Introduction:

Namco Bandai Games bring us this new title with a new viewpoint to play and never seen before i.e gravity. This third person shooter will have you entertained meanwhile playing it, it has a couple of powers with 2 finishing moves which look very cool.

The campaign is 200% more fun playing it in Co-op plus it is the recommended step for a full dominance of the game, and less pain.

Speaking of the online portion, I can sum it up in one short word: "DEAD" so if you are looking to (P) this game you need to boost it, if not, well just focus on the campaign which it's worth a quick rental. Enjoy!

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Find a buddy/partner and complete the Campaign on Normal.

For this step I highly recommend you start the game on Normal WITH a partner, and get ready to revive each other a lot. To be honest this game is pretty straight forward and you shouldn’t have a very big troubles to finish the campaign in a few days/hours depends on your time to play. The game has 13 chapters and you will learn some good new moves/powers to use against enemies.

Once you can complete the campaign on Normal with a Partner you should have at least 50% of the trophies or possibly more.

Step 2: Select every final checkpoint on High Gravity and complete them solo or preferably in co-op.

The game has a "shortcut" that allows you to play only a few spots in the Campaign, yet still earn the "Rock Hard" (G) Trophy. Here the bosses will be toughest than Normal but still doable with patience and strategy (see the Tips in the Guide).

Step 3: Mop up and Grind kills.

This step you can do it before your hard playthrough, like I did, or mixing them, it doesn’t matter the order. And you will focus in the kills trophies that you are missing, see the trophy related for tackle them in no time.

Step 4: Multiplayer (AKA the looong ride).

Ok. Firstly you need to have a squad to play with it because the online is totally dead, sadly, because the matches are entertaining. In this step your best friend is the Boosting thread located here: Trophy Boosting Thread (Read First Post!) - PlaystationTrophies.org

Keep tracking for incoming boosters and make your 6-player squad ASAP and get ready for a very long ride, you need to spend like 250+ hours in this mode to gain the rest of the trophies left.

The game offers a LAN party option but you won't gain any XP, according with Subjugator:

... If you start a game without QUICKMATCH or PLAYER SEARCH (the same actually) you won't get any XP or get rewarded with challenges! You get nothing! I tried with a bunch of easy challenges! run 500 meters, kill yourself in an online match etc etc!

It has to be done in a legit online match!

This means that you MUST earn all of the MP trophies Online.

After all this and If you are lucky enough to find your complete online squad, you will have one of the rarest and unique (P)s ever and you will REALLY deserve it!

Note: The Orange banners, recompiled list of challenges & PDF file download for the "Feats Don't Fail Me Now" Trophy are made by myself.

The difficulty trophies are stackable, see the "Rock Hard" Trophy for tips and information.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/914/BDF.jpg Rock Hard (G)

Finish the Campaign on High Gravity Difficulty

The game has 4 difficulties, Low Gravity, Normal Gravity, High Gravity and Black Hole Gravity. The Black Hole difficulty is ONLY available once you beat the game on High Gravity. Luckily you don't have to play on Black Hole difficult for any trophy so don't worry about it.

For this (G) trophy you need to beat the Campaign on the High Gravity difficulty available from the start to unlock it, If you select this Difficulty in your first playthrough you will be able to unlock "Easy Going" and "Normal Guy" at the same time because the difficulties stack but isn't a recommended step because the "shortcut".

The game has a great "shortcut" for this difficulty. You need to finish the entire campaign on Normal Gravity OR Low Gravity, then you just need to replay and complete only the last checkpoint on High Gravity for every chapter and you should unlock this trophy. Doing this step you should get your Hard playthrough in no more than 2 hours (like my partner djhmetfan2 and I did) considering the loading screens that takes a while.

In addition, if you are really lucky you can find a partner that has ALREADY beaten the whole game then you can then ask them for help. By doing this you can earn these 3 trophies together in 2 hours without playing any completed chapter, if your buddy hosts & uses the "shortcut".

Tips and recommendations:

  • I strongly recommend you to play with a partner/buddy offline or online to make the things more doable than playing alone.
  • The game has indeed a bunch of hard spots and your A.I partner is a dumb, and he can't save you if you get shot.
  • Playing with a partner will allow you to save each other when you or your they get shot making it a better playthrough.
  • Always get cover first and watch out for the snipers, the rocket launchers and the grenades indicators.
  • Do not rush in like Rambo does, even on Easy you will be killed faster than you think. Take your time to take down the enemies one at the time.
  • Use your dodge move (:cross:) when you get into trouble.
  • If your partner goes down, you have 30 seconds to revive him, If he die both must start from the last checkpoint so take it in mind and revive each other.
  • Use your shield often (red power + :l2:) you will need to use it when your partner is down.
  • In boss battles it is recommended that you and your partner DON'T be in the same area, move into opposites sides to flank your enemies.
  • Use your blue power + :l2: to grab objects/enemies/rockets and throw them fast to another enemies, this is one or the best moves you have and you will save a lot of ammo.

Finish the Campaign with a Friend (Any Difficulty)

See the "Rock Hard" Trophy for tips and information. Also you can do the campaign solo on Easy and reload the last checkpoint with a partner using the "shortcut" to unlock this one.

Use the Gravlink to throw 50 Lutadore Enemies (Campaign)

To throw enemies you need to be able to use your Low Gravity (Blue Power) aim for an enemy with :r2:, once he is flying in the sky press :l2: to grab him and then press :l2: or :r2: to throw him to the air. Do this 50 times to unlock this one. Remember you can change gravity powers with :r3:.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/914/FB7.jpg William Tell Routine (B)

Shoot off 100 Lutadore Helmets (Any Difficulty)

Ok, this trophy is really easy to unlock in chapter select but will take a while to get. You can farm this in: Chapter 01 Vanguard Down, Checkpoint 04 Backyard. Aim at the helmet and shoot until you see the helmet come off, reload checkpoint, rise & repeat until the trophy pops. There are no Stats that show how many helmets you need so you should use your own methods.

This is the most annoying kills trophy to get because the Lutadores will not always lose their helmet, so I recommend you grind it on Low Gravity and be very patient. Sooner or later you will get it.

See this video for further reference:

See the "Fivesome" Trophy for more information.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/914/F21.jpg Fivesome (S)

Use the Gravlink to kill 5 Lutadores with one object (Campaign)

These two trophies are easily unlocked by chapter select: Chapter 06 Road to Hell, Checkpoint: 08 Broken Highway.

Firstly you need to go to the mark bellow the bridge, take cover with :cross: and aim to the cars on your left side, shoot with your Blue Power + :r2: once the cars are floating in the air grab one with :l2: and wait for a group of enemies to throw it with :l2: or :r2: you should kill 5-6 with a single car. If you fail just restart checkpoint and redo. I recommend to play on High Gravity because your A.I's partners can easily kill your objectives playing on easier difficulties.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/914/5FE.jpg Kicking Weightless Ass (S)

Escape from a Lurker's grasp 5 times during single player

This one is easily unlocked by chapter select: Chapter 08 Into the Depths, Checkpoint: 13 The Lurkers.

Once you are holding on to a ledge wait for a Lurker, you need to stay idle and she will suddenly try to melee you with her knives, if this happens you will see on the screen a button to press. If you press it right you will escape from her attack, repeat this another 4 times and you should unlock the trophy. Just remember to select Low Gravity because they are a bit annoying and can kill you with two hits on Normal/High Gravity.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/914/066.jpg I'm About to Blow (S)

Kill 100 Lutadore Enemies with explosives in the Campaign (Grenades, Rockets, Barrels)

You can unlock this one meanwhile you are playing the campaign, but if you need to farm it, select Chapter 11 Red Sky, Checkpoint: 04 Mine. Right at the start 6-7 enemies will start to run in front of you quickly select  and choose the grenade, throw it and you can easily kill 6-7 right there. Reload the checkpoint, rise & repeat until the trophy pops OR you can try in another spot like this video shows it:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/914/039.jpg Brotastic! (B)

Revive a friend online (Co-op mode)

Pretty easy, when you are playing Co-op you will be reviving your partner a few times per chapter so this is unmissable. Once he is down simply stand next to him and press :square: to revive him.

Another easy trophy in Co-op, just make sure you are able to use the Low Gravity (Blue Power) and when you see a corpse in the floor press :l2: to grab it and throw it to your partner with :l2: or :r2: the trophy pops right away.

This one is easily unlocked by chapter select: Chapter 04 Road Home, Checkpoint: 06 Bazaar Battle.

Once the scene begins select the shotgun and kill the 3 enemies there, you can use :r2: to make the things faster, like the video shows it, reload the checkpoint & repeat the process until the trophy pop.

Thanks to Licensedshoes who has provide some great help on this odyssey:

If you get around 30-40 kills per match, given that you don't complete any challenges in that match, you will probably net around 1000-2000xp. Gravity finishers give you 30xp, headshots 25xp, and all other kills give you 20xp. Once all of the challenges are done, it will still quite the grind for xp to reach Diamond Grav Commander....

Crater is a good map to boost for xp if you have a full lobby of idlers. One person can stand at the top of one of the cliffs where the heavy sniper spawns and if you stay up there you see most of the spawn points. Sit up and get headshots all match and you can end with anywhere from 80-100 kills. I was getting around 3000 XP per match doing this.

After all challenges are completed there is still around 100,000 xp that needs to be earned to make it to Diamond Grav Commander.

It's VERY important to know that you must play in Quick Matches, because if you play in "Create Session" you won't receive any XP.

Also it's extremely recommended meanwhile you are reaching the highest rank, try to unlock as many Challenges as you can (Weapons & Basic) because you can earn extra XP for every Challenges unlocked. So keep tracking of the Challenges too.

You can select Matchmaking mode, click :triangle: and select the rank challenge mode to see your progression.

Eh that's a low end time estimate. I saw the challenges and they look like a they'll take a lot longer than 50 hours, I mean, seriously, one of the requirements is to play a minimum of 1,000 games. So if each game took 10 minutes that's 166+ hours right there.

BTW you really should list all of the challenges under those 2 trophies in the guide, not just a link for one of them. I have no doubt this will be a nice rare plat but even with this guide I'm not sold on it.

First off, good job compiling this all together.

The info for Master Blaster and now for Feats Don't Fail Me Now we're actually put together by me (xbox gamertag The AuD Doc) on an Xbox 360 achievement site. I know on the PS3 you're not going for achievements, but, the requirements to be met for the trophies are the same. Feel free to use this information, I would simply ask that you give proper credit.

Second; your xp per match estimates are WAY off. If you get around 30-40 kills per match, given that you don't complete any challenges in that match, you will probably net around 1000-2000xp. Gravity finishers give you 30xp, headshots 25xp, and all other kills give you 20xp. Once all of the challenges are done, it will still quite the grind for xp to reach Diamond Grav Commander. I'm almost Gold Major and have quite a few matches still to go before all of the numbers are met (it's a cool 10,000 xp when you get 250 matches played in any game type though!

Yeah! I believe just dedicated Platinum Hunters or obsesional guys would complete this crazy thing 100% :p

But the game it's pretty enjoyable and you should unlock like 80-85% of the trophies in an "ordinary" time 14+- hours or so... the rest? IN-SA-NE

I enjoy a challenge but this is ridiculous lol
