Just a reply to your response on the Dark Souls 2 news blog type thing.
As far as Ninja Gaiden goes. I played the second on 360. The main character to this day, feels like its the most fluid piece of game development in any hack & slash game. The problems lies with the rest of it. As you said its difficult because its cheap, but also because the rest of the game is so half-arsed in development.
My mate loves it and clocked over the 999 hours allocated game timer in the options. He even cleared the DLC which was harder than the main game. But personally I just couldn't bare it. The off-screen killers were just too much and in the end I just jacked it.
Like I said though. Darksiders, God of War, Batman Arkham series. None of these match up to the animation and fluid combat of Ninja Gaiden's main character. But they all beat it in terms of properly developed games.
