Introduction:

New Little King's Story, is an indirect port of the niche Wii title Little King's Story. You control a King by the name of Corobo, who is forced to escape his kingdom after a sudden attack by an unknown force. Corobo has to rebuild the kingdom with the help of his advisors and rearm to take back his castle.

The gameplay is similar to Pikmin; you control Corobo directly and can have up to 30 Royal Guards following you on your journey. Royal Guards can have different jobs, ranging from combat classes to lumberjacks and miners who can clear wooden or rock obstacles in your way.

You can also have 1 out of the 7 available Princesses on your team who act as an assist (increase attack power, heal, raise attack speed etc.).

Long story short, hunt for treasure with Royal Guards, use funds to rebuild your kingdom and take back what's yours!

Field Manual:

: Change battle formation (Upgrade required)

: Disband Royal Guards (Only in town)

:left::right:: Adjust camera angle.

:square:: Command Royal Guards to charge.

:circle:: Scout citizens/princesses

:triangle::Command Royal Guards to retreate.

:cross: General Action button (Attack, Converse, Read etc.)

:vitar: Turn on/off aiming assist

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Finish the storyline.

The main objective of this game is to save the 7 princesses and defeat the final boss. There are several trophies which you will obtain during this step and they're unmissable due to them being tied to scripted events.

You will probably also unlock other trophies such as Onii Hunter, which can be gotten if you play the game long enough.

Step 2: Get the other 8 endings.

Depending on which ending you got during your first playthrough, there are 8 other endings that you will need to watch to get the other ending-related trophies.

Refer to Just As You Are and Eternal Happiness for a detailed guide on how to get these trophies.

Step 3: Cleanup

After obtaining all the story-related trophies, it's time to move on to the miscellaneous trophies. A detailed guide on how to get every single trophy can be found in the next section of this guide.

Trophy Guide:

Story-related Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/01.jpg Kingiest King EVER (P)

You fulfilled ALL accomplishments in the kingdom!

Collect the other 49 trophies for this.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/02.jpg Escape King (B)

Cleared the escape tutorial

Simply follow Azul's instructions and this trophy will pop once you leave the cavern.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/03.jpg Poverty Elimination King (B)

Saved 100,000 Bol and built your first workhouse.

Again, follow the instructions given to you. You will need to scout (:circle:) people and send them to dig cracks found on the ground around your castle. Cracks - and later bushes, jars and trash cans - will always yield swag.

Collect a few, go back and sit on your throne to have them appraised. Accumulate 100,000 Bol and the trophy will pop once the conversation ends.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/04.jpg Half-baked King (B)

Cleared Liam's tutorial

The next tutorial requires you to build a bridge. Again, follow instructions and build a Carpenter Hut, scout (:circle:) a carefree adult and charge (:square:) him/her into the hut.

He or she will come out as a Carpenter.

Charge (:square:) him/her into the sign next to Liam and you will get this trophy once the conversation ends.

Obliterated Blue Dragon

All the trophies linked with this one are Submonster related (mini-bosses), and defeating them will always lead to an expansion of your kingdom. The first one is story related while the rest are obtained from your throne's suggestion box (unlocks once you progress).

They're not missable so you can do them whenever you want. However, they only unlock after saving a Princess. 1-2 Submonster Quests will be generated for each Princess saved.

They're all pretty much the same and don't require any tactics whatsoever. Just avoid attacks and hit them when they're cooling down.

If you are not sure where they are, just open the map once you receive the quest and press :vital: to show the exact position of the quest targets. The blue dragon however, is underneath a crystal nearby. Destroy it and follow the path underneath.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/14.jpg Arrogance King (B)

Obliterated Onii Followers

This boss' name is actually Onii King. He's an actual story-related boss and he holds 1 of the 7 princesses, Apricot.

Every major boss in this game has a minigame/tactic of it's own:

[spoiler=123]For this one you need to defeat Onii King, who is in the far back of the map. On his left and right, there are 2-4 lesser Oniis who will keep hurling stuff to hit you and your soldiers. It is best if you have Animal Hunters for this one to take care of at least one side of lesser Oniis while your melee soldiers whack Onii King.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/15.jpg Sloth King (B)

Obliterated Troublesome Drunkards

This boss' name is actually Drunken Tengu. He holds 1 of the 7 princesses captive, Sakura.

[spoiler=124]This boss is not too hard, he doesn't require any special strategy like the other major bosses. Just watch out for his Tornado Attack, which has a pretty large AoE. He can also poison your Royal Guards, so watch out for that too.

Other than that, hit it 'til it dies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/16.jpg Face-stuffing King (B)

Obliterated Dessert-lovers

This boss' name is actually King Shishkebaboo. He holds 1 of the 7 princesses captive, Amabile.

[spoiler=125]This boss battle is actually a pinball game. King Corobo is the flipper and Shishkebaboo is the ball. To trigger the flipper you simply press :square:, which will send one of your guards forward. When the guard comes in contact with Shishkebaboo, the latter will be propelled forward. Your goal will be to hit the obstacles on the course to reduce his weight. Once he reaches 50kg, push him into a fork to end the battle.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/17.jpg Rage King (B)

Obliterated Blitzing Birds

This boss' name is actually Thunder Bird. He is guarding 1 of the 7 princesses, Shizuka.

[spoiler=126]Thunder Bird, as the name implies, is an aerial boss. This doesn't mean that you can't hit him with melee guards. As long as he's not too high up, your Grunts can still reach him by jumping and grabbing on to it.

The easiest way to kill him however, is to get a few (I used 5) Animal Hunters to shoot him down. He takes a lot of time to recover once he lies on the ground, so send all your Grunts to end him.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/18.jpg Greed King (B)

Obliterated Pervy Producer

This boss' name is actually TV Dinnah. He holds 1 of the 7 princesses captive, Kokomo Pine.

[spoiler=127]TV Dinnah is one of the more annoying bosses in this game. The whole battle is actually a race that you can't win. So what do you if you can't win? Kill your competitor, that's what.

This boss battle is the only battle where the touchscreen comes in handy.

Use mainly Grunts or Hardened Soldiers to get the Oniis out of the way by tapping them and send more to finish him when there are no more Oniis. There is always an Onii holding up a sign indicating how much distance is left to the goal.

May take 4-5 "assaults" until he dies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/19.jpg Naughty King (B)

Obliterated Casanova

This boss' name is actually Lord Sauvage. He holds 1 of the 7 princesses captive, Iris.

[spoiler=128]This one's a fun boss if you know what you're doing. Basically your objective is to reach the top of a mountain while Lord Sauvage tries to kill you. You can use the alcoves found almost everywhere to hide for a few seconds.

This is a list of all the obstacles/traps in order of appearance:

1. Molotov Mounties - They're easy enough to avoid.

2. Stomping Beard - Just wait until it goes up and run through them.

3. Swinging Beard - One hit KO! Wait until they swing to the far end and run!

4. 50:50 cave - Outside of the cave you will find a tall sign. Read it for the solution. Some arrows inside the cavern lie!

5. Carpenter sign - You will need at least one carpenter to win this battle!

After the carpenter sign, run up to Lord Sauvage and end this battle.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/20.jpg Envy King (B)

Obliterated Weirdo

This boss' name is actually Mechanic Onii. He holds 1 of the 7 princesses captive, Corina.

[spoiler=129]Easiest out of the 8 bosses. His attacks take forever to charge and he needs to cool down after each attack, giving you more than enough time to hit him a few times.

Just don't be too greedy and retreat (:circle:) when he starts smoking.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/21.jpg Hero King (G)

Stopped Destruction of the World

Defeat Nightmare.

[spoiler=130]Nightmare is the final boss of this game. Disband your party and hire as many Hardened Soldiers as you can. A few Animal Hunters are good too.

The battle is pretty quick if you have a full combat party like the one I mentioned above.

The battle consists of 2 parts:

Part 1: Nightmare will try to trap your chosen princess in a crystal. When the princess is trapped, you will deal minimal damage to Nightmare, so destroy the crystal first and then take care of Nightmare.

Part 2: In this part, Nightmare will teleport and sometimes leave a fake copy of himself. While cloning, you can see in which direction he escapes. The real Nightmare is always the one who changes places. The copies cannot teleport. Nightmare also doesn't regenerate, so it's easy to find the original amongst the copies.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/29.jpg Just As You Are (S)

Lived happily ever after with a defiant person

MISSABLE!

Finish the game with Verde.

After saving the princesses a second time, you will initiate the final phase of the game. After setting up your Royal Guards, speak to Azul outside of the castle and he will bring you to the cavern from the beginning of the game.

Here you may choose which princess you want to marry at the end of the game. Make a separate save before talking to Azul outside of the castle, so you can reload the file to get the other endings without starting a NG!

Do this 8 times for all the 7 princesses + Verde for these trophies.

NOTE: Verde will not appear as an option if you have a Princess scouted when you talk to Azul outside of the castle! Fire the princess first before talking to him.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/30.jpg Eternal Happiness (G)

Everyone Lived Happily Ever After

MISSABLE!

Finish the game with all the princesses' affection level maxed out. Continuing from your backup save above, just scout (:circle:) a princess at a time and spend time with her (battle, quests, hunting treasures etc.) and the gauge should increase slowly.

Check out the citizens list via your throne to check the affection level. Your goal is to make all 7 of them have a :) beside their names.

The fastest way to get a :) is to hire a princess of your choice and rubber-band your left analog stick while inside the dining room. Do something else and come back every hour to check on her affection level.

Once they all have :), finish the game a last time for this trophy.

NOTE: It doesn't matter which princess you choose at the end for this ending! However, also remember that if you get all your princesses to have :) prior to getting the other silver trophies, you are unable to get them unless you kill off one of them!

RECOMMENDATION: Always bring a princess with you (preferably one who doesn't have maxed affection yet). It took me 23 hours to get all the trophies and this particular trophy made my timer jump to 51 hours. That's 28 hours of rubber-banding!

Miscellaneous Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/31.jpg Holler at Tomorrow! (B)

Screamed at the Sea

When you look at the map, you will see that there's a beach east of your castle. Walk over there with a few of your Royal Guards and get as close to the shore as possible. Charge (:square:) your Royal Guards directly into the ocean and this trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/32.jpg Onii Hunter (B)

Obliterated 100 Onii

Oniis are the little black fellas with a yellow pointy horn found almost everywhere in the game. They come in different sizes, shapes and classes (Regular, Ball, carrying pots, carrying cows etc.). Killing any of them will count towards this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/33.jpg Smooch Monster (B)

Kissed a Princess 10 Times

Once you save Apricot, your castle will be upgraded and you will notice a door in the castle with a heart on top of it. This door leads to the Princesses' dining room.

Just keep talking to any princess until she gives Corobo a kiss. This can be repeated as often as you want, at any time, it also doesn't matter which princess gives Corobo a kiss. They all add up.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/34.jpg Karefree Kingdom (B)

Carefree Population Reached 100 People, Causing a Job Shortage

Carefree people are citizens of your kingdom who don't have a class/job. They're pretty much useless in battle. The carefree children however are the only ones who can obtain treasures which are found on top of tall blue trees which you will encounter on your journey.

To increase the number of carefree citizens, simply build more houses through your throne room (You will get the option to build more houses as you progress). You can also make two of your citizens marry each other if they're in love. To check whether they are, and who they're in love with, go to your throne room and choose Citizen List. Under each citizen's picture, you will see a heart and the name of the person they love.

If both names match, you can charge (:square:) them into the church (unlocked after tutorials) and they will marry, plus a stork will drop a carefree child.

You can also make anyone who already has a job become carefree by charging them (:square:) against the Carefree Rock, found right outside of the castle.

Once you reach 100, the trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/35.jpg Tyrant King (B)

Total Number of Incapacitated Citizens Reached 50

It's as simple as it sounds. When a Royal Guard in your party is knocked out, he/she will be sent directly to the hospital (the hospital is unlocked after the first few tutorials). It usually takes several days for them to recover fully, but you can hasten the process by going to the back of the hospital room and reading the board on the far right corner. Pay up 10,000 Bol for each defeated soldier and they will recover immediately.

50 deaths and the trophy is yours.

NOTE: If you need to grind this, there are a few monsters who can KO several of your guards in one shot. The best are the Onii Workers (Dragon Tail) found to the east of Sobamanjaro.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/36.jpg JUMP! Cannon King (B)

Used JUMP! Cannon Over 50 Times

The JUMP! Cannon is the only means to "fast-travel" in this game. It is unlocked after saving the first princess or clearing a few daily quests. When you sit on your throne, Azul will tell you that a peddling merchant has come to build a few things. The first will be the above mentioned cannon.

Use it 50 times and you will obtain this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/37.jpg Weapon King (B)

Collected 15 Types of Weapons

Refer to Wig-out King for further details.

Collect the required amount and the trophies are yours.

Cleared 15 Quests

Refer to Humanitarian King for further details.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1482/41.jpg Humanitarian King (B)

Cleared 30 Quests

There are 3 types of quests in this game: Sub-quests, Submonster quests and Princess quests.

Sub quests are daily quests and new ones come as you sleep.

Submonster quests are always mini-boss related and more unlock as you progress. After clearing one of these, your kingdom will expand.

Princess quests are the longest and always require some sort of collecting.

Complete 15 and 30 of any of the quests for these trophies.

There are 30 citizens in your kingdom who can teach you songs. They are marked as a musical note on your minimap and will appear if you are close to them. They only start singing between 10PM and 12AM.

Alternatively, you can set your alarm clock to 10PM and go to the pedestal to summon your citizens. Summon each group once, and if you see a note amongst them, hire him/her and immediately disband. Talk to him/her for a song. Rinse and repeat with each group.

Note that if no one spawns with a note, all you need to do is sleep until 10PM again. All songs can be obtained with this method.

More info down below.

Collected 100,000,000 Bol

It's not as much as it sounds. Each defeated major boss will net you ~5,000,000 Bol, and the later ones up to 30,000,000 Bol.

Note that you have to have 100,000,000 Bol in your pocket for the trophy to pop. It's not cumulative.

Thanks to RWT for pointing out the following farming method:

Hi i have found an easy way to farm fat bucks king trophy.

After you finish tv dinnah boss, get your trump team and go back to where the tv sucked you in, note that all your members are now with you. Go to the next tv on the first island then you will be teleported to island with sweet spot 7. Go to next tv again and you will be telleported to island with 2 options(tv's) take right option this will teleport you to island with hole, dig up hole, it is full of gold bars gold bags and ends with gold star. Go to previous island and then back to one with the hole. with an empty toolbag you can earn up to $12 000 000 per toolbag when bag is full. I used my trump team because they seem to dig fast. Took me less than an hour to get from 30 000 000 to 100 000 000 bol.

We don't allow Work In Progress guides. You'll need to have some content for every trophy before it can be worked on in the forums. On top of that, you don't yet have 50% of the trophies (according to your trophy cards), which is a requirement for uploading it.

This will be locked for the time being, though we can open it upon request once you have enough content for it, and once you have at least 50% of the trophies.

EDIT: Re-opened by request.

Quick tip for you, the portion that you call Road Map, is actually called Walkthrough. The entire first post is considered the Road Map, not just the steps.

Ah ok thanks! I always though the roadmap was the part which tells a user how to proceed with trophy hunting :)

Will change it asap!

Thx a lot for this guide, I will use it when I got this game... Just one thing, maybe you should add the "Save" that you need to make to get all the endings on the Step 1 of the Walktrough, I'm not sure but it seems that you need to pass the game again if you don't make that save and get all the endings?

Done :) thanks for the feedback!

Hey, nice guide :) I've listed below some comments/suggestions - none of the changes mentioned are strictly necessary, but I thought I'd mention them anyways if you want to consider them ^^ Keep up the good work!

Perhaps some additional info on All-time Submonster Champion could be useful? Blue Dragon is "hidden" unlike the other opponents and has caused some people trouble beating (Google results, at least one poster here). There are also some other sub-bosses that have those one-hit kill moves for regular guards (one of the big mushrooms and turnips at least), if you want to mention/warn about those. Up to you though.

For Greed King, "This boss battle is the only battle where the touchscreen comes in handy" isn't completely correct since you have a second fight like this later on in one of the encyclopedia quests.

Naughty King, perhaps also mention that the 50:50 cave itself will lie about the directions? Some may forget the sign instructions and think the arrows inside correspond to it.

Eternal Happiness could mention that you can choose any princess for the final battle and still get the ending so people will not get confused when they still have to choose despite all princesses being happy.

Tyrant King: In case people need to grind this, maybe mentioning some easy 1-Hit KO enemies would be of use? Like the Onii that carry the dragon tails (as long as the royal guard are not wearing any items that prevent them being blown out of the screen).

Conquistador King: "All but two of them" isn't quite accurate depending on what you mean. If you mean two enemies (Golden Escargot, Reborn Dragon?) are only found in scripted spots and not in daily quests, then that does not account for the boss fights or the fact that Reborn Dragon can also be faced in a daily quest ("all but" is also a slight issue here, see the next part of this); if you mean that most of them are part of daily quests (and the rest such as bosses scripted), then it would be more correct except for the use of "all but" which means nearly/almost and not "all except" (the "two" following it would not fit this either).

Lastly, none of the encyclopedia trophies mention how the encyclopedias are obtained. Naturally that's not exactly necessary, but could help someone who is looking at the trophy guide before playing the game/getting any princesses.

All-time Submonster Champion - Done! Although I don't think it's necessary to mention that some of them can OHKO. Besides I can't fit any more in the first post ;)

Greed King - I didn't edit this yet because I am unsure which boss you were referring to? I have completed all encyclopedias except for the Spot Encyclopedia and I haven't met any other boss who can/should be defeated with the touch screen. Unless you're referring to TV Dinnah's second battle. I didn't mention it because the battle isn't tied to a trophy, besides it's the exact same battle :)

Naughty King - Done!

Eternal Happiness - Done!

Tyrant King - Done!

Conquistador King - I didn't know Reborn Dragon can be fought in a daily quest  I made sure I finished all the daily quests every single day but I still haven't gotten one yet where killing him was the objective.

Other than that, I removed him from the "random monster only" list!

Done!

Where to get Encyclopedias? - Done!

Yup, the second TV Dinnah battle is what I meant, sorry xD Just mentioning it since you said it's the only boss battle that the touch screen is useful for.

As the daily quests are random, you may never end up meeting him through them. I got the Reborn Dragon daily quest three times before I got my platinum :)

How do I get citizens to fall in love? I need a carefree child for the job encyclopedia, yet I cant seem to make it work.

Any suggestions? Is there something I should be doing?

It's really random. What I did was to make my royal guards 50/50 male/female.

After a few missions or so I would just charge all 30 of them into the church. Some of them are bound to marry one another.

I did this only once but I got 6 children out of it.

Congratulations on the sticky, YenRou :D

Congratulations :)

Thanks guys :)
