Scrapdaddy
Trophy Guide & Roadmap Roadmap Overview: - Estimated trophy difficulty: 1/10 (Based off the site average found here). - Offine trophies: 26 (1(P), 7(G), 8(S), 10(B)) - Online trophies: 0 - Approximate amount of time to : 3 - 6 hours - Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (you can replay levels if needed) - Number of missable trophies: 0 - Glitched trophies: 0 - Do cheat codes disable trophies: N/A Introduction: Welcome to my Megamind: The Video Game guide. The game is a linear action game and is the exact definition of quick movie tie-in games. It is pretty simple, short and generally geared toward a younger audience with a few minor challenges on the boss fights. The majority of the trophies will be unlocked during the course of normal play and anything else can be completed with the level select feature. The best news is there are no collectibles to worry about! Step 1 - Play through the main levels of the game. If you play in CO-OP, only the player controlling Megamind gets the trophies. Save yourself the hassle and just play solo the first time as Megamind to unlock everything. There are 10 levels total and each one can easily be completed in less than 30 minutes if you just run through them. On level 1 you should attempt to complete it without dying. On levels 3, 6, 9 and 10 you need to beat the bosses without dying. None of these "do without dying" trophies are very difficult and can all be done via level select if you don't complete them the first time. I have tips for the bosses in the guide if you run into trouble. Everything else unlocks during normal play and should not prove too troublesome. Step 2 - Mop up anything you might have missed using the level select screen. It is the map that is found in your lair hideout. You don't have to play the mini-games at all. Conclusion: Overall the game is not too difficult. The average gamer should be able to complete the majority of the game within a single day of dedicated play. This makes it a perfect candidate for a weekend rental. That's it everyone, thanks for reading. For the trophy to unlock you just need to defeat the boss without dying. Here is the method I used: [spoiler=JK1] First since you do not regain life while playing, the point of no return is when you are making your way through the remnants of the destroyed building. If you don’t have close to full health, let these guys kill you before moving on to the boss. This will restart you with full life right before the boss fight. If you die during the boss fight the trophy will NOT unlock. At the start, just stand there and shoot the goons coming down the ramp. The boss will now spray the area with 5 shots so just avoid them by walking or jumping between 2 of them. He will now shoot at some crates that are above you. Just run around to avoid the falling crates. Finally, he will operate a wrecking ball and try to drop it on you. Let the wrecking ball lock onto you and then get out of the way before it drops. There is a slight shake to let you know when to move. Now the ball will reset, so quickly grab the dynamite and start walking to the blue circle on the ground in front of the boss. When you see the wrecking ball coming at you again, drop the dynamite and get out of the way. You will only be able to take a few steps each time. Once it resets, pick up the dynamite again and keep moving toward the boss. Repeat as needed. Note: It is possible to walk all the way to the front without dropping the dynamite if you want to try. Thanks for the tip Rawkkiddo. When you finally place the dynamite, run to the button behind you and press it to detonate the charge. Now more goons start coming down the ramp again so just repeat the entire process 2 more times and you will have him beat. Scrapdaddy
http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/632/13.jpgPsychotic Winhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png Defeat Psycho Delic without dying as Megamind Psycho Delic is the boss of level 6. For the trophy to unlock you just need to defeat the boss without dying. Here is the method I used: [spoiler=JK2] First the point of no return for this fight is when you use the switches to open the large clown mouth to proceed. Again, if you don’t have full health, go ahead and kill yourself so you have a better chance at fighting the boss without dying since you will gain a full life bar upon restarting the checkpoint. If you die during the boss fight the trophy will NOT unlock. For the boss fight, it is extremely simple. The boss will stay on the top level and you will be attacked by minions and steam on the bottom. There are five buttons on the bottom level that correspond to the steam vents on the top level. All you need to do is run around killing guys and avoiding steam and then press the button underneath the vent the boss is standing on. To make it even easier they put a big blue arrow on the button you need to press. Repeat 4 more times and he is finished. This whole fight took maybe a minute or 2. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/632/14.jpgFlash in the Panhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png Defeat Hot Flash without dying as Megamind Hot Flash is the boss of level 9. For the trophy to unlock you just need to defeat the boss without dying. Here is the method I used: [spoiler=JK3] Once again, the point of no return is where you are crossing a bridge and you can see trains moving in the background. Once off the bridge you will fight a small group of enemies. If you are low on health let these guys kill you so you can start the boss fight with full health. If you die during the boss fight the trophy will NOT unlock. For this boss you need to start by taking out all the goons. They come from the left and right so just stand in the back near the middle fire hydrant and shoot them from a distance. Hot Flash will then start shooting at you so just run back and forth to avoid her flames. You will get prompted to use the fire hydrant so run over to the one that is shooting water and rapidly press to increase the pressure and hit the boss. Repeat this process 2 more times and she’ll be knocked out. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/632/18.jpgCollectorhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png Collect 2000 B.I.N.K.E.Y. in any single level as Megamind See "Mega Collector". http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/632/21.jpgMega-Skillhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png Complete any story mission without dying as Megamind Simply complete any level of the game without dying or falling to your death. I suggest doing this in the first level since it is the simplest. There is a good chance you will get this to unlock without really trying for it but if you don't get it during the course of playing the game, you can always reload a level and try as many times as you need to. Eventually you will master a single level and get this knocked out. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/632/04.jpgDestruction Doomhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png Complete 'Demolition Site' Level as Megamind Story Related and cannot be missed. Simply complete level 10 which is the final boss battle and the trophy unlocks. See "Tightanic Battle" for tips on this boss fight. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/632/15.jpgTightanic Battlehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png Defeat Blue Tighten without dying as Megamind Blue Tighten is the final boss and you go right into this fight when you select level 10 "Blue Tighten Battle". For the trophy to unlock you just need to defeat the boss without dying. Here is the method I used: [spoiler=JK4] It is actually pretty easy. You will be in a robot suit and just need to move your cursor around and shoot any debris the boss throws at you. He will eventually grab a column and try to hit you with it. Just destroy the column out of his hands before he gets the chance. Repeat with 2 or 3 more columns and a portion of the roof will collapse and fall on his head causing damage. Now repeat the whole process 2 more times and he is finished and so is this game. Good job! http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/632/16.jpgMega-Herohttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png Complete the Game as Megamind Story Related and cannot be missed. You can get 1000 and 2000 unlocked in the very first level, “The Museum”. The 3000 can easily be collected in level 2, “Downtown”. Yeah this is a definite rental. Only way I'd suggest a buy is if you have a kid that LOVES the movie. It is pretty short with almost no replayability. It is not a bad game but there is nothing to do once you finish it. Short mindless fun.
SSJ4_Haruhi
Thanks for the guide. I don't usually buy children movie tie-ins but as this is superhero related, I will. ..... But when it is dirt cheap.
rawkkiddo
During the destruction derby boss fight you do not have to drop the tnt. When the crane stops over your head just take a step back, it saves a lot of time over the drop and pick up method and it never hits you

Scrapdaddy
During the destruction derby boss fight you do not have to drop the tnt. When the crane stops over your head just take a step back, it saves a lot of time over the drop and pick up method and it never hits you Ok, I'll add it in. I kept getting hit for some reason that's why I started dropping it. If it was in the back I only had to drop it twice and when it was close to the front I only had to drop it once so it wasnt that big of a deal for me. You can sorta control where it gets dropped by running to the front near the boss and moving back and forth up there while the crates are dropping. He will drop it wherever you were last standing. How fun is the game? I loved Ice Age - hated Up etc... any thoughts? Not to bad but really short. I did like it better than both the two games you mentioned though. Ice Age was fine but Up seemed painfully slow. Edited November 6, 2010 by Scrapdaddy
rawkkiddo
I would have to say the game was almost too easy. No collectables, and I did not die once during the whole game. I got my plat. in about 3 hours, but as far as movie games go it is not that bad. Just make sure you rent it

Thunder_At_Home
I don't know which is more pathetic: how easy the plat is, or the fact that I took the time to get it. Pretty much my feeling. I rented this and played it during the Pacquaio fight, took me 3 hours and that included having to do redo a boss fight, and returning to the first stage to get the no deaths trophy. Easy, very very easy.
