Introduction:

Legasista is a dungeon crawler action RPG. The storyline dungeons have a fixed pattern, but extra dungeons are randomly generated. Hence why they're called 'Random Dungeons'.

Trophy-wise, the game is really straightforward, albeit grindy. However, due to the random nature of the dungeon crawler genre, luck will play a great part, should it be while farming for equipment or just progressing through the random dungeons (Baby-geon, Ran-geon, etc.).

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Storyline & Baby-geon

The story consists of several dungeons. You will learn all the game basics while going through the first dungeon area and you will unlock several things (Characters, game mechanisms, etc.) while progressing through the storyline. Once you get the ability to explore random dungeons, you should try to get the '30-Floor Baby-geon' trophy as it doesn't require as much dedication as the other dungeon trophies. During this step you will unlock the following trophies:

(S) Conquered the Ivy Tower

(B) 30-Floor Baby-geon

Step 2: Other random dungeons

As mentioned previously, the random dungeons are the main focus of the game trophy-wise. You will need to level up your characters and search for specific equipment before even attempting a run through these dungeons. During this step you will unlock the following trophies:

(B) Trioed 100-Floor Ran-geon

(S) Duoed 100-Floor Ran-geon

(G) Soloed 100-Floor Ran-geon

(S) Trioed 200-Floor Ran-geon

(G) Soloed 200-Floor Demon-geon

(P) Got All Trophies

Closing notes:

If you are a fan of dungeon crawlers, Legasista will please you. However, the platinum relies heavily on luck. If you want to share tips, strategies, complaints, etc. feel free to comment. If you have really important remarks about this guide (e.g. a better way to get a trophy), and I didn't reply on this thread, send me a private message.

Thank you for reading and have fun!

:tagstackable:

After finishing the 5th storyline dungeon area (Ruined Sea World), you will gain the ability to explore random dungeons and this will be the main focus of the game (trophy-wise anyway). You can find random dungeons by doing this:

:start: or :triangle: → Head Out → Rangeon → Search for Ran-geons. You will then have to use the :dpad: or :ls: to move the cursor around the Railyard (the game overworld) and press :cross: to select the dungeon. Depending on where you move the cursor, you will find different kinds of dungeon:

• Baby-geon:

Beginning Monster LV: Low (Level can go up to 100)

Floors: 30F

• Ran-geon:

Beginnng Monster LV: Normal (Level can go up to 9999)

Floors: 100F

• Hard-geon:

Beginning Monster LV: High (Level can go up to 9999)

Floors: 100F

• Demon-geon:

Beginning Monster LV: Evil (Level can go up to 9999)

Floors: 100F

As you can see, the gap between Baby-geons and the others is really huge. In fact unless stated clearly, I will talk only about the other dungeons.

Dungeons are really similar and once you have finished farming equipment the main differences are:

  • Rarer exits in Hard-geons and Demon-geons
  • Harder Boss floors in Demon-geons

Talking about boss floors, dungeons contain boss floors at floor 15F, 30F, 45F, 60F, 75F, 90F, 100F and 200F. Yes, even though only mentioning 100 floors previously, dungeons actually have 200 floors. At floor 100F you need a Black Key to progress through the dungeon. This key is dropped randomly from monsters and is really rare.

The only sure way to progress is to use a glitch, the arrow glitch:

You can just use the arrow glitch to get through it. Simply have a thief with a bow with a lot of speed (at least 1000 or so) shoot an arrow and run in front of it to the door, the arrow will then hit your back and you'll go through the door. Works with any door as long as you have enough distance to run in front of the arrow, including gold doors, which means you can skip bosses that you don't want to fight and save some gold keys.

You can also check the video (credit to kobekobe8323) in the following spoiler for a visualisation of the arrow glitch (jump to 5:25):

[spoiler=flch][ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2vu-G62kzc]「迕宮塔蕯レガゕスタã€ãƒ—ラãƒãƒŠãƒˆãƒ*フィーç²å¾— - YouTube[/ame]

You will need a really slow-firing bow. Otherwise the arrows will be too quick for your character. You can also use some bow Skills (Rapid Fire, Ice or Fire shot) as they can be slower than a normal shot (credit to luckyegg)

To clear a dungeon, you have to reach 200F (or 100F if you want to do trophies separately). On these floors you will always find an exit and they will pop your trophies if you use them. Exits can be randomly found on other floors but they won't pop any trophy if taken.

To select the number of characters in your party:

:start: or :triangle: → Form → Change Team. For a party with less than 3 characters, pick your character(s) then select 'Done' at the bottom of the list.

You will need 1 character for 'Soloed...' trophies, a party of 2 characters for 'Duoed...' trophies and a party of 3 characters for 'Trioed...' trophies.

Your settings (team, gear, etc.) are made before going in a dungeon. You can only change your gear in a dungeon but it's temporary and is related to a game mechanism:

If one of your equipment is broken, you can equip an item found during your run to replace it, but it has to be a 'fine' (yellow-colored) item or a 'keen' (green-colored) item. This doesn't affect any trophy.

Notes:

  • furious_banana found an invincibility glitch making the game a cakewalk. You can check the tutorial here.
  • The dungeons must be done in one sitting.
  • Infinite lantern tip (credit to NovaSD):

You can toss the lantern when it is about to burn out and it will refill itself.
I used it every floor of the rangeon so I had unlimited light source, it was really helpful on my solo runs.
Lanterns give you light and increase your field of view.
  • Monsters' levels are proportional to your stats. The higher your stats are, the higher their level will be.
  • When reaching Level 9999, Monsters' life and damages will dramatically increase.

Character Building General Information

Character:

Character Creation and Character Trait(s)

After finishing the 4th storyline dungeon area (Ore Warehouse), you will gain the ability to create custom characters: :start: or :triangle: → Edit → Character Creation.

Customization is pretty deep (Gender, age, voice, etc.) and you can even completely create the appearance of your custom character (or just import characters made from other users). Most of your custom characters attributes can be edited whenever you want except for 2 things: Job and Character Traits.

Unlike many other RPGs, character statistics are not unbalanced depending on characters. Let me explain: all characters have nearly similar statistics if they are using the same job at the same level.

The slight difference will come from 'Character Traits', passive universal (applying to all jobs) bonuses. They range from a boost in speed to HP auto-regeneration and cannot be changed at any point.

Character Creation is purely optional but is the only way to choose some Character Traits.

For my build, I used 'No Food/Poison/Medicine+HP'. It allows you to be immune to Poison and to automatically recover HP as long as you still have a piece of equipment active. One main character has this Character Trait so once again, this is optional.

Job

Every character starts with 1 of the following jobs:

• Warrior:

Can equip any weapon.

Combat abilities are superior to other jobs by far.

Can't use magic or thief abilities, and has low MP.

• Explorer:

Can equip a sword or bow.

Has good combat abilities with some magic and thief abilities.

Easy to use and is a versatile job.

• Pyro:

Can equip a club or knife, but mainly uses magic.

Can use an Energy Frame specifically for fire magic.

Specializes in powerful attack magic to deliver lethal damage.

• Cryo:

Can equip a spear or knife, but mainly uses magic.

Can use an Energy Frame specifically for ice magic.

Has a nice balance of healing, support, and attack magic.

• Thief:

Has very fast movement speed and great jumping ability.

Weak at combat, but thief abilities make finding rare items easy.

• War Mage:

Can equip a sword, spear or knife.

Can use both fire and ice magic, and is decent at combat.

Weak jumping ability, and is easily damaged.

After finishing the 1st storyline dungeon area (Tutorial), you will gain the ability to change job. You can only change jobs when you reach level 20 with a job. If you switch to a completely new job, it will set it to level 1. Otherwise, levels stay the same. Considering the arrow glitch mentioned in the trophy guide, it is recommended to use a job allowing you to use a Bow.

Leveling up slightly increases your stats, earns you JP (Job Points) and after reaching specific levels, unlocks Energy Frames.

JP

JP allows you to unlock Job Skills. There are specific job (active only if job is selected) and overall (active for all jobs) skills available. These skills are passive, ranging from additional Speed to Bomb Trap avoidance. Whatever build you choose to do, it is recommended to invest in overall skills for every job.

Energy Frame

Energy Frames modify the character health bars and equipment slots. You obtain Energy Frames by leveling up or completing Ran-geons. However, Energy Frames obtained from Ran-geons will only be given to the party members who completed it and will depend on their current job. Considering the arrow glitch mentioned in the guide, it is recommended to use an Energy Frame allowing you to use a Bow.

Equipment:

Mana

Like in many dungeon crawlers, there are many types of loot to get. However, there isn't any level requirement so if done correctly, even a level 1 character can wear the best gear in the game. Equipments use a Mana system. It should not be mixed up with MP (Magic Points), used to cast spells or abilities. Like mentioned before, Jobs and Energy Frames modify your equipment slots. These slots have a number under them: that is the slot Mana. You can still equip gear in these slots but unless the gear Mana is lower or equal, you won't be able to use it.

Leveling up will increase your slots Mana. You can also increase Mana with 'Gives xx Mana' items (they look like rings). They have a low Mana cost. They can be used on any equipment slot and will increase Mana for the slot to the left of it.

Title

You can also alter an equipment Mana with the Title system. Titles are most of the time bonuses ranging from a MP boost to a Mana reduction. An equipment will generally have a '+ x(number)' next to them if it has titles. There are two categories of titles:

- Main-title: its effect is applied to every Sub-title tied to it. It cannot be modified. May not have any effect ('None' Main Title).

- Sub-title: has an effect along with the Main Title effect. Can be overwritten. Costs Mana unless its effect is Mana reduction.

You can add titles to a gear but only in a dungeon:

- It must have been found during the dungeon run.

- It must have at least a title.

- You have to use a Fortify Gate and be lucky.

In my opinion, the best Main-title is 'Flicky'. It gives 99 Sub titles to your equipment.

The most useful Sub-title is 'Infinite Circuit'. It lowers the equipment Mana by 30 points and adds 50 points for the equipment ability (e.g. Attack for a weapon).

The method used to farm titles is mentioned below (credit to NovaSD):

Take whatever Rare Title ratio + items that you have and stack them on whoever can equip the most gear (this will vary depending on what type of items with RTR+ drop). Supplement the gear with widens. Make a thief and teach him bronze door lockpicking skill, and happy song to increase drop rate. You also need another party member with a weapon enchant so you can kill invulnerable statues.

After you have all of this, head to Silvan Cave 3F. At the end of the level there's a door you can lockpick, and there are 5 metal statues behind it. Cast happy song and the weapon enchant using your support characters and grind away. These statues respawn every 10 seconds and drop gear that always has titles on it (and lanterns, heh). It will start out really slow since you might not have a lot of Rare title gear, but each run will get you more equipped via titles that you'll get some awesome gear eventually.

After about 7 hours of doing this I have a full set of +50 rare title ratio on each gear, I get 1-3 +99 items per 20 min run. So far I've looted +99 DEF/ATK accessories, +99 shields and armor. I have an accessory that I tricked out with Infinity Circuits and ATK Turbos so just one piece of my gear gives me 6k attack and 12k def after widens and triples.

This process is really boring but effective. I'm using the Prudent thief as well, and his lack of decent gear slots sucks, but with this method you can get many powerful pieces of gear.

This should be done end-game, when you're sure about your build. Like mentioned in the guide, having high stats will also make monsters stronger.

Durability

This is an equipment 'life'. When it is equipped, the Durability will be shown under the yellow bar. When taking damages in a dungeon, if you don't have any health bar at the right of it, the damages will affect the gear Durability. Once it reaches 0, the equipment will be destroyed. You can recover Durability with Angel Gates, Rule Gates and 'Repair' abilities.

You can equip an item found in the dungeon to replace a broken gear. It must be 'fine' or 'keen' (respectively yellow or green-colored) though.

Durability will fully recover once you go back to the Railyard. However, the reduced durability of fine/keen equipment that you found and equipped in the dungeons will not be recovered.

You can upgrade an equipment Durability with Titles (e.g. 'Durability + S' Sub-title). You can also do it in a dungeon:

- The item must have been found during the dungeon run.

- You have to use a Fortify Gate and be lucky.

Widen and Triple

Widens and Triples are powerful and very rare items that can be used on any equipment slot. They double (Widen) or triple (Triple) the stats (Mana included) of any gear located to the left of it. They can be stacked.

You can easily find a Widen once you have finished the game storyline. An old Sprout, located in the top-right corner of the Railyard, will give it to you.

Otherwise, you will find them in dungeons. They're randomly dropped by Pickles (they look like birds).

My build

This is my build. It is just a visual example of the various tips I mentioned above. You're free to use your own builds.

Character Trait: No Food/Poison/Medicine+HP

Job: Thief

Energy Frame: Prudent

http://i.imgur.com/0R5mJ.jpg

Gears from left to right (after applying Widens):

• Light Step - Thief ability: Won't trigger traps for a limited time. Very useful as traps can be deadly on high floors.

• DEF Nome +99 - +9342 Def, +3150 Atk. Main defense item.

• Widen - Used to boost my DEF Nome.

• Battle Denim +5 - Used for its 'Dark Damage Up 3%' Main-title. Dark damages are used to kill very few types of enemies. They also do bonus damages.

• Azusa +99 - +10792 Atk, +80 Crt. Slow shots which are useful for the arrow glitch.

Otherwise used as a melee weapon (Jump + Attack (:cross: + :circle:)).

• Widen - Used to boost most of my items.

• Paladin Shield+11 - 30180 Durability. Main damage absorber.

Pros:

- High survivability thanks to the character trait

- Arrow glitch

- No need to worry about traps

- No need to worry about poison

Cons:

- Relies a lot on the shield. Ironically, most of the time you will need to get rid of it to use the arrow glitch

- By extension, the Widen next to the shield can easily be broken

- Cannot use Medicine or Food

- Cannot use healing traps while using Light Step

i trying to help out as much as i can feel free to use whatever u want

first and all alot of credits go to novasd

i did had originally flicky defense with attack turbos mixed. but i had a level 45 bow that was 300 procent. the enemies dont seem to scale to procent. i had 7000 attack and 2k defense (defense dont matter in the end). my monsters started at 1000 but i still did more damage then usual because 300 procent bow (300 triples damage). when u get widen or triple escape as fast as u can because its very rare. u can get 1 widen by talking to grandpa (a bean). in the end i removed my flicky defense. i had a 20k shield with drain. and i used a defense item with drain. i pretty sure they stack. it was my own idea to use drain but let me explain how usefull it is (you need to be in the last stages of the game) each melee hit i got 2000 health. so when my shield broke and i get hit by the monster that can deplete ur health bar in a few sec (few health left) u can run melee someone and the 2000 health almost always give u full health back. u dont need health spells then

general tips:

when u see a knight always kill it no matter how hard the stage is its so frustrating to get surrounded by 2 and not being able to do anything other then die

when u lose ur shield, widen and bow u mostly shrewed. but u can do a few things. hit a rule gate that says fully recover, hit a demon (or evil forgot which 1) and hope it change in angel gate. when that gate change in angel it always restored my equipment. or hit an angel gate and hope it changes to 2 or 3 (2 has a change to restore equipment)

get all passives (like u said) but the pickle is very usefull because u know there are pickles when u see chicken power activated

edit: u can remove shield to do arrow glitch with some bows and after u got through door u can click remove again and it will reset ur shield. some bows cant do arrow glitch but if it are skills like rapid fire, or ice or fire shot u can do them (with the remove shield trick)

when u lose ur shield, widen and bow u mostly shrewed. but u can do a few things. hit a rule gate that says fully recover, hit a demon (or evil forgot which 1) and hope it change in angel gate. when that gate change in angel it always restored my equipment. or hit an angel gate and hope it changes to 2 or 3 (2 has a change to restore equipment)

get all passives (like u said) but the pickle is very usefull because u know there are pickles when u see chicken power activated

edit: u can remove shield to do arrow glitch with some bows and after u got through door u can click remove again and it will reset ur shield. some bows cant do arrow glitch but if it are skills like rapid fire, or ice or fire shot u can do them (with the remove shield trick)

I wasn't lucky enough to get decent Drain equipment but in the end I'm leaving some freedom to players to do their own build.

However I didn't know the fact that not every bow can be used for the arrow glitch. From my experience, I managed to do it with any bow.

If anyone can confirm that, I'll make a slim change about the arrow glitch.

Not every bow can glitch. The arrow speeds differ between bows. I've found ones that couldn't glitch because the arrows traveled too quickly. My main bow was a rapid fire one that had arrows that traveled so slowly that I was able to simply walk around them.

Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what attributes on a bow determine their rate of fire and what speed the projectiles travel. Maybe the charge speed plays a role.

i think al bows can do this if they have one of the 3 skills i mentioned but if they dont have that skills there where many bows i couldnt do glitch with cause they shoot to fast or they recharge rate is to high i think tower bow is an except example of that (30 charge i think) impossible to do if it not has the ice, fire or rapid fire skill but if it has that skill its still possible

yes some allows u to do with shield. its worht mentioning if 1 bow is able to do it all other same named bows can do it even if they effect is lower (100 or 300 procent for example). like al crimson can do it with shield

edit: but its a general rule (like tower bow) if u cant do it with removing shield and it dont have the 3 skills not all same named bows can do it

thanks for the reply. one more question. what is this paladin shield you're using? i noticed it has only 11 slots, but 30k durability?

I got it from one of my Demon-geon run. It was just a Paladin +2 but with 20+K durability already. I got it on late floors with monsters at level 6000-ish. Maybe that's why it was so high.

I managed to upgrade it afterwards thanks to Fortify Gates. It could have been even more but I only tried when the Fortify % was higher than 90. Even at this rate you can break your gear so you have to be very lucky.

Like I said in a previous post

I got plenty of +99 items while farming for 'Infinite Circuit' Sub-titles. 'Rare Title Ratio +50' items and a high LCK (luck) stat should increase your chances to get your weapon.

Edit: Thank you Puzzler for the sticky and thank you guys for your comments and tips. :)

Sorry for the late answer. Oddly enough, I was also using an Azusa+99 bow. It has a charge of 21,54.

Nw :)

Right now my current bow is Sentinel Bow+99, Charge: 19,57 with F-shot skill but i still cant outrun the arrow ( I use F-shot skill instead for the glitch ).

May i know your speed? Mine is 870 max using lv 5 Thief Walk & lv 5 Quick Traveler and -20 speed from Bronze Armor+6 because it has Drain. I see that u use Battle Denim ( +60 speed ) and i tried using that too but still cant do the glitch because the arrow already gone by the time i manage to reach on its tip.

Also which one is better, Drain or Free Drain? Drain has mana increased by 50% with it unlike Free Drain but i read somewhere that Drain is better than Free Drain although its tooltip said both have "HP recovers 1% of Damage".

My speed is 950. I just tried the glitch with your speed of 870 and I can still do it even though it's at the limit of the arrow distance.

I can't really tell the difference between Drain and Free Drain as I don't use them. :o
