** Platinum No Longer Possible **

Please be advised that due to the online server shutdown, you can no longer platinum this game. You will be unable to get these 3 trophies:

New Works

Major Leaguer

Online Legend

Overview

-Estimated trophy difficulty: 8/10

-Offline: 27 (15(B)6 (S)5 (G) )

-Online: 3 (Servers were shut down)

-Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 75+ hours to get the offline trophies

-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: N/A

-Number of missable trophies: 0

-Glitched trophies: None

-Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheats

-Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes

Step 1: Stat Trophies

There are 5 stat trophies. Altogether you are going to need to get: 1000 hits, 500 strike outs, 1500 RBI, 300 home runs, and 100 losses. These trophies will take the longest to get.

Hits are when you hit the ball and you get on base. Strike outs are when you are the pitcher and you throw the ball, then the batter misses the ball 3 times. RBI stands for "runs batted in," which means you hit the ball and someone else scores - that is a RBI. A home run is when you hit the ball into the stands past the outfield, which is an automatic run. A loss is when the other team scores more runs then you.

Step 2: Single Game Trophies

There are 5 single game trophies. You should go for a no-hitter so you also get the shutout trophy. If you use a good team like the Yankees, it shouldn't be hard if you play 3 inning games. Then for the next game, get a walk-off home run. A walk-off homerun will get you 2 trophies. A walk-off is hard, but if you use 2 controllers it's super easy. Next, go for a grand slam. If you are having trouble, you can just use 2 controllers.

Step 3: RttS Mode Trophies

There are 15 RttS mode trophies. To start, most of these trophies will be hard. I recommend you play a year or two until most of your stats are above 90. The only problem is that some trophies require you to play continuous games, i.e. 15 games won in a row and a 50 game hit streak. Save before every game. That way if you don't get a hit or don't win a game, you can just quit the game and replay it.

Step 4: Franchise Trophies

There are 2 franchise mode trophies. One of the trophies is for winning a game in manager mode. If you don't win you can just start up another game and try again. The other trophy is for getting a 10 game win streak. You have to play every game and win each one. Play as the Yankees and it shouldn't be too hard, as they are the best team.

A grand slam is when you hit a home run when there are people on first, second, and third base. Find someone you are good with and who can easily hit home runs. I recommend someone like A-Rod on the Yankees.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/002.jpgWalk off winhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngHave a walkoff hit or walk to win a game.

See "Walk off in style"

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/006.jpgRttS Power Playshttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngHit 2 HR in a single RttS game on All-Star or higher difficulty.

Keep increasing your power until it's around 95. Then this shouldn't be a problem.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/007.jpgRttS In Controlhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngStrike out 10 batters in a single RttS game on All-Star or higher difficulty.

Fastballs are the easiest for the CPU to hit, so stay away from them. Curve balls and change ups are good. Aim for the corner of the plate, and eventually you will get 10 strike outs. You may need your pitching stats about 90.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/008.jpgMake the Callhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngGet called up to the MLB team.

You have a better chance of getting called up if you actually play the games. So when you get a chance to play, you should play. No matter how long it takes you, when ever you get called up this trophy will unlock.

When going for all the other trophies, you should get this no problem. No matter what mode you're in the hit will count.

This should come naturally playing through the game. If it doesn't see "It takes time (HR)".

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/025.jpgIt takes time (RBI)http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngGet 1500 RBI in any combination of modes.

This should come naturally playing through the game. If it doesn't see "It takes time (HR)".

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/026.jpgIt takes time (HR)http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngHit 300 Homeruns in any combination of modes.

This might not come naturally while getting all the other trophies. If it doesn't, max out any team's starting line up hitting to 99. Then face the Royals. Most of the hits will be home runs.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/028.jpgManagerialhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngWin a Manager Mode game. Can be completed in Manager Mode, Season and Franchise.

Before the game you have a option to go into manager mode. Go into it and just simulate to the end of the game. If you don't win just keep simulating manager mode until your team wins.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/029.jpgShut em' outhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngThrow a Shut Out vs. the CPU on All-Star or higher difficulty.

This is not that hard. You can let the other team get on base, but they just can't score a run. Play with the Yankees against the Royals and this should be very easy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/003.jpgWalk off in stylehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.pngHave a walkoff HR to win a game.

A walk off is when the game is tied in the bottom of the 9th with 0 outs. The first guy up to bat that inning has to hit a home run for this trophy. This is hard, but you can use 2 controllers and just get an inside the park home run, which is when you don't hit it out of the playing field, but are still able to run all bases and get home.

Simulating or Fast Forwarding will restart the streak.

You're going to have to play these games, so play as the Yankees. Set the game to 9 innings, then win 10 straight games. Shouldn't be too hard with the Yankees.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/011.jpgRttS Streaker (Batter)http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.pngHave a 20 game regular season hitting streak in Road to the Show. Simulating games in which your RttS player appears will restart the streak.

You have to play all 50 games. This is hard, but not impossible. Save after every game. If for some reason you don't get a hit quickly, reset the game, then load up your last saved game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/015.jpgRttS Streaker (Pitcher)http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngHave a 15 game regular season win streak in Road to the Show.

Simulating games in which your RttS player appears will restart the streak.

This is hard because it means your whole team has to be good. Play with the Yankees. It will take time to make the Pros, but it will make this trophy much easier.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/017.jpgRttS MVPhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngWin the MVP award in RttS (MLB only).

Play every game you appear in and keep up a good batting average. I had over .500 most of the season.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/018.jpgRttS The Cyclehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngHit for the Cycle with your RttS player.

A Cycle is when you hit a single, double, triple and home run with the same player, all in the same game. Not easy, but when you're a few seasons into this your stats should be good. If you get in a game where you have a home run and a triple in your first two at bats, you just have to hope that you get enough chances to also get a double and single. Four base hits in one game can be hard to get.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/019.jpgPersonal Perfectionhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngThrow a perfect game on All-Star or higher difficulty using your RTTS player.

This trophy is hard no matter what. To make it easier though, set the game to 3 innings. With that length it shouldn't be too hard to be perfect if you are a good pitcher. The only problem is that your team might not score any runs, forcing it to go into extra innings.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/022.jpgOnline Legendhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.pngWin an online League (must play 60% or more games).

No longer obtainable - the servers have been shut down.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/000.jpg100% Clearhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_platinum.pngThis is the platinum trophy and is unlocked automatically when all the trophies have been unlocked.

This platinum is no longer possible unless you already have the three online trophies.

Secret Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/009.jpgStop Thief!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngSteal 3 bases in a single RttS game.

Keep raising your player's speed stats. When he is a good 90 he should be able to steal with ease. Get on base 3 times, but stop on first because stealing second base is the easiest.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/100/027.jpgIt happens to everyonehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.pngLose 100 games.

This is across all games you play. You're most likely to get the most losses in RttS mode because no matter how well you do, it doesn't mean your team will do well.

This is 100% WRONG. You can not win these games playing less than 9 innings. I've tried it and can confirm that playing 3 inning games DOES NOT MAKE THE TROPHY POP.

The guide should be changed.

Hi, you mention that you can change the game length to 3 innings in Road To The Show to get Personal Perfection, but I find no way to change the game length to less than 9 innings. Am I wrong?

You can't change it manually. You automatically never pitch more than 3 innings in spring training games and the All-Star games. I believe i got this at an all star game.
