SUMMARY: La Voz Vol. 2 is a singing game, the Spanish version of 'The Voice' and 'The Voice of Germany' games which are all based on their respective TV talent shows. Gameplay is the same as any other singing game - you sing songs and score points based on your performances, it's that simple. There are a mix of modes from career to multiplayer and a variety of songs to sing, the majority of which are in Spanish, but this is not a problem when going for platinum as you won't have to sing a single word unless you really want to; see the walkthrough for information on that.

This game is a very easy platinum with little to no effort required, and this particular version is beneficially glitched in a way that the other versions aren't - you will get the trophy for getting high scores in every song when you get a high score in any song. This slices the time to platinum down massively. The hardest part about platinuming this game is getting hold of a copy (it's only available physically, and only sold at retail in Spain) and setting it up so you can actually play the game.

Throughout this trophy guide I'll be referring to the 'fan trick'. If you have platinumed a singing game in true trophy hunter style before, you will know what I am talking about, but if not, let me explain: many singing games (this one included) will let you play on an easy difficulty setting and any constant noise will get you decent scores. If you prop your microphone next to a common household object such as a desk fan or a hairdryer, it will detect the sound as your singing, therefore playing the game for you. This makes playing the game genuinely effortless and leads to an easy, stress free experience.

During the writing of this guide, I was restricted as to the amount of noise I could make in my house for various reasons. I used a near-silent, very small USB fan plugged into, and therefore powered by, my PS3, and a microphone plugged into the other port. I placed both items on the floor and pointed the fan at the microphone, and this was enough for the PS3 to detect it as singing. This setup got me the platinum - I did not have to sing even once.

For the purposes of this guide I will assume you are using the fan trick as this is the easiest way to gain all trophies.

Because of the 'party' nature of this game, the following steps can be completed in any order, especially if you are using the fan trick. The only exception is Step 1 which is useful to learn what your best scoring song is, and perhaps Step 0 if you get the same set up issues that I did. I just listed them like they are below for simplicity and completeness.

Step 0: Set up the game

When I first tried to play this game, the microphones that are included refused to work, and the default settings in the game are somewhat bizarre too, starting with the music volume set to 0 and a massive offset of HDTV lag. To rectify all of this you'll need to do a little set up work, if the same situations arise for you:

  • Get your microphones working
    • Whilst not in the game, plug in your mics and go to your XMB > Settings > Accessory Settings > Manage Bluetooth Devices and delete anything you have there. It seems that this interferes with your mics, whether wired or wireless.
    • Now go to XMB > Settings > Accessory Settings > Audio Device Settings and change the Input Device to whatever your mic is called. The mics that ship with the game are simply called USB Microphone. This is so the game can actually detect noise from the mics.

    [*]In game set up

    • Go to Main Menu > Options and change the Music Volume to whatever you want. Mine was set to 0 as default and the whole game, including songs and menus, was silent until I changed it.
    • On the same menu as above, change the HDTV latency to what it actually needs to be. The sound that plays should be in sync with the screen flash. In my case, I needed to move the slider to the exact middle from the bottom.

Once you've done the above, you should be ready to go.

Step 1: Achieve a High-Score of at least 9000

This step is best done first if you are using the fan-trick as a sort of calibration exercise. Go to Main Menu > Solo > Single and pick a song to sing. You'll need to find one that gets you 9000 or more points, which will get you the first 6 trophies and come in useful for the next step. See (G) Absolute Voice for more information.

If you're not using the fan trick, you're still better off doing this first to learn the songs you'll need to sing.

Upon completion of this step, you will have earned the following trophies:

(G) 4x4 Voice

(B) The Voice

(B) Bronze Voice

(S) Silver Voice

(G) Golden Voice

(G) Absolute Voice

Step 2: The Show Mode

The next 7 trophies will come during your 'career' mode playthrough, which is called The Show. This is arranged roughly like the TV show - you'll have a blind audition where you need to try and make the coaches turn around, and then 3 rounds of battles. You'll need to make all 4 coaches turn for a trophy, and warm up your voice in a Warm Up in one of the rounds too. The rest come from natural progression and winning the show.

After you have completed this step, you will have earned:

(G) Got what it takes

(G) They want you!

(G) Battle

(G) Show down

(G) Finalist

(B) Warm up

(G) Veni vidi...

Step 3: Tournament

This is the 'multiplayer' step, and while you don't need any more people than yourself, you will need a second microphone. There is only 1 trophy to do here.

After you have completed this step, you will have earned:

(G) Tourney!

Step 4: Miscellaneous cleanup

There are 4 more trophies between you and platinum at this point, and they are all miscellaneous ones that take a minute or so each. See individual descriptions for information.

After you have completed this step, you will have earned:

(B) Real Fan

(B) Lazy

(B) Quitter

(B) Gambler

And finally, you will have earned:

(P) La Voz

Congratulations when you get this!

You unlocked all trophies in La Voz Vol. 2.

No surprises here - unlock all of the trophies below to earn the platinum for this game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/f0f.jpg Tourney! (G) :tagequipment:

You played a Tournament.

This is the only trophy that requires 2 microphones to achieve. Without the second microphone plugged in, the game won't even start.

To get the trophy, you'll need to play a multiplayer tournament by going to Main Menu > Multiplayer > Tournament. Pick 3 players to keep it as short as possible, and play through each of the initial 3 rounds. It doesn't matter who wins and who loses, it doesn't even matter whether the game detects input or not, having both mics plugged in is enough.

After this first stage, someone will be eliminated and there will be a final battle, and at the end, the trophy will pop when the screen comes up telling you who won the tournament. Again, it doesn't matter who wins here.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/cd6.jpg 4x4 Voice (G)

You achieved a High-Score in every song.

This trophy is beneficially glitched, once any of the "You achieved a High-Score of at least X" trophies pops, this will pop too. In reality this trophy should take a couple of hours or more as there are 30 songs, however due to being glitched it takes minutes. I could find no way to avoid the glitch even if you wanted to.

See the (G) Absolute Voice trophy for more information on getting a High-Score in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/a64.jpg The Voice (B) :tagstackable:

You achieved your first High-Score.

High-Scores are achieved in Solo mode only. They cannot be achieved in The Show mode because you aren't given scores, nor do they count in Multiplayer mode. I could find nothing in the game to confirm what exactly constitutes a High-Score, however you'll know you have one when you are asked to give your name to register a score on the leaderboard. You'll inevitably get this trophy while going for the "You achieved a High-Score of at least X" trophies below.

See the (G) Absolute Voice trophy for more information on getting a High-Score in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/3fe.jpg Bronze Voice (B) :tagstackable:

You achieved a High-Score of at least 6000.

Pick a song in Solo mode and achieve a score of 6000 or more.

See the (G) Absolute Voice trophy for more information on getting a High-Score in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/11e.jpg Silver Voice (S) :tagstackable:

You achieved a High-Score of at least 7000.

Pick a song in Solo mode and achieve a score of 7000 or more.

See the (G) Absolute Voice trophy for more information on getting a High-Score in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/040.jpg Golden Voice (G) :tagstackable:

You achieved a High-Score of at least 8000.

Pick a song in Solo mode and achieve a score of 8000 or more.

See the (G) Absolute Voice trophy for more information on getting a High-Score in the game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/930.jpg Absolute Voice (G) :tagstackable:

You achieved a High-Score of at least 9000.

Pick a song in Solo mode and achieve a high score above 9000.

Getting a sufficiently high score in any other mode that awards scores (such as the multiplayer tournament) will not get you the trophy, it has to be Solo mode. Getting this trophy will achieve all the score trophies below it, so it is stackable in this regard.

Using the fan trick will get you this trophy easily. Some songs are better than others in terms of fan trick compatibility but the ones listed below will generally be a good bet. It totally depends on your setup as to what will work best. Some songs are even too short to get the score, even if you did amazing on every note.

Good songs to attempt in order to make the trophy pop, are:

  • Auryn - Make My Day
  • David Bisbal - Diez Mil Maneras
  • Pablo Alboran - Quién
  • Rosario - Yo Me Niego
  • Prince Royce - Darte un beso

Again, this list is not definitive, you may have varying results but it is easily doable.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/ca3.jpg Quitter (B)

You quit during a live show.

It's best to either do this trophy first or after winning the show once, during the first round. Obviously it would be foolish to do it later on in the game, as doing so will cost you the time spent getting there. Once you've fired up the game in The Show mode (Main Menu > The Show), while singing, press :start: for the options and then :circle: to quit. Or, unplug your mics and press :circle: to quit when the game prompts before the show even starts, as this method will get you the trophy too.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/9c6.jpg Got what it takes (G) :tagstory:

You reached the second round of the show.

This will come naturally during your 'career' playthrough of The Show mode. To reach the second round, you'll need to impress the coaches during the blind audition, and make them turn around in order to 'want you!' and be your mentor on the show. You'll get this if at least one coach turns during your blind audition.

You'll need to make all 4 coaches turn round for (G) They want you!; see that trophy for more information.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/2d1.jpg They want you! (G)

All 4 coaches turned round.

You can only go for this during the very first round in The Show mode, as you can only make the coaches turn around during this round in the blind audition. You will see them spin around and their chair light up with the words 'I want you!' along the bottom. You need to make all 4 coaches do this.

The good thing here is that you get to pick your audition song from the whole game catalog. With that in mind, use the song that netted you over 9000 points in Solo mode, as this is guaranteed to be a hit with the coaches. The trophy won't pop as soon as they all turn - it will instead pop up at the end of the song, after you have picked your coach of the four that turned. It doesn't really matter who you pick, unless you are singing legitimately, in which case pick the genre / songs that you are better at.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/f9a.jpg Battle (G) :tagstory:

You reached the third round of the show.

After the blind audition, you'll be in the second round, and you'll see a menu on screen. You want to pick 'Next Show' in order to progress to the Battle round. If the option is blanked out and unselectable, you need to complete a Practice first before you can progress. Of course, the fan will do the work for you without any effort, regardless of the songs you're given to sing. The trophy will pop after you've won the battle.

Note: this is the first round where you'll have the option to Warm Up - here is the best place to do it, as the notes you need to reach are more simple than in later rounds. See (B) Warm up for more information on that.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/d53.jpg Show down (G) :tagstory:

You reached the last round of the show.

After the second round battle, you'll again find yourself with the same menu as before. Your goal here is to unlock the 'Next Show' option by completing a Practice again, and win the Showdown round to unlock the trophy and progress to the final.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/e23.jpg Finalist (G) :tagstory:

You completed every round of the show.

After the Showdown in round three, you'll be in the final. Again, you may need to unlock the 'Next Show' option by completing a Practice. This round will have no audible lyrics, subtitles or on-screen battle indicator, but this won't affect anything if you are using your trusty fan. You'll get this after the final, win or lose, though you should be aiming to win anyway for the (G) Veni vidi… trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/4d4.jpg Veni vidi… (G)

You are La Voz

This is achieved for reaching the final and winning, to be crowned as La Voz! This trophy will pop at the same time as (G) Finalist providing you won. If you are using the fan trick, this won't be a problem. See that trophy for more information if required.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/211.jpg Real Fan (B)(H)

You watched the Credits.

Go the Main Menu > Options > Credits and the trophy will pop immediately. You can then press :circle: to quit immediately if you don't feel like watching them.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/007.jpg Lazy (B)(H)

You watched the Jukebox.

Go to Main Menu > Jukebox, then as soon as the music starts up, press :start: and :circle: to quit when you want (immediately if you want the trophy quickly). The trophy will pop immediately upon quitting.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/870.jpg Gambler (B)(H)

You chose a random song.

Go to Main Menu > Solo > Single > :triangle: to pick a random song > :cross: to sing it. The trophy pops immediately, so you can quit as soon as song starts if you wish.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3093/fcd.jpg Warm up (B)(H)

You warmed up your voice.

During The Show mode, in between singing you will encounter pre-round menus. One of the options will say 'Warm Up' and you must complete this coaching session successfully in order to make the trophy pop. The easiest round to do this is directly after the blind auditions in the second round, the other rounds aren't exactly hard but the note patterns are a bit more varied.

Personally my fan was not enough to achieve this, however simply holding my microphone next to my TV speaker was amazingly more than adequate. Alternatively, make this the only part where you actually sing / hum - it's extremely easy to follow the notes and takes a few seconds to do.

Have tried the fan trick with all the suggested songs and most I have got is 8500, so it is working but just not enough. I get about 17% missed notes.

Any suggestions?

That's weird. By far the best for me was Make My Day, I have an extremely quiet fan too. Different angles etc got me different results. I read somewhere that hairdryers work well, also I'm sure someone sucked the mic with their hoover :p maybe try that?
