Introduction to Kingdom Hearts Final Mix:
Welcome to Kingdom Hearts Final Mix in HD, a long awaited HD collection many Kingdom Hearts fans have been waiting to finally release. While it may not be Kingdom Hearts 3, it's good to hold us over with all its past games in multiple HD collections with the first one including KH1, Re:COM and a movie for 358/2 Days!

Trophy-wise, the game basically asks you to do 100% completion which isn't at all hard. There are 3 difficulty trophies, however they do not stack, so you're already looking at 3 playthroughs right there. There are special "tasks" one must perform throughout the game such as beating it under 15 hours, not changing equipment and not using a continue, all of which are very doable. If there's anything to worry about when completing this game it will be the final grind when you have to synthesis every item and collect all the gummi ship blueprints.

Useful Resources Dive to the Heart: Raising Sora
Before going through the procedures to obtaining all the trophies, this is an important matter which must be laid out beforehand. Anyone familiar with Kingdom Hearts remembers the Dive to the Heart sequence as well as how the choices at the beginning affected Sora throughout the game. For those who don't know we shall bring you up to speed right now.

Sora's Statistics
At the beginning of the game you are asked to choose a specific weapon and drop a weapon. Depending on which weapon you pick up and drop will determine Sora's stats and the weapon you pick up will determine the abilities he learns and at what levels, as shown in the Final Mix PDF above.

Between the three the Shield is easily the best one as it grants you defensive abilities early and the infamous Leaf Bracer ability exclusive to the final mix version of the game which will make each of your playthroughs much easier in the later parts of the game.

Pace Sora Levels Up
After you choose and drop a weapon you will be redirected to another sequence, this time at Destiny Islands in front of Tidus, Wakka and Sophie whom will each ask you a question to determine the pace in which Sora will level up throughout the game. During your Proud and Final Mix playthroughs select all the 1st answers to level up faster and on your 100% playthrough where you'll be grinding to max out Sora's level, pick at the 3rd answers - you can refer to Level Master for more information.

Step 1: Speed Run 3 Playthroughs
The difficulty trophies do not stack, so you will be looking at 3 separate playthroughs - one on each difficulty. For this step you mainly want to speed through each difficulty with no concern for trophies at this time. Between these playthroughs you are also looking at 3 miscellaneous tasks, which are as follow:
Speedster (Complete the game in under 15 hours)
Unchanging Armor (Never change starting equipment)
Undefeated (Never use a continue)
Getting all three of these will be very easy on Final Mix Beginner with no need to worry about them. Completing some of these tasks are indeed possible on the higher difficulties, such as beating the game under 15 hours and never using a continue, however leave never changing your equipment to your Beginner Playthrough as you are given a lot of extras as a handicap in Beginner which will make up for not changing equipment.

Play on Proud or Normal first (depending on how comfortable you are with Kingdom Hearts already) and then do the other one after. Save Beginner for last as it helps condition yourself to boss fights by playing on a harder difficulty and then switching to an easier one (one that you'll be spending most of your time in no less for 100%).

Once you're done with the difficulty trophies make sure you have your Beginner save file ready for reload as it will be the start of your long grind.

Step 2: Optional Bosses/Worlds and Completing Jiminy's Journal
Now that you finished the game now you want to beginner you journey to 100% the game in general so you will be reloading your beginner save file and starting that here. If you're coming from your Beginner Playthrough where you could not change your equipment because of Unchanging Armor then go ahead and make adjustments now. While making those adjustments go ahead and equip any EXP accessories you have. This will help make your progression towards Level Master much faster, if you start to have trouble against certain optional bosses go ahead and switch them out for other accessories for that fight if you need to. In the game you were able to skip certain worlds, if you did that go ahead and clear them now. If not go ahead and proceed to Olympus Coliseum where you'll complete the Coliseum related trophies as well as sealing the keyhole that you couldn't previously and unlock the following trophies:
Novice Hero
Artisan Hero
Hero of the Coliseum
Coliseum Champion
Supreme Soloist
Time Attacker
If you're leveled up enough, you can take on the optional bosses after the Hades Cup, however it may be best to leave Sephiroth for later once you have leveled up more to make the battle easier than it needs to be. Now that you've completed that, you should have leveled up considerably from playing the Hades Cup 3 times so now its time to take on the other optional bosses and earn the respective trophies for each of them (saving Sephiroth for last):
He Who Doesn't Exist
The Cloaked Shadow
The Sandy Blade
The Frosty Giant
One-Winged Angel
Finally you'll be going on a journey to complete Jiminy's Journal, which includes: Trinity Marks, Dalmatians, 100 Acre Woods and finding rare heartless exclusive to Final Mix. For the rare heartless you can check under Professor for information or simply refer to this GameFAQs Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Heartless Guide. After you have finished this up you should have unlocked the following trophies:
Pooh's Friend
Record Keeper (This as well as the other trophies related to Jiminy's Journal)
Step 3: Synthesis and Gummi Ship Missions
This will be the longest and most difficult part about obtaining your platinum. Synthesizing items will take you a couple hours of journeying and finding the heartless who drop the materials you need, and repeating this process for each new synthesis that unlocks until you have completed them all. After you have completed all of your syntheses, you should have unlocked the following trophies:
Synthesis Master (as well as the trophies before it for individual synthesis)
Blade Master
Magic Magician
Master Defender
Finally you have the daunting task of collecting all of the gummi ship blueprints which a majority of can only be obtained by completing all of the gummi ship missions. A lot of these missions cannot be completed with the default gummi ship or even remade gummi ships from blueprints you already have, so you must learn how to make your own gummi ship and use it for the missions. After you have completed this you should have gotten the remaining trophies you need for your platinum (if Sora still isn't maxed out at level 100 do so now):
Gummi Ship Collector (and the individual mission trophies before it)
Customizer
Flying Ace
Level Master
KINGDOM HEARTS Master
Conclusion to Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD
Reliving the wonderful journey known to us as Kingdom Hearts is quite the gift, while many fans have been disappointed in the lack of anything Kingdom Hearts 3 and the fact Kingdom Hearts has never been released on consoles at all during the new gen this collection and ones to come after make up for it especially since the US never got Final Mix previously, now we get it in glorious HD. The game is quite the grind but if you're a fan of Kingdom Hearts then it'll be over before you know it, Simple and Clean.

Novice Player
Clear Final Mix on Beginner

You must complete the game on Final Mix: Beginner difficulty, after viewing the credits and watching the scene after the trophy will unlock. This difficulty is the easiest one to complete the the following trophies with:
Speedster (Complete the game in under 15 hours)
Unchanging Armor (Never change starting equipment)
Undefeated (Never use a continue)
When you start the game you are already equipped with the following accessories:
  • EXP Chain (Increase EXP by 30%)
  • Ribbon (20% added resistance to all elements and +3 Defense increase)
Already having these equipped will not affect the Unchanging Armor trophy so you can go through the entire game with these handicaps. Not only that, you also have the following in your inventory when you start:
  • 8x Power Up
  • 8x Guard Up
  • 4x AP Up
You can use these right away and it already makes up for the strength difference of using the Kingdom Key throughout the entire game.

Unchanging Armor
Clear the game without changing equipment

For this trophy, you must clear the game without changing equipment once for any of your characters. For your main characters this is essentially what their equipment will look like throughout the entire game:
  • Sora (Kingdom Key)
  • Donald (Mage's Staff)
  • Goofy (Knight's Shield)
Playing on Proud or Normal the difficulty won't start to show until half way in the game when you realize that the low attack of the Kingdom Key just isn't cut out for this task. If you decide to go for this trophy do so on Beginner with the perks listed under Novice Player. With those, beating the game without changing equipment will be made much easier for you. After you have beaten the game without changing equipment the trophy will unlock alongside the difficulty trophy of that playthrough.

Undefeated
Cleared game without using a continue

For this trophy you must clear the game without using a continue. Whenever Sora loses all his health you are redirected to a "Continue" screen where Sora floats in the middle of the screen with his heart hovering above of him with it you have 2 options, one to continue and the other to reload your save.

Whenever you select continue you are redirected to the beginning of the area you were previously in, opposed to having to reload your save and start by at the least save point you were at. For this trophy you cannot use this option - you can however use the reload option and reload your save file, doing this will not void you of the trophy and saves you time from having to turn the PS3 on and off everytime you die.

After you have beaten the game without using a continue the trophy will unlock alongside the difficulty trophy of that playthrough.

Best Friend
Collect all Trinity List entries in Jiminy's Journal

After meeting with Donald and Goofy in Traverse Town and taking a quick visit to Cid's shop, you come to notice these marks on the ground shaped with 3 hearts on them. These are called Trinity Marks and there are many scattered throughout all of the worlds. When you first get introduced to the Trinity Marks the only ones you're able to trigger are the blue trinity marks, however as you progress through the game you learn new trinity abilities and by the end game you should be able to trigger all of them (with the exception of one which must be done through optional means). Here is the list and order in which you'll obtain each Trinity Ability:
  • Trinity Jump (Blue): This will be the first Trinity Ability and will unlock after defeating Guard Armor in Traverse Town at the start of the game.
  • Trinity Jump (Red): This will unlock after sealing the keyhole in Deep Jungle.
  • Trinity Ladder (Green): This will unlock after sealing the keyhole in Agrabah.
  • Trinity Push (Yellow): This will unlock after clearing the Hercules Cup.
  • Trinity Detect (White): This will unlock after defeating Riku in Hollow Bastion.

To activate a Trinity Mark, you must have the original trio - Sora, Donald and Goofy - in your party. In other worlds if you have either Donald or Goofy switched out you will not be able to trigger it. For a list of all the Trinity Mark Locations please refer to the KH Wiki Trinity Mark Page.

Mini-Game Maniac
Collect all Mini-game entries in Jiminy's Journal

For this trophy you must complete the Minigames section of Jiminy's Journal. There are a number of minigames throughout the game, most of which you play without even realizing it, such as the trials and cups (solo and group cups) at Olympus Coliseum or all of the mini games you play during 100 Arce Woods. Outside of tasks you already have to do for other trophies you have two other minigames you must go out of your for, both located in Deep Jungle:
  • Jungle Slider
  • Vine Swinging
When you first arrived to Deep Jungle you slid down the tree to the main camp, however if you return there prior to sealing the keyhole it is now a minigame where you must collect fruits while sliding down and going down new paths.

Vine Swinging can be triggered when you go up the first vines in Hippo's Lagoon, there will be a flower bud on the ground which interacting with will trigger the minigame and at this point unlock your trophy.

Synthesis Master
Sythesize all items

For this trophy you must complete all of the synthesis recipes possible through the Synthesis Shop. This will be quite the grind during the end game and probably your longest step. For a list of materials and who drops it please refer to this KHWiki Synthesis Material List as well as the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix PDF, which will show you the heartless that carries each material. When grinding out for all your drops remember to have the ability Lucky Strike equipped to each of your part members which will increase the chance of a rare drop. To view the amount of each material you need please refer to this Khinsider Kingdom Hearts 1.5 (Final Mix) Item Quantites/ Synthesis Guide.

While a lot of the materials can be obtained through regular heartless keep in mind that there are also a lot of "special" or rare material which can only be obtained through the rare heartless as listed above, here is a quick list of materials each of those heartless drop:
  • Power Stone (Sniper Wild)
  • Energy Stone (Stealth Solider)
  • Fury Stone (Gigas Shadow)
  • Lightning Stone (Black Ballade)
  • Mythril Stone (Pot Scorpion)
  • Blazing Stone (Chimera)
  • Frost Stone (Grand Ghost)
  • Dazzling Stone (Jet Ballon)
  • Stormy Stone (Neo Shadow)
  • Serenity Power (Pink Agaricus)
Of these heartless the only one who needs an intricate strategy would have to be the Pink Agarius, as the item will only drop depending on the amount of hits you get on it (roughly 50+ for the drop chance). This can easily be done with a combination Aeroga and Ragnarok to increase your hit count. For more strategies against the other heartless please refer to the link under Professor.

Rare Materials:
Added to the drops by the rare heartless there are materials that cannot be obtained through drops and can only be obtained through synthesis and by finding them in treasure chests, materials that fall under this category are ones such as Dark Matter and Mythril. You will more than likely have to spend extra time synthesizing some extras outside of the ones acquired though treasure chests, however to reduce your work load here is a quick list of locations where you can both materials outside of synthesis:

Dark Matter
  • Wonderland - Tea Party Place
  • Agrabah - Main Street
  • Monstro - Stomach 6 (White Trinity)
  • Halloween Town - Graveyard 2
  • Neverland - Pirate Ship's Hold 4 (Yellow Trinity)
  • 100 Acre Wood - Tigger's Playground
  • Hollow Bastion - Underground Waterway 1 and Great Hall
  • End of the World - Giant Crevasse
Added to this you can obtain it as one of the prizes in the Olympus Coliseum and as a prize from one of Tarzans routes for his Jungle Slider minigame.

Mythril
  • Atlantica - Sunken Ship
  • Atlantica - Ursula's Lair (cast fire on the sea urchin)
  • Deep Jungle - Treehouse
  • Agrabah - Main Street
  • Neverland - Clock Tower (in one of the doors)
You can also obtain one by lighting the firewood outside of Pooh's house in 100 Acre Woods.

Master Defender

For this trophy you must obtain all of Goofy's Shields, most of which are purchased from the Item shop in Traverse Town. Here is a list of all of Goofy's Shields:
  • Knight's Shield (Default Shield)
  • Stout Shield (250 munny)
  • Genji Shield (Defeat Yuffie in Hades Cup)
  • Mythirl Shield (750 munny)
  • Golem Shield (1000 munny)
  • Defender (Dropped by Defender)

  • Dream Shield (Speak to Merlin after acquiring all spell arts)
  • Save the King (Win Hades Cup Time Trial)
  • Mighty Shield (Chest in World Terminus at the End of the World)
  • Seven Elements (Synthesize)
Dream Shield
For the Dream Shield you must collect Spell Arts from White Mushrooms throughout the game, they will give you a spell art after you use the same spell on them three times. The easiest way to do this is to simply wait in front of one and wait for them to go into the pose you want for your desired spell. Here are the poses the white mushrooms do and the proper spells to use against it:
  • Shivers - Fire
  • Fans itself - Blizzard
  • Light appears overhead - Thunder
  • Falls to ground - Cure
  • Spins - Aero
  • Stops - Stop
  • Floats - Gravity
Once you have acquired them speak with Merlin for your Shield. If you need quick locations for White Mushrooms here are spawn points they will likely show up in:
  • Deep Jungle: Camp
  • Halloween Town: Graveyard
  • End of the World: Linked Worlds
  • Atlantica: Sunken Ship
  • Agrabah: Treasure Room
  • Wonderland: Lotus Forest
Seven Elements
This will be in the last recipe list during Item Synthesize, the materials needed for this are:
  • 3x Blazing Stone
  • 3x Frost Stone
  • 3x Thunder Stone
  • 5x Dazzling Stone
Please refer to Synthesis Master for more information.

Secret Trophies

Proud Player
Clear Final Mix on Proud

For this trophy you must clear the game on the hardest difficulty Final Mix Proud. For a new player unfamilar to Kingdom Hearts this difficulty is no joke, even the basic heartless enemies can kill you with a few lucky hits, while boss fights will end you within 2-3 hits. Compared with the lower difficulties here is what Proud adds to the game (Added to what Normal Final Mix adds):
  • Gummi Ship attacks deal half its regular damage
On top of this you have the usual damage increase which is very noticable in this difficulty. While this difficulty may sound intimidating, don't fret as there are many tips to take into consideration that will make this playthrough much easier.

Final Mix Proud Tips
If you are confident with your own way of playing then you can ignore these tips, they may not be the best but they are very effective especially for those jumping right into the game.

Dive to the Heart - Raising Sora
At the start of the game the decisions you make will determine Sora's stats and the pace he levels up. It is highly recommended that you go with Shield and drop the Staff in this case. Dropping the Staff will weaken your magic as well as Donald's, however Donald will probably be dead throughout the game anyway and your magic will only really be used for Aero and Cure so there's no need to worry about it; focus on not hindering your attack. Added to this, choosing Shield will increase your defensive stats allowing you to withstand a hit or two more in a difficulty that is already unforgiving with its damage. Choosing Shield will also grant you abilities that you want early on that you wouldn't get until much later with Sword such as:

Ability Name (Level you acquire at Shield/Sword)
  • Guard (15/24)
  • Leaf Bracer (27/69)
  • Second Chance (36/48)
If you're speeding through this playthrough, you will probably make it to End of the World at around level 40 (more or less) and should already have these abilities. The latter two are important abilities that could make it or break it for you. Combining Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Cure will save you on so many occasions.

When selecting Sora's level pace, you might as well go with Dawn (level up fast early) so that you get these abilities fast, it starts to slow down around 40+ but by that time you should already have the abilities you want.

Solo Fighting, Get Used To It
Throughout the playthrough, your partners will more than likely die all the time, the A.I. was never really smart in any game and this one is no different. Even after they lose all of their health they will respawn with a percentage of their life after a given time mid fight, so keep focus on yourself; potions and cures should be exclusive to you.

Dodge Roll and Guard
Dodge Roll is very useful not only to cover ground faster but to get away from attacks you wouldn't think possible. Dodge Roll can slip right through almost all attacks if used at the right time, even full screen projectiles. Keep using it and get the timing to that invincible frame memorized.

While you can tech most attacks, guard has a wide window to deflect attacks and with most bosses they are put in a longer stun than you are from the guard, making it an invaluble ability.

Leaf Bracer and Second Chance
These abilities were mentioned above but let's go ahead and elaborate on them: Leaf Bracer is a Final Mix exclusive ability that makes you completely invincible when you use Cure from the start of the animation to the very end when you have healed yourself. Combined with Second Chance that stops you at 1 HP when you are about to die, if you have Cure on a shortcut you can quickly use it to heal yourself. In boss fights, even if you're at literally no MP, one chain of attacks will bump you to 1 bar of MP allowing you to recycle this method over and over until you win.

If it wasn't for Leaf Bracer, Proud would be so much harder.

Tinkerbell Summon
Near the later part of the game when you complete Neverland you will unlock the Tinkerbell Summon. This is easily the best summon in the game, she constantly heals you and your party members (because your party members will be dying, you get all the attention) and if your health drops to 0 you revive automatically (at the cost of losing Tinkerbell for the rest of that fight). Combined with Leaf Bracer, Second Chance and Cure you might as well be invincible, so long as you aren't too reckless.

Because your party members will die early on in each battle it would be wise to use this right away during major boss fights.

End of the World Final Boss Tips
At this point in the game there's no reason to conserve your better items such as elixirs and mega potions so equip them all to Sora, Donald and Goofy right now.

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Final Mix Master
Clear Final Mix

For this trophy you must complete the game on Final Mix difficulty which is essentially Normal. Comparing the difficulty to Beginner, here are the adjustments that you will be looking forward to:
  • Gummi Ship takes 2x damage
  • Your damage output is decreased by 1/3
Please refer to Proud Player for all the tips you need to make it through this playthrough.

Speedster
Defeat the World of Chaos in the End of the World within 15 hours.

For this trophy you must clear the game in under 15 hours, this surprisingly isn't as difficult as it seems. If you've played the game previously, it may seem hard when you spent a lot of time exploring each areas, taking on optional tasks mid story and fighting through all heartless encounters. If one were to run straight through the game you can easily do it within 10-14 hours depending on the difficulty. For a straightforward walkthrough of the game, please refer to this GameFAQs Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Walkthrough.

Additonal Tips for Speedster
  • Skip all heartless encounters unless you are forced to fight them, don't worry about your level as boss fights and fighting forced fights in higher worlds will easily make up for it.
  • Keep in mind that you can skip Olympus Coliseum as well as either Atlantica or Halloween Town, of the two it might be best to skip Atlantica if you choose to do this.
  • The timer is moving at all times even when you pause with or with the xmb, if you have something you need to do simply save and pick it back up when you have the time to play.
  • Cutscenes add to your time so make you're doing this on a playthrough you're trying to speed through, you have the option to press and skip scenes to reduce increase in time spent.
Once you have beaten the final boss meeting this criteria the trophy will unlock after the cutscene before the credits.

He Who Doesn't Exist
Defeat the Mysterious Man in Hollow Bastion

For this trophy you must defeat Unknown, who is located in a dark portal in the Chapel. When you enter the portal you will meet Unknown and initiate the boss fight. Defeating Unknown is very possible on Beginner at around Lv.65-70.

At the start of the fight, summon Tinkerbell immediately and cast Aeroga on yourself. Unknown uses a variety of projectiles and will move around the screen a lot. When you finally get close to him he will use a Mirror Wall to protect him and then go through it to attack you when you are stunned from the wall.

If you are at a high enough level you could just attack him contiously disregarding all his attacks and you should be able to finish the fight miraculously easy.

The Cloaked Shadow
Defeat the Phantom at the Clock Tower

For this trophy you must defeat Phantom who appears at the Neverland Clock Tower. You have access to this optional fight after you have locked the keyhole at Hollow Bastion. To trigger this boss fight you must add Peter Pan to your party and head to the Ship: Cabin and speak to Tinker Bell in the corner.

Before this fight, equip yourself with MP healing items such as Ether and Elixir and have the following magic shortcuts set:
  • Fire
  • Blizzard
  • Thunder
Upon starting the fight, head straight for the clock and lock on to the hands of the clock (it doesn't matter which side of the tower you choose, they're all connected) and use Stop on it. The clock will countdown the death of one of your party members one by one leading up to you and you cannot revive them in this fight so be sure to check on the clock and use stop on it every now and then.

The Phantom will only get hurt by spells mentioned above and melee attacks, what you can hit him with depends on the color of the orb below him:
  • Red: Fire
  • Blue: Blizzard
  • Yellow: Thunder
  • White: Melee attack
After you hit him three times he will be stunned for a minute and then attempt his own attack, which could be a claw swing or a slow magic projectile. If he uses the dark magic projectile, keep in mind that it tracks you - the best way to avoid it would be to hide on the other side of the clock tower. Because you'll be hiding during the dark magic tracking, every now and then when he does it use this time to possibly recast Stop on the clock or use one of your MP items if you're running low. Repeat this long process and you will have defeated him.

The Sandy Blade
Defeat Kurt Zisa in Agrabah

For this trophy you must defeat Kurt Zisa who appears at Agrabah in the Desert. You have access to this optional fight after you have locked the keyhole at Hollow Bastion. To trigger this boss fight, head to Aladdin's House and speak with a panicking Carpet who will bring you to Kurt Zisa.

When you can go ahead and summon Tinkerbell, she will be a great asset in this fight during certain phases the boss goes through. The boss alternates between two states, one where he has anti-magic orbs out restricting you from using magic or even items so you are limited to physical attacks and tinkerbell for life, and then a state where he protects himself inside a magic barrier. In the magic barrier he can only be hurt with spells, if you are in need of MP you can use physical attacks to make him drop MP balls as he floats around.

After doing enough damage during each state he will be stunned and fall to the ground where you are free to attack him. Repeat this multiple times and this should be an easily won fight.

Novice Hero
Win the Phil Cup

For this trophy you must clear the Phil Cup Coliseum Tournament. This tournament is available after you seal Traverse Town's Keyhole, and is the basic tournament. If you were speeding through the game you should already be significantly leveled up, making this tournament much much easier. Here are the enemy team names you will face during this tournament:
  1. Jungle Vice
  2. Monkey & Magic
  3. Big Feet
  4. Magic Alert
  5. Nightwalkers
  6. Hard Hitters
  7. Indomitable
  8. Wild Corps
  9. Shadow Battalion
After clearing all of these enemies your trophy will unlock.

Artisan Hero
Win the Pegasus Cup

For this trophy you must clear the Pegasus Cup Coliseum Tournament. This tournament is available after you complete Monstro, and is the intermediate tournament. Just like the previous tournament if you were speeding through the game before entering this, then there should be no problem with any of the enemies. Here are the enemy team names you will face during this tournament:
  1. Ghost Bandits
  2. Marauders
  3. Sluggers
  4. Pots & Bolts
  5. The Big Combo
  6. Toadstool
  7. Pots & Barrels
  8. Giant Impact
  9. Leon & Yuffie
After clearing all of these enemies your trophy will unlock. The boss fight with Leon and Yuffie really isn't hard, target one and knock them out and then aim for the other.

Hero of the Coliseum
Win the Hercules Cup

For this trophy you must clear the Hercules Cup Coliseum Tournament. This tournament is available after you seal the Keyhole for Neverland. Just like the previous tournament if you were speeding through the game before entering this, then there should be no problem with any of the enemies. Here are the enemy team names you will face during this tournament:
  1. Dusk Vanguard
  2. Minions of Horror
  3. Buccaneers
  4. Stray Phantom
  5. Mad Truffle
  6. Cloud
  7. Dark Squadron
  8. Flying Pirates
  9. Hercules
After clearing all of these enemies your trophy will unlock. Cloud is like Leon and Yuffie from the previous tournament, nothing but a simple kill. Hercules is pretty simple himself, he'll have an orange aura around him showing that he is invicible, he'll go for obvious punches and slam the ground creating a shockwave you can jump over. During this fight there will be barrels everywhere, Hercules will occassionally stop to flex and showoff so you can use this time to pick up the barrel and throw it at him to disable his invincible aura and go on the offensive on him. Repeat and he will be finished in no time.

Once you have completed this tournament you will earn the trophy and gain the Trinity Ability which you need to unlock Junior Hero.

Coliseum Champion
Win the Hades Cup

For this trophy you must clear the Hades Cup Coliseum Tournament. This tournament is available after you seal the Keyhole for Hollow Bastion and have opened the previous tournaments. This is a long tournament, opposed to the previous 9 opponents you now have a long 49 set. Don't fret though about losing, when you decide to quit or when you lose you can start the tournament from intervals of 10, depending on how far you have gotten. Just like the other tournaments, the enemies should be easy end-game, however there are two main boss fights you will have to consider for this tournament:

Hades - 10th Rank:
Hades goes through two states throughout the fight, one where he's normal and one when he flames up and turns red. During his regular state he'll mainly move towards you with flame throwers emitting from his arms, you can stop this by using Blizzard or by jumping up and hitting him with melee attacks from above. He will also sometimes go for physical hits that is hard to hit him out of.

When he flames up he'll usually do it before he moves to the middle and spins around doing a flame thrower attack that covers to the end of the field. The only way to avoid this is a timely dodge roll through the flames, he is invincible throughout this attack so you have to wait for it to finish. If he becomes free from your attacks he will back off and shoot fireballs at you, guard and deflect it back at him to stun him and continue yourself offensive.

Besides this use Aeroga and Curaga. He may hit hard depending on your level, however if you're doing this at the end game he shouldn't be too difficult.

Rock Titan - 1st Rank:
This will be the last opponent of the Hades Cup, the Rock Titan may be large but really is nothing but an easy target. Have you and your team members go crazy on his legs until he falls over, then climb up his leg and attack his head. You can still stand on his head once he stands up given you don't fall over, however if you fall down you can repeat the process of attacking his legs until he dies. Attacking his legs does damage straight to him so its really only a matter of time.

The Frosty Giant
Defeat the Ice Titan in the Gold Match at Olympus Coliseum

After finishing the Hades Cup, the fight against the Ice Titan will open up to you. Before facing him make sure you have the Guard ability equipped as it will be very important in this fight.

You fight the Ice Titan whom cannot be attacked physically like the Rock Titan until you stun him. First make your way to high ground away from the shockwaves of the Ice Titan's stomps and wait for him to shoot out his ice projectiles, guard them and they will deflect and attack him back. This will be your only way of really hurting him the entire time until you stun him and are able to run up to him to attack him for a bit, otherwise you will be running to avoid his ice attacks the entire time.

His attacks consist of ice popping from the ground below you similar to that of the dark magic from multiple boss fights, freezing the surface around you to limit your ground movement and an ice beam that will hurt you until you can wiggle out. Between these attacks the only one you need to worry about is the ice beam, to avoid this you can either run up to the highest point of the stands or superglide to the opposite side when he is about to turn in your direction.

Besides all this, the fight is tedious but easily doable. If you're having trouble despite this, try to level up a bit more and return to the fight. This could be easy to clear around level 65.

One-Winged Angel
Defeat Sephiroth in the Platinum Match at Olympus Coliseum

After finishing the Hades Cup, the fight against Sephiroth will open up to you. Mentally prepare yourself for this fight as it is quite the fight. Equip yourself with Elixirs and Megalixir as you will need it dearly for this fight. You might want to take this fight on around level 65-70 - the higher your HP/MP/Attack/Defense is, the better it will be for you. This is the hardest fight in the game right next to Unknown.

At the start of the fight when you attack him, you will notice that his health doesn't seem to go down. His health is so high that it goes beyond the limits of the game so don't pay any mind to this. Sephiroth's swings are fast and cover a lot of ground, if you want to approach him you'll have to do so from the air most of the time or by catching him when he jumps around the field. When he jumps or teleports around watch out for his Super Nova as it covers a lot of space around him and will more than likely catch you each time.

After you have finally gotten his health down one bar he will start to run around the stage as part of his movement, make sure you never take your eyes off him and continue to make sure you lock on to him when he leaves your sight. He will try to retreat away from you so that he can cast a spell that will reduce your health and MP right to zero (you won't even be able to use Leaf Bracer + Curage or Second Chance). When you see him stand in place, cover ground quick through dodge roll or superglide to interrupt the spell and prevent almost certain defeat. If you're too far to reach him you can buffer an Elixir to heal you right as you lose all your health and MP if you time the activation just right.

After getting his health down even more, Sephiroth will start to summon meteors to attack you, he is completely invincible when he summons them so you'll have to wait for the meteors to end and attack him quick. At this point he starts to teleport a lot and spam Super Nova, so start to use Aeroga more and be prepared to take some damage in order to get your hits in.

Be patient against him and he will meet certain defeat. After you have defeated him the trophy will unlock and you will no longer have to worry about "difficult" fights for the rest of the game.

Supreme Soloist
Complete any solo challenge

For this trophy you must clear a solo challenge for one of the Tournament Cups. You can take on the solo challenge after you have cleared the normal cup, complete any solo challenge and your trophy will unlock.

Keep in mind that you will need to complete the solo challenge for the Hades Cup to unlock Donald's Save The Queen for Magic Magician.

Time Attacker
Complete any time trial challenge

For this trophy you must clear a time trial challenge for one of the Tournament Cups. You can take on the time trial challenge after you have cleared the normal cup, complete any time trial challenge and your trophy will unlock.

Keep in mind that you will need to complete the time trial challenge for the Hades Cup to unlock Goofy's Save the King for Master Defender.

Level Master
Get Sora to Level 100

For this trophy you must max out Sora's level to level 100. At the beginning of the game during the Dive to the Heart sequence you were given questions, depending on how you answered those questions will determine how Sora levels up:
  • 1st Answers: Dawn (Level up faster at the start)
  • 2nd Answers: Midday (Level up evenly throughout the game)
  • 3rd Answers: Night (Level up faster at the end)
If you're playing on your Beginner playthrough for 100% Completion it is recommended that you pick the Night setting where you level faster late in the game. Regardless of what you picked, you should be at level 100 or close to it after playing through all the tournaments, defeating all the optional bosses, sythesising all the items and killing heartless multiple times for materials.

Grinding Level 100
If you're not yet at level 100, you can grind out experience by fighting the Ice Titan multiple times, just from fighting him you recieve experience for teching all of his projectiles. Equip multiple EXP+ accessories such as:
  • EXP Bracelet (30%+ EXP)
  • EXP Necklace (30%+ EXP)
  • EXP Earring (20%+ EXP)
  • EXP Ring (20%+ EXP)
And specifically for the Ice Titan equip the ability Tech Plus which gives you double experience for each attack you tech. Repeat this fight until you have reached level 100.

Treasure Hunter
Open 100 treasure chests

For this trophy you must open up 100 treasure chests. There are plenty of treasure chests throughout the game, many that you get for free from already doing Trinity Marks. This should unlock normally so long as you open up all the treasure chests that come across your way.

From Rags to Riches
Obtain over 10, 000 Munny

For this trophy you must hold 10,000 munny at one time. This will more than likely unlock during your end-game when you hunt down heartless for synthesis materials. If you want the trophy quick at this point you can save your game and then sell everything you have and then reload your save.

Heartless Hunter
Defeat over 2000 Heartless

For this trophy you must defeat an overall total of 2000 Heartless in one playthrough, this will more than likely unlock naturally during the end game grind when you are doing optional stuff. Doing the Hades Cup 3 times will surely bump your numbers up significantly alone as well as grinding out for your synthesis materials.
