • Dodge the unlockable strike of his flashy combo and he’ll be open in the back.
 • Take his clones out one by one.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

 • Charge up your beam katana with :square: and unleash three charged attacks onto him as he starts his combo. While you’re attacking him with charged strikes you won’t take any damage. After you’re done, quickly back off and recharge your beam katana.
 • Use the three charged attacks on his two clones as well to take those out fast.

Dr. Peace.

This boss uses guns. He will be positioned in the middle of the baseball stadium and will remain in this position.

Fighting him normally

This boss only has three different abilities:

Rapid fire into 1 direction.

Either block or roll sideways. Once he’s dstops shooting, close in on him and attack.

Spinning shot of doom.

He will shoot in pretty much every direction followed up by a final shot directed at you. Keep blocking and try to dodge the final shot by rolling sideways. This will give you enough time to close in on him and attack.

Quickdraw shot.

He will start glowing and prepare to perform a quickdraw. Dodge his shot at the right time and close in on him to attack.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Fight him as you would fight him normally. When he’s preparing for his quickdraw however, charge up your beam katana and unleash three charged attacks on him . You will not take damage from his quickdraw and he will lose a significant amount of health.

Shinobu

This boss is very agile. Down below you can see her abilities and what her openings are. Bear in mind that she will not always be open for attacks after performing sky-high. Other than that she tends to back-off/jump over you once you get a few hits in.

Fighting her normally.

Sonic Sword

She will shoot a energy wave from her sword. Dodge this and close in to attack quickly.

When she’s got barely any health left she can fire consecutive Sonic Swords at you, try to doge them by circling around her or by hiding behind one of the small wooden pillars.

Sky-high

She will jump up by performing a spinning attack.

Dodge this and get a few hits in on her right after she lands if you’re quick enough.

Handstand slash

She will perform a handstand followed up by a horizontal slash. Dodge this attack and get a few hits in on her.

Glowing stab

She will start to glow and perform a swift stab shortly after, dodge this and close in to attack.

Unsheath slash.

She will sheath her blade, rush towards you and then perform a horizontal slash.

Dodge the slash and close in on her to attack.

Omnislash

She will start to glow, hold her sword vertically and follow it up with a rush attack. Once you see her take this stance, just get away from her. If this attack connects it will pretty much kill you instantly. - Credit goes to Quicksilver661 for this information

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

 • Charge up your beam katana and release the three charged hits.
 • Back off to recharge your katana.
 • Repeat this 4 times and she should be defeated within a minute.

Destroyman

This superhero fights with his superpowers. He’s quite slow, his attacks are easy to dodge and he’s open for a longer time than most other bosses after you dodge an attack.

Fighting him normally

 • Destroy beam – He shoots a beam from his ears. You can either block this, or outrun it by circling around him. If you choose to circle around him you can get a few hits in since he will be open to attacks after the beam stops.
 • Destroy Spark – He will rush towards you and emit lightning from his hand. If you’re standing too close you will get shocked by this. Dodge it by rolling backwards and hit him from behind or in his side.
 • Destroy pow – He punches the ground to create a shockwave, simply back off until the shockwave disappears, then close in to strike him.
 • Destroy cannon – Dodge this one by rolling out of the way.
 • Destroy buster – He shoots a big beam from his crotch. Outrun this one just like the destroy beam, and when the beam stops get a few hits in on him. You can also avoid this beam by hiding behind a table or other objects that are located in the middle of the stage.

After taking a significant amount of damage he will fly up in the air along with 3 other objects and shoot a lot of destroy cannons at you. What you want to do is to run up to the yellow control buttons, and either bait him into shooting a destroy cannon at them, or destroying them yourself.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Fight him normally. If you’d charge your beam katana up you’ll run the risk of getting damaged by destroy beam, destroy spark and destroy buster.

Holly Summers

The stage of this boss is really annoying. It’s filled with pitfall traps and if you happen to fall into one you get prompted to either push :circle: or wiggle your sticks around to get out. If you don’t do this fast enough you will receive a lot of damage from her grenades.

Fighting her normally.

Try to move towards her without triggering pitfall traps. They’re very hard to see. There are no pitfall traps in the sea though, so feel free to take this “longer” route towards her.

She has three abilities:

Throwing knifes

She will throw knifes at you, simply block these.

Rockets

She will fire homing rockets towards you, dodge these by circling around her from a decent distance. When the rockets start exploding next to you, close in on her and attack.

Mine

If you’re close she will start glowing and place a mine right below her metal leg. Back off to not get hit by this.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Move in on her and start charging your beam katana. Once she shoots rockets, unleash your charged strikes onto her. You will cut through all her rockets and hit her with your katana. The FPS (frames per second) will drop for a few seconds though, because of all the rockets exploding at the same time.

Harvey Moiseiwitsch Voldarskii

This magican teleports around a lot, has the ability to invert the world and put you into an exploding casket.

Fighting him normally

Pigeons

He can summon pigeons and send them after you. Dodge these and close in to attack

Melee combo

At times Harvey will attack with his dual blades and perform a combo that ends in a stab attack. Dodge the stab and he’ll be open for attacks.

Whirlwind

Harvey will start glowing and then spin around slashing everything around him while moving towards you. Outrun him and he will eventually stop spinning. When he does, quickly turn around and get a few hits in.

Inverted world

Harvey will strike a pose which causes the world to be “up-side-down” and your controls will be inverted. While he’s striking the pose close in on him and prepare to attack right after the world has been inverted.

Casket of Death

He will summon you to assist him with a magic trick. You will be locked up in a casket and have to wiggle your sticks as fast as possible to get out. If you’re too late you will die.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Charge up your beam katana and move towards him. Unleash your three charged attacks during his attacks. You won’t receive damage this way while he receives a lot.

Bad Girl

This boss can do some devastating damage if the blows connect, thankfully she’s very easy to dodge.

Fighting her normally

Homerun preperation

When she’s glowing and preparing herself to swing her bat, you can either wait for the glowing to stop, or hit her once and quickly roll away. Hitting her in that state makes her perform an attack. She will be widely open after this attack.

Sniff Sniff

She will drop down on the floor and start crying.

The "sniff sniff" move she uses as a finisher has 2 different variations, that you can easily recognize and evade/abuse:

1) If she's holding the bat in her right hand while crying, step back. If you go near her, she will start her instant kill combo and you can't do nothing about that.

2) If she let the bat fall and has both hands on the face, she will be totally defensless for a couple of seconds, so charge your best strike and land it on her.

Masochist ball.

When she’s down to about 50% she will try to get to the conveyer belt to swing masochists at you. Make sure that you stand between her and the conveyer belt at all times. This will cause her to dash into you (this won’t do any damage) and back off again. If you keep this up she will never get to the conveyer belt and make the fight a lot easier and quicker.

Score attack – Tsbuaki MK-III

Charge up your beam katana and unleash charged attacks during her attacks.

Once she reaches 50% fight her normally, make sure she doesn’t get to the conveyer belt and that you don’t approach her during Sniff Sniff.

Jeane

This boss is very agile and tends to dodge a lot.

Fighting her normally

She has three phases:

Abilities in Phase 1

Fist combo that ends in an unblockable blow.

You can either sidestep during her blockable blows and get a lot of hits in, or dodge the unblockable blow and counterattack.

Glowing charge.

She will charge towards you at the speed of light.

Dodge this and get a few hits in on her.

Abilities in phase 2

Fist combo that ends in an unblockable blow.

You can either sidestep during her blockable blows and get a lot of hits in, or dodge het unblockable blow and counterattack.

Glowing charge.

This time around she will charge twice in a row.

Dodge both of her charges and get a few hits in.

Ground stomp

She will stomp the ground to create a shockwave, back off while she does this and close in on her afterwards for some attacks.

Abilities in phase 3.

Fist combo that ends in an unblockable blow.

You can either sidestep during her blockable blows and get a lot of hits in, or dodge het unblockable blow and counterattack.

Glowing charge.

This time around she will charge three in a row.

Dodge all three of her charges and get a few hits in.

Ground stomp

She will stomp the ground to create a shockwave, back off while she does this and close in on her afterwards for some attacks.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Charge up and unleash three charged attacks during her attacks. Keep repeating this until you’ve defeated her. This fight shouldn’t last long and should net you around 2.500.000 points.

Henry Cooldown

This boss has a lot of health, which makes the fight last longer than most bosses.

Fighting him normally

Triple spark

Henry will shoot three purple electric balls at you, dodge these by rolling sideways.

Glowing charge

He will charge towards you in a similar manner as Jeane. Dodge this and close in on him quickly for a few hits.

Combo

He has a long combo of attacks that looks pretty difficult to dodge. You can block most of the normal swings. Eventually he will stab the ground, which is followed up by a glowing slash.

Try to sidestep during his normal attacks to get a lot of hits in. Alternatively you can dodge the final attack of the combo and close in on him for some hits.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Fight him normally, but make sure to sidestep during his combo’s as much as possible.

Skelter Helter

A very easy boss that uses both a sword and a gun.

Dodge or block his gunfire, then close in on him to attack.

Nathan Copeland

This boss uses a radio as a weapon. The radio has two uses: firing rockets and becoming sleeves.

Fighting him normally

Radio phase

Dodge the two rockets that he fires, then quickly close in for some hits.

Sleeve phase

Dodge his attacks and grab, then close in on him for some hits.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Fight him normally.

Kimmy Howell

This boss uses a double bladed spear as a weapon and strings some great combo’s with it.

Fighting her normally

Dodge her combo’s and counterattack afterwards.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Charge your beam katana up and unleash three charged attacks during her combo. She will be stunned if all three attacks connect, perform a wrestling move onto her if that’s the case.

Repeat this until she’s dead.

Matt Helms

This boss is very slow but has a lot of health.

Fighting him normally.

Dodge his slow attacks and counterattack afterwards.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Charge your beam katana up and unleash three charged attacks on him. After being hit he will be stunned, perform a quick wrestling move onto him when he's stunned. Repeat this until he’s dead.

Alice Twilight

This boss uses a six-limbed-jet-pack as a weapon and moves very fast.

Fighting her normally

Ground phase

Strike her whenever she’s not blocking. When she performs a combo, either sidestep or dodge, then quickly close in and attack.

Air phase

Move close to her and she will start glowing, followed up by stabbing the ground below her. After stabbing the ground she will be stuck for a few seconds, close in and attack.

Score attack – Tsubaki MK-III

Fight her normally.

Looking good! A few more updates, and this guide should be looking superb. One small thing though, my name has a capital "S".

Hopefully now, I'll stop getting comments how my guide's "illigetimate" or "incorrect". It was made for people that originally imported the JPN version, end of story.

It's fixed!

And yeah those comments seemed quite annoying, they should stop now :p

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/709/ock.jpg Did you find someone stronger than you? (G)

Obtained a total score of 15.000.000 points in Score Attack

...Thankfully it’s easy enough to score 1.500.000+ on most of them...

I just tried Death Metal and got a score of 655500

then Dr. Peace and got 598000

I dont really find it easy to get big points here :(

i got the 15 million in score attack and didn't even touch henry, alice or destroy man....really really easy

i would start with shinobu, kimmy and helter skelter, all of those can be beaten within 40 seconds and you should get 1.5-1.7 million easily on them

as for S ranking all fights,i just got the trophy but because i watched all the cutscenes in super sweet mode in rank 1 i got only an A in the time rating (18 minutes) ,but S in the damage rating,it still popped...even though i had S time rank in the previous playthrough it was the first time for S damage,so i don't think you really need the double S overall

You do need the double S rank in every stage, but not necessarily during one playthrough. Just like other stats this gets carried over once you start a NG+.

Epic eu guide!!!!

but i'm having trouble in one of the assassination gigs, one of those "kill objective in less than 15 secs",where all enemies have LIGHTSABERS and its IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT THE BOSS,not even with the R2+Up+Triangle technique, they all come to you like "NO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY RAAAAAAAAAGE!"....

Know what you mean.. I was kind of surprised too when I saw you had to finish this in 15 secs or less! But it's actually quite doable. I did it on my Sweet (first) playthrough; just run past the useless enemies and to the marked target. Get as close as possible before you lock on him with :l2: because the game tends to give you a different target, and just spam him, he's pretty weak actually.

As you'll see you will get this mission more often. So it's a good effort to become a little better at this. :)

Remember: if you see you have already failed to make it in time, use Select > Break Side Job > Retry to restart immediately

Thanks...i did the mission in 8:40 secs...i got beated down once (not a "NOT MADE" message) but i went to him while holding R2 then Triangle'd him down, then R2+Square and *Mission completed jingle*...

Piece of cake...now,for the hardest one would be the "dont get hurted IN THE BEACH" misision (its one of the final missions...23 i think)....you have to kill everyone who SHOOTS YOU and you have a lil time focusing who to kill first....

EDIT: Yep,mission 23...and by jusssssst killing 7 guys,if you get shot, you complete the job and get the medal...the trick is by R2+Triangle+Up (lolikov balls technique) whenever a soldier stops shooting and doing the attack from a distance, then block any incomin bullets from others and smash R2+Square to instant kill the soldier down infront of you....piece of cake...

Got the job and gig missions trophies...now for the cards, the S RANK (jesus it'll be hard.....),the free fight missions (1 hit you die ones) and shirts and Score Attack...dunno what else @w@...Sounds DAMN HARD THOU....

EDIT !!! XD Finished the game in the hardest setting...now for the "very hot" one XD
