Introduction

EA Sports welcomes you back to their latest edition of NHL with NHL 12. Just like last year, Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) is back in full force and let’s not forget the widely popular EA Sports Hockey League. This year’s edition put a big focus on the Be A Pro mode, where you take your raw and full of potential created player from the minors in the CHL all the way to NHL with the hopes of becoming an NHL Legend. NHL 12 is no easy game to platinum, but by following the road map and trophy guide it should help you to Raise Your Banner ’12.

Road Map

Step 1: Winter Classic (1 Trophy)

When you first start up the game, do NOT skip or quit the Winter Classic game. Play the entire game and it does not matter if you win or lose as after the game ends you will earn Winter Classic. Make sure you play as PIT.

Step 2: Hockey Ultimate Team (8 Trophies)

Time for some Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT). From the main menu select HUT and create your new HUT team. The game will give you starter packs, and if you have played the demo, have the season pass or online code pass, you will have these special packs available in the store to unlock. If you played HUT last year on your account, then you will earn free pucks, amount varies.

You earn EA pucks by playing in HUT tournaments, playing single player games offline or playing online against random users. You can make life a lot easier on yourself by actually spending real money and buying packs of cards to help increase the overall rating of your team to be able to win easier and increase in rankings to make the playoffs.

After you have your team set up, go and play a single player game offline. You will play against another users team offline and you must win the game to get EAUHL 24/7 Victory. Continue to play EAUHL league games online/offline to earn pucks to buy packs of cards in hopes of getting Complete Set. If you ever have an injured player, then use a injury healer card on your injured player to unlock Team Doctor. You NEED to win games online to qualify for either the Amateur Contender, Pro Contender, or Elite Contender HUT playoffs. The HUT playoffs are played at the end of the month, and if you make the HUT playoffs, you must win 4 straight games in your tournament to unlock HUT Playoff winner. Keep an Eye out for the VAXJO team set found in the Elitserien league. Complete the set to earn Complete Set. Most teams require you to have the 2 jerseys, the team logo, and about 12-20 players. Vaxjo for some reason only requires you to have 3 players, the 2 jerseys and the team logo so keep searching for them and try to buy them when they are cheap. The last HUT trophy and the easiest of all is to train a player past their potential. Taking any player with 1 training slot and adding a +3 to all skill card will net you Past their potential.

Step 3: EASHL (5 trophies)

You need to find some friends or join a random EASHL team. You need to play a minimum of 6 games on your Hockey League Team to fulfill Every man playing a different position each game. (C,RW,LW,RD,LD,G) You will also earn taking shots when you play as the goalie. Stay on that team and play a game when they make it into the playoffs to earn EASHL Playoffs. To make life easy challenge another club and boost EASHL Hero and Hats off. You have to take turns scoring the OT goal since once it's scored the game ends. For the 3 straight goals just pull the goalies to make it a cake walk.

Step 4: EASHL online Pro (3 Trophies)

You can use a combination of drop in games or playing for your EASHL team. To get all 3 you need to play 150 games, 75 wins and have a A- overall. The trophy descriptions tells you what you need for each level. You get graded on staying in position, scoring and assisting goals and not making mistakes. This may be hard for the average player.

Step 5: Online Ranked Shootout (2 Trophies)

Find a friend since he is able to move his goalie to the side and knock out the 2 shootout trophies Russian Rocket and High Flying. See trophy guide to see how that’s done.

Step 6: Be a Pro Mode (17 Trophies)

Ready to grind, then lets grind in Be a Pro (BAP) mode. The majority of BAP trophies need to be earned on Pro difficulty in the NHL. You need to play with your own created player. Any points earned during simmimg will NOT count towards trophies. From the main menu select Be A Pro > Be a Pro.

Easiest Setting Possible: When in the Be A Pro Mode go to Game Settings. Under rules turn off Offsides, Icing and Injuries. Under Gameplay Settings under the Basic settings put skill level to Pro. Press :r2: to go to General. Max out Human Fatigue Recovery, Puck Control, and Player Acceleration. Minimize CPU Fatigue Recovery, Puck Control, and Player Acceleration. Press :r2: again to go to AI. Minimize CPU Faceoff difficulty and CPU Difficulty adjustment. Press :r2: again to go to passing. Max out Pass Assist and Pass speed. Under Pass Accuracy, Pass Reception Ease and Pass Interceptions max out the human and minimize the CPU. Press :r2: again to go to Shooting and max out everything here for the Human and Minimize everything for the CPU. Press :r2: again and go to Checking. Here Maximize everything for Human and Hitting Assistance as well and Minimize everything for the CPU. Press :r2: for the last time to go to goalies. Minimize again here everything for the CPU and Maximize everything for the Human. You can set the style to authentic meaning you will play on shifts or classic which you should, meaning you can play the whole game and just get a ridiculous amount of points. Easier to get Magnificent Mario since you will be on all shifts. We are finally ready to play.

You will want to start out your BAP in the CHL at age 16. During your first season in the CHL you will be going after Happy 20th EA SPORTS™! and you must play the games to earn the trophy. You simulate the rest of the season, and at the start of your second season play every game and score once and then quit. Your BAP should make your teams top line and be invited to play (MUST play the game) the CHL prospect game in early January earning you Top Prospect. In any of your two season your CHL team made the playoffs, won your league playoffs, made it to the final of the Memorial Cup Finals, and won the Memorial Cup (MUST play the game) then you will have earned Memorial Cup.

After earning the three CHL BAP trophies, you can either continue with that pro into the NHL or create a new BAP by either entering at the NHL draft or choosing your own team. If you have the Gameplay Settings adjusted to favor the human, then each BAP game you play you can expect to earn between 8-15 points a game. In your first BAP season you should focus on getting One Great Season, The Great One, Raise the Cup, Legend player, Le Magnifique, Magnificent Mario, The Comeback Kid, From the Office, Mr. Hockey, Superstar, Magnificently Great and Unlucky for some. After your second season is over, you should be able to earn PP Powerhouse and Hopefully One Great Career. You need to average 14 points a game to get there which is hard but not really out of the question. You only get credit for regular season and playoff games so that’s an average of 100 games a year by 14 points is 2800 points. Note: You have to play and score all these points and it all has to be done in the regular season. Playoffs and Preseason do not count. NO SIMMING.

Step 7: Ranked Versus (3 Trophies)

Get to level 25. Trophy guide tells you what is need for the trophies. Playing a player that is a higher skill level then you will net you more points if you win. You will lose less points if you lose. The opposite is true for a player that is a lower ranking then you. You lose to them and you will lose more points. If you beat someone that is a much lower ranking than you, you barely get any points so play someone who is a better ranking than you.

Step 8: Be a GM Mode (1 Trophy)

You need to sim 3/4 seasons in Be a GM mode. See the trophy guide on how to do that. Swap out all good players and put them on your team to make your team the All Star team. Set everything to rookie and sim away.

Step 9: Cleanup (5 Trophies)

You should have gotten all trophies by now. These are all in game ones that are random but should have happened by now. On a Bended Knee is when you score a one timer on one knee. If not increase all sliders maxed and hold down the pass so a fast pass comes out and shoot on net right away. A one timer should happen after all those games you played. A Smash Hit is when you checked a CPU player into the glass. This is very random. King of the Crease is a goalie on goalie fight. Check the trophy guide for more info. Benched is when you check a player into the bench. Any player standing next to the bench check him into it and they should fall into it. Lost His Lid is when an opposing players helmet comes off. Should happen many times and you can also get this after the whistle by checking players.

Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/38.jpgEAUHL 24/7 Victory (B)

Win a match against a downloaded Hockey Ultimate Team

When in HUT, select PlayGame > EAUHL Single Player. Your team will take on a randomly downloaded team from the HUT servers. You can play on the easiest difficulty, just make sure to win the game. The trophy unlocks after the game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/39.jpgTeam Doctor (B)

Use a Healing card to heal an injured player in Hockey Ultimate Team

In your consumables pile, you NEED to have a healing card for either an arm/leg injury or the all injury card. Most healing cards will range in health with most being at 2 games. If you cannot have a player get injured in a HUT game, then choose one player and keep crashing him into the boards as eventually he will get injured. For example, if your player has a 2 game arm injury, then apply the 2 game arm healing card to the player bringing his health back to normal and the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/44.jpgPast Their Potential (B)

Train a player past their potential

This one is quite easy as you need a player on your roster that has only 2 available training slots, and his potential CAN ONLY be 2 higher than his current ability. For example a player that is 75 OVR and has a potential of 77 OVR, so you have to make him reach at least 78 OVR. You NEED to get two Training +2 ALL CARDS, and apply both cards to the player that has only 2 available training slots. After applying both cards to the player, the player will be 1+ better than his overall potential, and the trophy is yours.

Qualify for a Hockey Ultimate Team Elite monthly playoff tournament

Unfortunately, the HUT qualifying trophies do NOT stack. You will need to qualify for each playoff. To unlock a qualifying trophy, select EAUHL playoffs, and the trophy will unlock. Listed below are the rankings and amount of wins needed to qualify for each different playoff. Though be sure to check your ranking, because if more players play, then amount of wins can vary.

  • Amateur Contender- Over 500 points and Ranked up to at least 5999 (1 Win to 2 Wins with at most 1 Loss)
  • Pro Contender- Ranked 6000 to 2799 (3 Wins to 7 Wins with at most 1 Loss)
  • Elite Contender- Ranked 2800 or higher (15+ Wins with at most 1 Loss)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/43.jpgHUT Playoff Winner (S)

Win any Hockey Ultimate Team monthly playoff tournament

Whether you qualified for the Amateur Contender, Pro Contender, or Elite Contender playoffs, you will HAVE to win four straight games to unlock HUT Playoff Winner.

You can use four alternate accounts to qualify for the Amateur Contender playoffs along with your main account. Then boost your four HUT playoff wins on your main account using your other alternate accounts. You may need to find a boosting partner if you do not have an extra PS3 lying around. Win four straight games and you will unlock HUT Playoff Winner.

The other method requires only the use of one alternate account and the alternate account does not have to make the HUT playoffs, and it does not matter what playoff you qualified with your main account as it seems you can be matched up against users who did not make the playoffs. You will need a boosting partner (you can find a boosting partner here by using the HUT Boosting thread), and your partner will need an alternate account. Both of your teams need to be evenly matched in star rating, such as both teams are two star teams. Have your boosting partner be in an online tournament, such as AA National, and your partner searches at the same time in their tournament as you do in your HUT playoff tournament. Get matched up and play a FULL game for the win to count in the tournament. Do this three more times, and you will unlock HUT Playoff Winner.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/45.jpgComplete Set (S)

Collect all player, jersey and logo cards for any team in the Collection

Most teams require you to have the 2 jerseys, the team logo, and about 12-20 players. The quickest way to this trophy is in the ELITSERIEN league, the VAXJO team. The VAXJO team has only 3 players, 2 jerseys, and 1 logo. You can either hope these cards appear in packs you open, win them in an auction, trade for them, or trade with a user here by using the HUT Boosting thread.

Anytime you get a card for the team you are collecting, send those cards to My Collection. Once you have all cards for a team, head over to My Collection and open your collection for that team.

EA SPORTS™ Hockey League (EASHL)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/02.jpgEvery Man (B)

Play as every skater position while completing EA SPORTS™ Hockey League matches

This is done in EASHL matches ONLY. Drop-in games do NOT count. When at the screen to choose your position for game, you need to play a full game at each of the following positions: C,RW, LW, RD, and LD. After playing at each position, the trophy is yours.

*Currently some users are having issues with this unlocking. May need to try playing all five positions in one sitting or try 2-3 times playing all five positions*

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/03.jpgTaking Shots (B)

Play as the goalie while completing an EA SPORTS™ Hockey League match

Play one EASHL match as the goalie. When at the screen to choose your position for game, you need select and play the game as a goalie.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/37.jpgEASHL™ Hero (B)

Score the OT winner in an EA Sports™ Hockey League match

This can be challenging as the tough part is getting your EASHL league match into overtime. Best is to challenge another team where both parties agree to let the game go into overtime, and one member of that team will be the goalie to allow you easy access to score the overtime winner. Need help finding a team to challenge, then use the EASHL boosting thread. After scoring the OT winner, the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/36.jpgHats Off To You (B)(H)

Be the player that scores 3 goals consecutively in an EA SPORTS™ Hockey League match

NEED to score 3 goals consecutively without allowing any teammates to score or the opponent team to score a goal. If you are skilled and your player is rated high enough, then this is possible. Best is to challenge another team where one member of that team will be the goalie to allow you easy access to score, and will not score themselves. If you need help finding a team to let you score 3 times, then use the EASHL boosting thread. Score 3 goals consecutively, and the trophy is yours.

Be a member of an EA SPORTS™ Hockey League team when they participate in a monthly playoff

Need to be a member of an EASHL team. The team needs to have played at least one game to qualify for the monthly playoffs. Need at least 2 team members online to search and play a game. The playoffs take part around the last week of the month. Play the entire game, and when the game is over, the trophy is yours.

To achieve EASHL™ Rookie, EASHL™ Pro, and EASHL™ Legend you will need to either play FULL games (No QUITTING) of EASHL or Online Team Play (OTP)/Drop-In games. If you play unranked EASHL games, then those games will not improve the skill level of your pro. Along with the amount of games you played, you must also win a certain amount of games per level, and your overall performance grade has to increase eventually to an A- or better. You get graded on staying in position, scoring, assisting on goals and not making mistakes. This may be hard for the average user.

Thanks to Kahuna for the extra tip below about how the position you pick determines part of your grade based on your play.

You also you get graded slightly differently depending on which position you play. For example Snipers get rated a little more on goals, Playmakers on passing, Power Forwards on hits, Defenders on goals conceded, etc.

Here the requirements for each EASHL level:

  • Rookie- 10+ games played, 4 wins, and C- overall grade.
  • Pro- 25+ games played, 10 wins, and B- overall grade.
  • Legend- 150+ games played, 75 wins, and A- overall grade.

You also have to search for the game at the same time as them since that’s the only way it will stay ranked. If you need a user to play against check out the Versus/Shootout boosting thread.

To do a skate to skate deke press :l1: and  down to kick the puck off your skate. When it comes back on your stick shoot with the :rs: on the empty net.

To do a Jump deke Press :l1: and  to make your skater jump, then when you land on the ground shoot it by pressing :rs:. Its very hard to score if there is goalie in net, so that’s why you should boost this.

To boost versus find a friend and have their second account play. It's recommend to use 5 extra accounts but not needed. Invite your friend from the leader board and it will be ranked versus. Play the first game all the way through after that quit out 4 games around the 18:00 minute mark in the 1st period along with scoring twice. After you quit out 4 games you will not get points until you play a game all the way through. Then switch to your next account and do the same thing. Also note that the Versus Rookie, Versus Pro, and Versus Legend only unlock after finishing a complete match game. If you need a user to play against check out the Versus/Shootout boosting thread.

Here is the required amount of points to unlock each trophy:

  • Versus Rookie - 700 Points
  • Versus Pro - 950 Points
  • Versus Legend - 1700 Points

Be A Pro (BAP)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/13.jpgHappy 20th EA SPORTS™! (B)

Play & get 20 goals in a Be A Pro CHL season with a created Pro to celebrate 20 years of EA SPORTS™

You have to be in the CHL. You CANNOT sim as you actually have to play for any goals you score to count. The easiest way to score goals is to adjust the sliders. Refer to the settings in the road map. Score 20 goals, and the trophy appears after the game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/15.jpgTop Prospect (B)

Qualify for and complete the CHL Top Prospects game in Be A Pro with a created Pro

This game is available in your second season (though some have had it appear in their first season), if you choose start your BAP career in the CHL and at age 16. You should be on at least the first line of your team to qualify along with averaging a grade of an A or better. Also, your GM of your CHL team will update you throughout the season of your draft status. You need to have a draft status of early 4th round or better.

Using the following method below by Stephleref, will help you reach the prospect game in early January.

Simulate the first season or play the first few games to unlock Happy 20th EA SPORTS™!. In the 2nd season for every game, score a goal and quit. (This is the fastest way I know of to get a good grade every game, and a good grade is an A or better.) By mid-January, you are on the top line and can play in the top prospects game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/14.jpgMemorial Cup (B)

Play and win the Memorial Cup in Be A Pro with a created Pro

You have to win your CHL league championship. After you win your league championship, you will be entered into a four team round robin league. Win all three games you play, and you will placed in the Memorial Cup championship game. You MUST play and win the championship game for the trophy to unlock.

Another way if you don't want the hassle of playing a season/long playoff to just qualify for the Memorial Cup is to start a new BAP at the NHL draft entry and you will automatically start in the Memorial cup Playoff.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/17.jpgMagnificent Mario (B)

Score goals 5 different ways in a NHL Be A Pro game with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

You will NEED to be on the 1st line for your team along with being on the 1st line penalty and power play kill lines. You will NOT be able to earn a shorthanded or power play goal if you are not on the 1st line penalty and power play kill lines. You need to score each of the following five ways listed below in ONE game.

  • Even Strength- This can be 5 on 5 or 4 on 4.
  • Power Play- Your team has a 5 on 4 advantage for at at least 2 minutes.
  • Shorthanded- Your team is down 1 player (5 on 4 disadvantage) for at least 2 minutes
  • Penalty Shot- You have a 1 on 1 shot opportunity versus the opposing teams goalie.
  • Empty Net- The opposing team has pulled their goalie, and there is no goalie in net.

Of the above five ways to score, the Penalty Shot and Empty Net are the hardest. For the Penalty shot, hang out around center ice and ask for the puck by pressing :r2: and skate to score. The AI will about 50% of the time hook/trip you from scoring, and now you just need to score on the goalie (if you have sliders in your favor, then you should score). Empty Net goals are hard because you need be only up one with less than a minute remaining in regulation. If you need to help out the AI, then score own goals to bring the AI team within one goal. Saucer pass :l1: or Direct pass :r2: near your own goalie to score an own goal, and this can take a few tries as your goalie will block a few. After you have scored all five ways, the trophy will unlock.

If you struggling to get this trophy using authentic BAP settings, then you can create a NEW BAP just for this trophy (do NOT delete your other BAP and be warned that you might NOT be on both the Power Play and Penalty Kill lines if you start a new BAP), but change the BAP settings to CLASSIC and time limit to 20 minute periods. Have your BAP be a Defender. Adjust the sliders in your favor as suggested in the roadmap, and play the first preseason game. Score at least 4 goals and quit the game. Simulate the rest of the preseason. You will get told by the GM you have made the 3rd line. Before the first game view the NHL lines for your team. Scroll with :r1: to Power Play (PP) lines Penalty Kill (PK) lines, and see if you have made the both lines (if you don't make both lines, then try again). If you did make both lines, then follow the method above to score five different ways.

If you are on both the PP and PK lines and using classic, then go about this way. In classic BAP have the game set to 20 min periods, have offsides set off, adjust sliders so the CPU team can score and your CPU teamates are weak/commit more penalties. Simulate the game till your team is on a PP. Intervene and score a PP goal. Next score a 5 on 5 (even strength) goal. With offsides off, you can cherry pick a breakaway in hopes of getting a penalty shot. Hopefully your CPU teammates will commit a peanlty, so you can get a shorthanded goal. Finally, you need to be up by one with about 30-40 seconds left and have the puck in your zone so the CPU team will pull their goalie, and score an empty net goal. Thanks to Stephlerf for this tip on classic settings.

Have three 8 point games in a NHL Be A Pro career with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

You can go for this trophy at anytime as it does not matter what line you are playing on, but try to go for it in one season to help you earn One Great Season. If you have the Game play Settings adjusted in your favor as stated in the road map, then you should easily score 8 goals to earn 8 points. You can also earn points by assisting on goal. Try to get at least 6 points through the first two periods to give yourself a reasonable chance at 8 points for the game. Do this two more times and the trophy is yours after the third game.

Earn 8 points in a single NHL Be A Pro playoff game with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

You have to wait till the regular season is over and you are in the playoffs. This can be done in any playoff game. Simply score 8 points. With adjusted sliders, stated in the road map, this is no problem. Points are Goals + Assists. Try to get at least 6 points through the first two periods to give yourself a reasonable chance at 8 points for the game. Trophy unlocks after 8 points have been earned.

Have 7 assists in a single NHL Be A Pro game with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

If you are using the suggested game play setting as listed in roadmap, then this shouldn't be too difficult. The trick is getting your CPU teammates good scoring opportunities. Some of the ways are to be on either side of the goalie and pass the puck :r2: to a teammate, go for the score yourself but at the last second pass the puck to your teammate, or win a face off and your teammate scores.

This may take a game or two as it all depends on your teammates scoring. Try to get at least 5 assists through the first two periods of the game, so in the last period you have more room to do the last 2 assists. After you get 7 assists, the trophy will appear.

Simply score one goal and get one assist. Again, if you are using the suggested game play settings as listed in the road map, then this shouldn't be too difficult. After getting your goal and assist, press :triangle: to start a fight (this could take some tries as the CPU will not always want to fight). Use the :ls: to aim, and use the :rs: to hit. Win the fight, and the trophy appears.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/18.jpgUnlucky for Some (S)

Score 14 shorthanded goals in a NHL Be A Pro season with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

You NEED to be on the Penalty Kill line. Your team is down one man against the opposing team for at most 2 minutes. Your AI teammates will usually try to clear the puck into your opponents side of the ice, but if you press :r2: quick enough, then your AI teammates will pass you the puck. Now, all you NEED to do is score, and if you have the game settings in your favor as suggested in the road map, then scoring will be no problem. Trophy unlocks after the 14th short handed goal is scored.

Credit to Stephleref for the idea of using Classic settings for a NEW BAP and simulating/intervening in games to get shorthanded goals.

You can also create a NEW BAP just for this trophy, but change the BAP settings to CLASSIC and time limit to 20 minute periods. Have your BAP be a RW sniper and select a team like the Montreal Canadians. Adjust the sliders in your favor as suggested in the roadmap and play the first preseason game. Score at least 4 goals and quit the game. Simulate the rest of the preseason. You will get told by the GM you have made the 3rd line. Before the first game view the NHL lines for your team. Scroll with :r1: to Penalty Kill (PK) lines, and see if you have made the Penalty Kill line (about 50% of the time you will land on the PK line). DO NOT play any games, instead SIM each game, and press :cross: to intervene when your team is on a PK. Score a shorthanded goal and quit. Rinse and repeat 13 more times, and the trophy will unlock right after your 14 shorthanded goal.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/19.jpgPP Powerhouse (S)

Have 30 PP goals in 2 different NHL Be A Pro seasons with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

You NEED to be on the Power Play line and you usually get placed on your team Power Play line in your second season when your overall ability is near 74. Your team will have a one man or two man advantage against the opposing team for at least 2 minutes. The opposing team will try to clear the puck into your side of the ice. When your team has the puck, press :r2: for your AI teammates to pass the puck to you and score. Once you score, the Power Play is over. Rinse and repeat each time your team in on a power play and you should easily rack up over 30 power play goals in a season. Do this one more season and the trophy is yours. If you have the game settings in your favor as suggested in the road map, then scoring will be no problem.

*This trophy does appear to be glitched for some, but thanks to Stephleref for finding a way around the glitch, and you WILL want to make an extra save of your BAP to use as a way around the glitch.*

Create a NEW BAP just for this trophy, but change the BAP settings to CLASSIC and time limit to 20 minute periods. Have your BAP be a Defender. Adjust the sliders in your favor as suggested in the roadmap, and play the first two preseason games. Score at least 4 goals and quit the game. Simulate the rest of the preseason. You will get told by the GM you have made the 3rd line. Before the first game view the NHL lines for your team. Scroll with :r1: to Power Play(PP) lines, and see if you have made the Power Play line. DO NOT play any games, instead SIM each game, and press :cross: to intervene when your team is on a PP. Score a power play goal, and quit. Rinse and repeat 29 more times for this season and do it all over again next season for 30 times, and the trophy will unlock right after your 30th shorthanded goal in your second season, but this seems to be glitched because the tracker does not acknowledge the fact that your first season has ended.

The way around the glitch is after you get your 30th PP goal in your first season, for the remaining games simulate games to get sent to the AHL. Boosts will unlock and you will get a 1 next to the "Score 30+ PP goals in 2 seasons in a single be a pro career" Legends Milestones.

Next season play well enough in the preason to make the NHL team. Then after your 30th PP goal in your second season, the trophy will unlock.

If you have the sliders adjusted in your favor as states in the road map, then you should be able to earn 8-15 points game, but try to earn most of your points by scoring. The trophy will unlock once you reach 216 points in ONE season.

When going for One Great Season, you will want to try and score four goals in one period at least once to earn Magnificently Great With sliders in your favor you should easily have more than 4+ games of five. Try to get your first two goals in your first/second shifts in the period, and then try for your last two goals in your third/fourth shifts in the period. 4 Goals or more scored earns you Superstar. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/22.jpgOne Great Career (G)

Earn 2,858 NHL career points in Be A Pro with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher

All points EARNED have to come in the NHL and ONLY regular season points count. Any points you earn by simulating DO NOT count towards this trophy. You actually have to play each BAP game and earn points in the games you play. If you have the sliders adjusted in your favor as states in the road map, then you should be able to earn 8-15 points game. Try to average 14 points a game, which is hard but not out of the question. You only get credit for regular season and playoff games so that’s an average of 100 games a year by 14 points is 2800 points. This can take between 2-3 season of BAP. Trophy unlocks after you EARN 2,858 NHL points.

If you start your BAP on classic settings, then you can actually play full 20 minute periods. You can net around 40-50 points a game going this method if you are using suggested game settings as stated in the road map. This method should only take you one season.

Be A GM

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/30.jpgLegend GM (S)

Go into Game Modes > Be a GM. When setting up the settings make sure to turn the salary cap OFF and playoffs are set to one game series. One game series are quicker and usually the better team wins so there's less simulating. Also, turn OFF CPU trades and waivers. Here's the trick, before you select your team (NHL All-Stars RED TEAM) sub out ALL the NHL teams with teams from other leagues that are 68 overall and below. Make sure the team you will be using is set to use the the NHL All-Stars RED TEAM.

Now go ahead and start to sim away (but be warned that you will need to hit :cross: a few times to continue sim as you will get messages from your owner), and in this NHL league you will average 62-70 wins per season. Just remember to re-sign your players each off season and within 3-4 seasons you will reach Legendary status and unlock the trophy.

One last thing, when in the playoffs make extra saves in case you happen by chance to lose a game.

First time you start up the game you are placed in the Winter Classic game between the Penguins and Capitols. Do NOT quit the game, and play as the Penguins for the entire game to earn the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/31.jpgOn Bended Knee (B)

Score with a one knee one timer

Play a Play Now game using a good NHL team like Tampa Bay against a team from any other league. When in the game, you will want pass to your sniper, like Stamkos, by pressing :r2:. When Stamkos gets ready to receive the puck hold :l2: to go down to one knee, and hold your , then move it  when you get the puck to shoot.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/32.jpgA Smash Hit (B)

Break a pane of glass with a hit on a CPU player

This is one is tricky and random. You are going to try and wait for a CPU player be near or coming along the boards, and you are going to be charging for a hit with the :rs: to hit the CPU player. You can also try after an icing call as sometimes the CPU will stop near the glass, and then just charge into the CPU. This will take many tries. Even if you have the tallest player, you still might not break the glass. The video below shows an example.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/33.jpgKing of the Crease (B)

Win a goalie versus goalie fight

Play a Play Now game using any two teams with two controllers. At the start of the game, pause the game and player lock on the goalie for each team. Now press :cross: with controller 1 to skate to center ice, and the fight sequence will pop up between the two goalies. Press :triangle: on controller 2 to accept the fight. Win the fight against controller 2, and the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/34.jpgBenched! (B)

Check an opposing player into the benches

You are going to try and wait for a CPU player/Controller 2 to be near or coming along benches, and you are going to be charging for a hit with the :rs: to hit the player. A bigger player against a smaller player works best. May take a few tries, but you'll eventually dump over the benches.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/971/35.jpgLost His Lid (B)

Knock the helmet off an opposing player's head

You are going to try and wait for a CPU player/Controller 2 be near or coming along the boards, and you are going to be charging for a hit with the :rs: to hit the player. A bigger player against a smaller player works best. You can also knock the mask off the goalie to counts as well. Wait till there is a whistle and skate as hard as you can and nail the goalie. 50% of the time the goalie's mask will come off. Trophy appears after the helmet/mask comes off.

Do you know if you sim and then intervene in a BAP NHL game if the points you get still count? I assume they do since they get tracked in your career progress screen.

not sure but you barely get any points. maybe 2-3 max which with sliders adjusted u can get in 2 minutes so let alone your loading times of only playing the 3rd period and hoping to get points prior to u joining will probably not cut down the time of doing it that way. im really not sure though if anyone knows???

Thanks a lot for the guide. I've been playing a lot and I'm gonna try to knock down a lot of these trophies. I've been having trouble scoring a ton in BAP. I'm always one point away from getting each trophy, the 8 point one and the 7 assist trophies.

I dont' use the default settings, I use the classic setttings. Is there any way I can do the on bended knee, russian rocket, or any other of the special goal scoring trophys with the classic control settings? or Do i need to practice those moves on default settings and be frusterated for a week? lol thanks.

the shoot out on you definitely have to change it to default to do. boost them, their easy that way. the one timer i would assume you can do on classic. just hold down the pass button and shoot it right before the pass gets to u.

No problem. Here to help out fellow trophy hunters :)

If your having trouble scoring, then make sure to check out the Easiest Setting Possible Settings in the roadmap. Those settings will help make scoring and getting assists much easier. Assists are tricky as the CPU will sometimes pass up a shot.

Nah, Just now, about a half hour ago, I got both of these trophies. The High flyer, and the Russian rocket trophies. And I did them BOTH with the classic settings. So I can confirm that you can use both default, AND CLASSIC settings to do these dekes and get the trophies. Made my life sooo easy. I'm going to try the bended knee trophy tommorow. (Its always sunny in philadelphia is on. aint missing it)

Hope i can help you guys using the classic controls, As i'm stuck in the 90s and love simplicity lol.

For all the offline NHL Be A Pro trophies, can't you just start a NHL Be a Pro career with the team you want ?

Yes, you can start your NHL BAP with any team you want.

It's just if you want the three CHL trophies, then you need start a BAP in the CHL. You can always get the three CHL trophies, and then start a new BAP career in the NHL.

If you start a BAP career in the NHL with the team you want, then you will start off in the preseason. Do well in the preseason, and you will make the third line on the NHL team.

Great guide :D

Past Their Potential (Train a player past their potential) -you've put you need two training cards to get the trophy.

I've got a player in my HUT that only has one training slot and would only need one training card to get the trophy. I'll have to double check the exact player, but he's a LD for Grand Rapids of the AHL. I'm sure there would be a few more with only one training slot too.

I've seen the 'training - all' cards go for 1000+ at auction at the moment which is the only bad thing :(

Also for the EASHL Rookie/Pro/Legend trophies you get graded slightly differently depending on which position you play. For example Snipers get rated a little more on goals, Playmakers on passing, Power Fowards on hits, Defenders on goals conceeded, etc.

Mr Hockey - I always thought in a Gordie Howe hat trick you didn;'t need to win the fight, just take part in one  maybe somone can confirm the trophy works even if you lose the fight?
