So, what is your favorite Epic song artist? These artists are usually making their songs for use in previews of movies or games. Please use the poll and answer in comments. Mention your favorite song from the artist, also!

Here are some hits from each one... You can search them on Youtube if you would like to hear them. I don't think a massive wall of videos would be well received :p

I voted Two Steps From Hell as they're the only ones I've heard of and their stuff is suitably epic. I have their discography and there are just so many tracks I haven't listened to yet but I'm sure they're awesome.

This is probably top of my list though, it's one of those tracks I recognise but I'll be damned if I could tell you where from!

I heard this one as a track for a TES IV: Oblivion mod compilation video, 'tis very relaxing and soothing.

I love tracks like these as well because to me, they are more imaginative and 'made up' and play a little story in only a few minutes (I guess which is why these are son great for trailers).

Heart of Courage is great but boy, is it overused. I preferred this one from the same album.

That's all I've got, but I'll be sure to check out some of the other names you suggested.

I have to agree that some songs can be over used... but they're also over used on my iPod :p

I like those songs, and a lot of songs from TSFH. If you have time, you can check out the others. That's the reason I made the thread, so other Epica enthusiasts can enjoy other artists :D

I like the Dawn of of discovery haole. This song is most loving song which make the brand x music to my favorite band.

And I had also composed some musics which I have posted on lyricsbay.

OMG! I must've missed that one... that is a good song!!

That's why I liked that I made this thread. I was hoping to see other epic songs to expand my collection :D

And you can call me Dave, by the way. Haole just means "white guy" in Hawaiian. Lol.

Celldweller has had songs in tons of soundtracks. Some of the psychopath battles in Dead Rising 2 featured songs by him as well.

I have always thought a trailer for Call of Duty or Battlefield would be amazing set to this song.

out of the list it stands between Two steps from hell( they are from Norway btw:D) and Audiomachine, but i think i shall vote Two steps from hell.

Haha. Yeah... they do Norway proud :p

Indeed... I came to the conclusion that TSFH was just a head above the rest for my vote... It's like they are geniuses!

BTW, nice sig! Love Hollywood Undead :D

They sound pretty good... but not really in this genre... It's not really about "soundtrack" artists... more of "epic" artists. I liked Breaking Benjamin's Blow Me Away in Halo 2 Soundtrack, but that doesn't make them an "Epic" artist. Epica is a pretty unique genre...

There is another thread that has "Game Soundtracks". Forgot where it was... Don't know if it's been lost through the pages.

I voted Two Steps From Hell. On another note, why wasn't Skanda Music listed???

My favorite songs by TSFH (and there are quite a few):

After the Fall

Invincible

To Glory

Pathogen

Ice Planet

It Always Comes

The Tower of Seduction

Hello World

Flying

...I could list them all but there's over 120 songs that are my favorites

I've actually never heard of Skanda Music before. That's why they're not on the list. I checked them out. They seem kind of new. All of the ones in the list are a bit of veterans in the field (around 6+ years).

But yes, TSFH is probably THE top in this industry... especially with the barrage of epicly awesome music they keep making.

Gotta give it to TSFH. They've made it to the top and proved they can stay there. Must say I rather enjoy some Globus too.

Also, I'd recommend Tutti Sound, a doujin circle who make epic orchestral arrangements for the Touhou series of games. They certainly know what their doing.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
