This is how to handle yourselves in Master Ninja Difficulty!

Terms - TDS = True Dragon Swords, G.T. = Guillotine Throw, UT = Ultimate Technique, K-G = Kusari-gama, E-F = Enma Fang, BOTA = Blade Of The Archfiend and D-S = Death Scythe (Eclipse)

At the end of this guide is the way of the weapons videos... If you're having trouble with regular enemies you can watch videos to see the most basic strategy to beat them with. No need to show off.

Boss and Mini-Boss List:

Resetsu - Difficulty 2/10

http://i.imgur.com/Xeo7s0k.jpg

Description - Black and white/grey… It looks similar to a half man and half spider monster. *Note* this mini boss has 2nd form which you will encounter in later chapters. The 2nd form is a red and white/grey. It is not much different than the first form.

Weakness: Head and abdomen. Also, against strong attacks after it releases its four hit combo.

What To Avoid:

#1 - is the grabs. Resetsu has 2 types of grabs. A) An simple one hand extension. B) Both arms grabs to increase reach in its vicinity.

#2 - is the jumping. Resetsu will leap towards you and try to pounce on to you. Avoid with a simple dodge.

#3 - is the sprint. This is where you have enough distance between him, he will began running towards you on all arms/legs. To avoid, simply hold block button.

#4 - is the sickle-like gust. This is like a projectile that the resetsu throws at you mainly because you are far away from. You can’t block this so try to time your dodging and you’ll be fine. Also if you’re up close and he does this attack simply attack him before he attacks you and he will stop.

#5 - is the combos. Nothing specific here, just hold block or avoid them.

Tricks?: Yes, there is a trick to beat him super quick. You can loop him with Ryu or Ayane. For Ryu you must use the Death Sycthe and repeatedly press 360 :triangle: he will not attack if you’re looping properly. For Ayane simply press :square: spam this in order to loop Resetsu. Izuna drop combos with any weapon can also be in your advantage.

Recommended Weapon: (BOTA) Blades Of The Archfiend, Tonfas & Lunar

(BOTA) Blades Of The Archfiend - Resetsu can be dealt with rather quickly... If you mastered this weapon then you know what im talking about... Forward :triangle: (hold) + 360 :triangle: is the perfect combo to handle this boss. When performing this combination starting with the forward :triangle: please be wise, check to see if the resetsu gets stun a bit. If it does, then continue with the following 360 :triangle:

Tonfas - Best weapon to say the least... for average players, simply follow a izuna drop combo...

:square::triangle::square::square::square: , this is to get the loop started. To advance further you can just perform the second izuna drop combo :square::square::square::triangle::square::square::square:... If you do this properly you can have an infinite loop with this weapon. Although you must be well trained in this game and you're chances of performing this is not 100%.

Lunar - Same as the Tonfas... You want to izuna drop combo the resetsu. It's very simple with this weapon and to make you more secure, use a follow up level 1 (UT) Ultimate Technique. Sometimes if you're not quick with your execution you will suffer being grabbed or damaged. So with the Lunar you dont have to completely execute a level 1 (UT). Just till you see an outer glow around the Lunar. Then let go of :triangle:. This is a trick to give you an I-frame (Invincible frame) which will leave you undamaged.

Statue of Liberty - Difficulty 5/10

http://i.imgur.com/JKSKkf5.jpg

Description: - is the statue of liberty. It has chain links that goes around its neck and arms. It also controls lightning

Weakness: - The bracelets on its arms and the necklace. *The Wrists & Neck* The neck will be the last place for you to attack, simply use arrows or the cannon to shoot the necklace off.

What To Avoid:

#1 - Is the lightning aftershocks. It will pound once or it could pound up to three times on the ground with aftershocks. Simply hold the block button and keep dodging to avoid this.

#2 - Is the lightning balls like what its master Alexei does. Simply dodge them. Depending on how much damage you inflict on the statue, the greater the number of lightning balls it will spam.

#3 - Is the pure blasts of lightning. It lets you know when its about to do this attack. It will cock its head back like a taunt and you can easily see the highlighted area where you’re standing. Simply move away from the highlighted region. This statue has a habit of spamming this move so be careful. Also depending on the damage you inflict on to it, it will spam this move from one to three times.

Tricks?: - There's no trick to beat this thing. Just break each chain-like bracelet on its arms then go after the chain-like necklace. If you’re afraid of up close battles the using a long range Ultimate Technique such as the Death Scythe and blast those bracelets. However, you must be smart. Standing there and UT after UT will most likely end in a failure.

Recommended Weapon: (AWD) Any weapon at your disposal. But for not so good players use the Death Sycthe. If you do not have weapon yet, try using the Emma Fang.

Emma Fang - Same as Death Scythe... (hold) :triangle:. Reach level max (UT) Ultimate Technique. Stand at a good enough distance (key: out of the range from the aftershocks)... Just stay smart and try not to misuse this weapon.

Dragon Sword (lvl 2 or above) - Nothing special here... This weapon is the default weapon to handle this boss. :triangle::triangle::triangle: when you have an opening.

Buddha Statue - Difficulty 3/10

http://i.imgur.com/BiDhXoN.jpg

Description: It’s a giant Buddha statue so like almighty Buddha, it has divine powers.

Weakness: - Arms and the head. Similar to the statue of liberty, this boss is an easier version, thus you fight this boss on chapter one.

What To Avoid:

#1 - Grab… This grab is so slow that you can easily dodge it. Avoid it at all cost because on this difficulty will result in a instant kill (Game Over)

#2 - Divine Light… The statue releases this magic that follows where ever you go. You can easily see this by looking at the ground before it hits you. Simple keep dodging this. Depending on how much damage the statue has then the quicker this attack will strike you. Well think of it like this... you take down one arm the the attack will speed up :D

#3 - Ray Beam… The statue also release a red-like laser beam that trails you. Very easy to avoid if you pay attention of the path the laser beam trails. Simply move out of the path and avoid being damage.

#4 - Buddha Palms… Depending how close you are to it. The statue will try to slam on you with its palms. Sometimes just one palm slam, but can also jump to three palm slams.

Tricks?: - No tricks, but there’s a hint I can give… You want to try to get the statue to keep spamming Buddha palms. Its nothing much to do. If you’re at the perfect position you’ll increase your chances of making the statue only spam Buddha palms. You should stand by the hands on either side (outside of the grabs reach). When I mean perfect position, I mean you must stay close to the hand at all times.

Recommended Weapon: (AWD) All weapons at your disposal. You can use any weapon to beat this statue. Best weapons in my opinion is Lunar and (BOTA) Blade Of The Archfiend. With these weapons you can kill this statue very fast. Less than 30 seconds fast. You’re first encounter with the statue will be the dragon sword though.

Lunar - One of the most effective weapon against this boss. 360 :triangle: :triangle: takes a good chunk of health from the statue. You can spam this only after there is an opening.

(BOTA) Blade Of The Archfiend - The weapon is the best weapon in my opinion, because you are easily avoid most of the Buddha attacks with a simple 360 :triangle:. You can attack him however you want to with this weapons, just attack him when there is an opening. Forward :triangle: (hold) takes a good chunk of health from the statue.

Genshin - Difficulty 3/10 (Regular Only)

http://i.imgur.com/kRE51cB.jpg

Description - “Supreme Ninja Overlord of the Black Spider Clan” owner of the Blade Of The Archfiend. Rival of the Dragon Lineage and of course a master ninja.

Weakness - Genshin is a master ninja so he hardly has a weakness. That means you have to create openings on your own.

What To Avoid:

#1 - Flying Swallow… Genshin has a flying swallow like Ryu. To avoid simply just dodge at precise timing or just hold the block button :l1:

#2 - Grab… Genshin will instant kill you with this grab. Its slow and easy to dodge. Don't dodge to his side, only away from him.

#3 - Underworld Drop Combination… Genshin has four hit combo that enter into a death drop which will instant kill you on this difficulty. Simply avoid last hit of this combo by dodging it precisely or holding the block button :l1: (not staggered)

#4 - Ground Charged Attack… Genshin style changes into swift sword stance. Then with quick speed attacks you. He can also used this into a double, which leads into an underworld drop. Stay focus and dodge this.

#5 Ninpo Art: Piercing Void… Genshin uses this jutsu when you damage him quite a bit or if you are too far from him. Know the timing and dodge it.

Tricks?: Yes, there is two tricks to beat Genshin very quickly. Trick #1 - Izuna Drop Loop… use the Lunar weapon and follow up with Izuna drops. If you perform this correctly, you can do this infinite times until Genshin is defeated. Check out video of me doing this method. Trick #2 - Instant Kill or (OHKO) One Hit Knock Out… Can be done with Lunar, Tonfas and Death Scythe. Lunar is the easiest of the one mention because you have to use the second (UT) Ultimate Technique. If done correctly, the final hit of the (UT) will instant kill Genshin. Tonfas and Death Scythe are much harder to pull off and should be avoided at all cost. Death Scythe is the death drop combination. (Very hard to do on Genshin). Tonfas is hell flower drop (Very hard to do on Genshin)

Recommended Weapon - Any weapon can be used. In my opinion the Lunar is the best weapon against him.

Lunar - has longer range than most weapons. You can Izuna drop loop Genshin or instant kill him with this weapon. :square: :triangle: :square: :square: :triangle: (hold) repeat this to continue the loop. Instant kill is the 360 :triangle: (hold) until it reaches max. Luck is also involve with performing this so don’t expect to get this all the time.

Godomos - Difficulty 3/10

http://i.imgur.com/1USgU0D.jpg

Description - Dark giant troll fiend, walks like a gorilla and is blind but has more than enough power and sense to do a great deal of harm and damage to anything in question.

Weakness - Its head is the major weakness, the feet and arms are a weakness too.

What To Avoid:

#1 - Sonic Waves… This troll opens its mouth and release a blast of sonic wave energy. Simply move out of the path of this to avoid being hit.

#2 - Smashes… When you’re close to this boss, its primary attack is to stomp the ground trying to smash you. Its alternate attack will be its fists which if you’re not close but in a range for it to strike you. Simply hold the block button :l1: and dodge as well.

Tricks?: Yes… There’s two tricks you can use to ensure your safety and defeat this boss easily. Trick #1 is to stay near his feet and keep attack but when you see him raises his feet, start holding the block button :l1: then repeat. If you don’t stray too far from his feet, you can continue this like a loop. See video to check out how I’m doing it. Trick #2 is the lure… it sort of glitch where the boss never attack you, but this only work about 35-45% of the time. To lure, you have to be near the wall and focus the boss to walk at an angle near the wall. This allows it to keep walking whilst you attack it. When doing this DO NOT ATTACK the legs. Stay focused on the head or arms.

Recommended Weapon - (AWD) Any weapon at your disposal. All weapons can really hurt this boss because its weak. Your default weapons is the Dragon Sword and Lunar.

Dragon Sword - default weapon for this boss, simply follow up with :triangle: :triangle: combo on its legs.

Lunar - another default weapon for this boss, simply follow up with a 360 :triangle: spam. Keep spamming this when you have an opening.

Electric Worm (GigaDeath) - Difficulty 7/10

http://i.imgur.com/Xaryt2k.jpg

Description - GigaDeath is a large silver fish like creature. It has two large horns coming off of his head. Several round poles stick off of his segmented tail. The tail ends in a fin. Many spikes line the top of him.

Weakness - its body can not be damage by weapons. Only arrows and ninpo can damage it. Lock on arrows cause more damage than regular unlock on ones so if you want this done quick, lock on to this boss.

What To Avoid

#1 - Grab… It's like a grab, but basically this boss picks you up and grind you on the wall. It very funny watching it. On this difficulty this grab is instant death so watch out when this boss is moving faster than normal.

#2 - Lightning Machine Gun… One of the most brutal attacks in this game. This attack is the main reason why this boss is so difficult on this difficulty. Very hard to avoid and you must predict when its about to do it and have great reflexes. To avoid this, use a ninpo. If you have no ninpo, try to run behind it. It only shoots what’s in his path. There’s not much of method to avoid this, but please be aware of it. It’s really annoying.

#3 - Head of Lightning… Giant blast of lightning energy that resembles a head of some sort. I’m guessing it will instant kill you if you in the vicinity of the blast. So avoid it by moving around it. It seems to follow the path of where you are standing at the time it was released.

#4 - Fishes… These fish seem to come out when you attack this boss. They will attack you at random so always be prepare to avoid them.

Tricks?: No tricks to beat it… Its very annoying on this difficulty. Make good use of ninpos. Have 3 unused ninpos and have 3 ninpos in you inventory. 6 ninpos will make this boss very easy. Only use ninpos when you feel like this boss wants to use his machine gun blasts at you. See video on how I defeat this effortlessly.

Recommended Weapon: None. All weapons aren’t useful here. Use only arrows and ninpos.

Marbus - Rachel Only - Difficulty 5/10

http://i.imgur.com/jirj2Pj.png

Description - Archfiend of Hell and one of the Five Greater Fiend Lords of Vigoor.

Black and gold colored, with bat-like wings. From the first Gaiden series and his condition looks like he’s been weaken from his first encounter against Ryu.

Weakness - His whole body is a big weakness. The only problem is he stays in the air so when he attacks with the spiral aerial assault, dodge it and he will be vulnerable afterwards.

What To Avoid

#1 - Flight… Marbus spends most of the time flying in battle. This is an advantage for him because some of slams can be a bit unexpected, so stay alert.

#2 - Energy Blasts… Marbus is able to shoot with Dark Energy. Simply dodge this. Very easy to avoid. Hold down block button :l1: if needed.

#3 - Charge Moves… Marbus has several Charge Moves he uses to get to the ground in a painful way if anyone comes in contact with him. While charging one of these moves, he absorbs all the essence around him. Charge #1 is when he dashes towards you trying to elbow you. Charge #2 is when he does this spiral in the air and this becomes an aerial assault. Dodge this to make him hit his head and cause him to be briefly unconscious. This is the best way to attack him when he’s in this state. Charge #3 same as Charge #2 but instead of spiral aerial assault, it becomes a grab. Can instant kill you if your health isn’t full. If you avoid this properly, same as Charge #2 Marbus will be briefly unconscious. Attack him with heavy attacks, but be careful or he might grab you when he’s conscious again.

#4 - Shadow Fiend Summon… He is able to summon shadow fiends at will. On master ninja difficulty this can be quite annoying. Kill them quickly… Use (UT) Ultimate Technique if you're using Rachel. Izuna Drop combo if you’re using Ryu.

Tricks?: There's no tricks to fight this boss.

Recommended Weapon: With Ryu would be any weapon at your disposal. Rachel is her standard default weapon.

Obaba - Ayane Only - Difficulty 6/10

http://i.imgur.com/pRiIoG8.jpg

Description - was the witch of the Black Spider Clan. Rumoured to be over 100 years old, Obaba is skilled in the arts of witchcraft and Japanese black magic, aided by a magic crystal. She has harness the dragon eye’s power. She has two arms and no legs. The huge ball is her body.

Weakness - She is vulnerable against any attack after she attacks. The most revealing weakness is when she tries jumping on you. Wait until she’s done jumping, you can tell after she bobs her head like she is tired. Hurry and attack her. Great opportunity.

What To Avoid

#1 - Short range grab… If you’re close enough or completely not being wise by spamming her with attacks. She will perform a short range grab. She use both her hands and if she grabs you, she will feast on you. Simply dodge this, do not block grabs. If you’re using Ayane, simply jump when Obaba tries to grab you then in mid-air press :triangle:. You will avoid and damage her in the process. If you’re using Ryu you can either dodge or dodge plus guillotine throw plus flying swallow her. (BOTA) Blade of the archfiend and Tonfas can use the I-frame 360 :triangle: to avoid being grab too.

#2 - Long range grab… This attack is random. If you’re in range, she will stretch her arm long enough to try to grab you. Same as above, you can avoid this in various ways. Just be careful, because usually she will try the short range grab as soon as the long range one is unsuccessful.

#3 - Jumping… Obaba will jump randomly from one to three times. Run away or simply dodge properly until you see her stop and bob her head a bit. This is one of her major weaknesses. Pay attention… When she stops jumping quickly strike her, mainly with the flying swallow. If done correctly, she will fall to the ground, allowing you to get a few free strong attacks on her.

#4 - Whirlwind… A simple attack. She spins like a pinwheel and extends her arms out. This a block breaker. So get ready to dodge when she breaks your guard. Again! This is also one of her major weaknesses as well. After she breaks your guard or after her last hit, quickly run after her and flying swallow her. She will fall to the ground, allowing you to get a few free strong attacks on her.

#5 - Eye of the dragon… Obaba raises her hand summoning energy from the dragon’s eye. She releases a barrage of energy blasts which can be avoid by using your ninpo or at precise timing, perform a flying swallow. You can (UT) her if you are quick to start it off.

#6 - Combos… Obaba swings her arms two or three times at you. Hold the block button :l1: or dodge them.

Tricks?: No tricks for this boss.

Recommended Weapon: Ayane (double kodachi), Ryu (Any weapon at your disposal but the Tonfas are the best weapon.)

Dagra Dai - Difficulty 9/10

http://i.imgur.com/B30IKPE.jpg

Description - is the high priest of the Archfiend. He orders the others to retrieve all the materials necessary to revive the Archfiend, and using his own body he provides a basis for which the Archfiend can be reborn. In other words, he’s the highest amongst the Vazdah guild and is above the greater fiends. He was once human like Hlizebet but was changed with his first encounter with the archfiend. He still looks human until he transforms.

Weakness - He is weak against (UT) Ultimate Techniques. Especially, if you can hit him with it during his electricity blast.

What To Avoid

#1 - Tentacle Elevation: Dagra Dai is able to lift his body high up using his tentacles. He always does so when the fight starts. Simply hold the block button :l1: then dodge afterwards.

#2 - Ground Energy Blast (During Tentacle Elevation): Dagra Dai is able to make energy erupt from the ground while he is high up. Run away from the highlighted areas on the ground to avoid being hit.

#3 - Electricity Blasts: Dagra Dai keeps shooting Electricity at Ryu. This move lasts for a while. Again you are constantly running away when he’s attacking you with this. He spam this move 60-70% of the time.

#4 - Melee Attacks: Dagra Dai has several melee attacks, including a stab throw. You can block the regular melee attacks, but avoid the stab. You can see the stab coming when he points his sword at you. Simple reverse wind (dodge) this.

#5 - Van Ghelf Summon: Dagra Dai can summon Van Ghelves at will, much like Zedonius can summon Gajas. You will want to kill them quickly, because they can really become a distraction.

Tricks?: See video… Run around Dagra Dai and use (UT) Ultimate Techniques. Also have maximum amount of ninpos (5-8) should be fine.

Recommended Weapon - Lunar, because it has an effective 2nd (UT) Ultimate Technique.

Lunar - Best weapon against Dagra Dai in my opinion. Use the weapon 2nd (UT) by pressing 360 :triangle: and use quickly if you’re under attack. You should do this when taking out the Van Ghelfs or when Dagra Dai briefly not attacking you.

Archfiend (Unawakened) - Difficulty 6/10

http://i.imgur.com/6KX1cy4.jpg

Description - Vazdah unawake form. The larval form standing roughly 50 feet tall, his incomplete form resembles a brown grey bug with a deformed humanoid head in a turtle like shell, with armored arms and legs, bone ribs protecting a large orb in his center, large demonic wings and a long skeletal tail.

Weakness - head and orb-like ball in his chest.

What To Avoid

#1 - Blood Vomit: Throughout the battle Vazdah will vomit up blood and guts, usually right after he is struck. Hold the block button :l1: and dodge afterwards. It's best to dodge twice to be more safe.

#2 - Ghost Skull: Vazdah will summon blue flaming Ghost Skulls to follow and home in onto his enemy. Yeah if he's summoning this then you are taking too long to attack him. You must constantly punish this boss. Kill them or dodge them.

#3 - Demon Beam: A high damage attack, a large beam will blast out of his mouth. Usually when he is weakened. This can be annoying on master ninja because this boss will do this randomly. Sometimes it will blast the entire platform so be ready to dodge this precisely.

#4 - Melee: His main attack are arm slam, arm swipe and tail swipe.

Simply dodge this or hold the block button :l1:

For all these attacks you can simply dodge them all

Tricks?: No tricks… Only thing you can do is run away when being attack and perform I-frames with the (BOTA)

Recommended Weapon - None, but use the blade of the archfiend. You will only be using arrows and ninpos to fight this boss.

(BOTA) Blade Of The Archfiend - The reason why I say to use this weapon so you can use the I-frame 360 :triangle: when you’re you see him fire a beam at you. You can avoid most of this boss attacks with this move.

Legendary Archfiend (Vazdah) - 8/10

http://i.imgur.com/tnTsqLM.jpg

Description - His final form roughly the same size, slightly smaller and leaner resembles a large black demon with orange highlights, large antlers, demonic wings and tail.

Weakness - Arms/Hands are the weakness of this boss.

What To Avoid

#1 - Flight: Unlike his incomplete form, in his true form he is able to fly through the air. Since he doesn't flap his wings it's assume to be psionic powered flight. He can make things difficult for you when he's flying. Master ninja difficulty the chance on him spamming this is very high.

#2 - Melee: These are generally arm attacks, a grab move and a ground slam from the air. Simply dodge all and avoid being grabbed.

#3 - Demon Beam: A large beam of energy blasted from his forehead, sweeping around for his targets. You can easily avoid this by hugging the outside region of his arms. You can deal heavy blow to him while he's doing this attack.

#4 - Hell Fire: Vazdah summons meteorites from deep within the volcano to rain down on his enemies. Simply dodge all of them. Run away from it.

#5 - Lightning Bolts: Vazdah creates electric bolts that temporary electrifies a section of the ground. Teleport: An evasive move where Vazdah blinks from one place to another in a mist of darkness.

Simply dodge all of them. Run away from it.

Tricks?: no tricks, you want to keep him on the ground at all times. I would spam 360 :triangle: with (BOTA) Blades of the Archfiend inside his grab reach.

Recommended Weapon - Any weapon, but in my opinion is the (BOTA) Blade of the Archfiend

Bone Goliath - Difficulty 4/10

http://i.imgur.com/9igassi.jpg

Description - Giant Goliath skeleton with golden eyes.

Weakness - Huge orb-like ball implanted in its chest.

What To Avoid

#1 - Melee… This boss loves smashing down on you. On this difficulty, his attacks damages you greatly. Watch out for his spin melee attack as well. Simply hold block button :l1: and dodge.

#2 - Grab… Yes if you get grab then its instant death. So just dodge this with precise timing.

#3 - Bone Barrage… This boss kicks or throws debris of bones at you. Simply dodge this with precise timing.

Tricks?: Yes, see video… use I-frames to your advantage. A simple trick. The Tonfas and (BOTA) can help. Use 360 :triangle: for both weapons when this boss attacks. If you do this every time it attacks you (if done properly) you can avoid being attack and damage this boss at the same time. Also another tip would to use your ninpo when it falls to the ground (see video). It deals great damage towards it.

Recommended Weapon - use trick above, (BOTA) Blade of the Archfiend and Tonfas.

Elizabet's Black Fire Dragon - Difficulty 6/10

http://i.imgur.com/VdS7nhE.jpg

Description - black winged dragon

Weakness - the sides and the back of its legs

What To Avoid

#1 - Dragon Flame… (Unblock-able) Dragon will blow fire from its mouth and its path is horizontal, so avoid it precisely, or perform a ninpo.

#2 - Fiery Eruption…(Unblock-able) Dragon will shoot fire underground, which creates an eruption where your located at. Simply dodge this.

#3 - Dragon Rush Dash… Dragon dashes towards you, taking a huge amount of damage if you’re hit by it. Also this can be done in the air as well, so jump out of its path. Simply dodge this or if you’re not certain you can dodge it, perform a ninpo attack.

#4 - Dragon Smash… Dragon jumps high in the air and tries to land on you. Run far away if you see the dragon off the ground.

#5 - Dragon Rage… After you inflict enough damage towards the dragon, it will power up and have flames pour out of its rib-cage area. You must attack any other place except where the flames are.

#6 - Grab... Its like a grab, the dragon picks you up with its mouth and chews on you. On this difficulty will result as an instant death. You should avoid fighting it near its head.

#7 - Melee... Well the only melee attack it have is its tail. You can easily avoid this attack, but stay on guard at all times because this attack is random.

Tricks?: No tricks… you should concentrate on finishing the boss battle under a minute. The quicker you are, the better the results. Just be rational when fighting this boss.

Recommended Weapon - Lunar, (BOTA) Blade of the Archfiend and Tonfas.

Water Dragon - Difficulty 5/10

http://i.imgur.com/0UiPrrb.jpg

Description - It looks like a superior version of the previous ice dragon. Blue and white colored, long neck with a seal body type.

Weakness - Its head is the only thing you can attack.

What To Avoid

#1 - Ghost fish summoning… This boss can summon ghost fish. If you see the boss turn its head to look behind it, then its summoning ghost fish. Simply kill them quickly. Which method you choose must be fast.

#2 - Water pressure blast… This is like a (UT) from this boss. It will bend its head and open its mouth, then it shoots a charged blast of water at you. This is unblock-able so avoid being hit by it. Tip: you should lure it to the side of platform you're on, then when it fires you can jump to the other side of the platform to avoid this perfectly.

#3 - Ice barrage… This dragon will spam all these attacks, but this attack is most troublesome of them. The dragon launches these ice shards from the back of its neck. You have little room to dodge this, that’s why its challenging to avoid this attack. It’s safe to use a ninpo to avoid this. My way of avoiding this is really hard, so I won’t recommend you doing this without the proper skill (the platform you’re standing on is small, yet has enough space to run around in a circular matter). To avoid this attack, you must pay attention to where the first ice shard comes from. Once that is established, dodge to that side/angle, then quickly keep dodging in a circle from that first ice shard appears. Also, make sure to use a guillotine throw input after you see the last two shards coming at you. My way is more difficult but if you don't have any ninpo, then you can use the Emma Fang UT to avoid being hit by it.

#4 - Torrent eruption… The dragon uses its tentacles to launch a water strike at you. The water can be slow or fast so pay attention to when the dragon whips its head for the attack. To avoid this, you must do like the water pressure blast. You can either dodge this precisely or lure to the side of the platform you’re on, then when it fires you can jump to the other side of the platform to avoid this perfectly. You must be quick about avoid this.

Tricks?: No tricks… See video, you can avoid all attacks by using the Emma Fang (UT) Ultimate Technique.

Recommended Weapon - Emma Fang and Vigoorian Flails. Use Emma Fang for spamming (UT), then use Vigoorian Flails for the ghost fish.

Tengus - Difficulty 6/10

http://i.imgur.com/BKeWo1Z.jpg

Description - Just like the tale of Tengus, they are modified from the fairy tales. Red Tengu and blue Tengu. With wings on their backs and hold huge pike rods. They also a combat Shinto uniform on.

Weakness - They’re really weak after their strong attacks. Once they’re finish attacking hurry and attack them to make them stagger and follow up with more combos.

What To Avoid

#1 - Grab… the grabs can throw you off guard so be aware. The Tengus have 3 types of grabs to be careful of. 1. Is the simple two-handed grab that can be easily avoided with a simple dodge. 2. Is the grab from the pike it carries. The pike grab is very fast and catches you off guard sometimes but the good thing about this is you can actually block this so hold the block button :l1:. 3. Is the dash grab from a distance. This grab is annoying because you can be doing an attack, then the tengu backs off you then after you try to get near it, it will do this grab. Stay on guard.

#2 - Divine wind… Similar to Ryu's ninpo art: wind blades. Run far away from the Tengu to avoid this attack.

#3 - Melee… Avoid and block all combos from the Tengu. You can counter tengu’s first combo if you time it right with holding the block button :l1: then tap either :square: or :triangle:.

#4 - Kunai throw… Tengus will throw explosive kunai at you if you’re far away from it. Usually after you run away from the divine wind attack. Simply hold the block button :l1: or dodge it.

#5 -Tengu drops... Tengus will jump in the air and try to land on you. You can easily dodge this or hold the block button :l1:

Tricks?: Yes, there's several tricks that can be used against Tengus.

Trick #1: Is with Momiji. If you're on chapter 5 and can't beat the Tengus the old fashion way, then simply lure one Tengu into the tiny hallway where you first entered and tap :square: :square:. If you do this correctly then you will loop the Tengu with this attack and kill him effortlessly. See the video for a visual Guide.

Trick #2: is (UT) Ultimate Techniques. You can basically run away and spam (UT) with any weapon. Just make sure to not get hit by explosive kunai or drops of the tengu.

Trick #3: is the counter-attacks. You can beat the tengus by simply holding block button :l1: the entire time and countering them with :square: or :triangle:. Although it does require some skill. But hey, if you’re a noob, then here's your chance to get better right?

Recommended Weapon - Tonfas, Momiji and Rachel (but any weapon is good against this boss).

Volcasmic Armadillo - Difficulty 6/10

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/members/devilryuujin-albums-ninja-gaiden-picture19535-armadillo.jpg

Description - Giant armadillo with holes that looks similar to mini volcano openings on its back. Red and grayish colored, and looks prehistoric.

Weakness - Like a a real life Armadillo, its head and feet are the weaknesses but you want to be careful of getting near it too.

What To Avoid

#1 - Grab… This boss only grabs with the mouth so if you're near the head, then be aware of its grab.

#2 - Volcano flames… The boss will launch a blast of flames then spread them horizontal (side by side) like Elizebet fire dragon. Hurry and run behind the head if you’re far from the it. You avoid this by behind the blast.

#3 - Roundhouse attack… If you're attacking its legs then it will do this move which deals a tremendous amounts of damage. It rises and spins 180 degrees but can be a pain to dodge this so avoid this with perfect timing.

#4 - Giant boulder… The armadillo forms a huge boulder and spinning very fast. It can also create volcanic eruptions which you would have to avoid the balls of fire and the boulder roll. Simply dodge around this attack. Sometimes it can be a pain. Do not use any ninpo for this boss when its spinning like this.

#5 - Volcanic eruptions… If you get the boss’ health down near 50%, it will launch its most devastating attack. The back of this boss shoots countless fire balls randomly. It not guaranteed you can dodge them all, but still try. The only way I found that can be useful is to attack its head to stop it and keep it under control. You must be careful of its grab though.

#6 - Self-Destruction… Once you beaten it, this boss has a going away present for you. The armadillo blows itself up and tries to take you along with it. Simply hold the block button :l1: to avoid being killed on master ninja difficulty.

Tricks?: There’s a trick to keep him under control most of the time. You will have to be always near his head so it can try to grab you. With the double blades level 2 or higher equipped you can just spam I-frame 360 :triangle: see video… Be careful if he does the volcano flames you must hurry and get behind its head. Then continue this trick. Also, if you feel like you can do this trick, make sure you have max amount of ninpos in your inventory and on screen. This boss is weak against piercing void ninpo. Use the ninpos every time you feel you’re about to be attack by the volcanic eruptions. Don’t use ninpos during the boss’ giant boulder attack. It will be ineffective.

Recommended Weapon - Double blades or any weapon at your disposal. Its best to use double blades to perform the trick above.

Any suggestions for avoiding or preventing rasetsu's grab as you're coming down from an air combo? I'm completely frustrated in UN02 when I do a STSSST or SSSTSSST combo using tonfas on him and as I'm landing you can see him reaching out to grab you perfectly as you land.

Well if u r hitting him correctly meaning he is getting stunned a bit while doing the izuna drop then even after u finish the drop he has 2 do his move. Just dodge away from him rightir left. Never dodge in2 the grab. What I found 2 work is if u r doing the SSSTSST even if he does his grab for some reason Ryu shifts a little over 2 the side and doesn't get grabbed. U should no when 2 attack him. Just b alert and u should b fine.

First of all you must practice all bosses before attempting that mission. So go to chapter challenge and focus on defeating each boss/mini-boss without getting touched

That simply means you're not timing it right and you still are too bad of a player to be doing UN02 in the first place if Rasetsu gives you that much trouble.

How many times must we tell you all to go practice in CC.

You will NOT be hit by Rasetsu's grab as you're coming down from the air combo unless you're just spamming the shit out of it because you have no idea what you're doing and are just copying someone you saw on a video.

If you're going to use guides, do not just copy. Use it as a reference for your practice, you're not gonna be an instant Master from reading a guide.

Rasetsu is just like any boss, if you spam without knowin what your doing he will kill you. If you wait for his attacks to finish so he actually staggers when you hit he will not kill you. Capeesh? Now get to practicin!

Sad thing is I did practice from a save point on mentor mode right before a rasetsu so I thought I was ready - I guess he didn't have enough health to be an effective copy of UN02. I'll have to redo it right, using the MNM chapter 1 version.

You're using the one at the end before that helicopter?

MNM would be better, but UN mission bosses have a lot more health then they do in single player campaign. What I suggest you do is see what attacks he actually staggers on so you get a feel for fighting him since he is giving you such trouble. Dont just try to kill him, try to learn him.

Attacks he usually does NOT stagger after.

Basically all of his grabs.

When he does his wide arm grab that has a long range, he usually doesn't stagger after that.

And his faster grab where he rears his left hand back and tries to snatch you. He may or may not stagger from it.

Attacks he WILL stagger after are.

His four hit combo that ends with a kick.

His lunging attack, he usually does a backflip or something, goes on all fours(or however many arms and legs he has) and then lunges at you, it kind of looks like the grab except quicker.

Besides that I wont get into specifics about how to go to town on him, just do that when you really know how to fight him you'll know what to do even during the times he doesn't stagger.

Co op tip - if your using two Ryu once you have him staggered and doing the air combo you each take turns doing it one after the other and it will lock him until he goes down for the Obliterate.

My frame of mind was to practice using the rasetsu I could get to the quickest and that wouldn't OHKO me if I made mistakes, so I loaded up mentor chapter 13 I think (staircase level with liz as final boss). Id get him until he would kneel and then I'd just practice dodging and wait for him to regen his health with several roars before doing more combos on him. Unfortunately, 2 of those combos were enough to kill him so I wouldn't get a chance to see him try to grab me during a combo. Anyway, thanks for the rest of the tips, I'll get him right on MNM.

What do you recommend for practicing obaba? I guess the only thing I can do is practice with ayane in chapter 11 to get a good feel for obaba's moves but I'm still missing ryu's movesets.

obaba is ez as hell. if ur using the tonfas which i assume u r, then this what u do. u wanna try and tempt her 2 do her 360 arms spin move. once she does that u need 2 FS her and this will knock her out for a few seconds and give u enough time to do an izuna drop on her. as far as normal attacks she does i would recommend doing just a forward :triangle::triangle: dash away for safety.

dude these mini-bosses r a cake walk they aren't hard @ all.

just take the tips i told u and u should fine.

one last thing, u know if ur far away obaba has a tendency 2 do the grab move where she stretches an arm towards u. if she does that there is a simple way 2 dodge it. just do :cross:+:square:

Getting a good feel for her moves is good. She doesn't have a lot of combos and is very simple so it's easy to incorporate her into Ryu's moveset if your skilled with your weapon.

She is a simple boss like Rasetsu.

She has her two grabs, one is long range, the other is short range... well even her short range one is pretty long but she is one huge bitch so its understandable.

She has a combo which she will either do one-two-or all three hits.

You can try to hit her after all of these combos, because even if she blocks it she wont counter you.

The most noticeable thing is her spin, if you block and then dodge her spin when its about to break your guard, or just stay away from it until it's over.

After the spin finishes about a second later when she retracts her arms and they are above her head like a bear, if you hit her with a strong attack it will stun her.

If you're far most weapons FS works, and if your close some strong attacks from weapons work as well like the Tonfa's Forward-T.

Good... But i say for beginners to use the K-G... Tonfas can sometime throw ppl for a loop? i notice a guy i was playing with earlier (not saying any psns) but he was using tonfas and it was epic fail. As soon as the game over screen came i had to press no (^_^)
