It's because for some reason, lesbians are generally more accepted within society than gays. No I don't really understand either. It's almost like people who see women kissing will happily carry on with their day, but when they see guys kissing, the same people say 'EW YOU GUYS ARE SO GROSS GET A ROOM' (to put it politely). I've had homophobia at school, ironically the same people dishing out the homophobic abuse have openly admitted to have watched lesbian porn. I really don't like making a big deal out of that kind of thing, but seriously what's up with that...

It's kind of telling when a feminist posts videos on YouTube denouncing people like Anita. See here:
It's a shame there aren't more feminists who will willing speak up against people like Anita without fear of being harassed.

To go off on a bit of a tangent here, they seem to ignore the original ideology of social justice: equal rights for all. To the SJWs it seems 'equal rights for everyone, but only if you agree to our ideology!'. Their treatment of minority dissenters is absolutely appalling, I've seen Twitter spats where women, homosexuals and racial minorities have been harassed simply for disagreeing with their ideology that 'gamers are vile and misogynistic'. As a gay dude and someone who doesn't agree with their ideology regarding gamers, it makes me so angry that these people, who are supposed to be championing my rights, will happily treat me like scum just because I disagree with them.

I genuinely feel bad for the SJWs who believe in equality for all, regardless of opinion. It really must hurt to have your movement hijacked by people who are looking to make a quick buck.

Exactly. I've never seen the SJWs rant about the oppression of women in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East. Instead they complain that Princess Peach is a victim of the 'Damsel in Distress trope' (to paraphrase Anita Sarkeesian) or that there are no proper female representation in shooters (Ilona in AW is too butch, Samus is too sexily dressed (Zero Suit) etc.) They seem to ignore the disgusting treatment of women in the Middle East so they can nitpick at gamers.

IMHO I don't think the SJWs are purely there to just make them more welcoming to females. I think they're there to completely change the face of the gaming industry and make dumbed down games primarily to cater for women, by women.

Kicking out what they refer to as 'the all-boys' club'. Maybe it's the chan culture talking, but given that the demographic of the average gamer has changed drastically over the past 10-15 years with more women taking to playing video games (I read somewhere women make up ~48% of gamers), so surely these SJWs are just plain wrong?

PS: sorry for the really late reply I've been really busy with my A-levels

It's essentially equality for all regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, income etc.
My problem is that developers use this an excuse to insert their own agenda into their games (look at the way BioWare made such a big deal about Dorian being gay), and the people who promote this agenda are fervently anti-gamer, who believe that games should be 'politically correct' and all that nonsense.

Is it just me, or do you judge games based on whether or not they've had much association with social justice? Like, I don't wanna buy the Tomb Raider reboot because they made Lara into a complete social justice icon at the expense of the actual fun gameplay that the older games had?
