Introduction

inFamous is a game that you should be ready to play for a week at least. the trophies will not come quickly and not without some effort. You should be prepared to play through the game at least twice, once good and once evil. You should make sure that before you start either playthrough that you look through the list of trophies and are mindful of which trophies correspond to your karma and focus on only those. You may think that being neutral karma gives you options to be each but that is NOT what this game is about. Either be completely evil or completely good. There is debate about which Karma has the better powers so choose whichever you like for your first and second playthroughs as long as you do both karma paths and only one per playthrough.

Walkthrough:

Step 0: Decide if you want to go for 1 or 2 playthroughs

If you want to go for the (P) in 1 playthrough then see this Guide by MrMinderBinder: LINK but if you want to do 2 Playthroughs instead, move onto Step 1.

Step 1: Karma Choice 1 Playthrough on Easy or Medium

This playthrough you will focus on the majority of the combat trophies. You should go through the main storyline at whatever pace you like doing the side missions along the way. Stick to your Karma of choice and do the corresponding side missions. If you chose to be good, you are going to be adding the stunts to your list of things to do this playthrough. See the stunts guide for opportune places to preform these stunts. This playthrough will net you half of the story trophies, the combat related trophies, one set of karma path trophies, and a few other miscellaneous trophies.

Step 2: Playthrough on Hard Following the Story Missions only

Do it on hard this time while focusing on the other karma path. It's not too hard to beat the game on hard but you want to do only the story missions until you get the "Hard Finish" trophy. Avoid Collecting any of the Blast Shards, excluding the first shard that you must obtain to proceed with the game, as you will need the experience later when on an easier difficulty setting. The same applies to side missions, dead drops, and Karma missions. Once you've beaten the game on hard turn the difficulty to easy or medium and begin your clean up.

Step 3: Clean Up On Hard File

Now that you've beaten the game, gotten Hard Finish, and changed the difficulty, it's time for you to clean up the rest of trophies. Start out by Collecting all of your Blast shards and Dead Drops. See the trophies related to these collectibles for a guide to finding them all. Once you've done that, being finishing the side missions which correspond to your karma path. This should bring you close to the amount of experience needed to purchase all of your karma related upgrades but if not then you should complete neutral side missions or simply let loose upon wandering enemies. You should have all trophies at this point if you've been following this map. If you still have a few left to obtain, do it now as that is all that is left.

Congratulations!

Stunt, Combat, and Shard Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg Frequent Flyer (B)

Travel 5 kilometers using Static Thrusters.

You have to wait until you have unlocked this ability to get this trophy. To use this hold :r1: after jumping. This should come fairly quickly but if you want a few good places to fly from, the best place would be to climb the tower that you dropped the food from at the start of the story and fly off there or the tower from your fight with Alden. Of course, you could get this from flying off of any building, even if you simply jump into the air and fly down. You should really just play the game and wait for this to unlock naturally.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Hotfoot: Travel 25 kilometers while riding the rails. (B)

You first have to unlock the ability to grind on rails which you will get after your second powerstation in Neon. Once you've gotten this ability you simply need to jump on the train tracks, hold the left stick forward and keep grinding until the trophy pops up. Depending on how much grinding you've already done and when you do this trophy, you'll probably need 10-12 laps around the Neon for this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Electric Hobo:Ride the train for 2 kilometers. (B)

You will need to get the trains moving first to get the trophy so first complete the mission where you make the trains start to move again. Once you've done this hop on the top of one of the trains and wait on top for the trophy to pop up. It could take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes depending on how far you've traveled prior to doing this.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Casey Jones:Take down 25 enemies while riding on a moving train. (B)

In the mission where you get the train moving again in Neon, there will be a 5 second cutscene where you will see a Reaper with a rocket launcher. At this point kill him and the other guy and then kill yourself. You will respawn at this point and should continue to do so until the trophy pops up. If you are past this mission or don't want to there are two other missions called "El Train" that are a mini version of the mission in Neon. The easiest way to get kills while on the train is either the grenades or the megawatt hammer. You should spam these as you have infinite electricity while on a train.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Roadkill: Take down 25 enemies while riding on the roof of a moving vehicle. (B)

You will want to do this during the main story mission where you escort the bus to the hospital. You are on the bus so you should have infinite electricity. This means that you should go nuts with your grenades and the megawatt hammer. You will want to take advantage of the spawn points on this one, once you cross the bus over into the Warren you will see three enemies moving towards the bus. At this point simply chunk a few grenades at them and wait for the to explode. Throw a few at your feet at this point and keep doing this until you get the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Drop Everything: Thunder Drop for a total distance of at least 500 meters. (B)

A thunder drop is where you jump and then hold :square: while in mid air. You will get this skill during the tutorial section of the game. This should come fairly quickly but if you want to farm this climb to the top of the building you dropped the food from and drop off a few times until the trophy pops up. Depending on how far you've dropped this could take anywhere from a few minutes to ten. This can be gotten by jumping and dropping anywhere, you should get this just by playing the game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

AC/DC: Drain 750 megawatts of power from Empire City. (B)

In the first Sewer mission you will come across a transformer that you will have to fix. As this has infinite electricity coming out of it, you should use your shockwave until you are out of cores and then fill up your cores to the max. Repeat this until you have the trophy. If you try to get this during the first sewer mission, it's going to take you around 15+ minutes using the above method depending on how many times you've refilled cores throughout the game. You'll more than likely get this trophy just by playing the game, however, so it is advised to simply play the game and wait for the trophy to unlock naturally.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Get Off My Cloud: Get 100 High Fall take downs. (B)

In the side missions where you have to destroy the water towers there are plenty of reapers on top of high buildings so simply shockwave a few of them off and then kill yourself to restart the mission. Easiest when you have the good karma shockwave upgrade and when doing on easy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Red Baron: Take down 100 enemies while they are airborne. (B)

This is easiest done when in good karma and with the first upgrade of the shockwave since it will suspend enemies in air for a few extra moments. Shockwave someone into the air, and then shoot them with a regular bolt. You can do this at the same place you get "Get Off My Cloud" as you will have room to shoot them in time. After you get about 10 of them you should get the feel for shooting them in the air and this will come quickly.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Fish in A Barrel: Kill 50 enemies by using water. (B)

During the first sewer mission you will come across a checkpoint where you will see five or so reapers on a few platforms. Shockwave them into the water and then zap the water. Once you've killed them, jump into the water to kill yourself and repeat this until the trophy pops up.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Oh, You've Done This Before: Take down 50 enemies by sticking them with a grenade. (B)

Get a direct hit on an enemy with a grenade to get it to stick. There is no way to farm this but it is easiest to aim at their feet. The aiming is a bit off so this will help you to him them a bit easier. If you want to make this easier do it on good playthrough, the bombs are larger and you won't have to worry about getting splash damage from multiple grenades.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

The Hunger: Bio Leech 100 enemies. (B)

Leech everyone you see on your evil file and you will get the trophy. Note they must be enemies though, you can farm this on the same place that you get high falls since there are many enemies there. Enemies include cops that shoot you, reapers, dustmen, First Sons, and any other person hostile towards you.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Doctor Cole: Heal 250 pedestrians. (B)

This is best done on Good karma playthrough. You can find downed civilians all over the place, but there are more in the medical clinics, near lots of reapers, or where the tar fountains are in the main story mission where you must find the source of the tar. If you want you can save your game onto a seperate file, kill people, heal them, and repeat till you get the trophy then delete this save and go back to your regular save.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Stunt Man: Complete any one stunt from the stunt list. (B)

see "Stunt Master."

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Stunt Coordinator: Complete 10 of the stunts on the stunt list. (B)

See this thread for help on getting all dead drops: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/infamous/13789-blast-shards-dead-drops-maps.html. The drops are acquired by hitting :l3: and then following the gray ring to the satellite dish. The dish will give off a beeping noise if there is still a drop to be found from it. Besides the trophies, the drops actually really do nothing. You get some information about the story but that's really it.

See this thread for all things shard related: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/infamous/13789-blast-shards-dead-drops-maps.html. Shards are everywhere. Literally. There are 350 of them and are spread out through the three islands. The shards give you an extra power core for certain amounts collected. See the thread for the breakdown of shards per island.

Goody Two Shoes: Reach full positive Karma. (S)

Do everything good, every karma choice, heal all downed pedestrians, capture all downed enemies and you will get this eventually. If you make a few bad choices you are ok, but stay on the good side so that you don't have to worry about having your karma go bad. Killing enemies when good gives you good karma as well as doing good side missions.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/2.jpg

Truly inFamous: Reach full negative Karma. (S)

Do everything negative, every karma choice, leech everyone, and if you REALLY want this fast just go around on the grind rails throwing shock grenades everywhere. This will kill alot of pedestrians which ups your negative karma, you can get inFamous very quickly this way.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

True Potential: Purchase every upgrade for a single power. (B)

There are three upgrades available for most powers so just buy them all for a single power. This is easily done early in the game, just purchase all three upgrades in either melee or damage resistance. Melee is cheaper but resistance is more useful I'll let you choose which.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/2.jpg

Evil to the Core: Purchase every negative Karma upgrade for each power. (S)

Max out all of your Negative Karma powers. This should be done on your evil karma run through of the game. You will have plenty of xp to spend so this should not be an issue, but if it is just do stunts to unlock quick xp. The only powers with karma related upgrades are the lightning, shockwaves, grenades, and megawatt hammer. If you have beaten the game and you still don't have enough karma you should do side missions and collect shards. Also, do this on easy since you get the most xp there. If you have done all of this enemies will be scarce and shards will not be available so you should start a new game and try again.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/2.jpg

True Hero: Purchase every positive Karma upgrade for each power. (S)

Max out all of your Positive Karma powers. This should be done on your good karma run of the game.

Community Organizer: Take over all territory in the Neon District. (S)

Complete all the available side-missions in the Neon District and you will have this trophy. Unlocks after you first move to Warren if you have 100% in Neon. If you still have territory not taken over and you have no yellow dots, then you have to go the area and kill enemies that appear. One of them should give you a Hidden Package mission which when completed will net you the area. You may not get the package even if you kill all the enemies so in this even re-load a save and try again. The side missions don't take long at all and generally net you alot xp. Also, if you complete a good mission an evil one is blocked out. This does not affect the % as you will still get 100% since the game is made to block those out.

Civic Leader: Take over all territory in the Warren. (S)

This is unlocked after all missions are completed in warren.Complete all the available side-missions in the Warren and you will have this trophy. You must beat Alden for this trophy to unlock as well. Urban Designer: Take over all territory in the Historic District. (S)

Complete all the available side-missions in the Historic District and you will have this trophy. This is completed after all missions are completed in the Historic and when you have beaten the last boss. If you still have territory not taken over and you have no yellow dots, then you have to go the area and kill enemies that appear. One of them should give you a Hidden Package mission which when completed will net you the area. You may not get the package even if you kill all the enemies so in this even re-load a save and try again. The side missions don't take long at all and generally net you alot xp. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/1.jpg

Taking Out the Trash: Defeat Alden. (B)

Alden is fought at the end of the Warren. The boss is not that hard, use the electric circuits to charge when you're out of cores, and the rest of the time scroll side to side dodging his attacks and shooting off megawatt hammers and regular bolts his direction. Not much to the battle, just make sure to stay alert and to not get hit.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/2.jpg

Clean Up Your Act: Defeat Sasha. (S)

Sasha is fought at the end of the Neon district. You'll have to do short button mashing sections to damage her, follow the instructions on the screen to complete them. During the parts you don't mash buttons she will teleport around the area and attack you. Stay out of the water and recharge as needed, grenades are your friend here. When she's crouched on the ground go up to her for another mashing sequence, once you've done it for a third or fourth time she'll go down.

Evil Finish: Finish the Story while Infamous (S)

If you are evil at the end of the story this unlocks.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/122/3.jpg

Hard Finish: Finish story mode on Hard, without changing the difficulty setting. (G)

Do this on your good playthrough for starters. This isn't too much harder than medium or easy but a few parts are difficult:

Escorting the Bus:

Once you "Roadkill" you should jump off of the bus and kill enemies quickly. This will make them focus on you and not the bus and make it easier to aim at them. Jump back up when enemies are all gone or when you need quick electricity.

The First Time You Loose Electricity:

This is difficult because of the sheer mass of enemies. The best route is to jump from building to building on the left side of where you start from. There are not as many enemies and more buildings this way. Also, you should focus on getting to the manhole you have to go down ASAP, once you activate it you can't be killed and will move on.

The Prison Fight:

Again, having to kill tons of enemies is always fun but a bit challenging. Use the pads of infinite electricity as much as you can, spam grenades and the megawatt hammer for quick kills. If you can try to pick a few enemies off as they run in with precision mode. When you get to the point where the giant golem like conduits come to attack you, spam megawatt hammer shots at them. This will ensure that they go down quickly. If they destroy your pad, there are two more around the area so go to one of them and resume your hammer spamming. Grenades are good if they get too close.

General Tips:

+ Drain electricity whenever possible if hurt or not full. If you need to zap some metal with your bolt and then drain that.

+ Upgrade Damage Resistance ASAP.

+ Upgrade Grenades and Megawatt Hammer as soon as possible, only upgrade shockwave to level 1, the same goes for your regular bolt

+ Use the polarity wall often and upgrade only once

+ Buy the upgrade for faster draining and if you have spare xp buy the induction yield

+ Don't be afraid to take cover and try to save enemies for leeching, they may save you in the middle of a battle

some side missions don't open up until you progress the story. Also some are pop up from killing reapers and checking their dead bodies (it will be obvious when it happens). Also "Community Organizer" won't unlock until at least do the story mission that leads you out of Neon. I had 100% and didn't get it until the end of that mission.

Also I probably missed a few but I had 18 Cores with 15 shards left till my next one when I left Neon. If we can find out how many are in in each district, or how many we should have by the time we leave it might help. So anyone else know where they were when they left Neon

mods can we get a sticky on one of these guides?
At this time, I don't feel any of these guides are ready for a sticky. Everyone appears to be off to a good start, but all of these guides will have to be fleshed out before we put any of them on the main site.

I would suggest everyone read over the following guide and then try to apply that it says wherever they can in their guides. http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/faq/5895-trophy-guides-complete-walkthrough.html

Im done with hard mode and it's really not bad at all. Put all XP into Reduced damage first, then into the common abilities (bolt, shockwave) as you can depending on your rank. I played through on hard as Infamous and found that the megawatt hammer and genades for being evil are far more effective.

An easy way to get the Flying Melee stunt is to use the Megawatt Hammer with the second good upgrade, which makes enemies float in the air and fall very slowly to the ground. Even better, the second upgrade allows you to direct the slow moving megawatt projectiles using your standard lightning bolt attack.

Some more tips for anyone.

Fish in a barrel.

The enemies can also be killed when they land in water. i.e. shockwave and enemy into the water and if he dies on impact, it will count towards the trophy. I know this because I did just that right before I got my trophy.

Stunts

Flying melee. This can also be done by just beating guys up close to the edge of a roof. Best done in Warren when you have maxed out your melee abilities.

Right back at ya. The easiest place I found for this was the mission where you and Zeke climb up Aldens tower to get the sphere. There will be an opportunity on your way up the elevators where there will be a lone enemy with a grenade launcher. Just use shockwave on him as he fires his grenades. Also, when you get to the top of the tower, 2 more grenade launcher guys will come out giving you another chance.

Whack A Mole. This one is very easy right after you cross the bridge to the historic distric. Kessler sends the giant pinkish, redish, conduits after you. Zap them just until the shrink back down to normal size. As they are shrinking, climb up a little ways and thunder drop off.

Crowd Control. I also got this one on the bridge mission where you kill Alden. One of his attacks will be throwing those little 'dogs' at you. At one point he will throw close to 10 at once. They are the easiest to get it with, as you know it will be a one hit kill with anything. Just not sure of a lot of places where you can find 5 in a tight space.

Splash and Crash. Get on a really high roof with an enemy below you. Make sure he is directly under you when you jump off. Immediately go into precision mode and zap him once. Then thunder drop your way down to him. Make sure not to hit anything on the way down.

Your going to have to go thru the game twice at least to get all the trophies, (good and evil) and do one on hard difficulty. There's not really any that you can't go back and finish as long as there's still enemies to kill. But from my own experience, I'd say concentrate on getting the Fish in a Barrel trophy (kill 50 enemies using water) while your in the sewer, and make sure you get the Have a Nice Fall stunt (knock 3 enemies off a roof with a single shockwave) at the first opportunity, as I'm just about finished with the whole game and cant find 3 enemies on a roof for the life of me.
