Overview:

-Estimated trophy difficulty: 4/10

-Overall number of trophies: 10

-Offline: 1 (1 (B))

-Online: 9 (6 (B), 3 (S))

-Approx time to 100%: 5-10 hours (Depending on whether you boost or not)

-Missable trophies: None

Before we begin it's worth noting that you have a "allowance" that you have for each day from Rockstar to bet. You get $200 at the start of every real day to bet with. Once it's gone, it's gone and you will either have to wait a day or you will need to play online multiplayer games to earn cash for your gambling ways. Keep this in mind when going for the poker trophies.

Also rather than posting it in every single trophy description I'll post it here. The following link will take you to the trophy boosting thread that can be used to find boosting partners to get some of the tricky multiplayer trophies. Every multiplayer trophy can be boosted in one way or another through private games.

Complete the Explosive Rifle Single Player Challenge

There are a total of 5 single player challenges that you need to complete to get this trophy.

Rank 1: The first challenge you need to complete is buying the weapon. The weapon can be purchased in the Blackwater gun shop for anywhere between $5,000 and $15,000 depending on your honor rating.

Rank 2: The challenge is you need to kill 5 enemies with the explosive rifle while they are taking cover. This can easily be done at any gang hideout around the map. If I were going to suggest one to do however it would probably be Tesoro Azul since just about every enemy in the first half of the hideout is hiding behind some sort of wall or doorway. This does not have to be done in one shot and it does not have to be done in 5 straight shots so take your time with it.

Rank 3: You must kill 3 enemies with one shot with your explosive rifle. The easiest way to do this is by using the hogtie technique. Simply hogtie 3 enemies from a gang hideout and drag them close to each other and watch the explosion from your explosive rifle shot. Another way is to simply go to Solomon's Folly and wait until 3 people walk near each other since they don't begin shooting at you until you shoot at them.

Rank 4: For this rank you need to kill any 2 wild animals with one shot from your explosive rifle. There are a bunch of different ways to do this but I found the easiest way was by setting down bait and waiting for the animals to come. Once the animals are surrounding and eating the bait they are wide open for a nice explosive round. Another good way is to just go to Mexico and wait for wolves to attack you. They travel in packs of about 4-5 and since they all attack you at once they are really close together making it a perfect opportunity for this challenge.

Rank 5: For this last challenge you must kill an enemy while wearing the US Army outfit. To change your outfit go to any safehouse and change to the US Army outfit. Once you have it on go to any gang hideout, take out your explosive rifle and shoot the first enemy you see and ding, trophy.

In a Multiplayer Poker game, win a hand on the last card when you were losing prior

If you play poker this shouldn't be new to you. All poker players have gotten into situations where they were losing a hand all the way through only to get the card they were waiting for on the last card to win the hand. That happens to be exactly what you need to do for this trophy.

The basic point of poker is to have the best hand. The following is what beats what in poker.

1. Royal Straight Flush

2. Straight Flush

3. Four of a Kind

4. Full House

5. Flush

6. Straight

7. Three of a Kind

8. Two Pair

9. One Pair

10. High Card

So let me use an example hand. Let's say your opponent has pocket 7s (two 7s in his starting hand) and you have a king and jack, both being hearts. The hand continues and the flop comes out showing a 7 of clubs, 10 of hearts and 2 of hearts. As of now you would be losing the hand but you still have a good shot at making that flush which beats a three of a kind. The hand proceeds and the turn comes out to be a 5 of spades. You're down to the last card, the dealer deals the river and it's a queen of hearts. You would win the hand and get the trophy since you were behind until the last card where you pulled off the win.

You can get this trophy with any of the possible ways to win a hand (listed above) except for winning by a high card. It's impossible to win by a high card and be behind an entire hand. You mostly get these situations when you go for a straight or a flush since you need at least 3 of the dealt cards to go your way. Keep playing poker games and this should come in no time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/340/73.jpg Good Call (B)

In a single Multiplayer Liar's Dice game, successfully make a spot-on call

Making a spot-on call means that you will need to guess the exact number of a certain die on the table. For instance if there is a total of four 5 dies then you will need to guess that there is four 5 dies. If there's more people at the table then you're going to want to guess higher numbers and smaller numbers for smaller groups. No-brainer right?

Guessing the number however isn't as easy as the concept though. If you can get in a small, preferably 1 on 1 match it will increase your chances of getting a spot-on call. The best time to do get a spot on call is when the player has 1 die left. Once the player has one die left they can do one of two things, lie and say they have a die that they don't have or they will say the one die that actually have left. You have a 50/50 shot of getting it right at that point.

Getting in a lobby with a friend would be even better. Your friend could tell you how many of a certain die he has and then just add that total to to the number of that same type of die that you have and voila, trophy!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/340/74.jpg One Die to Rule Them All (B)

In a Multiplayer Liar's Dice game, win with only one die left

The less die you have in Liar's Dice the worse because having less die makes it easier to get called on bluffs and it's easier to guess how many of a certain die you have. You're going to want to try to get all of your other opponents out of the game and have one left. Once you have that one guy left you're going to want to get him down to one die and then try to lose all your die except one. To purposely lose your die guess ridiculous die situations like five 6s when there's five die on the board and things like that. Once you're down to one die you have a 50/50 shot of winning the game since you can either call his bluff or hope that both of you have the same die so he trys to call you out on a bluff. If you win the game you will have won a game with only one die left and you will be awarded your trophy.

During a Grand Prix, finish a race after placing last in the previous race

This is a pretty easy trophy and can easily be boosted. Grand Prix is basically the single player horse racing except it's against real players and you can shoot each other. You have a limited number of ammo for each weapon though so you're going to want to be pretty close if you're going to start shooting one of your competitors.

Gran Prix's consist of about 3 to 5 races leaving you a couple chances to get this trophy. Try to get in last during the first race to give you the most opportunities to get the trophy. Losing the race is the easy part but the hard part is winning right afterwards. There are two strategies to go about winning horse races without boosting. One is shooting and the other is running.

The shooting strategy will require you to have good aim while on horseback. There is no auto aim in Grand Prix so it's all up to your aiming skills to take down the opponent. This method will require you to, right of the start, ride as close to the other rider/riders as possible without getting in front of them. It's much easier to shoot a rider that you're following opposed to a rider that is following you. Weapons become available after the first 5 seconds of the race so once those 5 seconds are up you should take out your shotgun and immediately fire at the other rider. If you kill him once it should give you a big enough lead to win the race from there. If he does happen to catch up however then just use the same strategy to get back in front.

The running method is to do just that, run! Right off the start you're going to want to sprint as fast as you can out of the gate. You're going to want to get as far out in first place as you possibly can. 9 times out of 10 the rider behind you will try to shoot at you to get in the lead. If you do a simple zig zag pattern you should be able to dodge most of his shots with ease. You want the other rider to shoot at you though because if the other rider is shooting at you there's more of a chance that he isn't paying attention to the road or his stamina bar which will slow him down and give you more of a lead.

Lose a race and win your next race to unlock the trophy.

This trophy can be easily boosted.

Get a triple kill while on the attacking team in Stronghold

First thing's first, enter a Stronghold game by going to multiplayer and then scroll down until you see Stronghold (it's one of the last ones). There are really two ways to get this trophy, one being the explosive rifle and the other being dynamite.

The explosive rifle is found in the safes that you crack as the attackers. The rifle may be harder to get than the dynamite but the rifle certainly packs a punch and provides accuracy that the dynamite simply cannot match. If you die with the explosive rifle you lose the rifle. It cannot be picked up nor can it be gotten anywhere else until you reach the next safe objective.

The dynamite on the other hand is given to you at the start of the round when you are the attackers. You get one stick of dynamite per life. Dynamite has as much explosive power as the explosive rifle but you are going to need to take more time to aim with the dynamite due to the arch that is needed to reach the target and the aim it takes to get the actual dynamite around your surroundings. If available I would choose the explosive rifle over the dynamite but both can be easily used to get the triple kill.

Now that you know about the weapons you need to know how to get the triple kill. I'm not going to lie, this trophy is hard going for it legitimately. My map of choice is Thieve's Landing since there are a lot of building that the defenders normally sit in big groups. The building next to the first objective flag is normally filled to the brim with the enemy team so a nice stick of dynamite will do the job to get the kills. Another good spot on that map is on the second safe that you need to crack. It's upstairs in a small room of a warehouse and there is normally at least two guys on each doorway and one guy watching the safe. The good thing about this spot is there's a window that you can throw a piece of dynamite into so that it lands right into the room.

Another great spot uses the cannons on the Fort Mercer map. When you're the attackers you will need to capture two flags before you get to the cannon objective. Once you get the cannons it's basically all over for the enemy team from there. Something about these cannons just makes them kill you from miles away. These cannons are a great way to get triple kills if you shoot towards what will be the defenders base on the bottom of your cannon hill.

When you go for this trophy you yourself must survive the blast. Even if you killed 3 people with one blast to get your triple kill if you kill yourself also you will NOT get the trophy. Thanks PuppetShoJustice for that tip.

This trophy can be boosted however in private matches with friends so if you don't feel like getting it then just get some friends or people from the boosting thread to help you out.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/340/79.jpg Put the Posse on a Pedastal (B)

Attain over 50,000 posse points in a single Free Roam session

Points can be earned in free roam by killing law enforcement and killing other players. All of the points you and your posse members earn are added together to give you a total for your posse points. The best way to get points is by doing gang hideouts with your posse. If you get a full posse and split up into groups of 2 and each group gets a different hideout you'll get this trophy in no time.

Also your points are tied to you not your posse so if you join a posse with 50,000 points you'll get the trophy or if you're at 45,000 points and a player leaves that has 10,000 points he will take those 10,000 points with him.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/340/75.jpg Triple Crown (B)

Get first place in all races in any Grand Prix

Grand Prix's are multiplayer horse races tat consist of anywhere from 3 to 5 races. I suggest you do the Rathskeller Grand Prix since it has only 3 races and those 3 races are pretty short leaving you with a smaller chance of error.

You must win all of the races in the Grand Prix to get the trophy. See From Glue to Mon Dieu! for strategies on winning races legitimately.

This trophy can be boosted with friends or people on this site through private games.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/340/71.jpg Pa-Pa-Pa-Poker Ace (S)

In a full Multiplayer game, beat the table when the blinds are at maximum

First of all you must be playing in a poker game where 6 people are at the table. Now that you know that you're probably wonder what the hell blinds are. The blinds in poker are the bets that automatically go into the pot at the beginning of the hand. The person sitting left of the dealer is the small blind and the person to the left of the small blind is the big blind. The small blind puts in half of the amount of the big blind. Blinds increase over time so when you notice that you're paying more money before the hand even starts that's how you know a blind has gone up. There will also be an announcement at the bottom of the screen saying that the blinds have been raised.

The blinds go up every 5 minutes and they keep on doubling until they reach maximum. It will take approximately 25-30 minutes to get the blinds to maximum. From there you will not just win a hand but win the entire game. Depending on how many people there are and the amount of chips you have this can be a difficult task but if you know your way around the poker tables then you should be fine.

The following is the maximum blind for each table:

Macfarlanes Ranch - $10 buy in - blinds max out at 64.

Armadillo -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192

Theives Landing -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192

Casa Madrugada -$50 buy in - blinds max out at 384

Beechers Hope - $100 buy in - blinds max out at 640

Blackwater - -$100 buy in - blinds max out at 640

Thanks to Blessorship for the blind numbers.

You only need to start with a table of 6 people. Once you start the table people can leave whenever they want and it won't affect your trophy. So there can be only you and another person at the table when the blinds reach maximum and you can still get the trophy if you started the game with the full 6 people.

This trophy is boostable since you can get into a table with all of your friends. If you boost with a lot of people though beware because it's going to take a while considering it takes about half an hour for each person.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/340/77.jpg We Must Protect This House! (B)

While on defense, do not allow the attacking team to capture any of their objectives

This is actually a really easy trophy if you have a decent team. In a game of Stronghold each team takes turn attacking the other team's objectives. If you don't start out on defense don't worry about it because you will be on defense for the next round. The round is over when the defending team either runs out of time or runs out of lives. You must win the round without letting the attacking team take any flags or crack any safes, but lucky for you there's only one objective at a time that you need to defend.

The attacking team is going to be going for points on the map and it's your job to defend them. They will either need to capture a flag or crack a safe. The more people that you allow inside of the flag area the quicker the flag will be captured so you are going to want at least one or two guys to be on the objective at ALL TIMES! The rest of your team should be trying to trap them in their spawn so that they can't get to your flag without running into at least one of your team members. Using this method you will easily stop the enemy team.

Of course you can boost this trophy in a private game with your friends. Just set up a private game, invite your friend and boost to your hearts content.

Whoopsy forgot that, sorry. To get the trophy you need to go against 6 people at the table. I still need to confirm something for that trophy though. I'm not sure whether or not you need to have the table still full when the blinds are at maximum to get the trophy or as long as the table started full you can get the trophy.

I'll probably confirm that sometime tomorrow since I'm about to log off PS3.

I hope it is that way, because tonight I got to 3-4 full tables and ALWAYS there is 1-2 idiots that goes all-in in the first hand and got busted <_<.... So, keep the 6 players all that time is nearly impossible without boosting u.u...

btw, the amount of money that you put in the guide for the max big blind maybe is the one for MacFarlane's because in Beechers Hope I played like 15 minutes and the blinds goes to 320 or something like that XD... Maybe you need to put the max in all the possible tables =)

Thank you for the crisp guide. It's much better structured and phrased than Godchild's.

I would argue that the use of the cannons on Fort Mercer is a legit method of getting the Legion of Boom trophy. If only because the defending team respawns inside a room that is easily blastable by the cannons. Obviously mileage here is going to vary but if you find yourself on this particular map and attacking its more than likely your best bet.

Another good spot is at the tail end of Thieves Landing when you need to take the "Final Dock". There are only two directions to approach the dock from (right, and straight ahead facing inward to land) and only the path facing the dock itself provides cover; so literally everyone takes it. This makes for a really solid bottleneck for dynamite pitching.

Thanks for the guide! Unfortunately, I'm having problems with the Grand Prix. It just sits at the loading screen forever. I've tried twice and it's done the same thing both times.

Keep trying because it happened to me too. It worked the first race of my first Grand Prix and the next race went into that endless loading loop. It took another two or three tries to finally get it to work.

Yea I honestly haven't played at a different table yet. Of the 4-5 poker games I played I played them all at the same place so I'll see if I can find the differences in blinds when I get home today.

And I sure hope that we don't need to have the full table when the maximum blinds go up. That would almost guarantee that it would have to be boosted.

Yeah I agree the cannons are a great spot. I was in a posse with two guys on one entrance, two on the other and one guy killing the stragglers. I think for hideouts though you get point bonuses though.

Pretty much as I expected. Poker only works with people who actually know what they're doing. :)

Haven't gotten the DLC yet over here in The Netherlands, but I'll go check it out tonight or tomorrow early in the morning.

This looks like a good guide, so I'll keep that filed away.

For Pa-Pa-Pa-Poker Ace: The big blind goes up to 192 only on the $25 tables. Each location in the game has differnt buy ins. McFarlands Ranch is only $10 to buy in. So you will have 20 tries per day. The blinds go up every 5 minutes. (except the first which is 10 minutes)

Also you only have to start the table with 6 people. If someone busts and leaves the table you can still continue and get this trophy. In fact, in our party we did the rude thing and kicked the 3 random people that were in our game at the very start. And repeatedly folded for the final 25 minutes until the blind maxxed out. Then simply let the guy who needs the trophy win.

We tried this trophy with 6 people, and with all 6 people still at the table at the end - the game would freeze. So it is more likely it wont freeze with fewer people at the table (as long as you started with 6)

McFarlands Ranch - $10 buy in - blinds max out at 64.

Armadillo -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192

Theives Landing -$25 buy in - blinds max out at 192

??? -$50 buy in - blinds max out at ???

Beechers Hope - $100 buy in - blinds max out at

Blackwater - -$100 buy in - blinds max out at ???

Interesting bits.

Do you just need to win the hand when blinds are at maximum?

Or do all the remaining players have to be in the hand at the showdown for this trophy to unlock?

It would make a huge difference.

If you just need to win the hand, the others could simply fold towards the person needing the trophy at maximum blinds. If all the remaining players need to see a showdown, then it's a matter of dumb luck who has the best hand...

[edit] Ah, I see the Guide has been amended, which pretty much answers my question: it's option 3, beat all other players until they bust out. :)

The other players need to bust out, its the last man standing. Blessorship, TheNukes and I did the trophy Together.

The blinds need to be at maximum which is listed 192 for 25 dollar buy in and 64 for a 10 dollar buy in.

All you have to do is start off with six and kick 3 to 4 people and end the game with maximum blinds.

So you can start off with six and as soon as it starts kick any players you don't want at the table.

I did it the "Pa-Pa-Pa-Poker Ace" with 6 players and teh game dont freeze!

For an easy way to get this is simple.

Start the game in the Macfarlanes Ranch, and let the game go alone, because e fold automatically. When pass 25-30, go to the game and the player who gonna win the trophy Check all the time, the others Fold all the time. Its very simple!

Plz can you help me with some questions....

1. Can I get "Put the Posse on a Pedestal", "Triple Crown" and "We Must Protect this House" playing with a friend in a Private Online room, or you can't play Horse Races or Stronghold (with just 2 ppl) in Private Online?

2. How works the points of the Posse? When a Posse finish a hideout how much Posse Points I get? We get the accumulate of all the players? Will the Double XP Weekend help to boost this trophie?

Thx for your answers!
