Road Map

Overview:

- Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (Trophy Difficulty Thread)

- Offline: 10 (7(B), 4(S), 1(G))

- Online: 2 (1(B), 1(S))

- Approximate time to 100%: 8 hours (4 in single player, 4 in multiplayer)

- Minimum playthroughs: 1

- Missable trophies: none

- Glitched trophies: none

- Cheats: none

- Does difficulty affect trophies? No, you can play everything on easy and get 100%

Introduction:

You can't get enough of games like Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Pure and Nail’d? Mad Riders will be just the game for you if you’re looking for a short adrenalin boost. This short and fast-paced game will have you racing on quad bikes and buggies through exotic environments around the world. Catch tokens and perform stunts to gain more boost and leave your opponents behind you. The buggies won't let you perform most of the stunts, but they can reach higher speeds than the quad bikes and have automatically regenerating boost. During your single player campaign you can play through Tournament mode and Quick Race mode. You can also play against real-life players in the multiplayer mode.

There are 6 event types:

- Race: Beat 7 opponents (up to 11 online) to the finish line

- Race the clock: Pass through the checkpoints before time runs out, time is added after each checkpoint

- Ghost challenge: Beat the ghost of an experienced rider to the finish line

- Arena: Ride through strategically placed checkpoints in a large circular area with obstacles

- Stunt race: The rider who performs the most stunts wins the match, crossing the finish line first is not required

- Perfectionist (online only): Ride the same lap multiple times during a set amount of time and improve your lap time to be the quickest rider

Step 1: Tournament

Play through the 8 rounds of Tournament mode, each consisting of 5 events. There are no difficulty-related trophies so if you’re feeling uncertain about your racing skills, simply switch the difficulty to easy in the options menu. You should try and get 3 stars in each event while you progress, except in the ‘race the clock’ events, where 1 star is sufficient. Most of the events are fairly easy to beat, but if you’re having trouble with "Blooming Slopes" (the race the clock event in round 5 of the tournament) I suggest you wait until you have unlocked the faster vehicles in the game.

As you are progressing you will unlock all 8 Offroad Elite races. By the end of this step you will most likely have obtained some if not all of the random trophies, which are Appetizer (B); I can't stop (B); Goon riding, hah! (B); Mad skillz, I has them (S); Runway runaway (B); Power extreme! (B) and Detour (B). Note that you can also obtain those trophies online (except Appetizer) and that your progress with them in the single player AND the multiplayer is cumulative. As soon as you beat the last race, you will obtain Done and done (G).

Step 2: Offroad Elite

There are 8 Offroad Elite events (5 race the clock races and 3 ghost challenges), which are locked initially. You will unlock them automatically while going for 'Done and done', since you need 10 stars in one round to unlock one of these, which is the same amount of stars required to progress to the next round in the tournament.

There are no stars in the Offroad Elite events, you simply need to beat them. Moreover, with each event you unlock a new vehicle. At the end of this step, you will unlock Racing nobility (S), and if you have won all the main events during step 1, you will also unlock The day I won it all (S). If not, you can use the newly obtained faster vehicles to beat the remaining ones more easily.

Step 3: Multiplayer

During this step you will focus on getting at least 1 win and reaching driver level 10, for which you need 69,850 xp. Single player and multiplayer each have their own driver level, so your level from the tournament will not continue in the multiplayer. Winning doesn’t really make a difference here, but you need to finish at least in 6th position to gain xp for finishing. However, given how few people play this game, you will often not be playing with more than 3 or 4 opponents, so even if you finish last in a 4-player race, you will get the same amount of xp as when you finish 4th in a 12-player race. Contrary to the single player, you will never gain more than 500 xp for winning an online race. Therefore, you should try to perform as many stunts as possible during each race, as they give you a lot of additional xp. During this step you will unlock Feel the connection (B) and Here for the long ride (S).

Trophy Guide

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/EB2.jpgAppetizerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Win your first race (Single player)

Just win a race. You can't get this trophy after winning the first race in Tournament mode, because that’s a tutorial race. Just win any other tournament race or a quick race and it will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/F24.jpgDone and donehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Win the last Tournament race (complete the tournament)

Tournament consists of 8 rounds, each consisting of 5 races. You need to earn 10 stars in one round to unlock the next round. In the last round, you need to earn 10 stars in order to unlock the very last event, which is a ghost challenge. Defeat the ghost to win the tournament. You don’t need to have won every single race in the tournament for this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/B70.jpgThe day I won it allhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Win all races in all tournament cards including Offroad Elite races

Just win every event available in the tournament, 48 total, including the 8 Offroad Elite events. You need to obtain all 3 stars in each tournament event except the "race the clock" events, for which you only need 1 star for finishing within the time limit (the other 2 stars are for having 3 or 6 seconds remaining). Just switch the difficulty to easy if you are having trouble finishing in first position.

There is 1 event that is considerably harder than the other events and will make you want to pull your hair out, which is the race the clock event "Blooming Slopes" in the fifth round of the tournament. I recommend waiting until you unlock faster vehicles before attempting this.

Fortunately you only need to obtain 1 star in this event but even then it is very hard. You can rank up to level 15 first, after which you unlock the fastest squad bike in the game. With that vehicle I beat the race in only 1 attempt.

Collect 100 boost tokens

This will come very early in the game. The red tokens are boost tokens and they are scattered all over each track. Just keep collecting them as you go and you will have collected 100 boost tokens in no time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/4CD.jpgMad skillz, I has themhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Perform 250 Stunts

This will come very quickly. You don't even have to try for it as it will come naturally. I got the trophy shortly after starting round 3 in the tournament. "Sidewinder" and "Perfect Landing" are the stunt bonuses that you will be getting the most without particularly aiming for them.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/903.jpgGoon riding, hah!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Perform 100 Stunts

See "Mad skillz, I has them" above.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/623.jpgRunway runawayhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Land in the target zone 50 times

Target zones are the yellow round target marks on the ground that appear after certain high jumps. You have to land on the mark for it to count towards the trophy. Landing in the right spot can be a bit tricky but you can influence how far you will land by pushing the left analogue stick either up or down while in the air. will increase your jumping distance, will decrease it. You may end up missing one during your first lap, but since all the races have multiple laps, you will know where to expect them during the next lap(s) and be able to time your jumps better.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/3C1.jpgPower Extreme!http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Activate Recharge 66 times

The blue recharge tokens become available in round 2 of the tournament. They make groups of 3 red boost tokens that are otherwise unreachable appear within your reach. When you collect a recharge token you have to wait until the game prompts you to press :triangle:, after which the boost tokens will appear. Do this 66 times for the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/17D.jpgDetourhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Activate a Shortcut 50 times

Shortcuts can be activated by collecting blue tokens, similar to the recharge ones. They become available in round 2 of the tournament. After collecting a blue token, press :triangle: to open a shortcut. Do this 50 times for the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/351.jpgRacing nobilityhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Win all "Offroad Elite" events

There are 8 Offroad Elite events that are initially locked. You will unlock one of these for each tournament round that you obtain 10 stars in. To play them, you need to press :square: while in Tournament mode, which will lead you to another page. For the trophy you need to win all 8 events (i.e. 5 race the clock races and 3 ghost challenges).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/19C.jpgFeel the connectionhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Win a multiplayer race

Self explanatory. Just win an online race. If you are having trouble winning, you can look for a boosting partner in the boosting thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/4D0.jpgHere for the long ridehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Achieve level 10 in multiplayer

You need 69,850 xp to reach level 10. How much xp you get out of a race depends on the position you finish in and how many stunts you have performed. Just try to perform as many stunts as you can for additional xp. This will take some time because contrary to single player races, you only get 500 xp for winning a race in multiplayer mode. If you are having trouble finding online opponents, you should consult the boosting thread, which can be found here.

Daredevil map pack

Overview:

- Estimated trophy difficulty: 3

- Offline: 2 (1(B), 1(S))

- Online: 1 (1(S))

- Approximate time to 100%: 2-4 hours

- Minimum playthroughs: 1

- Missable trophies: none

- Glitched trophies: none

- Cheats: none

- Does difficulty affect trophies? No

Introduction:

The Daredevil map pack offers 2 new rounds, called High Stakes and Balance of Forces, and 2 additional Offroad Elite events. They can be found under Platinum Tracks. Both rounds consist of 5 events each, like the rounds from the base game. These events are harder than the tournament events, so it is recommended to complete the base game, level up and unlock the fastest available vehicles before you attempt to get 3 stars in all 10 DLC events. The new tracks can also be played online, and you will have to win 10 races on them for the online trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/0E2.jpgEncorehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Achieve a 3-star rating in all "High Stakes" and "Balance of Forces" races

You will need to achieve all 3 stars for each event, including the race the clock events. As soon as you have all 30 stars in the map pack, the trophy will unlock. Completing both Offroad Elite events is not required. If you are struggling, you should wait until you unlock the guerilla (which you get for reaching driver level 15) and the golden buggy (which you get for winning every event in the base game). They will make your life a lot easier, especially during both ghost challenges and both race the clock events.

For the race the clock events, it is advisable to use the golden buggy. When you can choose between two routes, choose the route that doesn't involve a jump. Jumping will only slow you down and is not needed when driving buggies anyway, since you can't perform stunts with them and therefore cannot gain boost that way. However, buggies automatically regenerate boost, which will be very useful to finish with 6 seconds on the clock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/CC5.jpgAlpha and Omegahttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Reach driver level 15.

This refers to your single player level. You will need 264,850 xp to reach level 15. After finishing both the base game and the DLC events you should be around level 13. The required xp for the next levels increases a lot after level 11. Just keep playing tournament or quick race events.

The fastest way to reach level 15 is by playing the last arena race (it is marked by a flag on a red background and is called "Offroad Insanity") over and over. It takes about 40 seconds to complete it and you get 2,000 xp every time you win. That way you can get 100,000 xp in 1 hour.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1251/711.jpgKeep on sharinghttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Win 10 multiplayer races on tracks from "High Stakes" and "Balance of Forces" events

For this you need to win 10 online races on DLC tracks. To play on DLC tracks, you need to select Multiplayer, then Playstation Network, and after you have chosen your vehicle and rider you need to select the bottom option, which is Downloadable Content. There you can host a match with solely DLC tracks. You can also end up playing DLC races when you choose Quick Game. The chances that you are matched with someone who owns the DLC are slim, so it is better to host a game yourself. If you are having trouble winning races or can't find any online opponents at all, you should consult the boosting thread to find a boosting partner.

Nice job on your 1 st guide, is the dlc worth paying for it?

The dlc is now in both the US and the EU store for 2,99$/€. You don't get much content, just 12 events, but then again it's only 3 bucks.

Really? :p They make the trophies look hard, by from I've heard this can be done in about 4 hours max. ;)

Wrong sources, pal:p If you're good at racing games you could probably complete the singleplayer trophies in 4 hours and the multiplayer trophies in another 4 hours, but certainly not much less than that.

I'll change it to 8 hours in the guide, but I really need more feedback to know for sure. The reason is that I played both the base game and the dlc at the same time and had trouble with 1 particular race for which I ranked up to level 15 (lvl 15 not required for base game 100%) to get the fastest vehicle. Therefore it took me longer than it should have taken me.

Keep on Sharing is glitched. Or somethings wrong with it. It took me 22 wins to get it, and it took my friend 41 wins to get it. We were both hosting when we got it. So, either you need ten wins as the host, or 10 wins on both High Stakes & Balance of Forces. I'm pretty sure you need to be hosting though.

Most likely you need to win as the host. If I recall it right, I was the host all the time, as no-one else was hosting dlc tracks.

So to clarify, you can earn minimum 1 star on everything, but have to have enough stars to get to the next selections. Yes?

I admit the race the clock ones are the toughest for me, but it is good to know I just need 1 star.

I was level 15 but deleted the game. Now re-downloaded it so hopefully nothing will be too bad once I'm max level.

*EDIT Got the trophy for winning everything, you can just have 1 star in race the clock. Thank fuck. Some were very rage inducing.

*DOUBLE EDIT* The first Race the Clock in Premium Tracks (DLC) and the 2nd Ghost challenge, even with Guerilla and Golden Buggy have made me lose track of the amount of times I have said fuck, fucking and cunt. I just CAN NOT beat them.

*TRIPLE EDIT* Beat the ghost. For the Race the Clock, for the first ramp area I never noticed the normal track down, to the right. Got the DLC trophy now.

Overview:

- Estimated trophy difficulty: 1/10 (Trophy Difficulty Thread)

I voted 3. The singleplayer is short and easy when you play it on easy;), except 2 or 3 races, but if you wait until you unlock better quads, they too become doable.

Umm something seems wrong here don't ya think?

I think this should be changed. The game is clearly not a 1/10. I mean, it's not even remotely difficult game so far, but you should change the guide overview to at least be a 3 to match your post in the difficulty thread.

I'm not done with the game yet, but it's not a 1, I can guarantee that. Probably will be a 2 or 3 once I'm done, but people might get mad if they play the game expecting it to be a piece of cake only to struggle a bit.

edit: The rest of the guide is good though, got almost all the trophies done easily :)

edit2: Just got 100%! Only the one Race the Clock event was tough, the rest I got 3 stars on my first attempt! Also didn't need to grind at all because the dlc was enough for me to reach level 15. :)

Hey everyone! I just want to let you know that the "Done and done" trophy glitched for me. I won the final race of the tournament multiple times and I still didn't get the trophy. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but that didn't help.

So I deleted my save file and started completely from the beginning. I skipped as much as I could, so that I can do that final race again. I did do all of the off road elite challenges for the best vehicles. I don't know how or why, but this time I did get the "Done and done" trophy when I won the final race of the tournament. So if anyone's trophy glitched just like mine, that's a solution which worked for me.

Apart from that, maybe keep the difficulty on medium. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but when I first played this game, I played it on easy. Maybe that's also why the trophy glitched?
