Road Map

Introduction: Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad is an easy to pick up and play, arcade style rally racing game. The controls are intuitive and very forgiving. It’s a very inexpensive rally racer that is well worth the money and time spent. Although the difficulty of the game can be changed (Amateur, Semi-Pro, and Pro), none of them are really that difficult to beat. The entire game can be played on the Amateur setting while getting all of the trophies along the way.

Step 1: For the fastest route to your 100% you can hit the button to change the difficulty to Amateur after selecting the career path. Pick any vehicle along the way. You shouldn’t need to upgrade anything on any of vehicles along your career path (even if you are playing on Semi-Pro difficulty) unless you are completely new to racing games. Save all of the upgrades for either the rally cars (the fastest in the game) or the trophy trucks (sometimes more fun but not as fast). Just keep beating each track and moving on to the next all the way through until it says 100% complete. This step will net you Win First Race, Win 3 Races, Sportman Career Complete, ProLite Career Complete, Complete 10 Events, Pro Buggy Career Complete, Play 1 Hour, Rally Class Career Complete, Drive 100 Miles, and 2XL Gold Award. Total time for this step: 2-3 hours.

Step 2: Pick your favorite track (or the Wyoming track if you want the fastest to your Drive 1000 Miles trophy) on Arcade mode choose Time Trial (no obstacles), and use a fully upgraded rally car (for the fastest laps). After 6 laps you will get Time Trials. After a hundred and something laps you will get Drive 1000 Miles. You can optionally take the races online (which was more fun for me). As long as you keep racing in the same online lobby you can end up with a full one, which can be quite fun. So long as you are connected to the internet the entire time you play, it will log your miles for each track. This info can be found in records. It is a somewhat confusing record system but if you press :l1: enough you can scroll between the tracks giving you the time and miles spent on each track. Tally up the miles to see how far you have gone. Total time for this step: 5-6 hours (just arcade time trials without stopping), or 10-15 (spent online).

Extra Notes: Each upgrade block is given to you for every 1000 experience points awarded. After you accumulate five blocks without using them it appears that you need to spend these points so that you do not lose them. Fear not! It continues to add up each one in the background, so do not bother wasting precious upgrades on the beginning buggies, or for arcade mode at all. Your experience level is irrelevant (other than bragging rights). You gain experience in numerous ways including knocking down fences, different signs, performing power slides (using :circle: for e-brake), clutch boost (pressing :l1: right after a power slide), passing vehicles (extra for high speed passes), and jumping long distances. Switching vehicles enables more experience as certain things are car specific such as the fence bonus.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/D21.jpg Sportsman Career Complete (B)

Complete the Sportsman Career Events.

Complete the first three events on Career mode with the highest point standings. These races are very easy and will likely not offer a challenge except on Pro difficulty. Just start turning before each turn so that you slide into the turn. If you cannot beat it on Semi-Pro or Pro difficulty then drop it to Amateur. Although winning is not actually a requirement for this trophy, it is recommended. Each race is unlocked after the previous race (the one to the left) is played. Can be done on any difficulty.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/3B9.jpgProLite Career Complete (B)

Complete the ProLite Career Events.

Continuing from the Sportsman events are these five races. Play each of these five races to unlock this (I recommend winning, but a win does not matter for this trophy). Can be done on any difficulty.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/03C.jpgWin First Race (B)

Win any race.

After you do your first race in Career mode, Arcade or Online you will unlock this trophy. Following my Road Map you will unlock this after the first Career race. Can be done on any difficulty.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/126.jpgTime Trials (B)

Race 5 laps against your Ghost in Time Trial Mode.

From the main menu choose the Arcade mode. Choose your track, then press :right: on the d-pad to the Time Trial option. It doesn’t matter if there are obstacles. Your first lap will create a ghost. Keep going for another five laps (without exiting) and after your sixth lap the trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/DAB.jpgPlay 1 Hour (B)

Play the game for 1 hour.

Pretty self explanatory... It does not have to be consecutive. After your first hour you will get this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/E1A.jpgWin 3 Races (B)

Win 3 races in a row.

After winning three consecutive races this trophy will pop. If you are having trouble with this trophy then drop the difficulty to Amateur. If you are still having trouble with this trophy then use your upgrades to make your vehicle better. This can be done in any venue, so following my Road Map will get you this trophy after you beat the Sportsman Career races. You may, however, race the same race over and over again if needed.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/BB6.jpgPro Buggy Career Complete (B)

Complete the Pro Buggy Career Events.

These events are immediately after the Pro-Lite races in Career mode, and will unlock after clearing them. There are five races that are part of the Pro Buggy Career. After each is raced your trophy will pop (but winning is far more fun!)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/C4A.jpgRally Class Career Complete (S)

Complete the Rally Class Career Events.

After the Pro Buggy races are completed in Career mode the first Rally Class event is unlocked. Simply play these five races to unlock this trophy. Winning is optional.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/06F.jpgDrive 100 Miles (S)

Drive 100 miles total.

After you drive 100 miles total (not in one sitting) this trophy is yours. See Drive 1000 Miles.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/C8B.jpgComplete 10 events (S)

Complete 10 events

After you complete 10 different events in Career this will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/300.jpgDrive 1000 miles (S)

Drive 1000 miles total.

After you drive 1000 miles in all accumulative events you will unlock this. Performing a Time Trial in Arcade mode will get this done the easiest. The mileage info can be found in records. It is a somewhat confusing record system but if you press :r1: enough you can scroll between the tracks with :left: and :right: giving you the time and miles spent on each track. Tally up the miles to see how far you have gone.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1018/D96.jpg2XL Gold Award (G)

Complete all events in Career Mode.

There are six total events in the Trophy Truck mode, which will be all you will need to complete after the Rally Class is finished. A win is unnecessary so long as you complete all of the events.
