Introduction:

Minecraft is originally a PC game developed by Notch. If this is your first time playing Minecraft then I strongly suggest looking at the Minecraft wiki here before playing. This will give you an idea of the game mechanics and how they work. Also if you are unfamiliar with the crafting recipes, then you should definitely look at the crafting recipe list, here. Throughout your playthrough I recommend keeping the recipe list open so you can refer to it whenever you don't know how something is made. Alternatively the game has a built in recipe list for each item if you hover over the item. Anyway you choose to do it, I suggest learning some of the recipes so that way you can make things fast and efficient.

The Minecraft wiki page will be really useful during your playthrough. I will only be explaining how to get every trophy, there are some things that you will have to do but they will not be listed here, however I will provide you all the necessary links in order to complete this game as smoothly as possible.

If you need some alternate help, then see this thread by Superbuu3: LINK

Note: You cannot earn trophies in Creative mode, however you can earn trophies in the Tutorial but not on the Peaceful setting.

Instructions for splitscreen (Credit to The Great American Savior for this info):

All you have to do is not sign in to another account then the the 2nd player will be "YourPSNID(1)".

I've been playing with my brother and getting trophies as well :D.

Step-by-Step:

1. Start a world

2. Press start in game.

3. Sign into second account or if you want to earn trophies, do not sign in but just cancel out of it.

4. Enjoy!!

Walkthrough:

For this game there won't be a huge walkthrough layout because the trophies for this game can be obtained in practically any order. Instead please refer to each individual trophy for a detailed explanation on how each trophy is achieved.

For each trophy there will be two methods for earning the trophies:

1. Normal method:

This method is used for people who are playing Minecraft on a randomly generated seed. (the normal game)

2. The Tutorial method:

This if for players who do not want to play the regular game mode and want to earn the platinum as fast as possible.

Note: You can play the Tutorial and earn some trophies and switch to normal mode to finish the trophies and vice verse. I suggest looking at both ways and choosing the one that fits you best.

Under most trophies there will be a video I have made showing how to earn the trophies.

Quick Tips:

1. Play the Tutorial:

If you are new to Minecraft and if you have already played Minecraft a lot you should still play the Tutorial because this will get you familiar with the button layout and it will show you how the menu system works. Also, a majority of the trophies can be unlocked here. I will list a way to get the trophies in the Tutorial mode and a way to get the trophies if you are not playing the Tutorial mode.

2. Glitches and Exploits:

There are many different glitches and things in this game you can use to your advantage. If you do not wish to utilize these then that is fine. I am only posting these here because people may find them helpful during their trophy run.

  • 6 minute Platinum: The Platinum can be earned in 6 minutes you can see a video under the Platinum trophy in the trophy guide.
  • Exit without saving: If you save your game and then attempt a trophy and don't get it, simple exit without saving and then start your world back up and you will then be able to try again.
  • CO-OP: If you watch the 6 minute Minecraft Platinum you can see that every trophy can be earned by joining a persons world who already has the trophies.
  • Enderman farming: Find an Enderman and use the exit without saving exploit mentioned above to get a pearl from ever Enderman.
  • Easy Find: Copy your Seed which can be found when selecting a world. Main Menu => Play Game => (pick a world that's already made) => seed is at the top, then make a new world with that seed and use Creative mode to find where useful things are and then reload your original world.

Trophy Guide:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/3D3.jpg Awarded All Trophies (P)

All trophies have been awarded.

Earn every other trophy and this awesome (P) will be added to your collection! This can be done extremely quickly with the right set up but is only recommended for people who like to speedrun their Platinums).

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZtbpLc-69I]6 Minute Minecraft Platinum video[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/4AC.jpg Taking Inventory (B)

Open your inventory.

Press :triangle: at anytime (except in Create mode) and you will get this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/CA5.jpg Getting Wood (B)

Punch a tree until the block of wood pops out.

Go to any tree and hold :r2: until a block of wood breaks off. This can be earned at anytime except for in Create mode.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/128.jpg Benchmarking (B)

Craft a workbench with four blocks of wooden planks.

First you will need to obtain some wood from trees, then open your inventory with :square: and craft them into wooden planks. After you have 4 blocks of wood you can craft a workbench.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/2FB.jpg Time to Mine! (B)

Use planks and sticks to make a pickaxe.

For this you will need: A workbench, two sticks and 3 wood blocks then go to your workbench and underneath the "tools tab" and craft a wooden pickaxe.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/32C.jpg Hot Topic (B)

Construct a furnace out of eight cobblestone blocks.

You will need to find some gray coloured blocks called cobblestone (you will need 8), mine those with your pickaxe then craft a furnace which is found under the "structures" tab in your workbench.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/04E.jpg Acquire Hardware (S)

Smelt an iron ingot.

For this you will need: A furnace, coal and 1 iron ore. Iron ore looks like cobblestone with little brown spots and is found underground, you just need to mine to find it though luck is involved in finding some. After you have obtained the necessary materials put the coal in the bottom of the furnace and the ore in the top then wait until it’s done. You will get the trophy once you have taken the iron ingot out of the furnace.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/66F.jpg Time to Farm! (B)

Use planks and sticks to make a hoe.

You will need two sticks and two wooden planks, go to the "tools" tab in the workbench and find the hoe then construct it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/C6E.jpg Bake Bread (S)

Turn wheat into bread.

Normal Method: You will need to acquire 3 wheat which is done by farming seeds. See the wiki guide for the precise details, however I recommend doing this in the Tutorial.

Tutorial Method: Head to the farm which is to the left of the castle courtyard, you will see crops growing. Get close to them and harvest them with :r2: to make the wheat drop (you will need 3) then go to a workbench and make the bread under the food section.

Here is a video by me on how to do it:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VTEjitbV88]Bake Bread Trophy[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/5C2.jpg The Lie (S)

Bake a cake using wheat, sugar, milk and eggs!

Normal Method: I suggest doing this method in the Tutorial because it is very simple to do but if you do not want to then the ingredients you will need are 1 egg, 2 sugar, 3 wheat and 3 buckets of milk.

The Tutorial Method: This can be done fairly quickly in the Tutorial level. Grab the iron pickaxe in the chest in the enchanting room then get the iron blocks that are supposed to be used to make an iron golem. Now make 3 buckets, go down to the farm area and wait for the chickens to drop 2 eggs. Fill the buckets with milk from the cows and lastly you will need 2 sugar cane which can be found North West from the farm area.

Note: You need to actually make this, it can't be given to you.

If you are having trouble you can watch this video I made:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/1F6.jpg Getting an Upgrade (B)

Construct a better pickaxe.

You will need two sticks and three cobblestones for this trophy. When you have the materials go to your workbench and to the "Tools" tab and then craft the stone pickaxe.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/EDF.jpg Delicious Fish (S)

Catch and cook a fish!

Normal Method: You will need to make a fishing rod and then use that to catch a fish and then cook that fish. This can be done in less that 5 minutes using the tutorial method.

Tutorial Method: There is a chest in the farm area, inside the chest will be raw fish. take the raw fish and cook it in a furnace. You do not actually have catch the fish to earn this trophy.

I have made a quick video showing how to do this:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-lG6OI1Opw]Delicious Fish[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/A41.jpg On A Rail (G)

Travel by minecart to a point at least 500m in a single direction from where you started.

This trophy is one of the most time consuming trophies. For this trophy you will need a lot of resources, to be exact you will need: 3 redstone, 34 sticks, 18 gold bars and 186 iron bars. Use these to make a total of 18 powered rails and 496 normal rails via the "Minecart" tab in your inventory. Minecarts can also be made in this tab with 5 iron bars. After all those resources have been gathered, you will want to start building in one direction for a very long time. Alternate using regular rails and powered rails. I put a power rail down every 30 normal rails (that way it's easy to count how much you have done).

Also this trophy can be obtained by joining someone who already has a rail track built. Simply ride theirs and you will get the trophy.

Watch this video to see how to get infinite power rails:

Watch my video to see how I setup the track:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVfeFl1UZ_8]Minecraft PS3 "On A Rail" Trophy - YouTube[/ame]

See here for another way of doing this, courtesy of RCN886:

Concerning "On A Rail", to use up less powered rails (and possibly cut down on the mining for Gold) you could also start your track from very high, just below the clouds and just keep placing dirt/cobblestone/wood down until it is a steep cliff like so:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/3BD.jpg Time to Strike! (B)

Use planks and sticks to make a sword.

You will need 1 stick and 2 wooden planks for this trophy. When you have the materials go to your workbench and underneath the "Tools" tab and then craft the wooden sword.

See MOAR Tools for a video on how to get this.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/C1A.jpg Monster Hunter (B)

Attack and destroy a monster.

For this you will need to kill any monster, these spawn at night or underground. Use a sword and hit the monster repeatedly. Spiders, skeletons and zombies are the easiest monsters to find quickly.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/2E0.jpg Cow Tipper (B)

Harvest some leather.

For this you will need to kill a cow and pick up the leather that it drops. Use a sword or your fists, it doesn't really matter. Note: Sometimes they will not drop anything so keep trying until it drops.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/EE5.jpg When Pigs Fly (G)

Use a saddle to ride a pig, then have the pig get hurt from fall damage while riding it.

Normal Method: This trophy can be kind of tricky but I have found a very simple method of getting it.

To start off you will need a saddle, these are found only in underground dungeons. Underground dungeons are small square rooms that are made out of mossy cobblestone (green cobblestone) and sometimes in these rooms are 1 or 2 chests and a mob spawner. You will want to either destroy the mob spawner or put a torch on top of it to stop enemies from spawning. After you have done that, check the chests to see if there is a saddle in them. Note: These chests are randomly generated so it is not guaranteed you will find one. Once you have your saddle you will need to find a pig and trap it in a 2x2 square so it can not escape. Once you have done this you will want to dig underneath the pig, making a 'trap hole.' You will want to make this about 9 blocks deep. You need to dig under the pig but make sure there is a 1 block thickness between the trap and the pig. Essentially what you will be doing is destroying 3 blocks and by doing that forcing the pig to fall where you have just dug down.

Tutorial Method: A very easy location for a saddle in the tutorial world is X: 80, Y: 42, Z: 8 grab that saddle then use the method above to earn the trophy. See here for a tip by Terminator for an alt method of getting this trophy:

Here's a tip for you for the "When Pigs Fly" trophy :).

  1. Dig around until you find a dungeon then if the chest or chests inside don't contain a Saddle, keep digging until you find one (bring plenty of Torches as you'll need them).
  2. Once you have your Saddle, return to the surface and craft some Shovels, Iron Pick Axes and an normal Axe of some description.
  3. Go to where the farm is on your map (in my Tutorial world it was to the left of the Castle area near where you start the Tutorial) and start digging a deep trench behind the stables that's as long as the stables and about 4-5 blocks wide (you may even find some Coal and Iron Ore in the process).
  4. Once you've made it really deep say about 20-30 blocks, climb out then make your way to where the Pigs are (press :cross: to open the gate but make sure you close it again afterwards) then a hole that's 3 blocks wide and 2 deep.
  5. Now save your game in case any Pigs make a run for it and die before you can Saddle up one.
  6. Once the hole is dug, use your Axe to destroy the fence to open the way way for Pig.
  7. Save again if no Pigs made a run for it.
  8. Now wait for a Pig to get really close to edge then put the Saddle on it. Hopefully the Pig will dive straight off the edge of the cliff once you've hit it a couple of times, if it doesn't then reload your save and try again. Eventually the Pig will run right off the edge of the cliff and plummet to its death, popping the trophy in the process :).

I know these written instructions can be confusing to some so I have made a video so you can see exactly what I mean:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7BP0CYeFWo]Minecraft PS3 "When Pigs Fly" Trophy Guide - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/2EE.jpg Leader Of The Pack (S)

Befriend five wolves.

Normal Method: Wolves can be found frequently in the "snow" biome which, as the name suggests, is a biome filled with snow. To 'befriend' a wolf you must have bones, which are dropped by skeletons. Once you have some bones go to a wolf and press :l2: to feed it one. Note: You will lose your bone doing this and it may take several bones to make it become your friend. You know he is your friend when hearts pop up around him, he will also have a red collar after he is your friend. Do this to 4 more wolves and the trophy is yours.

Tutorial Method: Simply go to the area where the animals are and grab the 10 bones out of the chest. Go next to the wolf pen and save your game by pressing :start: then scrolling down to "Save". After this press :l2: to make the wolves become your pet. Lastly, quit the game without saving then reload your world and repeat until you have done 5.

Here is a video I made showing how this is done:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sevEwHcO0to]Minecraft PS3 "Leader Of The Pack" Trophy (very easy) - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/C6A.jpg MOAR Tools (B)

Construct one type of each tool (one pickaxe, one spade, one axe and one hoe).

This can easily be done in the tutorial stage. From the spawn gather 10 or so wood blocks from trees. Now craft a workbench by pressing the square button and place it with :l2:, then press :l2: again to access the bench and then make 12 or so sticks. Lastly, go to the "Tools" tab and craft one of each item. The items you need to create are: Pickaxe, spade, axe and hoe. By doing this you will also unlock the following trophies:

Time To Mine!

Time To Farm!

Time To Strike!

Here is a video I made showing how to get all 4 trophies:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TX5KqfKbUw0]Minecraft PS3 MOAR Tools & More trophies (easy) - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/CBB.jpg Dispense With This (S)

Construct a Dispenser.

Normal Method: For this you will need 7 cobblestone, 1 bow and 1 redstone. Redstone can be found underground, it is a cobblestone block that has red dots in it and glows when hit. The bow needs to be crafted with 3 sticks and 3 string. You can obtain string from killing spiders, though not every spider will drop it. After all of the materials have been obtained, craft the bow then craft your Dispenser.

Tutorial Method: You can get a bow at the top of the stairs and redstone in the cave where the mine cart track is. See the video I made:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/844.jpg Into The Nether (S)

Construct a Nether Portal.

Normal Method: For this you will need a minimum of 10 obsidian blocks and flint and steel. Flint and steel: To craft this you will need 1 iron ore and 1 flint, flint is found by breaking gravel blocks. Note: Not every gravel block will yield flint. Obsidian blocks: To get obsidian blocks you need to mine obsidian which can only be mined with a diamond pickaxe. Obsidian can rarely be found in the open above ground but is more commonly found underground, it is still difficult to find though. The last alternative way would be to get a bucket of lava (buckets need 3 iron ingots to craft) once you have the bucket of lava, drop water on lava and it will turn into obsidian (see the video below for a tutorial). Whichever method you choose, be careful as lava will kill you extremely quickly.

Note: You do not build a Nether portal in a crafting table.

After you have the materials find a spot where you want to build your Nether portal. Detailed Instructions to build the Nether Portal can be found here on the wiki page but essentially you will need to build 4 blocks for the base and top then 5 tall for the height (Picture).

To see a very easy way to build a Nether Portal without using a diamond pickaxe, watch a video I have made here:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PQphPlzyKI]Easy Nether Portal [/ame]

Tutorial Method: First you will need to manually find 1 iron ore and a flint (which is obtained from gravel blocks). Make a flint and steel then go to the coordinates: X 205 Y: 72 Z: 91 where you will find a diamond pickaxe.

Once you have all of this, go to the following location as mentioned by Gamer42:

From the start of the Tutorial World, go up the stairs, walk straight back and keep going (past Minecraft logo). Get to the back of the area where all the buildings are, and it's inside one of the buildings. See the picture below (I'm standing in front of the portal with map out to show coordinates):

http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff477/MvM42/Forums/8855853F-0971-456B-B910-FEF2DF1E999D.jpg

Now break off 1 obsidian block from the portal then replace it, after that just use the flint and steel on the Portal's base to activate the Portal.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/499.jpg Sniper Duel (S)

Kill a skeleton with an arrow from more than 50 meters.

Note: Cannot be done on Peaceful.

I strongly suggest doing this trophy in the Tutorial world because you will already have 20 arrows but do not use the enchanted bow you will find as it deals fire damage. View the glitches and exploit sections of the Roadmap for tips on this trophy. You will need to wait until night and kill a few spiders to get string. Use that string to make a bow. Find a skeleton and get really far away and shoot him until he dies. A lot of people have trouble with this trophy so I have made a video guide to explain everything:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIuyNBHJILY]Minecraft Ps3 "sniper duel" Trophy Guide - YouTube[/ame]

If you are still having problems then you see the helpful thread here: LINK

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/7AE.jpg DIAMONDS! (G)

Acquire diamonds with your iron tools.

Normal Method: This is luck based, Diamond looks like cobblestone with Turquoise (bluish/green) specks. CAUTION: You must mine diamonds with an iron pickaxe, if you don't then it will not yield diamond ore. This is luck based but you can increase your chances of finding diamonds if you mine 12 blocks above the very bottom of the world.

Tutorial Method: For this trophy you will want to get the iron pickaxe in the enchanting room at the spawn area. After that simply go to these coordinates and dig straight down:- X: 96, Y: 9, Z: -175

I have made a video tutorial:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wCe149C-mQ]Minecraft PS3 "Enchanter" Trophy (very easy) - YouTube[/ame]

Also note that if you do happen to pick up a diamond that's been mined with a diamond pickaxe, before you get this trophy, then do the following:

Drop the diamond from your inventory then pick it up again and the trophy should pop almost immediately afterwards.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/9F7.jpg Return to Sender (G)

Destroy a Ghast with a fireball.

Note: Cannot be done on Peaceful.

This is a very tricky trophy. When in the Nether there will be huge flying white monsters called "Ghasts". For this trophy you will need to have a sword. Occasionally the Ghast will shoot a fireball type thing at you and what you need to to is hit the fireball back at the Ghast and kill it. Note: Your timing is key here and it will not be easy to hit it just right, luckily it only takes 1 hit to kill the Ghast.

I have made a video showing you how you can earn this trophy:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bznVaewjCdU]Return To Sender[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/44C.jpg Into Fire (S)

Relieve a Blaze of its rod.

Note: Cannot be done on Peaceful.

For this trophy you need to kill a Blaze which can be found in "Nether strongholds" which are located in the Nether. These are rare structures and are not easy to find, my suggestion would be to go in a straight line in one direction until you find one. This may take some time but there are two good things about this method. 1) You can always find your way back and it is easy to get to. 2) It is much faster and safer. Alternatively you can walk around until you happen to stumble upon a stronghold. Once you find a stronghold, search through it until you find a flying orange monster, there will be a lot and they shoot fire balls at you so be careful. Kill one and it will drop a blaze rod, pick it up for the trophy.

Alternatively you can just pick up a rod that someone else has already found.

If you would like to see how this is done, you can watch my video:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFKMv7MrB0s]Minecraft Ps3 "Into Fire" Trophy - YouTube[/ame]

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/63A.jpg Local Brewery (S)

Brew a potion.

Save yourself the hour and do this trophy in the tutorial world. Walk up the stone stairs in front of where you spawn. There will be a wooden house on the right, inside the house will be a chest. Take the "nether warts" and the glass bottles. Equip the bottles in the "Hot Key" section of your inventory (the ten bottom slots) then get the bottles in your hand by pressing :l1:/:r1:. Now fill the bottles with water (:l2: while looking at the water) after that is done, press :l2: on one of the brewing stands and place 2 bottles of water in the bottom part and the nether warts in the top part. Soon after it is done making the potions, you will get the trophy. Here is a video I made showing how to get this trophy:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/E4A.jpg The End? (G)

Enter an End Portal.

Warning: There is a rare but nasty bug that can occur where the world glitches during the initial generation phase after starting a new game, thus causing the End Portal to be cut in half by a wall and be rendered useless. If this happens then you have no option but to start a new game from scratch :(. Apparently the developers know about this bug but have said it can't be fixed.

This is a complex trophy, to get this you will need to locate a stronghold which is very difficult to find without the proper tools. There is only 1 stronghold per world so to locate one you will need many "Eyes of Ender". "Eyes of Ender" are crafted by combining blaze powder and an Ender Pearl (Ender pearls are dropped rarely by Endermen and the blaze powder is crafted from a blaze rod).

Notes:

  • You will need 13 or more "Eyes of Ender" depending on whether you use the save and exit exploit or not (see the Roadmap for details).

  • Strongholds are completely random and there is no sure estimate of how many "Eyes of Ender" will be needed. It could take 10 "Eyes of Ender" to find it or it could take 50.

A trick to finding the stronghold easily would be to copy your Seed, then create a new creative mode world with the Same seed. Find the End Portal and mark down your coordinates.

Once you have obtained these prerequisites then you are ready to try and locate your stronghold. Go outside in the open and press the :l2: button to throw the Eye in the air. It will fly in the direction of the stronghold. Pay attention to which way the eye flies and head in that direction. Keep throwing the Eyes and following them until they start going into the ground (this is when you know you have found it). Once there you will still need 12 Eyes of Ender to put into the portal.

A super easy way to get this trophy would be to join a friend who already has the portal open, then simply jump into the portal they have (see my six minute platinum video for a video of this).

If you are playing in the tutorial world, the coordinates are X: 1, Y: 31, Z: 239. You can see a picture here (credit to Terminator for this):

http://i.imgur.com/PXSqgxd.png

Remember it is underground and make sure you go where the player icon is on the map (not where the crosshair is pointing).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/53B.jpg The End. (G)

Kill the Enderdragon.

Note: This can be done on the Peaceful difficulty setting but you still have to jump through exit portal for the trophy to pop.

The hardest part about this trophy is finding the End Portal and getting the Ender Eyes. This may be one of the last trophies you earn in the game, for this you will need to have found a stronghold. See The End? trophy for details. I recommend attempting this trophy once you have at least a full set of iron armor, diamond sword, enchanted bows and many dirt blocks.

Killing the Enderdragon is pretty easy if you play on Peaceful difficulty. You will need to destroy all of the crystals that heal the Enderdragon first, these are the crystal looking things that are on top of the huge obsidian towers. These can be hit with a sword and destroyed or can be destroyed with arrows.

After that you will need to use many many many arrows to bring the dragons health down. I recommend trying to hide behind the obsidian towers so he has a less chance of dealing damage to you.

Here is a video that I made showing an easy way to kill the Enderdragon: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMEr-N_6bqE]Minecraft PS3 Kiling Ender Dragon and Platinum Trophy - YouTube[/ame]

The extremely easy way to earn this trophy would be to just join a friend who already beaten the dragon then jump into their portal. See the end of the 6 minute Platinum video under Awarded All Trophies for an explanation.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2376/A5C.jpg Enchanter (S)

Construct an Enchantment Table.

Normal Method: This requires a lot of resources and if you do not have the necessary tools, you can save this trophy for later. To construct the table you will need 1 book, 2 diamonds (5 in total, explained further) and 4 obsidian blocks. After you have the materials construct your Enchantment Table.

Book: To make a book you need 3 paper and 1 leather. Paper is obtained by crafting 3 reeds or sugar canes (they are the same item) and reeds are found by water and they look like green bamboo. Leather is obtained from cows.

Obsidian blocks: To get obsidian blocks you need to mine obsidian which can only be mined with a diamond pickaxe (which is why you need 5 diamonds in total) Obsidian can rarely be found in the open above ground. Obsidian is more commonly found underground, but it is still difficult to find. The last alternative way would be to get a bucket of lava (buckets need 3 iron ores to craft) once you have the bucket of lava, drop the lava on any water and it will turn into obsidian. Whichever method you choose, be careful as lava will kill you extremely quickly.

Diamonds: This will be the worst part of the trophy because you will need 5 diamonds total. I can't help you with this part because they are randomly spread through each map. Level Y12 is the best level for mining diamonds! (Look on your map to see what level of blocks you are on).

Tutorial Method: You will need 4 obsidian, 2 diamonds and 1 book for this trophy and it can be earned in less than 10 minutes. I recommend doing this after all of the nether trophies have been earned because you will be breaking the Nether Portal.

First you will need an iron pickaxe, get this from the chest in the Enchanting house at the spawn area then go to the coordinates X: 96, Y: 9, Z: -175 and dig straight down to find 6 diamonds, now make a diamond pickaxe. After you have your pickaxe, go in the huge Minecraft sign and mine 4 of the obsidian blocks from the portal. Now you should have have all of the materials besides the book, break one of the book cases in the Enchanting room then build your Enchantment Table.

Great job! Looks good! I'm pretty familiar with Minecraft from other versions, and all of this seems very clear and efficient for newcomers!

I have one question though... I was playing earlier in split screen on the tutorial world, and kept getting the message "You did not earn a trophy." Do trophies not work in split-screen? It seems odd since most other split-screen games at least award trophies to the first player. I reloaded the game entirely and went into a new world in single player and was finally able to earn trophies... But Iw as hoping to do the End and stuff in split-screen.

Thanks man i really appreciate it, I've worked so hard on this guide trying to make it as user friendly as possible.

About your question; I was not aware of that> I will look into this and include it in the guide, Great find/tip!

After completing the initial tutorial is it possible to use that created world to obtain all trophies?

I mean instead of creating a world from scratch... the tutorial world has a lot of resources handed to you.

Ive considering that and I think there is a possibility that you could but the only way to know, is to find out if there is a stronghold in that map. Someone could test this, but as for me, I did not want to take the chance of there not being one. Also Whats the fun in having everything handed to you? :p

Yea, if the end game was present on that map is what I was referring to. I will give it a shot because I'm a slacker and I prefer things handed to me ;) Plus having a confirmation would be nice as well... theory will be tested.

Does anyone know if the Ender trophies and the 500m carting trophy can be obtained in Creative? I have no intention of doing it, but it would be incredibly easy to make a giant track with unlimited rails, and find a stronghold with unlimited Eyes for the folks who don't want to bother dealing with farming Endermem and Blazerods and iron / wood / redstone

Actually, you drop a bucket of water on the lava, not the other way round. Your method would result in cobblestone. Not a major issue, but it still bugged me. ;)

Other than that, great guide, even for people who never played it before.

you can get Leader Of The Pack in the tutorial too. get some bones, go to the farm and save in front of the wolves. then tame them, exit without saving, reload and tame them again. repeat until youve tamed 5 of them total and the trophy will pop.

I tried this and it does not work

This is a good guide.. I got half of the trophies in Tutorial but let me ask or say, that this could be a less time consuming platinum if a boosting thread is/was set-up to help save some people the hassle of doing some of the more time consuming trophies. This would be especially helpful when people have not played before. So someone could set up a TB thread and help ONLY with the possibly the "The End?" and "The End" trophies and even the "On the Rails" and such. And I know people want to do things themselves or do not want to help someone else mostly b/c they want to be first or whatever but why not help a fellow trophy hunter in spite of? Anyway, Great guide and I subbed to your channel.. Cool vids Arie.
