Vita Information - First Person and Going Green are not on the Vita version, otherwise the list is identical (except Derby King is a silver trophy instead of bronze) and this guide can be used for both. The two versions do not share a trophy list. You can also cross-play Online Home Run Derby between the two consoles and share your saves in the cloud, and switch back and forth between each for the rest of your single player modes.

Introduction:

There are two ways to go about getting the trophies for this game. The first is to just play. Nearly the entire list is just random one-off things that happen during actual games. The second way is to manipulate the games' rosters and settings to put you in a better position to earn the trophies. This guide will be based on doing just that. I'll tell you the fastest way to earn the trophy, but be aware that you won't get the full authentic feel of how great this simulation really is.

Before starting your quest for the platinum, you should edit two rosters, adjust gameplay settings and adjust sliders. This next section will talk about each.

Roster Setup

The first thing you should do is edit two teams. Give one team maximum attributes for it's 8 starting position players, starting pitcher and a closer. Make sure to give your pitchers maximum hitting stats too so pick your favorite team and inject them with steroids.

The second thing you should do is reduce the stats of another team. Basically, the opposite of the first step. You can make it even easier by editing their pitchers too, but it's optional. When you play exhibition games, the CPU will always use the same starting pitcher. So just edit that one starter, and the each of their team's relief pitchers. With pitchers, you can remove pitches and adjust their speed and control. I gave all of them the same three pitches at the same speed.

You can edit teams under the options menu, then selecting "Edit Players". Make sure you save the roster after you finish making the changes as it won't do it automatically. Create a new save slot. Every time you start the game, you will have to load that roster. This will make many of the trophies much easier

For anyone who wishes to just download a already edited roster from the Roster Vault, visit this post: LINK

Gameplay Settings

Another menu you need to be familiar with is the Gameplay options. This is found under Options>User Settings>Gameplay. This can also be adjusted while within games. This is where you will change hitting difficulty and the hitting interface. Press :r1:, and from here you can change the pitching difficulty as well as the pitching interface.

You can also change the Presentation mode from the Presentation menu, and switch between Fast Play and Broadcast. Broadcast presents the game as you would see it on Television and it's absolutely awesome. Fast Play will make the game go by quicker by skipping a lot of the extra presentations.

Slider Adjustments

The final and most important thing to know is that sliders can be used and adjusted to customize a gameplay experience. A lot of trophies are made easier with specific slider adjustments. You can change the sliders within options menu from the main menu or anytime during the game. Think of these as cheats. They greatly improve your abilities while decreasing the CPU's, which creates an unbalanced experience. I highly suggest only adjusting them for the purpose of getting the trophies as quickly as possible and not for normal playing. When the trophy descriptions call for certain types of slider adjustments, refer to these:

These Affect You

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits
  • Human Starter Stamina
  • Human Pitcher Control
  • Human Foul Frequency

These Affect the CPU

  • CPU Contact
  • CPU Power
  • CPU Timing
  • CPU Solid Hits
  • CPU Pitcher Control
  • CPU Pitcher Consistency
  • CPU Strike Frequency
  • CPU Pickoffs
  • CPU Foul Frequency

Global (Affect both Teams)

  • Fielding Errors
  • Throwing Errors
  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction
  • Baserunner Speed
  • Baserunner Steal Ability

There is also a slider adjustment for Pitch Speed. If you have slow reaction time to the pitches and are constantly swinging late, adjust this slider. This can be useful for those new to baseball games.

Walkthrough:

Step 1 - Home Run Derby

There are seven trophies that you can knock out fairly quickly. Just like previous The Show games, there are locations in 7 stadiums that you must hit. While you can get these during normal games, you can get them much quicker in the Home Run Derby game mode as you can just stand at the plate and swing away over and over. For targets that are located on the right side of the field, select a Left-Handed batter and then use a Right-Handed batter for targets on the left side. The trophies are:

  • (G) Bang the Drum
  • (B) So Close, Yet...
  • (S) Brewed Fresh
  • (B) Bronx Bomber
  • (B) Arr, Matey!
  • (S) Land Ho!
  • (S) Hail to the Chief

Step 2 - Road to the Show, Playoff Mode and Online

There are five miscellaneous trophies from various modes that you will need to get. It will require you to make use of the new Manual Catch method in Road to the Show (RTTS) to earn First Person. Another thing you'll need to do is play a single game within Postseason Mode for Fall Ball

Once that's out of the way, you'll need three trophies that require an online pass. Derby King is the only one that will require you to play online with other players. You need to win an online Home Run Derby, recycle a card in Diamond Dynasty and play one game of The Show Live (TSL).

  • (B) First Person (PS3 only)
  • (B) Fall Ball
  • (B) Derby King - (Online) Impossible due to server closure
  • (B) Going Green - (Online) (PS3 only) Impossible due to server closure
  • (B) Latest and Greatest - (Online) Impossible due to server closure

Step 3 - Exhibition

This is where you will spend the majority of your time. For all remaining trophies, consult the guide below for tips on each trophy. Use your edited rosters and take advantage of the sliders. You may need to tweak rosters and sliders a bit from one trophy to the next, but the guide will tell how you should approach each. Play each game in Citi Field (New York Mets home park) until you have earned Credit Extension.

Many of these can also be earned in Road to the Show. If it doesn't specifically say that it's not achievable in RTTS within the trophy description, you should be able to earn it. Skipping to your players next play doesn't count against you but all of them are able to be earned in Exhibition games and would be easier. For that reason and for the purpose of offering the quickest way to get the Platinum, I am recommending that you play Exhibition games.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/262.jpg(S) Escape Artist

As the pitcher, escape from a no out, bases loaded jam without any of the runners scoring (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

At the start of an inning, walk the bases loaded with intentional walks (:l1: + :circle:). If by chance the CPU hits it back to the mound, make sure your pitcher throws home and then the catcher to first as that will earn you Quick Thinking. The following sliders will assist you in retiring the next three batters without allowing a run to score. Reduce these to zero:

  • CPU Contact
  • CPU Power
  • CPU Timing
  • CPU Solid Hits
  • Baserunner Speed

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/99C.jpg(S) Payback Time

After getting hit by a pitch, hit a home run on that player's following at-bat (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This is one of the trickier trophies and requires a tiny bit of luck. It's not common for the CPU to hit your batters. The following slider adjustments reduced to zero will help with this trophy:

  • CPU Pitcher Control
  • CPU Pitcher Consistency

You should get a batter plunked about once a game. To further increase it, you can edit the pitchers control with each of his pitches in the edit roster menu. Once you have gotten hit by a pitch, you must hit a home run on that players very next at-bat. For this reason, it's critical that you have your entire roster completely maxed out for hitting stats, playing on Rookie hitting difficulty from the gameplay menu and the following sliders to max:

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits

If you get hit by a pitch in the late innings and don't think your player will get another at-bat before the end of the game, force the game into extra innings by intentionally walking in runs for the other team until the game is tied.

In addition, ch2423 has uploaded a roster specifically for this trophy. Here's his strategy with it.

I posted my roster for this trophy in the vault and named it HBP Trophy. User team is DET and cpu is HOU. I made all the HOU starters right handed with a slider, slurve and sweeping curve. All user batters are left handed. Adjust your sliders to decrease all CPU pitching attributes and manager hook.

When you start the game, take every pitch. Don't swing at anything. The CPU pitcher will start to get tired around the 3rd inning and since all the pitches break toward your left handed batters, you should start getting hit. I was averaging 4 hit batters a game. Only swing when your hit batters come up again. Let me know how this works for you guys.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/289.jpg(B) Bringing the Heat

Earn a save by throwing all fastballs (one and two-out saves don't qualify; only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This is simple. Get into a save situation and bring a closer into the game no later than the start of the 9th inning. Throw nothing but fastballs. You will need to be winning by no more than 3 runs to start the 9th inning. If you are up by a lot of runs, you can bring in a pitcher to start the 7th inning and only throw fastballs until the end of the game and you will get a save, and this trophy, no matter the score.

If playing against your weak hitting opponent using your edited roster, with the following slider adjustments adjusted to zero, you'll get this easy:

  • CPU Contact
  • CPU Power
  • CPU Timing
  • CPU Solid Hits

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/871.jpg(B) Dreaded Leadoff Walk

Draw a walk with the first hitter of an inning (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

When you are leading off an inning, don't swing at any pitches until you have two strikes and then try fouling off pitches by swinging a hair late. This might actually be easier if you change the hitting difficulty to All-Star or higher. The lower difficulty settings have the pitcher throwing a ton of strikes. There is one stat you can edit on an opposing pitcher that helps greatly with this trophy and that is BB/9. If you lower that all the way, along with reducing the following sliders, you will eventually get this:

  • CPU Pitcher Control
  • CPU Pitcher Consistency
  • CPU Strike Frequency

Increase this slider for a little extra help

  • Human Foul Frequency

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/584.jpg (S) Average Boost

Get 5 hits in a single game, with a single player (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

With your team of steroid users (max edited stats), this shouldn't be much of a problem. The only problem you'll encounter is having enough hits before the end of the 9th inning. In the event that you don't have five hits, you can drag that game out into extra innings until you have five hits, so play as the Away team. You need 4 home runs in a game for Number 17, so there's a good chance you'll get this while going for that one.

Adjust the following sliders to max:

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits
  • Baserunner Speed

Reduce the following sliders to zero:

  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/EB0.jpg(B) Disrespected

Hit a home run immediately after an intentional walk (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This sounds harder than it actually is. There are key game situations that the opposing pitcher will always intentionally walk you. The following criteria will get you an intentional walk:

  • 7th inning or later
  • Tied score or very close game
  • Runners at second and third (first base must be open)
  • One out

The game doesn't factor in anything else. There may be cases where you get this in an earlier inning or with no outs in the inning, but the four criteria listed above always gives me the Intentional Walk. Also, if you have your team with max speed and baserunning ability, you can do a double steal with runners on first and second to get them into the position. Sometimes they won't issue it on the first pitch, so if you have the requirements met, just take a pitch and they should do it on the second pitch.

For this, it's best to select the Away team. This way, if you are up by a run or two in the 9th inning, you can just allow the CPU to score to tie the game and try again in the 10th inning. Keep the score tied and drag out the game in extra innings as long as you can. It took me until the 16th inning to get it, after going 21 innings, and failing, the previous attempt.

Since you don't get to choose which player will be at-bat after your intentional walk, it's crucial that you have your entire roster edited to max hitting stats by editing their attributes and when you're attempting to hit that home run you must ensure that all your sliders are at max and on a fairly easy hitting difficulty. Increase the following:

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits
  • CPU Pitcher Control
  • CPU Pitcher Consistency
  • CPU Strike Frequency

Increase the following only when you're at-bat, and lower them when you're in the field:

  • Baserunner Speed
  • Baserunner Steal Ability
  • Fielding Errors
  • Throwing Errors

Decrease the following when you're at-bat, increase them when you're in the field:

  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/BA6.jpg(B) 2-Out Rally

Score 3 or more runs after the first two batters of an inning made outs (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Just allow the first to batters of an inning to make an out. Striking out would be the safest way. Then go on to score 3 runs. Obviously, adjust your sliders to your advantage when you're batting:

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits
  • Baserunner Speed

Lower the Following:

  • Fielding Errors
  • Throwing Errors
  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/5EC.jpg(B) Quick Thinking

Pull off a successful 1-2-3 double play (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

You will need to load the bases. Easiest way is to just intentionally walk everyone (:l1: + :circle:) three times to start an inning, then throw pitches low in the zone to help induce a ground ball. You need it to come back to the pitcher and he'll have to throw home, and then have the catcher throw to first to complete the double play.

Make sure that you having "Throwing Decision" set to "Off" in the gameplay settings so the CPU doesn't make the throwing decisions. It's crucial to have a pitcher at the mound that has been edited to have the following attributes max in the Edit Player menus:

  • Arm Strength
  • Arm Accuracy
  • Reaction
  • Fileding Ability

Then you'll want the following sliders maxed:

  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction
  • CPU Timing (you don't want to strike people out)

And the following sliders at their minimum:

  • Fielding Errors
  • Throwing Errors
  • Baserunner Speed

The most important thing is to have the opposing teams hitting attributes completely lowered. Now just keep the bases loaded and if the batter puts the ball in play that doesn't go to your pitcher, avoid recording an out.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/6B6.jpg(B) Small Ball

With a runner on second and/or third with no outs, hit a ground out to the right side of the field that advances the runner(s) (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

You just simply need to hit the ball on the ground to the first or second baseman and record an out while allowing a runner on second to move over to third and/or have a runner at third come in to score.

You can influence a ground ball by hitting :r2: + or influence a ball to the right side by hitting :r2: + :rsright:. You can do either one of these when you are at-bat right before a pitcher enters their pitching motion. Also, use :circle: to contact swing.

Tie the score after being down by 4 runs in a game (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

With your edited rosters and all sliders in your favor, just simply start the first inning by allowing the opponent to score 4 runs. That requires 7 consecutive intentional walks. Once they have jumped out to a 4-0 lead, simply come back and tie the game. This trophy will immediately pop when the score is tied.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/CC4.jpg(B)(H) Sitting Dead Red

Hit a home run after having successfully guessed fastball (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

To guess a pitch when at-bat, hit :r2: and while holding it down, hit the face button icon that represents that pitchers fastball. In most cases it's :cross:. Just hit a home run after successfully guessing the pitch. You do not need to guess location; in fact, I recommend against it with the new guess pitch rules this year.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/0BE.jpg(G) Didn't Even Break a Sweat

Have your starting pitcher throw a complete game with 58 or fewer pitches thrown (only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This is one of the greatest pitching feats in MLB history, and it would be nearly impossible to match in real life. Fortunately, we have the ability to edit the game to achieve desired results. They key to this trophy is to not strike out anyone, or walk anybody, but instead, have the CPU put the ball in play. You need to average less than 6.5 pitches per inning. Make sure you're playing against a team that you have completely edited all their attributes to the minimum.

To do this, we are going to do some outside the box tweaking. First, edit your CPU team to have maximum Plate Vision in edit a player. Then, go and edit your starting pitcher you are planning on using. Now edit his Pitching Attributes and lower the following:

  • H/9
  • K/9

Also lower his pitch speeds. Not necessarily all the way, but we are trying to induce contact with the opposing teams bat. Next, Increase the following sliders:

  • CPU Contact
  • CPU Timing
  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction
  • Human Starter Stamina
  • Baserunner Steal Frequency
  • Baserunner Steal Ability

And lower the following:

  • Fielding Errors
  • Throwing Errors
  • Baserunner Speed

This should be enough for you to get the 27 outs you need in under 59 pitches, but there's one last thing you can do. For your opposing team, edit their roster and increase their speed attribute to 50% and increase BR Aggressiveness to max. This way, if you allow a hit you can wipe them out on a steal attempt.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL6fJp9le-E]MLB 13 The Show ~ Didn't Even Break a Sweat & Payback Time ~ Trophy Guide - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/CC9.jpg(S) Worm Killer

As the pitcher, induce 15 or more ground outs in a single game (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

You can edit your pitcher to have stats as outlined in Didn't Even Break a Sweat to make this easier, but it's not completely necessary. Just try to get the CPU to hit the ball on the ground. If they hit a pop fly, drop it to continue the inning. You can also allow the game to go into extra innings until you get this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/72D.jpg(B) Strike 'Em Out, Throw 'Em Out

Turn a double play by striking out the batter and throwing out the runner stealing (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This will require you to play on anything except beginner pitching difficulty level. To get this the quickest way possible, edit your CPU's roster attributes and increase BR Aggressiveness to 99, lower BR ability to 0 and increase Speed to 60. When in the game, adjust the Baserunner Steal Frequency slider to max. You will also want to have your catcher have max arm strength, Arm Accuracy, Reaction and Fielding Ability.

Start the game as the home team so the CPU bats first. Since you can't fast forward or skip gameplay, this will allow you to attempt the trophy in the first inning and if you don't get it, just hit quit > restart.

Start the inning by intentionally walking the lead-off hitter. The chances are extremely great that the runner on first will attempt a stolen base during the next batter, or the following. You just need to hope he does it on a two strike pitch that the batter swings and misses on. Throw fastballs to reduce the time it takes for the ball to reach the catcher.

Also, decrease the CPU's hitting sliders as such:

  • CPU Contact
  • CPU Power
  • CPU Timing
  • CPU Foul Frequency
  • CPU Solid Hits

Immikeulate mentions the following. PS3 method does not work on the Vita. For some reason the Vita version combines BR ability and BR aggressiveness so you need them both at 99. Secondly 60 speed is to low for them to steal, it seems the speed needs to be at least 80. I noticed at 80 they got aggressive on the base paths.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/85C.jpg(S) Piling On

In a single game, score 20 or more runs (not avievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

The easiest way is to use your maximum edited team and combine that with all hitting sliders tuned to the maximum. Put the following to max:

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits
  • Baserunner Speed

Reduce the following to zero:

  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction
  • Fielding Errors
  • Throwing Errors

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/154.jpg(G) Number 17

In a single game, hit 4 or more home runs with the same player (not achievable in Home Run Derby; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This one is a little hard to do in a standard 9 inning game. For this, you should be the Away team. If you can drag out extra innings by having a tied score in the 9th, and then allowing the CPU to equal any scoring you do in the extra frames, you can play as many innings as it takes to hit 4 home runs. Once you get to the extra innings, just make quick outs with anyone that has zero home runs. Once you get a player or two with three home runs, just keep making outs until their turn to the plate comes up.

Having an entire team with maximum attributes is important and play on rookie difficulty. This will give your 9 players a chance to hit the 4 homers. It should be obvious, but the sliders you want maxed are:

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/49C.jpg(G) Winning Combo

Throw a combined no-hitter with 2 or more pitchers (not achievable in RTTS; only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

This seems to be a standard type of trophy every year. The only difference this time is that at some point in the game you must replace your starting pitcher with a reliever, so make sure you use your edited starting pitcher as well as an edited reliever. And naturally, you should be playing against a team that you edited for weak attributes. Adjust the following sliders to the max

  • Human Starter Stamina
  • Human Pitcher Control
  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction

And then adjust the following to the minimum

  • CPU Contact
  • CPU Power
  • CPU Timing
  • CPU Solid Hits
  • Fielding Errors
  • Throwing Errors
  • Baserunner Speed

Another tip you can use that will help is to intentionally walk the lead-off man and allow him to attempt a stolen base and throw him out. You can get 6-7 outs this way across the game, giving the CPU less opportunities to break up your no-hitter. See Strike 'Em Out, Throw 'Em Out for more information about that.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/2DA.jpg(G) Credit Extension

In Citi Field (NYM), have a player hit for the cycle (only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Setup a game at Citi Field, preferably as the Away team, and have one player hit for the cycle. A cycle is achieved when a player has hit a Home Run, Triple, Double and a Single in the same game. If you don't have this by the 9th inning, allow the game to go into extra innings until you have this. The hardest one to get is the triple so you'll need to make sure your baserunners are all fast while the outfielders are slow. Make sure to play as your steroid edited roster with appropriate sliders. Maximize the following sliders:

  • Human Contact
  • Human Power
  • Human Timing
  • Human Sold Hits
  • Baserunner Speed

Then reduce the following sliders to zero:

  • Fielder Run Speed
  • Fielder Reaction

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/E13.jpg(G) Bang the Drum

In Turner Field (ATL), hit a home run to center field that hits the bongo drum (on the fly).

This, as well as all "hit the target" trophies, are best achieved playing in the home run derby (offline). The drum is in left center field, behind the row of stands. Ideally, you'll want a right handed hitter that can drive it into this power ally. See Hail to the Chief for a video that shows it's location.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/AC5.jpg(B) So Close, Yet...

In Oriole Park (BAL), hit the scoreboard in right field (on the fly, in fair territory).

This, as well as all "hit the target" trophies, are best achieved playing in the home run derby (offline). The scoreboard is easy to spot. Starting from the right field foul pole, it will stretch out towards right-center. The scoreboard is in the field of play. You'll probably want to use a left-handed hitter for this one and pull the ball. See Hail to the Chief for a video that shows it's location.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/4CB.jpg(S) Brewed Fresh

In Miller Park (MIL), hit a home run in the stands to the right of center field hitter's eye (on the fly).

This, as well as all "hit the target" trophies, are best achieved playing in the home run derby (offline). Just to the right of center field is a small section of bleachers that you need to hit. Grab a left-handed power hitter and have at it. See Hail to the Chief for a video that shows it's location.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/BDA.jpg(B) Bronx Bomber

In Yankee Stadium (NYY), hit a home run into the second deck of the right field stands (excludes classic stadiums).

This, as well as all "hit the target" trophies, are best achieved playing in the home run derby (offline). This is one of easier target trophies. Just keep pulling the ball with a left-handed batter and you'll get this as the second deck is a large target. See Hail to the Chief for a video that shows it's location.

In PNC Park (PIT), hit a home run that hits the PIRATES hedge in center field (on the fly).

This, as well as all "hit the target" trophies, are best achieved playing in the home run derby (offline). Just past the center field fence are some hedges that spell out the name Pirates. Land a ball into this for the trophy. See Hail to the Chief for a video that shows it's location.

In Safeco Field (SEA), hit a home run into the bullpens in left-center that lands on dirt.

This, as well as all "hit the target" trophies, are best achieved playing in the home run derby (offline). This was the one that drove me nuts the most. The bullpen is just over the outfield fence, and it's really easy to see the dirt. The problem was I kept hitting it well over, even with one of the weakest right-handed bats in baseball. But like the rest, just keep playing and you'll get it.

In Nationals Park (WAS), hit a home run off the right field pole.

This, as well as all "hit the target" trophies, are best achieved playing in the home run derby (offline). Grab a left-handed slugger and keep pulling the ball down the right field line. Once you hit the pole, the trophy will pop. The following video shows all the locations of the home run derby related trophies.

Complete a The Show Live game (only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

No longer possible due to server closure.

This is a new mode that allows you to play game matchups that mirror actual MLB games with matching rosters and lineups. You can also play all previous games from the current season and play near future games that are available. Select The Show Live from the Game Modes menu and select one of the games from the list on the left. You only need to finish the game, win or lose, to earn the trophy.

In Road to the Show, catch a fly ball using the new Manual Catch feature.

This trophy is not on the Vita

Manual Catch is a new way to catch a the ball. It requires you to press :l2: to make the catch. You must turn on manual catch as this is not the default fielding controllers. To access it from the RTTS menu, go under Options > User Settings > Mode Specific. From here you can turn on RTTS Manual Catch

If you have no interest in actually playing this mode fully, just quickly create a player and select an outfield position. Turn off all baserunning opportunities and set RTTS Game Watch to Classic to make it quicker. These are set in the Mode Specific menu where you turned on Manual Catch. When you have a fielding chance, assuming it's not a grounder, you will have to position your player under the ball. Follow the arrows on screen to guide you towards the spot you will need to be to match the catch with :l2:.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/2F2.jpg(B) Fall Ball

Complete a Postseason Mode game (only earned if playing an uninterrupted 9-inning game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Select the Postseason game mode from the main menu. Once you are in the home screen, hit schedule, and select a game on the calendar and then "View Today's Games." From here, just select the game you want to play and complete it without switching sides or fast forwarding. You don't have to complete postseason mode, just play one game. Win or lose, this trophy is yours.

Win an Online Home Run Derby contest.

No longer possible due to server closure.

Home Run Derby is listed under Mini Modes on the main menu. Go into Online Home Derby (not offline). You can choose to play against random opponents or friends. You'll be required to win the contest to get this trophy. There will be up to 3 rounds (less if there isn't a full lobby). The scores from the first two rounds are added together with the top two participants going to the final round, both of whom will start back at zero home runs.

You can boost this by playing with friends and let each other win. If you wish to boost this and need to find someone with whom you can boost this, check out this boosting thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1849/700.jpg(B) First Steps

Advance to Beginner Hitting Rank 2 (not achievable in Practice or Training modes; only earned if playing an uninterrupted game against the CPU, without switching sides or fast forwarding).

Beginner mode is a new hitting difficulty that allows you to level up to rank 6. This helps introduce new players to hitting and allows them to get used to the game. You can change your hitting difficulty in the controller team select screen by moving :rs: left or right. Just select beginner. You can also change it while in a game at anytime by pausing, and then going to gameplay options and changing hitting difficulty to beginner.

Once selected, you will rank up by simply hitting the ball. Rank 1 will be nothing but fastballs down the middle of the plate. It shouldn't take you more than an inning or two to get this trophy.

Use the Card Recycler in Diamond Dynasty.

No longer possible due to server closure.

This trophy is not on the Vita

When you first start Diamond Dynasty for the first time, you will have 3 quick steps you must go through to set it up. Once all that's done, go to Card Management from the DD menu. You will be presented with the cards you own. Hitting :l1: and :r1: will scroll the pages left and right. I recommend going to your bronze cards, select your worst graded card and "Send To Card Recycler" then select one more. Once you have at least two cards selected use your :ls: to select the recycler on the bottom portion of the screen. Select this and choose "Recycle Cards".

I have uploaded my final roster version from when I received the Platinum trophy. Anyone can download it from the roster vault. From the main menu, scroll to the right to see the Community menu and from there select Vaults and select Roster Vault > Browse Rosters.

Title: PS3T - Trophy Boosting (It's a maximized Cubs team and a minimized Brewers team)

Type: Fantasy

Owner: Wozamil

Created: 03/05/13

You can select a column and hit :square: to do an ascending sort, and hit :square: again to sort descending. Using the info above, you shouldn't have problem finding it. Just remember to create a new save and everytime you restart the game you'll need to reload it.

Note - This roster may possibly need to be tweaked a little for specific trophies. To do so, make sure you have it loaded and go to the edit player menu. If you want to save the changes, you'll have to save it manually, either overwriting the downloaded file, or creating a new save.

So with all the descriptions talking about "No Fast Forwarding", do those still apply to RTTS?

For instance, for "Bringing the Heat", if I'm a closer and the game auto fast-forwards until I come in the game, does that negate the trophy?

You should be able to earn this in RTTS. First, it doesn't specifically state not achievable in RTTS, and second, a developer said the following after being asked about getting them in RTTS

"Many of them you can as long as they make sense. Like not requiring multiple players (i.e. one's not under your control) to do "something" to fulfill trophy requirements."

Since that doesn't require any multiple players, you should be able to. If you want to confirm it, I can add that to the guide. Plus, I do know that Sitting Dead Red can be earned in RTTS and that has the same qualifier.

I'm impressed by how quickly you were able to post a quality guide for this. I still have yet to pick my copy of The Show 13 up but intend on doing so in a couple of hours. Great job Wozamil

Thanks. I got it on Friday and had it mostly done a couple days ago. I jut needed to wait until the servers went live to get the ones that required an online pass.

Do you have a roster saved for us to get all the trophies with?

I uploaded my last version of my trophy boosting roster. It's a fantasy roster called "PS3T - Trophy Boosting"

I added it at the end of the guide, with a link to it in the roadmap.
