Introduction

Medal of Honor (2010) is a reboot of the franchise by Electronic Arts. The Singleplayer campaign is developed by Danger Close, whereas DICE, the studio behind the hugely successful Battlefield: Bad Company 2, lend their assistance for the Multiplayer portion. The theme of the game is set in Afgahanistan based on the US army operations during their time there. This gives the game a more realistic backdrop as opposed to its other competitors.

In the Singleplayer Campaign, you will be playing as both the Spec Ops and the US Army Rangers across a variety of locations waging war in the Suburbs, Towns, Hill Settlements, Snowy Mountains and so forth. The multiplayer allows you to play as both the Coaliton force and the OPFOR and is divided into 4 game modes: Combat Mission, Team Assault, Sector Control and Objective Raid. There is also a hardcore online option available for those interested in it.

Walkthrough

Potential Glitches: Personally, I have not had any problems with the trophies in my experience. However, there have been reports of trophies not unlocking correctly upon fulfilling requirements. As yet there are no glitched trophies that are 100% totally unattainable, so just be aware that certain trophies might only unlock after several attempts.

Step 1: Complete the Campaign on HARD difficulty

The campaign spans the length of 10 missions where you play either as the TIER1 Operators or the US Army Rangers. Hard difficulty simply makes you take more damage and slower health re-gen, but it is nothing compared to the likes of COD:World at War on Veteran or Killzone2's Elite difficulties. You can practically run up to most enemies and knife them then spray bullets to kill anyone nearby, but for purposes of the next step I advise you not to. Learn the maps, familiarize with objectives, where to go and who to shoot. Also do try to complete the secondary trophies for each mission. Completing this step will unlock "The Battle is Won" and "...But the War Rages On" difficulty based trophies in a single step.

Step 2: Complete TIER1 Challenge Mode

TIER1 Challenge Mode is basically a time trial challenge where your aim is to complete each mission under the specific target time. You need an online connection to play this mode. Enemies are more accurate and hit harder, there are no ammo resupplies, and most significantly there are NO CHECKPOINTS. You die, you gotta start over. Completing this challenge will unlock "Conspicious Gallantry". I have written a general strategy guide for this which you can find here:

Step 3: Complete Multiplayer Trophies

Most of the trophies will come as you play, and you need to play a minimum of 8 hours, 2 in each game type. The hardest trophy and a possible stumbling block towards achieving Platinum is Multiplayer: Fire Controller, where you need to have used each Offensive Support Action (OffSA) once.

The highest level OffSA requires a scorechain of 600, and is very hard to achieve. The game lobby utilizes a matchmaking system based on your calculated skill, so I advise you to work on this right from the start when you're matched against people of lower skill (though that doesn't necessarily mean they're newbies).

It is possible to boost this trophy according to my experience but it will require at the very least 4 hours of your time together with patient and cooperative members who are willing to listen to orders and not screw things up. Having a headset/using Instant Messengers is essential because each match can fit up to 24 players and the PSN Chatroom can only fit 16.

Step 4: Clean Up

You probably missed some of the secondary campaign trophies if you need this step, and if you do, don't fret. You can go for them again via mission select. Congrats on Platinum!

Obtain all campaign and online trophies

Congrats for unlocking all trophies!

Campaign Trophies

22.jpg  First Incision (B)

Singleplayer: Complete First In

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

32.jpg  Smooth Operator (S)

Singleplayer: In First In, Kill the Hostage Taker with a Head Shot

Near the end of the level, an objective “Clear Last Building” will appear on your screen and your team will be camped outside a door at this point and someone mentions “Go Soft”. This is the cue for an upcoming slow motion breach scene. As soon as you enter look straight ahead for a guy with a white headwrap who will reach for the hostage (in brown headwrap) and headshot him. If you fail you can immediately reload last checkpoint. Video thanks to RoosterTeeth

23.jpg  Welcome to the TOC (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Breaking Bagram

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

33.jpg  The Sledgehammer (B)

Singleplayer: in Breaking Bagram, destroy 2 vehicles with Single 2000 lb Laser Guided Bomb

After you have taken control of the Air Control Tower, you will be tasked with directing artillery strikes on the enemy. First you will be given strafing runs (GAU-8) and homing missiles (Hellfire) to get rid of a bunch of trucks.

Thereafter 3 tanks appear on the right side and you are given the 2000 lb Laser Guided Bomb (GBU-24) so equip this using :triangle:, hold :r1: at your desired location and fire away. You can use :rs: to control the bomb while in flight, try to aim at the tank in the middle. The bomb has a very large radius effect so you should net this with ease. If you miss this opportunity, two more vehicles appear on the left and then a few more again on the right which should provide ample opportunities for you. If you still fail, reload last checkpoint. Video thanks to RoosterTeeth

24.jpg  Develop the Situation (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Running with the Wolves...

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

34.jpg  Dropping Deuce (B)

Singleplayer: Jump 7.5 meters on the ATV

During the mission Running with Wolves, you will be using the ATV to move around. You will disembark twice and infiltrate two villages to advance the story. After clearing the second village and returning to your ATV, keep following Dusty’s tail and you should come across two jumps. As long as you have been holding the accelerator all along you should be able to clear both jumps and unlock this trophy.

25.jpg  Unexpected Guests(B)

Singleplayer: Complete Dorothy's a Bitch

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

35.jpg  Fear the Reaper (S)

Singleplayer: In Dorothy's a Bitch, destroy the entire AQ Camp with AC-130

During this mission, you will first come across a slope settlement, then one camp, and thereafter a series of smaller camps with people firing into the sky. This last position is the target and you are tasked with directing air support fire via the SOFLAM on this camp. Your objective is to eliminate everything here, including majority of human targets (I had one or two still surviving when the trophy unlocked). Here’s a video thanks to Rooster Teeth.

26.jpg  Full Battle Rattle (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Belly of the Beast

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

36.jpg  Manic Suppression (S)

Singleplayer: In Belly of the Beast, defeat DShK in under two minutes

This mission, you will be playing as the Rangers. At some point your team will need to mark a AAA nest (DShK) and you are tasked with providing cover fire. Focus your fire on the MG that is targeting your team and you can take out the gunner.

Follow up by eliminating any enemies ahead that are firing on your team but keep an eye on the MG as there will be a continuous stream of new enemies replacing fallen one. Your team mate needs to launch his red smoke signal into the nest before the 2 minute mark. There will be some chatter and finally the nest gets destroyed by incoming air-strikes and the trophy unlocks after that. Here’s a video thanks to Rooster Teeth.

27.jpg  Bad Guy Jamboree (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Gunfighters

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

37.jpg  It Takes A Village...Out (B)

Singleplayer: Destroy 30 buildings in Gunfighters Village

In this mission you are piloting a gunship and soon you will come across a village with three trucks. Dispose of them and any enemy soldiers using MG :r1:, use Hydra Rockets :r2: to destroy all the buildings in the area. The whole building must be blown up, all walls down. You can keep firing rockets in burst fires until you need to reload. Very easy to achieve as you will be circling the village for 2-3 rounds. If you don't get it the first time, DON'T restart from checkpoint. Complete the level then replay it again.

28.jpg  Friends From Afar (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Friends From Afar

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

38.jpg  Like a Surgeon (S)

Singleplayer: While long range sniping, hit one of every body part

This can be done on mission “Friends From Afar” throughout the level. Long Range Sniping only counts whenever you see a scene of your character pulling out the bi-pod to steady the gun. You have to shoot 6 different body parts: Head, Torso, both Arms, and both Legs (and maybe the Gut/Groin). There are tons of opportunities in this level. You can hold your breath by holding :l1: to steady your aim and change optical sight type with .

51.jpg  Have a Good One (B)

Singleplayer: Finish all of Deuce's missions

Story related. You’ll unlock this at the end of the mission “Friends from Afar”.

29.jpg  Cliffhanger... (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Compromised

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

39.jpg  Feeding the Pig (B)

Singleplayer: In Compromised, get 15 kills with M60

You get the M60 machine-gun from the injured Voodoo after receiving a buddy boost in the mission. Shortly after you’ll be descending on a village with lots of enemies for you to kill. If you don’t get it, reload the last checkpoint and try again, your previous kills still add to the total.

47.jpg  Right in the Grape... (B)

Singleplayer: Get 7 headshots in a row with any weapon except the long range sniper rifle

An easy way to get this early on is in the second mission "Breaking Bagram". The video below by NextGenTactics shows you where to find infinite spawns of enemies on the opposite side of a fence, and you can take your time with headshots.

Another alternative is in the next mission "Neptune's Net". You will come across a camp of 8-10 enemies with Mother and you have a silenced rifle equipped. Take out all the enemies with headshots. The camp is shown below in the video for "The Quiet Professional". Credits to rally808 for this idea.

30.jpg  S.E.R.E. (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Neptune's Net

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

40.jpg  The Quiet Professional (S)

Singleplayer: In Neptune's Net, eliminate 13 enemies without alerting anyone

From the start of the level move towards the objective and you’ll be able to knife two guys from the back. Keep moving and you come up to another two side by side. Get very close, headshot one and quickly knife the other. Move along and you get a message a patrol is headed your way, quickly move up to the ridge on the left and wait for them to pass before dropping down behind them and move on.

Soon you’ll rendezvous with Mother and then come upon an enemy camp. Press  to see the locations of all targets. Take out the guy on the bridge then another to the right of him. A lone enemy should be just below the bridge and then another slowly walking towards Mother (kill him before Mother does). From there eliminate the remaining targets one by one quickly and silently. Here’s a video tutorial by artibeus86.

50.jpg  Never Quit (B)

Singleplayer: Finish all of Rabbit's missions

Story related. Unlocks after completing the mission “Neptune’s Net”.

31.jpg  Eight Heroes Aboard (B)

Singleplayer: Complete Rescue the Rescuers

Story related and Unmissable. Unlocks at end of mission.

41.jpg  Timber! (S)

Singleplayer: In Rescue the Rescuers, Chop down 5 Trees With The Minigun

Very easy, you’re asked to mount the minigun early in the level so just mow down trees until the trophy pops.

49.jpg  Rangers Lead the way (B)

Singleplayer: Finish all of Dante's missions

Story related. Unlocks after completing the mission “Rescue the Rescuers”.

42.jpg  The Battle is Won... (B)

Singleplayer: Finish the game on Easy, Normal or Hard

Just complete the game on any difficulty level.

43.jpg  ...But the War Rages On (S)

Singleplayer: Finish the game on Hard

This difficulty is a piece of cake compared to Killzone2's Elite, COD:World at War’s Veteran or even MW2's Spec Ops, so it shouldn’t be a problem at all. Take cover, take your time with shots and you’ll breeze through easily.

Please note that completing the game on Easy then doing TIER1 Challenge will not unlock this trophy. You need to play the whole campaign on hard. If you do this on your first playthrough, you'll unlock "The Battle is Won..." as well.

44.jpg  Conspicuous Gallantry (G)

Singleplayer: Finish every level in the game on Tier 1 mode under par time

TIER1 is basically a challenge mode where you need to complete the campaign under a specific target time. You need an online connection to play this mode. It is unlocked when you have completed the campaign once on any difficulty. You take more damage, enemies are more faster and accurate, and there is no ammo replenishment from allies. I have written a specific guide tailored for this trophy, which can be found here:

Kill Trophies

45.jpg  The Scalpel (B)

Singleplayer: Achieve 20 total knife kills

The game's difficulty is so easy that you can run up to nearly any enemy and press :r3: to knife them. Kills add to the total even if you die.

46.jpg  Pistol Pete Showdown (B)

Singleplayer: Get a total of 30 pistol kills

Double tap :triangle: to equip pistol and try to aim for headshot as it normally takes 3-4 shots in the chest to down an enemy even on Easy. I got this not long into the second mission.

48.jpg  Crowd Control (B)

Singleplayer: Kill 5 enemies at once with a single hand grenade

This can be easily done on mission Running with Wolves. Here’s a video showing the location, thanks to NextGenTactics.

Multiplayer Trophies

02.jpg  Multiplayer: First Rotation (B)

Play online for 15 minutes

Simply play online for 15 minutes.

03.jpg  Multiplayer: Tour of Duty (B)

Play online for 2 hours

Simply play online for 2 hours.

05.jpg  Multiplayer: Boot Camp (B)

Play once as each class (min 2 min)

There are 3 classes in this game: Rifleman, Special Ops and Sniper. Play a total of 2 mins as each class once, you don't have to stay alive for 2 minutes (although I don't imagine that being very hard).

10.jpg  Multiplayer: Enlisted (B)

Reach level 2 in any class

See “Multiplayer: Tier 1” trophy below.

11.jpg  Multiplayer: Veteran (B)

Reach level 4 in any class

See “Multiplayer: Tier 1” trophy below.

12.jpg  Multiplayer: Triple Canopy (B)

Reach level 8 in one class

See “Multiplayer: Tier 1” trophy below.

20.jpg  Multiplayer: Tier 1 (S)

Reach top level in one class

There's nothing much I can say except keep playing as your favourite class. The top level is Level 15 which requires a total of 31,450 points for one class. Playing matches that suit your play style will definitely make this quicker. For example if you're an objective based person then Combat Mission, Sector Control and Objective Raid are your picks. If you're a good close quarters shooter and like to go crazy in a kill-fest, then Team Deathmatch is your friend. The maps are pretty small and there's a total of 24 players so it turns chaotic really quickly. You should always be aware of your surroundings, and use Defensive Support Actions which grant you guaranteed points instead of Offensive ones unless you're confident of the kills.

06.jpg  Multiplayer: Mission Training (B)

Play Combat Mission

See “Multiplayer: Mission Specialist” trophy below.

13.jpg  Multiplayer: Mission Specialist (B)

Play two hours of Combat Mission

Straightforward, just play two hours of Combat Mission multiplayer matches. The objective is to push your way through by clearing five objectives as the Coalition force, or defend them at all costs as the OPFOR. Always pay attention to your minimap to know where the enemies are coming from. To win, complete all five objectives as Coalition before time and reinforcements run out or, if you're defending as OPFOR, outlast the enemy by killing them.

07.jpg  Multiplayer: Assault Training (B)

Play Team Assault

See “Multiplayer: Assault Specialist” trophy below.

14.jpg  Multiplayer: Assault Specialist (B)

Play two hours of Team Assault

Straightforward, just play two hours of Team Assault multiplayer matches. These are Team Deathmatch type matches where the first team to reach a pre-set number of points wins.

08.jpg  Multiplayer: Secure Training (B)

Play Sector Control

See “Multiplayer: Secure Specialist” trophy below.

15.jpg  Multiplayer: Secure Specialist (B)

Play two hours of Sector Control

Straightforward, just play two hours of Sector Control multiplayer matches. The objective is to secure and hold the area around 3 flags in the map for points. The more friendly units there are in the area, the faster the securing process goes. First team to achieve the pre-set score wins.

09.jpg  Multiplayer: Raid Training (B)

Play Objective Raid

See “Multiplayer: Raid Specialist” trophy below.

16.jpg  Multiplayer: Raid Specialist (B)

Play two hours of Objective Raid

Straightforward, just play two hours of Objective Raid multiplayer matches. This is a bit similar to Team Assault but only with two objectives to attack/defend.

17.jpg  Multiplayer: Forward Spotter (B)

Deploy a missile strike support action (award at end of round)

See "Multiplayer: Fire Controller" trophy below. Use the Missile Attack on Level 3.

18.jpg  Multiplayer: Fire Controller (S)

Use each offensive support action once (awarded at end of round)

On the lower right of your screen, you will see a number like 0/50 above your ammo count. This is your scorechain. You build scorechains by getting Kills (10 pts), Kill Assists/Savior Kills/Revenge Kills/Headshots/Melee Kills(5 pts), Completing Objectives (15-50+ pts) and using Defensive Support Actions (30-100+ pts). Once you've fulfilled the quota, a support action will be made available to you. Press :left: to use an Offensive Support Action, :right: is for Defensive Support Action. Keep scoring more points to increase your scorechain to a higher level and gain more powerful support actions. If you die, your scorechain resets, but if you obtained a support action before you died and didn't use it, it will still be available when you respawn. You DON'T have to use all of them in one session, it can be done over multiple sessions.

If you want to gain the higher level support action quick, use Defensive Support Actions on the lower levels because they give you guaranteed points that count towards increasing your scorechain to the next level. This is a list of all available Offensive Support Actions, thanks to eldraco.

Level 1 - Mortar Strike (50 Points)

Level 2 - Rocket Attack (100 Points)

Level 3 - Missile Attack (175 Points)

Level 4 - Artillery Strike (250 Points)

Level 5 - Strafing Run (350 Points)

Level 6 - Air Strike (450 Points)

Level 7 - Cruise Missile (600 Points)

04.jpg  Multiplayer: Heavy Fire Support (B)

Fire 1000 bullets in a round (awarded at end of round)

This trophy should have been called Ammo Hog. Pick the PKM Machinegun and keep firing. On your minimap you will see icons of 3 Bullets with a Plus sign beneath. These are ammo crates and your ammo will be replenished when you are in that area. You can play Combat Mission and hang out at the back near one of these crates and shoot into the sky to achieve this trophy.

19.jpg  Multiplayer: Quartermaster (S)

Get 1000 support points

You obtain support points by using Offensive Support Actions to kill enemies, or using Defensive Support Actions to assist your team with temporary upgrades. Defensive support actions will always give out guaranteed points so it is best to keep using them instead of Offensive Support Action if you want this trophy fast. The points count total is cumulative and doesn't have to be in one session.

21.jpg  Multiplayer: High Achiever (G)

Be top 3 on the scoreboard ten times

You need to be the Overall Top 3 in a match 10 times to obtain this trophy. Multiplayer experiences vary from individual to individual, but in my experience any objective based match like Sector Control, Combat Mission and Objective Raid is easier to do this because you get points for completing objectives and it doesn't turn into a mindless kill-fest or K/D ratio centered game like Team Deathmatch. You can track your progress in your Stats screen under the Awards tab. On the lower right there is a medal that is awarded for achieving Overall Top 3 fifteen times, and a counter on the screen below showing your progress towards it so far.

AWESOME! :)

Just a question. You have playthrough listed as 1 (2 Recomended)... Don't you have to do 2?

One on hard and one on Tier 1? I went to Tier 1 right off and they were locked. But after completeing the mission and going back to Tier 1 it was unlocked and available to play.

So it should be 2 required. Unless i'm missing something, which is possible...

yewjhin you can use this info for your guide.

to get Multiplayer: Fire Controller and Multiplayer: Forward Spotter use defensive actions to get higher score chains. example: Level 1 Scorechain (50pts) select intel/uav (defensive), Level 2 Scorechain (100pts) select match ammo (defensive), Level 3 Scorechain (175pts) select flak vest (defensive), Level 4 Scorechain (250pts) select fmj ammo (defensive), Level 5 Scorechain (350pts) select strafing run (offensive), Level 6 Scorechain (450pts) select air strike (offensive), Level 7 Scorechain (600pts) select cruise missile (offensive). i've done it like that and got the trophy for finally using air strike and cruise missile. for Multiplayer: Quartermaster (is accumilative) use defensive ones to guarantee points and doesn't need to be in one round.

scorechain list:

level/pts/offensive/defensive/defensive bonus points

1/50/mortar strike/intel(uav)/30

2/100/rocket attack/match ammo/40

3/175/guided missile/flak vest/40

4/250/artillery/fmj ammo/50

5/350/strafing run/jammer/50

6/450/air strike/armor-piercing rounds/60

7/600/cruise missile/kevlar vest/100

(and after is x2 xp and is active until you die)

defensive actions are active until you or the player who activated it dies.

also It Takes A Village...Out can be done in 2 or more playthroughs (i can confirm).

Can't somebody confirm this guys tip for prove that it works. I made it to 455 and got sniped like many of my deaths in by sniper. People might get this natural while playing one day but for now it's still tough.

Wow thanks for the info. I can never get above Level 3 Scorechain cause I suck I guess :S . If someone could verify this I'll credit both people. Thanks!

Btw I need some confirmation, do you get to choose between both OffSA and DefSA when you reach each level or you're just randomly given one of the two? I swear I wasn't given a choice when playing Combat MIssion

i understand this but u still have to use every offensive action once so I would assume people gonna do the offensive moves cuz I know I would if I get to the 500-600 point range so I wouldnt have to do that again especially with all them snipers around

to get Multiplayer: Fire Controller and Multiplayer: Forward Spotter use defensive actions to get higher score chains. example: Level 1 Scorechain (50pts) select intel/uav (defensive), Level 2 Scorechain (100pts) select match ammo (defensive), Level 3 Scorechain (175pts) select flak vest (defensive), Level 4 Scorechain (250pts) select fmj ammo (defensive), Level 5 Scorechain (350pts) select strafing run (offensive), Level 6 Scorechain (450pts) select air strike (offensive), Level 7 Scorechain (600pts) select cruise missile (offensive). i've done it like that and got the trophy for finally using air strike and cruise missile. for Multiplayer: Quartermaster (is accumilative) use defensive ones to guarantee points and doesn't need to be in one round.

scorechain list:

level/pts/offensive/defensive/defensive bonus points

1/50/mortar strike/intel(uav)/30

2/100/rocket attack/match ammo/40

3/175/guided missile/flak vest/40

4/250/artillery/fmj ammo/50

5/350/strafing run/jammer/50

6/450/air strike/armor-piercing rounds/60

7/600/cruise missile/kevlar vest/100

(and after is x2 xp and is active until you die)

defensive actions are active until you or the player who activated it dies.

also It Takes A Village...Out can be done in 2 or more playthroughs (i can confirm).

Thanks, just got it. you dont have to get fire controller in the same session. Just get the streaks once whenever

I've used missle strike about ten times and have yet to receive the trophy...does it have to kill someone to unlock? Also, I think the top 3 is for the entire game and not just your team. I've been top 3 on my team about 20 times and haven't got the trophy yet.

Yea, it's overall, not just your team. You can check how many you've had under 'Stats and Awards' and look in the 'Awards'...it's the 'Top Performance Medal'.
