Introduction:

For those of you that haven't played Need For Speed games, they are simple street racing games. In Undercover you take the place of an Undercover cop trying to get to the 'big boys' of the streets. (I'm not going to spoil it for you, you get the idea anyway). The fun thing is that it seems that the police are unaware of who you are and chase you, giving the game the added fun of destroying object that are large to try and block the cars getting through. The racing is as always the best part of need for speed with tons of cars for you to choose from. At the start of the Career the races are won with no trouble at all but then for me it seemed that even after pimping out the spec of my Lancer the opponents were on a completely different level. For me this is a good game and was a step away from all the shooters that I have been playing recently and in a way reminded me of the original NFS.

The trophies themselves are easy to get and I didn't have many problems whilst playing the game but the only problem you may encounter are the frequent server problems, because they aren't very good and have deteriorated over the years.

Walkthrough:

Step 1 - Offline Trophies

The offline trophies mostly are done in the story mode so I would say play through that first and collect all the trophies to do with the story. After completing the story start to get the trophies where you have to dominate an event, there are 8 races that have to be dominated in the game and they count towards the trophy Own the Road. When going for the Completionist you would earn most of the other offline trophies as well. Offline really isn't a problem and you can always have the choice of going back to finished races afterwards.

Step 2 - Online Trophies

For some of the online trophies it will require you to have an EA Nation account. By creating one or logging into an existing account you will earn the 'Community Member' trophy. Also when in a race press start and go into the 'Photo Mode'. Take one picture and you'll earn yourself another trophy but this also requires an EA Nation account. For First!, Crossing the Line and First of Many I would suggest starting a Cops N' Robbers game and hope for 7 other people to join. Online is pretty dead so this trophy may need some boosting. As long as your on the winning team you'll get two but you need to come top so having a good car and being quick on your feet when the money appears on the map will mean your more likely to. From playing Cops N' Robbers you also have the chance of getting the Viral Trophy, Cat and Mouse Virus. Many people have been infected so you'll easily get this by just playing.

Notorious is a trophy many people are having trouble with as they believe they have met the requirement and completed 119 races so make sure you don't get disconnected or quit midway through a race, else that won't count towards the total. Also make sure you cross the finish line because after someone has passed the line it sets off a timer. Cops N' Robbers is the best way to get the 119 finishes as you can sit idle in this and they will still count. By finishing 119 Cops N' Robbers, your bound to earn Among the Best as well.

01.jpg  Platinum Trophy (P)

Platinum Trophy

Just get every other trophy in the game.

02.jpg  Community Member (B)

Create or use an existing account to sign into EA Nation

:tagonline:

This is an easy one, just register for EA Nation. It doesn't take long to register.

03.jpg  Active Community Member (B)

Participated in any Community Day. Visit NeedforSpeed.com for more info.

:tagonline: :tagmulti:

EA sometimes hold random events e.g. race weekends, just finish an event on a community day and you should get the trophy. To see if a community day is coming, see the following link: LINK

04.jpg  First! (B)

Won a Multiplayer Ranked Game

:tagonline: :tagmulti:

Just play online and win. If you are having any trouble doing so then I would suggest posting for some help in the boosting thread. The best game to choose is Cops N' Robbers because you're in teams and have more chance of winning.

05.jpg  Cat and Mouse Virus (B)

Infected with the Cops N' Robbers virus by another player in a Cops and Robbers event.

:tagonline: :tagmulti: :tagviral:

This trophy is viral and obtained by hitting an opposing player's car who has it. It is widely spread now so you shouldn't have many problems getting this. If you are struggling then use the boosting thread if you need help getting this: LINK

06.jpg  Crossing the Line (B)

Win a Ranked Multiplayer Cops N' Robbers event

:tagonline: :tagmulti:

Just play a lot on this event and you will get better at it. Otherwise just boost with a boosting partner. A good team is your best bet. You could get this in your first 3 attempts of playing. If you are going for the 119 wins you'll learn the tracks and know which parts to go to and steal the money or stop robbers from having the money. If your on the robbers team it helps to have a fast car to get past the cops. Avoid ramming the cops if you have money because your likely to lose the money before you get to the destination.

07.jpg  First of Many (B)

Win a Ranked Multiplayer event against 7 human players

:tagonline: :tagmulti:

This can be fairly difficult, just make sure there are 8 people in the lobby when going into the race but if someone disconnects during the race and you still win, it counts. Try this in Cops N' Robbers because it's the easiest one to achieve first place in.

08.jpg  Learner's Permit (B)

Acquire your first car in Career Mode

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

You will get this shortly after starting the game.

09.jpg  Zack Trap (B)

Complete the Zack sequence in 'The Trap' mission.

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

You will have to face Zack and beat him to get this, his car can be easily taken down in a few hits so this shouldn't be a problem.

10.jpg  Bowling with Hector (B)

Complete the Hector sequence in the mission 'Kingpin'

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

You will have to face Hector and defeat him to carry on the story. Just make sure that you have enough speed when going to hit his car, because if you go slow then hardly any damage will be dealt.

11.jpg  To Protect and Serve (B)

Complete the Carmen sequence in the mission 'Rematch'

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is a different mission where two guys are following the car that Carmen is in, stay close to Carmen until they come. Keep close and take down the two black cars but make sure Carmen's car doesn't take much damage.

12.jpg  Nickel and Dimes (B)

Complete the Nickel sequence in mission 'Payback'

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

Eventually you will get a call telling you to take down Nickel, just destroy his car and the trophy will pop. This is more harder than the previous ones as his car is faster and police are on you.

13.jpg  2 Birds, 1 Stone (B)

Complete the mission 'Double Trouble'

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is close to the end of the career, soon after Nickel has been taken down you will be asked to take down Rose then straight afterwards, G-Mac. Again not difficult, just don't mess up and try not to get caught by police.

14.jpg  Meet Zack (B)

Face off against Zack in 'Rush Hour'

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is one of the first trophies you will get, just beat Zack in a highway battle. This is easily done and the race is a straight down a highway, the only problems you'll have are with the traffic so you would need to manoeuvre around them then Zack won't interfere with you.

15.jpg  Meet Carmen (B)

Face off against Carmen in 'The Game'

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

Beat Carmen in a highway battle, this is easily done and the race is a straight down a highway. The only problems you'll have are with the traffic, manoeuvre around them then Carmen won't interfere with you.

16.jpg  Meet Hector (B)

Face off against Hector in 'Versus'

Again, just beat Hector in a highway battle. This is easily done and the race is a straight down a highway, the only problems you'll have are with the traffic so you need to manoeuvre around them then Hector won't interfere with you.

17.jpg  Meet Nickel (B)

Face off against Nickel in 'Road Rage'

Defeat Nickel in a highway battle. Just stay ahead of him and try not to crash. This is easily done and the race is a straight down a highway, the only problems you'll have are with the traffic so you need to manoeuvre around them then Nickel won't interfere with you.

18.jpg  Meet Rose (B)

Face off against Rose in 'Rollercoaster'

Final person you have to beat in a highway battle in the game, just get the distance ahead of her and win. No need to dominate any highway battles for all story characters. This is easily done and the race is a straight down a highway, the only problems you'll have are with the traffic so you need to manoeuvre around them then Rose won't interfere with you.

own.jpg  5 Finger Discount (B)

Complete all Hot Car Missions

These are the missions in the career where you have steal a car and take it to the destination. Don't try and be slow hoping the cops will think you're normal because they Don't. Go fast, brake or let go of the acceleration in turnings and you shouldn't have a problem getting the car with the minimal amount of damage made to it.

19.jpg  Apprentice Mechanic (B)

Customize a car in Career mode.

To do this you must have unlocked a parts shop for any tier car and then on the GPS, go there. Customize your car and the trophy should appear.

20.jpg  Freeze! Hold it right there! (B)

Take a Photo and upload it to NeedforSpeed.com

:tagonline:

Press :start: and go into photo mode take a picture but you need an EA Nation account for this.

21.jpg  Gold Coast to Ocean (B)

Dominate the Gold Coast to Ocean event

See North River Expressway

22.jpg  East Fasulo Bridge (B)

Dominate the East Fasulo Bridge event

See North River Expressway

23.jpg  Pine Creek & Douglas (B)

Dominate the Pine Creek & Douglas event

See North River Expressway

24.jpg  South Canyon Hwy (B)

Dominate the South Canyon Hwy event

See North River Expressway

25.jpg  East I-5 (B)

Dominate the East I-5 event

See North River Expressway

26.jpg  Bay Drive & Harbor (B)

Dominate the Bay Drive & Harbor event

See North River Expressway

27.jpg  Tri-City Run (B)

Dominate the Tri-City Run event

See North River Expressway

28.jpg  North River Expressway (B)

Dominate the North River Expressway event

For all the individual race trophies not only do you have to win but you have to dominate the races as well so if you mess up then it could be the end for you. Use one of the following cars for the best chance of success:

- Bugatti Veyron

- Pagini Zonda

Any of these two are brilliant for winning in but are pretty hard to control. The races range from easy to medium difficulty but you will need a good car. The hardest ones are the North River Expressway and Tri-City Run so try not to mess those up. To do dominate a race you have to win the race and also do it under a certain amount of time.

29.jpg  Window Shopper  (B)

Discovered all 3 Pro Shops in Career

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

You will unlock the last Pro Shops a while after you beat Rose for the first time.

30.jpg  Chase or be Chased (B)

Win all the Highway Battles in Career

This is one of the easier types of races you will encounter in the game and you just have to get past a certain distance or stay ahead until the timer runs out. If you have the Bugatti Veyron which I strongly recommend that you get, then you should win all of these no problem. They can be finished after the story is completed and do not have to be dominated.

31.jpg  Lose the Eye in the Sky (B)

Escape from a helicopter in a successfully completed pursuit. (Must be Career level 8 or greater)

This needs to be done after you have reached Wheelman level 8 and just cause havoc and get the police on you, eventually if the pursuit has gone on long enough the police will bring out a helicopter. If you keep riding, then the helicopter will eventually leave. They are difficult to out-manoeuvre. Having a fast car would help but no matter what car you are in, the helicopter is faster than you. The helicopter has a time limit for when it runs out of fuel, I am not sure what the time limit is but just wait it out. The cops aren't much of a hassle and even when the helicopter is on you they can't seem to find you easily.

32.jpg  Path of Destruction (B)

Disable 10 Police Cars in a Pursuit and successfully evade in Career

This will come easily when you are going back to do event. Some Cop Takeout events require more than 10 cars to be disabled so try it when going for those events.

33.jpg  Get out of the way! (B)

Avoid 5 Road Blocks in a Pursuit and successfully evade in Career

This will come easier later on in the game and also if you have a car for a long time then it will have more heat (The red bar on the left). If the Heat level is over 3 then Road Blocks will be set up more to try and stop you. If you're driving fast enough you should ram through them and take out a car in the process. Listen out when they say they are putting spikes on the road.

34.jpg  Most Wanted (G)

Successfully complete 50 Pursuits

With all Cop Takedowns, Cost to States and random pursuits during races, you shouldn't have a problem getting this one.

35.jpg  Aficionado (B)

Purchase or win any 5 cars for your garage.

You should get this when you receive your last pink slip car or before if you have purchased any other cars, just buy 5 Tier 4 cars if you want it early.

36.jpg  Keys to the City (B)

Unlock Port Crescent in Career

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

This is the final part of the map that you need to unlock and will come about 70% through the Career.

37.jpg  Branching Out (B)

Unlock Sunset Hills in Career

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

Just unlock this area of the map. It will come when going through the Career.

38.jpg  Retired (G)

Finish the Career Story

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

Just play the story and defeat the last person then this trophy will pop.

39.jpg  Completionist (G)

Dominate 100% of Career by beating all the track records.

Many people are getting confused with this because it's misleading by saying 'Dominate'. You do not need to dominate anything just win every single event and make the Overall Completion 100%, not Career Completion. All races, jobs, pursuits, cop takedowns etc. count towards the percentage so just win every single event and don't worry about dominating.

40.jpg  Hired Goons (B)

Takeout all the 'Goons' in Career

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

These are the missions after you "takeout" Rose and G-Mac, they are the last remaining Goons that you have to defeat so just takeout their cars.

41.jpg  Unstoppable Force (B)

Avoid 50 Road Blocks in Career

This should be gotten when playing naturally. Don't ram through the blocks but there should usually be a gap between the cars, either on the left or right. Go that way and you would have avoided. Do this 50 times for the trophy

42.jpg  Wasting Tax Dollars (B)

Get $100,000 Cost to State in a single pursuit and evade

More difficult than it sounds, try going for a Cost to State event which is about Wheelman 13 or 14, as these would have more cars chasing you. Don't take cars down individually its better if you look on your GPS and see where the closest pursuit breaker is (The yellow caution signs). Make sure a lot of cars are following you and with every pursuit breaker you could get 7 or 8 cars. Do this a few times and you will eventually get $100,000.

43.jpg  Spiked Punch (B)

Avoid a spike strip in a Pursuit and successfully evade in Career

When you have avoided a few road blocks in a single pursuit you will hear that they will be laying down spike strips. Listen carefully to where they say it is (Left or Right) and go the opposite way slowly to be safe. The idle cars won't move until you pass them so don't worry bout them.

44.jpg  Lose the Fuzz (B)

Successfully complete 5 Pursuits

Easy and one of the first trophies that you'll get. Pursuits last from 20 seconds to over 5 mins and get harder the more time spent in one, just turn a lot but don't go straight down a road they'll know where you're going.

45.jpg  Scrapheap (B)

Disable 100 Police vehicles.

Do some cop takedowns and you'll eventually get it, you can average 5-6 takedowns in a single pursuit if you have a good enough car.

46.jpg  Notorious (S)

Finish 119 Multiplayer Races in any position

:tagonline: :tagmulti: :tagglitched:

Normal Method - Just race. DNF doesn't count towards this so you actually need to race. This is a very time consuming trophy.

Quick method - Put on Cops N' Robbers and stay idle, that counts and there is no position. It counts matches not rounds though. This is the easier option and I am sure most people would prefer to do it that way.

As of late the servers have become pretty unreliable so you are more likely to get disconnected now, check back to the game regularly if you're doing the quick method.

47.jpg  Nothing Stock (B)

Discovered all 3 Tuning Shops in Career

:tagstory:

Story related and cannot be missed.

Unlocked as you go along, just play Career. On the GPS these are called Parts Shops.

48.jpg  Own The Road(B)

Dominate 25 Events in Career

Dominate 25 events. I would worry if you haven't done this before the Career is over. Some races you'll get by luck and skill so just play and get better. To dominate a race you have to win the race and also complete it under a certain time.

49.jpg  Love thy Tires (B)

Avoid 12 Spike Strips total in Career pursuits

This will come naturally, listen out for when the police are putting down the Spike Strips and you could get at least 3 in a single pursuit.

50.jpg  Among the Best (B)

Won 25 Ranked Multiplayer events

:tagonline: :tagmulti:

The easiest way to do this is in Cops N' Robbers because you're in teams and have more chance of winning. Just win 5 times and don't let your team do all the work or you could try and boost this so look in the boosting thread: LINK

If you are not purchasing the PSN pack with the Koeniggseg CCX then I strongly recommend that you purchase the Bugatti Veyron as soon as it becomes available because the Highway Battles become rather difficult. Also when you are doing Cost to State, Cop Take Out etc try not to outrun the cops too much as the AI is dumb and they quickly lose interest if you get too far in front. Try to get a few cops behind you before activating the Pursuit Breakers, stopping and waiting near Pursuit Breakers if needs be.

So just master races need to be dominated? :D That would be better/easier lol

is this true ?

because i have been flat out re-playing races.

i read a few things that said everything must be dominated except for jobs. !

Your guide isn't finished jet, but I already saw a few mistakes. First of all, as told by other people, you don't have to dominate all races. Just win all races, a few races have to be dominated for bronze throphies, but are announced in the trophy list. Second thing is that you said it is hard to get 25 wins. This is not true, because with Cops N' Robbers there's almost a 50/50 chance of winning, you don't have to be first, but your team has to win. So participate good en before you've done 119 races you most certain get this trophy. Trophies aren't hard but time consuming. The only two hard trophies are 'Cat and Mouse Virus' and 'Active Community Day'. Cat and Mouse Virus because as it seems nobody has the virus, Active Community Day' because a community day ain't held every week. With the next community day the virus will be released probably. If you have more questions for your guide you can ask me, because I only need the Cat and Mouse Virus.

I joined Dagger471, rongey420, Sprite85 & co for a spot of trophy boosting earlier and I was awarded the Active Community Member trophy and I'm sure today is not a race day.

Ok, just so I can be clear on this ... you only need to win in every event? All 100+, or do they all have to be dominated. The "Master" races unlock the bronze trophies on the list for dominating, I'm aware of that, but for the Completionist trophy do they just need to be all completed, in other words what I'm asking is if you goto your stats under career your GAME completion percentage should be at 100% for this trophy?

You have to win all the races in the game. There are about 180 races which have to be completed. They all don't have to be dominated. Maybe some events have to be dominated, I'm not sure, but my trophy popped up after doing the last race and not by doing extra races for domination. Your GAME completion has to be 100%, not your career completion.

does this include all the police events, like cop take down, cost to state etc, or is it just races like circuits n sprints etc???
