MMDE
It's funny how it's been a half year, and nobody has answered this simple question... I at least still got no clue what light and dark invasion is.
Akari
Not that it matters, but I guess I'll reply. I never paid attention to status ailments when I ran through the US version of the game, but when I replayed the JP version recently, I got hit by the status ailment 'Dark'. It basically acted like poison, dealing minor damage at the end of my turns. I noticed it because I got those armlet that reduced light and dark by 2 turns, and I assume it applies to that. I never got hit by the matching light ailment though.
