Introduction:

"MALICIOUS™ is an action game in which the player inhabits a Spirit Vessel and controls the Mantle of Cinders in order to defeat MALICIOUS, the bringer of disaster to the world.

Each Scene consists of a boss fight. After defeating the boss, the player gains new powers. You can clear the Scenes in any order, but the later Scenes will be more difficult. Think of your own strategy to get the abilities you need to clear each Scene, and lead the world to peace!"

- Malicious Game Manual Page 2, Game Overview

Malicious contains 3 missable trophies: (S) All S Rank Completed, (S) No Continue, and (G) No Repair. It is highly recommended to play and beat the game at least once to develop a feel for it. This will make your S Rank and No Repair playthrough feel much easier. If you are able to beat the game on Normal, then there is a good chance you are able to 100%.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Play and beat the game

Before starting Story Mode, go to Controls at the Title Screen and set the camera speed to 5. If you do not like inverted camera controls, set them to Reversed. This will save you some trouble. You can also customize the controls if they feel too awkward for you. This guide will use the default controls. Whenever :l1: is used in this guide, you must hold it until the combo ends.

Start a new game on Normal. This will prepare you for (S) All S Rank Completed and (G) No Repair. You can either focus on having fun (select Easy) or go for (B) No Guard, (B) Counter Master, (S) 100 Chain, and (S) 1 Kill Cleared if you want. If you happen to get stuck, see the S Rank and No Repair Walkthrough for strategies. Be aware that if you decide to play in an order of your own, you may give yourself an unexpected, unnecessary challenge and may not be able to earn (B) Counter Master (and possibly other trophies). I recommend you play the scenes in the following order:

  • Forsaken Library ((B) No Guard, (S) 1 Kill Cleared)
  • Forbidden Floor
  • Royal Battle Escort ((S) 100 Chain)
  • Battlefield of Yore
  • Triumphal Square
  • Edge of the Abyss ((B) Counter Master )

This is the best and easiest way to play and earn (B) Counter Master (see the trophy for more information).

Upon completion of this step, you will have unlocked the following trophies:

  • (B) Slayer
  • (B) Story Completed
  • (B) No Guard
  • (B) Counter Master
  • (S) 100 Chain
  • (S) 1 Kill Cleared

Step 2: S Rank and No Repair Playthrough

In this step, focus on achieving all S ranks and do NOT heal nor use a continue.

Upon completion of this step, you will have unlocked he following trophies:

  • (S) No Continue
  • (S) All S Rank Completed
  • (G) No Repair

Step 3: Cleanup

Gather up any trophies that you may have forgot about, skipped, and have left using Free Play Mode.

Upon completion of this step, you will have unlocked the following trophies:

  • (B) Ranking Debut
  • (B) 10,000 Kills

You've put down a power holder.

Story-related, unlocks after defeating your first boss.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/02.jpgStory Completed (B)

You've completed the story mode.

Story-related, unlocks after defeating the final boss.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/03.jpgNo Guard (B)

You've cleared a scene without any guard.

Select scene Forsaken Library. Forget the :circle: button even exists and beat the boss.

Note: You have infinite continues doing this in Free Play Mode.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/04.jpgCounter Master (B)

You've succeeded in all of the counter actions.

During a fight, you may be prompted to do one of these. A counter attack can only be performed by pressing both :triangle::circle: when prompted while having a certain form of your mantle active, when a boss has a significant amount of health, is in a certain part of the area, a certain distance away from you, and can only be done once for a specific attack once per fight.

Each boss has one attack which can be countered with the exception of the flying knight having two and the final boss having four, making a total of 10. All counters take part of a boss's health down (final boss is exempt from this damage). It is worth your while to counter every chance you get. Your counters count between Story Mode and Free Play Mode.

Forsaken Library

[spoiler=01]Required: Fist (Available from the start)

This boss can only be countered when you are on the bottom level and during the 2nd phase of the fight. When it starts to climb to the highest level, quickly head to the center and wait for the prompt.

Triumphal Square

[spoiler=02]Required: Sword (Must have cleared Forbidden Floor)

This can easily be done when you are damaging the boss as most of the time you will be prompted. You must be on the ground.

Royal Battle Escort

[spoiler=03]Required: Lance (Must have cleared Forsaken Library)

This guy has two counters and can only be done during the first phase of the fight when its cannon part of the shield is not destroyed. You must destroy the shield until only the cannon remains. You will then be prompted to counter when it uses the gatling gun. After doing the first counter, you will shortly be prompted for the second so do not put that controller down!

Battlefield of Yore

[spoiler=04]Required: Wing, Lance (Must have cleared Royal Battle Escort and Forsaken Library)

This one is simple. You just need to be in front of its head, float (hold :cross:), and wait.

Note: If you do not have the Wing, you will still get the counter prompt if you have Lance but it will fail.

Forbidden Floor

[spoiler=05]Required: Lance (Must have cleared Forsaken Library)

This one is as random as it can get. You must be distanced from Ashlelei and be directly across from her with nothing in the way. The move to counter is her stretch sword grab which is more likely to be countered when behind or on the side of the stairs. Chances are you will get the prompt while making laps around the area and killing the red knights.

Edge of the Abyss

[spoiler=06]Required: Lance (Must have cleared Forsaken Library)

There are a total of four counters that need to be done here and the good news is, you only need to be in one spot and wait for each one. Fly to one of the higher blue platforms and wait for the prompts. The moves to counter are: punch (right hand), swipe (left hand), swipe (right hand), and tentacle jab. You may have to jump if the prompt does not appear when it is about to do the attack.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/05.jpgRanking Debut (B)

You've made a debut in our ranking.

You need to unlock either Score Attack or Time Attack to do this. I do not know the exact requirements to unlock these, but both modes unlocked for me when I completed the S rank and No Repair playthrough.

Go into Free Play Mode and select any scene with :cross:. You will be able to use :select: to choose the mode you want to play. Select Score Attack, start the scene and wait for the time to run out. The trophy unlocks at the results screen.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/06.jpg10,000 Kills (B)

You've killed 10,000 enemies in total.

In Free Play Mode, select either Battlefield of Yore, Royal Battle Escort, or Triumphal Square as these have a high number of enemies. Now run around and Fist :square::square::square::l1::left: all the enemies you can find. Feel free to kill until the time run out as you will respawn with 5 minutes every time the clock runs out. Be sure to kill the boss to save your kills if you are not going to continue farming for whatever reason.

Note: Your kills are shared in both the Story Mode and Free Play Mode.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/07.jpg100 Chain (S)

You've achieved a chain of 100.

A chain is where you kill an enemy with an attack utilizing :l1: and the result ending with the enemy exploding, killing another nearby enemy which will also explode and kill another nearby enemy and will stop if there are no more enemies nearby. Your chain will end if you take too long to continue adding to it.

The best and easiest scene for this is Royal Battle Escort; head down to the level where the huge cannons are. Right here will have doors which open rather quickly and they are nearby other doors. The average spawn is 5, but the timing of each spawn seems to be luck based. Anyway, max out your aura points and aura release level 3. Use Sorcerer Bullets :l1::square: to dispose of the spawning knights and try to build your chain. See the following video by PsChbox if you have trouble.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/08.jpgNo Continue (S)

You've completed the story mode on Normal difficulty without using a continue.

Missable! See (G) No Repair for details.

This trophy unlocks at the end game results screen. You are given a small gold star on the right for not using a continue.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/09.jpgAll S Rank Completed (S)

You've completed all scenes of the story mode on Normal difficulty at S rank.

Missable! This is the hardest trophy in the game and unlocks at the end game results screen. For S rank, you must earn a grade combination of SSSS, SSSA, SSAA, or SSSB. It does not seem to matter which places you earn the A's or the B. Here are the following categories you are ranked in:

  • Clear Time
  • Enemies Killed
  • Max Chain
  • Parts Lost

See the S Rank and No Repair Walkthrough for more details.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/10.jpg1 Kill Cleared (S)

You've cleared this scene by defeating the power holder exclusively.

Select scene Forsaken Library as the enemies in that scene will not hurt you. Kill the boss with a safe mantle form like Fist. At the results screen, it should say no more than 1 kill (the boss). If the boss kills any of its minions it will not count against the trophy.

Tip: It is best to waste all of your aura at the start, and not instant guard. The reason for this is in case you kill an enemy, you will gain aura. If you die, you will gain 400 aura points for each respawn. You can go ahead and instant guard for aura to help end the fight quickly, but if you cannot keep track of your aura count then you may not know if you have killed an enemy accidentally or not from one of your attacks.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/795/11.jpgNo Repair (G)

You've completed the story mode on Normal difficulty without repairing the Spirit Vessel or using a continue.

Missable! This must be done in one playthrough on Normal. This is best gotten along with (S) All S Rank Completed as you will be guaranteed an automatic S rank in the Parts Lost requirement, so it saves you the unnecessary playthrough. You must not repair any of your limbs throughout the playthrough nor use a continue.

See the S Rank and No Repair Walkthrough for more details.

This trophy unlocks at the end game results screen.

S Rank and No Repair Walkthrough

This must be done in one playthrough on Normal. (G) No Repair is best gotten along with (S) All S Rank Completed, as you will be guaranteed an automatic S rank in the Parts Lost requirement so it saves you the unnecessary playthrough. You must not repair any of your limbs throughout the playthrough nor use a continue.

For S rank, you must earn a grade combination of SSSS, SSSA, SSAA, or SSSB. It does not seem to matter which places you earn the As or the B. Here are the following categories you are ranked in:

  • Clear Time
  • Enemies Killed
  • Max Chain
  • Parts Lost

Note: In case you have not noticed, you can only lose 3 limbs and your torso. Anymore and you are dead. They are lost in the following order:

  • Left Arm
  • Right Leg
  • Left Leg
  • Torso
  • Right Arm/Death

If you happen to repair a limb by accident, die, or fail to achieve S rank at the results screen, immediately :ps: out of the game and try again.

The following is by far the best and easiest order to complete this playthrough in as it puts the hardest bosses at their early easiest:

  • Forbidden Floor
  • Forsaken Library
  • Battlefield of Yore
  • Royal Battle Escort
  • Triumphal Square

Some S rank requirements seem to be slightly different in time and the amount of enemy kills required so I have provided my results for what has worked for me. You do not need to match or beat my ranks of course. Just try to get near them as you can risk an A or two (except for Forsaken Library, you may want to be a little quicker than me in that one).

YxjPDal.jpg

Forbidden Floor

My Ranks

  • Clear Time: 3:28.68 S
  • Enemies Killed: 148 S
  • Max Chain: 22 S
  • Parts Lost: 4 S

Strategy:

[spoiler=07]This will require some luck. Start off by going around the stairs and making laps while waiting for groups of red knights to spawn. When they appear, face them and :l1::square: a bit to spray some Sorcerer Bullets to create a chain. Do not over spray or else you will waste aura and create a lower chain. You are going to need max aura (9k minimum) and should be moving at all times. If you feel as if that is too high, feel free to gather as much as you think you will need.

Note: If this is not your S rank and No Repair playthrough, substitute Sorcerer Bullets :l1::square: with Lance :l1::square:.

When you have the aura, aura release level 3. The best time to aura release and to start attacking Ashlelei is when she does her pursuing floor spike attack. Break her barrier with Fist :l1::square::square::square::triangle:. Once it is down, Fist :l1::square::square::square::up:(hold). Guard often.

At 30% health, the 2nd phase of the fight will start. She will restore her barrier and be much faster, stronger, will evade you and have two new attacks. One is where she will create red pursuing energy sphere(s). It is best to guard against the spheres or have them hit a wall. You can use them to your advantage if you are swarmed by knights and need some breathing room as they will blast the knights away. The other is a floor spike that will surround her to keep you away. Restore aura if you have to, and repeat the strategy from the 1st phase with caution.

Forsaken Library

My Ranks

  • Clear Time: 6:37.31 B
  • Enemies Killed: 294 S
  • Max Chain: 26 S
  • Parts Lost: 3 S

Strategy:

[spoiler=08]An annoyance. This boss can easily break your guard if you guard its swipes. Start off by circling the boss and selecting Sorcerer Bullets. While moving, press :triangle:, target everything you can and :l1::triangle:. You will build up the chain quickly along with aura. Then aura release level 2 when you have enough aura (6k is good if you can get it quick), approach the boss with Fist :l1::square::square::square:. Repeat while dodging its swipes.

The 2nd phase begins when the boss's health is at 70%. It will climb up a level and start throwing book shelves at you. Either chase it down or refill aura. It is best to S rank all other fields so you can afford to lose some time as aura is scarce in this area. Repeat 1st phase strategy by beating it to death.

Battlefield of Yore

My Ranks

  • Clear Time: 6:06.05 A
  • Enemies Killed: 288 S
  • Max Chain: 32 S
  • Parts Lost: 2 S

Strategy:

[spoiler=09]This one is less annoying than the previous one and will require a little luck. Make laps around the field and ignite any barrels near the cannons. When approaching a group of knights, Fist :square::square::square::l1::left:. This combo disposes of enemies quickly and effectively. There is one problem though. It is very poor at keeping chains. Max out aura and when that is done, switch to Sorcerer Bullets :triangle: and quickly target everything you can and :l1::triangle:. You will build up a few chains until you have a high chain. This should be quick. When you have your chain, aura release level 3 and head towards the boss.

There are a total of 4 platforms on the boss that need to be destroyed (3 on bottom, 1 on top). Jump between the two lower platforms and Fist :l1::square::square::square::left:. This will destroy one quickly while weakening the other. Then move on to the other side and repeat. When the bottom 3 are gone, jump all the way up (do not take too long of a pause during the jumps or else you will be impaled by the boss's spears) and destroy the last platform.

The 2nd phase will begin and this is where your luck is needed. If you destroyed the platforms quick enough you will have near max aura. Use the 1st phase strategies on its head and watch for its moving mouth and guard when it moves. At random, this boss will launch its head at you while you attack it and send you flying all the way to the barrier of the stage. There is no clear warning of when it will use this attack so if you feel the need to hold guard, do so. This can be rather annoying and waste your time and aura.

Royal Battle Escort

My Ranks

  • Clear Time: 4:05.81 S
  • Enemies Killed: 191 S
  • Max Chain: 24 S
  • Parts Lost: 1 S

Strategy:

[spoiler=10]Easy one. At the start of the fight, turn around and drop to a lower level and max out aura from one of the knights' spawns. Try to build up a high chain (I was able to build up a chain of 41 using Lance :l1::square: as the doors opened). They spawn rather quickly here so you should be able to build your chain and max out your aura with enough time to spare. Return to the boss, aura release level 3 and Fist :l1::square::square::square::up:(hold).

Note: When it decides to fire its gatling gun at you, hold guard and while guarding, dodge once towards the boss, but hold guard after you release guard and repeat. If you did it quick enough, you will approach the boss without taking damage or breaking your guard. The boss stops firing when you are fairly close to it.

The 2nd phase of the fight starts when 70% of his health is left. It will move all over the place so you will have to take it down as quickly as you can using the same strategy from the 1st phase. It is recommended to meet the S rank requirements for all other fields so you have time to spare fighting the boss as he trolls you and moves out of your reach.

Triumphal Square

My Ranks

  • Clear Time: 3:56.93 S
  • Enemies Killed: 304 S
  • Max Chain: 32 S
  • Parts Lost: 3 S

Strategy:

[spoiler=11]This guy is a joke. Make laps around the area and with each group of enemies you approach, Fist :square::square::square::l1::left: to quickly dispose of them. Max out aura, aura release level 3, approach the boss and Fist :l1::square::square::square::left:. This boss attacks slow and half of the time it will probably even miss you.

There is not much of a difference during the 2nd phase so continue attacking until your aura is drained/boss is dead.

Edge of the Abyss

My Ranks

  • Clear Time: 5:07.22 S
  • Enemies Killed: 226 A
  • Max Chain: 26 S
  • Parts Lost: 4 S

Strategy:

[spoiler=12]Beating this boss without dying is easy when you are familiar with it. Getting a high chain is a minor problem.

Start off by Wing using :l3: and fly to one of the earthy platforms. Use Sorcerer Bullets :triangle: and target as many airborne enemies as you can and :l1::triangle:. Repeat until you have a high chain and between 1-2k aura points. During this time you must be cautious to any energy beams/sphere coming your way as they can easily shatter a limb or two. The boss will send a vast purple instant-kill energy sphere. This energy sphere is only sent when you are remaining in one spot, in front and from the middle to below the boss. It is also indicated by flashing lights around its head before it sends it. It may also spin at you, but this is rare and chances are you will not see this happen. If it does, guard (instant guard = 960 aura).

Tip: Instant guarding the instant kill energy sphere grants you 3,600 aura points which can greatly help end this fight early, but it is very risky.

Try not to lose more than one limb in this phase. You can lose two like I did and still pull this off but it will be a bit harder. When you have the chain, fly to each blue platform and :l1::l3: (flap with :cross: to help fly out of the platforms) at the center to light them up. This concludes the 1st phase.

When you regain control of your character, fly to the back of the boss and attack the center blob on its back with Fist :square::square::square::up:. Small blue enemies will spawn and swarm you while you do this along with yellow energy beams, a yellow energy sphere pursuing you, and a new blue energy sphere which will encase you and carry you in front of the boss, wasting your time. When you are swarmed, Fist :square::square::square::l1::left: and resume :square::square::square::up: when you are clear. As for the yellow energy beams and energy spheres, guard them. The blue sphere is easily avoided by dodging before it shatters. While you attack the first blob, you can see the beams come out of the boss's shoulders before they hit you. The energy sphere goes on you and waits to explode. You can instant guard the energy sphere for 800 aura but its risky and can easily shatter a limb. When the blob is destroyed the boss's weak point will open.

After the weak point is revealed, quickly aura release level 3, fly towards the weak point and attack it with Fist :l1::square:(mash). You will be swarmed with more blue enemies so dispose of them or else they will interrupt your barrage of fists and possibly shatter your limbs. The boss will also send at least 3 energy spheres at you during the process. Guard and they will push you away from the weak point (unless you instant guard, you will not be pushed then). If you happened to be pushed away, quickly jump and dodge towards the weak spot and continue the barrage.

Tip: If you move to the left or right corner of the weak point and do your barrage of fists there, the blue enemies will run into the barrage killing themselves while you remain free to beat it to a pulp. When the energy beams come, you can instant guard them or quickly evade to the other corner before it explodes and continue the barrage.

When the weak point closes up, destroy another blob and repeat the process until the boss is dead. The boss will return to firing energy beams, but the energy sphere will appear less often.

Tip: At this point when you destroy another blob, by the time you see the energy beams coming, chances are you will be hit before you guard it. This can make the fight annoying, but there is a chance to see it coming, or hear in this case. When the beams fire, they make a firing sound. This sound is a bit tricky to pick up so it may be best to mute the music. When you hear the sound, hold guard until it is clear and continue your attack.

Note: You can kill the boss in as little as two weak point openings if you have enough aura to last you during your barrages. You can still make the S rank by the third weak point opening though.

Nice guide. Seems weird for a game to have over 9 plat diff average if u can get all trophies in less than 20 hours.

Thanks. The game is really short and I believe it is seriously overrated in difficulty.

EDIT: Aside from a few minor grammatical errors that may be made later if picked up, this guide is now done.

Thanks for the nice guide! :)

I was able to finish all chapters with an S rank on 'normal' today. For the final boss, especially two of your information helped a lot:

> mute the sound (settings): Even during phase 1 it was really helpful, I was able to hear what the enemies were doing much better and was prepared for their attacks.

> 'Just guard' the instant kill energy sphere grants you 3,600 aura points: I've never tried before I read it in the roadmap. I've started chapter 6 with a high chain (on the ground, not on any of the platforms) and waited for the instant kill sphere. If I wasn't able to use 'Just Guard' timely, I've restarted the chapter. After a couple of tries the timing was perfect and I had enough Aura to defeat the boss during the 2nd time window he had opened its mouth.

I've decided not to do an 'S Rank and No Repair Playthrough' but to focus on them individually: The bosses (except queen/final boss) are easier if you fight them from a safe distance with the bullets if you are struggling with the 'no repair' trophy. Using the bullets that way will reduce your final S for sure since you need more time, however, since you don't have to care about any ranks anymore, I've decided to play two separate playthroughs.

Thanks again for the guide, it was very helpful!

Glad I helped, but to be honest, doing S Rank and No Repair only make the playthrough a little harder, but personally, it was not a significant notice.

For Forbidden Floor, I agree because of the boss's second phase since you will need your limbs during that phase.

For Edge of the Abyss, not going for No Repair and S Rank makes it a small problem because of the enemies killed category. You can easily get a B and can lose the S rank if you get an A in parts lost.

But yeah, whatever you feel like doing. Good luck on 100%.

Hi and thanks for your feedback! :)

The boss I was struggling most during my S playthrough was the Yore one. I've watched several online videos and read your tips but had a hard time without repairing.

For my 'no repair' playthrough, I've done the following: I've started by running in a circle (as far away as possible) and destroyed all the towers first by blowing up the barrels - so I could see the fire bullets much better and avoid them. Then, for 15min, I continue running in a circle and used bullets on the boss' head only.

When the boss built up his blue sphere (40% HP left), I've destroyed the platforms - that brought the boss down to 1% HP. I only needed one final head punch and won. Well, fail in time but I made it. :)

For the final boss, I have enough time now to build up 9999 Aura even if I'm unable to Just Guard the instant kill spheres timely since I don't have to focus on the rank anymore. I really feel more comfortable to play it that way than to play 'S / no repair' in one go. My respect to everybody who was able to do it in one go, my age-related reactions aren't that good anymore. :)

What happened in Yore? Personally, I hardly ever died there but if I did, it would be because of the launch attack the boss does since it is unpredictable. It also wasted my time greatly (hence the A). Sometimes it spams it, sometimes it does not. That, and I almost never lost a limb farming aura.

I finished my first run with no continue and no repair. On 2 stages i got only A, so i need another run. How many FULL repair need to got only C for "part losing"? And can i use the XMB-method, on the result screen, or it's too late?

The random launch attacks were an issue, combined with some game lagging (game only lagged in Yore only). When I got my S there, the boss never used its launch attacks and thus I had no problem during this single time - thanks God! :)

I got 100% today btw: For the final boss I've collected 9999 Aura for about 5min first, after the 8 platforms, I've destroyed one of his bubbles as far away as possible from him (right where you start the chapter) and shot on a bubble with bullets from this save distance (although the boss is able to protect some of its bubbles by covering them, it's unable to cover all of them). Then I got a free teleport to the head, did what you wrote and went back as far as possible from it to gain 9999 Aura again. 2nd bubble from a save distance, head again - done. :)

As I wrote above, focussing on 'S' and 'no repair' on the same time would have been too overwhelming for me. I'm glad that I've done those trophies separately: Repairing during my 'S' playthrough was great - not to care about time, chains and enemies on my 'no repair' playthrough was nice as well.

After I've finished my 'S' playthrough I wanted to start my 'no repair' one. The first boss (Queen) destroyed me 12 times in a row without any problems. Since I know from other games (e.g. 'Zuma' or other japanese games) the difficulty might go up after completion without telling this to a player, I've saved the locked file (PS+ folder), deleted it and started from the beginning. And won against the Queen really quick. Either tough luck 12 times or the difficulty really goes up after you've finished normal mode (in general or with an overall 'S' rank).

Since locked save files can only be downloaded once after 24h, I have to wait 2h now to get the original save file back - and then I'd like to play for fun a little bit, without focusing on trophies/ranks anymore. :)

So thank you a last time for your great roadmap: It's really detailed and helped a lot! And sorry for grammar/spelling, not my mother tongue. :)

The rank is based on the parts you've lost only, not connected to the repair. Losing 4 parts and repairing them individually, one by one, is the same like repairing them in one go (FULL repair). 7 parts still gave me a 'B' so it might be like this:

0-4 parts: S

5/6 parts: A

7/8 parts: B

9/10 parts: C

11+ parts: D

Your 2nd question: It's fine to quit with the PS button when you get the result screen. Just don't press the X button - the game will save after you've done so (white book flashing in the down left corner).

Thanks for the answer! So 2 full repair it's OK maybe. Oh, and one more question: if i use continue(s), it's decrase my rank?

No - there's no 'punishment' according to the final rank. If you go for the 'all S' trophy you might use a continue (= at least 5 parts lost if you didn't repair them before) and you may then lose another 2 or even 3 parts (7 still is a 'B', 8 might be a 'B' as well but I don't know). Since you already have 'no repair' done, you might use up to one 'continue' per level - save one of them for the final boss (7 parts during the last fight will definitely give you a 'B' because I lost 7 parts there).

If you used a 'continue' but think it wasn't worth it while finishing a level, just press the PS button while the result screen is shown to you and you get that 'continue' back. Don't go to title screen after using a 'continue' - the used 'continue' will be saved and thus it's lost for your current playtrough.

Thanks for the info! Only 1-2 attemtps needed on every stages, thanks to the repair. (God, the repair make this game a LOT easier.) I don't use any continues, only one full repair on 2-3 stages. On the last stage i killed 800+ enemies, lol. My first story run i got it only B for the kills on this stage...

Just the kill grind left for my 100%.

Oh, and congrats your 100%!

The final boss also likes heals its blobs when it covers them up.

You need luck for Ashlelei. She destroyed me so many times during my first playthrough. I found her as hard as the final boss. That, and you need to make every hit count. Congrats on 100%.

I know you got 100% already (Congrats), but I think the S rank requirements vary for each boss. For example, take a look at Forbidden Floor and Edge of the Abyss in the enemies killed requirement. I got an S for around 150 kills for one but an A for around 200 kills on the other. So some bosses may be lenient with more than 4 parts, not sure though.

Approximate amount of time to 100%: 5-15 hours

Thank you for the guide, but, how in the hell may this be 5 hours? And also, how in the hell may this be 15 hours at max? I can play this game with plus so i can play it just for a few days more, i decided to download it according to this trophy guide "time to 100%" and now i realize i can never get 100% in time. Well... Try to be more carefull and fair... u should have wote 5 hours (for savant players), 50 hours (for avarage players), never (for the others)... I'm pretty disappointed...

Actually, this 100% is even possible in a little over an hour (if you want a brutal experience, that is), maybe even a little less in you do it all in one playthrough. 5 hours is actually over the time you would have probably finished in using my roadmap. I as an average gamer finished in 15 hours according to the game timer (mostly doing trial and error for a few things). This was pretty fair for the roadmap. 50 hours is absurd. There is not much to do in this game and you are given 30 minutes per boss fight (total of 6), let alone you need to complete each one within 5-6 minutes along with a short (15 minute?) grind, 5 minute score attack, and 3-5 minute attempt at the 100 chain.

That and the average 100% rating is a 9/10, that kinda states how long it will take you depending on how experienced you are with hack 'n slashes.

That ancient guide is obsolete, vague, and contains inaccuracies. The estimate amount of time is an extreme overestimate (or accurate depending on the roadmap he gave, which is too long for a good roadmap).

Have fun on easy I guess.

Is this game worth playing? I got it for free but there's not much on the Internet about the game + I'm not sure I can 100% it (though if its good I will do it despite my lack of skill XD). Seems interesting

It is a simple game with not much to offer. I liked it, but if you are too spoiled by this generations games then chances are you may find problems. If you like hack 'n slash, you should definitely give this a go.
