Overview:

-Estimated Trophy Difficulty: 5/10

-Offline: 10

-Online: 2

-Missable trophies: None

-Do cheats block trophies?: None available

-Approximate amount of time to 100%: 1-3 hours

Roadmap:

Step 1: Learn to play.

The first step is the easiest. Just learn to play and play a few practice games so you can get your skills up to par. The controls are very basic using mostly the analog sticks and L1 to control the angle of your stick.

Step 2: Online play.

Get these out of the way first. You don't even need to know how to play if you have a boosting partner. Just get the 2 online trophies done as soon as possible and then move onto the rest. You should have the trophies Inferno Pool Ranked Victory and Online Whitewash.

Step 3: Skill Shots.

After practicing a bit and getting the online out of the way you should be able to do the skill shot trophies now. Go into a game of 8 Ball or Inferno Pool and get as many of these as you can. You don't need to get these in one game, you can take your time and get them in as many games as you like. At the end of this section you should have the trophies Jump Shot, 10+ Ball Streak , Ultimate Bank Shot , Ultimate Combo Shot , Ultimate Kick Shot and Legendary Skill Shot.

Step 4: Local Multiplayer games.

There are 2 trophies that are easily done on Local Multiplayer. Both require you to know how to do skill shots which is why you should do this after you get all the skill shot trophies. Also by now you should be able to do skill shots fast and if your doing the Local Multiplayer trophies by yourself you will need to be fast. By the end of this section you should have the trophies Group Effort and All Bases Covered

Step 5: Single Player Inferno Pool.

Now you should be good at this game and know how to do things easily and quickly. You can now move onto the Single Player Inferno Pool trophies. These are the hardest trophies in the game, but that's not saying much. Just keep practicing your Inferno Pool and you will get these trophies. By the end of this section you should have Last Over 3 Minutes, Last Over 5 Minutes and your 100%

Last for 3 or more minutes in Inferno Pool endurance mode.

See Last Over 5 Minutes

Last for 5 or more minutes in Inferno Pool endurance mode.

First of all to get into the game go to Single Player, then to Inferno Pool, then Continue (you don't need anything on that screen) and make sure you Aiming Level is on Novice and your ready to start.

The object of the game Inferno Pool is to last as long as possible. You will start with 9 balls on the table and as time goes on they add more and more balls on to the table. Once there is 24 balls on the table the game is over. You will notice the counter at the bottom right of the screen. It says X/24. The X being the amount of balls you currently have on the table and the 24 being the end of the game. Around the counter there is a meter. This meter is your Inferno meter. To get this meter up you have to make great shots like jump shots, bank shots and multi ball shots. Also you can just pocket balls in a row to get this meter up. When in Inferno mode and you make a ball it takes away another one. So this is a big help later on.

As the game progresses balls get onto the table faster. You will see a red bar right above the timer on the top of the screen. When that bar is done another ball goes onto the table.

You need to be fast and accurate to get this trophy. You want to be accurate enough that you make a ball almost every shot you make and you want to be fast enough so that your taking shot after shot with a little break in between. There is a fine line between going too fast and taking your time. You need a balance of both. Make sure the green line is lined up with the pocket because the green line indicates where the ball you hit is going to go. If you scratch early on you should just quit and retry. Scratching the cue ball will result in you losing all your points in the Inferno meter and if you made a ball and scratched on the same shot the ball you made will not count.

Keep trying at it and you will get it. I can almost guarantee you will not get this on your first try.

11.jpg  10+ Ball Streak (Bronze Trophy)

Pot 10 or more balls in succession.

This is very easy trophy. This must be done on Inferno Pool mode. Just try to sink ball after ball. Don't even worry about the clock just take your time and make sure you pocket the shots. Make sure the green arrow is pointing so that the ball goes into the pocket and then shoot. Pocket 10 or more balls in a row to get the trophy.

10.jpg Inferno Pool Ranked Victory (Bronze Trophy)

Win an online ranked match of Inferno Pool.

You will definitely need to find a boosting partner for this one. The online is pretty non existent. The invite system is also not up to standard so the easiest way to get into a game with your friend is to go to Online, then Inferno Pool, then hit Quick Match at the same time and then you can start the game. Win the match and you get the trophy.

09.jpg Online Whitewash (Silver Trophy)

Clear your table in an online 3 minute Inferno Pool ranked match.

The online is practically non existent so once again go to the boosting thread and get a boosting partner for this one.

Online Inferno Pool is much different than Single Player Inferno Pool. In single player your racing against the clock and balls are added onto the table after the bar at the top runs out. In Online Inferno Pool when one person makes a ball the ball goes to the opponents table. So if the other person doesn't make a ball then all you need to do is clear your side of the table and you win. You will have plenty of time to clear the table.

This must be online and it must be a ranked match.

07.jpg Jump Shot (Bronze Trophy)

Successfully pocket a ball after jumping over another ball.

If you don't know what your doing this can be a tough trophy. To do a jump ball first hold L1 and push up on the left analog stick to get your stick as high as it can go. Then pull the right analog stick back repeatedly to gain your shot power. You will notice the gray line starting to take more of an arch form. When you have enough power hit the shot. The cue ball should jump over a ball and then the cue ball should proceed to pocket another ball. You make this shot much easier if you set it up beforehand. Try to hit a ball so that it is close to the pocket. Then get a scratch so you can move the ball anywhere you'd like. Press the L3 button and then move the ball so that it is behind one ball and is in line with the other ball near the pocket. Don't put the cue ball to close to behind the ball your jumping over because if the cue ball even taps the ball your trying to jump over it doesn't count.

This can be done in either any game mode but is easiest done in either Inferno Pool or 8 Ball. In 8 Ball be careful though. You must make your type of ball. So if you made a solid color ball first then you will need to make it so that you jump over a ball and pocket a solid colored ball. You can jump over any type of ball as long as you make your own ball.

01.jpg  Ultimate Bank Shot (Silver Trophy)

Score over 1000 from a single Bank Shot.

To do a bank shot you need to hit the cue ball into another ball, the ball must then bounce off the side of the pool table and go into the pocket. The points for a bank shot is determined by how long it traveled off the bank, how many sides it banked off of and the angle in which you had to shoot the ball to make the bank shot. The easiest way to get this trophy is to do a bank shot that goes the full length of the table. To do this make sure the ball you are aiming for is in the middle of the table. Hit the cue ball so that it hit the target ball and makes it bank off the far wall and land in the pocket on the opposite side.

Do this in a game of 8 Ball as there is no time limit and unlike Inferno Pool balls are not added to the table, which could potentially get in your way. Just make sure in 8 Ball you hit your type of ball in. If you hit the other type in then it won't count.

02.jpg Ultimate Combo Shot (Silver Trophy)

Score over 1000 from a single Combo Shot.

To do a combo shot hit your cue ball into another ball which pockets another ball. To get 1000 points in one shot try long range and multiple combo shots. Try to set up a ball so it's right in front of the pocket then hit a ball into it from a distance and you will get this trophy.

This is easiest done in either Inferno Pool or 8 Ball. I think it's easier in Inferno Pool because there are more balls on the table giving you more chances to set up these shots.

08.jpg Ultimate Kick Shot (Silver Trophy)

Score over 1000 from a single Kick Shot.

To do a kick shot you need to hit the cue ball against the side of the table and then the cue ball must hit a ball into the pocket. Your score depends on how far the cue ball travels, the angle at which you hit it and how far the target ball travels before it goes into the pocket. Do a full table length kick shot and you will get the 1000 easily.

You can do this easily in either 8 Ball or Inferno Pool. I recommend you do it in 8 Ball though as you have an unlimited amount of time and balls to not get added onto the table.

12.jpg Legendary Skill Shot (Silver Trophy)

Score over 5000 from any single shot.

This trophy will most likely come at random. This is one of those trophies where luck plays a big role. I got this while playing Inferno Pool and trying to pocket a shot it went from one end of the table and back and pocketed 2 balls. There are a few ways to get this easily though.

One way is to combine the skill shots jump ball and combo shot. If you jump over a ball and make a combo shot afterwards this is almost a guaranteed 5000 points.

Another way is to hit the cue ball so that it keeps bouncing off the sides of the pool table and knocks a ball in. If you get about 4-5 sides hit in one shot and pocket a ball you will get the 5000 points.

Also in Inferno Pool try to just wait until there are about 20 balls on the table and just hit a group of them as hard as you can. This way requires luck but you can pocket a lot of balls this way and is another easy way to get the 5000 points.

03.jpg All Bases Covered (Silver Trophy)

All players complete every skill shot in a 3 minute, multiplayer Inferno Pool match.

Start a Local Multiplayer Inferno Pool match and set the time to 3 minutes. There are 4 skill shots you have to do in order to get this trophy and both players MUST do them all.

The skill shots are:

Kick Shot: Pocket a ball by hitting the cue ball off the side of the table, into another ball.

Bank Shot: Pocket a ball by hitting a ball off the side of the table and into a pocket.

Jump Shot: Pocket a ball by hitting the cue ball over a ball and into another ball.

Combo Shot:Pocket a ball by hitting one ball into another and pocketing the second ball.

This can be done with 2 controllers by yourself but will be very difficult as you don't have much time. If you have Rock Band or Guitar Hero instruments they can be used as the second controller. If you are using them you will just need to go to Controller setting and set the normal controller to 2 and the instrument to 1.

06.jpg Group Effort (Silver Trophy)

In a 3 minute multiplayer Inferno Pool match, each player must achieve a high skill shot rating of over 2000.

Make a Local Multiplayer Inferno Pool match and set it to 3 minutes. Both players must then pocket at least one shot that scored 2000 points or more. My suggestion is to do a jump shot or a bank shot. If you do a jump shot and jump over 2 balls and then pocket a ball then you will easily have the 2000 points needed. Another way is to make a bank shot that went across the whole table. Meaning the cue ball is at one end the ball you are trying to pocket is in the middle and you want to hit the pocket that is right or left of your cue ball. Just hit the ball make it bounce off the farthest side and it should travel down the whole table and hopefully go in.

This can be done with two controllers by yourself. It shouldn't be too hard as you have plenty of time to make the shots i suggested. If you have Rock Band or Guitar Hero instruments they can be used as the second controller. If you are using them you will just need to go to Controller setting and set the normal controller to 2 and the instrument to 1.

Why have'nt all the images been added?

At the time the guide was made the images weren't all added to the site. They weren't added to the site until long after the guide was made so I eventually stopped looking to see if the images were submitted. I'll add them now, thanks for telling me.

Yeah this is true for me too, I still haven't gotten it...

This guide and game is rather old so maybe back then game was easy when compared to other titles at that time. And before there wasnt as much competition on making guides, rather than today they are much more accurate and full of info.

But i agree, game is not easy and it took me a year of on/off playing to get 5min trophy.
